Panel one shows Kakashi's hands carefully finishing tying off the wrappings over Tenzō's injury. In a speech balloon that crosses into panel two, Kakashi says, "That's all you can say, huh?" His expression is pinched, almost frustrated. Panel three shows us only Tenzō from the shoulder up, leaning forward, still in a defensive posture. Behind him, the edge of his mask peeks out where it rests on Kakashi's bed. "What happened on this mission to fuck you up this bad?" Kakashi asks. Tenzō exhales a tiny breath.

Behind that third panel, blue static-like texture is rising up and around, filling the gutters around the panel and getting denser as one's eyes move down the page. In this blue expanse, there's first a smaller Tenzō, still with some of the red colors from the majority of the comic, but underlit with blues and greens. His hair is rising, as if raised by a soft wind, or underwater. "I don't know," Tenzō says. Then, there's a larger figure of Tenzō, this time completely absent of red, only rendered in blues and browns and greens. His hair is entirely floating, clearly suspended as if in water, and for the first time in the entire comic his face is fully raised, and he stares almost past the viewer, face blank, eyes wide. "Nothing," he asserts, in a heavy speech balloon with thick borders. "Nothing happened."

I was watching this review of Idolish7 and the reviewer's closing comments got to me because, yeah. Idolish7 tells you that it's fine if your interest or love for something like music or media doesn't last forever while acknowledging also how sad that can be. But it tells you that you're allowed to be obsessed with a show or a song for a short period and you're not inconstant or evil or disloyal for it, nor that your love for it was fake because it didn't last in intensity as it started.

I don't know but I'm a big fan of the way i7 tackles topics about change and goodbyes (especially after pt 4 to 6.9), both on the audience's side and on the artist's side.

I’m still in awe about the scene where the asl brothers were shouting out their dreams and how every time I rewatched this scene I always questioned just why they cut out the part where luffy says his because it’s not exactly a secret. He’s been shouting out that he wanted to be the pirate king since the very beginning of the series, it’s literally his catchphrase!!

For 12 years I questioned that scene! But never once did it cross my mind that it was done because luffy actually has a different dream, and becoming the pirate king was only an ends to a mean to reach it and I was SO blown away to learn this almost 400+ chapters later when this was first HINTED at, never mind that it took 1000+ chapters to even learn he has a dream that isn’t becoming the pirate king (and we still don’t know what it is!!)

Do you wonder if Sakura ever cried herself to sleep thinking that Naruto and Sasuke could died while they were away and she'd never see their faces again? Their eyes Never hear their voices?

Did Shizune ever tell her how Dan and Nawaki died? Did Sakura have nightmares were Naruto and Sasuke would died the same? Where she would arrive, limbs trembling, to see Naruto's face covered by a blanket? Where she would find Sasuke too late and he'd die with her hands deep inside his chest, trying to stop the bleeding?

Do you think she ever told Naruto how it felt to have him practically dead on her arms? Did she ever cried narrating how she kept him alive? How his heart on her hand felt? How she only managed to do it because every minute of her training with Tsunade was for it? For them? To save them?

Does she look at them sometimes and wonder what if she didn't have enough chakra to help Obito bring Sasuke back? What if she had failed to summon Katsuyu? What if she had arrived too late and they'd die of blood lost from losing an arm? What if she had been stronger? Faster? Smarter?

Do you think they know how much she wishes to be enough for them? To heal their hurt?

I really wish yamato had gone with luffy and I love that he asked to be considered a crewmate anyway and that luffy told him he'd always have a place on the sunny so I a hundred percent consider him a mugiwara but in my ideal one piece where the war ended differently and ace is still alive yamato is his. like obviously ace is dead and he hadn't been a captain for a while before then anyway, but in my ideal one piece yamato belongs to him. he's a spades. he's ace's crewmate first and foremost.
