And ha, isn’t that the truth. His kid indeed. In the end, the general point of it all gets the best of him again. The fact that he used to run from something just like this back in the day. Ran and ran until he had nothing and no one left. Luckily, he’s not that man anymore. And he’s found out long ago that he does care about people after all.

“Now here’s the real shocker for you : people don’t have to be your flesh and blood to be allowed to care about you. And believe it or not, I do care about you and don’t want to see you get hurt. This right here?” he asks, gesturing at the shady surroundings they currently find themselves in. “This screams crawl out from under the rugs and hurt me! Trust me, I know what I’m talking about. So how about we stop it with the bullshit teenage drama and get outta here?”
