Babysitter Uncle. Working on Replica but it's taking a little longer than expected so here's a panel! It's a tradition in flying circles that after a student's first solo flight, the back of their shirt is cut off. The date, their name, and the plane's identification number are then written on the removed fabric, which is usually pinned up on a wall with the shirt backs from other students. The first solo is a significant milestone in learning to fly, as it displays enough control and knowledge to fly as Pilot In Command.

TLDR: I think Donnie should get to fly planes.

Does Donnie have ideas and plans to help Leo so he doesn’t always need to be bandages up 24/7? Obviously, the wounds and scars can never physically heal, that much is clear, but I’d like to think Donnie would still try to help

He does in fact try to find out how to, at the very least, make it so that Leo isn’t like. Half a mummy.

For a while, he cycles through some prototypes that in the beginning just amount to different colors of bandages (mainly black and blue) that are sleeker and longer lasting. Different armors are discussed, though it’s hard to make ones that won’t hinder Leo’s speed too much.

It’s…a slow going process. And it gets to the point where Leo is so used to wearing bandages all the time that he’d feel weird without them.

Ok, sorry to spam you with Gemini asks, I'm trying to write the magazine interview and I want to make sure it's accurate.

Does Donnie call his battle shell his battle shell? If not, what would he call it?

Since he doesn't often get to use it in battle, I figured it would make a good question for an interview, one which Donnie would enthusiastically infodump about (well, infodump about the basics anyway. Can't give away all of his secrets)

Yes, he refers to it as his battleshell! And I'd say he gets to bring his battleshell into the Nexus with him maybe around 50% of the time? Though that number is actively dropping. He used to be allowed to have it a lot more when he was younger, but the longer they've been fighting, the less often he gets to bring it. It's sort of another way of 'upping the stakes' as they go.
