What I'm assuming an 'awakened ancient' is, is when one of the ancients defeats their beast and they become whole.

Mystic Flour says she was once stronger, but then her soul jam was split in two, which is why she wants the other half back. If Dark Cacao managed to take her soul jam, then he would have the power of both, like she once did, then most likely he'd become an 'awakened ancient'.

I love his costume it looks so cool. I'm pretty sure it's a "myeonbok" which is what korean kings would traditionally wear. I still don't see why it had to be an entire other rarity though, that's really stupid. It should've just been a legendary costume, or they could've even added a new costume rarity for the ancients. I don't wanna spend all my other gems on ANOTHER version of the same cookie tf 😭

!PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP!

It’s been a few hours since Pure Vanilla last saw you and he was freaking out. How did he lose you so quickly?? You’re only a little child, you could be in danger right now and he’s not even there to protect you! He went back to his castle to see if he could make a plan there and find you as soon as possible.

He went into your room again to look around and it wasn’t until now he realized that your window was wide open. Like as if someone had broken in! Has someone stolen you?! How did he not notice all this time you could’ve been stolen and he was wasting time! Pure Vanilla started to think hard of who could have possibly done it. Then it hit him….Shadow Milk Cookie….He also went to come see you when he went to your world. It couldn’t be he was still at Beast Yeast though he couldn’t have possibly taken you. Unless he somehow did since it wasn’t entirely impossible.

Pure Vanilla decided that if Shadow Milk somehow did steal he was gonna find you before any harm could be done to you. He asked Gingerbrave and his friends if they could join him on his way to Beast Yeast. They agreed and started their way over there, Pure Vanilla could only hope you weren’t in any danger and when you're back he’ll make sure to keep a better eye on you.

Meanwhile Dark Enchantress Cookie was yelling at Black Licorice for losing you and not knowing where you could be. “I can’t believe you lost the kid so easily!” “I'm sorry. It seemed like an emergency so I told the kid where the restroom was!” “You didn’t at least think not to leave the kid to go find it themselves since they could have escaped!” She was pretty pissed and now she was making a new plan to see if she could find you and bring you back.

You were in fact with Shadow Milk Cookie and he was telling you how you could help him on escaping this place. He told you all you needed to do was cut the tree down and once you did he could weaken the seal and he could escape. The only problem was that you were a little kid and you most likely didn’t have the strength you needed to cut a tree, especially one so large. You told him you would try any way to help him since it was unfair he was stuck there, obviously you didn’t know the real reason he was here, but he found it cute you were willing to help him.

Once Pure Vanilla, Gingerbrave and his friends arrived at Beast Yeast they ran towards the Silver Tree where Shadow Milk Cookie resides to see if you were actually there. He was hoping you were, but at the same time he was hoping Shadow Milk hadn’t harmed you in any way. Once they got to the tree they looked around for a bit, and there you were! Pure Vanilla Cookie was relieved, so relieved in fact that he ran towards you and engulfed you in a big hug.

“y/n dear! I was so worried about you! Are you ok you aren't hurt, are you? What happened, how did you get here? Oh I’m so sorry I couldn’t watch you better.” He held too tightly you had to pat his back to get his attention. He released you from his hug but he still held onto you. “Im ok Pure Vanilla! I'm trying to help someone!” He softly smiled at you and tilted his head “Oh? Who are you helping, little one?” He asked you. “Shadow Milk Cookie!” You told him.

“Huh..?” He seemed disoriented and couldn’t process what you had just said. Then there was a voice behind you both. “Aww can’t believe you forgot about me, I'm truly hurt!” It was Shadow Milk. He put a hand on top of his chest and head to act dramatic. You then feel Pure Vanilla grab your arm and shoved you behind him. “How dare you bring the child here, what did you plan on doing to them!” Pure Vanilla shouted at Shadow Milk. You were confused. He didn't do anything wrong, why was he yelling at him? Shadow Milk only grinded.

“Oh silly vanilly! I didn’t bring the kid here, they came here themselves!” “I won’t believe in your lies!” You tugged on his sleeve to try and get his attention and when he turned to look at him you told him that he was telling the truth and you came here yourself. Pure Vanilla then bent down to your height and placed his hands on your shoulders asking “Why on earthbread are you here?” You explained to him how you were captured by Black Licorice Cookie and escaped him and ended up here.

So Dark Enchantress Cookie was after you?

I caught up with all of the recent lore in CRK and I'm super hyped of what's to come next!

Something I noticed about the Beast Cookies though:

Before they were corrupted, they seem to look a whole lot more different than what they look like now.

Compare the 2 similar scenes in the Tale of the Five Fallen Heroes, where the Fallen Heroes were being worshipped and the part where they bring utter death and destruction in their wake. Their appearances change completely!

Makes you wonder how they looked in the past if their features weren't blocked out and stuff. Bet they'd look super cool though 👍

Oh yeah, some of them were looking completely different pre-corruption. While some looked the same like Sugar and Salt, others like Milk and Flour had looks that don’t seem to match up with their previous looks, making you wonder what they actually looked like before the whole “going mad with power” bit.

I noticed that your banner and PFP are Shadow Milk Cookie suspiciously drawn in the same CRK art style. Then I read your bio and it turns out I was right! And I also noticed that they both come from an art book that I don't know much about. Is it ok if I ask what artbook you got those images from? And if it's not too much trouble, can I see some closeups of the pages you got the Shadow Milk pics from?

Gotta be honest, this CRK updates really hasn't been interesting to me. I don't see the appeal of Shadow Milk, it's very p2w centric, I honestly feel like the beasts were made because we're out of ancients to be released, I might just be a little salty that Pistachio didn't come out despite the symbol on her chestplate is THE EXACT SAME SHAPE as White Lily's Soul Jam

And why are people acting like Shadow Milk is the only jester cookie? I'm half tempted to while watching the cutscenes have Ice Juggler comment on every little thing.

Also Lychee Dragon looks like a Jester as well.

Actually, I know why people are acting that way, kingdom-only players love to pretend Ovenbreak doesn't exist and will block people who mention Ovenbreak because they love being the most toxic people alive.

The main premise and events in the Intertwined Opposites AU

It's finally here!!!

I've managed to finally make a proper info post for my personal take on this silly possession AU craze as I've planned to do for a while since I'm totally normal about this concept (lie) /silly

Before proceeding, keep in mind that this post is gonna be pretty long as I'll be diving into important story events troughout the first half of it, so it gets the read more treatment as usual!!

There will be no crk spoilers here (except for the beast-yeast episodes), just a ""prologue" to current narrative events in the AU

•The beginning•

Everything starts in beast-yeast, once peace has been returned to the fairie kingdom

Now that the area is mostly free from danger with the silver tree's seal being properly mended, the crowd decides to start repairs and preparations to further celebrate everyone's victory for the remainder of the day.

However, as everyone starts to leave the area, something starts creeping out from the shadows created by the tree's roots

Turns out that Shadow Milk, now severely weakened from the blow taken in battle, has managed to flee from being forced back into his prison once more.

During Lily's blast of magic, he essentially "split" and discarded part of his own power as a last resort, separating what was already being sucked into the renewed seal from himself to avoid getting dragged into containment once more.

Unfortunately for the beast, both his panicked and sloppy procedure combined with the added strenght of the new guardian's spell left him with a very poor amount of strenght, with it not being enough for anything useful.

Needless to say, his mind is filled with hatred and anger as soon as he emerges

he can't really do much with this state, and thus lingers on formulating a plan to get what he wanted from the start, but how?

How would he get back on track, rid himself of the guardian, and break the seal once more like this?

The answer eventually comes to him, just right on top of a bridge alongside the one who restored his prison.

His souljam, the one he was once the owner of

Now "purified" and held by Pure Vanilla, it binds the two together with the virtue of knowledge, split in the lights of truth and deceit during the purification process.

These lights are owned by the beast, and the figure by the bridge in front of him, yet come from the same thing.

Shadow Milk has finally decided on a proper plan.

◆ What comes after and what it leads to ◆

Days pass, turning into a few weeks and ending with a trip back home to take a break and write down what happened during the beast-yeast expedition.

Everything seems to have gone well in the end, yet something still feels..wrong?

It's not the best term for it, but does the job well enough.

The vanilla kingdom is peaceful, and Pure Vanilla's return safe and sound brings back some joy to the citizens.

Yet it just doesn't feel right, he doesn't know what precisely, but the ancient is riddled with an odd feeling almost like being watched.

He might not realise it for now, but he had been right. Someone has been following him inside the castle for the entire duration of the trip.

Pure Vanilla slowly grows more wary as days pass, and his doubts are confirmed as Shadow Milk's idea is proven successful.

In the void Pure Vanilla is confronted by Shadow Milk cookie, he spills everything he's done without esitating twice, as there's no reason to hide it anymore.

Shadow Milk had always been there ever since the re-sealing of the tree, following Pure Vanilla and draining magic at a slow enough rate to not be noticed, until it was enough to take over his body without trouble.

Now that he had a "vessel" to work with, he could keep recharging power and be finally able to do his bidding.

He's questioned multiple times by Pure Vanilla, but he wouldn't budge, and the ancient manages to gather only their location and a few loose details.

This was not a void, this was a ""mind space"" where he was bound to stay while shadow milk used his body as a disguise, and he could not use magic to fight back against the beast.

Being out of options, Pure Vanilla quickly tries to think over what to do, and lingers over the situation to come up with something.

Shadow Milk proposes an idea to Pure Vanilla, sharing the vessel that both are confined in, to be sure he doesn't get caught.

This is only to one condition: the ancient must work in favour of the beast under it's watchful sight at all times

The Ancient complies, and a deal is sealed.

It's not a loss nor a victory, only a beginning

◆The current situation◆

Now that the main prologue is set, what happens precisely to both?

So, Shadow Milk cookie is essentially ""possessing"" Pure Vanilla, but not completely.

The two switch up control of the ancient's body in certain times of the day and night, sometimes Pure Vanilla is granted the lead and when he's not needed Shadow Milk takes it. He's pretty much using the ancient as a puppet, a disguise and a tool for his own gain, assigning him certain tasks so that his plan will work as intended.

Whenever one of them is not in control of their shared ""vessel"", they're send in the mindspace until the shift of control takes place and so on. Shadow milk never gives Pure Vanilla full "freedom" or personal space, having control of the shifts in lead and constantly keeping the ancient under watch trough mirrors and reflective surfaces (The only moments in which he's given alone time is when the beast is asleep in the mind space to retain magic).

The ancient, on the other hand, accepted Shadow Milk's offer right away without esitation, but for a much different reason.

Pure vanilla is trying to get the best out of his situation, and thus feels forced to go against his own morality to keep cookies safe and attempt to alarm them trough hints and hidden messages scattered in the kingdom.

Even if he doesn't like the means, what else could he do to keep everyone safe?

The difficulty of his situation causes him great stress and paranoia, which worsens as time goes on and Shadow Milk regains his powers bit by bit, making his actions more difficult to get away with unnoticed.

Here's some more info regarding the effects of sharing a vessel in two:

• Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk's connection by souljam makes sharing a body possible, otherwise it would be fatal to most cookies (As they're not made to be vessels).

• The slit in the souljam is a shared element which hints at Shadow milk's presence in both, during control shifts it flickers in different shades of gray.

• Remaining on the topic, control shifts are not plesant in the slightest to both parties involved, being defined by acute physical pain on the area covered by the souljam. This is inflicted on the current cookie in charge of the vessel during the shift, fading away only when back in the mindspace.

•The two can see eachother and comunicate trough reflective surfaces, with them displaying the current entity in the mindspace instead of the one leading the vessel.

• Pure Vanilla's voice sounds somewhat overlapped or distorted when shadow milk is in charge of his body, he can't change this aspect unfortunately for him.

• Certain factors like hunger and thirst are shared between the two due to their predicament, they can sometimes be heard debate over what to eat and when during the day.

• Sleep in the traditional sense is the only factor distinct to the two instead of being shared, as it's strictly based on "individual energy" rather than "shared energy"

About the continuation that I requested Role-Swap Au.

After the Sacred Tree Seal is crushed in Crispia/Pure Vanilla Kingdom and a pure vanilla cookie comes out.

What Happened To the Cookies ?

So, uh, the entire Beast Yeast arc (as we know of it basically) happens a bit differently in the role-swap au.

basically, the way it kicks off isn't because DE(or well, DP here) is going to Beast Yeast(name remains the same.). But rather because PV's seal is weakening which is a very 'uh oh' moment. So via the soul jam he contacts Shadow Milk via weird prophecy dream of the seal breaking.

And since SM knows about the seal, he concludes that 'oh shit, Dark Priestess is gonna try and break the seal on the ancient beasts.' So he leaves Elder fairy( who exists now and is Shadow Milk's advisor/royal counselor(thanks to @/average-crk-enjoyer 's suggestion) in charge and gathers the ginger gang up because for some reason they're really good at thwarting evil plots and the like.

So the gang head off to beast yeast! Yippee! Along their way to the fabled fallen Vanilla Kingdom( that fell with the rise of the beasts) they meet a rather... Odd looking cookie, who doesn't really give them a name but asks that they simply continue calling him 'Spirit', as that's what he seems to be.

Spirit leads them all the way until they get near the fallen Vanilla Kingdom. where he then disappears so whoever Silver bell is going to be swapped with shows up. That's pretty much a;; i have for now but I don't think that it'll be Pure Vanilla that pops his head out like Shadow Milk did in canon, i think it'd be Hollyberry or Golden cheese tbh

also fun fact since PV created the seal he can astral project himself outside of it for small periods of time. and if spirit cookie shows up before and stays for when the seal breaks... well, Pure Vanilla's lie will hastily come undone. Because they'll be able to recognize his soul jam's magic coming from spirit.

also sorry mystic flower but you don't get any fancy moon magic to bring back your good half, you get a cybernetic body to hold a crystal containing the non-corrupted essence of your soul. cause like, the vanilla kingdom had pretty advanced tech, right??? maybe I'm mis-remembering tho.

it must be so wild to find out that the power you earnt, the ability bestowed upon you for being pure and worthy, is nothing more than a fraction of everything you fight against. to watch the light of freedom be corrupted by the realisation your kind aren't meant to live, and see what should encourage peace be warped into a motive for destruction. to know that the devastation sent through the land is because you couldn't uphold your promise of keeping it all from going too far. to wait for the night of the crescent moon and attempt to fix it all, only to wind up with nothing more than a curse instead and nobody to blame but yourself. to be attacked in your homeland, to watch a war break out that you know is your fault, and to have the only way to stop it be to sacrifice your own power, the power you've used to bring together your world. to have it all taken away of your own volition in what should have been a final fight, to attempt to banish yourself and the one you love most for the good of all, to send away your people and your kingdom and everything you know. to try to isolate yourself for an eternity in a final, desperate act of sacrifice even though you know you cannot die. to expect that to be the end, only to go down in history as a legend and wander alone years later with no memory of your past and the last remnants of your soul appearing through your dreams. to wonder how you came to be, how you're still alive, then to remember it all and regain an identity that has lost its allure to your failures.

to be reminded of your mistakes by the harbingers of all that you oppose, to be easily incapacitated by reminders of how little purity you have left. to set out to reunite with others of your stature, your friends, to find those who share a common goal of protection, and find out just how deeply this power has corrupted their lives. to regain your strength and watch as the person who used to be your closest friend repeatedly pushes you away, insistent that you are but an obstacle she needs to be rid of, to find that same friend's soul split in two. to be a healer, to have the designated role of repairing and cleansing, only to struggle for a solution that will fix wounds that seem far too deep to close. to cause damage and harm and devastation despite wanting anything but, and see those who stayed steadfastly, fatally loyal to you fall at the hands of a monster you crafted. to search for the truth because you are the truth, you have been since you faced the trials and passed, and now it's up to you to find a way to fix this.

to learn that more of your own soul could be used to bring part of a loved, corrupted hero you have missed more than anything back, and to offer it up without hesitation regardless of the impact it could have on yourself. to be denied further sacrifice and see her return, only for her to push you away even now, desiring solitude rather than the solidarity you have been craving for years and years and years. to discover that your power is not your own, that it once belonged to another, that it was salvaged from corruption and destruction and illusions. to encompass light and purity and selflessness and leadership and truth, only to find out that you are nothing more than hastily purified deceit. to be selected as the one to stop the chaos and hatred, to have the fate of the world rest on your decisions.

to see the original wielder of your power be released and know that all you have is the result of another's descent into darkness. to see that your predecessor is a cookie and a beast all at once, to know that they are infinitely stronger than you and back in your world, among those you love. to be the parallel to a monster, the immovable object to an unstoppable force, to reflect deceit with a light of truth you can no longer truly trust. to discover your values are not inherently good, that they are born of the aftermath of evil, that you are simply a tiny fragment of unimaginable power where you used to be considered one of the strongest beings in existence. to see the cycle repeat in the one you care for most, and watch her blame herself for the horrors that have passed and the horrors to come, and wish you had prevented all of this while you still could. to see that your life is built on a throne of lies, and face off against a puppetmaster who shows undeniable, damning similarities to yourself, even down to his appearance. to be alone and yet not, to have power and know it has been corrupted before, to see what you have the potential to become if ever your soul begins to regress. to have back half of what you have so dearly missed, but at what cost? to know you must defend, must remain good, and try not to fall as the weight of your entire world settles heavily on your shoulders, because you are a protector, a ruler, a symbol, a hero, a healer, an embodiment of knowledge and greatness and power and truth, even as the very foundation of all you thought you knew continues to crumble bit by bit. wild.

on a scale of one to ten, how hyped are we for the next CRK update?

Me, I’m so excited that I’m doing a mystic flour/Maria Rose artwork countdown, where for the next week I draw one mystic flour art per day. I think I should do this little ritual with the other beasts as well

It's a Perfect 10/10! Dark Cacao is the first of the Ancient Heroes that I got in the Gacha, getting him during my second month of playing (and when Wildberry was the Featured Cookie in the Gacha).

And seeing every other Ancient get either a buff (Pure Vanilla & Hollyberry) or completely reworked (Golden Cheese & White Lily) I feel like it's about time for Dark Cacao to gain something equally as well-deserved at his dearest friends.

Also Danganronpa Vibes has been in my brain for too long knowing that Dark Cacao has the same English VA as Nekomaru. And a random prediction that Mystic Flour might have the same English VA as Hiyoko/Kirumi (Kirumi specifically if it's the Japanese VA), based on her design and potential personality.

Interesting Fact: Dark Choco also has his VA appear in Danganronpa. Specifically his Japanese VA who voice acted as Juzo from the anime exclusive Danganronpa Future Arc & Despair Arc.

Number One thing that I'm excited for though: Dark Choco finally returning, and hopefully saving his father from despair and guiding him towards hope! Even the biggest potential to have a truly wholesome Father-Son Family Moment, that can finally ease both their minds.
