Is anybody else having trouble with DA?

I have been on Deviantart for...almost 12 years I believe, maybe more, and it has gone downhill since then especially recently being overrun with spam bots and AI images, but I had stayed with it since that's where I have established myself, that's where most people who watch me are, and I still have a few friends who I have only been in touch with through Deviantart. All of a sudden my account logs me out...I tried to log back in but since I haven't had to login in years I forgot my password. I tried to reset my password but it sent me to an error screen? What is going on...Has anybody else had this problem?

I'm trying to download movies onto my iPad for my upcoming ten hour flight but I have never had this much trouble trying to attempt things and I burn dvds for fun.

I manage to download the correct apps and get TWO MOVIES SUCCESSFULLY ON MY IPAD that I torrented earlier (luckily I've gotten pretty fast at finding and downloading torrents) but my iTunes just decided to??? Give up?? So I had to reset it and at that very moment my iPad decided it NEEDED to update to 18.5 and it wouldn't let me do ANYTHING until I did. I had to delete like ten apps for it to let me do it because it wouldn't even connect properly to my laptop because it needed to update.

#it finally updated but my iTunes is still trying to give up #i can't find an easier way to do it and it was already successful so I'm going to troubleshoot this problem #before I switch to a completely new idea #I couldn't get VLC to share the port on my laptop which I think has to do with fucked up ip addresses #but I don't even want to touch that bc I don't have time to learn how to use ips to download movies for a flight in four days #I still have work

You know that problem horror fiction has where if you do the “the real horror is real life” well enough, when the actual horror pokes its head out it just seems really goofy by comparison? Like it’s so unrelatable it verges on comedy relief?

#I wish I had a smart conclusion about this but I’m trying to figure out how to troubleshoot the problem if I ever write this typa thing and #I don’t know how #’cause I just read this book about a young woman widowed for one year who starts receiving weird letters and messages from #an old flame of her deceased husband that he never told her about and it all was done so well it was like modern gothic fiction until #the last 20% or so when the letter-writer actually shows up with all her evil schemes in tow and then #suddenly it’s a completely different kind of book still scary I guess but the horror of the story was about not knowing what’s going on #and not having the person you once trusted and relied on to get you through it #and once she knows and has something to fight besides her own self you lose that #and I’m realizing the same thing happens with Stephen King a lot too cause in Pet Sematary #(spoilers)#I’m not saying it SHOULD have ended with the guy heading out to dig up his dead son because that would have been a copout but it would have #been way scarier #because the scary thing is the level of grief that would drive someone to that extreme and how easily you could put yourself in his place #and then his son is an evil zombie and it’s like okay whatever

For anyone familiar with AO3, can someone help me out regarding a problem I'm having with uploading images onto a fic?

Several years ago I wrote a fic and placed two images in it which uploaded without any issues, but recently the images stopped loading onto the fic and I'm not sure what the problem is

I had originally made the art myself and uploaded them onto my old DeviantArt account so that I AO3 would recognize the source URL. Like I said above there wasn't any problems with the images not appearing until only a few months ago...

Tried installing/updating to the latest version of FL Studio cuz the previous version was crashing only for me to get hit with "This app can't run on your PC" fuck my life dude

Hell yeah automatic renewal on my library book

#I'm only half way through #turns out taking detailed notes takes a damn long time #especially when you're essentially transcribing the entire book into a bullet point format #girl i need this information and the book has to go back so I'm writing the whole damn thing down #plus it helps me actually absorb the information when i have to read every sentence 2-3 times and also write it myself #learning about the neuroscience of human communication 👍#having actual mechanical knowledge of complicated concepts like my own consciousness makes it easier to troubleshoot and resolve issues #it's like “hey when you're experiencing this emotion here's what's happening and why and how you can slowly change that reaction”#i wasn't born with the intuitive understanding of emotional connection allistic people apparently have #but I've always been a powerhouse in the classroom #i have full confidence in my ability to absorb information and to learn to apply it appropriately in various situations #i have the pattern recognition to tell when someone's feeling a way with pretty good accuracy #Chinese dramas are really good for studying facial expressions and emotion because they do a lot of acting with their eyes #my main problem is not having the mirror neurons that simulate the emotions of other people in my own brain #so i have the information and i understand what it means #but i also can't help thinking it's odd to feel that way because only the data comes across and not the emotion itself #but if i get a detailed enough understanding of human behavior i think i can make up for that #and with enough applied effort over time i might be able to build those networks in my own brain on purpose #bc it's not like I'm fully missing them #when someone in a show or book is sad i do cry #but i think my defenses are up too high in person to let anything through #i have noticed increased understanding and something like empathy developing lately #still not feeling the feelings but i can recognize and accommodate them which is a lot better than i used to be
