Maverick Virus: the original virus (as far as the MMX series is concerned), created by Dr Wily to stabilise Zero's mind (both too little virus and too much virus will turn him into a mindless murder machine). Unleashed upon the world when Zero was reactivated and turned the timeline into a shitshow for the next 300+ years to come

Sigma Virus: the merging of the Maverick Virus with the reploid Sigma's mind, allowing Sigma to survive without a body and return time and time again. After X1, Sigma basically became sentient robot rabies

Colony Virus: what Dynamo used in X5 to cause the space colony Eurasia to fall towards Earth. Unfortunately not very well-explained (and by not well I mean not at all)

Zero Virus: the merging of the Sigma Virus and the Colony Virus, created by Sigma to revert Zero to his "true personality" and grant him bisexual lighting. So powerful it can create pockets of Cyberspace on Earth

Nightmare Virus: created by the reploid scientist Gate after analysing Zero's DNA (data contained in Zero's processors, which were lying around after he got, um, dismembered in X5). Has the ability to brainwash reploids and create an illusion of Zero (called Zero Nightmare) among other things
