I was discussing this in the server but I feel like sharing it here too.
I don’t feel like we talk about the umbrella scene enough regarding Adrien’s point of view and that’s a crime! People argue about whether the feelings he develops for Marinette are romantic or platonic in this moment but I believe that isn’t important.
What’s important is how he’s opened his heart to this stranger who assumed the worst of him and in return created a unique, unbreakable connection that he’s always dreamed of having. A friend! It was at this moment that he opened up his heart to Marinette and kept it open, evident in how he’s always tried to initiate conversation with her or interact with her with baby steps. The admiration he has of her starts from the umbrella scene and hasn’t stopped growing since that day.
I feel like it’s really beautiful.
And I wish more people in the fandom appreciated it too.

Can't get out the image of princess AU Amity in one of the bad timelines weeping over Hunter's Golden Guard mask out of my head. You know, sometimes it’s Taylor’s fans that are doing the absolute worst. I can’t believe how many of you are actively trying to get her cancelled. Right now. Like, just leave then! Delete your blog, sell your tickets, whatever. Don’t be two faced about it—if you’re going to say these awful things, then I don’t want to see you posting about her tour. Just go away.
You can call Taylor out if you like, but some of the way you guys word these tweets and threads, it’s like you’re hoping she get destroyed and cancelled all over again. What is wrong with you? You don’t give her any grace. If she doesn’t do exactly what you want, you turn on her. It’s disgusting and I have no place for it in my life. If I see it you’re getting blocked.
Not to mention the tweets of people hoping she gets hurt? Or wishing pain on her because of her personal relationship? It’s sick. And the articles are running wild with it, not even because of something she did, but because of her (alleged) boyfriend? Then Jack should be cancelled for working with them, and Phoebe, and literally everyone they’ve worked with.
Call me a cupcake if you want. I’m a Taylor fan and I support her. I want good things for her. If she does something I don’t agree with, I just don’t support that part of her.
And the kicker—it won’t work. Taylor sticks by her friends, especially if she feels like they are being attacked. She’s still friends with Lena, right? She went through a cancellation and knows how it feels, so she’ll never abandon someone she cares about.

#one the best things I've learned to do in the last five years is advocate for myself#new people took over the kennel I contract at and they haven't been giving me any of the boarding nail trims#I've been a little miffed about it but didn't say anything bc I assumed it was a money thing - if I do the nail trim I get commission#but if a kennel tech does it they don't get commission#today I caught them with a special baby of mine tho and they had just gotten started so I said#I'm supposed to be the only one who does her nails#and the tech was thrilled bc she doesn't like doing nail trims anyway#so after that I pulled myself together and said something to the manager about how the old owner had me do basically all of the nail trims#and he goes#great!#we all hate doing nail trims#and I ended up with 3 today and 2 tomorrow which is an extra $25 in my pocket so that's awesome#i really have found just talking about things like an adult (calmly and rationally) can get you the things you want most of the time#ig bc I grew up with a parent who would sometimes snap at me just for speaking I always expect the worst reactions from people#but so far I've found I almost always get the best#and even when I don't get what I want#nobody has yelled at me for asking
