#how ironic is that here is the one of the only places I can be real #I feel so young yet so old #so formed yet so new and raw #I had the most difficult year of my life #living abroad for half the year #then returning to live in a place where I haven’t been for 7 years #a place that destroyed me and burned me and told me to go #and now I’m back and old yet so young and I don’t know what to do #this was the year of unbecoming #and laughing because life ain’t that serious #but somehow I know that and I feel it but the future #still terrifies yet excites me #and I know I’m magnetic and magical and beautiful #but I don’t know what I want #and that is scary #and in a huge transition #and change is scary #but staying the same is scarier #but I am so greateful for the wild life I’ve lived #all the places I’ve seen #all the people I’ve met #god the things I’ve done #im greateful for it all #I’ve lived truly 100000 lives #and I feel tired yet energized #to know it’s just beginning #and to know that things can change if I want them to #will change #but the amount of love #I’ve seen and felt

Your fears that you don't have a body that will transition "well" are, sure, understandable, but there isn't truly such thing as a body that's unworthy of transition. Perhaps your changing body won't suit everybody's taste, but would you rather live for yourself or for the whims of random people who don't care about your happiness as long as they're attracted to what they see?

Transition is for anybody who wants it. It's okay to be fearful. It's okay to be uncertain. But it isn't the end of the world. You are in control, and if you choose to transition to any capacity, it should be at your behest. You and your body are worthy of transition. I hope you are able to seize transition and do what you truly want for yourself.

#trans #transgender #lgbt #lgbtq #ftm #mtf #nonbinary #have been seeing a small resurgence in some trans spaces that there is such thing as an 'untransitional' body #there are people out there who cannot transition for medical/financial/social reasons but that isn't what people often mean #kill the person in your head that says you need to adhere to cishet standards. it's okay to be trans and *look* it if you want #transition because it makes you feel happy or fulfilled. transition because it is something *you* want #while yes it's complex because appearing trans can be dangerous i ultimately want people to have the freedom to make decisions solely...#...on what *they* want y'know?#i have seen this idea that some people just aren't 'able' to transition because they won't 'appear cis' for years now and it's heartbreaking #like i used the whole 'i don't look cis' against myself because it's impossible for me *to be* cis...#...i will never be non-trans. i will never not be a transsexual and i used to hate that about myself...#...because i was taught that being trans is bad. i was taught that looking trans is a curse that nobody should EVER inflict upon themselves #and that the goal was to essentially distance yourself as far away from transness as you can #and it's okay for people to not want to 'look' visibly trans. it's neutral. what was harmful was the idea that TRANS was bad #there's a huge difference between 'i don't want to be visibly trans' and 'i think being trans and looking it is bad'

#kingdom hearts 0.2 birth by sleep a fragmentary passage #kh0.2 #depths of darkness #realm of darkness #my gif #they did a good job making the realm of darkness look distinct from the realm of light #because this place really does feel like nowhere we've ever been before #the rocky pathways with no sign of organic life make me feel like i'm on the moon or an alien planet #it's interesting how fallen worlds feel like they're all stitched together between areas like this #aqua can simply walk from place to place without needing a ship or keyblade glider to fly her to a new world #though who's to say how long it takes her to do all of that #as if the realm of darkness is one big ever growing expanse of land without any known boundaries between worlds #we know that all worlds used to be connected in the realm of light long ago and i'm guessing that's the case in the realm of darkness #it's never been split or fractured by keyblade wielders so it still follows its own rules and laws of nature #that'd be pretty interesting #we see this area start as a rocky wasteland that transitions into flat sandy terrain from the destiny islands #but you have to walk through a huge blinding light to get there first which is really unusual #it makes me think of how terra and aqua were guided to destiny islands by a bright light #and how destiny islands appears as a ball of light on the world select menu in bbs #but why portray it that way? we've been shown before what the world of destiny islands looks like from afar with the CoM world cards #and it's not like they even needed to include it on the world select screen in bbs because it's not a world you can even visit on your own #i don't know what it's all supposed to mean yet but #i believe the islands are more significant than we know at this time and this game continues to raise a lot of questions #it's certainly called 'destiny' islands for a reason

I've finished the full draft of the next chapter of Transfer Motive and I'm very excited to fix it up and post it!!! Aiming for it to be fully finished sometime next week?? Depends if I suddenly want to rewrite an entire scene or something!!!

#drv3 #fun fact about this chapter I wrote it completely out of order #I wrote the start of the first scene #then the last scene #then the second scene #then the third scene which kinda melted into the last so its one huge scene #then went back to the first scene #it has been an interesting experience!!!#my main priority has been making sure the transitions between scenes are seamless but also quick #like I used to be the sort of person that described everything even the change of scenes #now I'm experimenting with dropping the reader in the middle of a scene instead of writing the build up of how they got there??#if that makes sense??#I quite like what I've done and I think it works #and I'm VERY excited to share the next chapter when its ready :3

feels kind of, how do you say, "le ironic" that one of the biggest tensions immediately post-breakup was my posting about it, anything to do with it beyond vague nothing statements about my feelings was ~too personal~, didn't matter how tongue-in-cheek it was, postcoping was off the table so to speak. but every time they brought it up to me I took it seriously and communicated my feelings and adjusted my behaviour because I thought there was something there to salvage. then just a couple weeks after the move he's talking shit about me on his blog in a really deceptive way, and when I bring it up to him his private response was basically a complete denial to engage or take any kind of accountability, and afterwards his public defense was that he thought I wouldn't see it. which is provably untrue, I mean in the week before we moved out we had a conversation where I said I still checked in on his blog, I just didn't follow him because I didn't want it showing up on my feed. we weren't talking all the time but we were normal at that point. that part was pretty confusing, but I guess that defense wasn't for me, it was for everyone else that didn't know the situation and might believe it absent of any other information. but aside from the fact it was blatantly false it was also just kind of a stupid defense? "oh I thought this person I told I wanted to still be friends with and still checks my blog wouldn't see my post misrepresenting her. yeah it was meant to be behind her back. that makes it better somehow." who is that for? it's insane.

#my reaction after that wasn't really the greatest. I might have overreacted if you look at it in a vacuum but fuck man #it was building for a while with the way they were treating me #and I realised at that point the huge gap in how much he actually gave a fuck about me and how much he just wanted to keep up his image #to avoid alienating ppl in our shared circle #realising you're putting in 90% of the effort to transition ur relationship post-breakup into like a healthy friendship and the other perso #simply doesn't seem to even really want that despite what they say will make u a bit crazy idk

Quick question for the TUA folks.

I personally do not think so because Viktor isn’t a real person and the differences in character before the transition and after are quiet big.

I do not condone deadnaming or using the wrong pronouns for real trans folks like Elliot Page, but since Elliot said he would have continued as Vanya if they had decided to not transition the character as well I don’t think it’s disrespectful or wrong to call the character Vanya when writing or theorizing about past seasons.

And I don’t think it’s ok to detransition Viktor when writing or talking about season 3 or 4 because his transition is a big part of his character in the show.

Also if you’re talking about the comic none of this applies obviously.

jump scared by the 4th Doctor saying "well" with an uncanny intonation to how 10 says it, except I thought that was just a David Tennant-ism considering he does it in everything eventually, like, that CAN'T have started with him copying this cadence and absorbing it into his being? Right?

#I'm a season in on Baker and I understand now #his entire presence is in his voice which is of course impossible to see in random pictures and such #INCREDIBLY deep and rich voice #and while his performance is to me otherwise probably upper-middle-tier so far #the writing has taken a huge jump in quality even while staying in the serial format which sets some pretty dreadful pacing limitations #that have so far been the bane of all 12 seasons I've watched #what with demanding a silly fake cliffhanger 3-5 times a story and thus getting everyone kidnapped and imperilled way beyond common sense #the writing is either good enough to compensate #or they're going less out of their way to move everyone around like chess pieces to be in peril on the dot #and after binging this much of it even one smooth episode transition per serial is a relief #and then of course Baker is delivering all the lines with that sonorous voice and smoothing it all over further #I can see why people would advise starting with Baker simply because the episodes feel more digestible and easy to chew #of course having started at the start #the improvement scale I'm working on is rather warped :P #several B&W era Who I was fully showing up For Science with an anthropology hat on to study 1960s britain #because it was all such a hurdle #this is just like. Acceptable if adorably janky TV by now :P #doctor who
