you ever think about how edwin got like. no warning, no time time to process, nothing, when he reappeared on earth faced with the fact that virtually everyone he knew in life is dead. his parents? probably died in the 1950s or so (at best) almost forty years prior to edwin’s return. if any of his classmates were still around, they’d have been elderly, possibly senile, and in a few years they’d all be gone– except, of course, edwin. nothing looks the same, cars look like spaceships, there actually are spaceships, he can no longer see the stars, and everyone he knew is dead.

#he may be dead too but he’s certainly not gone. he’s a lingering relic. something lost to time #that’s some existential dread on an incomprehensible level #like. he meets charles quite soon after returning from hell and it’s implied he’s pretty much just been haunting that schoolhouse in that #time right. so I seriously doubt he’d have visited– let alone even Found– his parents’ graves. I wonder if he ever did that with charles.#maybe charles providing him enough emotional support to feel like he could handle it.#I know that he wasn’t close to his parents in life– nor was he close with anyone that we know of– and yeah I think that’d definitely make #things a bit easier in certain ways; he never felt like he belonged in his time/place in life or amongst his family or peers #so being displaced from all that wouldn’t feel like losing very much #in a way #but… I mean still #and he inevitably would have those lingering thoughts of what could’ve been–#yes he could’ve died in the war and his life likely wouldn’t be very fulfilling considering he’d probably be forced into a marriage he #wouldn’t want or if he was found out he could’ve been imprisoned and ostracized and disowned. plenty of ways his life could’ve been awful if #but also what if his parents loosened up a little as the times did? as in- what if he actually got to know them? what if they tried to #have a relationship with him of some sort eventually? it’s not impossible #it’d have to eat at him. that and wondering if either of them felt guilty #or felt a loss. or anything #hoo boy. fun stuff #edwin #edwin payne #rambling #dead boy detectives

got some RGG stuff once again, as events in the near future have the gears turning. One of these ideas involves Shinumi, along with another character.... if this gets past initial drafts then it'll probably release in October.

“Bar-hopping! You’re off tomorrow, right?” Kenya pipes up. Shinumi nods, and he continues, “Yeah! Come on, I even know a new bar we can try out!”

“Oh! That True Love place in the Champion District? I heard the owner is a looker. ” Shun swoons at the mention. Shinumi sighs.

“I’ve also heard that the owner is taken, and you don’t want to mess with her man…” he retorts, causing both of his coworkers to laugh.

Was finally back at the bar last Saturday after three weeks of being sick

#it was karaoke night!! but i still had a sore throat and came kinda late so i decided not to sing this time #it was so fun tho and i got tipped €60 even tho my shift was only 6 hours and it wasn't really crowded #it was so sweet how everyone was happy to see me again since i had to skip halloween and my two previous shifts 😭😭😭#my boss said 'heyy melissa high five great to see you' and complimented my shirt and his wife was like 'risen from the dead! welcome back'#and the girl i hadn't worked with before but who i've seen at meetings and concerts immediately hugged me and was so nice to me #i wondered why she sang along so enthusiastically to 'männer sind schweine' by die ärzte until i found out her husband suddenly left her #with three little kids!! 🙄 one of them has cancer and now she suddenly has to find an affordable apartment for the four of them #this is stressing me out so much how fucking dare he. men. our boss posted about it on facebook asking for help which is really kind of him #after we closed when the security guard jokingly suggested a new guy for her she said she's becoming a lesbian so welcome to the club ig #anyway don't we love it when guys suddenly dump you out of nowhere as soon as things start to get a lil rough. viva la lesbianism for real #my face #the bartender chronicles

Even tho it's been almost 2 years since that fatui harbinger pv dropped, I'm still in shock we're getting Capitano so soon, like genuinely gasped upon hearing he'll be in Natlan(he's my favorite design dropped in that pv 😭😭)

If he ever gets announced as a playable character, I am saving up for years istg. Tho I'm really worried about how they're gonna portray him, both in the story and as a possible playable character. I want a genuine faceless, masked character, okay!? I'm worried they'll make him a twink 😭 and he's also one of those charas that I feel like needs a bigger model than what's avaliable :/
