Politico also lied that Governor Whitmer said that Biden would lose Michigan. She never said that. They never corrected.

Bloomberg lied (by twisting facts) about Dems doing a virtual roll call about Biden being the nominee. That’s a lie.

Carl Bernstein lied to CNN that Biden was having memory loss at a restaurant in June 2023. The restaurant he named has been closed since 2019. He also wasn’t even there. He cited “unnamed sources” who he says told him. It was reported uncritically and without a fact check by CNN even though it’s not even possible that it’s true.

David Folkenflik of NPR deliberately omitted half of Jim Clyburn’s quote. Bad faith Biden-hater Andrea Mitchell asked Clyburn if he would support VP Harris *if Biden dropped out*. Clyburn answered that direct question in the affirmative, but then spent a long time taking exception to the whole premise of the question and said he doesn’t think Biden should drop out. Folkenflik omitted the part where Clyburn took exception, and only reported that Clyburn would support Harris if Biden drops out. I would count the omission as enough of a distortion of Clyburn’s answer that it was a lie.

This attached data compiled by media matters shows that the political media was pushing these “Biden is old and has dementia” stories even *before* the debate where his stutter got triggered because they let Trump spew a lie tornado all over the the stage at him. They need their bias confirmation now. Which is what they’re doing.

The biggest problem our democracy faces in the 2024 election is voter suppression.

We never hear about that problem. Why?

Because a close second problem is that two institutions which are crucial to protecting our democracy- the press and the courts- only work if they practice disciplined ethics. Neither institution has any accountability in 2024 for not being ethical. Who enforces ethics on the Supreme Court? Who enforces ethics on cable news and political news media? All we can do is not fall for it.

The next time you hear a story where “sources” have told CNN or MSNBC or Politico or NBC or NPR or anybody anything about “insiders say”, just don’t even believe it. “Some people are saying”. That’s what they are getting away with. I’ve been amazed at how many people I’ve seen it work on!

Abby is canonically 27-28. Since she's not human, (no, not doppel either. I'll get more into that later) she can't really physically age.

She usually calls people she doesn't know very well by their last name, with "Mr." or "Ms." behind it. e.i instead of calling McKendra or Raffael by their names, she'll say "Ms. Rudboys" or "Mr. Cappuccin" instead. She stopped calling people around her age this when Stephanie begged her not to.

She goes by she/her and they/them but I'll just use she/her for now.

She eats A LOT. She probably got this from her brother and father. There are occasions where she starves herself but they're usually rare. So yeah, she's big backed.

She can actually play the piano very well. She doesn't just own one casually anymore, but if she finds one she plays it.

She does have heterochromia. One of her eyes is a light brown while the other is hazel. It's usually hard to notice as it's kind of the same color still.

She has markings all over her body which I can't show as I haven't drawn them yet. They're kind of like a spiral as shown below but more wavy or warped.

Izabelle: They talk a lot about true crime and stuff, being a police officer and reporter and all. They also low-key gossip too a lot and would make assumptions and inferences about the neighbors together.

Martin Bubbles: She loves seeing him!! She'll jump down a whole flight of stairs just as he's walking up to give him a hug. They'll make crafts together and such. She finds his deviated eye adorable af.

The Cappuccins: She's friendly towards Ann and sees her as a secondary mother figure. They're both British so they usually have some tea while talking or while Abby is venting about her work and coworkers. Raffael is like a father to her too, but she can be kind of stiff around him too.

The Rudboys: She teases Stephanie DAILY. She enjoys getting on Steph's nerves (if it gets too serious though she will shut up) Abby has like -10 rizz but she likes to think she's succeeding in flirting with Stephanie. McKendra is like a primary mother figure. Abby will eat anything that comes out of this woman's oven (with permission) She's convinced McKendra that she's somehow starving herself lmao.

Frances: She and Fran will talk like once every month and leave it at that. Abby understands Frances isn't a social person and respects that.

Michael and Wilma: Abby and Michael are like partners in CRIME. They'd do the most chaotic shit in the building and get away with it. Abby and Wilma on the other hand...they acknowledge each other's existence and respect each other but that's about it.

first of all, i am actually flattered that you called me an expert (i am literally not but i do know a lot, i observe, i go through lmm tag every day, i get mad when i see people talk shit about him, basically i'm super loud about my love for this guy so there's that some call it dedication, i call it obsession lol).

there are a lot of reasons actually but all of them are just so silly to me. for example, some people say he is a bad actor (if hamilton is not enough for you, please go watch his dark materials, he is excellent and i will fight). others say he can't sing (he can, he may not have the most incredible vocals ever, not like most broadway stars and i know a lot of people compare him with the best singers out there, but it doesn't mean he can't sing, also, he is much better now than he used to be years ago, for example i'd recommend listening to vivo soundtrack, especially keep the beat or one more song, i mean EXCUSE ME BUT MY MAN CAN SING). another reason: some people say he is annoying because he puts raps everywhere. ok, and? he is a great rapper, i'll say more: he is also a freestyle rapper, very talented indeed (i recommend checking literally any freestyle love supreme video on youtube or you can just go through my fls tag here. making up rhymes on the spot? pretty insane if you ask me). there is also a group of people who think he is cringe, his rhymes are cringe, some of his songs are not good, etc etc (i bet those people can write better songs). i think he is one of the greatest composers of our generation and i will, of course, fight (haters, please shut the fuck up about the scuttlebutt, this song was supposed to be annoying, you just don't get it apparently? same with my own drum actually. can we just stop pretending that he is talentless because of those songs you guys literally have no taste and you hate fun and also shut tf up). oh, and also, people these days very often say he is everywhere and it's annoying (this is literally his job but whatever). and my all-time favourite: some people are mad that he was playing hamilton because they think he didn't deserve it (he literally wrote the whole thing but ok). one more thing: i have never read pjo, i literally just started reading it only because of lin, so i know nothing about hermes, but personally i really hope he will sing/rap, just because i want to see them all suffer.

Closing thoughts on Precure All Stars Movie F

Early in the story there was a visual gag with La Mer and Prism that made me think "is this by the guy who directed the best episode in all of Precure (That tropiRouge one)?", so I had to stop and check. And indeed it is the case, and he also directed Go! Princess Precure (one of the best seasons) and the Star Twinkle movie (the best Precure movie), so I knew I was in good hands. And indeed this turned out to be a pretty good movie and a really good anniversary movie, even though it does come with the unavoidable issue that 17 characters is way too many for a 70 minute movie. Towards the end when everyone joins the battle they even have to swap to the 3d models because nobody wanted to animate all that by hand and it looks rough.

Clunky 3d aside this was a very pretty movie, with a lot of beautiful scenery and colours, creative shots and dynamic action. Unfortunately no new forms but at least there was a new Cure design to compensate.

There were also a lot of really good character moments, we did have to waste some time on characters just spouting their catchphrases, but there was still room for funny ways to have the characters from different shows interact with each other. The chaotic muscle brain energy of the Sky-Precious-Summer trio was probably my favourite. Also points for including almost all of my top tier Cures in the main cast! And as a known hater of the over-abundance of friendly and energetic Cures, I welcome the serious edgelord Cure Supreme with open arms.

Due to the short length of the movie and spending a significant amount of it on over a dozen characters just hanging out the story had to run through its worldbuilding, but I don't think that was a huge problem since the character interactions were the best thing anyway, and certainly more interesting than the exact mechanics on how the movies' world was created or where the Cures' ultimate power comes from. But I'd say the film would have greatly benefitted of some 20 extra minutes spent on the plot.

But who cares about the plot, this was very much an anniversary celebration movie, with the theme explicitly being something like "what makes a Precure?" and even a clip show of some of the franchise's biggest moments. Everyone is included in some way, even randos like HapiCha international Cures. Especially the nod towards mascots-turned Cures warmed my heart. Or really making it a plot point that the Cures have mascots in the first place, probably the first time in the history of the franchise that I appreciated it. And in the epic finale (that had music that slaps and some really good action in the shots that didn't use the 3d models) they clearly had fun grouping the Cures by themes, like here we have the mermaid Cures in the same scene for a few seconds! Here are the princesses (and Tsubasa)! Here go the butterflies!

Finally a shout-out to NOT including the stupid light sticks, or at least as obtrusively as usual. I was ready begrudgingly to accept them this time because it is a celebration of the franchise's history after all and they are unfortunately a part of it, but to my delight there were no calls of action directed at the audience.

My final verdict is that this is a very good movie for Precure fans, but probably not that interesting to anyone else. It was also not a very good Hirogaru movie since the Hirogaru girls kind of got buried in the sea of Cures, and didn't get that much of a connection with the antagonist, or even that personal character moments.

hater moment (just some complaining hahaha it's brewing within me so i must release it lest it fester)

really in the struggle zone today and gritting my teeth trying to be niceys....... it's sooo hot. had a super cursed night of 'sleep' (woke up at 2am with no feeling in one arm and had to bring that guy back to life, mischievous jackdaws knocking on the roof waking me up at intervals, forgot to turn on my air purifier when i went to bed so couldn't breathe properly and didn't realise what was going on until i got up, vivid dreams, chronic pain OTL). also doubled one of my meds this week. all of these items have me feeling hazy as hell 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 extremely lucky to have a portable ac but also cursed with 'using the ac makes me ill in different ways for some reason' so it's like. only for 'i think i am physically having a panic response about being too hot' or cooling a room when i'm not in it moments or it seems like i just make myself sicker 😅 trying very hard to be like 'there are some design flaws with this being (me) (<-nasty)' but like. brain too melted to anything. BUT we stay silly!!!! had a really compelling collage idea last night that i'm soooo excited to execute. gotta figure out when i'll start that. once again i'm really not sure how to anything right now but i DO have a vision for it. working on another fun project! i could go outside and sit and gaze from the shade? idk. feeling very feeble creature mode which is not a state i feel like. very loving of myself in. in a couple of days it'll get cooler again though and in the meantime if slug mode supreme is the best i can do then that's still doing my best!!!!!!!
