Ron said there was a sixty second window of suggestibility, yes?
That’s the exact amount of time it takes for Reagan to read the script and give her heartfelt emotional speech about how much she loves him.
Who’s to say that second part doesn’t stick with him same as the Martin Higgins identity?
#Reagan/Ron shippers this is how we can still win#I’m thinking end of season three or through season four we introduce the idea that someone is kinda. looking into Reagan.#and Reagan - she’s got her team life is how it is at Cognito#but this new implied threat - it’s weird because they don’t actually exist? it’s hard to track them down#it’s like they’ve done this paranoid conspiracy work before#it’s Ron we all know it’s Ron - but he’s Martin now#that’s who he is but he just has the faintest echos of memories bc of what he heard Reagan say#and it wasn’t a big deal but it’s like a little lapse of memory. a lyric you can’t place to a song.#Martin wasn’t gonna care or think of it much but then he sees Reagan… maybe on the news? something?#and he goes ‘oh. that’s her. she’s the person.’#what happens next? for the sake of his arc I think he and Reagan talk. and she tells him just enough.#she explains ‘you worked somewhere like here. and you weren’t happy. you wanted to leave#I cared - care - about you and so I helped you set up a new life.’#and through this Martin recognizes he wouldn’t be happy going back. and he wouldn’t be happy as Ron again. He has what he came for#he knows who Reagan is and he sees her as a good person to leave the world to.#and he doesn’t need much more than that.#it’s probably bittersweet parting. Reagan probably asks him if he sleeps well at night (he does)#and they part ways#the other ending is where he and regan start dating again - he’s just a normal dude boyfriend but#I don’t think that fits his arc#look. look. I just want a little more Ron content: Please.#that’s it the end#inside job#inside job netflix#my post#reagan ridley#ron staedtler

Somewhere Sunrise (Begins Another Day)
Chapter 1: Unfortunate Mishaps
Summary: Reagan Ridley tries to be prepared for situations, but the job always manages to surprise her.
Especially when she's thrust into another universe, and stuck figuring out how to get back.
Fandoms: Undertale (2015), Inside Job (2021 Cartoon)
Notes: (thank you to my good friends @pastelkonpeito and @maddestmewmew for beta reading this chapter!! also another thank you to hen again for helping me improve the pacing !) Also this takes place briefly after part 2 of the show, and after the true pacifist ending of Undertale.
WARNINGS: blood mention, possibly death, also swearing
~~~
If you knew anything about Cognito’s head robotics scientist, it’s that she’s been on this job for over a decade.
The job came with many problems and risks, be it near death experiences, dealing with cover-ups and disappearing accidental witnesses, or nearly losing an appendage or two.
But out of everything Reagan Ridley’s done and been through, she didn’t think she would spend her last moments like this.
The machine had taken months to finish, endless all-nighters spent programming, and connecting wires, and checking and rechecking the blueprints to make it perfect.
The companion watch took just a few weeks to properly sync to the shiny, new transporter…
And it malfunctioned. And it took her with it.
~~~
It was a decently quiet night in the building, and the cool wind from outside somehow seeped its way through from the windows to the quite sizable space of Ridley Labs, though it never affected Reagan, as she was used to the drafty windows. Never got the damn things fixed.
Her best friend and co-team leader Brett Hand shivered, though, used to the rest of the building being room temperature.
As Reagan installed the last few panels onto the transporter core, Brett took a minute to look around the lab again.
It was in its usual state, messy but somehow organized enough. Fitting for her, isn’t it?
“Alright, we’re almost ready.” She lifted the welding mask and switched off the propane torch, turning to him. “Brett, do you have the watch?” “Oh- yeah.” He handed her the device. “So… what does this do again?” “Were you even listening the first time?” She muttered, and waved her hand dismissively. “Well, the old teleporter was broken and out of date, so I took the liberty of building a new one. This one syncs to a watch- the one I’m holding here- to take the wearer to and from their destination. The machine serves to make sure that the watch works as intended, and to actually choose your destination.” She patted the machine, and put the wristwatch on, adjusting it.
“You’re here in case something happens to me.” She pointed to Brett, and walked back over, putting her hands on his shoulders. “...If I’m gonna be honest, you’re the only person in this place that I’d trust if anything happened to me.”
“Awww… Reags!” He smiled bright, pulling her into a tight hug. “Me too.”
“Put me down, you goober, or we won’t be able to start the experiment!” She laughed out and smacked at his arm.
He placed her back down and she turned to activate the machine and the watch. “Alright. I’ll start with a decent location… somewhere just outside of DC.” She pressed a few buttons on the machine.
“But… what if you can’t get back? You might have to walk for a while…” Brett commented. He widened his eyes. “OR! I could come and pick you up!” She snapped her fingers. “Exactly.” She presses a button on the watch.
“Alright.”
The transporter vrrrr’d to life, and its sounds echoed across the lab in a pleasant symphony of machinery.
“It’s working!!” Reagan couldn’t hide her excitement, her eyes lighting up as a smirk appeared on her face. “Brett, it’s working!”
Brett squealed in corresponding exhilaration as the watch lit up in unison.
The excitement of the pair was short-lived, as the wristwatch elicited short shocks.
“Shit.” Reagan struggled to get the watch off, as she felt the teleportation tech do its magic. “I can’t- shit, fuck, it’s stuck! I can’t get it-”
And she disappeared in a flash.
Brett’s phone buzzed, and the call was from…
…Reagan. He sighed in relief and clicked to accept the call, only to see a screen of white.
“Reagan????”
Reagan comes on screen, hair whipping in the wind (wind????????).
"Brett! Are y-ou getting this tr-ansmi-ssion!?" The audio and video were cutting out, but Brett nodded.
"List-en to me! I d-on't know wh-er-e I am, but no m-atter WHAT, you have -to keep the m-achine running! I seem to- to h-ave gone to a- different area than intended-”
She pushed her hair out of her face and looked around, squinting in the foggy winter wonderland- if she remembered correctly… it was supposed to be… September.
Oh god.
“I-I.. I-’m th-ink in a di-ffere-nt uni-v-erse! And it's hailing b-" A piece of hail flew down and nailed the scientist right in the temple, causing her to fall over into the snow.
"Reagan? REAGAN!?" Brett brought the screen closer.
"Aw- SH-IT, I... there's sn-ow getting into the wa-tch a-nd I-" Reagan's eyes drooped slightly, and they both noticed blood dripping down her face from the deep cut, now very prominent on the side of her head.
“Shit- Th-this is go-ing a lot w-or-se th-an I th-oug-ht it wo-uld! If I c-an get th-e wat-ch to-”
…She couldn’t…
Reagan felt herself getting weaker. There was blood dripping down into the snow now.
The situation was getting worse. The situation was unsolvable.
"...Brett... if I don't su-rvive this... I j- just want you to know that I'm sorry... for ev-eryth-ing. You w-ere a... a good fr-iend." Reagan felt herself getting more lightheaded, and the watch glitched and crackled as the weather worsened the condition.
"Reagan, why are you apologizing..? Hey- no- listen, you'll come back, you'll be okay, I promise- REAGAN?" Brett teared up and clasped his hands worriedly. The transmission was almost lost.
"...G-oodbye, Br-ett." The screen cut out as white overtook the transmission video, and the small screen finally displayed "SIGNAL LOST".
"Reagan? REAGAN!" Brett called out, but no one answered.
He felt his stomach twist.
…She…
He failed to keep himself stable on the edge of the desk, starting to slide down and sit on the floor.
His heart caught in his throat as he choked up, tears falling, the lab now dreadfully silent.
~~~
“Oh goodness…. Frisk! Get the first aid kit!”
Part 2 of Traitor Brett
Yeah. This might be a series now. Heads up, lots of emotional damage!
—-
Glenn had found her while trying to find something. By some miracle, her body manages to stay alive until someone came. The medics had brought her into the infirmary and treated her injuries the best they could. Her side was stitched and bandaged along with a fractured hand that would heal.
However, the numb feelings of her legs were permanent.
“Sorry Reagan . But when you slammed into the wall, your spinal cord got damaged. We can’t fix that unfortunately”
She was bound to a wheelchair for her whole life now. The team had asked what happened and where Brett was. But she couldn’t answer.
What made things worse? Her dad was the CEO now. She was released just as the Robes wanted to talk. Bringing the model Cognito to the office, she expected a promotion. However, the Robes stated she wasn’t fit. Especially now that she is disable. She saw her dad’s face through the Hologram and her heart dropped. His eyes widened at the state she was in. Before he could say anything, she wheeled herself as fast as she could.
Now here she was in her lab, staring at the bloody hole in the wall. She didn’t want anyone to see the emotional state she was in. The discovery of Orrin, her dad being CEO after just kicking him out.. Brett’s Betrayal.. that was replaying in her mind.
The door opened and Reagan didn’t bother turning around. She felt a hand on her shoulder and flinched, slapping it away.
“Reagan.. girl. ” Gigi said sadly. “Let’s get you out of here. The construction team will fix that up. Alright?“ No response. Gigi grabs the handles of her whrelchair and begins moving.
“How about we get some coffee and talk ? I know I’m not usually the comfort person but Brett-“
“Stop” Reagan mumbled. "Don't.. say anything about that fucking bastard."
That surprised Gigi. Usually Reagan would only say good things about Brett. But cursing and refusing to say anything about him.. something must have happened.
They sat at a table at Cognito's cage. and Gigi ordered them coffee. It was an awkward silence between the two as Reagan just stared at it.
"What happened last night?" Gigi started.
"I got attacked.. that's it.." Reagan replies numbly.
"How? There was no one in the building other than you and.. Wait.. Did Brett attack you?!"
A nod as a respond. Reagan's hands grip her chair as a wave of emotions hit her.  She wasn't going to cry. Not again
"Why did he attack you?" Gigi was shocked. Brett of all people to hurt someone? His best friend?
"Brett.. was.. -he was sent by.. the Illuminati to steal my blueprints and robot .. why it took him months and..why.. he tried..befriending us.. I have no idea.." Reagan explained. A tear escape but she wiped it quickly.
"He shot.. me into the wall.. and I couldn't move.. God.. I yelled at him and.. he was saying how the.. Illuminati was his.. family.. what did we mean to him..?" She covered her face as more tears ran down her face.
"Maybe I should have…done something.. I.. could.. hugged him..or like.. talk to him. Anything.. Fuck.. I don’t.. care about the stupid blueprints.. I just want.. him back. I want., my stupid.. lovable Brett back.”
She was crying now. She could feel the stares but she couldn’t care. She was heartbroken and terrified. This was the worst day of her life. Arms wrap around her as she sobs.
“That son a bitch..” Gigi mumbled. “If I see Brett, I’ll beat his ass..” All Gigi could think about was how she was going to leak anything that would ruin Brett.
But right now.. she has to help the depressed scientist. She’s seen many tragedies on every social media and whatever they leave the person alone. They spiral deeper and deeper until they can’t take it and do something terrible.
“Let’s get you some food, alright? I’m sure you haven’t eaten much these past days.”
Reagan shakes her head, making Gigi sigh. This was going to be hard
Could you do a Reagan with a reader who can just do about anything she does if not more with seemingly little to no effort? Like you’re even able to get a full eight hours sleep. This going from her despising them to her eventually getting with them.
absolutely i can!! thanks for the ask <33
below the cut to conserve space, this is sfw :)
When JR introduces you to the team, Reagan is little more than suspicious of you. When you start talking to the rest of the gang, her friends, and get on everyone's good side with ease, she gets a little irritated. However, the situation reminds her of the way she and Brett started off, so she gives you the benefit of the doubt. When she realizes that the size of the office/lab you've been given is slightly larger than hers, she changes her mind. She had to work hard and fight sleep throughout the nights for years to get where she was, and you just waltz in and get one of the biggest offices that Cognito has to offer? That's incredibly suspicious to her, and she does not approve. She's going to have to do some research on you.
She does, and is horrified to find that you are, for lack of a better word, perfect. Yeah, you graduated high school at 16, not quite as good as her, but you were popular; she could see it in the many club photos you were in within your high school's yearbook. You had a doctorate's like she did, but you seemed to coast through college with ease, unlike her. You were fit and had a healthy work-social life balance, which was clear from all the things you posted on your Instagram. Your resume was more than impressive, and you'd had the opportunity to travel and do volunteer work after college, something even Reagan had never dreamt of doing; Rand had always put so much pressure on her to keep working and be the best, so she'd never had time for that kind of thing. Your intelligence clearly rivalled hers, but it seemed to her that smarts were just about the only thing the two of you were neck and neck at. You were socially adept, had incredible time management skills, you had tons of smiling pictures of you with friends and a happy family or in foreign countries, and you'd landed a job within the shadow government. How was she meant to compete?
Reagan felt pathetic when she compared herself to you. All those years of sleepless nights and hard work seemed worthless when she saw how easily you had gotten just as far, even farther than her. She became even broodier than she normally was at work and began avoiding you, becoming disheartened when she saw that her friends were so occupied laughing and talking with you to notice her mood. She wanted nothing to do with you, and she just wished you'd never showed up at Cognito.
What she didn't know was that you had noticed her absence fairly quickly. You wondered if you had done something wrong, but the gang reassured you, saying that she would warm up to you eventually; after all, she'd acted the exact same way when Brett first got hired, and they were the best of friends now. That was the only reason none of them were concerned, mind you; they cared for her, they just knew that she could be petulant when she felt threatened, and chose to give her space for the time being. You felt upset thinking that you might be making Reagan uncomfortable though, so you leave her a voicemail asking her if she could come to your office to discuss some things, hoping you can resolve the matter.
Reagan might not have wanted to see you, but she also didn't want to look like a coward or like she was stuck-up, and she always took work matters seriously, so you found her waiting for you in your office the same day that you left the message. When you sat her down to talk, you noticed that she completely avoided eye-contact, looking like a pouting child as she glared at the carpet. You ask sheepishly if she'd like a mint or something to drink, hoping to make her feel more at ease, but she ignores your question and asks if you actually needed something.
"Um, well, yes," you say, laughing anxiously. You'd become very good at dealing with people and their emotions, but the intense distrust and depression you felt radiating off of Reagan, along with her razor-sharp glare, had managed to intimidate even you. "I wanted to ask if... if everything was all right."
Her brows pinched tighter together as her frown deepened. "What do you mean?"
"Well, I mean... You haven't spoken to me since the day JR introduced us, and I feel that you're avoiding me," you explain, drumming your fingers on your desk. "If there's some issue that you have with me, I'll do what I can to fix it. Er, provided that it's within reason."
You saw her eye twitch, and took careful note of her body language as she shifted uncomfortably and began tapping her foot on the ground. "Nothing is wrong," she stated bluntly. "May I go back to my office now?"
You're slightly hurt at that, your features becoming more sullen. "I don't want you to feel trapped here. You're free to leave whenever you want," you assured her. "I just... If there's something I can do to make things better, let me know. I just want to help."
Reagan's face softens a bit. She glances up at you, her eyes meeting yours briefly, before they dart straight back down to the floor. She looks more guilty than angry now. "It's not that you did anything," she finally huffs, her leg now bouncing in her anxiety. "It's more that you are something."
You knit your brows in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
Reagan seems to debate herself internally for a moment, thinking on whether she should tell you. Eventually she sighs in defeat, slumping down in her chair in shame. "It's like you don't have any weaknesses," she started, tilting her head as she spoke. "You're smart, funny, healthy, worldly, attractive, the list goes on. Cognito, my position, that's all I've got. I've got friends, yeah, but look at how they flocked to you when you first got here. I didn't get any appreciation from them until we'd been working together for about a year... JR literally had to hire someone else to be the 'charm' while I do stuff in the background, that's how unlikable I am!"
"Reagan, you're not unlikable at all," you said incredulously, your eyes wide as you stood to move to the other side of your desk. "You're so successful, and you worked hard to get where you are. Cognito doesn't take in just anyone, they take in people who have something they want. Your brain is probably bigger than 90% of Cognito combined! Part of the reason I accepted this job was because I'd heard that the Reagan Ridley was at the forefront of the organization. I wanted to work with you. You're one of the smartest people in the world, and that's hardly gonna go unnoticed."
Reagan's dark eyes had gone wide at your proclamation. "You... You came here because you wanted to work with me?"
You felt your face go a little red as her gaze bore into you. "Well, I-- I mean, partly," you affirmed. "You're kind of a legend in the tech field, you know."
Reagan's cheeks begin to warm as well, several emotions running through her. She felt pride and happiness that it turned out you actually seemed to look up to her, shyness at the thought of being anybody's role model, but mostly shame that she had thought so harshly of you. You had never tried to take her place or one-up her, yet she had expected the worst from you; you had been nothing but kind to her since she came into your office that day, and she had been ugly to you.
"I'm... I'm sorry," she mumbled, looking at your shoes so that she wouldn't have to meet your eyes. "For not giving you a chance, I mean."
Your heart already feels a little lighter as you feel the tense atmosphere in the room begin to dissipate. "You don't have to be sorry, Reagan," you reply, a soft smile gracing your features. "I'm just glad that you were honest with me. Would you maybe like to start over? I'd love to get to know you better."
Reagan returns your kind smile, and offers you a hand to shake, which you happily accept. "Yeah, that sounds good."
After that, things between you and Reagan are much smoother. She returns to her normal grumpy self, and enjoys spending time with you and the gang. You find yourself really coming to like her presence, and you make an effort to get to know her better. She's had it rough, that much is clear, but she's a good person under her cold exterior, and she's fun to be around too. She even invites you to her lab sometimes to help her with what she's working on, since you're also a tech expert. Your encouragement and input boost her morale and efficiency much more than being pressured or bossed around by Rand, and you find yourself learning new ways to utilize your resources and solve problems by watching Reagan work, a mutually beneficial relationship.
You and Reagan start hanging out outside of work when you offer to help her get into working out. She's reluctant, but her unhealthy lifestyle ultimately affects her work, and she knows it's what's best. She's terrible at it, slumping over less than five minutes into your jog, but you push her to keep up and do well, reminding her that as soon as the workout is over you'll treat her to lunch. You manage to get her to go a mile; it's not much, but it's a fantastic start. She's super tired and sore after as she isn't used to working out, but you can tell already that she's feeling a little more pumped up; exercising releases a lot of endorphins, after all.
You take her back to your apartment and make her something filling and healthy, like a grilled chicken sandwich and some baked potato chips, and watch with pride as she demolishes her plate. She looks so happy, sitting on your couch with a full belly and relaxed posture as she flips through TV stations. As she begins talking absentmindedly to you, you take in her appearance: skin glistening slightly with hard-earned sweat, hair in a haphazard messy pony-tail, her smile bright with pride, eyes alight with energy. It's then that you realize how beautiful she really is. You've been bringing out the best in her lately, and she's been teaching you and keeping your interest without even trying. You look forward to seeing her every day, and take great pride in making her laugh. You like her.
The two of you continue to challenge and better each other, and before long you find yourself asking Reagan on a date. She's shy and awkward about it, but you can tell she's excited when she says yes. You help her learn to balance her work and her outside life, and she helps you to gain a better understanding of the world around you when you look at things through her eyes. You get her to go out more and socialize with the gang outside of work, and she keeps you down to earth and happy. She needed someone who could show her that she's more than just her brains, and you needed someone you could depend on as a constant while you were working and growing and changing.
You eventually move her into your apartment, ensuring that she no longer has to deal with Rand, and you make sure that you both have all the space you need to be your own people while still living together. You cook her meals for her most days, but she's been cooking with you lately, trying to learn to take better care of herself (she mostly ate out or had cereal or something microwavable when living with Rand or by herself). You split the chores around the house, not wanting either one of you to become the sole caretaker of the apartment, and go on runs together most days before work. You make sure Reagan doesn't get too absorbed in her work, and the bags under her eyes from stress and lack of sleep slowly start to fade.
She's finally learning to relax and take care of her needs before the needs of others, and because of that she's happier than she's been in her whole life. Even as a kid she never got much downtime or had the chance to pick up hobbies; Rand made sure of that. While she's living with you she might start trying out the things you're into just to find a hobby that fits her. Whether you're into tennis or video games, art or bowling, she's happy to try new things if she's with you. You might even get a pet together, probably a cat or a small rescue dog, or both! The cat will be closest to Reagan; it'll love to curl up on her lap while she's watching TV or sit on the counter while the two of you are cooking. The dog will love you both equally, and you'll take it on your runs most days. You've become a little family, and you're all that either one of you needs.
sorry to end this so abruptly, but it's 1:20am rn and i've gotta get bloodwork done later. i apologize to you and to anyone else who's been in my ask box for the last few days, i just got back from a trip out of state visiting family. i'll be back to posting more now that i'm home hopefully :) i hope this was okay <3
rand and the people around him
cw: mentions of man1pulation!!
an insight/analysis (?) on the dynamic between rand and the people around him. the people he "loves"
okay so ive been WANTING to discuss this for quite some time. but then my tumblr got CANNED??? and so i moved hehe. but whatevs ANYWAY. remember in the finale, when rand said “bravo, reagan! the way you man1pulated that bear into thinking you give a shit about your coworkers” THEN IT CLICKED. of course he’d say that because that’s obviously what rand does.
rand and reagan
he’s spent years ‘building’ his relationship with reagan, hopefully earning her trust, so she’d be compliant and not go looking for trouble.
it’s evident in the brainwashing scene that he doesn’t exactly CARE abt reagan, he just needed her for his own benefit.
she wasn’t his daughter, but merely his "little insurance policy”
before brett came into her life, before she got along with the team, reagan ran to rand when talking her issues
even bear-o can tell how little to no shit rand ACTUALLY gives about his own daughter
“but hark, what about ep 8 where he desperately wanted to prove that reagan was his daughter?” BC IF SHE WASNT HIS DAUGHTER, BYE-BYE COGNITO INC
in conclusion for this section, we can safely assume rand is a sick and heartless bastard who used his daughter’s vulnerability as a tool to gain power
rand and tamiko
i think this is an interesting dive, especially considering how OBSESSED rand is with tamiko (e.g. he still calls her his “wife”)
something about their marriage seemed off from the beginning. from jr’s picture, we can assume that their relationship was never the healthiest. with her constantly being dismissive towards both him AND reagan
BUT LET’S GET BACK TO RAND BC THIS IS ABT HIM
“family is like an experiment” finishing the show put THIS particular quote in a completely different light
he definitely meant that LITERALLY. this isn’t love. he never loved tamiko, and i stand by that
rand is someone who builds nonstop. he builds machines. he built his own company. so why not build a family?
THAT’S WHAT I MEAN, like he treats his family like an invention that he can use and control
he ABSOLUTELY HATES IT when tamiko is succeeding in life (e.g her book, her wedding, etc) because he probably spent most of their marriage thinking she needed him
rand and jr
OOOOH BOY WHERE DO I BEGIN *rubs hands mischiveously*
I ACTUALLY ALREADY HAVE A POST ON THIS
but basically i think that the entirety of their relationship/partnership, rand has ALWAYS had the upper hand
the way jr seems so threatened by sober rand??? despite being so confident he can outsmart him–
jr doesnt care abt rand bc most of the time he's dr.unk out of his mind
but when he's sober??? EVERYTHING FLIPS 180 AND IT'S LIKE WOAH
jr is aware of how man1pulative rand is, shown in his change of attitude when finding out he's sober
i think if we were to get a flashback, we can finally catch a glimpse of the power imbalance in their relationship
and maybe some angst bc i rlly need that
i truly believe that rand did man1pulate jr in some way,, which is why he's so corrupt now compared to when he was younger
when he "had more hair and values"
in conclusion, i think he effed everyone up HARDCORE. like that guy is EVIL, you cannot fight me on that. we've seen enough of his assface to know that's for sure
I got a request: “A Reagan x Reader. The reader was once a past romance of her but moved away. They get forcefully hired into Incognito Inc as meeting Brett he accidentally reveals about its existence.”
Oh man this one is gonna be sad.
tw for violence, blood and manipulation
So we all know how Rand made that antiboy perfume,, well it didn’t really worked on you
You two fell in love- teen romance yknow,, knight. You two did silly things that kids in love do. (I never fucking dated anyone so idk what kids in love do sorry not sorry)
Overall it was pretty innocent
Well,, when Rand found out about this,, you were lucky you were still alive.
He really went out and beat the shit out of a 14yo kid-
“Listen here you little asshole,, I’m not letting some shithead take my daughter’s future away just cuz you wanna get some pussy. You are gonna move away and never, EVER see or contact her again,,, am I crystal clear here?!” He was holding you against the wall, your whole body was in unimaginable pain. In pure panic and fear you just nodded. It was more of the begging for dear life
You didn’t wanted to move away- you had so many memories in this city, but after Rand started assaulting your family you knew it was better to give up.
You moved few weeks after The Who incident happened, leaving your beloved Reagan behind
When Reagan got the news, god she was so sad- she just sobbed into moms chest for few hours- and still cried for few nights.
She didn’t care what the others said, she really did love you and this absolutely destroyed her-
She never really moved on, she kept your pictures and everything you ever got her to her adulthood. Sometimes she thought of with tears in her eyes.
And well,, you never moved on as well,, she was always somewhere in your mind
You were living your life like a very other normal person. You gratulated high school and collage and had a boring until one day some dudes threw a bag over your head and the last thing you know, you were lying on a cold floor in random building.
“That’s enough fellas, they had enough-“ said masculine voice
The figure took the bag off and you were blinded by the sudden light.
“Oh eh sorry, I should have done it slower. Well welcome Reader to the Cognito Inc!! My name is Brett!”
“Wha- What is happening,, god f-fuck my head-“
“I will explain everything later, now let me get some water-“
After you felt bit better Brett actually took you to look around,, so many strange people and not just people
“Ok well,, that’s cool and all but like why am I here?”
“Oh yeah well, you were chose to work for the Media Manipulation team!”
“Wait did I apply to this job?”
“Nah not really, sometimes we have to chose random strangers since we don’t have much applications” the man giggled. What the actual fuck? Are they just gonna kidnap you force you to work for them. That’s some bullshit
You two continued walking though the building as you passed a lab with the sigh that said “Reagan Ridley”
No fucking way
“Hey Brett,, does Reagan Ridley work here?”
“Yeah why? You know each other?”
“Yeah kind of…”
“Well I think she will be in her lab so you can try-“ you didn’t even let him finish the sentence- you just ran into her lab looking for her.
She was doing her paper work at her desk as she turned to face you.
“Who the fuckkkk-“ the moment she spot you she instantly knew. You could see the tears-
“It can’t be- I thought y-you were dead!” She sobbed out, running your direction.
