I have a new au idea that could be very much chaotic and fun

So. We know that there's a Shisui blog who hc Shisui and Obito as brothers. And we know that there's a Kagami blog who likes to rp as Shisui's father/grandfather. And there's a very cute hc in the fandom that Sakumo could have been Kagami's student

So, imagine grandpa Kagami adopting Kakashi after Sakumo's death, and now suddenly he has Obito (and baby Shisui) as brother (and who knows, maybe Sakumo chose Kagami as Kakashi's godfather and asked him to take care of his son if anything ever happened to him)

While yes, there is angst potential (because Kakashi is a walking bucket of angst and trauma), there is also so much chaotic energy and I needed to share this idea

Ok 1) Kagami as Sakumo's Sensei is super friggen cute. I am in love with this idea. Sakumo deserves the best Sensei <3

2) Kagami having to pull Obito and Kakashi apart from arguing all the time is such a funny concept. Like he thought he would just take his students son in and it would be easy. he has raised Obito and Shisui since their parents death, this should not be hard. But here he is, dragging Obito away from trying to scream at Kakashi for the third time this day.

He's tired. This poor man did not think he was signing up for this shit.

But Kakashi, Obito and Shisui do actually get along really well. Even though Kakashi and Obito are rather snotty with each other at times, they are friends. Their personalities just clash at times

And oh gosh, Kagami dealing with Kakashi's 'I will follow the rules and be a good shinobi' phase T.T This poor man already had his hands full with Obito and Shisui, he's not ready for this added stress but he's dedicated. he's going to make sure Kakashi knows he's loved and there's more to being a shinobi than just following the rules.

that Sakumo wasn't wrong for what he did, but that the Village was wrong for their reaction.

Also, there's the added bonus of training. Living together, Kakashi and Obito would likely find themselves training together more often. Obito being forced to take training a bit more seriously and growing more. Kakashi getting to train with Kagami and Obito (Shisui when he's older) and getting a better understanding of the Uchiha's fighting style and the Sharinan. it would benefit them both greatly and I can see Obito inviting Rin into their training because she's his best friend.

I need to share soft sign language buddies ninogami headcanon because they’re taking over my brain always:

(This got so long, so youre welcome if youre also starved for ninogami content)

Nino’s mom is Deaf , so he grew up signing as much as speaking. When he was younger he always signed as he talked.

It turned out he’s also Hard of Hearing, so sign language is way easier for him to understand most of the time.

However, though he’s great at making friends, he’s very awkward when it comes to talking about himself. So never comes up in conversation.

It’s not a self-deprication issue. It’s just a “thinking of things to say is hard and I’d rather have someone else do the talking” thing. He’d rather talk about anyone except himself.

Additionally! He’s great at helping other people, but he’s terrible at asking for help. He does not EVER want to be like “hey i cant understand what you’re saying, my ears dont work great,” its his worst nightmare

And it doesnt help that there have been a few cases of people being rude about it when he doesnt hear them after they repeat themselves. And possibly worse, there have been even more cases of people giving over-the-top apologies instead of just,, telling him what they said. So it’s not worth the trouble in his mind

with his few close friends who still dont know, it feels like its too late and it’d be awkward to bring it up, so he just… doesnt. He’s procrastinating on telling them he cant hear them

He stopped signing as much as he talked in middle school because strangers would always be like “woah thats so cool, how do you know sign language” and he’d just panic because he was an awkward tween, and he didnt know if he was comfortable telling them he was HoH, but ALSO just saying his mom was Deaf and not mentioning himself felt like directly lying by hiding information, so he just took the “lazy” way out and signed less in public.

Sometimes fighting the anxiety was not worth it so he just let it win in that case.

Nino is so nice and energetic and loves people, but he is way more introverted and anxious than his friends think.

But when they start to get closer, Kagami who is ever-observant, notices him signing a little bit, (not ever to her, not ever on purpose, but he’d sometimes sign a word he needed to remember while speaking or sign along to emphasize something)

and she luckily for his anxiety, she doesnt know how to have a normal conversation either.

Her (platonic as well as romantic) love language is studying and research, and Nino seems very cool and she likes him, even if she is awful at holding a conversation with him or doing anything to show it.

She thinks he’s so cool and such an amazing talented kind friend. She has so much love for him that she doesnt know what to do with it. So she channels that energy into learning to sign through the internet and whatever tools she can find

And then after a while of this, she’s like “oh no, he’s gonna think that’s so creepy, I cant tell him I know sign language or he’ll be so uncomfortable”

So, like a whole idiot, she hides that she’s learning sign language from anyone. Because OBVIOUSLY if word got back to Nino, he’d assume it was because of him and that she was a weirdo he shouldn’t be friends with

But also Kagami accidentally falls in love with sign language because she has undiagnosed autism. She always assumed that communicating was just going to be impossible no matter what, but as she gets proficient in sign language she’s like,,, oh,,, OH,, this is very nice

Even just signing while she talks makes it so much easier to keep words and sentances straight, but she only does it when she’s alone with her mother, who is literally blind and would never know.

They become closer friends in late high school, and by that time a lot of Nino’s anxiety has worn off and he’s become completely comfortable letting teachers know when he needs to hear somthing, and middle school feels like a distant dream

At some point, Nino invites Kagami to his house a few times, and he signs with his mom. Nino is like “I can interpret for you,” and Kagami is like “wow thanks, I’m so lucky, because I obviously do not know any sign language, why would I have learned it, and also for the record it is brand new information to me that you can sign,” and Nino is like “cool? Its not a secret but im glad i told you if you somehow didnt already know,” and Kagami is like, “yep :)”

But then eventually as they become really close, they are texting one night, (Kagami can still barely get out of her house, so they need to communicate remotely. And both of then HATE phone calls bc its so hard to understand whats happening, but neither of them have admitted this to anyone)

Nino admits that he likes using sign language better than talking, and he wishes he could use it with his friends, but he’d feel so guilty asking them to learn an entire language just to make him slightly more comfortable. He can talk and hear OKAY so he shouldnt put the pressure on them.

and Kagami is like “you could always ask, worst case scenerio they say no, and i dont think thats an unreasonable demand” and nino is like “it is though,” and kagami’s like “ok so haha funny story, please dont hate me” and nino is like, “…what.” And kagami confesses everything and nino is like “why… why would i hate you for that?” And Kagami is like “oh wait youre right im stupid,”

And then Nino’s also like “hey if YOURE more comfortable signing too, then why dont YOU ask your friends to sign for you. Do you see what i mean? It’s hard to ask-” and kagami is like, “as your friend i will prove it is not.”

So then Kagami ends up confronting Adrien and Marinette the next day and is like “Hi. This is a sign language dictionary. Learn from it.” And they’re both like “what?” And she’s like “oh wait sorry. Backing up. I’m autistic. I decided like three years ago. Forgot to tell you. And I need you to learn to sign a little bit so you can understand if i sign something at you. If you want, of course. Please :D.” And theyre like “ok sure yeah i can do that.”

(Theyve already learned and accepted that shes extremely direct in asking for things)

So then she texts nino and is like “i did it. Youre welcome.”

But anyway both of them are uncomfortable in crowds and parties: Nino cant hear anyone and Kagami tends to get sensory overload, so they start signing mostly in those situations, and then it starts to sink in that they’re allowed to sign whenever and that the other really IS also comfortable with it.

(Both of them are much more willing to make sacrifices for others than to try something new and intimidating for themself, so this is the perfect situation to trick them into getting out of their comfort zone, ironically by trying to be more comfortable in the long run)

so they will just sit together and hang out and have long conversations while just chilling somewhere in a park or at cafes or whatever. Both of them become chattier than they’ve ever been because talking and understanding is so much easier, and its addicting

And their close friends all become proficient enough in sign language to have simple conversations.

But also Nino and Kagami start sitting together automatically even in group hangouts, and they start hanging out more with just the two of them, and soon neither of them feel bad about asking to hang out in quieter places, because they can justify it knowing that it will also help the other one, and together that makes both of them also more comfortable asking for little accomodations from other friends, if only to prove to the other that they can do it too.

And Kagami has the lesser-known autism side effect where she makes WAY TOO MUCH eye contact. She’s aware of it but that doesnt make it go away. Normally she feels so awkward about it, and overthinks her gaze because she doesnt want to scare people away. But when signing, you literally HAVE to be watching the other person constantly, so she has an excuse to just be herself, and its so relieving

(and also its kind of fun to look at Nino anyway because he can get so animated and his smile is really nice and oh no she is in love a little bit)

And Nino always struggles because he emotionally ALWAYS needs to be the nice polite one. His anxiety sometimes gets the better of him and he’s constantly worried about sending the wrong signals to his friends and coming off as rude somehow. But with Kagami, he can literally just ask?? And she will tell him her honest opinion without making it weird. And its so comfy and so good and he really loves hearing her unfiltered opinions on so many things because she sees the world in such a unique way and she gets so passionate about such little things and then oh no, he is fallen for her before he can realize it

And they also learn that they’re both artists, they both love to just observe the world because even if they;re awkward, people are actually pretty great most of the time, and its fun to observe them and try to capture the world, and they just sit together and sketch, or they watch each other sketch, and the thing is, both of them draw ONLY FOR THEMSELVES, its not a ‘skill,’ and they don;t want it to be, its just private art for relaxation. Somehow, though, its okay if they share their art with each other. They can just sit in comfortable silence for hours while one of them sketches something and the other watches patiently

And they start to get more comfortable with one of their heads resting on the other’s shoulder as they watch them doodle, and sitting so close their legs press together, and soon enough their hands start brushing against each other’s as they walk next to each other and then all of a sudden they’re casually holding hands whenever they’re not signing because it’s nice

They try to share headphones so Nino can share some of his favorite songs and his compositions with Kagami. But try as she might, Kagami can not handle the sensory of only having one earbud in. Nino knows her tells by that point, and he’s not about to let her suffer for a stupid reason, but she REALLY does want to hear his music. They somehow end up with Kagami putting a pair of headphones around her neck and turning up the volume a little bit so she can hear, while Nino rests his head on her shoulder so he can hear just enough to know where she is in the song

And then he has to sit up and scootch away just enough to see her hands so they can talk about it, and they both pretend not to notice how nice it was to snuggle as they sign. Its fine, though, because now they get the excuse to just look at each other again and sign overdramatically with exaggerated facial expressions, and no one else around can overhear their conversation, and Nino likes to go a little over the top when signing onomatopoeia and acting out particular parts of the song rhythm that he likes, and Kagami laughs, and they both mentally save the image of each other in this moment the same way that they look at reference images for artwork, memorizing the lines of each movement and the things that make each smile unique,

and Nino also shows up at every single one of her fencing tournaments, and he sits as close as he can and signs encouraging messages to her from the crowd whenever she’s not actively competing, (that her blind mom can never catch, which is somewhat of a bonus to Kagami, because every element of their friendship that her mother cant interact with makes this more personal and special and HERS). Every little sign she sends back at him, even a simple thank you, always feels so good and rebellious and free because shes supposed to be focusing on fencing but shes deciding to care more about friendship. And even if she’s expected to leave immediately afterword, she’ll find every excuse possible to find him and give him a hug, which he’ll always accept even though she jokingly warns him shes sweaty and gross

And eventually they are special best friends and it brings them instant joy to see each other and theyre able to interact for no reason other than that they want to and like each other

Atsumu - PLEASE, YES

we would be so chaotic together but he would also be really loving. As long as he can still prioritize me in a relationship, not over volleyball, just as much, then we will be golden. We would have such a good time and i feel like we would have a lot of fun bickering, which i really enjoy. Play fighting as a form of foreplay, if you will lmao. We’d probs be friends in HS and then get together after he starts playing for MSBY and he is secured in his position (and himself tbh). I just love this cocky bastard. he also gives me switch vibes and as a switch, i love that for me.

Daichi - YES

All i need is to be wrapped in his arms on the daily and i would be happy. Man would know how to take care of me and that is all. Love of my life, too good for this world. Wholesome husband. He would be able to manage my crazy side and chill me out when i get to anxious. I would want to be bratty just to get him to drop his good guy routine sometimes and I feel like he would like that.

Issei - YES

Funeral home employee can get it. Matsukawa Horse cock Issei can whisk me off my feet and straight into bed. we would have a lot of fun picking on oikawa together (out of love of course) but we would balance each other out a lot. His darker humor would go well against my lighter humor. Also I feel like our level of hotness is pretty comparable... like we aren't the prettiest in the friend group but still good (if that makes sense)

Bokuto - YES

Big ball of sunshine to light up my day, he would literally fuck the sad out of me every day I just know it. Like atsumu, as long as I am a priority to him itll work out. We also kind of have the same sad moods so I feel like we could either both just curl up on the couch together and watch a movie or bring the other out of a funk easily. I love this giant himbo so much.

Hinata - most likely yes

Pretty much the same reasons as bokuto but I feel like I would get drained of his energy faster, so he would def have to cuddle me more. For everyone else so far I can imagine being high school sweethearts, but with hinata i think he wouldnt settle down until later, or even start dating so it would probably be a lot of pining and watching him from the side lines for a while, which would be really hard tbh. but the way he would smile at me after a match would make it worth it so...

 Kyoutani - Hard YES

I love a boy with anger issues, what can i say... (cough couch my irl husband with anger issues couch couch) I would love to be his weak spot and the one person he would go to to help him not feel angry anymore. I think that my fun personality would help him to unbox himself a bit. I just want to give him cuddles and a place to feel accepted. id also i KNOW hes a monster in bed... 

Bakugou - FUCKING HARD YES, PLEASE

if he was real the things i would do to and for him... A lot like kyoutani i would want to give him a place where hes accepted, and a place where he is unconditionally loved. I would be able to handle his misguided anger and calm him down and give him space. I headcanon that hes very cuddly in private to just his S/O which is something that i love. I love his lil smirk and would do anything to get him to smirk at me. As long as he is able to set me as a priority it would work out, but that would be what he struggles with so it would be a thing we would have to talk about. But I also feel that once you say something about it he would check in with you because of course he has to be the best bf/husband. I feel like I could talk for hours about him so Ill just wrap it up by saying that I love me a passionate man who would probs be a lil possessive, and I would use that to my advantage. 

Denki - GOD YES

I really do think that denki and I are soulmates. we are both the perfect blend of funny, pervy, while still being soft. I feel like there would be a lot of mutual pining at first but he would end up the golden retriever gamer boy to my alt bisexual and thats just the perfect pairing. We would pull so much shit and then get away with it because thats just us being us. I see us being scolded by bakugou a lot for the stupid shit we would pull. Also late night drives in his shitty tuned car to taco bell while we sing alt rock songs from the 2010s. also the switch vibes are immaculate.

 Hawks - Probably

So it would honestly depend a lot on what version of hawks.. him in the hero commission is a no, because he wouldnt be able to be honest with me about a lot of stuff. Like his name, or when i can see him again, and that would give me too much anxiety. When hes free of them and is actually allowed to be himself I think it could work then. I know that he of course wants to still be the best hero, so he would have the same problems as bakugou with finding a balance, but if he wants to i think he could. He would also have a lot of trauma from his relationship with his parents and the commission so I dont know if he would be able to give his love away as freely as he wants so we could get therapy together. I love that for us. But i would happily wake up next to this beautiful birb man if he would have me.  

Sukuna - A hesitant yes

so.. the anger issues that ive mentioned before.. yes. I would like sukuna. I would be his lil bride and sit on his lap on his throne as long as he didnt kill my loved ones or my cats lmao. I would also be ok with being his and itadoris gf while hes living in itadoris head. being with him is just asking for an unhappy ending tho, whether its a life always on the run, or someones trying to kill me, or someones trying to kill him, or hes trying to kill someone. But yes i would like to be with him but that would mean sacrificing a lot. 

Mei Mei - god yessssss..

Please Mei Mei step on me and make me ur lil house wife. I see us living in a pent house apartment with the most breathtaking view of the Tokyo skyline. I would want for nothing and she could take me where ever she wanted and i would just follow her around with heart eyes.

 Kagami - YES

my basketball husband! i love him and would love to be loved by him. Id follow him wherever. He would take care of me and is just so dreamy.. also i guess the mild anger issues.. but hes really not that bad. He would just be such a good s/o. He would cook us nice dinners, wed have a few cats, and he would carry me around a lot because hes so strong. While were on the topic of strong... his stamina... everyone on this list probably has good if not great stamina... but kagami just hits different..... have you seen him in the zone? have you seen his thighs? his sex zone has got to be incredible. 

 Levi - Yes

I was going to say it depends, but really it doesn't... if were in the aot universe and hes my captain and I fall in love with him u can bet ur ass im gonna try and get with him because i could die at anytime. if its some au where he is here in our universe and somehow we meet... like of course im gonna be in love with him. our height difference isnt too bad, im only like an inch or 2 taller than him. I think we would both have a great time together. I would make him laugh, and he would help me clean, because lord knows I hate cleaning. BUT i hate cleaning because its something that I always have to do alone, and I feel like levi would have us be cleaning together like he makes the scouts do. and hes just so sexy... 

Jean - big yes

Who sleeps in the middle?

Kuroko. he gets cold the easiest and likes to be smushed between his two giant bfs. he’s also often the peacekeeper stopping them from kicking each other and stealing the blankets. they both get their share of his ice cold toes and fingers that way, and he’s such a light sleeper that once they’re in that position neither of them can move for fear of waking him up, but none of them would have it any other way.

Who is the best cuddler?

Kagami. he’s like a giant snuggly teddy bear, gives the very best hugs and is always the big spoon no matter who he’s cuddling with. and he’s okay with that. in fact he loves it, whether he’s holding Kuroko or Aomine or both at once, he loves that he can just wrap around them like an octopus and make them feel safe and loved. 

Who gets hurt the most?

Kuroko. Kagami might be the biggest klutz of the three but he also doesn’t bruise easily. meanwhile if Kuroko so much as stubs his toe it turns purple and he’ll be limping for a few days. he’s also the one most likely to get in trouble and get scraped up on purpose, whether he’s skinning his knees trying some new technique he’s not prepared for, or picking a fight and getting decked by someone twice his size, he’s always sporting a new bruise or band-aid and getting chastised by his overprotective bfs who are honestly just as bad... just less likely to show it.

Who acts like the baby?

Aomine. obviously. this guy is an oversized toddler in big boy clothes. he’s always pestering for attention and whines and complains when he doesn’t get his way. he’s a picky eater and can throw actual tantrums if he’s annoyed enough -- and usually the root cause is him not getting enough sleep. he’s also treated like the baby of the family, with both Kagami and Kuroko feeding him and taking care of him, but honestly, neither of them mind it much. 

Who teases the others the most?

also Aomine. he’s especially prone to poking and picking at Kagami because he knows just what buttons to press and likes to get him riled up. he can’t seem to resist taunting and provoking him at any given opportunity, and he’s just as quick to tease Kuroko, when he can. the difference is rather than turning red and potentially starting a fight, Kuroko will just coolly sass him right back and move on with his day.

Who proposes?

I’m sorry but I can only see Aomine being the one to propose (or at the very least, being the first one). under the exterior, he’s a useless sappy romantic and would probably either insist on doing things proper, buying a pair of rings and getting down on one knee and all, OR randomly blurting it out during dinner with no planning or preparation or anything. either way, of course they both say yes. 

Who is the most protective?

Kuroko. looks are 100% deceiving here, he’s physically the smallest but mentally and emotionally, he’s the toughest of the three and he’ll go to the ends of the earth to defend the people he loves. he would absolutely put himself in danger to protect the others and worries about both of them a lot (sometimes needlessly, but there are times they do need it). Kagami and Aomine both put up a tough act, and follow Kuroko around like his personal bodyguards, but don’t be fooled, he’s the one you need to really watch out for.   

Who is the closest to the child? (Whether it be a fur baby, scale baby, or human child.)

either Aomine or Kuroko... probably both equally. they’re very emotionally-driven people who love animals of all shapes and sizes (Kagami would have some trouble if their fur baby happened to be a dog -- and considering Nigou that’s a very likely possibility). both of them would form a strong connection with any baby the group decided to have. that’s not to say Kagami wouldn’t also be close to a child or pet and love them, but he’s just a little bit more distant and guarded than the others and it would definitely take him some time.

Who gives the best advice?

Kuroko. he’s (usually) the only one with a brain cell to speak of, and has a lot of practical knowledge and common sense. he has difficulty separating his emotions from a situation to look at it objectively, so he can be a little biased with what he suggests, but it’s still good advice, just the same.

Who is like a therapist?

Kagami. unlike Kuroko, he doesn’t always know what to say or what to suggest, but he is a good listener, and easy to talk to, so he lets the others vent to him and work through their issues, and often finds himself on the receiving end of a long and cathartic story or rant from one or both of them. he’s also much better at looking at things objectively; nine times out of ten he’ll bluntly point something out that makes the others look at things from a new angle, because it’s so obvious to him as an outsider but they’re too wrapped up to see it.

Who sings B and C to sleep?

Kagami. I hc that he can sing in three different languages (English, Japanese and some Spanish), the others especially like when he sings in English, and he indulges them since he’s probably going to be up the latest anyway. sometimes Kuroko also tries his hand at a lullaby, but he doesn’t have the instant power to knock Aomine out that Kagami does. 

Is the relationship healthy?

I mean... is any relationship completely, 100% healthy? as relationships go, they have a very good balance between them and there’s a mutual, three-way respect that they all maintain with each other. they’ve got problems and character flaws, of course, they’re very different people and things aren’t always going to be perfect, but they love each other and are all willing to put in the work when it comes down to it.

Do A and B have a stronger bond with each other? Or do C and B or C and A have a stronger bond? Or are A, B, and C close together [equally]?

they’re all close with each other in different ways. not necessarily equally all around, just... their individual relationships within the greater whole have different strengths and shortcomings. It breaks down something like this:

Kagami and Kuroko are probably the most stable with each other. there’s trust and affection and good communication between them, and they’re on very equal footing. the trouble is, because they usually work together so well, they’re not very good at reconciling when they don’t, and things can build up between them that they don’t acknowledge until their whole balance crumbles. 

Aomine and Kagami are in tune with each other in a way that’s almost instinctive, they finish each other’s sentences and seem to always be on the same wavelength. they don’t require much from each other, and have a kind of simple ease in each other’s company, when they aren’t getting in each other’s faces. the downside is they aren’t very good at communicating, and tend to avoid difficult subjects and saying what they really mean.

Aomine and Kuroko have history, are probably the most sappy and romantic with each other, and share an almost indescribably intimate bond built up over years, but they’re also the most likely to argue (not just petty squabbling like Aomine and Kagami, or old-married-couple bickering like Kagami and Kuroko, but actually fight and hurt each other). they’re also terrible about enabling and egging each other on and probably get into the most ridiculous situations because they’re somehow the best and worst combination of personality traits at the same time.

Who can be trusted to be left home alone?

Kagami. he’s the only one. do not leave either of the others home alone they will burn the house down, either accidentally or as a result of getting bored and thinking “I wonder what happens if...” (famous last words).

Who cries the most?

Kuroko, by default. he cries about as much as any normal, healthy person would. Kagami doesn’t cry hardly ever, to the point that it’s a little concerning sometimes, and when he does it’s a Big Deal. Aomine cries every now and then, but doesn’t really feel comfortable doing it in front of other people so he’ll usually try to hide it or hold it in.

Who is the softest?

like... physically, or emotionally? you know what, Kagami for both. he’s a great big softy under the tough exterior, and even though he’s the most physically jacked, he’s got enough meat on his bones to have some nice give and be very comfy to lie on.

Who is the shortest?

Kuroko. ....we been knew.

Who is the tallest?

Aomine. again we been knew; he’ll hold that little 2cm sliver of height he’s got on Kagami over his head until the end of time.

Who likes cuddles the most?

Aomine. he will seek out cuddles every chance he gets, he flops down next to both of the others and nudges them like a cat, or just muscles his way into their space until they have to accommodate him or risk falling off the couch. 

Last of all, who sings terribly in the shower?

oh dear god. you know what, I think it’d be really funny if it was Kagami. it’s boggling because he can sing perfectly well, they all know it, but for some reason when he’s alone and using the body wash as a microphone he lets loose and goes completely off-key and it’s awful. the others love it though (even if they’re confused) because it sounds like he’s having fun, at least.

This was a comic were Adrien finds out about Chat Blanc incident, this destroys him because he is aware of how dangerous he can be for the world, for Marinette.

Back at home, she tries to get closer to him, but Adrien begins to distance himself, he is afraid of hurting her, of getting out of control and partly angry with her for hiding something so important from him.

She admits that she never told him because she was sure he would react in that way.

They shout, fight, and throw things at each other. It all comes to a head when Adrien yells at her that it was all his fault, that he should have stayed with Luka and he with Kagami. Marinette is stunned and runs to lock herself in the room. Adrien reconsiders and tries to enter but she stops him.

Adrien leaves and does not return until night.

Enters through the window on his superhero suit and sees her sleeping, the traces of tears still on her cheeks.

He leans over and shakes it to wake her up. Marinette opens her eyes and sees Chat Noir in front of her with a gigantic bouquet of roses "like in the old days," he whispers, laughing softly.

The woman accepts the bouquet of roses only to throw it on the ground.

"Why don't you give them to Kagami?" she says, poisonous.

She brush his hair, Marinette knows he loves it. “I will take care of you and never let you get crazy, so don't worry" she kiss his forehead and then his cheeks, ended by a last one on the lips.

"I want to marry you so hard" he said and she open her big blue eyes with a gasp.

"I'll do it ..." Finally whispers.

"que?! Chat noir takes sit on the bed, a big smile around his face. "Really ?! b-but I don't have a ring, I ...” he looks at his hand for a moment and without hesitation takes his miraculous off. Plagg runs and Adrien didn’t waste time on out the ring in her finger. "Cool, now we just gotta go to the church tomorrow and-"

“Adrien” She gets his attention with a funny tone on her voice, “you gotta finished your physics major first, remember?”

“All I need for a weeding is you” Marinette laugh, her chicks are on that red tone that Adrien loves.

"Please ... please don't leave me." his voice is destroyed, he is destroyed and it was the worst feeling to assimilate. "Please ..." He repeats. "You promised". "I was scared" she said, sobbing as she climbs on the bed. "I-I thought there was a ghost on my window"

Adrien breath and hugs her tight to his body. "It is just your imagination"

"No it wasn't" she grins "Can I sleep here tonight?"

He don’t want to fight, Emma is stubborn as her mother so he nods.

"What about you?" She asked. "Why were you crying?"

"I had a dream" Adrien said and cover his daughter with the bedsheets.

"A bad dream?" He denies

"Just a dream"

So why were you crying silly? "

He opened his mouth but the words died on his Throat. "Emma can I ask you something?" She nods, putting her attention on her father. "Don't let papa get crazy"

The little girl laugh as the kid she is. "Trust me, dad." She finally says. "But you have to sing for me tonight.”

“'A kitty on a roof ...” He starts as Emma slowly close her green eyes, lost on the soft voice of her father.

"All alone without his lady ..." A shadow whispers, perfectly hidden on the balcony of the room. She is crying too, but no because she saw a ghost, because on the eyes of everybody, she was the ghost.

Marinette glanced at him unsure. Something in his tone alerted her. How did he know what they had been discussing here in the afternoon?

“I’m not sure yet… I feel a bit confused… Besides, I have only two lectures tomorrow, so it’s better to let it go? Vér will share her notes with me later.”

“It was long time ago. Now, I’m not so funny anymore for him. Besides… Besides he always thought I was dating him because Adrien was dating Kagami. Alya laughed.

“So… so two of my friends have been my teammates and I didn’t even know it?! Seriously, Chloe, Marinette, and now you… are ALL of my friends superheroes?!”

Adrien froze.

He slowly turned his head towards Nino.

Nino smirked.

“You’re Carapace.”

It was a statement, not a question.

“Of course I am, dude. Flirting with Rena would’ve been pretty awkward otherwise.”

“All of my superhero teammates are my civilian friends. Every time I’ve saved the day with any of my teammates, I was saving it with one of my friends. Not just superhero friends, but friends OUTSIDE of the mask.”

Adrien gave a loud, somewhat crazed laugh. “HA. If there were anymore superheroes, I’d ask whether KAGAMI had received a Miraculous too. Then ALL of my closest friends would be superheroes!”

He paused, a strange look coming over his face. He turned to Marinette. “…You haven’t been training Kagami to be a superhero in secret or anything, right?”

Marinette put up her hands. “NO, no, I would’ve told you if I was gonna do anything like that! Well, Chat-you, anyway. This is it for superhero reveals, I promise!”

He looked at her suspiciously, then nodded. “…Ok, I believe you. I’m just hoping this is the LAST of the earth-shattering revelations for today, because while this has been the second-best day of my life, I don’t think I can TAKE any more surprises, even if they’re all good ones!”

Marinette could understand that. Finding out that Chat was Adrien - meaning that Adrien was in love with her and that all the things she did and felt about Chat she’d done and felt with Adrien, and vice versa - was enough of a shock for her. But Adrien had had to deal with the shock of learning that she was Ladybug, she was in love with him, AND that two of his other friends were superheroes. If Marinette had been in his shoes, she’d have been about ready to keel over from the emotional overload.

She took another look at Adrien, at the exhaustion in his eyes even as he couldn’t stop from smiling.

She’d better stay close in case he DID keel over.

You realize you don’t need an excuse to get close to him right? her brain told her. It sounded suspiciously like Tikki.

I’m desperately trying to maintain a semblance of normalcy, she told her brain. I still have an akuma and half a school day to get through after this. I can’t afford to just go home and scream about everything for the next few hours, as much as I want to.

Her brain stayed silent at that, recognizing Marinette’s superior reasoning.

By the way, how old are you? Do you have any idea of Chat Noir’s true identity? There’s no way—

Marinette’s attention snapped back over to past Alya. It seemed that she’d missed some things, but nothing too important.

Adrien chuckled a little, though his smile was a little melancholy. “She’s fourteen, and she DIDN’T know my identity. And yes way. Though how I didn’t figure out HERS is beyond me. They’re both creative, fierce, kind leaders, and I REALLY should’ve figured it out.”

Alya sighed. “Honestly, I feel like if anyone was going to figure it out, I should have. I mean I’m the Ladyblogger, Rena Rouge, AND Marinette’s best friend. And really, the ‘Rena Rouge’ bit should’ve clued me in. Of COURSE Ladybug wouldn’t trust some random person she’d only talked to a handful of times, for a few minutes at a time. OF COURSE she knew me personally.”

Marinette shrugged. “Well I couldn’t figure out who CHAT was, and I made it my mission to learn everything I could about Adrien, so I wouldn’t feel bad about that.

Adrien blinked. “Wait, you did?”

Marinette froze. “Uh- I mean- oh look, Alya’s transforming!”

They turned to watch past Alya’s transformation.

Marinette breathed a sigh of relief. These flashbacks may be troublesome, but they made for GREAT distractions.

Alya especially seemed to be enjoying herself. She almost seemed to squeal as she watched her past self manifest her fox ears.

Marinette gave her a weird look.

Alya noticed. “What? I haven’t gotten to watch myself transform before, it was always an emergency and there was never a full-length mirror around!

Marinette chuckled. “Oh, Alya…”

Past Alya finished transforming, admiring herself as best she could. “This is so awesome! But I look like Lila when she was akumatized in this suit.”

Alya blinked. “Oh yeah, Lila!”

Her eyes narrowed. “Wait a second… Lila said that she and Ladybug are close, but you don’t like her much… when you said she was a liar all those times she’s videoconferenced the class, that was from personal experience, wasn’t it?”

Marinette nodded. “I was pretty shocked when I walked into school that day she first arrived to hear all this talk about her, and then see that video on the Ladyblog of her talking about what close friends we are. I’d never even MET her before! Then she used that lie to try to get close to Adrien, and well…”

Marinette looked down, slightly embarrassed. “…I kinda lost it. I don’t like liars, ESPECIALLY when they’re lying about ME to my friends. I transformed and confronted her. She ran off crying and a few minutes later, Volpina showed up. I apologized for outing her so publicly and viciously in front of Adrien after I purified her, but she still seemed pretty upset.”

She hesitated. This was just speculation, she wasn’t certain yet, but… “I think Volpina might have been responsible for that illusion of Chat and I fighting each other on Heroes Day. Volpina’s the only akuma so far that could pull off something like that.”

Alya frowned. “But wasn’t she supposed to be in Achu?”

Marinette shrugged. “She could’ve been lying. Wouldn’t be the first time.”

Alya looked down, thinking. I’ll have to be more careful about trusting Lila at her word. Just because she was lying about being friends with Ladybug, doesn’t mean she was lying about EVERYTHING. But I should probably check any claim she makes before assuming it’s true…

Out loud, she said something different. “I’ll take down that interview Lila gave about Ladybug. I SHOULD have tried to verify it with you first anyway. Reporters should always check their sources, and I… didn’t. Even though I had more ability to check with you than most. I’m sorry I let you down.”

Marinette put a hand on Alya’s shoulder, smiling at her comfortingly. “It’s OK. A LOT of people were fooled. If I hadn’t known FOR A FACT that she was a liar right out the gate, I might have been one of them. Just… maybe in the future, remember to check before believing everything you hear, OK? And don’t assume that the only reason I’m so angry and annoyed with someone is because I’m jealous. I have gotten jealous before; I admit that. But I have other reasons that I get angry, too.”

Alya winced. “Yeah… sorry girl. I shouldn’t have dismissed you like that for just fact checking Lila on Heroes Day. I should’ve fact-checked myself, as a journalist. I’ll try to do better. I don’t want to let you down.”

Marinette nodded. “You won’t. I’m sure of it.”

The world shifted, though only slightly. When it cleared they were still on the same night, but the location had changed… as had the people.

Rena Rouge and Ladybug jumped down from a rooftop as they rescued Chat Noir from the Sapotis, expertly dispatching them.

Past Rena Rouge squealed, “This is so insane! I have powers and I’m fighting supervillains!”

Past Chat Noir got up, seeing Rena Rouge for the first time. “Whoa! Who’s this superhero friend of yours? No offense, but I thought I was the only one!”

Past Ladybug introduced her, “Chat Noir, I like to meet…uh…”

“Uh…Rena Rouge! Yeah, my name is Rena Rouge!”

“Why is everyone ELSE so much better at coming up with superhero names on the spot?” Marinette groaned.

Alya shrugged. “Probably helps that both Chat and I had been dreaming of being superheroes for awhile. You kinda got dragged into it.”

Past Chat Noir seemed pretty curious about the new superhero.  “Well, sneaky fox, think you’ll be as sneaky as a cat?”

But Rena could give as good as she got. “I don’t know. Should we take bets?”

She rang past Chat’s bell, punctuating her question.  

Past Chat approved. He turned to past Ladybug. “Your friend seems pretty good.”

“I surround myself with only the best!”

“That you do, milady,” Adrien chuckled. “That you do.”

“Welcome to our team! If you need any cool superhero tips, you know where to come!”

Past Chat kissed Rena’s hand chivalrously.

Nino smirked at Adrien. “Do I have some competition, bro?”

Adrien went beet red. “What? No! I was just…”

Nino chuckled. “I was just joking. You’re clearly just interested in Marinette - Ladybug - Maribug, anyway.”

Adrien pondered that one. “Maribug… I like it! What do you think, milady?”

Marinette considered it. “Just be careful about only calling me that in private. It’s not TOO big a giveaway, but I don’t want to be dropping hints to my identity - in either form.”

Adrien smiled at her. “I would never purposely endanger your identity, my Lady. I’ll be careful.

Marinette blushed.

Rena wasn’t done. “Really? You’re gonna give me Ladybug’s phone number?”

“Kinda funny to think we all already HAD your number…” Alya said.

Chat seemed to LOVE the banter. “I have a feeling working with you is gonna be a lot of fun!”

The world blurred again. When the world cleared, they were, once again on the streets at night.

Past Ladybug and past Rena Rouge jumped down onto the street, Rena detransforming back into Alya.

Past Alya squealed. “That was unreal! “

“You’ve really helped us a lot. Thank you, Alya.” Ladybug held out her hand for the Fox Miraculous.

Past Alya was suddenly reluctant, covering up her Miraculous. “Uh… You know, if I held onto it, I could help you again.”

Alya winced. “Sorry I didn’t hand it over right away.”

Marinette shook her head. “I get it. You LOVED being a superhero; you didn’t want to give that up. Still, I’m glad you made the right choice.”

Past Ladybug was a little more insistent. “You made a promise.”

“Oh please, Ladybug?! We’d make a great team! I could help Chat Noir and you every day!”

Marinette sighed. “That WOULD be useful, but it’s just too dangerous. It’s not worth it… yet. Though with how much stronger the akuma are getting, it might be necessary soon.”

Alya tried not to look too eager.

Past Ladybug’s earrings beeped. “I’m about to transform back! Hurry!”

“Please?”

Ladybug ducked behind a door. “I have to go! I’m trusting you!”

Trixx turned to Past Alya. “You’re absolutely right, Alya. I’m sure the three of you would make quite the team! You have all the makings of a true superhero. You’re strong, brave; but most of all, you’re trustworthy.”

Alya sighed. “I’m REALLY glad Trixx talked me out of keeping it. I REALLY wanted to, but knowing that I would’ve broken not just Ladybug’s trust, but Marinette’s too? Superpowers aren’t worth that.”

Past Alya opened the door, placing the box with the Fox Miraculous on the ground where past Marinette could reach it, then shut the door.

Their surroundings blurred and bled, turning gray. The light jumped from Alya to the last member of their party - Nino.

Color returned, the world clearing.

The four of them looked around, trying to catch their bearings.

It didn’t take long to figure out where - and WHEN - they were.

Alya had only been stuck on a spider web once, after all.

“So I guess we really ARE visiting when all of us became superheroes,” Nino observed.

“Yeaaah…” Adrien seemed a little trepidatious.

“Is something wrong, dude?” Nino inquired, a little concerned.

“Just… there aren’t any more revelations left, right? I know Marinette said she hadn’t been training someone in private, so I know THAT’S out, but still…”

Nino shrugged. “Nothing I can think of. I mean, you were there for most of this. And you already know I’m Carapace.”

Adrien breathed out a sigh of relief, then grinned. “Well it should be fun seeing my best bud’s debut as a superhero again. You were AWESOME!”

Nino smiled back. “Thanks. That means a lot coming from you.”

Alya interjected, “As much as I LOVE your bromance, I want to see Nino being awesome some more. Shh!”

Nino and Adrien shut up, all four of them turning to watch past Nino confront Anansi.

“Alya!” he shouted, running towards her.

“Nino, don’t stick around.” she warned. But it was too late.

“Well, well, well. Look who it is.” Anansi said.

“Anansi! You let Alya go right now!” past Nino yelled, panting from having run the whole way.

“Oh yeah?” Anansi replied, jumping down from her web. “And how exactly is a weak little fly-weight gonna force me to release my prisoner?”

“…You didn’t have a plan, did you?” Marinette asked Nino.

Nino rubbed his neck sheepishly. “Well no, not really. I was hoping I’d come up  with one along the way. I couldn’t just leave Alya like that.”

Marinette sighed. “That was either really brave or really stupid.”

“Both. It was both,” Alya interjected. She turned and grinned at Nino. “But it was MY type of brave stupidity.”

Marinette buried her face in her hands. “I swear you two deserve each other,” she mumbled, “both of you are reckless.”

They all winced a little as Anansi blocked past Nino’s punch, picked him up, and sent him hurtling through the sky.

The world snapped to further away.

Past Ladybug sent out her yo-yo, snatching Nino out of the sky. “Watch out! You need to leave this to the professionals.”

Then she lowered him to the ground and swung off.

Past Nino IMMEDIATELY turned around and ran back towards Alya… and Anansi.

“Why did we get the friends with no self-preservation instinct?” Adrien wondered.

Marinette gave him a flat look.

“What?” he asked.

“You’ve sacrificed yourself for me MULTIPLE times. You don’t get to criticize anyone else for not having a self-preservation instinct, EVER.”

Adrien had the good sense to not try to counter that.

They jerked back to the Arc.

Only a couple minutes had passed, but a LOT had changed in those minutes. Chat Noir was ALSO captured in Anansi’s web, with no staff to defend himself with, having just thrown it, and Ladybug desperately trying to free her foot from one of Anasi’s stray webs.

Past Nino arrived just as Ladybug freed herself. “Are you okay, dude—uh, I mean, Ladybug?“

“Yeah, but we’re gonna need some help! Lucky Charm!”

A square candle appeared in her hands. Ladybug seemed to realize what it meant almost immediately. “A candle?  Of course! But I don’t have enough time to do a round trip.“

Nino frowned. “What did that candle tell you, anyway?”

Marinette smiled at him. “That I needed help. I… can’t really tell you much. I need to preserve whatever secrecy I can, but… it told me I needed to choose someone else to receive a Miraculous. I had to leave to retrieve one.”

Nino reassured her. “I understand. I don’t want to endanger you or anyone else. Being a superhero involves a LOT of secrets.”

“Maybe I could help you?“ past Nino asked Ladybug. She gasped.

He misinterpreted her gasp. “Uh, I get it. It’s cool. I’m no superhero. I’d tried to save Alya, but… guess I’m not strong enough.”

Both Alya and Adrien looked indignant at that. They both opened their mouths to speak… but Marinette stopped them, putting a finger to her lips and shaking her head. She gestured back to the scene.

“Let me tell you a secret, uh…”

Past Ladybug picked up Chat Noir’s staff.

“Nino. The name’s Nino.”

Alya and Nino both snorted at that. She knew his name FULL WELL.

“Nino. When you’re facing a supervillain, strength doesn’t make a difference. Courage and determination do.“

Adrien nodded. “The Miraculous supplies the strength. But it doesn’t make you courageous or determined. Only YOU can do that. And you have that in spades, Nino.”

He blushed. “Thanks.”

Past Ladybug handed past Nino Chat’s staff. “We can’t let Anansi get Cat Noir’s Miraculous. Use this to defend yourself and distract her. I won’t be long.”

She swung off. Nino stared at the staff for a moment.

He ran over towards Anansi, figuring out how to extend it just in time. As Anansi reached for Chat’s ring, he shouted up at her, “Hey arachnid!“

He swung at her with Chat’s staff. It didn’t do much good, she dodged it easily. She taunted him, “Wow, be careful. What are you trying to do with that little stick? “

Adrien pouted. “It’s a SUPER-COOL AND AWESOME stick.”

Past Chat was busy concentrating on other matters. He attempted to direct Nino’s flailing, “On your left; no, on your right. No, the other right! “

Anansi seized the staff, using it to fling past Nino to the ground again.

“NINO!” Marinette yelled, causing the other three to jump.

Adrien blinked. “Oh yeah, you weren’t here for this part. Nino was AWESOME!”

As Anansi turned around and walked back towards her captives, Chat’s staff slowly extended towards her. She barely dodged it in time.

When she looked back past Nino was on his feet again, holding the staff at the ready. “So, who’s the fly-weight now, huh?“

“YOU GO, NINO! SHOW HER WHO’S BOSS!” Alya yelled.

Nino looked a little confused. “You know all of this already happened, right?”

She kissed him on the cheek. “And it’s just as awesome seeing it the second time.”

He blushed.

Anansi grunted in frustration. “All right, big boy.”

She started walloping him with attacks. He had trouble getting up afterwards, and had to use Chat’s staff to prop himself up.

Anansi went back to taunting. “I suggest you stay down, cappie.”

Past Nino responded by extending the staff so it whacked her in the nose.

Adrien gave Nino an appraising look. “You know, if we ever need to switch around Miraculouses for some reason, you’d make a good Chat Noir. You’ve got the staff down.”

Nino blushed, embarrassed by all the praise he was getting. “Thanks dude.”

Anansi wasn’t so thrilled. “You’re gonna regret this, big time!“

Past Nino wasn’t intimidated. “You shouldn’t have underestimated me, legs!”

He charged at her again. Unfortunately, Anansi expected that. She grabbed him.

“Game over. Time to fly, lightweight!“ She tossed him through the air once again.

Again, Ladybug saved him.

The scene jerked over to Ladybug and Nino.

She set him down.

“Thanks, Ladydude—uh, I mean, Ladybug.”

“Thanks for dropping by…dude.” She fist-bumped past Nino’s shoulder.

Adrien chuckled. “After THAT performance, you deserved a fist-bump… dude.”

Past Ladybug turned serious. “I’m gonna need your help again. Do you still wanna save your friend?“

Past Nino declared, “I’ll do anything for her.“

Alya gave his present self a kiss on the cheek. “And that’s why you’re my hero.”

Nino looked delighted and a little confused. “But I thought Ladybug was your hero?”

Alya chuckled. “Ladybug’s my idol, role model, and best friend. But YOU are my boyfriend and my hero. You’re one of the bravest, most determined people I know, Nino.”

She gave a bemused glance at Adrien and Marinette. “Though admittedly, you have some STIFF competition there.”

Past Ladybug presented past Nino with a wooden jewelry box. “Nino Lahiffe, this is the Miraculous of the turtle, which grants the power of protection. You will use it for the greater good.”

Past Nino opened the box, causing a green light to shoot out. “Woah, dude!”

The light died down to reveal a small floating green turtle. “Hello, my name is Wayzz. “

Nino was THRILLED to see his kwami again, even if this was only a flashback. “Wayzz is fantastic! We actually worked out a special friendship handshake one of the times Ladybug called on us.”

“A special friendship handshake?” Adrien asked, stars in his eyes.

“Yeah dude…” Nino noticed Adrien’s reaction. “…you want to make one too?”

Adrien nodded eagerly.

Nino laughed “Let’s work on it after we’re done with this and defeating the akuma. It’ll be great!”

Past Nino seemed fascinated. “Hey little guy, what are you, a genie like in those fairy tales?“

“I’m not the only one who thought that!” Adrien crowed.

“I am a kwami. I can’t grant wishes, but I can give you super powers.“

“Even better, in my opinion,” Adrien said.

“Once the job is done, you must return the Miraculous to me. Can I trust you?”

“You bet, dudette.”

“You never hesitated to return the Miraculous, did you,” Alya said. It was phrased like a question, but it sounded more like a statement of fact.

“He didn’t,” Marinette confirmed.

Alya smiled. “I figured as much. Nino’s honourable to a fault. He wouldn’t do that.”

Nino just blushed even harder. His friends were gonna kill him with praise.

“Then all you have to say is: ‘Wayzz, shell on!’”

“Wayzz, shell on!”

The four of them admired Carapace’s transformation sequence.

Adrien was especially amazed. “You look SO COOL while transforming! With the break-dancing and the spinning… you make MY transformation look boring!”

Nino grinned. “I know, right? I looked rad!”

Past Nino (now Carapace) laughed. “That’s crazy!

“Stay focused! We have to hurry before Cat Noir transforms back. And we need him to save Alya. Lucky Charm! “

A pair of boxing gloves appeared.

“Boxing gloves? You’re not gonna fight Anansi directly, are you?”

“Why not? It’s a simple plan, but you have to protect us — me, Chat Noir and Alya. You’ve already proved you’re capable of doing it.”

“Moreso than I even knew,” Marinette told his present self, looking proud.

They jerked back to the ground, though with a slight time skip.

The Arc was crumbling.

Ladybug went to save Chat Noir, while Carapace went to save Alya.

“It’s all up to you, Captain Turtle,” Ladybug shouted at Carapace. “Use your power now!“

“ At your service, dude— “

Nino and Adrien groaned.

“So that’s how she figured-”

“Why didn’t I figure-”

They stopped and stared at each other, then laughed.

Nino turned to Alya. “That’s how you knew I was Carapace, wasn’t it?”

Alya smirked. “Well… that and a few other things.”

Her look softened. “You’d been running towards Anansi this entire time, trying to do whatever you could to help, no matter the danger. Suddenly you disappear and Carapace appears? And ‘Nino’ isn’t seen again for the rest of the fight? It wasn’t hard to figure out. Because there’s no way you’d leave me. You NEVER leave me. Ever.”

Nino teared up.

Adrien had his own concerns about it. “Seriously, why didn’t I figure it out? I never even considered that you could be Carapace!”

Nino frowned. “Actually, why DIDN’T you consider it, dude?

“Because-” Adrien paused, his eyes widening as he really thought about it. He spoke slowly. “Because… I didn’t think I could POSSIBLY be that lucky. My best friend being chosen to be one of my teammates? There was no way.”

He chuckled to himself. “If only I knew…”

“Uh, Ladybug,” Carapace quickly corrected. “Shelter! Shiaah!”

A huge green shield surrounded them from all directions, cutting the web and dropping them down to ground level.

Past Chat pouted at Ladybug. “You’re not really replacing me with a turtle, are you?“

Anansi emerged from the rubble, looking pissed.

Past Ladybug had other things on her mind. “Not now, kitty.“

She picked past Chat up and hurled him at Anansi. “Throw like a ladybug, scratch like a cat!”

Anansi’s helmet broke on contact with Chat’s cataclysm.

Past Ladybug promptly de-evilized the akuma.

Adrien chuckled. “Feel free to throw me around whenever you like, milady.”

Marinette blushed. “Shut up, Chat,” she mumbled, embarrassed. It was one thing KNOWING Adrien was Chat Noir, it was another hearing those lines coming out of his mouth.

Nora returned to normal, leaving her a little confused, “The Beetle and Mister Whiskers? What’s going on here?”

Past Chat and Past Ladybug prepared for a fist-bump when Chat’s Miraculous started beeping.

He started running off. “Uh, sorry, guys, but I’ve gotta split!”

Before he could leave, past Ladybug called after him. “Chat Noir!”

He stopped running, looking back at her.

“You know you’re irreplaceable.”

Past Chat smiled and nodded before running off to detransform.

“I stand by that,” Marinette told Adrien. “No matter how many people I recruit, no matter how many people are added to our team, you will ALWAYS be special to me, mon minou.

Adrien blushed. “I know, it’s just…”

He looked down. “I- I’ve never had friends before, except for Chloe. And after Mother disappeared… I’m afraid of losing people.”

Nino put a hand on his shoulder. “You’re not gonna lose us, dude.”

Alya did so as well. “You’re not ditching us THAT easily.”

Marinette took a different approach and kissed him on the cheek. “We’re not going anywhere.”

Adrien blinked rapidly, rubbing his eyes. When he spoke his voice was hoarse and choked-up, “Th-thanks, everyone. Thanks SO MUCH.”

They smiled back at him.

Past Carapace and past Ladybug fist-bumped. “Pound it!”

Past Alya wasn’t going to just let things end there. She got out her camera and started filming Carapace. “Whoa, this is a first for the Ladyblog. A brand new superhero! What’s your name?”

Carapace hesitated, trying to come up with something. “Uh… huh. Carapace. Call me Carapace.”

Marinette grumbled. “I swear, everyone else is WAY better at coming up with superhero names on the spot than I am.”

“Oh, I dunno,” Adrien told her, smiling. “I think ‘Ladybug’s” pretty good.”

She blushed.

“See you later, bugheads!” Ladybug called out. She and Carapace ran off to detransform.

The world jerked slightly to follow them.

They ended up in a small alley.

“Shell off!”

Past Nino gave the jewelry box back to Ladybug.

“Thank you for trusting me.”

Ladybug smiled back at him. “You were a true superhero, Nino.“

He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.

“You were a true hero even before you put on the miraculous, Nino,” Alya told him. “You wouldn’t stop trying to save me, to protect Chat and I, no matter what.”

Nino blushed. “I just wanted to help my friends - and girlfriend.”

“And that’s what makes you a hero,” Adrien told him.

The world shattered.

“Ooph!”

The four of them fell on the ground, the remaining shards of the bubble they’d been trapped in disintegrating around them.

They looked around wildly, trying to regain their bearings.

“Where- what-” Marinette stuttered, then remembered. “The akuma!”

Alya, Nino, and Adrien blinked back. “The… oh yeah!” they shouted simultaneously.

“I’ll go and hide with my parents-”

“I need to get something-”

Marinette and Adrien turned to look at each other and laughed.

Alya and Nino smirked.

“You two do what you need to do,” Alya told them. “And if you need any help…”

“…We know where to find you,” Marinette finished.

Marinette and Adrien ran off - together this time.

A lot had changed in the past hour. They were in more danger from Hawkmoth than ever before.

But the four of them would face the danger together as a team, and more importantly, as friends.

Now that every episode of S3 has aired, I’m going to be watching Heart Hunter/Loveater and Miracle Queen. And so, I present to you, my thoughts on Battle of The Miraculous:

Ahem,

I WAS LITERALLY IN THE PROCESS OF WRITING MY THOUGHTS ON HEART HUNTER BUT MY LAPTOP SHUT DOWN AND DECIDED TO UPDATE

Which was super annoying, cause I was halfway through the episode. But I’ve managed to remember most of it

Anyway, that was annoying, but I still remember what I wrote:

- Marinette narrating in the beginning about loss, was honestly a big oof, since I know what happens in these two episodes

- Ugh, Cat was being petty about making LB jealous for sure

- Luka and LUKANETTE WAS SO CUTE I’M-- I love him so much, and I love them. They’re the light of my life right now. (also when he finishes Marinette’s melody, it’s totally going to be the theme of the show) THE BIKE RIDING AND CHEEK KISS WAS CUTE TOO

- Heart Hunter’s design is bad (Gabriel also totally gave them that cloak so they’d get pissed at each other)

- Adrigaminette rights!!!

- Adrien has a crush on both Ladybug, Kagami and Marinette, change my mind (He was smitten when he saw her with her hair out, like seriously) Rip to him scrolling through LB’s photos too, I felt bad but I had to laugh

- Kagami watching Adrien play piano is the softest shit, I died (Kagami and Adrigami in general is great in this episode)

- Also I freaked out when Adrien was grabbing Mari’s hand, and just hers. Like boy stop denying your feelings.

- Andre didn’t say poly rights but he did say Kagaminette rights

And now, back to where I left off in the episode:

This... holy shit this finale was good. Like... damn I loved how it ended. There were some good moments that I appreciated, and all together it was really nice.

I need to know how season 4 is going to pick up after this one, so much has changed. I want this show to be better, I really do, and I’m hoping the next season really takes the wind out of us.

Adrien got off the car with a spring in his step. Things were good between him and Ladybug again. The previous night, after their reconciliation, they joked, he made puns and she laughed, actually laughed. They decided to race over the rooftops just for fun and he basked in her happiness with the moonlight illuminating her features. It felt like a dream.

His friends were near the school entrance, he would just say hello as he had done the last two weeks, but decided against it. He couldn’t keep avoiding Marinette whenever she was with Luka. It wasn’t her fault that he was such an idiot and lost his chance with her. She was a friend, someone that he could always count on and he was not willing to give that up. He marched to them with a practiced smile on his face. Marinette was giggling from something Alya had said.

“Good morning guys. What’s so funny?” He directed his question to Marinette.

“Ah. Just Alya bragging about her blog.” She giggled again when Alya playfully shoved her arm.

“Hey, it’s not funny. It’s really cool. Have you seen my blog today Adrien?” Alya asked bouncing on her feet.

“No. Something new?” His mind went to the night before when he and Ladybug raced across the city; maybe she had gotten images from that.

“Totally new. Ladybug and Chat Noir were seeing yesterday night joking and laughing over the rooftops, unfortunately I don’t have images, but… I have something much better. Look.”

Alya shoved her phone in Adrien’s hand; it was a video with Ladybug’s face in it as if she had made it herself. He hit play.

“Hello Paris. I know that all of you are wondering what happened this morning. It was a very close call. You probably have noticed that things between me and Chat Noir were... different too. I’ve passed for some personal problems and somehow let this interfere in my duties as Ladybug. I’m here to reassure you that this won’t happen again. Chat Noir and I had a conversation and with his help I will manage my problems; he is aware of them now and it was all I needed. Hawkmoth don’t keep your hopes up, I won’t give in. I’m stronger than ever now.”

Her tone in the beginning was soft, insecure even, but grew stronger until in the end it was threatening, the same tone she used during the battle against Stone Heart. That was his lady.

“Wow. She apologized.” Adrien was surprised by this. She hadn’t told him she would do that, otherwise he would be by her side, it was his fault too. Well he wasn’t about to argue with her. “How did you get this video?” he was curious.

“She sent me. It was very late and I only saw it this morning. I posted it immediately. Isn’t it awesome?! She sent it to my blog and not to the press. I’m on cloud nine.”

“It shows” Adrien laughed at her antics. “But, well, your blog is a reliable source for the superhero stuff, so it makes sense that she sent it to you. And the press can get it from there and spread it, right?”

“Adrien’s right. She probably knows that you won’t manipulate the video or just didn’t want to give commercial advantage to a TV channel. Well your blog is dedicated to her and Chat Noir, so…” Or she’s your best friend and trusts you – Marinette added mentally.

“You guys should get going.” Luka said “See you for lunch, Mari”. He kissed her cheek.

“Wait. How about we have lunch together, all of us?” Adrien asked and the others looked at him surprised, he felt guilty for neglecting his friends “I’m having lunch with Kagami and I wanted to properly introduce her to you.”

“Are you sure that your girlfriend will want to join us peasants, dude?” Nino asked half-joking, half-serious.

“What? Who called you that? It sure wasn’t Kagami. She’s eager to join the crew.”

“It was Chloé actually, but since you have been distant…” Nino said with a hurt expression.

“I’m sorry, I’ve been busier lately and had some problems troubling me. That’s all.”

“It’s ok Adrien.” Marinette intervened “We can have lunch together. Is it ok to you Luka?”

“Of course, see you guys latter. Now, go!” He shoved them inside the school; Marinette turned her head to stick her tongue at her boyfriend what just made him laugh. Adrien couldn’t help the twinge of jealousy, but he was the only one to blame.

 The lunchtime was a bit awkward to Marinette, she had talked to Kagami before when Adrien introduced them months ago, but now she was dating him. She had her arms around his waist when they arrived and she made sure to show off how great Adrien was as a boyfriend. Marinette was about to explode with jealousy, so she focused on her own boyfriend. Now lunch was going on smoothly, at least for her.

In the other side of the table, Adrien was bored. He faked interest in Nino’s conversation about games, but in front of him was Marinette engaged in a conversation about a band in USA with her boyfriend and at his side was Kagami, talking non-stop with Alya about none other than Ladybug.

Adrien wanted to scream. Why? When he started dating her, he wanted to take Ladybug out of his head, but it proved impossible. Kagami was obsessed with her. They shared many interests and it was great, but this one… And now, it had been ten minutes already that he was hearing the two girls praising Ladybug’s deeds. Not that he thought she didn’t deserve it, she did. However he would prefer not hear it. Being reminded of how wonderful she is wasn’t helping to cure his still broken heart. He needed to do something.

The blond model looked at Kagami’s untouched plate and smirked, she hated when he stole her food. He reached for his fork and silently, like the cat he was, stole every carrot in her plate.

“What are you doing Agreste?” Oh, it worked “You stole my carrots. I can’t believe it, give them back.” She was angry.

“You weren’t eating.” He popped one piece of carrot in his mouth.

“Why didn’t you get the broccolis?”

“You love carrots.” He teased.

“You just want to pester me, your dork. Give them back.” She tried to reach for the carrots, but he held the plate above his head.

“Dudes, you’re fighting over carrots. Who on earth fight over carrots?” was Nino’s exasperated question seeing his best friend being so silly.

The others at the table giggled and Marinette once more felt jealous about how comfortable they were.

“I propose a deal” Adrien said at last.

“What deal?”

“I give you the carrots back and you and Alya stop talking about Ladybug.”

“Why? Ladybug is awesome.” Kagami replied incredulous.

“I completely agree with you, but you two were talking about her for ages.” He complained. Kagami took advantage of his moment of distraction and snatched her carrots back.

Just to tease Adrien, Kagami and Alya started to talk about Ladybug again. Nino and Luka exchange a look and added to the conversation. Adrien pulled at his hair.

“Fine. You want war, that’s what you’ll have.”

Marinette became redder than her Ladybug costume. She was basically witnessing a contest of who could praise her alter-ego more. To make matters worse, Adrien was winning. She rested her head on the table and looked at Tikki that was stifling a giggle. Marinette gave in and busted into laugh. Five pairs of curious eyes looked at her.

“You guys are worse than Manon.” She said when her laugh subdued, just to start laughing again, followed by her friends.

Well, they would never be allowed at that restaurant again. Fortunately there wasn’t a paparazzi there.

Dark Side of Dimensions - A Lance Review

So yeah, got back from watching DSoD, and first and foremost, let me just tell you, the animation was stunning.  Aside from a few lolquality shots, but more on that later haha.  Spoilers below--I repeat, SPOILERS--(and given this is the dub, I’ll be using the dub names; expect an update with the originals whenever I get to see JP!DSod):

1. Acting: solid for the most part, especially coming from the veterans we haven’t seen since DM.  Téa, Joey, Tristan, Bakura, Duke... They all sounded spot-on.  Even Duke’s dad’s voice was appropriate.  Dan Edwards NAILED it as Aigami/Diva; there were his laidback scenes, but then he really shone in his more emotional scenes, like when he confronts Bakura or when he voices over Joey’s running through his crumbling memory world, and he was also good during his Ring comeback.  Sera sounded good, if just a tiny bit high-pitched for my liking, but otherwise no complaints.  KAIBA... While I’d still like it if he went back to his Duelist Kingdom voice for him, nothing about Stuart’s performance took me out of it.  His delivery on the quality 4K lines I’ll get to got a few chuckles out of me, haha.  Dan Green was perfect.  Remains to be seen how well he does compared to Kazama, but his line delivery was on point, emotional scenes or otherwise.  I do like how he voiced those lines about Atem leaving; as extraneous as some of those lines are, he does get across the angst that Yugi must’ve felt. 

2. Visuals: Again, the animation alone is worth the price of admission! Being the geek that I am, I was taking notes on my phone throughout the movie (mainly for any lines that stuck out because lol4K but also for other key stuff), and I definitely noticed some Ebina and Kagami in there (specifically, the “Where are they? They’re running late” Yugi scene and the Yugi/Atem smile staredown scene), but the best was that awesome Takahashi cut of Yugi setting up his Duel Disk against Aigami.  Such detail, much flow... It looked hella good.  One lolQUALITY shot I remember is the shot after Kaiba comes down to meet Yugi post-Aigami and they exchange some words; oh Yugi.  Oh, also, that was totally Junpei Ogawa who animated the glorious Atem returns scene with the Puzzle glowing.  Had to be.  In terms of backgrounds, Joey’s dream world crumbling looked pretty, and overall things looked sharp and detailed; think backgrounds in ARC-V.  I’m amazed they didn’t take the chance to make this a 3D movie... Speaking of ARC-V, one of the Plana kids was totally Masumi.  That explains where she’s been throughout this war... 

3. Script: ALRIGHT.  My FAVORITE part.  So, for what it’s worth, I think the script overall came out alright.  There were many parts that sounded like they’d be lifted from the Japanese version (Kaiba’s “It’s not a Monster--it’s a GOD!” line reminded me of Tsuda so much), and they surprisingly kept “Solid Vision” when he mentions Duel Links.  The scene with the Ring taking out Shadi seemed alright to me, too.  They did add a few offhand lines (like the gag with Bakura’s accent, Yugi’s “My cardio stinks” [same], or “You fight me with fRUIT?!”), which were fun, but there were more 4K-isms that made me sorta groan because I could tell they wouldn’t be there.  From my notes, they are:

Joey jumping down to Aigami with Kudaragi, stumbling: “That was on purpose!”

Kudaragi: “We got ways of making you cry, and I don’t mean an onion!”

Kaiba’s talk of his Atem simulation: “Quiet, you sniveling syncophants!”; “...to imitate his skills...his perfectly coiffed hair--that part took the longest” made me laugh, lol

Kaiba, after throwing a bottle: “Have the engineer who developed that bottle fired. KaibaCorp’s bottles shouldn’t bend that easily” PFFT. Also why.

Kaiba, on why it took Yugi 8 years to finish the Puzzle: “Because he’s a simple-minded child;” I think at this point, “was” would be more appropriate, no?

Kaiba to his Puzzle Assemblerbot’s system exposition: “Don’t you think I know that?”; its response: “I’m aware that you like to be reminded of your genius” or similar; also lol’d.

Aigami explaining Joey a thing: “Oh, you’re the slow one, aren’t you?” Because character shots fired

Yugi using Lemon to attack Kaiba: “Make some lemonade out of that!” why

Lots of 4K’s typical move punch-ups ala ARC-V, like “Bring the pain, Pandemic Dragon” or “Unleash your fury, Blue-Eyes!”; Yugi saying that Celtic Guard would cut something’s ATK down to size made me think we lost out on an effect explanation.  Also, why don’t they just call these “effects” and not “[special] abilities” already

And the good/funny:

Aigami, responding to Kudaragi’s goon saying he’s history: “No, history is remembered” bc OH SNAP

EDIT: How could I forget Atem’s “I take it you want to duel?”/Kaiba: “I didn’t come all this way to dance!” dance duel revolution when konami

Atem: “Not bad...”; Kaiba: “Got that right!”

Atem, in classic sore wa dou ka na fashion: “I beg to differ.”

Kaiba’s lead excavator or Roland, I forget, when Kaiba gets to the site: “You grace us with your presence”

The aforementioned “It’s not a Monster--it’s a God!”

Kaiba, leaving his duel with Aigami: “Aigami! To be continued!” which instantly made me hear “Roundabout” in my head (I love JoJo)

Joey, after Kaiba reveals the plane blowing up was Solid Vision: “You owe me a new pair of drawers!”

Yugi, to Kaiba trying to control things with Bakura taken: “Now, back off or we’re going to have a problem!” Because DAMN.

4. Music: So the music was surprisingly well-done, and I have to give credit where it’s due to Michael Brady and the other composers and editors who worked on it! It flows like a score should, with plenty of moments of silence (which sounds really nice for a 4K production), there were a few really nice pieces, and they generally fit the mood of the scenes; the music wasn’t just there like it tends to be in their series dubs (especially ARC-V given the treasure that its score is replacing).  As a fan of nostalgia, having grown up with the 4Kids dub, I appreciated the “I’m Back” use, as well as the “Kaiba Hacker” theme (seemed to be from that awful Duel Madness song, but the instrumental is hella nice).  I’m super disappointed that we lost out on “To Believe in Something” for what sounds like a drum-n-bass remix of YGO Theme (which was ok, but like, ehh). Also, according to the credits, “One Card Short” played, but I don’t remember hearing it... Very eager to hear the placements in the Japanese version. (And to rescore the dub to those placements hehe)

5. Side-Notes: -So while Yugi’s working in the Game Shop, we see he has a game called “Dice Panic.” Is that Duke’s? -When Aigami summons his Cubic King against Yugi (I think it was), its name rolls off the screen for it; unintentional editing goof, I’d think. -People were saying the duels were kind of blowing by fast, but moves didn’t seem to be going that quickly to me. Remains to be seen if we lost out on some helpful explanations though. -The end credits touched on the Japanese staff, but unlike BBT’s, made no mention of any of the animators. :|

So, overall, if you’re a fan of the franchise, you’ll enjoy this movie; I feel like I’d have liked it a bit more if I got to finish the manga like I’d wanted to before seeing it, but hey, that’s what the DVDs’ll be for.  Wish Viz could release these 3-in-1s sooner... I’m still super curious about what got cut from the originally 3hr runtime this movie would’ve had, too.  I’m glad I got to go by myself so I could appreciate it before dragging a few friends along who’ll likely rip on it here/there, lol.  Have fun when you go see it! I just have a bone to pick with someone over an Obelisk card I should’ve gotten

ive seen MadaGuy and KisaGuy around a bit more often and I gotta say, why?

I know two beefcakes / two op as fuck beefcakes together is cool and hot, but Guy doesn't even know them 🤣 Guy didn't even have the decency to remember Madara's name, despite basically dying to him for almost nothing.

Although he did make Madara think he was going to die, everyone has to admit that a kick so strong it can shatter bones as hard as tungsten as if it was a very crumbly cookie. Isn't going to do much to a god who has the insane healing abilities of all nine beasts inside him.

If Guy wasn't going to remember Madara after that, good luck being remembered Kisame 🤣 cause Guy didn't even consider you that big of a threat

Ok ok ok but the absolute disrespect to Madara is ten times worse than Kagami. Not because of the war, but because of the past.

Uchiha Madara is a founder of Konoha. It was him and Hashirama's treaty and pulling together the clans that created the first shinobi village.

And even if Madara isn't remembered for that, or in a good light at all, he is remembered. when Obito is parading around claiming to be madara, people are scared because of the legacy Madara left behind.

Madara is a known shinobi. A legendary Konoha shinobi.

what Gai did in boruto is the equivalent of Omoi meeting the edo tensined third raikage and going "who are you?"

There is no way Gai should not know who TF Uchiha Madara is and i cackle everytime because he's not just disrespecting the man who tried to destroy the world. He's disrespecting a founder of his own damn village. There was a statue dedicated to this man that everyone knew about.

I love KisameGai because it's a nice 'enemies to lovers' trope that's fun to explore. I have AU's where i've put them together on some level, and i enjoy exploring them as a couple. To say Gai didn't consider Kisame a threat is incorrect, because Gai used the seventh gate. A move that did so much damage to his body he couldn't be there to fight against Kabuto, which might have made the diffrence in Tenzo's capture.

And at the end of the day, when Kisame decided to sacrifice himself to protect the secrets of the akatsuki, Gai respected him. He said "I will never forget him" because for Gai it's not about strength. it never has been

it's about heart. determination.

Gai respects those who will do what they have to to protect the people they consider important to them, and Madara never did that. Kisame did.

KisameGai is a beautiful ship that's fun to explore

I personally don't like madara/gai because 1) age gap (we all know not my thing), 2) madara is dead when they meet and that makes my skin crawl 3) Gai just has so little respect for a litteral founder and influential figure of Konoha that he has to have learned about at the acadamy and in daily life that he couldn't even remember his name years later

Madara/Gai to me is funny because if anything it's Madara looking at Gai and going 'nice' and Gai just...ignoring him. Not even caring
