repeating myself here, but for good reason: the Silliness of the dafpork dynamic, however you determine the definition of Silliness, is really so integral to me and i think a big part of what makes them so special and personal. and i think that's a big reason why i was so afraid to post even the most innocuous stuff on main--even if they're not being clingy or cute together in a drawing, even in the comics where they're bickering like children or just being Themselves, there's this undercurrent of love beneath it that feels so comparatively intimate. they can have their moments of Unabashed Earnest, and they stand out much more and feel more special when you have them being dumb together to contrast it with... it's hard to pin down and they're hard to pin down, and that's why i love 'em, y'know? the variations on their dynamic is boundless, and so is their love, and so is their hijinks. they're not easily squeezed into an identifiable little box, and while i think that can trip some people up, i think it works to such a great strength with them. it's why i have trouble doing ask memes or drawing prompts with them (though i should try more!), because Dafpork Is Dafpork--they have minds and emotions and dispositions of their own and this blog functions to just sit back and observe what that all is, rather than force it. and that's how you get such a broad spectrum of Stuff, too; them being cute together, or being obnoxious, whether at each other or with each other, or they're not quite anything at all because the only one who knows what they are is each other. there's just truly so much and i really don't think it can be condensed into a bite sized trope or sweeping label.. and considering Daffy's anarchy and Porky's stubbornness, that feels very fitting. maybe it's a reason as to why it's difficult for some people to get on board with them, but i feel like it's such a great strength, and it's a great motivator to spread their gospel all the more, too! to try and get people to understand! so thank you for reading this, because if you're here then it shows you're curious and want to uncover more about them. me too!

is it just me or is there a recent(past few years) increase in people just. caring so much about what actors think ?
like, yes, sure, it can be interesting, but i don't actually give a flying fuck. their opinions don't matter more bc they're acting out the script.
actors are not writers. actors are not the source text. actors do not carry the correct answers to their character's future or inner life
#every day i open this app and tumblr opens 'for you' and i see takes and i scream on the inside#this is bear adjacent but also the weewoo show#they're gonna ask actors about ships and it doesn't fucking matter what the actor says#we cannot on tumblr. give this much energy to dissecting what that white man said about x#he doesn't write the scripts!!! he doesn't edit the scenes!!!#i feel so old but. jeeeeeeez#your ship might become canon#it might not#your ship is not something you can demand through interaction or expect simply bc there's support in the narrative#and the discussion 'should that be the case' is a different thing#but. the amount of 'if X doesn't happen...' that i see on here.... not as a joke#........ the writers don't care babes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#anyways. i miss the olden fandom days#can you tell my meds make me extra irritable or ? 🥴

i feel really annoyed by someone at work but feel bad because its not his fault really (iykwim.. wont say much but some people are more prone to struggling with social cues ok) but i dread shifts with this dude fr idk. some days its ok i vibe with him fine. other days im like .-. shoot me pls
#he rambles so much its like the vocal version of a text wall. it drains me#i do 1 word responses sometimes and ik i look like a jackass but its seriously so exhausting when its everytime he sees you#Idk if he rambles at others as much as he does at me? I feel like as soon as he spots me hes like. “I gotta ramble to her n follow her"#And he keeps wanting me to b a part of his life but im like u r just a coworker. No i dont want to be a voice actor in ur audiobook#(Told him that firmly bc omfg. No. I have no interest at all.)#And i didnt say this but no.. i don't wanna go to the movies with you no i dont want to hang out withyou. Noooo.#I always just say “idk maybe that'd be cool” but i gotta be firm but its awkward af when people are around (coworkers)#idkk its not the worst thing. #so that dotd rewrite is out and i have some thoughts on it but i wouldn't know where to put them.. maybe in here bc i don't actually feel -#- like making a whole ass text post. this is coming from me as criticism and not hate.. just some crit from one fan to another if you get m#SPOILERS AHEAD >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>#first off props to the team because this was obv a labor of love - 4 and a half years to make a feature long fan movie is hard work#and the animated stuff was a really nice touch and very commendable - you don't see them too often in big fanworks#in terms of the story well.. there are some things i like and some things that i don't (personally) again no hate#i'm aware this is a rewrite and boy howdy it IS a rewrite - though i am a bit sad that percy doesn't end up being the protagonist and it's#- thomas that has to play hero again.. like i kinda get it but what made the original dotd stand out was that percy was given the spotlight#so i spent an ungodly amount of time wondering when percy was gonna take charge or step into the main story to resolve the problem.. sigh#i liked that they tried to give norman more of a character bc a lot of characters do often get neglected in the series but it was kind of -#- hard to sell that for me? the twist in this rewrite was very creative and i do appreciate it but i guess it just ain't for me#“different” is ok and this is just one of many fan rewrites for this particular story#if there was something i enjoyed.. i guess the beginning was still kind of exciting because the set up was honestly like hype a bit#i liked that diesel and d10 actually got to interact face to face and there are clearer dynamics established for the diesels#and also. silverband's performances as d10 will always be fun he does a fantastic job voicing him (how d10 stole xmas will still be my fav)#my criticisms for this movie also derive from the pacing and the voice acting - i found it hard to try and understand tones sometimes -#- because the delivery felt so off.. like don't get me wrong not everyone in the fandom is a voice actor but if we're using static faces -#- for these fan works the delivery has to be a little more clear or else it'll sound like you're reading from a script.. sorry yall :"|#for the pacing i found it a bit hard to parse when some things were going on and how fast things were progressing#as well as the crashes.. that's also another thing bc i couldn't tell bc of the sfx and audio balancing - it could be better..#i wanna say. muffled voices do not substitute for a “far away”/off-screen voice bc i still can't hear it :��|#there were a lot of throwbacks and references to older thomas media/movies but some of them felt a little.. much?#if this is a dotd rewrite why are we getting some parallels with tatmr.. but i digress. at least they made diesel beef with duck a bit#there's a lot more i could say but i'm keeping those to myself. at the end of the day this fan movie was hard work for everyone involved#and you can tell some of the folks were having fun in there - props to them! i'm always glad to see more fan works in the community#we've come so far we're making feature length fan stories and rewrites that's crazy! i hope to see more in the future#fauxtrainpost.txt

Just ended up seeing part of a1p1 and. Saw the look Owen gives to Curt as they start to turn away from the audience on 'time to put on your tux again'. I feel like crying???
This was after replaying the moment specifically bc I caught the start of the choreography right after and the arm grab felt like a punch in the gut. Guys I think I might care a little bit too much about this choreography and this show and these characters
#definitely was spooky#THE CONNECTION. THE INTENSITY. THE TRUST.#THEY RELY ON EACH OTHER THEY DEPEND ON EACH OTHER.#choreography that tells you as quickly as possible how close and important these characters' bond is#even when you don't necessarily know Why yet you know that there is an incredibly strong bond there#it's a dance that they do together. it's representative#they reach out for each other at the same time. and neither misses. the other is right there reaching back.#and then the look to the audience messes me up too.#i'm incredibly normal about the fourth wall.#that moment to me (at least right now but i've noticed it before) feels like (at least on a rewatch maybe) saying Witness This.#bc of the blocking curt is turned more towards the audience. we are a viewer that is there with him and is included in the moment.#we're invited in. acknowledged as part of the team. we're coming on this journey with him and he's noticed we're here.#owen is turned away and he looks back over his shoulder. he knew we were here. an actor ought to know where their audience is.#like he's checking we're still here. prepare to watch the show. before returning to the real focus - the man before him and the task at han#idk i just. curt looking at what's in front of him. just now noticing what is with him#owen looking back to check. owen looking back.#turned away like he's about to leave but he looks back at us. checking if we're watching. witness this.#i am aware that i am on about absolute nonsense here i am just having a moment#i love making things up for fun#however if i ever do somehow get the chance to play owen i will be thinking a lot about any slight interaction with the audience!#because that is how i roll. overthinking something that makes no difference to anyone else but does To Me

paralive does an an anime!! if you want my personal opinion on it, it did go off track from the drama track canon in the last 4 episodes and tbh was very bae focused. however i am also a big bae fan so i may be a bit biased when i say i still really liked it<33 if you also like bae then i would say def go ahead and watch it! i think it does the big emotional moments from the drama tracks really well!
