Leona sure is a lax parent! Im surprised Farena hasn't stepped in to try and parent Kenta as well.
He's tried plenty of times. But as King he's def more busy than Leona.
Leona, while lax, is still a fairly efficient parent. Teaches Kenta early that he's a safe place to come back to after he's had his fun wandering. And he refuses to play favorites between Cheka and Kenta. He wants both of these cubs to feel like they have a place in his heart.
Also, frankly, he never pushes in that Cheka will be a prince and probably king one day, and gladly stands up to any staff who try and talk badly of Kenta! He will not tolerate people making this kid, who's had ENOUGH of a hard life, make him feel bad about his cunning and stealthy nature.
"He's not a bad kid. He's just doing what he knows and what he can to survive. You can't blame him for not knowing the royal rules, off the bat."
He plays up the idea that he doesn't care that much, but he just has his ways of showing it. Allows the brat his freedoms while still doing what he can to teach him and tend to his emotional needs.
The balance of being both a dad and a ruler helps him grow up faster than he anticipated.
Kenta meanwhile questions Farena A LOT. Not completely in the childish way either. He has a hunger for knowledge and wants to know why Farena does what he does, or why he doesn't want Kenta or Cheka doing certain things. He's more sarcastic with Farena as well, but does is best to say his pleases and thank yous.

Ok, so let me explain why rebloging posts like these do little to nothing to assure Jews that they’ll be safe around you.
Goyim reblogging this stuff don’t typically listen to Jews (which is apparent because we’ve said stuff like this doesn’t actually do anything to help us many times) about their experiences with antisemitism or listen when Jews try to educate them on things like antisemitic dog whistles or blood libel. Most of them are way more enthusiastic about punching Nazis than they are about showing any compassion to Jews. I’d venture to guess the majority of Jewish people know that often the goyim who reblog this stuff are just out for blood and don’t give a damn about us, because we’ve seen this many times. Not to mention that the desire for a violent revolution that some leftists seem to have has led to Jewish people facing a lot of antisemitism (at their hands). I would bet that some of the people reblogging this act similar to Nazis themselves. I know at the very least the goyim rebloging this don’t listen to Jews because we’ve said many times that this sort of thing doesn’t really do anything to help us, and we’d much rather goyim call out and learn about antisemitism. Overall, it’s just very performative activism, and it’s pretty obvious that the goyim reblogging this are just doing it to try and make themselves look better, and not for the sake of Jews.

saw a post the other day, can't remember if it was tumblr or reddit, but it was like 'picky eaters are always characterized as only eating fries and chicken nuggets. what about us picky eaters who only like things like sushi and tiramisu, we exist'
anyway that's human dream

stuck thinking about when day gets crowded and overwhelmed on his birthday he calls out to gee of all people there to remove him from the situation; and how when day tells her he wants to be alone she makes sure he knows she wants to understand him and he can talk to her (not to help him or to fix things for him; simply to understand him) and when day reaffirms a boundary she accepts this and doesn't press further. he's her friend and she cares for him but he's still an adult and she has no problem treating him as such and i think that at the moment she is the only one from day's past who is actively able to do so

me a Kakashi lover seeing you Reblogging posts about him 👀👀👀👀 I love your mind do you have any Kakashi headcanons?
i think he has really sensitive thighs and giggles like a little girl whenever you run your hands up and down his legs with the intention of sucking him off. his toes start curling and he’s trying his hardest to close his legs and is softly murmuring “stop, stop” even though he’s pulling you closer at the same time — it’s very cute.
also, kakashi has always given me soft dom vibes so he definitely talks you through it; all affection and praises whispered in your ear in that gentle, smooth voice of his. his grip is firm but it eases as soon as you start to whimper out to him and tears well up inside your eyes from overstimulation. he always makes sure to kiss them away.
he is very sweet and kind in bed. super respectful as well. he treats you right.

YOOOO! HazbinHotel Trailer just Drop!😱 Spoilers Along with the Release date of Season 1 and 2! Let Us know your Opinion about it!😆
Some things we know:
Amazon Prime is the streaming service that took it up Season 1 will be released in January 2024
It's going to get a season 2
The voice actors still haven't been announced for some reason? The trailer has no dialogue on top of that. We see Lucifer, a lot of Alastor and Vox fighting, the weird demon-looking angel Adam, a meeting of Hell overlords discussing the angel threats, and Sir Pentious is part of the gang now. That's about it? The trailer's music reminds me of a Disney movie for kids. There are a lot of Tinkerbell chime noises and jazzy upbeat music which I don't think is fitting for what the show is trying to go for as a teen-to-adult plot regarding demons from Hell being murdered and dealing with abuse. (They have "Guess what, bitches?" on a text screen in the trailer too) So first impression is extreme overcrowding. List of characters that appear in the trailer alone: Charlie Alastor Vaggie Angel Dust Husker Niffty Sir Pentious Lucifer Lilith Vox Velvet Adam Rosie and we all know Cherri Bomb and Valentino are gonna show up too. These are way too many characters to introduce or juggle in an 8 episode season. There is no possible way to give our main characters enough screen time, focus, or development to make them meaningful protagonists. They either have to rush plots or drop character arcs to squeeze things into 8 episodes.

worth adding that bechdel is like a transmisogyny centrist at best (defending/praising michfest's "anti male socialization" policy of attendance) tho just saying
I'm gonna disagree. Bechdel has also stopped attending certain lesbian marches within the past decade or so because shit was getting too TERF-y and has gone out of her way to talk about how trans women belong in the lesbian community overall.
There is, imo, a bit of a fixation on holding Bechdel to some of the psychological ideas she's thrown out in the past—for example, I still see her get critiqued for bringing up penis envy and Freudian thought in Fun Home even though that book is old as shit—considering that she has always been very open about the fact that her relationship with lgbt philosophy and the community is, as it should be, an ever-changing and evolving thing.
She is very vocal that trans women belong in the lesbian community, belong in women's bathrooms, and that she will not accept TERF behavior at supposedly lesbian events. I know that seems like it should be a baseline expectation, but let's be real, in our current day that is not a "transmisogyny centrist."
I think people are very uncharitable to the fact that Bechdel is very much willing to be a messy, complicated person so publicly. She actively talks about how in the current day she may have become a trans man rather than identifying as a butch lesbian, and she's unwilling to really say whether she believes that's good or bad, just that it's the case, and people will go off on large tangents about whether it's saying that trans acceptance is bad or putting butch lesbians at risk. Like I said, she tends to really ride along with pop psychology when it first drops, only to later think it through and usually come out the other side with a more nuanced view. It's not that she's a centrist imo, but rather that she chooses to be very open and frank about her ongoing and changing opinions, and sometimes the things she initially goes along with are bad. I think that's actually very important, because we are basically seeing a real person who is prominent in our community navigate the community in real-time, and she doesn't spruce herself up or omit things in order to seem more progressive. She's wrong a lot, but she also tends to come around. I think to be able to see that is to be able to make space for growth in people who may be misguided, which is what we actually need in a community that is expected to stay together in solidarity and grow.

When I found out Seonhee would be a playable character in Infinite Wealth, I cheered. YASSSS, there she was, my Korean Queen, ready to join Ichiban and Kiryu's adventures as a main character.
I've not played any other Yakuza games sans IW's predecessor, Like a Dragon, but was immediately drawn by an important, reoccurring plot centered on three international Mafia group respectively comprised of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean members - all of them working discreetly together to keep their hometown, Ijincho, at bay from bigger, badder criminal groups who'd likely destabilize it.
Seonhee immediately drew me in for being (from what I researched anyway) the first woman mafia leader in the game without temporarily holding it for a man, AND Korean to boot.
I'm aware of the complicated relationship between Korea and Japan and it's often reflected by their media, but I've noticed the year when Like a Dragon and later, Infinite Wealth, came out, played an amazing part in their storytelling and how changes reflect its characters (and I want to talk about this in depth on another post sometime) and the world they live in.
Seonhee is a fantastic example of that. By Infinite Wealth, she's the leader of both the Geomijul (her faction), and Zhao's (who's now a civilian) Liumang, and thus the de facto head honcho in charge of keeping the peace over Ijincho. She's presented as an iron lady with marginal hints of femme fatale, but I'm amazed at how subtle her outward appearances are in light of her inner dilemmas and personality. Sure, she's dressed like a sex bomb, and sure, one of her attacks involve using a power cable as a whip, but that's not really her whole deal.
I'm compelled by her personal story, one who already has an experience as a leader, but is now grasping to maintain a new power structure she's never held before. As a young woman in a position of power, she's often stuck with elderly men who see her as a little girl playing with toy guns. That, and a need to maintain strength mean she keeps vulnerabilities to herself and refuses help because it shows weakness.
There are very few people she could really talk to about this. Her second-in-command, Joongi Han, is fortunately, her staunchest supporter (and from idle chats with her, they seem to have a cute brother-sister relationship), but I really love her interaction with the Kiryu Kazama more.
Because you DO have this older former Yakuza whom she looks up to as an example of the ideal leader: calm and fair, but with strong conviction, Kiryu is the living embodiment of Be Kind, But Take No Shit. He's her personal hero and an older gentleman who genuinely respects her and fully supports her position and what she does.
And I love that she slowly opens herself up to him. I love that she's dorky and awkward whenever they engage in casual conversation, I love that she has a subtle crush on Kiryu that she's not that shy flirting with him about while maintaining a distance (as if she knows this is just a crush and nothing more will come off of it, but she sure will indulge in their company while she can.) I love that she comes off as pretty casual when she isn't working and is prone to little idiosyncrasies as her teammates. She can unwind and relax when among friends, allowing a moment to breathe before getting back to work. It's good to see she has people who can give her that.
Kiryu understands and sympathizes the difficulties that he, an older man, could never and would never face. He's not here to undermine her and he especially knows that once people like him pass on, the younger generation will take over, and he wants to help Seonhee achieve that without undermining her.
Seonhee may seek Kiryu's approval, and he may impose at times, but the game understands these are two adults. Kiryu doesn't treat her condescendingly just because she is a woman and younger, and Seonhee realizes that her personal hero is also just a guy and one willing to learn from her generation just as much.

Wouldn't it just be delicious if in season 2 the show went out of its way to confirm Ed's literacy, like showing him casually doing captain things like looking at ship manifests or checking ledgers or whatever? I think that could be hilarious.
I'm already an Ed Can Read truther because beyond the likelihood that a captain would need to be able to read maps and charts and the like, the set for his cabin on his original ship included scrolls, and at the party we see him look at the dinner place card while sitting in the right place.
Also historically, it really wasn't that uncommon to be able to read but not write! So him signing with an X doesn't disprove that to me. It would be even funnier if later on we learned that he knew how to write properly too, or even had a lovely running hand that rivaled Lucius? I would just eat that up with a spoon.

so it seems older Raz has overcome his difficulties with his hydrokinesis. Neat! I imagine dogen did too with his blast-isis thingie (saw it from ur comics) : D
so does that mean. Raz can form or Manipulate shapes of water. Kinda like how Maligula can with water serpents. I imagine Raz has own favourite animal for that? And water his strongest power or still struggle with it? anyway amazing work as always.
Tumblr media
yeah, he's pretty good with it!
detail crop + more rambling under the cut

it's his strongest power, but he doesn't specialise in it super heavily. so he's not as skilled in it as, say, Lili is with her herbaphony. he's definitely not as good as his great aunt, but Lucrecia was, like, incredibly talented. from the feats we see her accomplish (making hundred-foot waves and tornadoes of water, crossing oceans, drawing water from the moisture in the air), I'd say she's quite possibly one of, if not the, strongest psychic in the canon.
could Raz be as good as her one day? maybe! he has the potential, but it'd take a lifetime of practice. and i think generally he prefers spending his time working on all his powers, rather than strongly specialising in just one or two. he's not as good at HK as he could be if he really focused on it, but in exchange he's also pretty good with a lot of his other powers. jack of all trades, master of none, y'know?

Does anyone else ever think about how WC!Scott canonically brought Mertha back to life and there was a bit of hand waving like “Eeuuhh she was a goat that’s not to difficult” but really she was a human soul trapped in a goat’s body, so Scott could bring back a human soul by like, the middle of the trials, so he might have already been powerful enough to bring back Milo by that point or soon after, without having to go full Lich and do all the horrible things that ritual entails, but by that point he had convinced himself so thoroughly that the only way to achieve his goal was by becoming the Supreme Witch that it didn’t even cross his mind to try?

Personally I believe that Apollo learned a lot from his previous stints as mortal. Things like, bricklaying, slavery doesn’t just suck it really really sucks, sleep and food are required not optional if you are now mortal, cheese making, cow herding, you must obey all of your fathers commands and rebellion is impossible.
