If it’s not too much of a bother could I request a Yan! Vincent, undertaker, Sebastian, Claude, (and maybe Joker) with a Neytiri! Reader from Avatar (2009) if you have not watched the first or second movie then you can decline this request if you wish.
Tumblr media
Neytiri Reader | Yandere Black Butler
Well if being 3 meters tall wasn’t enough to make you an oddity it’d be the blue skin and carrying a respirator around. You’re either the attraction of some side circus show or living as an outcast struggling to grasp the English language and bizarre culture:
Tumblr media
Vincent Phantomhive
“Oh, oh my–you’re a vision of beauty.”
He doesn’t fall immediately
Its a matter of interest
Of course, a blue sentient creature walking around is something The Queen most certainly has a problem with
And he most certainly can’t leave you to the whim of ill-fitted criminals
“How about you stay with me…you understand me, don’t you? I’ll give you a home.”
Eventually, fascination will turn into obsession as you continue to amaze him with every passing day
It kills him when he can no longer keep your existence a secret
But he’s going to try his hardest
“You’ll stay with me, won’t you? Even if it means burning with me, right?”
Tumblr media
Undertaker
“My my! Never ‘ve i seen a bean like you before. It be a feat to fit you for a coffin!”
You’re his latest case study
Even when threatened by your makeshift arrows he laughs
“My my! The rose has thorns!”
He does so enjoy seeing how you do things
Your inclination to nature and just all the nuances unfamiliar to him
But he finds the most enjoyment when you begin to be pursued
Either by avid mobs or determined showmen
He finds a newfound pleasure in eliminating them
“You all must be interested in coffins for yerselves. Its a shame I’m using all my wood for someone else.”
Tumblr media
Sebastian Michaelis
“Well young Master, you’ve already invited a giant demon hound into your home I doubt whatever they are will be that much of a stretch.”
Your anomaly status garners his interest as it does anyone
But he relishes in the knowledge he has of you
Especially beyond your basic respiratory needs
Your habits, the English words you understand, your inclination to nature
“I for one quite enjoy their presence. They're almost better behaved than you, young Master.”
It just the cherry on top that you happen to attract the perfect dredge to defeat feast upon
“Come on then, we must be done by dinner.”
Tumblr media
Claude Faustus
“Oh dear, must I care for another than your highness.”
It’ll be Alois’ interest rather than his own
Set to watch you learn the world as Alois presents it
Not on his watch
“Here when you drink, hold it like this…saying this now I realize that you’re hands dwarf the silverware. My apologies.”
You become an outlet
A blank slate he can enjoy be in the company of
When his plans are set in motion he’ll be sure to put you in a role he appreciates
“Now all you have to is stand still and play your part. The one I want for you”
Tumblr media
Joker
“...Don’t I know just the place for you!”
He’s thrilled to add you to his circus
Only realizing that you're not as animalistic when threatened
“H-hey! Don’t get cross with me, this is just a precaution!”
When you two find a rhythm he discovers his hatred
His hatred of others wonder
He wanted to be the only one to give you that
So as long as you’re still oblivious he’ll begin restricting you
Locking you away as soon as the curtains close
“Come now Sapphire, we need your rest. Most of all.”

Everyone knows that Dream of the Endless has a self-destructive streak a mile wide and that he's prone to punishing himself and self-sabotaging to such and extent that most mortals can't comprehend.
Somehow Dream gets it into his head that instead of punishing himself, he should ask Hob to do it instead. Of course, he never does something so straightforward as asking, no, he basically attempts to goad Hob into punishing him by acting like a brat, but while Hob is considering this fun and games, Dream sees this as his rightful punishment for whatever he happens to be feeling guilty about. Which isn't exactly very healthy, but hey, it's kind of working. The perpetual guilt he carries around isn't quite so heavy anymore.
Eventually Hob gets it out of Dream what was going on and makes him talk about it. They sort out a way for Dream to get his emotional release in a way that is slightly healthier than before. Now Hob actually makes Dream spell out whatever it is that's bothering him before they do anything, so Hob can decide if Dream is being fair or not to himself and so can figure out a proper punishment. Dream never thought he would ever be free from the constant guilt for things that both were and weren't his fault, but here he is
AHHH yeah this is very Dream behaviour.
I feel like Hob would be so sad and upset to know that Dream has been using him essentially as a paddle to beat himself with. How could Hob be a proper dom and provide good aftercare when he didn’t know the full extent of the situation? And of course Dream then immediately hates himself for making Hob feel sad and bad and he nearly disappears, but Hob manages to yank him back and sternly tells him to stay. They’re Talking About This. And it’s not optional.
Now Dream has to use his words and tell Hob exactly why he wants a punishment. Sometimes Hob outright says no - that Dream doesn’t deserve any kind of retribution for a particular situation and Hob isn’t going to punish him. Instead they have cuddles and slow love-making, and Dream generally has to agree that Hob was probably right.
And sometimes Hob does punish Dream. He absolves him. Sits him down in the ‘naughty corner’, smacks his arse, edges him until he sobs. And then he tells Dream that it’s okay. It’s all over, he’s served out his punishment and he was so brave and good. Now it’s a new blank slate - time for a snack and a bubble bath.
It works, and Dream is more at peace than he ever has been. He’s happy and empty and free. And Hob loves him so much.

I just recently got into the submas Fandom and people kept telling me about Emmet x Volo being bad and toxic.
But when I looked into it, all I saw was your art of them and some. And it's not toxic at all??? What are people talking about?
You show them so nice and healthy wholesome together. It actually makes me interested in that ship.
Is that wrong of me? I just think your art of them is pretty neat.
Maybe more people should see how you show their relationship and stop not letting people have nice things.
hey there! first of all, welcome to the fandom! :D hopefully you'll have a great time! and I can do my best to explain this from my perspective at least. or... at least from what I've experienced/seen. (sorry, this will probably end up being long ;;) so to preface, it's not wrong of you at all to be interested in the ship! Emmet and Volo themselves have had zero interactions with each other in canon up to this point, so their interactions/relationship/etc are a blank slate, free real estate sandbox that's up to one's imagination and fanon interpretation. there's nothing inherently wrong about putting them together because they have no dialogue between them or anything that can be referenced as "this is how they would go together, this is how they would interact because it's been established that way in this game or piece of media". all we've got is their dialogue and individual personalities that we can glean from official sources (i.e. Pokemon Masters EX, the Pokemon Special manga and BW/BW2 for Emmet and Legends Arceus for Volo). really the only thing that "connects" Emmet and Volo is Ingo ending up in Hisui. and the reason I say this "connects" them is because a popular theory is that Ingo being sent to Hisui was a direct result of Volo having Giratina open the rift to try and drive Arceus out. but none of this is actually ever stated in canon, I believe. (also when I've seen some people talk before about this theory, there's basically this implication that Volo did it out of malicious intent, as if he knew he was going to bring Ingo specifically to Hisui by doing it and...? I'm so sorry, but no, I just cannot get behind this at all. Volo's sole purpose of getting Giratina to open up the rift was to drive Dialga and Palkia mad in order to bring Arceus from out of hiding - that's literally what he says in the game's dialogue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I highly doubt that he had any idea as to who Ingo was at all before he met him at some point in Hisui for the first time). but yeah. i only bring this up because it's kinda what I think started the idea of Emmet and Volo interacting at all? maybe not exactly, I can't remember because it's been too long and I both don't remember and wasn't too directly involved when all of this started. but essentially Emmet and Volo even being considered interacting kinda revolved around this idea that Emmet is looking for Ingo, finds out that Volo was the reason for the rift that caused Ingo's disappearance, and that now leads me into the part of why I think the ship is seen as toxic. so. the main reason I'm pretty sure that people say that the ship is toxic is because of how much a lot of early art/works portrayed it (based on what I just explained above). and it's totally fair. because admittedly it did start out with some violent aspects and really just Emmet doing things I personally don't think he would ever do. for example, beating the crap out of Volo for being the reason Ingo disappeared. Emmet being violent in order to demand answers for the sake of getting his brother back. etc, etc. and this really put a bad taste in people's mouths because it really just cast Emmet in a bad light. that, and it was a toxic, unhealthy portrayal of an enemies to lovers trope. and Volo was kinda portrayed as conniving/sneaky/manipulative/etc, and yeah. just things like that I think made popular for it ended up giving the pair a bad rep early on when Legends Arceus was still a popular topic (we're talking like... I dunno. late March into April and on of 2022? ...2022 was when PLA came out right?) honestly though? the beauty about a ship like this is that, as i said before, it's a completely blank slate. it's free real estate. you can portray it however you see fit because there's absolutely zero canon to base it off of (as far as the two characters themselves interacting with each other goes). it can be as wholesome as you want it to be. or it can be enemies to lovers. it can be rivals to lovers. it can be just two guys who happen to meet on the Battle Subway or in Gear Station and connect through a shared love of Pokemon/battling and develop a relationship that way. just because the ship itself maybe had the majority of its portrayal in the beginning as unhealthy doesn't mean it's forever bad, toxic and all around unsalvageable at this point. and while I certainly don't expect anyone who's perhaps uncomfortable or otherwise turned off from the ship because of its roots to suddenly turn around one day and warm up to it because it has potential to be portrayed in a wholesome or positive way, I also don't think it's very fair to blanket label the whole ship bad and toxic just for the fact alone that a lot of the early works for it were depicting a not-so-healthy relationship between the two. i mean that was like... two years ago at this point. things can change. anyway, this is getting long like I knew it would so I'll stop there XD I hope this at least maybe gives some context as to why the ship is seen that way by some? but at the end of the day there's no canon official way to portray it. it has potential to be healthy! and there's nothing wrong about being interested in it. that's just my two cents on it :D
and lastly, thank you so much! it really warms my heart to hear that you think my art of them is pretty neat! I really do want to draw more for them, just... you know. time and motivation 😅 but hopefully I can do something again for them soon!

Y'know the thing about writing feral/unhinged versions of Orion/Optimus, is that you can't go too far into the feral/unhinged direction to a point where OP's core character traits are lost or become too diminished. After all, in a multiple-continuity franchise like TF, part of what makes the stories make sense is that even if details change (sometimes major details), the characters are still recognizably themselves to one degree or another. (Although this isn't always the case due to executive meddling or some characters being such blank slates from their initial G1 appearances that there's basically nothing to model them off of, but I digress.)
It's pretty much another reason why I love IDW1 Optimus, bc he literally is a canonical feral/unhinged Optimus who's unhinged as a direct consequence of who he is as a person and what he's been through. Like, he still has those fundamental character traits of trying his best to be moral and make good choices, trying to be a role model, etc, except after 4 million years of war and untreated depression he's basically holding onto his sense of self by his fingertips. So when he "goes feral" e.g. losing his temper and beating up/killing people or saying hurtful things, he's feral in a way that's directly tied to his normal personality and not just as a random quirk he has.
IDW OP's feral moments arise from the gaps between "Optimus' attempts to be who he thinks he needs to be" and "the reality of the world that he can't fix/seems to only make worse" that cause him to lose hope, or become cynical, or lose his temper. But in this case, the unhinged-ness makes perfect sense because it arises out of Optimus trying and failing to be the best person or to make the most morally good choices he's trying to make. Basically, the "feral/unhinged" label is just another way of me trying to say that he's not just unhinged because he's weird or because he's a bad person, but because it's an emotional reaction (more like an emotional explosion due to pent-up emotions) to the context he exists in.
I'd also say that IDW OP's personality being generally reserved/stoic and (trying to be) noble works in tandem with those moments he has of going feral because it makes him more realistic. His psyche is treated in a way where the writers are like, "Hey what if the pressure of having to be everyone's idol and be the best person in the galaxy at all times actually broke Optimus down mentally and emotionally?" It makes IDW OP far more relatable. Instead of naturally being a perfect Christ-like figure who never wavers in his morals or convictions and is just naturally a nice person who always has the wisest and best answer, being a good person is something that IDW OP has to consciously strive to be. Even when he feels like it's useless, or the cycle of violence will never stop, or any attempts he makes to help only ends up with things becoming worse.
And I feel like this does a service not only to IDW Optimus as a character, but also as a sort of moral/philosophical perspective for the reader to ponder upon? I feel like culture at large (or at least my experience of it) tends to believe that "goodness" in a person is simply an innate feature that people are born/not born with, and that being "good" means that you must be good at all times, both in your actions as well as the way you feel emotionally about yourself and the world. Like, there's a tendency for our vision of "a good person" to be good in every aspect at all times without having to try to be a good person. So I think IDW Optimus' character stands as a good example of how someone can be good at heart but still struggle to maintain those feelings of optimism and hope and justice. It's a good idea to have such a paragon of a character (in-universe and out-of-universe) be so conflicted and to even be mistaken, misguided, or make things worse because it shows that goodness is as much about "trying to behave/act in a way that is good" and not just "existing as an innately good person."
It's way more realistic for a person to want to be good, try to be good, and sometimes/often fail than it is for them to just be a good person. I enjoy the fact that IDW Optimus is both a good person at heart, but also has to strive to be a good person and live up to other people's expectations of what they see in him. I like how he wants to be a good person and change society for the better, but he also spends a good amount of time either feeling hopeless and alone or being angry at/detached from other people because of how frustrated they make him. He's realistically portrayed as someone who wants to be good and hopeful and change things for the better, but is also mentally and emotionally broken by that burden because of how impossible it is for him to Fix Everything and be the Perfect Prime/Leader/Autobot that people see him as. It's this fascinating mixture of "yes, this is who he is as a person" but also "there are things he desires to be that he could never possibly become or live up to."
This got really far off based from feral/unhinged Optimus sdklfjaslkdlfkas. The TLDR is that if people want unhinged OP, I feel like they should give IDW OP a chance because he IS unhinged but he's unhinged in a way that's a realistic/thematic representation of how being an Absolute Good is impossible. And how being a good person isn't just about Existing And You Are A Good Person, but rather goodness is a constant state of flux in which you adjust, you make mistakes, you lose your temper and feel hopeless, but then you pick yourself up and try again.
Tumblr media
Also IDW OP really likes climbing in dangerous wilderness and jumping out of flying vehicles which I think is very feral and sexy of him to do.
#squiggposting#idw op love#idk if i adequately explained it in the body of the post. but i really do feel some kind of way about the idea of like#being a good person isn't about just being static. always being the same person. just naturally being good and nice all teh time#but rather being a good person will cause you to be CHALLENGED and being a good person calls you to ACT#and you WILL make mistakes. there's never a situation in which you're all wise and always have the right solution or are infinitely patient#but goodness is something you can CHOOSE something you can BECOME and you can still have negative emotions and CHOOSE to be good#like being a good person is a continuous process of self improvement. you aren't just born a good person#and i'm not trying to tear down the notion of 'goodness' or say it doesn't exist#rather i'm trying to say that it's far more comforting to hear that you don't have to be The Best Person at all times#it's comforting to know that good people aren't just Effortlessly Good because they were Just Born That Way Naturally#there certainly are some people like that but most of us aren't like that. and i just like idw op for that reason#he shows that like. you can be a fucked up mentally ill guy who despairs and loses his temper and is basically suicidal#but you also still genuinely try to be hopeful and try to help others. like you are good because you Try To Be Good#and you Try To Hold Onto Your Principles bc giving up or becoming evil isn't an option for you#but also trying to be A Good Person drives you fucking crazy bc we live in a universe where that perfect good simply isn't possible#so the result is an optimus who's at once Noble Paragon and Unhinged bc he's unhinged as a result of trying to be a paragon

Gave my unicorn Tav, Iluatria (Lua for short), an update. I'm a The Last Unicorn hoe.
Her lore:
Lua was a unicorn who lived on the coast before an old dying wizard made a deal with a sea hag to capture her so he could force her into healing him and giving him more life.
He went to the local sea hag and had her help him capture and transform Lua (wild unicorns are notoriously difficult to capture otherwise). It worked obviously, but he betrayed the hag and killed her (who cursed him to be killed by his own folly soon enough, aka Lua).
He basically had her captured Calliope style in the Sandman, trying to persuade/intimidate/force her to give him power but she refused because it’s not something that can be taken. He gets drunk one night and tries to take it by force (by sawing her horn off which would kill her) and she instead impales him with her horn.
She then returns to where her sisters and brothers are like “hey, help me turn back” but then they said they can’t and that’s when Selûne is like “actually I’m going to need you to investigate Moonrise/the Absolute cult that’s forming and then I can turn you back”, so then Lua is forced to investigate which is then when she gets captured and tadpoled.
Since the gods were already sending their clerics and agents to check out what’s happening, Selûne would be like “actually this works in our favor for a bit” and is taking advantage of the situation.
I imagine Lua got nerfed a bit when she was transformed, then the tadpole nerfed her the rest of the way.
She knows she’s a unicorn (horn makes it obvious) but her memories of her life as a unicorn are starting to fade and the more connections she makes in her new form, the more she loses her old self. I’m using it as a form of meta too, since Tav is such a blank slate and feels like they didn’t exist before the events of the game, this is my meta of her literally being a new person.
She’s old, like older than Raphael old, but since I’m stealing so much from TLU, to quote Prince Lir, “she has a newness”.
She was a unicorn under the service of Selûne specifically, and she helped guide sailors and lost souls home along the coast. Keeping with the sea and navigation themes.
She’s not only trying to remove the tadpole but also trying to return to form before she “loses herself” forever. But of course she makes connections and once she and Astarion fall for each other, it’s when she has to make a decision. His spawn route is him deciding to try living again with his old self dead and buried, and with her it’ll be deciding to let her old self die as well.
She doesn't get on with Gale at first because she thinks wizards are selfish and power hungry but over time they become friends and they have interesting discussions around magic.
Right now her goal is “yes, I want to go back, this form is unnatural and torture” but she’ll start to develop an independent sense of self that starts to overtake her old self.
She’ll always have natural grace and beauty, but that ethereal otherworldliness will disappear over time.
While she's in this form she can feel her immortality and old self fade and it horrifies her but once she falls in love with Astarion she eventually comes to accept her new life. My end goal is at the end of the game, she chooses to use what's left of her powerful unicorn healing magic to cure Astarion of his vampirism. Her horn disappears and she's made fully mortal (as an elf) and they live their new lives together.
It's a cheesy idea but Selûne takes their souls (since Corellon won’t have him), and then they get reincarnated as unicorns. They’re essentially new people again, the way reborn souls are, but they find each other again and mate for life once more. And now he gets to be a unicorn; wild beauty, grace, and never again tamed too.
It’s super romantic and cheesy but sometimes I be a sucker for that.
And I do like the idea that Astarion, (who he himself and most people see as used, dirty, and corrupted), is actually seen as worthy enough and loved by a being in universe as pure as they come. And there’s an innocence in his passion for life that would attract her.

Thoughts about Undertale Yellow
Greetings, I just returned from binging through Undertale Yellow, True Pacifist Route specifically, and am seeking a place to let out some thoughts (and steam). It's the first time I'm doing this type of "review" on my blog, but since my thoughts on it are quite strong, I thought, "hey, why the heck not"? Spoilers for the game and its ending ahead, fellas. Buckle up.
First off, let me begin by stating that, for the most part, I had a blast playing through it. The music is amazing, the boss themes real bangers, the environmental ones great as well. My favorite track was the OST that played in the Dunes: a really catchy western vibe with Flowey's theme in it as well, an earworm that filled me with Determination while running through the sandy fields. Then we have a beautiful pixel art style, gorgeous sceneries, great gameplay with challenging and fun boss fights (side note: although I couldn't fully appreciate Ceroba's fight since it had a couple pretty much unavoidable attacks. Or is it just skill issue on my part? Anyway, that part annoyed me more than it should have. Moving on, lmao.)
Furthermore, the game also has charming characters! They are the ones that kept me going and really ignited my interest. Not gonna lie, it took me until the town in the Dunes to become really invested in the game. Martlet is charming and cute, sure, but North Star and his gang, no, that guy specifically sold it for me. Charismatic, funny, very expressive sprites (well, all facial sprites are quite colorful, but it took me until North Star to appreciate/notice just how many there are for each character) and an interesting internal conflict with wanting to entertain others so they forget about the pain of being stuck underground, but at the same time being so absorbed in his persona that he temporarily acts like a douche towards his pals and forgets who he truly is. He also features my favorite joke in the game when he proudly proposes to the salesman that "he wants to buy a gun for the child". Freaking hilarious, love him, huehehue.
Story-wise, I was pleasantly surprised and taken aback by the dark twists of Ceroba and her husband Chujin. And I appreciated how the flashbacks got intigrated within her final boss fight. I don't know about you, but my biggest motivation to play RPGs are not just the gameplay, it's mainly the characters and the story. If the gameplay is amazing but the characters/plot boring, then I lose interest quickly. To me, the real rewards of a tough battle are story progression and seeing just what the characters will do next. Therefore, I greatly enjoyed the breaks between Ceroba's phases in which we saw parts of her backstory. They even made me cry!
...Although, to be honest, I don't exactly understand why we had that insight into her mind in the first place. Why did we survive so many hits to the point of 0.00001 HP? Where's that coming from all of a sudden? Why did time stop at some point like Za Warudo? Maybe that random plot armor (that happened the first time and never again) is explained in another route, but anyway, moving on-
This review-style blog entry only exists because of the True Pacifist ending. I'll be blunt, I hate it. Why?
So it ends with Clover sacrificing their soul for the monsters so they can eventually break free. Which is fine on its own. Clover is for the most part a blank slate of a character, only driven by their desire to seek the lost humans, that's basically it. Maybe it would have made a bit more sense for Clover to see an actual physical proof of their demise before they give up on them completely, but eh. I'm also wondering whether they are really okay with potentially another, possibly innocent human falling down sometime in the future only to get killed by the monsters. But oh well.
(You know, now that I think about it, I actually am a bit salty about Clover's decision to sacrifice themselves, lmao. Would've been kinda cool if it was up to the player, have another ending split.)
Anyways, the issue I'm having is how our cast of supporting characters, Martlet, North Star aka Starlo and Ceroba react to Clover's decision. They are shocked first, but... agree surprisingly quickly?? What?? Excuse me, the entire hassle we went through to get to this point was to stop Ceroba from taking Clover's soul. Now with Clover volunteering to sacrifice themselves, the gang is cool with it??
Of course they don't agree immediately, but are easily swayed within a few arguments back and forth. Man, what friends you are, guys. The reason I'm having this pet peeve in the first place is because we as the human, who has known these guys for just a day, did a lot for them, alright? They all tried to kill us at one point, but we took the beating, the hard battles, forgave them and were there for them during their internal conflicts. We were a pretty decent friend, if I may say so.
Especially with Ceroba! We did a lot to change her mind and path of self-destruction! Yet our so-called friends don't put in the same amount of effort when it comes to convincing us otherwise- or heck, use force if you must- get Clover away from there, lmao. Wouldn't it have been an interesting act of redemption on Ceroba's part, by the way, if she tried to stop us? Being touched by our mercy and refusal to give up on her, she does the same for us?
I suppose the reason I am so baffled by all this is because of Clover being a blank slate, the player character really felt like me, like I was going through the journey and not like I was controlling another character. It felt like my decision to spare them all, to talk to them and wanting to get to know them better. So the group of characters I have really grown to like giving up on me within about a minute of back-and-forth just felt... wow. Thanks, guys.
If I compare it to Undertale's True Pacifist in which every important supporting character gathers up after the confrontation with Asgore, all agreeing with the decision of me, the player, staying in the Underground with them, then oh boy, it really stings. Just would've been a cool, wholesome sign of friendship if Martlet, Starlo and Ceroba decided that "nah, even for the surface, we won't give up on Clover". By the way, in this game, we don't even really get to see why the monsters want to return to the surface so badly. They keep saying they want to, but what are the reasons exactly? More freedom, I suppose. Yet by expanding the Underground with the Dunes, the Mines, the Factory, and some of Snowdin, the Ruins and New Home, their habitat seemed so much larger than in the OG game- What I wanna say is, their desperation should've been shown way more instead of told, so the player can understand the monsters' aspiration better.
The thing is, it's a shockingly easy issue to fix if you really want "the canon ending" with Clover ending up dead and their soul taken: have Clover still have their moment of doubt and realization, remembering what the monsters told them throughout their journey. Then they go to Asgore with their gang, hoping to convince him. It doesn't work out, so Asgore starts a fight. During the battle, Clover realizes it's useless to fight back, it's better to have their soul taken for the monsters, so they allow Asgore to kill them. Their friends are not powerful enough to stop him. There ya have it.
Siiiiigh. Is it just me, being annoyed by that ending? As a whole, the finale felt a little... rushed? Was New Home always meant to be so empty? Is it to build up atmosphere? Yet there were two silly NPCs in the first screen of New Home, making me assume that maybe, there was another plan originally? (If it has been stated in a devlog or any other comment by the creators, then I apologize, I haven't read those fully.)
Anyways, if I didn't care about the game, this rant wouldn't even exist in the first place. I was really invested in the game until the ending just left me... kinda sad, not gonna lie. It will take me a while to process it all.
If you got this far, then thanks for reading. Am I the only one feeling this miffed about the ending? I might go back and edit this post if I find out there are things to be corrected. Buuuut as of now, happy holidays!

Hey! Idk if this still interests you or not but I saw your post saying Richtofen isn’t a n@zi
I also believe this and have done a lot of research but I think I have trouble with finding sources as I haven’t been able to find anything that shows that he is against fascism + hates it, which makes it difficult to argue that he isn’t one when talking to others about it.
Do you have proof or some sort of instance that either states or hints towards this that could help with the argument that he is against n@zis?
I’d appreciate any info you give!
Hello anon! Oh wow It has been a hot second since I've Codsed my Zombies. I'm not sure how much you know already. So I'll just go down the list of things I remeber! And i'll make this a bit beginner freindly, just in case anyone needs to show this to someone.
Also feel free to add to it!!! Or feel free to point out if I misspoke it HAS been a bit...
1) For starters, although the lore reason for Richtofen's outfit is unknown (most anything i could say here would be pure speculation and HC), we do know that he was originally just a re-used asset from the main game. He comes from the villian character Heinrich Amsel. When COD Zombies (previously Nazi Zombies) first started out, all the characters were blank slate re-used and slightly recolored assets. They ofc later gave them all names and stories (although testing the waters at first, a lot of early story got ret-conned. Such as Richtofen being a back ally surgeon.) But they unfortunately never re-designed him outside of removing the swastika :( but I also belive it's important beacuse I feel like it's one of the only things ppl bring up when the try and say Richtofen is a nazi, and I feel like it holds no weight beacuse of these things.
(Here is Heinrich Amsel. As u can see, clearly where Richtofen's original model comes from.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2) lore stuff is dificult to pile evidance for due to how the lore in the game itself is presented. If you want the freshest and best sources (aside from meticulously beating every easter egg and finding all the secrets) YouTube videos with the quotes/Easter eggs/secrets are your best bet aside from going in game and grabbing them yourself. I can't particularly remeber what exsact maps may be able to help you. Aside from Classified!
It's just generally a real important part of the basic lore that Richtofen isn't a Nazi and hates them. It's kinda what kicks off....everything that happend. Im sure anyone could get this information from any reliable Cod Zombies lore video (i uhhh don't know which ones are reliable i haven't watched any! Probably check out Mr.RoflWaffles?). For starters, Richtofen was always a spy. He worked for the Illuminati before Maxis asked him to join Group 935, and Richtofen only joined so he could feed information back to the Illuminati. It's also important to note that Group 935 was not originally associated with Nazis. Maxis made a deal with the nazis without anyone's permission (funding and test subjects in exchange for weapons and super soldiers.) And that was one of many things that pissed Richtofen off so badly that he gathered everyone up to make a secret section of Group 935, that both worked with the allies, and planned on killing off Maxis. (Ofc his goal was later shifted and corupted by the Apothicons. But this is about how Richtofen isn't a Nazi, not questioning him as a dubious person. There was also all of the moon shit, Maxis not caring about Richtofen's experiments, a whole boat load of resons that Richtofen wanted that man dead.)
(Also. Richtofen never fought in ww2 and ww2 is already over by the time the zombie breakout happens.)
Here is a link to the Film Reels in Classified, many of which talk about how Richtofen was working against Maxis (and the nazis) and even has some verbal confirmation from Richtofen about his distaste for nazis.
youtube
Also here is also the Kronorium! As far as I know, it should still be a reliable sorce! (Like i said, it's been a while). And I think it's a bit better than the wiki (which still says his nationality is nazi german...instead of just saying he's german....) there is plenty of stuff in the interactive book that explains
https://kronorium.com/
2) here are some instances of his voice actor, Nolan North, confirming that he isn't a Nazi! (Thank you @jamieaiken919 for digging these up for me!!!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And did that's kinda all I have for now! Like I said anyone is free to add!

Big ol doodle dump with some boys and my girl Hannei Kugutsu! Think I got a solid enough thing to start posting her
So uh I’ll go into detail another day but basically her concept is “hey what if yaldi had his own morgana to keep an eye on the wildcards” and that’s hannei, she has no idea because as far as she knows she’s a human who lost her memory do to being partly distorted in mementos, she ran into akechi and has clung to him since (this is when he first got persona powers)
As anyone who translates her name might guess, she is a blank slate, her purpose is to ‘reflect’ the wildcards and their confidants. In turn she picks up traits and slowly figures herself out as a person. Also do to this reflection she gets a persona each from akechi and akira thoigh id call it more of a sophie situation at first, she properly awakens to them after having an arc with each of them.
Also since she finds akechi first you can imagine how well reflecting this walking disaster of a kid goes so uh yeah.
Akechi is the focus here though, because this also doubles as my desperate attempt to get goro akechi to choose to live. And the start is seeing a bit too much of himself in this weirdo he found in mementos and sees her starting to spiral like he did and she is way too into the idea of being his accomplice in black mask bs and basically goes ‘fuck you the only one aloud to self destruct here is me!” And thus the arc begins!
Also she insisted on calling akechi her cousin as soon as she learned about family and akechi just has to deal with that it’s great sure do hope he doesn’t get attached and have a found family arc with this weirdo that will take like three years to culminate into a dramatic scene haha anyways
If anyone wants to know more ask box is open, oh also her personas are Zenigata and Fenrir, probably won’t be hard to guess which protags persona they’re supposed to reflect

screw it, i'm talking about my Dsaf Warriors au anyway.
alright, slight worldbuilding stuff:
clans aren't exactly permanent. like, even the more permanent-ish ones shift and change a lot of the time.
^ slightly related, clans having actual leaders (nine lives and all) is now incredibly rare.
most groups in the forest are either small bands of rogues/loners or traveling groups of families and friends.
you can generally tell who is a Clan Descendant by their names and how they talk.
you've basically got Normal Starclan (doesn't really have actual souls and is more ruled by a council who makes all the decisions; will gladly revive young-ish cats if asked, on the condition that the cat in question will have amnesia, and will basically be turned into blank slates (this is the closest i could get to Phone Guys)), Fredbear's Side of Starclan aka The Flipside (where kits and elders typically end up, although he works to try and drag more souls there so that they can actually rest), and the Dark Forest/Void (a Lot of souls end up here, typically because the cats here died young/were murdered and want vengeance/want to avenge another family member/have general unfinished business)
souls also work funky. some souls have stars in their pelts while others appear shadowy, with their wounds visible. kits always have tear tracks running down their face, regardless of how their pelts show up. if a kit has a shadowy pelt...that's generally a sign that something...really fucking bad happened to them when they died. like a murder. that they're pissed about.
The Real Fredbear is a ghostly Labrador Retriever.
the main clan that's important to lore stuff right now is Bearclan (Fredbear's)
so, here's everything up to Henry being dragged into the void. enjoy (warnings for animal violence and animal death):
so, we start off with a cat named Rosesight (Henry; name is based off the fact that he's pink. also, it's a reference to the saying "rose-tinted lenses." i'll let you figure the rest out from there). he's basically the leader of Bearclan, right? started out as a kittypet (regular house cat, for those unaware), eventually worked his way up here.
one day, some cats in his clan go "hey man, uh, we've been smelling a fox around the territory, uh, it's been moving around a lot?? like it knows we'll be checking around its den sites?? could you go check it out??" and he goes "ugh fine you're all fucking idiots guess i'll deal with this too since you're all incompetent 🙄"
so he decides to stake out around one of the den sites, believing the fox to either be hiding out in this one or might try to move into this one the next morning. when the next morning comes, he hears shuffling around in the den, and only a few moments later, he comes face-to-face with a black fox with a collar around its neck.
(why is Dave a fox, you ask? well, we know, canonically speaking, that Dave's not a human, and that he's a cryptid. so, i decided to make Warriors!Dave a different animal instead of a cat. i feel like he gives off fox vibes)
Rosesight is about to attack this poor guy, given that he seems clearly surprised and wasn't expecting any visitors, until the fox starts...talking to him? wait, how the fuck-?
the fox, with what few words in cat he can speak, introduces that his name is William, and that he's been following his clan for several months, and that he wants to join. it seems that he was smart enough to know that walking up to a bunch of cats in the middle of the woods, who typically have to worry about foxes as a legitimate danger, was probably not going to end well for him.
so...what's our beloved fox friend doing here? why does he have a collar for? well, long story short: imagine Todd from The Fox and the Hound, but if he were kicked out into the forest after only about a month. that's sort of the situation we're dealing with here.
Rosesight goes "eh, why not? i could use extra help with my Plans™" William just goes "ooo free home! :D free family!! :D"
what are Rosesight's Plans™, you might ask? basically to Hack Death (he wants to kill enough kits that basically neither side of the afterlife wants him, and thus will just do whatever they can to keep him alive. which. That's Definitely Not Fredbear's Plan! He Wants That Fucker Dead So He'll Stop Causing Problems!)
Rosesight refuses to give William a proper warrior name, something that upsets him. he does, however, tear his collar off. Clan Cats Don't Wear Collars, After All (he definitely doesn't tear the collar off in a painless way, either).
eventually, Rosesight comes up with a plan to kill William by luring him over to a fox trap and letting it kill him. why? he doesn't think that William's exactly...helpful. besides, he's worried that if he tries to have William as a partner in his Child Murder Plans, that others will find out William was involved and immediately blame him for even allowing him in the clan to begin with. a good chunk of Rosesight's plan involves others trusting him, so this can't happen.
long story short: William died, repossessed himself before Starclan could intervene with literally anything, and then just kinda went about his life like nothing happened. Rosesight was intrigued by this, and decided to keep William around. maybe he could get William involved with his kit murders. he just needs to make sure he's prepared first, and won't screw anything up.
it's at this point we now get introduced to three (technically four) new cats: Redpatch (Peter), Tangerinetooth (Jack), and Heartkit (Dee). also technically Caroline, Redpatch's kittypet mate that he kinda sorta went to live with. the trio were a family of Clan Descendants, and they just kinda chill.
Heartkit and Tangerinetooth live in an abandoned, run down barn in a field on the edge of Bearclan's territory.
Heartkit is between 3.5-4 moons (months). she's rather young, but she's been weaned. for a kit her age, she is quite capable of caring for herself. okay...maybe she still needs assistance, given she is Basically A Baby, but you get the idea.
Rosesight, who Really doesn't like Tangerinetooth and doesn't want him in or around the territory, Wakes Up One Day And Chooses Violence (< is about to kill a man's sister to hopefully drive him out)
William Doesn't Want Him To Choose Violence (< grew close to Tangy and his sister, and really doesn't want to help kill Heartkit)
Heartkit Gets Kidnapped And Murdered By The River. Rosesight steals the ribbon tied around her neck and leaves her body there.
Tangy finds her body after waking up and noticing she was missing, buries her, and gets understandably pissed about the fact that she was murdered.
he decides to hunt Rosesight down to kill him, but unfortunately Rosesight is several steps ahead, and lures out a stray dog to maul him to death.
Fredbear revives him, but his soul, going by the name Blackjack, roams the Earth, following Rosesight and William around to hopefully drag one or both of them into the Void.
Heartkit, now a shadowy spirit, realizes that she can now guide other dead kits to The Flipside. she also begins to follow William and Rosesight, hoping to either rescue kits from being murdered, or to guide their souls to the afterlife. sometimes she succeeds in saving them, usually luring them off until Rosesight and William leave under the guise of going off to play a game or to try and get help.
Rosesight also just kinda. repeatedly kills William. mostly by strikes to the head or around it. this starts to fuck William up mentally.
Rosesight runs into two cats on his Murder Adventures: Burntpelt (Steven; i can't think of names) and Redpatch. both of them witness him kill kits, try to stop him and get killed. Starclan brings 'em back, as blank slates, and they stay with the respective clans they were found by. Burntpelt gets his name changed to Clifffall (was found, barely conscious, by a cliff), and Redpatch is changed to Dogstrike (was also mauled by a stray dog. like his brother)
Rosesight tells William about his dead son, Violetkit. William, finally fed up of not having an actual warrior's name (and also, y'know, Very Fucked Up Mentally), decides to change his name to Violetsight, as a way of trying to make it incredibly clear that he wants to a) be taken seriously, and b) become Rosesight's son. Rosesight goes "What The Fuck" and just leaves him, going off on his own.
bad idea! because now Blackjack is dragging him into The Void!
so now we have Tangerinetooth, a Very Fucked Up Cat trying to save and release the souls of the dead kits, Violetsight, a Very Fucked Up Fox who's still committing kit murder, Heartkit trying to Also save and free the souls, Blackjack making sure Tangy stays on track, and Clifffall and Dogstrike, who have no memory of anything and are basically just doing what they've been told to do (run their respective Very Dysfunctional Clans).
and, of course, Rosesight deciding to cause Problems from the Void.
feel free to ask questions! this is just a very basic run down of the first half of the plot.

Fluffy Feb Day 16- Washing Hair [Breaking Up Slowly]
Tumblr media
Warnings: established relationship, description of case, mentions/description of blood, BAU reader, implication of mentions of sex
Pairing: Hotch x blank slate Fem!Reader (no use of y/n)
Word Count: 1281
A/N: This is the second Fluffy Feb blurb that is also part of the Breaking Up Slowly universe! Just like Day 14, this is set before the events of BUS
Having a broken leg, courtesy of chasing down an unsub in Kansas months ago, is officially the worst thing that’s ever happened to you in your time at the FBI.
Okay, maybe it’s not the worst thing, but it’s high on the list. A broken leg- even though it’s basically healed and your crutches and cast are a formality at this point- means you aren’t allowed to go out on the field. You’re resigned to staying at the local police station, a sitting duck with your thumb in your ass while your team performs a takedown of one of the most gruesomely violent unsubs you’ve seen in years on the farmland edge of city limits.
The girl has been imitating horror movies in October, making it impossible to chase after someone wearing a Michael Myers costume or a Scream mask in the days leading up to Halloween. Everyone in town has been buying costumes, walking around in them, and you can’t exactly ask civilians if the blood-spatter on their Freddy Krueger getup is real or fake.
All in all, you can’t wait to see her behind bars. You can’t wait to see her in cuffs, and you can’t wait to see your team again. Penelope warned you about how hard the waiting period always is before you left, but you didn’t think it was this excruciating.
After what feels like several hours, the precinct doors open. The chief of police is in front, leading a woman with her hands cuffed behind her back, and your team follows. One by one they file in, looking relatively unscathed if a bit worse for wear. When you see the blood spatters on Morgan, you frown. When you see the blood on Hotch, you gasp out loud and get to your feet.
Your partner of three years is covered in the stuff, a grimace of pain on his lips that he tries to school into a quick smile when he sees the concern written on your face. He shuffles over to you, semi-dried blood flaking and smearing under his hand when he tries uselessly to wipe it away.
“How’s the ankle?” He asks, and you see red- redder, because the love of your life has blood all over his face, drips of it on his suit and vest, and you don’t have to have 20/20 vision to see the gash on his forehead. Your mind races, trying to piece things together; profiling never works when you’re emotionally involved, but you still try.
It’s too much blood for a cut that small, it has to be coming from somewhere else, and you’re so panicked and infuriated that he would ask about you that you just smack his hand when he reaches for you before throwing yourself into his embrace, not caring at all about the blood transferring onto your white top or the LEOs staring at the two of you. “What the hell happened?” You demand when you pull away from him.
“Carrie,” he explains, starting to run a hand through his hair when a darker-than-usual lock falls in his eyes. He stops midway through like it’s matted, and his hand comes away bright red. “The pig blood scene. She put a bucket over the barn door, and it went flying when Morgan broke in. It was definitely pigs, though; there were some slaughtered out back.”
Relief floods you, straight to your bones, and your legs feel weak as the panicked adrenaline fades. “It’s not yours?”
Aaron winces like he doesn’t want to tell you this part. “She got me with a shovel,” he motions to the cut on his forehead, “Head and stomach before Prentiss tackled her. Most of it isn’t mine.”
“Are you okay? God, you’re covered,” you fuss, blotting uselessly at the red imprints covering the FBI logo on his vest.
“I’m okay. Hey,” He gets your attention with a hand covering yours, traces of red transferring to your skin, “I’m fine. Let’s just wrap up and get back to the hotel; I need a shower.”
—————
Once you’re back at the hotel, you join Aaron in the shower with plastic wrap covering your cast.  A lot of the blood rinses off of him right away, but there are still streams of water turning pink at his feet and he hasn’t put his face or hair under the water yet. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there,” you say softly, handing him the hotel body wash. “And sorry for losing it at the station.”
He just gives you a sad smile, and you wonder what exactly happened on the field today. Now isn’t the time to find out, though. “We’ll have a couple of days off when we get home,” he says instead, and you’re all too eager to follow this new train of thought. “What should we do?”
You hum thoughtfully as you coat your hands with shampoo. Aaron follows your guidance, tilts his head back to saturate his hair with water before he leans forward. Your hands work at the tangled mess, the shampoo mixing with blood and changing colour under your hands. When pink suds hit the floor of the shower, he squeezes his eyes shut like he doesn’t want to see it.
“Jack misses us. He really misses you,” you say. Your hands are rinsed, and you squirt more shampoo directly onto his head. “I’m sure he’ll want to go out.”
Aaron makes a noise in response, one that says, ‘I’m listening’ and ‘keep talking’.
“He keeps talking about this new dinosaur movie. He’s been begging Jess to take him, I guess, but she told him that we would want to see it too.” With one hand on Aaron’s chin, you maneuver his head under the water and rinse him before getting more shampoo. “I already checked, and it’s playing tomorrow night at that theatre near the apartment.”
“The one with the reclining seats,” Aaron murmurs, careful not to open his eyes or mouth too much lest he get soap in them.
“That’s the one.” When you rinse his hair a second time, the water runs clear so you start on his face with some of your cleanser. “Right near that Greek restaurant you like. I think we should all go out and have some family time.”
A smile graces the lips that you love so much, and Aaron ducks his face under the warm spray when you direct him to. “That sounds nice,” he finally says, and it doesn’t take a profiler to read the way much of the tension in his body has disappeared.
“I thought you’d like it. Okay, open.” Aaron wipes away excess water and his eyes flutter open, droplets clinging to his lashes. He’s squeaky clean with a slight cut on his forehead, all remnants of blood long gone down the drain of a shower you’ll never be in again, in a city you hope never to visit again. He’s smiling at you, relaxed and in love, and you’ve seen this image of him so many times that you could be in any shower in the world right now.
“Thank you, sweetheart.” He grabs the shampoo and steps out from under the water, turning it a little hotter as he does. “Alright. It’s your turn, and I’ll tell you all about what we’ll do tomorrow after Jack’s gone to bed.”
You can’t believe how lucky you are to love this man and have him love you in return. Neither of you is flawless- you know that for a fact- but you couldn’t be happier to build such a good life with him. Warts, pig’s blood, and all; you can’t imagine loving anyone else like this.

As my laptop dies, the quest for knowledge doesn't. Welcome to Episode 7 of (Waku) Puyo Extras. (Feat. A bit about a trope.)
Tumblr media
(At what point do we begin to feel bad for Schezo?)
Hey everyone, it's the dude who translates a niche video game for a living. As my laptop seizes to exist, my phone survives, and it's thankfully enough to do Waku Puyo Extras, as well as doing some stuff to work under Puyo Preservation as a proofreader.
As writing this, (September 25th-30), my laptop cannot run most things anymore, including what I use for translations, but I'm not the one to leave people in the dust. So rather, I decided to work on Extras because hey, I like writing these and people kinda enjoy these well.
I thought this time, with my inconsistent as all hell schedule, speak about these today:
Honey Bee. Weird pick, I know, but it could've been worse, and at least she's super hard carried by the Waku Puyo Manga. Plus, her origin is pretty interesting.
Something a little goofy. Schezo's "love life", or really, the people who chase[d] him around during the run of Puyo and Madou. That, and the trend itself in the games, since it goes even to Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.
As per the (Kinda) Dead Laptop Arc I'm going through, there are no videos for a good while.
And before we begin, I want to ask y'all a question:
Both will be covered but for a TLDR for people who dunno:
Serilly's Happy Birthday is a sorta Princess-Maker (Where you're basically raising a young girl, but in this case it's Serilly) game where you help plan Serilly's birthday on a week-to-week basis and invite people for her birthday. Gameplay itself I dont fully know myself, but I DO know that there are several endings to this game depending on who you decide to speak to and befriend.
Arle's Travel Log is a text-adventure game where Arle and Satan fight over Carbuncle and get blasted back in time, and Arle and Carbuncle trying to get past to the present. Game itself has some actual Madou Monogatari-like exploration, a point and click battle system, and features not only the Madou cast, but some actual historical figures and JUMP HERO, another series made by COMPILE.
This poll will last about a week. With this, I really hope you enjoy.
-----
So, What're Honey Bee's Origins?
Honey Bee's origin is kinda weird, similar to Kikimora. She first appears in a Disc System Daimadou Senryaku Monogatari, a turn based strategy game, as one of the "Units" Arle and her enemies can use.
Tumblr media
These are the rivals Arle can face, ranging from Easy on top, Moderate in middle, and Difficult on the bottom. Yeah idk how Witch or Zoh got into the Difficult status. Oh, and the tile on the very bottom right? That's where the final boss is...which is Rulue.
And on the bottom screenshot, you can see Archan and Kodomo as well, who also made their grand appearance here.
Tumblr media
Now you couldn't exactly pay me to tell you how the gameplay really works, but I do know that this game got a balance patch in form of another game. We getting the Street Fighter treatment for these. I'm thankful to even find gameplay, as another Disc Station game, Madou Sugoroku, I legit can't find any footage for.
...Maybe the next Extras will be about these game, I dunno.
-----
So Honey Bee herself had a kinda interesting origin, even though she was sorta a blank slate along with the rest who joined her. SUN didn't exactly do much better.
She first appears in Arle's route and comes down trying to stab Arle with her syringe. Arle dodges and says that what Bee just did was dangerous, but Bee chases her with the syringe. And on Schezo's route, she actually stabs Schezo, but his head must be made of steel because he thinks it's just his imagination and walks away.
Tumblr media
(The moment of the attack, 1996, Circa)
So not the best, but she got something, right?
Well. Waku Puyo blows everything out the water...in the manga.
BECAUSE HONEY BEE IS SO ANNOYING AS AN ENEMY.
She comes in and does a few things. Either poison you, lower your attack, or makes you sleep. When she's about at 1/3 of her HP, she retreats very quickly, which is more annoying than it sounds. She sounds evil in this game, man. So much so that my friend @kirstenonic05 made a nice little video about her experiences.
Here.
(Song used is Lying Coldy in Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth Investigations.)
Besides bosses, from my pals experiences, Honey Bee holds the distinct honor of being the most annoying enemy to fight.
So how does the Manga carry her?
It HEAVILY carries her, 90% of her personality as a whole is there to be honest.
We meet her in the first volume, and she says her goal quite clearly: To beat Schezo, even though she doesn't even know why she has to herself. Even Schezo's confused as hell.
Tumblr media
However, unlike Puyo SUN, she doesn't just attack the man outta nowhere. She gets one ACTUAL look at Schezo's face, and is flabbergasted by how pretty he is. (In this style of art? He's alright for the most part)
Tumblr media
After some shenanigans going around, what with Bee stabbing him and her getting smacked around because she's barely the size of Schezo's neck and head, decides that she's not gonna kill him, and rather join him for whatever cause he has because...Love I guess. Damn, love really does make people do crazy shit.
She then (To the dismay of Schezo) follows him around for a majority of the adventure, even helping him with fights occasionally, and being absolutely pissed when Incubus appears and tries to seduce Schezo.
I should mention here that Bee thinks that she and Schezo are husband and wife. Or at least "together". That's how many on Schezo?
Tumblr media
Now, if you've seen the Serilly Extras post, you know that she was also there with Schezo, but at the start, rather than try to help Serilly, who was manipulated by Satan to be there because he said he was her friend, try to attack her several times to know where the Orb was...only for Schezo to smack her aside several times.
Tumblr media
Thankfully, she got the memo and decided to help Serilly out, only to get upset when Serilly saves Schezo and he carries her bridal style, and also when Schezo says he'll visit again if he feels like it.
After Schezo gets possessed by Incubus (I'm not saying seduced. He full on got possessed,) Bee goes to Momomo, who then goes to Serilly for help and...yeah the manga ended there.
So yeah, that's Bee's importance in the manga. Quite a large one, but to Schezo, she's just another annoying admirer/person who loves him.
(If you came for the analysis, this ends here. Thanks for reading up to here, and enjoy my goofy ramble about a trope.)
-----
Speaking of Annoying Admirers/"Lovers":
Poor Schezo. Man's trying to live his life and just gets chased around by some of the oddest people out there, or in some cases, stuck with them. This has obviously not been the case for Modern Puyo, but back then? Oh boy. Lets cover that.
Let's start with the one from the manga itself, the one y'all JUST saw:
Honey Bee:
Frankly, Schezo got it rough if a Bee thinks they're married, when in-game, she's easily the most infuriating enemy out there excluding bosses. She frankly loves the dude, much to Schezo's anger. She sees other girls talking to him or whenever Incubus decides to be wacky as cheating, and gets really upset at that.
And that's not even including Serilly, where she tried to attack her over it...and also the orb but shhh, forget that. We forget them here quite often.
-----
Incubus
You may be wondering, "What does he do again?" and I'm glad you asked. Man spends the entire time chasing around Schezo trying to "Seduce" him and such, much to Honey Bee's dismay and chargin.
Though like any villain, he does have a reason. Y'see, the big thing about Waku Puyo is these orbs, the big shiny things that are important. Incubus wants those orbs, and when Schezo gets one from Serilly, he does possess Schezo for it. Love it or not, the guy had a fairly decent plan. I have to unfortunately respect it. Poor Bee, though.
Tumblr media
(Yeah, I forgot this happened, ngl.)
-----
Succubus:
Another one is Succubus. Now with this one, this is more due to things like, oh idk,
She's a damn Succubus. It's her job.
Incubus I was a little confused about, but in general, it made sense, Succubus is just doing what she usually does. We all know what she did to Schezo in Madou Saturn, but in Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon, she does appear in all routes in Battle Castle as well as in Schezo's route.
In both her boss fights, she tries her absolute best to make Schezo her servant...to basically little avail, because he was tempted at first. (Also, in Arle's route, she makes an exception for her because she only goes for "Good-looking men," but Arle can be excluded.)
-----
Witch:
If you've followed me at any point in time or casually read whatever she does in Madou, you know as well as I do that Witch chases this guy around. A lot. She could be considered the OG Schezo Chaser. (God I'm laughing at that name during typing)
They began to get associated in Tower of the Magician, and there, they're going their own routes but they team up sometimes for puzzles and the sort. Nothing bad. Then it happens again in SUN, with the now infamous "I want you," to Schezo, before clarifying its his robe she wants. I feel like this one was a genuine misunderstanding.
Then out of fucking nowhere, she dials it up to 11 in 1998 with both Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon AND Madou Saturn. Least in Saturn, she was stupid curious about this "Perverted man" and asked to touch him, and that's about it. In Waku Puyo, she just...chases him the entire time for his clothes, and keeps saying how cool he and the robe are. IK I mention this often but it's relevant to this for once. Plus, Waku Puyo is like 50% of my brand.
Then she does the unthinkable and continued it in PPT2...yes I know Marle possessed her but still. It's funny. And to quickly mention 20th, she does do her iconic SUN line again, so Wahoo.
And special shout out to when she told everyone about the meaning of Schezo's name during that beauty contest. Gotta respect that she knows the lore.
Tumblr media
(I don't think any of us expected this. But it's hilarious. Unfortunately I will not be submitting to you.)
----
About this "Lover chases their crush"/Chasers Trope;
They're pretty common in Puyo as a whole. Rulue with Satan, Satan with Arle, Schezo with Arle for straight power, Witch with Schezo, Draco with beauty, Strange Klug with trying to get out that fucking book, list goes on.
I won't deny, it's a little outplayed, and Rulue specifically got it the roughest. Like 60% of her is just about Satan, and I just find that wild, least in modern Puyo. I think Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 did it wonderfully, as Rulue still very much loves Satan, but it's not her entire character.
Maybe Puyo Tetris 2 is just really well written, I dunno.
Overall...I'm fine with this trope. If done well it can be very funny, just hope to God it's the main thing about the character.
And I think with that statement, that'll be all for this week. Hope you enjoyed this, and be sure to vote on the poll too.
Adios.

Since ToTK is out now and the idea I had for finding the masks is now irrelevant, I decided to share the basic idea of what kind of backstory I had come up with for how Wild got the FD Mask, cause I really liked what I had come up with but couldn't figure out the best way to implement it or the precise order of things happening.
In chronological order of appearance:
Link wakes up, gets told, "Hey, Link, you are this very specific character and your sole purpose is to go save Zelda"
Link doesn't really like this, but hey, what can you do?
Does the basic line of plateau to Dueling Peaks Stable to Impa to Purah to Impa, gets told to go follow the memories, finds the one with the DP in the background and the rock and is really disappointed in how it seems the princess, supposedly the most kind soul in Hyrule, basically directly insults Link's worth.
Thinks "Wow, that's what she thought of me? I must have been an asshole. Damn." and decides that if that's who he used to be, he didn't want to remember his past and risk becoming that again.
Awkward blank period I hadn't figured out leading into the Gerudo quest, where Link gets the Vai outfit and realizes, "Hey, everyone treats me like a different person now! This is pretty nice!" and begins questioning Gender among other things (now referred to as they).
Link goes into Gerudo town, does stuff, and eventually visits the old woman next to the goddess statue who points out the fact that Link is a voe. From Link's negative reaction, she feels slightly bad and decides to chat with them for a bit. This leads to her telling them about a stash of ancient masks that her family had been in charge of guarding for a while, but that her grand-(aunt? something) had lost the map with just a riddle left. Her reasoning for wanting it was that one of the masks would make the wearer seem like a Gerudo, and that espionage would be easy with it. She asks like to find the cache or the rotted/destroyed remains of the cache, and return the Gerudo mask to her.
The riddle was smart sounding and I liked it, but also could have been better as it just meant "shoot an ice arrow through that big skeleton's eye and the cache will show up," so Link thanks the woman and marks it down on the slate as a quest.
After some amount of time, Link goes to the skeleton and does the action, revealing a large crate with a fancy seal for a lock on it, used to hold the magic that made it rise, removes said seal, and opens the crate. Inside is a whole bunch of masks which bear resemblance to the masks from OoT and MM. I didn't get around to fully planing out this part, but this was the sort of vibe I was going for.
Link casually loots it all and puts the masks in the Sheikah Slate, for delivery to the old woman.
They return to Gerudo town and hand over the Gerudo mask to the old woman, who thanks them, and denies the returning of the rest of the masks as they would probably get more use of them than she would. She casually drops the existence of stage plays, which is the first Link has heard of them, and then explains they're where actors pretend to be different people to perform. This catches links attention.
Link eventually starts experimenting with this idea, wearing different masks or outfits and acting like completely different people, and because he is partially rejecting the idea of their only goal being to stop the BBEG and save Hyrule, they are usually more vocal, with exceptions (this doesn't mean they totally ignore their duty, and eventually leads to them beating Clammy Gan).
Eventually, Link visits the Deku tree and hears his (t)request. However, he notices something when Link later climbs up and talks to him from the StumpStool. This basically conveys the idea that the longer magic tools rest in place, the stronger they become.
This is how much I had thought out, and while I might finish this idea, due to the fact that there is now a Misiko quest that has you finding the pieces around Hyrule, I think I will have to revamp the story in order to fit ToTK better and to boost my interest again.
I dont know how much of the original plan will still be implemented, but I think there is enough stuff that I can carry over the ideas from into the new version. And so I will do this!
Eventually. . .

[busts out of the ground]
I'M NOT DEAD @jbeetle814 @hattedhellspawn I'M SO SORRY I ABANDONNED YOU GUYS INSIDE MY INBOX FOR A YEAR
I'll tell you everything with pleasure!
Buckle up because this might be a long ride :)
So, let's first establish the basic context of this whole AU; such as background info on what in the actual fresh hell is going on here.
First things first: this AU just kind of co-exists on the sidelines of canon tf2 with its own separate story happening while the OG mercs are off following canon at the same time in New Mexico and stuff. So technically, they both are in the same universe, just, from entirely different perspectives. I guess we can’t even call this an AU at this point but shhhh, we like having fun here.
Okay, so now that we’re clear with that let’s hop onto the actual story of ✨️ ze switcheroo mercs✨️:
BASICALLY, the 'mercs are actually all clones' theory is very much a real thing in my world. Except that the canon RED mercs are the “original mercs”, and literally everybody else are just clones.
Multiple cloned teams of the "original mercs" are scattered worldwide, and the job switcheroo mercs are one of them! Every single cloned teams are controlled by the one and only, you guessed it: Administrator. RED and BLU basically run a massive international chain company at this point, but like, with clones that fight each other to death.
The job switched mercs are one of the few cloned teams that have the least physical differences from the OGs they are supposed to doppelgang, which is surprisingly rarer than you’d expect. Ironically enough, clones rarely ever look exactly the same as the "originals" because of gene mutations (don't trust me on this, I'm not a science person at all), and more often than not a clone is going to pop out blond instead of brunette- or tall instead of short.
PERSONALITY HOWEVER, is a whole different story. My version of clones are "born" with a blank slate for a mind, with only the bare necessary knowledge for, ya know, living (i.e. how to eat, how to speak, how to do their job, yada yada you get the gist). All memories and pasts of the "originals" are wiped clean and you've got yourself a fancy new clone, yayyy.
So because of the obvious lack of everything inside the clones' minds, clones often don't have the same personality as the "originals", and sometimes even differ completely. It's up for them to build experience and form their own identity (as long as they don't end up revolting against Admin or anything, but that's never happened before so it should be okay).
The job switcheroo mercs have been stationed at a base in bumfuck nowhere (think of any country to slap em onto) with another cloned BLU team for approximately 3 2 years now; and all members of each team have formed their own entirely unique identities by now, and guess what that means! They're starting to have thoughts!
In the beginning, no one really cared about the jobs they were assigned with as a clone, but as the years grew they started thinking: “Hey, how about no [breaks the social norms]”. Everyone eventually realized that no one was happy with the jobs they were initially given, so they said fuck you to the system and started passing around their classes like a hot potato to see what sticks. By the end of this whole ordeal, everyone had tried everyone else’s job at least once before they eventually found the one they were satisfied with. TADA, ✨️the job switcheroo mercs were born✨️
Admin didn’t really care about this whole thing because 1) they're technically still doing what they're supposed to be doing, just with different jobs now and 2) she had other, bigger things to worry about, and the most emotion this mini revolt drew from her was: “ew, Miss Pauling, they’re starting to have opinions”
So far the team consists of:
Sniper as Soldier
Scout as Medic
Medic as Engineer
Spy as Demoman
Soldier as Spy
Demoman as Sniper
Heavy as Pyro
Engineer as Heavy
Pyro as Scout
ANYWAYS that’s all I got for now so if u got anymore questions feel free to ask
(Friendly reminder that this AU is a joke that I got way too invested in, and these job switches were made completely on random. AND ALSO literally nothing about this makes sense so let's just fuck around and find out at this point)

Hey uuh so if u don't mind.... I want some writing advice... I have heard that ppl don't often like stories with an ending where the main character gets amnesia... But I can't see my fic go anywhere else (The alternative route is dying and I DO NOT want to go down there...)
... Any... Advice? Thanks in advance!
wow i am so honored that you want my advice arisa! it sounds like you concieved your fic with the ending in mind which is already ten steps in the right direction. also, remember you are writing for YOU before anyone else. yes, you want readers to like the story you craft for them, but in the end it's YOUR story that you want to tell and you're the one who knows how to craft its meaning best!
to begin with, the reason why readers are often disappointed by endings where the character gets amnesia at the end is because they feel cheated of character growth. the point of a story is to develop a character from who they were at the beginning to who they are at the end. when a story wipes all that away, it leaves a dissatisfying, empty taste in readers' mouths and they wonder, "what was the point of reading this, then?" it's much like the ending where the character wakes up from a dream and we realize the whole story was made up. we think, "what did i get so invested in that for?" as we shake our heads and walk away.
now with this in mind, it sounds like your character's amnesia will be the culmination of their development (simply based on how the only other option was death). i'm thinking there will be a sacrifice involved which results in the mc losing memories and therefore exiting the role they filled in the story. sacrificing memories can be a good plot device if you use it correctly. but i think there are some things that should be set in place before you go down that route.
have a character who DOES remember everything the mc went through and who reacts to them in a manner that supports that. you can even hint at it, really (think marinette going to visit fu and smiling at his painting). this will create a link between their past life and current blank slate that satiates the reader, because those lost memories are still meaningful to the protagonist as well as someone who cares about them, even if the mc doesn't know it.
have the character show their growth in other ways that indicate their personality stayed the same, even if they don't remember how they got to that point. e.g., if this person's journey was about standing up for what's right, have them walking down a street, seeing an injustice, and stepping in to right it. then we the readers will think, "aww, they're still the same person even if they don't remember." that's what means the most to us <3
establish whether or not the character will ever get their memories back. is there a possibility the amnesia can be reversed? have the other characters who remember discuss it. is the memory wipe permanent and can't be undone? have the characters who remember discuss it. i love loose ends but i wouldn't recommend leaving this as one, simply because it will add to audience frustration if you don't address it.
cover your bases! make sure we know why the character had to lose their memories, how it completes the point of your story, and who it impacts in what ways. this will all satisfy the climactic decision, as well as just make your story stronger overall!
people like any story that's good, no matter the plot device. it's just a matter of how you use your plot devices to structure your narrative! always remember the basic elements of a story: who is your character, what do they want, and what are they going to do to get it? then, considering this, juxtapose who this person is at the beginning versus who they become by the end. that should give you your entire narrative arc, which you can then close in a fitting way.
thank you for the ask! i truly hope this helped :)))

something pissed me off today i was on that godforsaken app and someone was discussing how there are complex characters in re and people dont understand them and they used chris, wesker, ada, and luis. they claimed to like chris and wesker (as evidenced by the multiple comments dissecting chris’s ‘character’ in the series. they claimed to not like ada or luis but “understood their characters” yet didnt explain further why they didnt like them.
what gets me is that i see this same thing on tiktok where its basically people hating on ada but disguising it as wanting better writing for her.
like im sorry but re characters are not well written. theyre written by multiple different people throughout multiple different games, movies, and comics, and no one can agree on anything. most of the characters are essentially blank slates with no discernible personality traits. which is why it pisses me off so much.
whenever it comes to ada she doesnt get the same treatment as other (male) characters. i saw one person who disliked ada but they loved chris, wesker, luis, and leon. and liking luis but hating ada is always gonna baffle my mind because theyre so similar to each other. no, ada never gets an explanation as to why shes disliked other than “she needs better writing.” hey guess what. everyone in the series needs better writing.
i have my own 300 paragraph essays about ada because just like the other characters, there is barely anything to her in canon. most of my interpretation of her is literally in my head because capcom gives us jack shit. but her bad writing is used against her for people to dislike her character, but despite being slightly expanded on in re4make and separate ways its still not enough for people to latch onto. people latch onto the damn cameraman from re7 for crying put loud.
and i know this too because theres tons of people who like ada just like me and have the same interpretations, or different ones, but ones that still expand her character. hell, this can apply to any female character too, sheva, claire, ashley, mia, manuela, jill (although she’s not as much of a victim to this as other characters). like sorry but why is “poorly written” only a characteristic i see for the female characters.
idk i just think fine like whoever you want, write your essays, but dont complain about a badly written character when you yourself like a badly written character. we’re all in the same boat here
