Hiii
So we can work as sort of a spy for our spouse, and undermine our former kingdom while romancing someone? 👀
Nice 😈
But also is our fiance not a RO? Just to clarify. If not I'm going straight to the knight lmao. Good luck with your story!!
Hello, thank you for your message!
To confirm: yes, the spouse is not a RO. I went more into reasons why in my answer to this ask (which contains mild spoilers) but the short answer is, I wanted to explore what a political marriage could look like, good or bad, without romance in the marriage.
You can absolutely be a loyal ally to your spouse while pursuing a romance with someone else, even with the spouse's knowledge and support.
I hope you enjoy the knight romance route!
It's going to have a fair degree of angst and comfort and trauma-bonding, if you're into that sort of thing. ;D

Obviously we didn't get a trailer in june because they knew we wouldn't survive the wait. It's only 21 days from now and I'm chewing on my desk.

So that sea-monster AU, am I right?
I spent five hours of these tail designs. Five hours cause Sun's was a struggle. The patterns might still change but I think I'm set on the shapes.
We ignore that Moon's looks like an arcade carpet.

So while rambling on and on and on to Isaac about ... who knows anymore, I lost track of what I was saying after the first like three paragraphs at least --
I realized Elwin likely really did really trust Anabella. I think this not only because he took Joshua, Clive, and their men to Phoenix Gate without realizing there was any cause for concern, not only because of the fact that he never made any mention whatsoever in his will that Anabella might be a threat...
But also because he, as acting ruler of the duchy, was in charge of The Undying at that time. The Undying, who are not just the protectors in the shadows of the Dominant of Phoenix, but the eyes and ears of the acting ruler both at home and across the realm. Anabella managed to orchestrate The Night of Flames undetected even by The Undying, of all people. Now, the argument can be made that they wouldn't have raised a finger to help anyone other than Joshua, but I do personally disagree, given that it's stated that they follow the command of the reigning ruler, Dominant of Phoenix or not. Elwin may not have been Phoenix's Dominant, but he was still the Archduke, therefore they still answered to him.
If Elwin had thought Anabella a threat in any way, shape, or form, he could have had The Undying keep an eye on her, and given their nature, she likely would have been none the wiser about it. But he didn't, at least not as far as we're aware. The only person who figured out that anything was going on was Goditha, and that was because she noticed, as keeper of the royal family's vault, that in the days leading up to Elwin and co.'s departure for Phoenix Gate, Anabella had been removing her jewelry from the vault in order to have it sent elsewhere.
On an unrelated note, one of these days I will finally stop rambling. Today is very clearly not that day.

I put the kitten in the bathroom for a minute so we could let the boys upstairs to visit at Mom's
Tiny Tim made a beeline to the bathroom door (with a minor detour to try to steal the kitten's food) and after sniffing under the door... started hissing
Dang it Tim
I scooped him up and took him upstairs for his Sunday visit, and the whole way up he was hissing and grumbling and growling!!
Someone is becoming territorial
