Okay, I did see the announcements for the new banners on the day itself but didn't have time to post anything about it...

I do see some people asking why no Xavier kisses but, hear me out. Imagine no Xavier kisses for all the cards. But then his birthday one comes out, and it ends up being the most sweetest of kisses? Man.

Now, when I was applying for government arts grants during the big 2020 lockdowns, working a six day week for the sake of making a graphic novel seemed perfectly fine and healthy to me. However, now it is 2023 and I am starting to feel as though committing to this schedule until the end of 2024 may have been. Poorly thought out.

i grew up with the tv on 24/7 basically for the first 20 years of my life and i love the possibilities streaming a whole show can give u and shit but i rly think, surprisingly, having constant background noise by which you could also track what time it was (bc of everything being on half hour intervals) was really really good for my adhd. maybe? im not sure. i just wish i could do more stuff like that again but with the stuff i actually want to watch lmao

I’m on this committee at my synagogue to run some combatting antisemitism workshops in the local community which is important work that I’m happy to do but we’re affiliated with a national organization (you may be able to guess which one) that does educational webinars for us the facilitators and they’re all scheduled at like 3pm on a Thursday and it’s literally like some of us have jobs

#I am. the only one on my committee who works FT in person but even if I was hybrid or remote… I have to work?#at least my committee is sensible about scheduling but if the nat’l org is wondering why young Jews aren’t participating in institutional #Jewish life like literally look in the mirror first #yeah fine it’s the ADL and I hate them but at least at the synagogue we have free rein on implementation #my life is very stupid lately sorry to be on the dash complaining but this is all I have #rare pic of me in the wild

i wasn't made to work a full week. i was made to have days off and walk around my silly little neighbourhood that i hate but also love and spend the day chilling inside watching my favourite shows and walking my dog whenever i feel like it i hate capitalism i hate needing money for everything

#i don't mind aspects of being hired and the rules and tighter schedule but the thought of losing the days i used to have off are making #me depressed #i wish my country was forward enough to implement a 4 days week work schedule #but it's never going to happen here #the rich are way too greedy to care if you have peace for one day #anyways this is me once again complaining about having to work #wish i could be a freelance forever but that's not safe and i have zero benefits :/

actually going to throw the hugest fit over my parents making me do dishes. i am HAPPY to do dishes on assigned nights. it's FINE. i hate it so much but i'll get it done and if i'm having constant breakdowns over it then like. idk. maybe that's another issue that you should be looking into but it doesn't mean that i'm not up for doing the dishes. but now my mom wants to have the five of us just. do the dishes on a rotation? which is FUCKED cause i have SHIT to do! the fuck happens when i have dnd? or want to go out with a friend? or have class until late? literally worst fucking idea on earth i can do the fucking dishes but i have to be PREPARED for it. for instance don't make it so every other week i'll be fucking Doing something when it's my night to do the dishes

I’ve been using the Pokemon Sleep app since it first launched and have been enjoying it immensely

it’s actually helped me start a regular bedtime routine every night, which I’ve sorely needed

however I don’t appreciate it calling me out for having inconsistent sleep times, like yes, thank you, I’m well aware I have insomnia thanks lfkgjhgfldkjs

i really shouldn’t be so regularly upset that its always so slow at work bc it gives me down time i guess but. im such an adhd freak i NEED to move and then on top of it. i NEED to smoke and i dont take smoke breaks and would probably get shit on hard if i asked for one. but its so hard to sit in a chair doing nothing for hours on end

so i did some research

And technically the things we're studying in cbse in my grade (which is like early years of highschool) is the same thing you all are studying in 10th - 11th grade in the United States

also question do you have lockers and if so , what do you bring in your bags if you keep all the books in the lockers ? (We do not have lockers at my school because we need to take all our books back every single day for revision and homework and stuff)

Bestie with my state you're probably studying stuff we learn in senior (12th grade.) I've confided with some friends who are still in the US but different states and found that ah.

My education system sucks. A lot.

So that honestly checks out! I would expect many people have a much better learning system than we do!

And we used to. In middle school we did but then COVID happened, and my school realized that it really wasn't worth maintenance costs when pretty much all of the students were fine with not doing so.

Anyway, when we still lockers we had to bring our books home everyday, (we'd stop at our lockers before we left to go home.) But before school we'd stop at our lockers and have pretty much everything in our backpacks. Except for maybe a spare notebook or smth. And a few pencils in there just in case.

But then we'd unload everything in there except for say what we needed for first period. Now I had English the first two periods of the day, so I'd be sure to bring whatever homework I needed, a pencil, and sometimes a book.

Then, when we had passing period (4 minutes to get from class to class) you could exchange what you needed for your next class. This wasn't preferred because sometimes you'd be marked tardy bc your locker wouldn't open or it was really far from your class, etc. But I don't really remember since I had my two electives after that--which i didn't really need anything for--and then lunch.

If I did have a locker now, I only have four periods a day (as opposed to eight) So I'd probably just take out stuff for my morning two classes and then while getting my lunch exchange it for the stuff for my last two classes.

But nope! I'm stuck carrying like 30 pounds of weight because I'm the unlucky guy who has all of his periods that require big ass textbooks on the same day!!

#i have english and science and s. s. and animal sci!!#lucky me!!#anyway. it's fine my schedules moving around a little bit so i should have one free period next semester #but yeah. idk if this makes any sense but that's what we did w/ lockers #personally since i've been at this school we haven't had lockers (they implemented that the year before i got there)#so i haven't really experienced it in a while!#asks #rtc tag

okay so good news one of the classes next semester seems like it might be rough on me BUT it's the class all my friends are taking :]

#more importantly my roommates so i'll be around like. other people who know what's going on #and then my philosophy class is about as rough as last time #one of my other classes has implemented daily quizzes which is better than a lot of tests tbh #im going to have final exams this sem which is unfortunate last semester i just had writing assignments #or exams that weren't scheduled on like one specific day #still hanging out for the other two classes!
