so bizarreeee to me when businesses don't make certain information easily accessible to its clientele???
like, for a small music store such as (but not limited to) music&arts centers, whyyyy would you not have a clearly stated inclement weather policy on their websites with regard to private lessons?
if your business, say, a restaurant, has to shut down for several weeks renovations or something, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY would you not stick a sign on the door that says so? WHYYYYY would you not make a quick lil social media post explaining why you're closed and how soon you expect to re-open?? literally howwww much fucking sense does it make to just turn out the lights and shut the door without a single word to any of the people who patronize your business???
are there legit reasons why so many places are content to just leave their customers in the dark like that and make them have to go out of their way to contact the owners/managers/etc and ask wtf is going on, if they care enough to ask?

(idk if anyone wants to keep hearing my opinions on totk book stuff but-)
apparently it says that rauru DID have kids, multiple even, which yeah... is kinda necessary for zelda to even be connected to them so much so that sonia can SENSE a blood connection (which, even with all the excuses with magic, is just a little too far for me to suspend my disbelief bc its over, OVER, ten thousand years worth of generations that seperate her from them that one lil touch of the hand can sense that (feels more like an attempt to make you care about them or .. see them as zeldas "better" parents just bc they exchange a few nice words, i never got the feeling they were 'better' parents and its also kinda disrespectful to her actual parents, like sure rhoam wasnt the best but i wouldnt call rauru better just bc he was polite)- i could see maybe the light power of hylia or sth but since its the coolest dude that ever lived rauru now that had it which still doesnt make sense and makes me unreasonably annoyed and she can sense BOTH of their powers in her? nah)
the fact theres NOTHING about them in the game itself is just so ... no way they planned any of this
i dont think theres anything they can do or say that wont make be believe they either
are making it up alla 'fix it in post' mentality trying to hastily explain stuff the game never bothers to do to try and appease fans or let it appear as if they thought about it at all
something went really REALLY wrong during development, which kinda seems likely given how the game turned out (im sorry i cannot let go, its not just the writing, the game design too and how little was changed in the map while being so damn expensive, i dont know how people dont feel scammed q_q)
given that they (allegedly) spent the last entire year of development on polish (where??? where????? huh??? like it would make it more understandable (EXCEPT for the price) if there was alot of trouble, which was also bc it got delayed and ... turned out like this, but they dont want to say it, especially given their reputation, with that quote i have heard way too many times 'a delayed game blah blah') i just??
are they just gonna go and do it like they did with kashiwa (kass)? "they uuuh where flying around the whole time ony cool sonau tech maschines, you just dont see or hear from them ooooorrr they were uuuuh out of the country at the time" (sending invitations to other continents to join their glorious kingdom ;) )
(bet they are also gonna say they did all the stuff like ... moving the shrines around (lol?) and lifting the islands up into the sky- which is still weird bc ... didnt they also say they were living in the sky before coming to the surface?? so where?? did they park all their islands on the surface and the mystery kids had the keys so they had to repark them back into the sky after they returned off camera?? xD also why are the islands so different as an environment if they where from the surface? like even the STONE up there is different- and if they were first in the sky then on the surface and the nback in the sky .. why is there not a single yellow tree or grass in the past- you cant really argue that it changed bc they were up there so long bc .. nothing else changed, the suddendly and totally always there sonau buildings are largely in prime condition, only some slightly moldy, and what we see of the glorious past looks barely any different from the present, aside from like ... some standard trees shuffled, no castle yet and that glowy uwu filter DESPITE that stupidly long time frame between it)

"To dream the impossible dream, that is my quest." - Prince Fernando of Asturias
+ Seb not getting what he ordered
+ the usual
Hello yes, look! It's baby Renault Fernando, isn't he so cute??? Who wouldn't want to force him into an arranged marriage, like cmon man be real. Here is the progress as usual, as well as his suit without the design, cause I'm pretty proud of it just blank even!
Okay so this is pure Fernando, innocent Fernando, before he had his apirations ripped way from him. Well not fully ripped away tbf, because that's the crux of his character: is it more humiliating to never succeed or to only succeed because someone handed it to you with concessions? I guess that's up for him to decide though ;;;
The thing I love about this drawing and young Fernando in general is how much easier it is to see his and Seb's similarities. Look how similar they look! Seb is just a bit more evil.
I think that's a big part as to why his feelings about Seb are so complicated. He both loves and hates how similar they are. From an egotistical point, he can appreciate and respect the familiar traits in Seb, the hunger, the exuberance, the pride, the ego. But also we hate seeing our own traits in other people, it's almost like turning a mirror on your worst traits and suddenly being able to see yourself from a new perspective. The biggest point here though is that Fernando turns that resentment onto Seb, as a way to clamp down on self hatred.
He becomes more bitter and resentful as he grows older, and loses a lot of his whimsy and joy. So it hurts him to see Seb, who in addition to getting everything he's ever wanted, also retain his whimsy. He, wrongly, just sees it as something that had to happen in order for him to grow up fully. It's more of a survival tactic, it started becoming unbefitting for him to have that level of unfounded confidence. That's the main reason he sees Seb as childish, immature and undeserving. He hasn't fully grown out of his capacity for whimsy and joy, and thus is below Fernando.
Well that was depressing oops! As the chibi art represents, this is probably a painting Seb got sent in the early days of planning their marriage. This is the Fernando who is still prideful, the Fernando who is still confident, the Fernando Seb vaguely remembers meeting his youth. Seeing this definitely pushes him even further towards the marriage(though tbf it's not like he even has a choice either.) Though when the time to actually start courting comes around, Fernando looks very uh different. This is both a joke about how different Fernando was in his first renault stint vs his second. But also I think he does show up very moody and disheveled, as a sort of last chance way to try and turn everyone on Seb's side, including Seb, off from the marriage. However, it's pretty much a done deal by that point.
Seb is uh, definitely confused, but I think he would be drawn to Fernando regardless. Actually, this might make Fernando even more appealing. Seb gets to push him all the time, try to break down his walls and get a glimpse at the real Fernando, if even just for a moment. Seb wishes he had more that just a blurry, vague recollection of Fernando at his peak confidence. Fernando definitely grows into something resembling his past self, after recovering from all the hurt, but there's just something about youthful exuberance that can't really be fully replicated.
Okay so about the quote. I went with Don Quixote this time instead of the typical Napoleon, because I thought it'd be funny. Fernando picks up the book at some point during his youth, and it inspires him a lot. He doesn't really see the satire in it, and comes to really admire Don Quixote's mentality, he's like "wow he never gives up! That's so admirable!" It definitely helps him through dark times to aspire to never give up no matter what. Though later Seb definitely rags on him for not knowing it was satire, and Fernando is like "wh-what do you mean satire?" But he's mentally strong enough atp for it to not cause his whole worldview collapse. About the quote specifically, there's definitely some part of him, even when young, that knows his aspirations are borderline impossible. I wonder if that part of him feels weirdly safe and comforted about the marriage. Yes, it's not ideal, but it's safe and secure. He gets what he wants, and there's no chance of anyone taking it away from him, no matter what.
I think his title would be Prince of Asturias? It was either that or duke, and I think prince fits him bettee(Machiavelli reference?) That title is currently the title for the heir to the Spanish throne. In this time period, it's also commonly used for the heir, but for Fernando it's a bit unsure. Like in real life, he's not directly the offspring, but he's still the most obvious choice for heir. But there's still enough room for Seb and his house to try to vie for the throne themselves, so it makes it all complicated.

Ok I had to make one for Shiemi too, and it was equally as hard to try and squeeze my opinion into one phrase
I'm not into Shiemi half as much as I am Yukio, but I feel like I need to defend her too, because people lack critical thinking lol!!!
The way Shiemi is treated by the fandom is honestly disheartening. Like girl spent her entire life in a garden before the events of the story. The only person she talked to was her grandmother, and even then, they only talked about gardening. And those years being "sick"? I'm pretty sure she was actually in En, the land of Shemihaza's crystallization, not actually being too sick to go to school.
Shiemi spent the formative years of her life isolated from the real world. She never interacted with kids her age until Yukio came around. It's normal that she tries so hard to be friends with Izumo and Paku. She was so afraid of depending on Yukio and Rin because she felt so weak even though it's not her fault that she doesn't know how to talk to people.
I partially blame her mother and the Grigori for the way she was raised. But at the end Shiemi is treated so poorly despite her situation being out of her hands.

I had a thought the other month that I think about like every single day
Nobody even reported Jasper missing.
The camp has had missing/dead campers before and it’s still running but hear me out.
He died on Spooky Island, where Campbell arguably keeps most of his incriminating evidence, and while the cavern exploded there’s still at LEAST the stuff in his summer home from Night of the Living Ill. Any sort of lawsuit and investigation on his “disappearance” would’ve had authorities come across at least a few things that would’ve had him put away and/or the camp closed. Remember Campbell isn’t a criminal mastermind, he’s just stupid.
Campbell could barely keep the camp going by the time Jasper died so one wrong move (a disappearance) would’ve completely sank the whole thing no matter what new scam he came up with to get attendance back up, and judging by examining the timeline, the flashbacks took place in around 01/02 so the internet still definitely existed so it wouldn’t be easy to cover something like this up.
Also, if there was paperwork about his disappearance, David or Gwen probably would’ve found it (and if Gwen did it would’ve come back to David) and it would’ve been a very public thing, but by judging Campbell’s expression when Max mentions a “kid who died on the campgrounds all those years ago” he has a “how the hell do you know about that” expression, and you’d think this is because he successfully covered it up, but
You can’t hide a kid’s disappearance from a family that actually cares about him
Imagine him having to see the camp that he accidentally killed himself trying to shut down start back up every summer for 14 years and have no investigations done and slowly realizing nobody in his life even cared he never came back home

the thing is that I do think John would in his mind do just about anything for the concept of Sam's life! I don't think that the degree of which John abuses Sam or the way Sam is scapegoated in their family and targeted with that abuse changes it. I don't think the fact that Sam could potentially be something John needs to kill changes the urge to save him. In fact, I have a feeling some of the urge of John's "must find Mary's killer" COMES from the terror that her killer has something planned for Sam.
However, John still. Thinks Sam might need to die one day. And he loves Dean just as much! And I don't mean that John loves Dean more because he isn't the target of the vitriol as much, but it IS clear Dean is safe from whatever demonic influence Sam is under. There is no way John would save Sam over Dean based in this. Dean is safe from someone needing to kill him. Sam's death out of John's hands is in some ways (though John would obviously grieve him and actively does not want it) a relief.

OH OH OH OH OH FULL NAME FULL NAME AKANE KISHIDA
I figured she was the one to get in touch first based on Jo knowing she wanted to see her son, but I have SO many questions about that... how does she know her son survived... how does she know Ichiban was her son and not Aoki... how does she know who Jo is and how to contact Jo... (<- tearing my hair out as we speak)
Anyway when you have the opportunity please view the gameplay footage...
obsessed how its addressed to Mr. Jo Sawashiro i dont know why that detail tickles me... thats cute..
chicken-and-egg kinda deal with Who Contacted Who first. like id ASSUME sawashiro'd get in contact with her first if he was feeling guilty enough about The Whole Situation and was willing to dig into arakawa's past imo, esp since akane wouldn't have any reason (or ability to) know who he was until after he joins the yakuza.. and i mean.. shes long gone by then.. tho that's assuming they got in contact early on and they didnt JUST start communicating within the past few years.
BUT EITHER WAY just gotta wait and see for it all to play out.. in three months <- still cant believe its coming out january 26th 👁️💋👁️
IM OBSESSED WITH THE GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE im soooo glad i was right in how they were going to handle the style change aspect (though i guess it wasnt a hard thing to predict but still..). I LOVE HOW KIRYU CAN ACTUALLY ROAM FREE THAT'S SO COOL i remember people kept speculating on how the gameplay was gonna go with how different ichi and kiryu's playstyles are and this is SUUCH a rad way to answer that question. my excitement is immeasurable and im gonna throw up
