it’s kinda funny to me how that dumb scene in kiwami 1 of majima getting shot and left for dead in the harbor was basically just added as a half-assed way to explain majima not being around for a bit of the plot, but they accidentally(?) just made it seem like start of a chain reaction where majima ended up feeling slighted and heartbroken after being abandoned like that and then lashed out about it via smashing a big truck into the building kiryu was in. and yeah that isn’t inherently a romantic thing as-is but then they go and add the part where majima grabs a hostess and performatively hits on her as in-kiryu’s-face as possible, she says she’s already in love with someone, and majima lets her go immediately, no questions asked, making a big fucking point of it just to say see THAT kiryu? I appreciate when people are HONEST about their FEELINGS. people who won’t just BACKSTAB someone who CARES about them to save themselves. is that so crazy kiryu?? huh??? anyway make it up to me get down here and fight me right fucking now

Every Universe
"I love you." She uttered, barely above a whisper. "I love you in every universe."
"Do we end up together in every universe?" He asked.
"No," She replied, and the painful memories of those life times flashed behind her beautiful eyes as she reflected to the 'back then's. Yet, she smiled, "But I love you anyway, how could I not? My soul yearns for you, even before it had come to know you. It remembers, I remember."
"Does it hurt?"
She was silent for a moment, "A lifetime without you hurts more then a lifetime when we are not together."
"I love you." He blurts out unthinkingly, desperate. He reaches out for her hand, taking it and holds it in both hands in a grounding grip.
She looked down at their hands and smiled, relishing in the bitter sweetness. "I know." She confesses quietly. She held his hand tightly, trying to ignore the buzzing within her body- threatening to tear her apart atom by atom. "But you aren't mine. Not this time."

i've been meaning to post something about this since the first episode last week but shout out to wardrobe on Last Twilight for one of the best fake ear plugs i've seen in a show! it's hard to get the fake ones to give the right impression in the lobe since they're a front piece and a back piece that sit on top of the skin to simulate the jewelry that goes through the stretched hole but they've managed it well enough that i've been staring at various gifs and screenshots all week trying to decide if i thought they actually stretched Jimmy's lobe for this or not 🤣
but yeah they've put the pieces of this together tight enough to give a subtle little indent in the skin around the front, which simulates the way that a stretched hole is shaped as opposed to a regular piercing hole which tends to leave the lobe relatively flat, with any jewelry in it not impacting the surface of the skin much if at all.
besides photos of him taken since filming where he has nothing in his ear, the main tell that it IS fake is the fact that the shape of the lobe is still matching his other ear. being at the gauge he would need for a piece of jewelry that size would be probably either a 0 or 00 (8mm-9mm) and it would cause the edge of his lobe to change shape slightly, which it hasn't.
i know this is a weird detail to pay attention to but as a person with stretched lobes it caught my eye and it's nice to see someone get it right for once!

other than the immediate hilarity of 'we should just totally summon zodiark', I can't help think what would have happened if the events of eden had unfolded after ew. like the wol was consistently making every primal they remembered Worse and melding them together. so what I'm saying is we would have had to fight amon/fandaniel/hermes again but he would have been 1000x more annoying and had tentacles

Playing the dnd version of Red is actually interesting to me because the context of their memory loss (or... lack of context i guess) really informs how they view romance and relationships and how they choose to live their life once they do regain their memories, and ir facilitates a lot of character growth.
Red in the game never goes through an amnesiac period, so they've just got to content with the immense weight of all their desires suddenly being freed and fed by the party, vs their entire life of Torment And Bad Decision Making.
Basically what im trying to say is this bitch needs to get hit on the head.
