Quick Amangela hanahaki (spelling?????) au i wrote on the bus a while ago:

Amanda sits on the cubicle floor, dabbing at her lips with a flimsy paper towel. It comes away crimson-stained. She groans, leaning her head back against the cubicle wall - hygiene is not her biggest concern at the moment.

Beside her, the sides of the toilet bowl are smeared with dark red and fragments of thistles. She let's out a small sob, drawing her hand to her mouth immediately and wretching in pain. The jolt in her throat from the sob stung, scratched and scored by the thorns.

Amanda takes a moment to collect herself, gently but shakily wiping stray tears from her cheeks. She stands up and brushes a pale pink petal into the toilet before flushing it away along with the blood.

Out of sight, out of mind.

Later

"Hey, Mandy?"

Amanda's heart leaps; her chest aches and her throat stings.

She swings around to face the voice.

"Yeah?" She smiles, "What's up, Ange?"

Angela freezes, then pulls Amanda's face closer to her as she closes the distance between them.

Amanda feels the thistles clawing at her throat.

"The fuck is all this?" Angela whispers, inspecting the corners of her friend's lips, "it looks like blood, Jesus Christ..."

She pulls away. "Are you okay?"

"yeah I'm fine, I'll...I'll be back in a minute, 'kay?"

Amanda rushes back to the bathroom, the one designated for crying. Nobody would disturb her there.

She knows. She knows that the only way to get better is to tell Angela. But she can't, of course. It wouldn't matter anyway. Angela would just laugh, she'd think she was joking. And she'd never like her back, never in a million-

"Hey, Amanda? Can I come in?" Angela questions from outside the door, "I'm worried about you, like really worried. You aren't telling me shit."

Amanda crawls the few feet to the door, unlocking it to quickly return to the sink where she furiously scrubbed at her lips, tears streaming.

"Fuck!" Angela shuts and locks the door, "Mandy, stop! Amanda!"

Angela's eyes are wide as she pulls Amanda's hand away from her face, leaving the tap running. She pulls her into a tight hug, afraid of letting her go.

"what's going on with you?"

Amanda sighs into Angela's hair, holding her as close as she could.

"I've been meaning to tell you something...for a while,"

I was listening to the podcast with Aisha and Oliver and they got to the cursed storyline that we all hate. And I just love how Aisha is pointing out how people were like since when did this show suddenly care about realism. I know she was saying other people said it but a part of me thinks that’s what she thought too lol

I admit I was a little confused by the wording here but if I'm reading it right you're talking about when Aisha discussed Bobby's death, and how the show didn't kill off characters, but Timmy here decided it "wasn't realistic" that the main characters never died. I agree with you - I could be wrong in how I interpreted what Aisha said but - in my opinion she was saying, "we're dragged online all the time for not being realistic, THIS is how you want to change that? We've had eight seasons enjoying not caring about realism and NOW you care? for THIS?"

Last season Bobby was "dead" for far, far too long. Medical experts and even just people with common sense and the ability to google were like hey, he shouldn't be able to recover mentally, if you're without oxygen for that long you're brain dead. Tim knew this. He didn't care. He literally said he didn't care. He wanted the drama.

So yeah, using the "we have to be realistic" argument is absolute bullshit and from my understanding of what Aisha was saying, yes, she absolutely agrees with us that it's bullshit for him to say that.

You want a show with realism you watch The Pitt. You want a show for campy fun you watch 9-1-1. It was a comfort show for many. We had a shark on the freeway! A tsunami in Los Angeles!

In killing off Bobby the show betrayed itself. And while Aisha is far, far too classy to say "yeah this was bullshit and I'm pissed as fuck" in an interview, I think you could tell that she agreed with the outrage. The cast has been very clear (well, Kenny and Athena and Peter and now Aisha and I think also Oliver? so I think we can infer everyone is on the same page here) that they disagreed with and were deeply upset by the decision, with varying levels of diplomacy in how they express their opinion. Which honestly... pisses me off more than the actual story.

To me, the story is paramount. The story trumps all else. I don't care if I fucking hate your guts beyond all reason, if I was an actor and you were my costar playing my romantic interest, I am going to give it all I've fucking got, because I'm not going to ruin the story. I believe in that very strongly. Whatever is going on in your real life or behind the scenes, you drop it the moment it comes to your art, no matter what medium that art takes. You owe it to your audience. You ask them to trust you to follow you on this journey, and so in return you need to be worthy of that trust.

However, at the end of the day, a story is fiction. If you're in an abusive work environment, don't put up with it. Quit. If you need time off, take time off. Real people always matter more. There is a big difference between "I'm a closeted queer person and being a messy bitch about it so I'm going to throw a bitch fit if they make my character queer because god forbid I separate church and state a little" or "my coworker is an entitled arrogant asshat and so I hate kissing him" and "my boss is sexually harassing me" or "the crew is being forced into dangerous working hours that will get them killed." Y'know? Drama versus wellbeing. Fix your damn self versus save yourself.

And so what makes me angriest is that real people got hurt in this. The audience is hurt because you took advantage of the trust you built with them. Those are real people who trusted you. Your cast is hurt, because you betrayed them. You hurt them. Real people. They didn't want you to do this. At least two of them have admitted they begged you not to. And you ignored them, because power was more important to you than taking care of the people who are your responsibility.

Stay classy, Aisha. I'd die for you. If your husband ever takes you for granted I am outside your home with roses. Also you're so valid for falling in love with Bear please hug him for me and tell him I love him muchly.

The Rink-o-mania scene was foreshadowing stuff in s5 and it has to do with an attack El will deal with

At the rink o mania scene, Angela drags her down to the roller rink, and the bullies surround her and start mocking her. Then, that dude throws milkshake at her and she falls. That could be foreshadowing a fight in s5, lemme demonstrate.

Now, don't demobats also fly in circles when they want to attack? Yes, they do. We saw that right before eddies death, as he was fighting them.

Let's say the bullies are demobats.

Something drags El into the battlefield, she's clueless atm (just like with Angela) but then a bunch of demobats distract her. Why? Because everything is connected to vecna in the ud, and Vecna knows El would be there

Now, the milkshake could also forshadow demogorgon venom (?) Idk. But it seems like after that, els gonna get spayed with it.

As they surround her, she first falls, looses control but then remembers what happened in s4, and probs how she hit Angela with the skate and she tries to defeat the bats.

Plus, before that, El and will argued about her lying to Mike. Lately I've been thinking and I found many clues that he could be a villain (including this one). In the roller rink he is seen alone, after the mileven happy scene, that could easily be used in a villain arc idk.

And what if willel also argue in s5? What if a possessed will drags El down to the battlefield to get her attacked? What if the whole bully scene was just to help El fight the bats or any other creature?

Adding to this, we know part of the hive mind got trapped in a demogorgon in the Russian plot What if that also happens in s5?

The prank war in bmw season 7 was low-key so funny to me because like... there was only three pranks.

1. They put her car in her dorm room, how do you even manage that, that's impressive as hell. Did they take it apart and put it together piece by piece in her room?

2. Rachel was going for the kill at this point. She really went "exit pursued by getting mauled to death by bear" What.

3. They put a pinup photo of her up for everyone to see. Not okay, definitely. But also you know they didn't try to kill her. But still definitely yikessss.

How I imagine a proposal would go

I think it would be really funny it's almost no one knew that Angela and Genji were a couple until they were engaged. People like Cassidy, Lena, rein, (once they joined OverWatch) kiriko and Hanzo would have known and would have known about Genji planning on proposing. But everyone else either never noticed because they weren't very obvious about it, like they didn't do much PDA, and their version of flirting when I'm front of people could easily be mistaken for making fun of each other. Or because they just never picked up on it at all.

Genji probably planned a whole dinner at a restaurant and a whole romantic thing but either in the middle of the dinner right before he was about to ask or right before they left for the dinner and emergency happens and theyre call out to a mission. And once they successfully neutralize the threat and their back on the ship surrounded by their teammates/friends, after Cassidy says something about feeling bad for them that their plans didn't end up happening/got ruined. Genji just goes "you know what screw it", took off his helmet, and proceeds to get down on one knee in front of Angela and give a mini speech proposal that he learned in German just to make it more special(Rein found out genji's plans because he asked if he could help Genji learn to say what he wanted to say I'm German). Angela says yes (even though it was hard to make out through the ugly sobbing) and full on kissed genji as he picks her up and does a cute little spin thing, with everyone on the ship either cheering and celebrating or being in total confusion and shock because they didn't even know the two were together to begin with. So half of them are just jaw dropped, happy but jaw dropped.

For an added little extra bit of drama, Pharah had no idea Genji and mercy were thing and had been a thing for ages now, Angela never told her. And it clicks why mercy did not reciprocate feelings, but still in just such shock that she wasn't told and this is how she found out. She just kind of frozen in place staring blankly at the two with her mouth hanging open.

And back to happy happy, after Genji said screw it Cassidy realized what he was about to do and pulled out his phone or got Lena to pull out hers and made sure to record everything for them.

Additionally this was one of the first times a majority of people in that room had seen genji's face, obviously Hanzo and kiriko had seen his face before same with Angela. But even Cassidy hadnt fully seen his face, as even when in black watch they worked really closely together, if Genji wasn't wearing his metal mask he was still wearing like a surgical mask or something. All the old OverWatch members had only really seen his eyes ,excluding Angela, so with shocking for them but not as much as all the newbies. this was the first time seeing his face at all, haven't even seen his eyes at this point,so it was extra shocking.

thoughts and opinions on Trixie Collins?

I really like her ! She's so sweet and a very charming character, I really enjoyed reading her in bg 86. She deserves financial compensation for the amount of shit she's been through being Booster's secretary

Her friendship with Booster is also very endearing to me, they really care about each other a lot. In that same vein I hope we get more Trixie content with the b&g restoration stuff... nice to see a mention of her in booster Christmas story (keep forgetting shes called Terri tho 😭)

Also my favourite Trixie scene ever. Shes a lesbian cat lady in my heart
