so like. Dave's nonbinary to me. he just gives the vibe.

i headcanon that Henry's transmasc, just that no one can Tell and he never really brings it up unless it's in passing.

so like. here's the headcanon i have:

in their earlier days of working together, Henry kinda realized that Dave had like. no legal documents. none. not a driver's license, not any ID in general, nothing.

Dave just mentions that he might have a birth certificate out there somewhere, but even then that might be a MAYBE. and if he does have one, he has no clue how to access it, or where it is.

so Henry just...decides to get him some. (mostly by forging them, but hey, he's good at doing that)

it's only when they get to Gender that Dave starts having questions. it's at This Point Henry realizes that, despite Dave having a masculine name and all that, he kinda. doesn't really Have a gender. nor cares what it is. because he's mostly just gone along with whatever people called him on the streets up until this point (he's mostly been referred to as an 'it' for most of his life...not that he's ever fully minded those pronouns, either. he Has been referred to like a girl a few times, due to the long hair, though!)

unfortunately, they've gotta put something down, and they've only got two options. Dave finds this stupid, as does Henry. eventually, Dave asks like. how do humans determine gender? like what standards should he go by here? Henry responds "generally at birth, they determine your gender by whatever your genitals are. it's a rather simplified version of it, but that's mostly how it is done."

so then Dave asks (in a rather Dave-like fashion): so what's his gender if he happens to have a dick, then?

so Henry just kinda pinches the bridge of his nose and goes "you'd be considered male, then."

so that's what they put on there, but only because they had to put something down.

just y'know. a weird headcanon i had because like. i thought about it, and i realized that when Dave started working with Henry he likely wouldn't have like. Any sort of real identification on him. and he'd likely need to get some at some point. and he Obviously wouldn't know how to get documents the Normal Way (made more difficult by the fact he's a cryptid), so Henry goes "well. i did once, i can do it again."

I'm super hyperfixated on the original managers, so I have 2 questions.

1. In Dialtown, Tango/Terrence says no one called him Tango before. Assuming that in the DSaF universe he also liked that nickname, did any of the other original managers call him Tango or not?

2. A headcanon I've seen in the DSaF fandom is that Abel hated everyone BUT the real Scott Cawthon, and that Scott was the only one that tolerated Abel (some ppl even ship them). Is that close to canon? Or the og Scott Cawthon also hated Abel? I really want to know what they thought about each other.

Btw, I really love your games, I've played the DSaF trilogy many times, and the Dialtown demo (I haven't played the full version of Dialtown yet, but I've seen gameplays and I'll buy it for my birthday), thank you for making 4 incredible games <3

I don't answer many DSaF questions these days, but this one's interesting so here goes:

1)Tango's nickname is a DT invention as far as I remember. If he preferred the name in DSaF's universe, Harry would've used it for sure, given how much he liked Terrence and since he's literally using a name he doesn't believe is really 'his' because it makes him feel better. He of all people would understand.

2)Yeah, that's a pretty good way of stating it, but there's a little more nuance to it that explains a little bit more about Abel/Joe's rift.

Basically, the original Scott Cawthon was a unifying figure. He got on with every single one of the original managers and they all thought the world of him. The Phone Guy process was started in an attempt to recreate him by Abel (and the other managers at first) and you gotta consider why they'd all want to do that. He was the glue that held the group together, the only manager liked by everyone else there without exception, someone who could defuse tension and resolve conflicts amicably.

It's true that he had the most patience for Abel and never badmouthed Abel to the other managers and even defended him earnestly, knowing Abel the best of the other managers and knowing some of Abel's early life and where he came from, while the others were more willing to honestly discuss Abel's short fuse and occasionally mean nature (even Terrence to some extent!) This led Abel to develop more of a bond with him than the other managers and somewhat distrust the others.

While Abel was essentially Scott's number 2, as time went on, Joe became more and more integral to the running of their budding company, since he was a skilled accountant and managed to balance the books despite Scott's somewhat reckless spending at times (he was overgenerous to the point where it sometimes led to financial trouble for the company, a stark contrast to what Freddy's became later.) Since Joe was so blunt (and Abel's biggest critic), Abel was incredibly jealous and insecure that if the trend continued, Joe would supplant him.

This also explains why Abel was so willing to toss his other managers into the 'machine' when each of them suffered accidents. Ultimately, it wasn't just sheer cowardice, it was him trying to recreate the past - to recreate the one person who seemingly saw him as anything other than a vampire. Someone who actually wanted him around. Of course, no two snowflakes are ever exactly the same. Abel was a poor replacement as the owner of the company, Joe was barely able to keep things afloat amidst a messy and chaotic expansion and Harry wound up presiding over the company's demise.

There's a pretty widespread narrative theme in DSaF of damaged people trying to recreate something they've lost - Dave trying to turn Jack into the new Henry, Jake and his family, Harry and his former identity, the Kennedy family reuniting.

“Can’t repeat the past? Why, of course you can!”

But, the fact is, you can't recreate the past. The only way forward is to pick up the pieces and build something new.

Just because Dave isn't aware of how awful he's being to Jack doesn't mean he still isn't being that way..

Before I continue, let me start this with the fact that I love Dave. He's one of my favorites from the DSAF gang. But just because his mind has been messed with doesn't mean he's devoid of fault.

Let's start with the good endings. The ones where Jack ceases to do anything harmful. Dave continuously pops up, preys on his insecurities

"you're only about as human as a hammer or a wrench, sportsy, and that's what I and phoney see you as." <- good ending, DSAF 2, saferoom.

Dave is very attached to Jack. We see this in how, even on the good routes, he still writes frantic diary messages over his "old sport." He still sets up cameras in his room. He still uses his shower. He still follows Jack from location to location. He still begs, even as the robotic-trapped shell of his former self, for Jack to play along with his plans.

Dave is horribly attached to someone he sees as a tool. This is EXTREMELY unhealthy for both him AND especially Jack.

Yes, this is a product of what Henry did to him, but he still does it. He still preys on Jack, because he's perceptive enough to notice his weaknesses and use them to gain what he wants.

And Jack. Jack 'seems' to be okay with it, but he's notorious for pushing down his feelings. He's not a "human," after all, so why should he care what happens to him? This mindset is exactly why Dave is able to get him to do anything in the first place.

Jack is a terribly, terribly lonely man. Dave knows this. Even Peter, taking a singular look at him, said that he looked like the "loneliest man on earth." (paraphrased.) Jack, going with the bad route timeline, obviously saw the first person who treated him with anything other than mild disgust.. someone who had greeted him with the subtext that they were equals... And got attached. Dave is one of the only things that seem to be permanent in his life, everything else is fleeting. His family, his own body.. even his soul left him. even when Dave is his enemy in the good routes, Jack still treats him with unreasonable kindness.

Dave went into him and Jack's partnership with the intention to use, abuse, then throw him out. Even in the bad ending of DSAF 1, it ends up with Jack thrown out on the side of the road for "hoarding coke." Dave's plans changed, of course, but his methods of coercion never changed.

Fun thing, did you know that Dave was lying in the first game when he said that he needed Jack to get him out of Freddy's? Dave is slippery. He was NEVER trapped. He tied himself up in a faux web of his own making in an attempt to get Jack stuck in it, too. Dave only wanted Jack because he couldn't handle the idea of not having a partner. He can't do solo acts, not because he's not skilled, but because he's conditioned himself to believe he "needs" someone else, subconsciously or not.

All of this stacked up together really doesn't paint a pretty picture of their relationship, huh. What Henry had done unto Dave was something Dave had done unto Jack. It's a cycle of abuse.

And before you say... "It's mutually toxic, what about the end of bad route DSAF 3???!!" Yeah okay that still isn't a mutually toxic relationship. Jack was coerced into a rigged springlock suit that Davetrap KNEW would end up with Jack getting impaled, all because Davetrap wanted to make himself feel better about his own physical state. Dave ADMITTED to having cameras in Jack's room, watching him sleep.. and Dave then ADMITTED HE KILLED JACK'S SISTER. Jack was never using Dave in the same way as Dave was using him. Jack wanted revenge, that isn't toxic, that's just murder.

All of what I just listed, however, is specific to reality Dave. Flipside Davesport is significantly less 'toxic'

I don't care how you interpret their relationship, I don't mind if you like them better out of character, where they're healthy and in love. I just feel it's important to acknowledge that canonically, Dave IS extremely abusive towards Jack and that you shouldn't take them as an example of a healthy relationship. Do not model your relationships off of them, kids, I know how many young teens populate this fandom.

ok um. so.

The biggest thing abt Jack's personality is his apathy. He doesn't really care about anything other than his own amusement (and one other thing but I'll get into that later)

Yes, he agrees to help Fredbear (but what was he supposed to do? Just die?) but he doesn't actually Care about the dead kids. It's why he agrees to kill w Dave so easily! In fact, all Dave has to do to persuade him is to tell him how it would benefit Jack and Jack never argues that it's wrong. (I don't think he doesn't know that - he simply doesn't care)

He also... doesn't really care about his siblings either. He says he does, sure, but he doesn't, really. He has no problems killing them on evil routes (and while technically it is only Legacy Jack that does this, it still applies to Regular Jack and I'll explain why in a bit)

Here is where we get into differences between Regular and Legacy; Legacy actually cares about his siblings' deaths (insane, I know). Yeah, that is different from caring about them bcs. as stated before. He kills them in cold blood. lmfao

But he also gets Pissed when Dave flaunts around Dee's scarf and says it's his "most prized souvenir" to the point where he rips his fucking head off. So clearly Legacy cares that his siblings were murdered.

But Regular never ??? does anything ??????? to imply he gives a fuck ??????????? Like sure he says he cares but like. idk considering he knows Who his siblings are now and he has no problem lying to and/or killing them. I'd say he doesn't really care.

Anyway to get to the other thing Jack cares about - Dave! There's no arguing on this, Dave is the only person Jack couldn't bring himself to lie to in the good ending of dsaf 3 and directdoggo has confirmed that that entire monologue was just Jack going around saying "I love you". And we can tell Legacy also cares about Dave, since in dsaf 3, you only solidify the evil path with the line "Dave... I missed you." Which is really fuckin weird to say if you don't care about the person you're saying this to and only want to kill people again? And it's not like Jack can't do it by himself, not to mention Legacy could've easily just. Said he wants to murder again, there's no reason for him to lie about missing Dave. He wouldn't gain anything from lying and Dave was desperate enough to the point where he absolutely would've taken "ok fine lets kill again" more or less the same.

And before anyone tries telling me that Legacy is possessed by Henry or whatever the fuck. That's just misinterpretation of the text. Please go back and rewatch the evil ending, Henry literally STATES he cannot directly control Jack, just talk to him.

SO ALL THIS TO SAY. Both Regular and Legacy Jack care about Dave.

And- that's kind of weird, isn't it? Why is caring about Dave like. More or less the only thing they have in common? Why Dave specifically? What's so special about him?

Well I've given it some thought and. Simply put - nothing. There is nothing special about Dave. What is special is the circumstances in which their relationship formed and developed.

Dave is the only person Jack has gotten to know after he became soulless. Not only that, but they've hung out repeatedly (both the child murder and vegas) so it makes sense Jack would care about him, no?

As for why he doesn't care about anyone he got to know before dying. The most accurate way I can think to phrase it is that losing his soul reset all his feelings.

Anyway. To the part that fucks w me the most.

The similarities between BlackJack and Legacy Jack.

This should Not be a section that I need to make. What the fuck is this. If anything they should be polar opposites, no? BlackJack is literally this guy's soul and they very much clash at the end of the dsaf 2 pure evil ending so what the fuck am i talking about

And I could mention the whole. killing in cold blood thing. But honestly, even Regular Jack does it? If you go w Dave but don't go for the pure evil ending, Jack is still a murderer and all.

So for actual things BlackJack and Legacy have in common that Regular Jack doesn't. The first one that comes to mind is absolutely the enormous ego. (BlackJack thought he could deal with Henry all on his own (which is like. fucking insane. when you actually get to the fight you realize all of blackjack's attacks are fucking useless lmfao) and Legacy LITERALLY LOOKED GOD IN THE EYE AND SAID "I AM GOD". THATS ALMOST KINDA SICK. WHAT THE FUCK DUDE) And because of said ego, they also treat everyone else as inferior!! So that's fun. (BlackJack's entire monologue about how everyone in your party is a monstrosity and he'll show Henry what he's created and if he doesn't feel bad abt it he'll kill him!! And Legacy straight up calling Peter his prey in that one scene)

The last thing is that they're... kind of the only versions of Jack that actually care about their siblings' deaths? Like I said earlier, Regular doesn't give a fuck and both BlackJack and Legacy make it very clear that they're upset about it.

I really like what my friend said on this matter - that BlackJack and Legacy are coping with their tragedy in a similar way, while Regular Jack is coping differently. For BlackJack and Legacy, revenge seems to be a big thing, so it's not really a shocker that the more they care, the more cruel and violent they are. Simply put, caring serves as motivation for doing terrible things.

Um. I am very passionate about Legacy Jack.

Moving on from him though. Regular Jack is really interesting too.

Bcs he doesnt really. change between the different endings. Really, the only difference in Him Specifically between whether he saves the kids or not is just. Does he regard the promise he was forced to make as more important? or does he not give a shit and only think of his own amusement?

Frankly considering that he murders children for kicks and that BlackJack is implied to have been. Very Brutal when killing Henry. It really makes me wonder about what Jack was like before he died (or Alive Jack as I call him).

To me, Alive Jack is the biggest mystery regarding Jack because it's so hard to say what behaviors of all other versions of Jack are a result of Jack's tragedy and what are simply What he's Like. I'd love to say more on this topic but there simply isn't anything to say, all we can do is speculate.

Dr. Henry Miller is a frog.

Remember a long time ago in a faraway land when I made a low quality theory that claimed Henry was in fact a frog?

I’m not sorry. In fact, fuck you, fuck your mom, fuck your long lost twin hidden in the attic who creepily plays piano when the house is quiet and wears a mask of Merida from Brave to hide their deformed face.

I fucking stand by it.

Henry is a frog, we know this much by now. His hue is one frogs can have and he seems to lack features like ears and a nose. Rather frog behaviour if you ask me.

But now I ask YOU… do his teeth look real? No right, far too big they basically hold the poor guy’s mouth open by force implying need for severe dental intervention. I believe these teeth not to be real teeth at all but simply cartoonishly large dentures he got from a joke shop. We know he’d attend such a place because while he is characterized rather serious he was known for blowing up urinals causing Freddy’s bathrooms to have cams and of course just loving to laugh at all things especially dying people. He seems to have a rather good sense of humour!

So no ears, no nose, no teeth, probably no butthole ei- yeah you know what doesn’t have these things? A fuckin frog. Now I ask you does he not appear moist? He looks grimy, sticky even. Frog.

Now my last theory argues this was normal HOWEVER I have since come to believe that Henry is in fact not natural… to our world. No I’m not calling another DSAF character an alien bare with me.

See if this was normal it would change a lot. We’d see frog people. We’d see noticeable change to history as frog people grow around humanity, new inventions, fuck, new frog racism. I’m not even kidding here if frog people existed I am sure humans would be racist towards them we can’t handle people having a different dominant hand than us for fucks sake humans kinda just suck like that. There would be frog politics. Frog moistening rooms. And most of all Henry would feel no need to disguise himself with something as silly as fake teeth.

No our frog man came from another world entirely. But but but let’s be clear it’s not like with Dave who seems to have just come out of nowhere Henry interacted with people, he understands his inhumanity and actively hides it almost as if he was taught how. He has knowledge of reality far greater than that which is normal as if… otherworldly.

Even more than that Henry is a pink frog with a sense of humour and the knowledge of how to disguise himself as human. Friends, comrades, giant enemy spiders, Henry is Sprig.

A Sprig from a tragic world where Anne never comes back from death who leaves his home and family behind in order to try to get Anne back after Hop Pop becomes an alcoholic to deal with the grief. He finds himself transported into the human world but… in the past, forced to bide his time and search for a cure to the big dead getting both medical and spiritual knowledge, taking part in the war where he looses his tongue and hat via arrow to the knee. He tattoos his eyes black and takes Dave to start Fredbear after the circus proves useless and the rest is history.

Henry is Sprig from Amphibia it all lines up it all makes sense who else would be able to create such war crimes but a guy with a slingshot, a slingshot being the earliest signs in a child of psychotic tendencies. “Sprig has hair” you say? He lost it in the war and due to stress. “This is stupid” you say, I say any other answer is madness. “The frogs in Amphibia have teeth and in proving they are fake you prove-“ FAKE. TEETH. The government is lying to you to hide this great truth.

Henry Miller is Sprig, this is fact. It had been in front of us all along we were just too blind to see it.

Yeah he's kicking around somewhere in the void like usual, but since Dave's body was maimed beyond repossession when Hen springlocked him and it was thrown out like the trash he always thought it was, he didn't link the new rat squeaking at him to anything as Dave's weird technically parasitic soul juices hadn't turned his new rat body purple yet, and getting your neck broken by rat traps every week or so got too much after a while so dave with a bit less trauma than usual left, and came back a week later to see Hen gone

But if Hen somehow got his hands on them they would 100% be given the lab rat treatment.. And Dave would try and make pinkie and the brain references towards jack to try and lighten his mood

Also unrelated but I can't shut up about my ideas so you're listening anyway, so because rodent teeth constantly grow, jack does grow his back but he keeps on getting them knocked out in mildly ridiculous accidents, like a bad luck curse I gave to him for my own amusement, Dave helps by cutting up his food when he can see jack struggling

i feel bad for being upset about fandom stuff because i think people should be allowed to have fun but i hate how many people are so "but he's just a little guy 🥺🥺🥺" unironically over davetrap. and how many people are obsessed with davesport with davetrap specifically. there is a huge difference between davetrap and flipside dave, or hell even davetrap and pre-dsaf 3 dave.

davetrap was terrifying. he was not "just a little guy" he literally caused me at least two panic attacks, and that's only counting the ones that happened during bear.'s run (that i remember. for all i know there could've been more). he would've killed me in that saferoom if roger hadn't come in. he left a fucking bruise on my arm from how hard he grabbed me when we ran into each other at the utah location. i was scared of him. in my mind he was somewhere near henry with how fucking terrified of him i was. there were so many fucking times where i woke up sobbing in dave's arms because i had a fucked up dream regarding davetrap doing something to me or anyone i was close to.

1. IF they were different universes, then why is there literally a dlc for roger and peter and the redturaunt from three is mentioned, along with jake

Different universes, but with some shared characters, specifically the original characters that were written by me without 1:1 equivalents. It would be copyright infringement to include a character in DSaF called 'phone guy' or to have a phone headed guy with the same backstory as the canon character in the actual FNaF timeline, or to tie their backstories in with events ripped from FNaF lore. Bear is also not the restaurant from DSaF 3 in almost any sense, it just shares a name. They're essentially easter eggs, yeah.

And they couldn't be the same universe because:

1)The years don't line up. Peter is dead by the time DSaF 3 takes place, by the 2020's, which is also when DT is set. Peter would also be like 90(?) by the time DT rolled around, if alive. All of the holdovers in DT were born way later than their DSaFcarnates.

2)DSaF takes place out west, DT is set in the midwest and the references are localized to WI.

3)Freddy Fazbear (and FNaF elements) do not exist in DT's universe. There's no haunted robots (hell, 'bear' doesn't even have animatronics.) The phone headed guys share names and some backstory elements with their DSaFcarnates, but nothing related to FNaF's canon. Closest would be Harry and Peter working at generic pizzerias at different points, but these are just nods to my other work, and the restaurants aren't the same, and they don't have animatronics in them. Springlocks don't exist. Henry doesn't exist. The puppet doesn't exist, and virtually every event in the DSaF/FNaF timelines don't have equivalents in DT canon. It wouldn't be legal for these elements to exist in DT's lore and they wouldn't serve much use anyway.

4)Dialtown's lore has everyone getting phoneified in the 60's, which would obviously completely break DSaF's timeline. The two canons are directly incompatible. DT's story is original and too divergent/removed from DSaF's to reconcile the two canons.

So how can we tell if they'd be toxic with each other in a relationship by comparing a single line from a route where they're literally enemies. Also, in that same route, Jack still happily says hi to Dave(trap).

Peter literally had to remind him not to befriend the enemy😭🙏

Cause again, Jack doesn't care all that much.

"He still follows Jack from location to location."

That's actually the contrary.. Dave is always seen to be there before we get the job. WE find him, not the other way around.

And in the other locations Jack worked at, Dave was never stated to be there.

"Dave is horribly attached to someone he sees as a tool. This is EXTREMELY unhealthy for both him AND especially Jack."

Ok, and that's the point where things start getting into a mess.

Dave. Never. Saw Jack. As a tool.

Doggo stated that himself: Dave saw Jack as a replacement for Henry. and you'll see how everything goes into a full circle when we arrive at your final point.

But first off, let's start with the marrion ending flashback.

Dave immediately starts comparing every part of Jack to Henry's.

The scars. The eyes. The soulless grin.

He says he is perfect.

If Jack represents Henry to Dave, he is everything but a tool in his mind.

But something to note, im talking about dsaf 1 dave, Jack is basically a Henry's lookalike stranger to him.

Now you would wonder why he abandoned us every time we failed at something.. well, it's simply because he has based standards for Henry, and we all know what they are. So If we aint worthy of doing everything right like henry does,, we are out of his legacy. (Again, dsaf 1.)

But by dsaf 2, he spends more time with old sport and starts appreciating Jack for who he is, not who he looks like.

The real noticeable shift is when we play as peter in dsaf 2, and Dave says "the fucker tried to do a flip in a springlock suit! I love that bastard."

First time we see him actually appreciating Jack's character, he is starting to know him, finds him FUNNY, something that Henry isn't.

But dont expect him to like us the first time he sees us step into that saferoom and sniff some coke with him in vegas

"Yes, this is a product of what Henry did to him, but he still does it. He still preys on Jack, because he's perceptive enough to notice his weaknesses and use them to gain what he wants."

How's Dave a mastermind using someone's insecurities in his advantage when he is just bold with every single aspect of himself. Literally telling a stranger within the 4 seconds of meeting him, he killed tons of toddlers.

He doesn't manipulate Jack in any way since we can literally get out of his plan whenever we want to, and the times when he kills us afterward are almost all by accident. (In Dsaf 1 AND in dsaf 2)

Our ONLY positive responses to him telling us his entire plan are:

"Sure, why the heck not?"

OR

"Anything to get away from this job."

"And Jack. Jack 'seems' to be okay with it, but he's notorious for pushing down his feelings. He's not a "human, after all, so why should he care what happens to him? This mindset is exactly why Dave is able to get him to do anything in the first place."

That's also one of the main problems

Most things go into the headcanon section, and things that weren't directly confirmed in game, nor by doggo.

And it's totally ok, but from an official game perspective, the only confirmed aspect here is

the fact that Jack has a hard time expressing his feelings, doggo confirmed it on his tumblr responding to an ask basically asking who Jack generally is as a person:

"Firstly, Jack is a bastardman not very touchy-feely. We can see this in many scenes, where Dave more or less says "I love you" and Jack responds with deflecting humour. or outright scorn When Dave says it for the final time, this time, Jack tries to say it back, but can't outright, only getting out: "Why is this so hard?" and "I hope you can find peace with what you've done." Which Dave understood the meaning of.(Hey, better than Henry (LEGACY Jack) hearing "I love you" and proceeding to tear Dave limb from limb, huh?"

So yes, that part is canon, but the rest? Who tells you he only 'SEEMS' ok with it.

But, if you prefer it like that, thats totally fine.

Everyone is allowed to like it how they want, that's what a fandom's about <:

And they fought over coke. Can you imagine how high the both of them were?

Dave was just mad, so he left without him!

Also, because it absolutely makes no sense since the phone guys themselves say that the employees who tried scaping freddy's were found and killed! Dead in the ben outside freddy's! Charming

And also assuming Dave actually lied, that would throw the entire concept of the red contract out of the window.

Y'know the contract Steven warns about, because since he signed it he wasn't allowed to see his nonexistent family for the past 10 years or smth!

So yeah, Dave was definitely not lying, for all these in-game reasons.

Jack was coerced into a rigged springlock suit that Davetrap KNEW would end up with Jack getting impaled, all because Davetrap wanted to make himself feel better about his own physical state."

First off i have no idea what you were talking about in the first part, cause i dont think its at all mutually toxic in dsaf 3, Davetrap is just a whole other story because he ISNT stable at that point, and Jack doesn't change all that much other than growing in maturity.

But we are not talking about THIS right now, we are gonna talk about the full circle thing I referenced earlier.

Davetrap, NEVER springlocked Jack because he wanted to feel better about himself. (In fact, at that time, he left better than ever in it. It was the first thing Henry built for him, a GOLDEN RABBIT according to doggo's dsaftales: "nothing", Da golden rabbit was like a GIFT for Dave. So he felt like he was GIFTING this to Jack at best, and he literally refers to it as a gift too)

Davetrap still sees Jack as Henry.

Davetrap's WHOLE character is about the part that got the most fucked up by henry, the part that can't let go.

The part that still sees Jack as Henry's vessel.

Notice in which suit Dave springlocks Jack.

It's Henry's. Henry's suit.

And that's when everything goes into a full circle.

For Davetrap, at that instant its all coming together.

Him and Henry, reaching vegas, reliving the golden days, filling the empty hole inside of him.

But all that ends up being in vain.

That's when we get the plot twist that Dave can't actually feel anything bla bla bla lobotomy bla bla bla realizes all of Henry's bullshit bla bla bla yknow the slack

Oh and Flipside Dave, in doggo's words, is as Dave when he was a child, aka no lobotomy, just lies fed to him, thats why he turns against Herny so easily.

Ok, so I just finished dsaf3 "good ending" and... what the fuck. Just to make things straight I accually replayed it 2nd time now, because 1st time was few hours ago, in the morning with no sleep so my brain was almost turned off, so ending seemed, not really interesting, nor emotional, at least not as much as innternet maked it seem, so that's why I just replayed it from last save (I just woke up so brain working just finey) and OH MY GOD WHO LET THIS MAN COOK? Like I've gotta say, I thought that I was "crying" hard over "evil route" (because honestly it not really made me cry but rather left me sad as fuck and not knowing what to do with myself), but holy shit after this thing I genuelly was in front of screen crying like a little fuckin baby (and stil left not knowing what to do with myself). I don't really think any game ever made me cry this hard, nah I bet I could say any piece of media. Gosh even now I want to cry again. Anyway I honestly was suprised that part that mostly break me was not the after battle with henry on flipside, but rather, at the end just thos tumbstones and all. Maybe because it all just cumulated at the end, I dunno. Honestly it's surelly gotta be for me one of thos games, for which I wish I could erase my memory, just to expirience them once more for first time. Closest to this might be when I'll finally get out of phase for it, for a longer time, just to replay entire serie again. Gotta say that arter palying all mayor routes from all 3 games (+ quite a few smaller ones) this serie surelly jumps into "fave games" category, right under portal2 (which is hightest place a game for me can go, because srry, but I hold very nostalgic connection for portal, and even if I'll find a game that I'll like more, thare's just like, I dunno a part of me saying "nostalgia at first place" so I can do shit about it), and that means I really fckn enjoyed it, because for now my faves only had "tier one (AKA. portal2)", and "tier two" wich was rest of my fave games, and now it has tier one (still the same), tier two which now include dsaf and tier three which is rest of faves (and if someone's interested "how much games are then here rn in total", answear would be... lemme check, It's five games in total on my fave list or more like "tha ultimate fave ones", and it's not because I play not many games, but rather that I rarelly find games that strike me in the way that, I don't know how to put it into words.
