Yandere! Friend (to Lover)‘s Plan!
Tumblr media
Ahh here’s the headcannons for Yandere! Friend here !
This is some domestic! Yandere scenarios I guess, where they’ve convinced the reader to move in together and are changing from being seen as a Friend to being seen as a Lover!
Find my Masterlist here !
Please enjoy! <3
Tumblr media
All Yandere! Friend wants is to take You away from everything and be the only person in your life.
Yandere! Friend has long since convinced you to go along with this by letting you be involved in the fantasy, help plan it with a healthy amount of guiding and once every detail is thought of… well you wanted this too, didn’t you? We’re going to move in together and be happy forever! Far away!
The ideal place would be somewhere with fewer people, like the countryside or the highlands. Even another country altogether, with a population on the lower end so nobody would be around to bother the two of you. This way no annoying “friends” or family members would be able to stop by unannounced and interrupt Yandere! Friend’s time with you.
No matter what your job previously was before moving, Yandere! Friend insists you quit and find one that allows you to work from home. Even though they’ll try to getting one that also allows them to work from home, but they may have to occasionally go into work for a few hours. But they much prefer knowing you’re tucked away in your shared safe haven instead of out and about. Of course they know you leave sometimes, that’s what the numerous trackers are for, silly! And of course you know about them! (They wouldn’t risk you finding a hidden tracker and potentially getting upset with them.) They tell you everything, and you tell them everything! Everything. To make it fair, you also have a tracker on them so you can watch them on their way home if you really feel like it.
If they hadn’t finished snapping the line between Friend and Lover then once you both get settled into your new home, they’ll strongly cross the line.
Yandere! Friend may begin with movie nights in bed where you two cuddle - something they’ll certainly have long since established as mandatory for an enjoyable movie night - and maybe their hands will wander a bit more than usual, resting on some more sensitive places than they had previously dared to. Maybe if they’re the big spoon they’ll let their head rest on your shoulder, maybe their mouth will happen to be open and happen to find the skin of your shoulder and neck in their mouth, and maybe they’ll leave small marks behind.
Maybe Yandere! Friend will gift you some clothing they’d love to see you in, after snooping through your wardrobe for all your different sizings. That clothing may range from something cute they knew you’d like to something more exposed that they’d just love to see you in, and maybe just the idea of you wearing something they’d bought for you made their possessive heart beat a little faster. And if they discovered some of your other tastes while snooping, well that’s just good to know for when all their planning comes to fruition.
Yandere! Friend shall insist on cooking every day and every night, perfecting all your favourite meals and just eating up your expressions every time your face lights up at the taste of their food.
When they do let you cook, Yandere! Friend is practically wrapped around you, their arms around your waist, their head against your back. And no matter what you make or the quality of it, they love that they’re eating something made by you.
If you’re on the more sociable side then Yandere! Friend will make sure to know about everyone you could come into contact with and figure out who may try and come between you two and who to allow, so they can guide you away from the threats before they even have a leg to stand on. Just like back home, only more efficient. If you’re not, well they’ll only convince you to lean into that.
Not to mention when the two of you go into town for your weekly groceries, Yandere! Friend makes it extremely obvious to the locals that you are theirs; an arm around your waist or hands holding one another, the look on their face alone when they look at you, and their expression when someone steps a little too close to you all show that you are theirs.
Of course you have your own bedrooms - officially - but in actuality you usually sleep together, I mean it’s totally by accident on your side. Yandere! Friend just has a habit of falling asleep towards the end of your nightly movie nights - usually in your bed to ensure you don’t try to quietly leave - trapping you beneath them and you just can’t bring yourself to wake them - and if you try, they’ll only mumble to you to just go to sleep - so you just turn out the lights and snuggle up as you have oh so many times before.
At some point or another, Yandere! Friend has taken the leap from friendly jokes about being a couple to outright stating that’s what you are. I mean… it’s so obvious, I can’t believe everyone doesn’t already know? People back home just don’t get it…
The few locals who see you two together have long since come to that conclusion and once Yandere! Friend or should it now be Yandere! Friend to Lover convinced you that it’s always been this way, you’re just so silly and oblivious, then the two of you go on to be the happiest you have ever been, they somehow become even more touchy and affectionate than before. Their possessive rants and habits make you feel secure in your relationship and they’re elated that every single one of their yandere tendencies can be out in the open without judgement. From anyone.
All the while the locals think the two of you to be the cute young foreign couple who live on the very far edge of town and seem polite enough. At least they won’t be in Yandere! Friend to Lover’s way.

Pedro Pascal's characters doing grocery shopping
Francisco Morales
Has a shopping list but the items are often doodled and difficult to decipher
Also has a plan and a precise order in which he gets the items so he doesn’t spend too much time in the grocery shop
Tries to make his shopping in the morning when there are fewer people
Frankie is often tempted to go to the sweets aisle and get himself something bitter-sweet but very rarely actually puts something in the basket
Feels uncomfortable when someone sees him with a trolley full of beers which he buys for a night in with Benny, Will, and Santi
Actually prefers to go shopping in the farmers market but doesn’t have the time to do it every weekend
Din Djarin
That man is on a mission. His shopping list is as thoughtful as his travel plans
Always takes a trolley, no matter how big his list is because it’s easier to make a way in the crowd
Secretly hates older ladies who walk slowly in the store
Sound like an "in and out" type of guy, right? He wishes! He has to take Grogu with him which makes grocery shopping thousand times more difficult
Grogu always tries to use his powers to get something he wants from the shelf but that doesn’t work because Din immediately notices when something that isn't on the list gets in the trolley
Every time they pass the sweets aisle Grogu makes a joyful noise. Din just says,, No” and keeps on walking no matter the fuss from the child. However, sometimes he gets something for Grogu from the shelf next to the checkout
Very often has to wait to pay because the lady at the checkout is too busy playing with Grogu
Javier Peńa
His most often bought item are cigarettes but he prefers to buy them in a smaller shop next to his workplace
Hasn’t bought a vegetable in weeks but will spend 20 minutes choosing the best quality meat available (and within his budget)
His refrigerator is full of frozen food, has a few favorite types which he gets every time he goes grocery shopping
If he sees someone from work in the shop, goes the other way and pretends to look at an item in the next aisle
Flirts with young cashiers who once in a while give him a discount
Buys whisky way too often but doesn’t care that the cashier is looking at him with a suspicious look
Maxwell Lord
If he has money he’s like a kid in the candy store. Loves sweets and buys a lot of them to stack (but eats everything in less than a week)
If not he becomes a coupon master and buys mostly breadsticks with different dips
His gulity pleasure: buying cheap wines with expensiv looking bottles
Has the superpower to sense free samples. Takes two of them, for himself and his imaginary wife
Smiles when he sees condoms by the cash register
Never uses self-service checkout
Javi Gutierez
Doesn’t like grocery shopping. Usually, Maria does it
The only exception is buying wine and cereal
Spends at least 30 minutes looking at bottles labels, and won’t buy anything that says,,2 for 5$”
Has a ranking of his favorite cereals and never buys just one box. Imidietly puts a box of cereal into the basket if there's a cool toy (imagine a Nic Cage cereal, he would buy every box from at least 5 stores)
Often has to ask for help to find an item but is incredibly nice to the staff
Has an unusual talent to tell just from the taste if a tomato was bought in the grocery shop or taken from a garden on his island
If no one is looking he rides the trolley
Pero Tovar
Just like Javier Peńa mostly buys meat. That’s all he needs to be happy and not hungry
Never skips a free sample but doesn’t talk to the staff and leaves as soon as a sample is in his hand
Rarely leaves the store without some kind of alcohol
Can’t use a self-service checkout, they make him furious
Doesn't take trolleys or baskets. Believes that he can carry everything in his arms (he can’t and drops items often)
Jack Daniels
Never makes a grocery list
Doesn't have time to cook, buys pre-prepared meals. His favorite is lasagne
Never leaves without a six-pack of beers (gets whisky from work)
Will talk and flirt with the lady giving samples
Trolleys annoy him, most of the time he chooses baskets
Has a loyalty card but always forgets to show it to the cashier
90% of the time will take a pack of gum from the shelf next to the checkout
Oberyn Martel
He actually likes doing grocery shopping but only if someone prepares a list for him
Spends most of his time choosing the best-quality fruits
If he walks by an alcohol ally will definitely stop to look at champagne. If there’s a,, 2 for 5$" sale he takes 4 bottles.
Starts a conversation with somebody who buys the same item as he
Often buys condoms from the shelf next to the checkout
Has a loyalty card and is proud of it
Dieter Bravo
He doesn’t go grocery shopping. He eats on the set or gets a KitKat (which magically comes back the next day)

Wednesday is starting to come to a close where I am so have a little wip (?). I actually only wrote this scene up a while ago, I don’t actually know where to take this apart from meeting Lachlan lol. Nonetheless I hope you enjoy :)
Tumblr media
Damien and Daniel trudged through the corridors of Holsworthy Barracks alongside the small amount of newly recruited commandos. After the grueling six week selection process, they were both beyond exhausted physically and mentally, practically dragging their feet to their dorms with all their luggage on their backs.
Cont. under cut ⬇️
After arriving upon their shared room, Daniel dropped his bags and headed towards the bathroom mirror where he stared to observe himself – particularly the blatant amount of weight loss he endured during the selection course. Damien, however, sat on his bed and sighed, pulling out the green beret out of his bag and stared out it in his hands. He had done it. He was officially a member of the 2nd Commando Regiment, something that only few dreamed of and fewer had accomplished. He had felt relived that him and Daniel both made it through, together. Something they worked their asses off for years under Wyatt’s tutelage.
“Oi Damo,” Daniel called out from the bathroom, pulling Damien out of his daze.
“What’d you think our first proper meal be after all that, hey? I reckon we should just go to Westfield and eat our hearts out there… or would ya just prefer to hit the Epicurean? Fuuuck, either or, I don’t care I’m ravishing right now. Look at how much weight we’ve lost, not ideal” Daniel said, pinching his cheeks.
“Yeah, look, I couldn’t even think about food right now to be honest” Damien flopped backwards onto his bed. “Still traumatized from whatever the fuck was in that blue jello. Heard some blokes say it could’ve been pig dick but I’d rather not know.”
“Fuck off. You just had to remind me of that, didn’t you? Christ…” Daniel shuddered, now sitting on the bed opposite of Damien. “So…like, now what?”
“Dunno…we get sent over to ‘stan? Go fight AQ? That’s the commando dream, yeah?”
“You’ve got a long fuckin’ way to go before you even step foot over there, rookie.” Both of them jumped up and stood at attention at the DS who was casually leaning against the door frame, beret and neck gaiter still covering his identity.
“Sir!”
“Yeah, yeah look. You’re gettin’ sorted into your units at 1800, i.e. you lot are gonna meet ya new boss. Get some rest and freshen up. You look and smell like absolute shit, the both of you.” And with that, he left, presumably to go berate other recruits.
“…You’d think he’d show his face now that we’re more well acquainted...you reckon he’s ugly?”
“What are you on about? I don’t think you have the right to say if someone’s munted or not, honestly”.
“Well fuck you too. Not like you’re on them Hemsworth lads' level either, cunt.”
“Tsk, dick. I dibs first in the shower.” Damien says as he goes to collect his belongings and heads towards the shared bathroom.
“Damn, not gonna let me join you? After all we’ve been through together, babe?” Daniel said trailing after him and puckering his lips.
Damien turned and looked at him with disgust. “What? Get fucked. I don’t think your misses would be particularly thrilled hearing about that.”
“What? About us showering together? What’s wrong with that?”  A big grin covering his face.
“You’re fuckin’ weird. I’ve heard and SEEN enough of you over the last couple o’ weeks now let me have some me time, if you catch my drift.” He said shutting the door and starting the shower.
Daniel couldn’t contain himself and burst into laughter. He loved teasing Damien due to how easy it was to get a reaction out of him. He didn’t need to say anything, his face said it all at times.

I'm trying to think of a way to put this while still sounding like a rational adult. I know I'm not alone in this. I know there's a reason why suicides tend to rise during the holidays. Christmas is my favorite holiday. There's something magical about a month that can typically bring most people together. The consensus that we're all human, and we all deserve at least one day of the year that guarantees happiness.
However, that simply isn't a reality for a lot of us.
I'm not celebrating Christmas this year. It's not by choice. My family has never been completely well off. We do struggle financially. So this year was no surprise, but it's still a sad one nonetheless. We can only afford to buy each other one present. I'm not buying anything for myself. We will not have that great feast around the table. We most likely will not even put up a tree let alone decorate our home.
And it sucks. Christmas was the highlight of my childhood. Up until a decade ago, I still had that child-like giddiness of cannot waiting. Counting down the days with utmost glee. Now I dread it. I already suffer from seasonal depression, even during the summer. I hate that I can't count on one good day. This year was a colossal failure for me.
There will be no spirited morale or season of joy. I hate that I can't spoil my family. I hate that we can't go all out like we used to. My grandmother is now entering her nineties and I can't stand that the last one with her will probably be dismal. I can't help any of this. The only thing that makes me the tiniest bit happy is giving presents to others. I adore the gesture.
As I write all this, I'm acutely aware of the fact that the people of Ukraine will probably have a worse time than just about all of us. People won't have houses to decorate. They won't be able to share a big hearty meal. They probably don't even allow themselves to think about buying presents. And lastly, there will likely be fewer loved ones to sit with.
Winter is coming. Most don't have electricity let alone heating. Soldiers need appropriate clothing. The very least the country deserves is to have the means to look after themselves. If god truly existed, my only wish this christmas would be for the war to end. That Ukraine gets restored to its former glory. That there's more love in their hearts than sorrow.
That people can LIVE.
If donating to help those who desperately need it is something you'd consider. I highly implore you to do just that. You can reliably donate via this link to any preferred cause. If you need double the incentive, there's a great Ukrainian-based online store called Saint Javelin. Their merchandise and apparel are simply the best. All the proceeds go towards the recovery and war efforts of Ukraine. You won't regret it.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for whatever you may choose to do. Not everyone will have a happy christmas, myself included. But if we can take care of each other and try to make someone else's life a little brighter.
I believe that's what christmas is truly about.

Refrigerator Dill Pickles (1 Spoon)
Snacks are super important in general, but they’re especially vital when you’ve got conditions that make prepping a whole meal hard or issues where you’re hyperfocusing past mealtimes. Of course, with the current state of the economy, just buying stuff from the grocery store is more expensive than it used to be (probably more expensive than it needs to be, too), so making your own is generally a good idea from a budgeting point of view. Unfortunately, a lot of snacks are trickier to make than you’d think, so that’s its own set of problems.
Today, I’m going to share my variations on a recipe I picked up from All Recipes for refrigerator dill pickles. Now, keep in mind that these are brined rather than pickled. What’s good about this is that it doesn’t take as much time as actual pickling, and doesn’t necessarily require airtight jars. The down side is that they won’t keep as long as your standard dill pickles ... but if you like dill pickles, that probably won’t be an issue anyway, since they’ll be eaten before they can go soggy.
You’ll need:
Three and a half cups of water
One and a quarter cups white vinegar
One tablespoon granulated sugar
One tablespoon sea salt
Other spices as desired
Cucumbers (at least two; see notes)
Garlic cloves
Fresh dill
Here’s what you do:
Combine the water, vinegar, granulated sugar and sea salt in a good-sized pot. I tend to add some other little bits and pieces to spice it up a bit - a pinch or two of onion salt and garlic pepper, maybe a couple of peppercorns. It all depends on how spicy you like things.
Bring the mixture to the boil and set aside to let it cool.
When it’s cool, cut up your cucumbers. I tend to need at least two to use up most of the brine - enough to fill four standard Ball jars and maybe a jam jar. If you want spears, just set a jar next to the cucumber and place the first cut around where it’d look like it’d fit the jar, then section the cucumber and cut into eighths. If you prefer slices, just slice them moderately thick; paper-thin will soak up the brine faster but will also get soggier faster.
(Side note: you can use baby cucumbers for this, since they fit into a standard Ball jar, but while they do require less cutting, they’re more expensive than your standard cucumber. Your best bet is a narrow cucumber, since they generally have fewer seeds and won’t get soggy as fast as the big thick ones.)
Once you’ve figured out how many jars you need, place a sprig of dill and two garlic cloves into the bottom of each jar, then add the cucumber.
Pour your brine into the jars - try not to fill them all the way to the top, but it should be mostly covering the cucumber pieces.
Put the jars in the refrigerator. It’ll take about two days for them to really flavour up if you’ve made spears; they’ll be tasty after one if you’ve made slices.
Munch as desired.
This is mostly a “one spoon” recipe because there’s not a lot of mixing and there’s a good break between making your brine and actually cutting and pouring. If you’re having too bad a day to lift the pot and pour directly into the jars, use a ladle; regular stirring / serving spoons aren’t deep enough so there’ll be a lot of scooping, and that will hurt just as much as hefting the pot would.
So there you go - easy, one-spoon snack that’s fairly easy on the budget. Admittedly, I picked this one up because when I moved to England, I found their pickles (pickled gherkins) a bit too sweet. I think there’s a disparity in the salt content, which means you taste the sugar more, but I’m not sure. Either way, I wanted tart and sharp dill pickles, and this gave me exactly what I wanted. Enjoy!

Content Warning ⚠️ : drug mention, PTSD, stress and complaining
We officially sold the big car yesterday. There's a demand for used and new cars right now; dealerships have been shrinking in inventory since last summer. So a local dealership was quick to offer us our asking price, which is a godsend, honestly. But I didn't feel any relief or happiness about it yesterday. I know it's going to take a huge chunk out of our bill debt, and I'm incredibly grateful we had the resource to use as needed... But I feel bad. I feel guilty about selling a very generous gift that we only had for a year. I feel stressed that we had to downsize because we can't even afford something as simple as the gas for the big car, let alone should anything happen to it. I'm stressed that we lost a valuable vehicle, as our family is ever growing and genuinely could use the extra space and power (towing, storage, etc). And I'm anxious as fuck about the financial situation still. I've been applying for jobs regularly, and without bias; I had an interview at the most depressing Aldi store I've ever seen in my life the other day. I'm willing to work in service or retail hell to keep us balanced. But I'm honestly not content with the situation. And though selling the car brings in a significant amount of monetary relief, it feels like I've just borrowed a couple more days of uneasy peace, and that nothing has actually improved.
Last night I was feeling so upset, so I took a kpin before bed. I was tired and needed the sleep, but the anxiety and stress were making my body and mind so tense that it felt like I wasn't even lying there, but instead floating out of pure tension just over the sheets lol. I did knock out eventually, but now I'm groggy and just kind of bummed out today. I have a run that I'm planning to get to soon, and that's a nice thing to look forward to. But then it's back to the job grind, taking care of the house/husband/pups, and just trying to keep moving on. I'm out of a lot of core recipe ingredients. I'm out of my DOC (coffee lol); I have black tea, so at least my caffeine addiction is placated. My husband is just as picky as his kids and prefers foods that I don't have or don't have the ingredients to make right now... And my PTSD gives me extreme anxiety when someone close to me even comes off as upset, whoops.
My goal is to just tighten all the belts and just make it through this summer. I don't want the kids to worry or feel pressured about our financial issues. It's not their responsibility or burden to carry. Unexplainably luckily, my sister and mom have offered to help with groceries while the kids are here, so that's one fewer stressor on my mind for the next two months. Granted, they're preteen and teenaged, so they eat like rabid ship rats lol, so I'm not certain how long things will last. But they do enjoy some very cheap and easy meals like pancakes and chicken and dumplings, so that's stuff I can whip up with relatively cheap ingredients. But I'll have to keep looking for work while trying to keep everyone afloat.
It's not very helpful, also, that it seems all my husband wants to talk about or watch/listen to is bad news. I realize everything is awful right now and good news is few and far between, but every day, all day, he just wants to reiterate all the awful things happening around and to us. It's just his modus operandi for processing, I think, but it really wears me down. I KNOW how fucking terrible everything is. I KNOW how corrupt the government and the powerful corporations they shield are, despite the dire needs of the very people and economy that fund their existence. I KNOW the earth is dying and supply chains are breaking down and people are being violent all the time. Even when I try my damndest to ignore anything but good news/content, the realities seep through. And having my only constant human contact and partner constantly reiterating the awful echoes of our current realities just makes me feel so pressurized. There's no true relief to be had anywhere.
Blegh. Sorry if you read all that and are bummed out now lol. I just don't have anywhere else to put this weight. Which reminds me, I'm also supposed to be looking for a therapist right now... ugh. I hope everyone is hanging in there and doing okay right now. 💙

Resistance band. For many gym-goers, chest workouts start and end with the bench press. While those are both fantastic exercises, however, for a truly pecs-tacular chest you need to extend your exercise repertoire. Two of your weekly workouts are chest-focused, while the other two are full-body training sessions. The chest sessions are workouts 1 and 3 on the plan and they differ in their approach to chest-building. The first session increases strength using a high number of sets but fewer reps. The second uses bodybuilding principles to form a chest workout where you do fewer sets but a higher number of reps with the aim of increasing size alongside strength. All four workouts are made up of five moves. The first two exercises are big, compound lifts done as normal sets. Go heavy with these and push yourself as hard as possible. Then the final three moves are a tri-set, so you rattle through the first set of 3A, then the first set of 3B, then the first set of 3C with minimal rest between them. Rest, then start the second sets. This is a training plan for experienced gym-goers. The chest workout plan below really requires a gym, because it uses a barbell with weight plates , dumbbells , a weight bench , a rack and a pull-up bar. Unless your home gym is impressively well stocked, you might also want to check out the home chest workouts underneath the plan for something you can do when gyms are closed. To get the full effect from these workouts, you need to stick to the four-digit tempo code for each exercise — check out our guide to tempo training to help you understand the numbers. The first digit indicates how long in seconds you take to lower the weight, the second how long you pause at the bottom of the move, the third how long you take to lift the weight, and the final digit how long you pause at the top. X means that part of the move should be done explosively. Keep each rep smooth and controlled so your muscles — not momentum — do the work. Success in this chest workout plan will come not only from following the workouts below to the letter, but by backing up your gym efforts in the kitchen. That starts with eating enough protein to repair and rebuild your muscles after a workout. However, many people do prefer the convenience of supplements like protein shakes or protein bars for getting 20g of protein in after a session. Also make sure your energy reserves are topped up by eating carbohydrates, aiming for wholegrain varieties to maximise the fibre you get from your food. Some will send a variety of healthy meals at once that you can reheat and eat when you wish, while others will deliver daily and cover all your meals and snacks with a menu designed to fit your precise training goals. These are, of course, more expensive than cooking for yourself, but it's certainly no more expensive than a takeaway habit and a whole lot healthier. This will get your body used to the movement patterns involved and prime the relevant muscles to fire when you add weight. Lie on a flat bench holding a barbell with your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Brace your core, then lower the bar towards your chest. Press it back up to the start. Sets 4 Reps 10 Tempo Rest 20sec. Lie on an incline bench holding a dumbbell in each hand above your face, with your palms facing and a slight bend in your elbows. Lower them to the sides, then bring them back to the top. Sets 4 Reps 12 Tempo Rest 60sec. Get into position with your feet together and hands underneath your shoulders. Brace your core so your body is straight from head to heels. Bend your elbows to lower your chest, then press back up powerfully. Sets 5 Reps 8 Tempo Rest 60sec. Stand tall with a bar across the backs of your shoulders. Keeping your chest up and core braced, squat down as deep as you can. Drive back up through your heels to return to the start. Hold a bar with an underhand grip. Brace your core, then pull yourself up until your chin is higher than the bar. Lower until your arms are straight again. Sets 4 Reps 12 Tempo Rest 20sec. Hold a bar with your hands wider than shoulder-width apart. Keeping your chest up and core braced, press the bar overhead until your arms are straight. Lower it back to the start. Hold a barbell with an overhand grip, hands just outside your legs. Bend your knees slightly, brace your core, then pull the bar up, leading with your elbows. Stand tall holding a light barbell across the backs of your shoulders, feet shoulder-width apart. With your core braced, bend forwards slowly from the hips, as far as your hamstrings allow but not past horizontal. Return to the start. This uses the same moves as Workout 1 but with different protocols — low sets and high reps to focus on increasing muscle mass. Sets 3 Reps 12 Tempo Rest 60sec. Sets 3 Reps 12 Tempo Rest 20sec. Sets 3 Reps 15 Tempo Rest 20sec. Sets 3 Reps 20 Tempo Rest 60sec. Stand tall with a bar across the front of your shoulders with elbows up. Keeping your core braced, squat down as deep as you can. Stand tall in front of a barbell resting on safety bars at knee height. Using a double overhand grip, bend down and deadlift the bar up, squeezing your shoulder blades together at the top. Stand with dumbbells by your sides, palms facing forwards. Keeping your elbows tucked in, curl the weights up, squeezing your biceps at the top. Stand tall holding a dumbbell over your head with both hands, arms straight. Keeping your chest up, lower the weight behind your head, then raise it back to the start. Stand tall, holding a light dumbbell in each hand with palms facing. Keeping your chest up and a bend in your elbows, raise the weights out to shoulder height, then lower back to the start. It starts with just 20 press-ups today. If you like a medium-term goal to motivate your fitness efforts, give this a go. See the day press-up challenge. This is another workout built around press-ups — it really is a mighty exercise. With this one the aim is to do the workout twice a week for four weeks to strengthen your upper body. The workout contains five different press-ups to hit your muscles from different angles, and the recommended reps and rest change each week to keep you progressing — the numbers given below are for week one. See the press-up workout for big arms. This challenging session involves doing a variety of press-ups, taking as little rest as possible in order to stimulate growth in your chest muscles. See this press-up workout. PT Bradley Simmonds put together this workout, which works the entire upper body using bodyweight and resistance band exercises. Exploring the Global Appeal of Indian Gastronomy
Still searching for a veg Indian restaurant near me on your browser? Well, the relevance and significance of Indian eateries has grown significantly as more and more Indians have begun relocating to different regions of the world for jobs or education. The authentic and desi eateries allow people to maintain ties to their ethnicity and native country while making them feel closer to home, even if they may be thousands of miles away. Sangam Chettinad Indian Cuisine & Bar is a hit spot in Austin for Indian food lovers, drawing in locals and expats alike.
Why Get Your Desi Taste Buds Started Overseas?
Relocating or traveling abroad is a big undertaking, particularly if you are from a multicultural nation like India. Every Indian state has a signature dish, and even the cities have varying preferences. Therefore, Indian cuisine is quite varied, and it becomes extremely hard for Indians to relocate outside without access to these cuisines, spices, and herbs. However, why should someone eat Indian food overseas rather than local cuisine when visiting a new place?
Here are some reasons to taste Indian food at restaurants even while traveling:
Savour a Unique Selection of Ingredients
Everyone enjoys consuming food when it suits their tastes and preferences. Indians love their meals to be quite spicy and herbaceous, and cheese and baked bread just do not cut it sometimes. So, an Indian restaurant always considers the ingredients carefully before preparing a dish because even basic components like onion and garlic might cause problems for desi food enthusiasts.
Best Alternatives for Vegetarians and Vegans
You might have fewer vegetarian options when visiting overseas, unlike meat lovers. But cheese and bread do not always cut the cravings. So, finding a vegetarian Indian restaurant abroad that serves delicious vegetarian food that is not just salad could be your best call. Indian restaurants excel at satisfying vegan and vegetarian tastes with delicious dishes, like the tasty South Indian dosa.
Make a Healthier Choice!
Most tourists have noticed over time that eating Indian food has health advantages due to the simple yet flavourful cooking techniques employed by the chefs. Indian meals, such as a classic plate of Upma, are full of healthful herbs and spices that offer the food a great taste and make it far more nutrient-dense, vitamin-and mineral-rich, and healthier.
The Touch of Traditional Spices
Every Indian chef is familiar with authentic spices. A dish's flavor varies greatly depending on the spices and cooking methods. The improvised recipes passed down from generation to generation are periodically improved, making every meal different and delicious. As much as Indians enjoy eating other cuisines, like Chinese and Thai, nothing compares to the flavor of perfectly cooked Indian food prepared with love and a tonne of delectable spices. So, why not savor it in a veg Indian restaurant near you?
Make Your Mouth Water With the Best Flavors Today!

Eco-Friendly Kitchenware: Sustainable Choices for a Greener Home
Green living has hit the home in a big way lately. Everywhere you look people are swapping out plastics for wood, nixing paper towels for washable napkins, and clearing cabinets of toxic cleaners. The kitchen has become ground zero for this eco-revolution. choosing renewable, non-toxic goods is where it's at.
The logic is simple. These sustainable swaps are better for the only planet we've got. Avoiding BPA-laden containers means less nasty chemicals seeping into food and drink. Who wants that? Going green keeps families safer. It also saves scarce resources.
This article will run through plenty of ways to green up your kitchen situation. Stick with us to pick up solid leads on scoring durable and sustainable kitchenware made from renewable and recyclable materials. Keep things non-toxic and stay clear of single-use plastics destroying marine life. We're going to clean the house and clear out the crap literally and figuratively. Get your green on and transform how you cook and live.
Benefits of Eco-Friendly Kitchenware
Reduction of Environmental Impact
By choosing eco-friendly kitchenware made from renewable hardwood, recycled metals, biodegradable silicone, and other sustainable materials, you significantly lower environmental impact compared to standard plastics. Production of eco options uses less water, and energy, and creates fewer carbon emissions while the products themselves can be reused, repurposed, and decomposed better than synthetics that linger in landfills for centuries. Their full lifecycles generate far less waste and pollution.
Health Benefits
Conventional kitchenware made from plastics, improper metals, and treatments introduces worrisome toxins over time use through cooking and storage. Chemicals like BPA, lead, and cadmium can leach into foods and drinks, leading to disrupted hormones, cell damage, and increased cancer risks when ingested. Greener options made from natural renewable wood, plant oils, glass, and lead-free finishes greatly reduce exposure to these toxins when preparing, serving, and storing meals.
Long-Term Cost Savings
While upfront costs may be higher for some eco-friendly kitchen tools and dinnerware, focus on their durability and longevity in comparison to cheaper versions requiring continual replacement. Also factor in environmental savings - lowering trash output, emissions from manufacturing/shipping, resource use, as well as healthcare costs over years thanks to avoided toxin exposure. Eco-friendly options pay dividends through years of use.
Tumblr media
Materials Used in Eco-Friendly Kitchenware
Hardwoods
Hardwoods like acacia, beech, mango, maple, and oak are naturally durable, water-resistant woods that make for long-lasting utensils, cutting boards, bowls, and more. Their strength comes from dense cellular structures. Responsibly sourced from suppliers adhering to regenerative forestry practices, these woods can biodegrade, unlike synthetics. Acacia is one lighter hardwood gaining popularity for ease of care. Denser woods like maple resist knife nicks during meal preps. Well-oiled hardwood surfaces also inhibit germ growth for food safety.
Stainless Steel
A preferred eco-metal for flatware and cookware is stainless steel which mixes iron, chromium, and nickel for rust/corrosion resistance and hygienic properties. Unlike aluminum and copper, stainless steel does not leach metal components during food cooking and prep. Thanks to its durability and being infinitely recyclable without losing integrity, stainless kitchenware has much longer lifespans than plastics with fewer impacts from remanufacturing. Eco-friendly production methods utilize recycled content to further reduce its footprint.
Glass
Made predominantly from recycled glass mixed with sustainable ingredients like limestone and soda ash, glassware avoids toxins associated with certain plastics as no chemicals interact with foods/drinks. Stackable containers enable space efficiency. Being impermeable to gases and liquids makes glass ideal for storing and reheating leftovers safely. Its recyclability also minimizes waste. Options like borosilicate glass withstand rapid shifts between extreme temperatures.
Cast Iron & Copper
Cast iron made from recycled scrap iron offers peerless heat retention perfect for energy-efficient cooking via pan frying and baking. Naturally non-stick when properly seasoned, cast iron pans outlast most other cookware types with proper care over decades. Copper also excels at conduction and lasts when well maintained. Impactful when recycled, both metals can be fully restored for reuse instead of ending up in landfills.
Conclusion
As we've explored, filling your kitchen with eco-friendly wares made from renewable, recycled, and responsibly sourced materials has resounding positive impacts. By opting for green kitchen tools and dinnerware, you minimize environmental harm associated with standard plastics and synthetic materials from production through end-of-life. Choosing natural, non-toxic finishes and lead-free glassware also protects your family's health and safety by avoiding toxin contamination of food. The takeaway is clear - we all need to be more conscious of only having one planet with precious few resources to sustain our consumption and waste habits. Start making small but meaningful changes wherever possible, like finding Greener alternatives to outdated kitchenware. Prioritize renewable, recycled, and responsibly sourced materials first.
Here at OGGN homes, we create high-quality, sustainable cooking and dining products designed to leave a lighter footprint for generations. Explore our range of wood utensils, eco-friendly glass storage made with recycled content, and durable stainless steel cookware built to last. Join us in protecting the planet while cooking delicious meals by making eco-friendly kitchenware the new norm in every home. Small changes today lead to greener, healthier tomorrows.

What is Glutathione and its benefits!
About Glutathione
An antioxidant, glutathione is a substance that helps fight free radicals. Present in every cell of our body. Unstable molecules known as free radicals arise as a result of dietary and environmental factors. When there are more free radicals than antioxidants, oxidative cell damage occurs. This can lead to inflammation and a host of other health issues, including diabetes, high blood pressure, Alzheimer's disease, and other ailments.
Tumblr media
The benefits that are touted are quite alluring: increased energy, endurance, body cleansing, and—most importantly for me—brighter, clearer skin you can prefer glutathione skin whitening capsule for glowing skin. Remember, though, that these benefits are not supported by scientific evidence.
According to Lin, glutathione injections are common in Asian countries. Women report having more energy, stronger immune systems, increased desire for sex, and glowing, brighter complexion—an alluring promise in a culture that values fair skin. As of right now, no research has verified that it inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme necessary for the formation of melanin Some products in the market have remarkable results in best glutathione for glowing skin
Advantages of using Glutathione
Tumblr media
Helps in maintaining  insulin levels in our body
As we age, our bodies produce less glutathione. Researchers from the Baylor School of Medicine used both human and animal studies to look at the role glutathione plays in weight control and insulin resistance in older adults. The results of the study showed that lower glutathione levels were associated with higher rates of fat storage in the body and less fat burning. Glycine and cysteine were added to the meals of elderly people to raise their glutathione levels; after two weeks, these levels skyrocketed, enhancing fat-burning and insulin resistance.
Decreases the chances of  heart disease
In a  Healthcare animal study, rats with hypertension—chronic high blood pressure—who were at a higher risk of heart failure were fed a diet rich in grapes. After 18 weeks, the researchers found that the fruit's antioxidants "turned on" antioxidant defense mechanisms, which in turn raised the activity of genes that promote glutathione synthesis. In addition, the rats showed improved diastolic function (the lower number in a blood pressure reading that represents the amount of pressure the blood exerts on the arterial walls with each heartbeat) and fewer instances of heart muscle hypertrophy.
Helps in decreasing the damage of cells in alcoholic lever
A deficiency in antioxidants, including glutathione, may hasten the hepatic cell's demise. Alcohol abusers and non-abusers alike are susceptible to developing fatty liver disease. It has been shown that glutathione raises bilirubin, protein, and enzyme levels in patients with and without chronic fatty liver disease.
Glutathione was most helpful when given intravenously in big doses to patients with fatty liver disease, citing a reliable source study. Additionally, the research participants had reduced levels of malondialdehyde, an indicator of hepatic cell death.
Another small experiment found that people with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease who changed their lifestyle proactively benefited from oral glutathione. In this trial, glutathione was supplemented at a daily dose of 300 milligrams for a period of four months.
Possesses the capacity to mitigate the effects of uncontrolled diabetes.
Long-term elevated blood sugar is associated with reduced glutathione levels. Oxidative stress and tissue damage may follow from this. The study found that supplementing with glycine and cysteine raised glutathione levels. It also lessened oxidative stress and damage in people with uncontrolled diabetes, even in those with elevated blood sugar levels. For two weeks, the participants received 1.33 mmol/kg of glycine and 0.81 mmol/kg of cysteine.
Naturally, you should consult a physician if you think you may be having glutathione adverse effects.

Kids Diet has a Big Impact on Both our Physical and Emotional Health
Tumblr media
Our bodies can get the nutrition they need from a diet high in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and other nutrients to feel wonderful and function at their peak. However, a poor diet might cause our health to deteriorate.
For instance, eating fast food exposes our bodies to artificial colorings and processed sweets, which can have detrimental behavioral and physical effects, including weight gain, dental decay, high blood pressure, depression, and possibly even cognitive impairment.
They are particularly dangerous for people with ADD/ADHD and autism since ingredients like processed sugar can exacerbate the negative symptoms of these disorders by changing neurotransmitters in the brain. Eating a healthy diet and using vitamins for ADHD can assist enhance the effectiveness of our non-drug treatment processes, especially for youngsters.
Effects of a poor diet on ADD and ADHD
Both children's and adults' health may be negatively impacted by the presence of artificial colors and sweeteners in processed foods. A bad diet can impair our gut health, which is essential for maintaining both our physical and mental wellness.
eliminating your ADHD Children who eat meals with these potentially harmful ingredients may have fewer behavioral problems as well as other health benefits.
Sugar is a common ingredient in soft drinks, juices, candy bars, and other foods and beverages. Sugar can interfere with brain function (for instance, by increasing dopamine levels). Studies have demonstrated that sugar has such a strong effect that mice really prefer it to cocaine. Parents frequently complain about how their child with ADHD craves sweets, and parents may occasionally try to substitute artificial sweeteners like aspartame and saccharine for sugar. However, natural adhd supplements for children does not suggest substituting artificial sweetners for sugar because Aspartame and Saccharine may cause learning problems, headaches, and other adverse consequences in some people. To lessen the symptoms of ADHD, it's preferable to restrict your child's sugar intake and, if possible, eliminate it entirely from their diet.

Is blogging still relevant in the age of TikToks and Instagram?
"Is blogging even a thing anymore? We've all heard people say 'blogging is dead' as many times as we've heard 'content is king.' Social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram have taken over as the go-to way to express ourselves online. So, you might be wondering if blogging still matters in today's digital world.
I've been blogging since 2012, and I've noticed that since around 2014, there are fewer active bloggers. But why is that? In fact, many people wonder, 'Do folks still even blog these days?'
Instagram
Instagram came on the scene in 2010 and quickly gained a million users in just two months. In less than a year, it had 10 million users. Today, it boasts over 1 billion active users and is one of the most popular social media platforms globally.
I kept hearing claims that blogging was on its way out, and terms like 'microblogging' started popping up. The debate of Blogging vs. Instagram is ongoing among digital influencers and content creators. Many folks prefer to share their lives through Instagram, posting photos for their followers instead of maintaining a traditional blog.
It seemed like long-winded content was being replaced by shorter, more image-heavy, easily digestible stuff.
When Instagram first started, it was all about sharing everyday moments—a pic of your meal or a quick snapshot with friends in a nightclub restroom. But over time, it evolved.
Instagram started being used alongside blogs. Most bloggers wanted to use it to promote their blogs, similar to how Twitter was used. However, because Instagram doesn't allow clickable links in captions, it didn't work out as well. You could say, 'the link is in the bio,' but it's just not the same as clicking a link right then and there.
Nowadays, Instagram has become a massive force, and we hear terms like Instagrammers, Influencers, and content creators more often than words like bloggers, vloggers, or YouTubers. Instagram feeds are no longer just snapshots of people's everyday lives; they're full of carefully curated images that often look like they're straight out of a magazine. I'm not saying that's a bad thing—I'm guilty of getting lost in a stunning Instagram feed myself."

TikTok
"Do you know that back in early 2019, TikTok became the most downloaded app on Apple's iOS store? It seemed to pop up out of nowhere and just took over.
It's even seeped into Instagram – I swear, every other food-related post these days is all about some 'TikTok recipe' like baked oats or feta pasta. And then there's Instagram Reels, which is like a total copycat of TikTok. Oh, and don't get me started on how Instagram seems to favor accounts that use Reels. But hey, that's a rant for another time.
Getting popular on Instagram can be quite the challenge, but TikTok works in a way that lets anyone hit it big, even if you don't have a massive following."
URL link : https://skinnedcartree.com/2021/04/is-blogging-dead-the-rise-of-instagram-and-tiktok.html
Why are Instagram and TikTok so popular, and is traditional blogging losing its appeal?
Microblogging Is More User-Friendly
Signing up for Instagram and TikTok is straightforward. You can create an account and start posting without the technical hassles of dealing with servers, domains, hosting, or website setup. No need to search for website themes or customize widgets.
Simplicity of Use
All you need is a mobile phone to get started. Apps like Lightroom and VSCO cam allow you to edit photos from your phone and create an attractive Instagram feed. TikTok offers easy in-app video editing, removing the need for advanced software like Final Cut Pro or Adobe's programs.
Access to a Potentially Wider Audience
As Valentina Chirico points out, every influencer aims to expand their audience. Instagram and TikTok offer the potential to reach millions of existing users. The audience is there; you just need to get your content in front of them. In contrast, blogging often requires substantial effort to attract traffic through SEO, keyword research, email marketing, or networking before you can monetize.
Shorter Attention Spans
Traditional blogging focuses on long-form content, which is essential for Google ranking. However, this contradicts how people use social media and the internet today. Users prefer quick browsing, consuming content, and moving on. Instagram excels at displaying beautiful images, while TikTok is the go-to platform for short, entertaining videos.
Brands Favor Instagrammers and TikTok Influencers
One challenge for bloggers is that more brands want to collaborate with Instagrammers and TikTok influencers. Some opportunities require influencers to post on their blogs, Instagram, and TikTok simultaneously. Even if bloggers don't use TikTok or prioritize it, brands increasingly value this multi-platform approach.
So, Is Traditional Blogging Declining?
Many experts predict that traditional blogging may decline due to the rise of social media platforms and evolving digital trends. However, I believe that traditional blogging is far from dead. People will continue to read blogs, and there will always be plenty to write about.
The blog readership is changing, as is their content consumption pattern. Blogs now need to focus more on solving readers' problems and providing valuable information. List posts and how-to guides still perform well. Moreover, most blog traffic comes from search engines, underscoring the importance of SEO.
Blogging is now part of the broader content marketing landscape, where content is distributed across various platforms. While marketers increasingly collaborate with Instagrammers, the ability to work with them across multiple platforms, including blogs, remains advantageous.
We should also remember that Instagram and TikTok could suspend or delete accounts, whereas with a self-hosted blog, you have complete control. It's unwise to rely solely on one platform. Once you have a successful blog, website, and an email list, you don't have to worry about losing everything overnight.
What are your thoughts? Do you think traditional blogging is on the decline?

Intimate Wedding Packages: A Guide to Celebrating Love on a Budget
Tumblr media
Intimate weddings have gained popularity in recent years, offering couples a more budget-friendly and meaningful way to celebrate their love. One of the key elements that have made these intimate gatherings even more accessible is the availability of intimate wedding packages. In this article, we will delve into what wedding packages are and why they are an excellent choice for couples looking to tie the knot without breaking the bank.
Benefits of Choosing an Intimate Wedding Package
Wedding packages are carefully curated offerings by wedding venues and planners to cater to the needs of couples who prefer a smaller guest list and a cosier atmosphere. Let's explore some of the benefits of opting for such packages:
Cost-Effective: wedding packages are designed to be budget-friendly, making them an attractive choice for couples who want to save money on their big day. These packages often include venue rental, catering, decor, and even photography at a lower overall cost compared to traditional weddings.
Personalised Experience: With fewer guests to accommodate, couples can focus on creating a more personalised and meaningful experience for their loved ones. Intimate weddings allow for more interaction and genuine connections between the couple and their guests.
Less Stress: Planning a large wedding can be overwhelming, but wedding packages streamline the process. Many of the essential details are taken care of by the package, reducing the stress associated with wedding planning.
What's Included in Intimate Wedding Packages?
The specific offerings within wedding packages can vary depending on the venue or wedding planner. However, some common elements often included are:
Venue Rental: Most packages include access to a charming and intimate wedding venue that is perfect for a smaller gathering.
Catering: A delightful meal or buffet for the guests is typically part of the package, ensuring that everyone enjoys delicious cuisine.
Decor: Intimate weddings often feature tasteful and elegant decor that suits the smaller setting. These packages may include floral arrangements, table settings, and other decorative elements.
Photography: Capturing the precious moments of your special day is crucial. Many packages offer photography services to document your intimate wedding.
Planning and Coordination: Professional assistance in planning and coordinating the event is often part of the package, ensuring that everything runs smoothly on your big day.
How to Find the Perfect Intimate Wedding Package
Finding the right intimate wedding package requires careful consideration. Here are some steps to help you in your search:
Research: Start by researching wedding venues and planners in your desired location that offer wedding packages. Reading reviews and seeking recommendations from friends can be valuable.
Consultation: Contact the venues or planners you are interested in and schedule consultations. Discuss your budget and specific requirements to ensure they can accommodate your needs.
Compare Packages: Compare the offerings, costs, and inclusions of different packages to find the one that best suits your vision for your wedding day.
Visit Venues: If possible, visit the venues in person to get a feel for the space and ensure it aligns with your vision.
Making Your Intimate Wedding Memorable
While wedding packages offer many advantages, it's essential to remember that the key to a memorable wedding lies in the love and connection you share with your partner and your guests. Personal touches, heartfelt vows, and genuine moments of joy will make your intimate wedding a cherished memory for years to come.
Intimate wedding packages are a fantastic option for couples looking to have a beautiful wedding celebration without the hefty price tag. These packages offer cost-effective solutions while still providing a memorable and meaningful experience for you and your loved ones. When planning your intimate wedding, be sure to research, compare packages, and add your unique personal touch to make your day truly special.

Eating Everything I Can When Traveling
So I recently went on a pretty big flight. I traveled from Canada to South East Asia, with many stopovers along the way. As a side note you'll probably notice a few more Asian treats appears on this blog as well as on my social media and reviews. As an experiment I decided to document every thing I ate along the way for this trip that took almost two days. I also accepted almost every single thing given to me, even if it meant eating dinner at 3 in the morning.
I started at the Ottawa airport with a bag of potato chips, Miss Vickie's to be exact. I got these in the lounge while waiting many hours for my first flight to the other side of Canada (British Columbia). This is not going to be the last bag of Miss Vickie's I'll be eating on this trip as I believe Air Canada has some kind of deal with them.
My first full meal was a dinner I believe. I picked the cheese tortellini. Most notable about this meal is the fact that the cheese cake was super dry and on the menu the salad was said to have "a Brussel sprout" and it did. It has one single Brussel sprout sliced thinly.
This photo does not tell the truth. While pictured above is one bag of almonds, I think I had at least 3 of them over the course of this flight (about 6 hours). While I miss peanuts on airplanes, almonds aren't that bad a replacement. I much prefer them over weird snacking crackers that are also common on some flights (see below).
My second bag of Miss Vickie's potato chips came before leaving the first of 3 flights. I was only offered either a bag of chips or a chocolate bar, but I asked if I could have both and the wonderfully patient flight attendant agreed that I would need it for the rest of my long journey.  As an FYI, I saved the Kit Kat bar for later and it melted in my bag. I'm sure I'll post about it on my social media real soon.
We landed in the airport in British Columbia and headed straight for the lounge again. We had a very long (6 or 8 hour) wait ahead of us for our next flight. The lounge had a nice range of food including a constant supply of spring rolls and samosas. I came back to this several times, and it was a good warm up as the place we were going also has a lot of these available.
I couldn't leave Canada without one more bag of Miss Vickie's chips. This time I went for the salt and vinegar, probably my favourite flavour of chips in the world (you can read my full review of these right now if you like). I also had several cups of tea while waiting for this next flight, there were a few flavours to choose from with varying levels of caffeine.
There was also a large jar of cookies available throughout our wait in British Columbia. I did indulge a few times, but I ate far fewer cookies than you would expect from a guy who writes about candy for a living. I was probably just really tired and out of my mind.
Finally we boarded our next flight that would take us across the Pacific Ocean. This was a weird flight for us as we'd already eaten dinner, but because of the time changes we were offered dinner again. Allison decided to sleep, but I decided to go with dinner and I was not disappointed. This flight had a very different method of serving dinner, and it involved table clothes and multiple courses. Dinner started with a small ball of cheese with green and red stuff stuck to it (likely spinach and sundried tomato) as well as a small tart filled with some kind of fish salad.
The next course involved a potato covered in cheese and a steak. I'll be honest I'm not really a big fan of steak, but the alternative was fish and I'm even less plussed about that. I'm sure if meat and potatoes are your thing you would have been totally impressed with this, but I kept thinking about the tortellini I ate on the other flight, and the fact that I should probably be sleeping instead of eating.
For dessert, we had some kind of chocolate hazelnut pie. I'll be honest, it kind of sucked. The best part of the pie was the hazelnuts, and the best part of dessert was the grapes.
After a few hours of restless sleep we were rewarded with breakfast. There are two things worth noting about this breakfast. First of all they offered us a plate of sliced fruit, next to a fruit salad that contained exactly the same kind of fruit. So in some ways we received fruit two ways. The other thing worth mentioning is that bowl of creamy stuff on the top of the tray. I'm not sure what it was, but it was fantastic. I would describe it as some kind of pudding/yogurt with some very tasty granola mixed in.
This odd pile is the second course of the breakfast I got (they kept up the whole fanciness even for breakfast). It's supposed to be an orange and chocolate hazelnut, cream filled crepe. It tasted better than it looked, except for the fact that there was way too much orange zest on it.
We landed in Asia, and made our way quickly to our next flight. It was a tight connection and we had no time for any snacks along the way. Frankly I was so tired and messed up at that point I don't know how interested I would have been in eating at that point. We boarded our third and final flight and the first thing we received was a bag of random salty snacks. It was more in line with the cracker based snacks that I'm not too keen on, but I was happy that the peas were not too spicy with wasabi.
On this flight we received our final meal of this journey. I couldn't tell you if it was supposed to be lunch or dinner as I was pretty tired and totally messed up from the jetlag. It was a very typically Asian airline meal with some random meat served with rice and some bok choy. We also got some more fruit, but this time it included dragon fruit, a favourite of mine. I'm pretty sure I didn't manage to eat everything on my plate at this point, but it was nice to pick through it at least.
Dessert for this meal did not disappoint though. Even better was the fact that Allison was not interested in her ice cream, so I got two. While I had a hard time eating everything on this last meal, I found space for the two servings of ice cream.
We arrived at our destination just as I finished my cup of tea. The menu for this flight offered many different varieties of tea, however the flight attendant's English was not great, and when I asked about the teas she just assumed I wanted the traditional Chinese tea. It wasn't what I was thinking about, but it did hit the spot.
Make sure to check out my social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) as I'll be posting a lot of fun discoveries on this new epic journey that I'm on right now.

reviewing random bits of my trip to las vegas as i am wont to do
restaurants:
nobu (in paris): every dish in the omakase was at least good and several were fantastic. it wasn’t quite worth it at the price point when including the hot dishes but i would’ve paid equivalent for a sushi-only dinner
caesar’s brunch buffet: awesome selection and decent taste. pretty good if you’re looking for a buffet
x pot: my most anticipated meal of the trip and it lived up to the hype!! everything was delicious 😍 good balance of asian fusion!
hell’s kitchen: the best value/price restaurant we went to! feels and tastes super upscale but wasn’t particularly expensive
din tai fung: the xlb actually weren’t that good imo? but most of their other dishes were great! i loved the shao mai in particular
there were way fewer accessible fast food places than i expected. two standouts were crack shack and eggslut
because of the above we rushed our way through a lot of sit-down restaurants but most places are understanding of showtimes and are willing to give the bill with the food which is nice
resorts/casinos
we stayed in the bellagio which was a lovely place and conveniently located home base but most of my friends preferred to gamble in the cheaper casinos, so it was a pain constantly going back and forth
talking aesthetics: paris was my favourite themed casino, bellagio my favourite non-themed, and the venetian deserves a shoutout
shows
requisite disclaimer: i am Not Really A Shows Person
magic mike: fun, but i was not the intended audience
O (cirque de soleil): my fave show of the trip, the aesthetics + music + general performance was my favourite overall and the intermission clowns were charming. most of my friends found it underwhelming but it was the first show we watched and imo it simply did not get better lol
mad apple (cirque de soleil): very fun theme + music and the tricks were some of the best and most interesting, but personally i hated the comedian in between acts. again i was the minority opinion amongst my friends but he was just not for me 🤷‍♂️
mystere (cirque de soleil): kind of middling all around, this had the most acrobatic tricks if that’s what you’re looking for but it just wasn’t impressive. i didn’t enjoy the baby part of the show
misc
oh my god the desert is so dry and free water is so hard to come by. either be prepared to constantly drink tap water or pay a lot for bottled
dry heat is definitely way better than humid heat though, it was around 35 degrees while we were there and it wasn’t so bad
there’s a lot of free wifi around and even though we were a pretty big group of 13 people i didn’t feel like getting a data booster was necessary to stay in touch
anyone who says the strip is walkable has never been anywhere actually fucking walkabe lmao there is a giant road in the middle of the strip that is annoying difficult to cross and all of the casino/resorts are so big that it takes ten minutes to walk through them (and that’s if you don’t get lost) so definitely be prepared to uber. uber also kind of sucks because there are a very limited number of pick up points and it feels like a lot of drivers don’t know how to navigate them
