✨️ The Philverse Lore Masterpost ✨️

So I planned on making this a while ago and forgot but now I'm doing it.

And the formatting of this post MAY change in the future (like me providing other reference links and such for each Phil), but for now I'm gonna keep it simple.

This post is an explanation of how the Philza Cinematic Universe(tm) works, along with some widely accepted fanon things. It will update as cc!Phil changes things or canonizes new ones.

"Main" rp!Phil

"Main" Phil is Hardcore (hc) Phil, SMP Earth (smpe) Phil, DSMP (c) Phil, and QSMP (q) Phil. This is also the Phil that The Beginning by MaepleTea features.

It's important to note here that rp!Phil is canonically immortal (this is probably true for ALL rp!Phils, not just "main" Phil, cc!Phil has said things along these lines on multiple occasions in the past).

cc!Phil has described rp!Phil has hundreds of years old, though we have no idea how many centuries he's been alive. What we've seen is more or less just the last decade of his life, unless cc!Phil chooses to construct a timeline that says otherwise.

The timeline goes something like this:

HCS2 -> SMPE -> HCS4 -> DSMP -> QSMP -> ???

Obviously it's not linear like that, HCS4 is simultaneously going on during SMPE, DSMP & QSMP. In roleplay, the canon explanation is that hc!Phil can travel to other universes through what is basically dreamwalking. This gets explicitly confirmed in QSMP lore.

In other words, the Hardcore World is rp!Phil's universe of origin. Canonically (as confirmed by Phil in the S4 World Tour video) all seasons of Hardcore are one universe, which resets itself each time rp!Phil dies. After each reset, rp!Phil retains his memories of the previous iteration and starts over again, but with new knowledge to avoid dying again.

A better way to visualize this timeline would be to refer to IRL dates, like this (click for better quality):

Note: I didn't include HCS3 because it lasted like two weeks. Consider it a blip in rp!Phil's long immortal lifespan, if anything. I also didn't include HCS1 because Phil basically never refers to it other than the way that it ended. Considering there wasn't really any lore about hc!Phil being a historian/explorer prior to HCS4 anyway, this is basically fine to assume.

All of the above being the same guy is canonically confirmed, either explicitly stated BY cc!Phil himself, or with undeniable implications within roleplay.

SMP Earth is the only one of these that gets a little iffy to call confirmed because it's never been explicitly stated and technically SMPE wasn't a roleplay server, BUT: Considering the references and parallels c!Emduo make when they move to the tundra to get away from the rest of the DSMP, it becomes pretty obvious it can be considered canon. There are also multiple occasions where c!Emduo refer to what they did during the Antarctic Empire times. Furthermore, and I'll reiterate this in a moment: q!Phil tells stories to Chayanne & Lullah of things he and rp!Techno did during SMPE.

HCS2 (more specifically Phil's death) obviously gets referred to constantly in and out of roleplay, making it canon whether cc!Phil wants/considers it to be or not. This is one of few deaths we know rp!Phil has experienced, if not the only one. I imply there may be multiple deaths here because I don't remember if cc!Phil confirmed that rp!Phil died at the end of The Beginning before being saved by Goddess of Death or not. If so, that means rp!Phil has died at least twice: then, and in HCS2.

QSMP is actually the key universe to all of these other Phils being connected, since that is where cc!Phil chose to do lore to confirm all of these are the same guy. Prior to QSMP, we only knew SMPE and DSMP were connected thanks to c!Emduo.

QSMP confirmed that q!Phil is hc!Phil formally via the dreamwalking lore. Additionally, prior to this lore being dropped, again: there were multiple instances in which q!Phil told Chayanne & Lullah stories from his time on SMPE. Obviously, if SMPE is canon to both DSMP and QSMP, then those two are also connected by default. These stories were not the only reference to DSMP made during QSMP either. Multiple previous DSMP members also canonized DSMP and QSMP being connected.

And during all of this, rp!Phil is dreamwalking from the Hardcore World to these other worlds.

Origins SMP Phil (o!Phil)

This version of Phil is his own separate guy with a fully unique story from "main" Phil.

While "main" Phil is an immortal historian and explorer from Hardcore that can travel to other worlds via his dreams, o!Phil is an even more avian-coded guy trying his hardest to be a villain but failing at it miserably /aff.

As confirmed by cc!Phil: o!Phil comes from a dirt poor family who didn't want him to suffer the horrific reality of living in poverty, so his parents spoiled him rotten to the point of making themselves suffer. They later mysteriously disappeared (and are likely now dead). o!Phil's story in-rp (eventually) begins with him searching for them.

o!Phil has no idea he's not actually the entitled royalty he thinks he is. He eventually bonds with o!Sneeg, who chooses to be a "villain" with him, and they have a whole riveting, silly, weird ass codependent besties thing going on for the rest of Origin's multiple reboots. Their friendship in OSMP is what inspired 1/3 of the current theories for tr!Phil, who I'll get to momentarily.

o!Phil also canonically appeared in Rats SMP as a guest, as did o!Sneeg. They were searching for each other in the wake of OSMP "ending" (read: dying, again), and this intensified the fandom's interpretation that they're inseparable/codependent. This cameo also confirmed that both o!Phil and o!Sneeg can travel universes like "main" Phil.

Another important note: Some Crows consider cc!Phil's cameo in Aimsey SMP (ASMP) to be o!Phil because they share very similar attitudes and penchants for material goods, especially "shiny things."

Squidcraft Phil (sc!Phil)

The easiest rp!Phil to explain. cc!Phil himself said that sc!Phil is an alternate timeline version of "main" Phil, specifically q!Phil.

This is probably only due to the fact that Missa and several other QSMP members were in 2023's Squidcraft event, and cc!Phil couldn't resist being an angsty little shit with Missa throughout the event until his elimination.

The Realm SMP Phil (tr!Phil)

As of early 2025 when I'm making this post, we have no idea how tr!Phil fits into the Philverse. cc!Phil explicitly states he has no plans or intentions whatsoever to do lore on TRSMP, even if he does roleplay with other players like Sneeg or Fit. Assuming he doesn't change his mind on that, the following is ENTIRELY what the fandom headcanons/theorizes is true.

There are 3 main interpretations for tr!Phil's origin and I explain those in depth in this post here!

If or when we get more to go off of, I will update this section of the post. :)

Bonus Note(s)

MCC

The MCYT fandom widely headcanons MCC as a weird multiverse Hunger Games type thing where Noxcrew and Scott Smajor, whatever kind of higher power they may be, drag MCYTs across several universes into their little liminal space/pocket universe type place and have them to compete in the championship.

There have been references to MCC in SMPs during moments of varying degrees of roleplay were occurring. In rp!Phil's case, it's safe to consider "main" Phil is the one who gets put into MCC.

None of this, to my memory, is considered canon by cc!Phil, just silly popular fanon.

You know what. No. I'm making my own happy ending. No one's dead/dying. I think the Eggs, after a year of growing up and learning from their experiences on Quesadilla Island, decided they want to have their own life, see the world, and pursue their own adventures. Maybe some parents went with them, maybe some didn't and are waiting for the day they can be reunited with their families again.

This is a bit silly, but I like to imagine that the Capybaras are with the eggs to keep them safe on their journeys (like maybe Dansir is with Dapper and Pomme) and that now Leo is the Queen of the Mystical Capybaras, she's flying across the world with her Capybara royal court and checking up on her siblings.

Maybe Dapper and Pomme are continuing to adventure across the world and learn everything about magic and science! Maybe q!Bad with the help of Pomme's French parents finally got enough money to send them both to university XD

Maybe Pomme also becomes a world renowned best-selling author. Her novels are inspired by her experiences on the island, and her stories touch the hearts of so many people.

Maybe Richas is with them, continuing their Late Night Trio adventures. Or maybe he's exploring the world with his parents. Seeing all the sights and becoming a world famous artist too. People will flock from all over the world just to see his art >:D

Pepito will probably have his own Taco shop/restaurant. "Pepito's famous tacos" or something along those lines!

Same with Chayanne owning his very own restaurant and becoming this world famous chef and streamer Lullah, Phil, and Missa are of course, regular customers at the restaurant.

I like to imagine Lullah is exploring the world too- flying around and continuing to help people, especially with her music and stories!

Maybe Ramon is also in university now with Dapper- studying engineering and of course, learning from the best- his Pai Pac and Tio Mike! (Sidenote: q!Fit and q!Pac finally settled down to a peaceful life away from the chaos and lived happy ever after)

Sunny probably opened her own business with the help of q!Tubbo and the rest of her parents who she finally met. Maybe she started her own fashion line!

Empanada probably opened her own family bakery with her moms- making everyone's mornings and breakfasts just a little bit sweeter and brighter (and after years of waiting and slow burn pining q!Bagi and q!Tina also got their own happily ever after)

Even though Chunsik is still quite young, maybe he's also travelling across the world with his parents or some of his siblings. :D

Bobby, Juanaflippa, Trump, and Tilin are all watching over them wherever they are- guiding them and keeping them safe, along with q!Maxo and q!Jaiden.

And despite all of them living across the world, all the parents, tios, tias, and eggs all reunite at least once a year and share their stories and adventures!

Wherever they are, wherever they end up going, the love and the memories from Quesadilla Island are still there. And will always remain.

Absent in the spring.

paring: q!wilbur x fem!reader (+ platonic q!philza x fem!reader)

summary: a small vacation to Phil’s beach house causes you to finally break down.

authors note: a follow-up to this fic but you don’t really have to read it. some more q!wilbur angst for you guys because I miss wilbur and tullulah content! also i made it so chayanne and tallulah talk in this lets just pretend the eggs are the human-dragon hybrids that are in fanart bc thats how i see them!

warnings: a little angsty sorry, hurt-comfort, happy end, not 100% following qsmp lore, unedited! please ignore any mistakes!

“how are you holding up?”

Phil’s voice pulls you out of your trance from fidgeting with the blades of grass next to your tucked legs.

You bring your gaze up from the lush green and watch on as Chayanne and Tallulah play tag a few feet away in the field behind Phil’s beach house.

The past month had been weary as you waited for your husband to return from his tour. Days stretched on though you kept going despite that dread in your chest of missing him.

Phil had noticed you seemed less like yourself as the month went on. You were sleeping less, and getting stressed. When he came over to help you take care of Tallulah yesterday he saw how defeated you looked while trying to keep a brave face for your daughter.

Being in an empty house wasn’t fun for anyone, especially when it was too dangerous to go outside on the server alone. So, Phil invited you out to escape that empty feeling, just for a while at least. A walk and boat ride later, you were now sat beside the man with his legs crisscrossed while he munched on avocado toast.

You had shrugged plainly to his question. Fine? Okay? you didn’t know…

Squeals and giggles erupted in your ears as you watched Tallulah finally tag a breathless Chayanne, who had gotten tired of running away from his sister and let her have a turn at the one being chased. Her little legs barely kept up with her taller older sibling as he quickly regained energy.

You couldnt help the smile that was brought upon your lips. Happy they were having such a good time together, being normal for once and not sheltered from the horrors of the server that was trying to harm them every moment. They needed this time, to be care free. To be kids.

You and Phil chuckled at their antics. Though It made your heart break thinking about Wilbur being absent. He wasn’t here to hear the sounds of his daughter's sweet giggles as she played blissfully in the tall grass. To see how she was getting along with everyone, making sure they were happy and cared for.

Wilbur hadn’t sent you a letter in a week. You understood he was busy with tour, you didn’t expect him to have much time to sit and write but your worst agitations were coming true.

The disappointment was settling in each time you would go to the mailbox by the door- you and lullah had spent a day painting and decorating to your liking, with splotches of colors and your names painted across in not-so-straight letters- it would be empty with no sign of even being open since the previous morning.

“I miss him,” you say suddenly to Phil, whose gaze shifts away from the kids to you. You keep your eyes locked on them, fearing that meeting his eyes would make you finally break down into the tears you were holding back for so long.

Phil brings his hand onto your shoulder, a simple symbol of comfort.

“Awe mate, I miss him too.” he said warmly. “he’ll be back soon, im sure of it.”

Swallowing the lump building in your throat, you were so glad you had Phil there for you in these moments. Tallulah had done a good part cheering you up but sometimes you needed a real talk.

"I thought I could do this on my own but-" you choke. "I need him, Phil. He's missed so much and I can't help but think he's gonna feel guilty for not being there for her, or for me."

You let yourself break down in-front of your father in-law finally letting go of everything you’d been holding onto the past month and a half.

Phil placed his hand on your back in support as you sobbed into your hands. The aching pain in your forehead with the slight headache building, the chest pangs told you this cry was long over due.

A tap on your shoulder brings your head out from your knees. You lift your eyes to see Chayanne standing over you, his hand stretched out with a simple white flower pinching between his little fingers. His eyes held nothing but innocence as he looked down on you solemnly. He did not understand why you were so distraught, nor did he care, he just wanted to aid you in any way that he could.

"Please don't cry, Tia Y/N," his voice was small but sympathetic, making your heart sink.

Phil looked so proud in that moment, to see his son come over to aid you with comfort made him perceive he was doing something right in raising a child for once.

Taking the flower from Chayanne, he immediately crouched down to give you a tight hug around your shoulders. Surprised but grateful, you began silently crying as another pair of little arms joined the embrace - you knew it was Tallulah. Finally, you allowed yourself to let go and broke down into tears, feeling their tight embrace.

You were so glad you had these kids. Though they didn’t understand your behavior entirely there was no judgement, only care.

“For what it's worth Y/N, you have us and we will always take care of you both.”

Of course, you knew that. Phil had always been there for you since you first met him. He took his role as a father to everyone very seriously.

“thank you for bringing us here Phil, we really needed this.” you breathe as the kids pulled away from you. Phil gives you a smile of understanding.

A few hours passed as you all sat on the dock, watching the last glimmer of daylight fade away over the water - casting a golden glow. Phil suggested a campfire to roast marshmallows. Tallulah and Chayanne were already running off excitedly to gather various sticks to help. Once the fire was going, you all sat together on the sand telling stories, laughing, and enjoying each other's company.

The hole in your heart was healing, and the weight on your chest lifted. You realized that even though life was rough and unpredictable, having a supportive family was what mattered, and you felt content and at peace.

You saw the others smiling, knowing the shared bond was enough.

That night you all slept at the beach house, and for the first time in a month, neither you nor Tallulah had a nightmare.

The journey the following day back to Phil’s was thankfully uneventful. Mostly just shenanigans between the two children. Collecting things like leaves for the scrapbook you and Tallulah were making for Wilbur, documenting all your adventures. Chayanne running ahead to deal with any monsters who dare cross your path.

Upon seeing the tiny house with a fenced yard, you all went your separate ways. As you opened the gate to the yard, the tall purple trees and the various flowers made you miss the tiny home.

Tallulah seemed happy to be back and automatically tried dragging you to see her turtles before you could close the gate. You asked her to be patient while you brought your bags inside.

Walking up to the front door, you heard a crash from inside and you froze. You instantly reached for your sword laying on your hip. Tallulah saw this as a warning and she quickly cowered behind your legs. Preparing for the worst, it could be anyone behind the door. Charlie looking for food, (since he was living near your house in a shed last you heard.) Quackity looking to start another fight about parenting. Or worse the code monster could’ve shown up again to take Tallulah from you.

You would die before that would happen.

Tallulah clung to your legs as you quietly unlocked the door and pushed it open. You gazed down at her and saw her worried eyes.

“If something happens I need you to teleport to abuelito and Chayannes to warn them okay?” You spoke to her firmly in hushed tones, being careful. Tallulah showed you the tiny purple stone for a quick getaway and indicated she understood.

The house was exactly as you left it, except for the suitcase and guitar bag resting against the sofa, which made you frown. Then realization settled in and a gasp escapes you.

Was he here?

Or was this another trick?

As you lowered your sword, you heard someone rustling down the ladder. The wood creaked with every step as the person in the yellow sweater came into view. With round glasses leaning down his nose, fluffy hair, and long limbs, you’d know him anywhere.

Wilbur felt relief wash over him as he stopped midway on the ladder and saw you staring at him in disbelief. as if he were a ghost. It pained him slightly. You couldn’t believe it.

Wilbur was back.

Tallulah peeked out from behind your legs and the tiny gasp she let out when she saw Wilbur. She ran into his arms and cried out;

"Papa!"

Wilbur grinned as his tearful daughter ran towards him. He scooped her up in a tight embrace as you watched, tears streaming down your own cheeks. He held her swinging back and forth gently trying to hush her cries. She was so happy to finally see him again. You had never seen such a wonderful sight of the two people you loved the most in this world.

“I missed you so much Tallulah!”

Wilbur rested his head on Tallulah’s and smiled sideways at you and reached out his arm. Without hesitation, you dropped your sword, which clanked loudly on the ground, and you rushed into his embrace.

You bury your face in his neck, holding onto his scent, his body, his everything. Never wanting to forget how he felt and sounded. Tears stream down your face, drenching his sweater, but you don't care. This time, they flow out of love and happiness, not frustration or sadness.

You all cried and held onto each other for dear life.

“I missed you so, so much my love,” he coos in your ear causing you to choke out a laugh. After missing his voice for months you were so elated to hear it again.

Wilbur sniffled as he squeezed you both tightly in his arms, never wanting to let go.

“I’m here my girls, and I am never gonna leave you again,” he whispers.

This was home.

Okay, I'm obsessed with the lore.... So here's some of me theories/stuff I've noticed. It's gonna be rambling in it's worst, cuz I'm way too excited.

Firstly, let's welcome Madagio! I don't know what's up with him, but here's some info we know:

- he's from some island who is connected to Quesadilla through some system.

- he can travel through servers.

- cats are his eyes and ears.

So with this out of the way, here's some of my thoughts.

- Body language -

Honestly, it's not something important, but I really love how cc! Fit uses body language to convey his character. q! Fit doesn't sprint much, cuz he knows one misjudged step, one unnoticed trap and he's dead. He looks around, afraid of every lighting, every strange noise. He looks at cats cuz how are they even here, if not every person can survive here?

Madagio himself very reserved. He doesn't move much, showing us a difference between him and Fit.

- Roses -

Boy oh boy, do I have something to say. Despite obvious connections to Pac, recently there was another moment with exactly this kind of roses. At Philza's stream on 29th of December, at one point Ramon came to Titan and started to give away these rose bushes to some eggs and Phil. It might be a stretch, but it was very strange. Ramon explained that he gave away the roses, cuz he saw one in Chayanne's arm. But with this added context, I think Ramon's admin kinda hinted at this rule. Like the rose bush is a symbol of connection and love/trust. Fit loves and trusts Pac, Ramon, Chay and Lullah, and Phil too. I might be insane, but I adore this kind of symbolism. The roses show us who he has connections to. And now we understand what's at stake for Fit.

It's not only Ramon, who's in danger. Phil, his kids and Pac (probs Tubbo and Sunny too, but they didn't get roses) are also in the middle of crossfire. Madagio knew that it's in human nature for us to connect and getting attached to others even if told otherwise. Contractor knew that Fit won't be able to cheat or escape the deal, cuz he knew the veteran will have a lot at stake. He made this contract unavoidable. I love it sm.

- Music -

Since my post about Fit and his tragedy, I believe that a lot of decisions made about videos/lore streams are intentional. Like, back in a day, when we saw first dream, we heard "Étranger au Paradise" ("Stranger in Paradise "). And this song like fits Fit (pun not intended) like a friggin glove. Cuz even still, Fit feels like a stranger, undeserving this the heaven that is Quesadilla island. For example literally today he said smt along the lines of "What did I do to deserve a son like him[Ramon]?". He loves people around him, yet he can't show it, when everyone does it quite easily. I think Stranger in Paradise can be seen also in light of relationships. Like Fit considers Pac better, he loves him, but doesn't deserve his love. Agh

So why am I saying this? Well, you see. Cc! Fit uses a few songs to use before cinematic. And today he used "We'll meet again". And there's no connection, right? But what if it's a hint to contractor? Fit'll have to meet Madagio. Veteran has no idea when or where. But he knows they'll meet again some sunny day. Like, mb it's a stretch, but I really enjoy finding this connections. To this point cc! Fit was very intentional, so mb I have something here.

- Mon Dieu éternel, je te prie -

(sorry for probably butchering it, but anyway)

Well, now I have the most unimpressive and obvious theory, that leads to more interesting one.

During this stream it wasn't confirmed that contractor is a god, but there are a lot of hints. His name being an anagram to "I am a God" (Thank you, Tumblr user, who noticed it), he can't be hury, but is able to travel through the servers, and his first words to Fit are literally a rephrased "be not afraid", that is usually connected to angels.

Also his unusual connection to cats, that are his "extensions" Doesn't seem humain at all. Yet it isn't confirmed so idk.

Now, Black Concrete is closely tied to Cucurevil and can have bad effect on a person. The only people, who interacted with it and weren't affected at all, were Fit and Philza. Why? What if it's because they're protected by Gods? Like, fitza have a lot parallels in their lore, and mb it also hints at devine nature of Madagio? Rose protects Phil and his close ones out of kindness (I guess) and sends birds to cheer up her protège or show her support. Madagio literally does the same thing. But he sends cats not to show support, but to remind that he is always there, he sees and hears everything. Does it prove my theory? No, I guess. But it gives smt to think about.

At the end we see Fit waking up (smt that we've never seen before) and sees a cat. They look each other in the eyes and veteran convulsively shakes his head, refusing to something implied. Now, I'll be honest, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I didn't really understand what he refused to? Was he saying he didn't need contractor's help? Idk. And this whole montage of moon, cat, and Madagio is very interesting, but I can't put my finger on it.

After browsing for a literal second, I have some ideas. Moon typically represents the rhythm of time, as it symbolizes the cycle. So maybe Contractor reminds Fit how little time he has. Like, time's running out. Cats, though, have a lot of different meanings, but I guess the most important to this case are freedom and mystery. Madagio is free and mysterious, so ig it fits.

- And just my thoughts ig -

God, i loved it so much. Fit's lore is subtle yet very important and interesting. It shows a character and builds on it so much, while explaining the world itself. Guuugh I love it so much.

And here's just some screens that shows how much Fit has grown.

He is no longer doing everything for himself only. Now he cares for others, breaking a simple rule made by contractor.

Okay, being held a gunpoint so I need to post this /j

QSMP AUs (so far), it’s literally only 3 but like, I enjoy these ideas (Also if you see a pattern in these aus no u didn’t):

Enderdeal: au starts post-prison, Phil makes a deal with EK (who heavy manipulates him through his lack of protection from Rose and his lack of adequate ability to protect Chay and Lullah now that all his stuff is gone) in a desperate bid to keep his family safe. Part of the deal slowly corrupts Phil, giving him some ender-like traits, mostly the irratation at eye contact and moments of instinct mode disassociation, causing him to become more paternal towards the eggs (meaning man can and will kidnap the eggs back to his nest). Also includes: Morning crew (Fit, Pac, Tubbo, Cellbit, Bagi, Baghera, and Etolies) forming a “WTF is wrong with Phil” squad and trying to keep and eye on him without tipping him off that they know something’s up, a more active Missa actually finding out smth’s wrong with Phil, and the eggs attempting to find a way to contact Rose. (this was inspired by @isa-ghost AMFMN)

King!Phil: bad ending of the EK arc. Phil’s fully possessed by EK and attempts to overthrow the Feds. basically a better version of that one arc from that one cc we don’t talk about. This one wasn’t as fleshed out in my head, mostly I just drew evil Phil and went “yes, I’mma start a story in this” and never went much further than a fight scene w/ Fit, Etolies, Cellbit, and Baghera. And the idea of Missa, Chay, and Lullah being protected by the spirit of Techno.

Q-Osmp Au: Originally, this was inspired by @pepper-mintzyy osmp au writings. Basically, I’ve thrown Missa (phantom), Cellbit(cat), Roier(arachnid), Fit(human), Pac(starborn), Bagi(cat/vampire), Tina(unknown rn, just wanted to add lesbians), Jaiden(elytrian), Baghera(avian), Maximus(bear, this one was a suggestion), and Mariana(fallen angel???) into osmp. The idea has been: Roier, Cellbit, Missa, maybe Tina and Bagi, have no memory of qsmp, and just are travelers. Fit and Pac (with Ramon and maybe Richas, might throw him with Cellbit and Roier) have traveled from Qsmp to Osmp after corpse hole rescue. the rest have arrived via tubbtrain and cross-server portal. may or may not have their memories from qsmp, since the rest are recent additions.

And here are all my QSMP AUs! I have sketches for each, some are more recent than others. Honestly these have been rattling around my head but I haven’t had a ton of time to flesh them into a coherent story.

omgg, i saw a few posts about the glass child stuff but never really got too into it bc i felt like they were always missing something. i wasn't really sure what that was until i saw your post, where you mentioned lullahs abandonment issues, and everything just clicked. it just all makes sense now bc i know one of the biggest proponents to the "chays STILL a glass child" is qphils seemingly continuing to prioritize lullah over chay, when looking back at most of said moments it does feel more like a dad making sure the child who was abandoned doesnt feel like that ever again. i also feel like some of the issues come with qphils falling into habits, lullah hasn't really needed extra help in a while, but i don't feel as if that notion has fully into qphils mind yet. i would just love if both lullah and chay got one on one time with qphil bc i love them together, but i think each of them often times holds something back for the others' sake, y'know? lullah and bads and/or chay and tubbos recent solo hangouts kinda showcase the difference in dynamic. anyways, tl;dr you have amazing insight and an attention to detail that i, and i feel like a majority of others, missed out on, and i would love to see more character analysis/insights done by you, if you're interested of course!

yeah, tbh, I'm kinda surprised that part of Phil's reasoning was either not considered or even ignored. When he mentioned them "being alone," Tallulah's abandonment issues instantly came to mind; it's a huge part of her arc, y'know? So, yeah I can't see this as him accommodating Lullah's disabilities while disregarding Chay; rather, it was him thinking about her literal trauma. If it were switched (Chay had these issues, not Lullah), Phil would go for him in a heartbeat. Why people spun it as "he wasn't worried about Chay" is wild to me.

mhhm, that's about the crux of it. Yes, q!Phil has trained Tallulah in PVP , and neither he nor Chay recently hover over her during pvp, but when it comes to adjusting to how much his kids have changed, we're still getting there. And not just cuz of, like I said, being separated during Purgatory makes it hard for Phil to grasp what they went through. But bc he himself isn't quite in tune with his own emotions/trauma. It's a detriment to helping his children and growing as a parent, and is part of his own character growth that he is surely yet steadily going through.

And YES! I'd LOVE for the kids to have one-on-ones with Philza. They usually come in pairs, which y'know, is what makes a lot of these issues so difficult. The kids don't have time to be alone with their father, bc they're typically online with him at the same time. I crave that sole father/son bonding, not just bc they need it, but because I love their dynamic so much <3

tbh, i usually limit my character analysis to my main POV, sometimes others if I feel confident enough (i.e. Missa, Baghera). Last thing I wanna do is write analysis that does injustice to a character - any cc!phil fan knows this pain, both in this fandom and others lol! and also some characters I'm admittedly… kinda scared to talk about bc some fans get uber defensive if you talk about any of their negative traits; all fanbases have people like this, of course, crows are NO exception, but this one specifically just… I'd need to be prompted to discuss this character whom I won't specify haha. regardless, if you or anyone else ever wants to ask about my insights on qsmp characters, whether q!Phil or others, I'm more than willing to at least give it a try. thank you again! :)

Not sure if anyone's done something like this (I haven't seen one yet, but that's not saying much honestly-), but I had a pretty vague AU idea:

So we have q!Philza with the goddess Rose plus how he told Chayanne and Lullah to "follow the roses" whenever they're scared, and then we have the Rose Family that consists of q!Fit + q!Pac + their kids

Imagine Phil on the run from Ender King (maybe he's already left his own kids with Missa, maybe a storyline where he hasn't met them, maybe they're all running together) and while under the goddess Rose's protection, she leads him to Fit and Pac so that they can protect him also (maybe they have a connection to Rose, maybe she just knows they'll be able to help him in a way she can't so easily)

Yeah, I am pretty sure he thought of it as a light-hearted way to explain Sunny why Tallulah is moody. Doesn’t change the fact that it was a fucked up thing to say and genuinely hurtful for a literal toddler.

This and your point about people not being able to let go of the whole Dadza thing are two of my biggest problems with q!Phil. I know it's not cc!Phil's fault how people treat him but the way people overhype his parenting does make it more irritating as a viewer. It's not just fans, though, most characters seem to share this view of him as an amazing Dad. The fact that he stepped up for Tallulah when Wilbur left is great and the effort he puts in is great, but his parenting skills are just okay.

It feels like every time he talks to or about Sunny he ends up doing something bad that's brushed off because "that's just how Phil talks" or "he's just protecting his kids".

His reaction to Sunny's train was awful. I know he has a banter-y relationship with Tubbo but he was criticizing her father and her own choices right in front of her. It felt like he didn't even absorb any of what Tubbo was telling him. Like, why did he keep complaining about it feeling sterile when it was a brand new build and Sunny chose the white blocks themself?

The morality test about stealing the panda was completely unacceptable. Genuinely horrible thing to do to a child especially when he told her point blank at the end that it was a test that she managed to pass. Why would she trust someone who might be secretly testing her?

The talk in the museum was bad for both Sunny and Tallulah. Tallulah isn't "in a mood," she has genuine concerns but has still been making an effort with Sunny even while trying to maintain some distance. For Sunny he was playing up a very real insecurity to make a point. It's not really fair to Tubbo either, his game was having issues and he left his daughter with two of the people he trusts the most. I went to watch from the vod for slightly more context and chat reactions and Phil did not waste any time at all. The moment Tubbo was gone he rolled straight into it with Sunny.

There was also a point a few days ago where Tallulah showed some discomfort over Empanada and Phil responded with this:

Empanada’s nice, you like Empanada. You like Em. It’s Sunny you’re not a fan of. Sunny’s just all in your face with money and sunglasses and shit. But, like, Sunny’s fine too. Sunny’s just a bit much though. Sunny takes a while to get used to.

Sunny was not around for this but it's still a terrible way to talk about a child. They weren't even the egg Tallulah was concerned about at the time. And I do believe that q!Phil wasn't trying to be mean here but he still was. He is consistently unkind to Sunny even when he's trying to make a good point or a joking.

Wait, is the last thing a genuine quote? Because I haven’t heard this one before.

And yeah. Listen, Phil is a good parent. He takes care of Chayanne and Tallulah very well. He is a good parent, but it doesn’t mean that he is good that way for every other child ever. I think people forget that Dad figures in stories don’t mean that they are perfect in every adult-child relationship ever.

He is a great dad for Chay and Lullah. He is genuinely very condescending towards Sunny. It’s like every time they interact he just refuses to even try to see past his initial impression of them. Phil wrote her down for no reason as a shallow and tolerable at best kid in his books, and acts on that judgement in a way that he doesn’t care about her in any way past their basic safety and sometimes teaching them stuff if they need it immediately.

The only reason he pays Sunny any mind at all is that he cares for Tubbo. Also not in a parental way that people (and Tubbo lmao) seem to try and picture it as, but he cares. Sunny is just a tag along.

And don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that he should love her like his own or even really like her. It’s fine. I am saying that he still should treat her with the same grace as other kids that are not his – she is a child, you are speaking of and with a child, being mean about and to them is not okay. Especially because this child did literally nothing wrong.

Something about Chayanne telling q!Philza to protect Tallulah

Not because Chay is self sacrifice

This is him telling Phil directly at him that He is going to be okay and Phil needed to trust him and prioritize Lullah and Chay need Phil to trust him that he will also be alright

Chayanne loves his family his siblings and some may say he is a bit self-sacrifice I don’t think that this is the case

The conflict that Chay always have with Phil Is that Phil is worrisome ( and for good reason ) about his safety

Phil have been more relaxing with him when Tallulah said to him that

‘Phil needed to trusted Chayanne more’

And so he did but in his words that even if he trusted Chay he will always be worried about them

And This is the huge part that will make Philza have to trust his son

Not because that Chayanne need to sacrifice himself

Not because that Chay need to protect his siblings by giving his life

This is Chayanne needed Phil to trust him that they will meet each others again

And Phil will have to trust Chayanne’s word for it and go saved his sister his siblings, to prioritize the other that needed his help first

To place trust in each other

To understanding where each other comes from

And to believe in each other capability

People calling Chayanne a warrior and he is! but the important part about him being warriors

And all I feels like people forget the whole arc of him becoming little chef because Phil refuse to take him near any danger/dungeon for a long time!

qPhil even get called a ‘too strict father’ at that time because he simply doesn’t want his son to die! Because he doesn’t have much resources like other parents did!

And Phil did talk to his kid about this! He opening up to them telling him heart to heart of where he comes from

Why he cares so much about their safety! There a reason why Phil’s kid very well behave and always listen to his words but still being themselves and doesn’t afraid to express for who they are!

Chayanne and Philza is one of the parents and kid that have great relationship with each others

Chayanne is not one with many words and Phil said that he noticed this and he adjusted his parenting style to fit his son more

Giving his attention to how Chay mannerisms is, Knowing that Chay will express himself toward body language and act of service

Take a notes on how Phil never force Chayanne to speak about his feelings and Phil have been with Tallulah who expresses herself a lots by word

Yet Phil still knowing what Chayanne need and what he wanted to do and Phil been nothing but supportive to Chay too

My take is that

Chayanne asked Phil to trusted him and to protect others who needed Phil first.

As Their bound wouldn’t be broken that easily since they had always been there for each other

and now him and Phil needed each other support the most this time

And for why Chayanne doesn’t mentioned himself in the message for Phil because he doesn’t express himself through word! but there are one thing clear and that is him vocaling his want to Phil!

And He needed Phil to trust him and help him during the most crucial time

also, q!tubbo called phil his guardian within his first couple weeks on the server and then never again. since then he’s found a family of his own and it’s clear he doesn’t idolize phil to the extent he used to anymore. they still have an important relationship, he looks up to phil and is the godparent of phil’s kids (so obviously the admiration is reciprocated to some extent, phil doesn’t trust many people with chay and lullah’s safety). but it’s not familial the way his relationships with fit, pac, bagi, sunny, empanada, chayanne, and tallulah are.

Phil is important to Tubbo but he’s not as important as he was in the early days, their relationship developed, it was a one off statement that shed some light on how Tubbo viewed Phil but wasn’t supposed to be for the end of time. It was “Kinda of like my guardian” it’s not the end all be all for their relationship, both Tubbo and Phil spent time away and together, so it changed. Tubbo still looks up to Phil, and Phil still trusts Tubbo, it’s not that it’s not important, it’s just that sticking so harshly makes it out to be something it’s not. This is not even fanon to say all the people you listed could be considered family, it’s just how the developed sometimes people are friends sometimes their family, Tubbo’s “Like a sister” about Bagi is the exact same thing “Like a guardian”, it contextualizes what the relationship is currently at but it doesn’t define their relationship for the rest of time.

Here's a WIP of my notes on how to characterize tr!Phil. :) I can elaborate on any points if need be! Eventually this will be turned into a full-on analysis post that elaborates anyway.

Obviously I'm gonna update this list every time a) something that's already been established comes back to mind (not much considering man's is all log) and b) as Phil plays on The Realm more.

REMINDER: ccPhil is NOT doing lore on The Realm. This post is for people who want to make fan content for him like fics or headcanons. And for help including him accurately in other people's lore, like Sneeg's. And here is a helpful post elaborating on ccPhil's SMP roleplay/lore making process.

Additionally, to at least MENTION the fan theories/headcanons about tr!Phil in reference to the Philza Cinematic Universe(tm) since it'll probably have a huge influence on how people write tr!Phil—

There's 3 "possibilities" for who tr!Phil is:

tr!Phil is his own guy

tr!Phil is o!Phil reincarnated

tr!Phil is "main" (hc/smpe/c/q)!Phil

Anyway, to elaborate on those 3 theories:

First one's self-explanatory.

Second one originates from the way that tr!Phil is very "fuck everyone and everything except tr!Sneeg, that's my friend," and some other similarities in personality and behavior that tr!Phil shares with o!Phil, like his expensive tastes and love for looting. The bit about him being reincarnated comes from the way Phil says (/j? /hj? /srs???) that o!Phil is dead.

And the third one I'm gonna explain in more detail below:

I'm personally rolling with the theory that this is "main" Phil BUT I love the o!Phil theory/headcanon too and would be happy if Phil changed his mind and did intentional lore that confirmed either of these.

His (albeit ooc, since he's not intentionally rping) refusal to join the factions is an aversion from suffering through Purgatory, and his even more intense refusal to have a snail is from the trauma of losing Chayanne and Lullah.

He came to The Realm (per Tubbo/Sneeg/Fit's pleading) to recover from the heartache QSMP inflicted upon him while also seeing his friends again, since being alone in the Hardcore World hasn't been the easiest after spending a year and a bit almost never alone.

She keeps bringing up that Bad is a father figure and it kinda comes across like she wants him to act less tio-y and more fatherly, especially in comparison to other eggs but like. Huh. What, even.

Idk I feel like they’re relationship didn’t become less parent-childy because q!Bad died but rather because Lullah gravitated towards building a relationship with q!Phil and didn’t need to rely on Bad as much anymore…? Am I wrong? Am I being unserious?

Your cubito designs are genuinely so creative and pretty 😭 your missa and phil cubitos are so cool and unique, you leaned in very heavily into the more creature/animalistic aspects which i don't see a lot of people do, i think it's really cool :D! Awh, thank you!!! I'm really glad that you like the more animalistic approach at their designs, since I was a little worried that people might find them a little weird!! I'm also glad you like the white hair idea for Lullah as well, since I wondered if it might be a bit too out there! To answer your question; It's kinda a mixture of coming up with a strong theme and completely winging it until I land on something that looks good to me! You might have read on each reference sheet's description that I came up with a collection of motifs for each character, and those became the sort of ground base for what the designs would turn into! I feel like there's a good balance to be found where you're making good use of your motifs, but not ENTIRELY relying on them if that makes sense. Of course, there are ways to rely heavily on a motif and make it look fantastic (alienssstufff's cubito designs come to mind, and they're prawnestly a huge inspiration for my own character designs. truly the definition of themes and imagery in my personal onion.) but I personally like to try and get more abstract with themes if more of a literal approach doesn't work out! If you're having trouble coming up with themes for character designs, it's good to think about what kinds of imagery they're already associated with, and if those ideas can be expanded upon in a final design. Using Phil as an example, his themes are "Angel" "Solar Eclipses" and "Deep Sleep". All of these were chosen based on things that relate back to him! Many of the q!phil update tweets, both on the old official twitter account and now more recently on Mercy's VOD updates twitter, have him be referred to as an angel in the prose. In addition to this, he and Missa are written to have a sort of sun and moon dynamic on the updates, so I decided to do a twist on that idea by making him and Missa be different kinds of eclipses visually to not only get across those initial sun and moon themes, but also to best reflect their personalities! And of course, the deep sleep theme comes from Q!Phil's hardcore dreams! Finally, it's a good idea to pick motifs (if you're doing multiple for a character) that either blend well together, or lend well to eachother! That's not to say that you can't combine two vastly different concepts together for a character, though. Sometimes those concepts become the most memorable! But either way, I highly encourage finding ways to connect your concepts together so that you can have even more ideas on your belt for a finalized design! So for example, a solar eclipse can kinda look like a halo, which ties in well with the angel theme! I worked from that and made it into something more abstract by using phil's hat to represent it! Hopefully all of this makes sense (i literally just got up so I'm still like. half asleep LMAO)!!! Thank you again for the kind words!!

Omg I was looking at the dsmp wiki and remembered that c!philza is a part of the syndicate and that means that q!Phil is canonically the current defacto leader of the syndicate. Also we could assume the connection of all former dsmp members on the server making a lot of complicated and funny things canon(not to mention the fact that this all makes Fundy and Lullah canonically siblings)
