Against the Group
•🐺🩵•
Summary: Klaus was the big bad guy and your friend group wanted to kill him but you had a secret, one that they would forever hate you for, being his soulmate
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x f!reader
•Masterlist•

Klaus came into town as the big bad wolf and since everyone is obsessed with Elena and saw she could do no wrong they despised Klaus but the first time I met him was like magic
•flashback•
Everyone was fighting over how to get rid of Klaus I went in a walk through the forest it always relaxed me, hearing branches snap I turn quickly seeing the most magnificent man I’ve ever seen and my heart was light and something snapped within me
“What’s a little bunny like you doing all alone, you know there’s a big bad wolf running around Mystic Falls” his accent did things to me
“And you must be the infamous Klaus, you don’t seem so scary to me, quite lovely actually” he steps forwards until I’m backed up to a tree as he looms over me
“This town might not be so bad after all, found myself a sweet little mate”
•flashback over•
After that he told me everything about werewolves having mates, they’re like soulmates, tied to eachother and he treated me like I was a goddess but we kept it a secret because I didn’t want to others to hate me
I woke up to a knock on the door and there stood Klaus with a bouquet of my favorite flowers
“Come in! What do I owe the pleasure my bad wolf?” He smirks laying the flowers on the table and speeding both of us to my room where magically there are pedals everywhere and candles
“How did you do this?” I ask smiling as he gently lays me down and crawls ontop of me
“You’re a heavy sleeper” he laughs as he kisses down my neck
“I want you Klaus” I gasp when his fangs lightly graze my shoulder
“And you’ll have me my love, for all of eternity”
That night he shows me all the ways he loves me, showing me exactly what I’ve been missing all this time, gasping he rolls over and pulls me to his chest holding me tight
“I love you Klaus”
•
Weeks went by and our secret remained that, a secret except Rebekah and Elijah knew, they took interest in me after they saw how I changed Klaus’s behaviour
Siting on the couch of the Salvatore house with the others scattered about just relaxing for once
“Y/n I have a question?” Tyler asks grabbing the attention of the others
“Yeah what is it Ty?”
“You smell different”
“Excuse me?” My eyes wide
“I just mean, your scent it’s changed like, this is gonna sound weird, but it’s the smell females get when they’re mated” my cheeks become red and I’m a blubbering mess
“OH MY GOD! Y/N WHY DIDNT YOU TELL US WHO IS IT?” Caroline asks super excited knowing i was never with a guys before
“I ummm…..it’s nothing don’t even worry about it” I laugh awkwardly now everyone is crowded around me
“Y/n come on I’ve told you all the details about my first time come on” Elena groans
“I…..I can’t you guys won’t like it” I rub my hands together anxiously as I stand up and try to leave making my way past them and running out the door
“Wait!” Stefan calls out worried but I’m already in my car driving off to the mikaelsons, getting to their door I knock and there my lovely mate stands
“My lovely bunny what’s got your heart littering so fast?” He asks as he takes my hand and brings me inside
“The group were badgering me about who my first time was with, Tyler could smell that I’m “mated” I got flustered and had to get out of there” I sigh plopping down on the couch
“We could always tell them” he smirks as he brushes my hair back
“Let me just try and ease them into it, tell them all the amazing things you do for me, the amazing things you make me feel” I smile laying my head on his chest as he lays us down
“I think I can live with that little bunny now let me take care of you”
•
I wake up to Klaus’s arms around me holding my head to his chest and his other hand around my back
“Klaus wake up…..I have to go I have a doctors appointment” he groans sleepy as he rolls over to make me lay ontop of him
“You promise to come back”
“Of course I always do my love”
I got ready and he walks me to the door, opening it but pulling me back for a moment pulling me into a deep kiss
“Drive safe my angel” he whispers
“What….. the….. hell” I turn to see Damon and Caroline
“I…..can explain”
“Are you…..is he the guy you’re sleeping with?” I look back up at Klaus and he’s smirking which settles me a bit
“Maybe”
“Y/n how could you he’s trying to kill Elena, we’ll all of us for that matter” Caroline whines
“I can’t deal with this right now I have to go to the doctors” I walk past them to my car but Damon speeds infront of me and slams me against my car making me cry in pain
“Damon stop” Damon is flung off me as Klaus lifts me to my feet holding me gently
“Are you okay?” I hold the back of my head and nod
“I’m fine I gotta go to the clinic I’m gonna be late”
“I’ll come with you, make sure you’re okay” I nod and he drives me to the clinic, I check in and we sit in the waiting area
“So why are we here again, I didn’t here anything about you being sick before today”
“I just haven’t been feeling normal, thought I’d check just in case”
“I could just give you some of my blood”
“It’s not something blood can fix” then my name is called and I go in alone, after some test the doctor comes back
“Well the results are in, congrats you’re pregnant!” My heart drops I didn’t know whether to me happy or worried how could I be pregnant
I walk out and Klaus is by my side immediately and walking me to the car
“My love you’re as white as a ghost what did the doctor say”
“Let’s just go back to your place and I’ll tell you” we got back quickly and he speed me to the living room where Rebekah and Elijah we sat
“Y/n you don’t look so good” Rebekah says bringing me a glass of water
“How is this possible I’m so confused”
“Please tell me you’re worrying me”
“I’m pregnant” and they all gasp
“You cheated on me” Klaus yells
“No I swear you know I’ve only ever been with you, maybe…..maybe it’s your wolf side right you’re a wolf first” I say panicked
“She’s right Niklaus you can smell your scent and only you’re on her can’t you” Elijah said as Klaus breathed me in his eyes growing wide
“It’s true, so….this baby is mine” I nod as he settles down
“I’m going by to have a niece or nephew!!” Rebekah chimes in excited
“How will it come out, wolf? Vampire? Human?”
“I guess we will have to see my little bunny”

“Hello, love.” Caroline could do a lot of things: turn away, get her chocolate anyway, say anything— Instead, standing there with her shopping list on her hand and only a gallon of laundry detergent in her cart, the only thing that comes out of her mouth happens to be … “What are you doing here?” One of his eyebrows ticks up. He turns his head towards the chocolates in his arms, then back to her, and the expression on his face communicates something like, isn’t it obvious? “Shopping,” he says. “I’d have thought,” says she, “that you had people to do your grocery shopping for you. Nice little hybrid minions on leashes?” He doesn’t rise to the bait, though the flash of gold in his eyes—just there for a fraction of a moment—shows her that he notices it. “We ran out of chocolate,” he says instead. “Rebekah’s doing, I suspect. She’s been watching sad romance films and moping over that quarterback of yours.” “So you … went to get more. Yourself.” He shrugs. “I had nothing better to do.”

Occasionally, the lavish old manor at the edge of Mystic Falls will come alive. It’s far less dramatic than it sounds: it’s Liz’s family dropping in for a visit. To be entirely fair, they are dramatic about it, but then again, they’re dramatic about everything. Sometimes she wonders if that’s a thing that comes with age, or is vampire blood working through one’s system and altering it enough.

“Well …” says Caroline somewhat delicately, “if you can’t even talk to me, I don’t think I can trust you in my city with vervain and a stake and God knows what else. You did just try to kill a vampire.” “Your city.” “You understand, of course. I have people to protect. If someone who wasn’t my step-sister tried to pull a stake on me, they’d be dead already. Dad loved you, that’s why I’m letting you and your wife leave in peace.” She shrugs. “I mean, I would like to talk to you. It’s been a very long time. Seeing you is like a slap from the past. But I’m not gonna make you. You can go.”

Let’s hear it, then: would you willingly move to Mystic Falls? I mean … no. *laughs* But! But I do think I’d like to visit one day. To see, like, all the places we talked about. But I’d also, like, probably be ready to bolt it at a moment’s notice, as soon as I see anything even mildly suspicious. Wouldn’t want to end up being stabbed repeatedly? No, I don’t think anyone would be interested in that, to be honest. You don’t know what people’s kinks are.

She’s known of vampires since a few days after her wedding. She’s known they were truly real and returned since an evening in 2009, she’s known her daughter was one since a terrible day a couple of months later. The agelessness is still strange to swallow. Sometimes she doesn’t notice it at all, and sometimes it grips her heart and screams into her face. Stefan Salvatore was just a boy when she saw him first, a scion of a Founding Family, future Council member. Then he wasn’t. Klaus was a face she saw in the street once or twice and paid no attention to until the day he came to her door, unbearably smug, eyes dancing with cruelty.

But Stefan’s not looking at her—he’s looking at Klaus, whose eyes are gleaming gold. “Well,” he drawls, cutting off Lexi’s tirade. “Stefan and I really must be off. Lots to do, after all.” “Yeah, no one is leaving until I get an explanation that makes sense,” she growls. “And until then, I’m not letting Stefan go anywhere with you.” “I’m amazed you think you have a choice in the matter, sweetheart. Regardless, we’ll be off now. Stefan!” To heel goes unspoken. Stefan grits his teeth together. For Elena. This is all for Elena. For Damon. “Fine,” Lexi exclaims, and then she’s pushing past. “Then I think I’ll be hanging around for the foreseeable time, if you don’t mind, Mister Klaus.”

“In the spirit of honesty,” Lord Stefan says brightly, “I can tell you about how I broke my arm as a boy falling off a tree because Nik—” He pats the prince’s shoulder, and his eyebrow curves, “—said I couldn’t. And to make matters worse, I cut my hand open on a rock. The scar is still here.” He shows them his palm, where there’s indeed a faint white line running across it. “You speak as if you were at the brink of death,” the prince drawls at that, observing them all lazily with hooded eyes. “If you had listened to me, you wouldn’t have been injured.” “I know that.” Lord Stefan huffs out a laugh. “But we were just boys, and you certainly didn’t sound like you were concerned for my wellbeing when you told me I couldn’t do it.” “Oh, that’s a given,” Caroline says, waving a hand. “Lena, do you remember when I nearly drowned because you told me that that starfish was too deep down to bring out?” “It was,” Elena groans. “Caroline, it’s not funny, I’d never been so frightened in my life. I thought I’d killed you.” “You didn’t,” she shrugs. “And I got you the starfish, so …” Elena shakes her head. “Caroline will have you believe I’m some sort of fiend, my lord, but it’s her who was the instigator of nearly all of our childhood adventures.” Caroline grins. “You say that like it’s a bad thing. I would beg to differ.”

The look in Cindy’s eyes is fierce in a way that Caroline hadn’t imagined her capable of. Some colour has returned to her cheeks—she seems to seethe with rage now that her fear had subsided some. “How did our father die, Caroline?” “Due to his own stubbornness, mostly,” says she.

Kat even mentions in this video how close her and Claire was. So it's just down right cruel to utilize that on-screen. Also about her and Paul, them being a trio in season 4 would have been iconic and make that season way less garbage.
Exactly, why try to focus pointless friendships between Rebekah and Caroline or Rebekah and Elena when you already establish that Caroline and Elena didn’t like Rebekah instead of giving us bonbekah moments.
This reminds me of the same thing that happened with Klonnie. Before Joseph was given a love interest on the show him and Kat made it know that they got along well behind the scenes. Kat even talked about how she caught Joseph watching a Klonnie shipping video (making it know that they both were aware that people were shipping their characters together). They both even supported the idea of Klonnie having more scenes together. Then all of a sudden Joseph is being paired with Candice for klaroline when their characters had no interactions. It’s funny bc even tho klaroline became a pair Joseph still publicly vouched for Klonnie.
It’s like the writers purposely pushed Kat away from any well loved characters to sideline Bonnie/Kat even more than they already did in and outside the show. Like a big slap in the face; I don’t respect or like you so I’ll make your character suffer as well.
The same thing happened with Paul bc in season one Bonnie and Stefan had so many good scenes together and people would ship Bonnie and Stefan given Paul and Kat’s Chemistry. Then suddenly Caroline and Stefan are getting more screen time together and are now besties even tho Stefan barely acknowledged Caroline in season 1 nor cared for her. Bonnie was the one he would go out of his way to be friends with and care for. Stans always use that time Kat said she couldn’t focus around Paul bc they would laugh and joke around as a way to explain why Bonnie and Stefan began to have less screen time together but I think it’s simply bc the writers didn’t want Bonnie having any shine. Especially with the main character who are the viewers loved.
When it comes to Bonnie, Stefan and Rebekah being a trio I can see it. To go deeper since season 4 Bonnie was “dark” and was obviously struggling dealing with Shane’s/Silas’s mind manipulation, understanding expression and balancing family issues with her mother and father being around Stefan and Rebekah being friends to her would of been fresh and nice to see. Especially when Bonnie already seen the dark side of Stefan (ripper side) and in season 3 Bonnie work with a dark side of Stefan (no humanity) it would of been cool if the writers make Bonnie a source of light, hope or peace for Stefan at that time he was going through things then turn around in do the same with Stefan for Bonnie. Then adding in Rebekah as a fresh face bringing in her good vibes would have been fun as well. Imagine Rebekah taking 2 of the most serious and reserved characters in the show loosing them up and having a good time. That would of been good to see. And since both Stefan and Rebekah both knew Bonnie’s ancestors (Ayana and Grams) them sitting around, chillin and telling Bonnie stories about their time with her ancestors would have been such sweet moments for Bonnie. Especially since she was going through her dark time and rarely got any Intel on her ancestors.
The amazing storylines that could of came from Bonnie were endless. It annoyed me so make hearing that the writers excuse for not writing Bonnie better was them just not knowing what to do with her when it was obvious that they could but didn’t want to. You claim you don’t know what to do with Bonnie or how to write her but when you need a quick fix Bonnie’s there for you. They would even add onto Bonnie’s family dynamics to push forward other storylines while making it have no true connection back to Bonnie nor caring how it affected her negatively. So when you need to push the plot all of a sudden you know how to write for Bonnie but when it comes to caring for Bonnie’s character in general then it’s “oh we don’t know what to do”.
Seems fishy to me. 🤔

Stoner Tea (1/3) 2.6k
The one where Rebekah’s solution to Bonnie’s panic attack is serving stoner tea at her anti-curfew party. 4x03
TW: dissociation/panic attacks.
If you asked Bonnie how she got to history class—well—she’d struggle to answer. Her morning blended into one big blur. Someone else must’ve woken up, drove to school, and walked into first period because she didn’t remember a thing. It was like the times she sleepwalked, but worse because an invisible barrier separated her from the world. It left her trapped in a fuzzy haze, while everyone else buzzed in the background at their desks. Was she even there? Awake? In a weird lucid-magical-dream? Who-freaking-knew?
A yelp across the classroom tore down the mist. Bonnie’s head snapped toward Elena, who yanked a bloody pencil out of her shoulder. The black veins under Elena’s eyes made Bonnie’s chest tighten. Elena was one of them now. A vampire. All because Bonnie failed to bring Elena’s humanity back from the Other Side before she transitioned.
Grams had warned Bonnie against dark magic, had tried protecting her from the spirits’ wrath. Then, Klaus kept pushing and pushing her to put him back in his original body and Gram’s grip on her hands had gotten tighter and tighter—no—she couldn’t think of that right now.
Bonnie shifted her focus to the smug thousand-year-old vampire instead. Rebekah. She looked how Bonnie wanted to feel: like she didn’t have a care in the world. Rebekah offered a faux-sweet smile to Elena and slipped into a chair at the front of the class.
The bell rang before it could escalate further. Good. Bonnie’s temple already throbbed enough without a vampire fight breaking out at eight-thirty. She needed one day where everyone got along. No neck snaps or death threats—just one normal day of senior year. Was that too much to ask?
Speaking of normal; a new history teacher offered a standard introduction. Ms. Hawthorne: a newbie right out of college. She wrote her name on the blackboard and shared her philosophy about her approach to teaching, which centered on collaborative learning. “Teamwork among students fosters an environment where you can learn from each other, share ideas, and work together to solve problems.” It sounded like a literal nightmare.
Bonnie rested her cheek on her palm and doodled during Ms. Hawthorne’s ten-minute rant about the importance of “peer learning.” But then came the big guns: middle school styled ice-breaker activities that required everyone’s participation.
Ms. Hawthorne got everyone to write their name on a scrap of paper and collected them into the round whisker basket. The idea was to pair random kids together to interview each other so they could share interesting facts about their partner to the class. Students went up to the desk one-by-one and plucked a random name out of the basket hung at the end of her desk.
The exercise sounded simple, right? Except for Rebekah’s turn. The blonde’s reception in class was hard to ignore. First, came the bad. Stefan tapped his daylight ring against his desk, obviously paranoid she’d provoke Elena into snapping.
Everyone else had more positive reactions. Jeff Gillies, David Bance and John Albrecht sat side-by-side in the center row, wiggling their eyebrows behind Rebekah’s back as she stood up. Sarah Beasley’s desk screeched as she twisted it to face the Original vampire, and Savannah Davis drooled in the row beside Bonnie.
Rebekah’s popularity had been pretty obvious since the day she stole the cheerleading squad right out from Caroline. But there was a difference between everyone smiling at you in the hallway and people gaping at you like you owned the world. They either wanted to be her or be with her. It made sense, really. A pretty girl with a pretty accent who made hearts stop when she walked into a room. She possessed this mysterious magnetism, that certain ‘je ne sais quoi,’ which all her family had in one way or another.
Maybe humans subconsciously sensed Rebekah's power and their blatant admiration and flattery for her was their way to submit to the predator.
Or maybe they just wanted to kiss a pretty girl.
Well, that was Bonnie’s theory, anyway.
The one thing for sure? Everyone wanted the chance to be her partner—even Elena—who sat up a little straighter with a sharp pencil poised for attack. And Rebekah? She flipped her hair over her shoulder, graced the room with a knowing hiked eyebrow, and went to dip her hand in the basket.
Stefan shot across the room a little too fast to be normal and swiped the paper out of Rebekah’s hand. He didn’t even bother unfolding it before he declared, “Bonnie’s your partner.”
“Liar,” Rebekah accused. “It says Elena, doesn’t it?”
He leaned against the desk in a pretty bad attempt to look casual and said, “Nope.”
“Hand it here, then,” she said.
“Do you have something against Bonnie?” he asked.
“Nope,” she mocked him, halfheartedly trying to grab the paper.
“Sounds like you do,” he insisted.
“I do not.”
He shrugged and asked, “Then what’s your problem?”
“I’m not the one who has an issue. What’s the matter, Stefan? Afraid to let fate decide? I wonder why that is? Hmm?” Rebekah asked, waving her index finger toward Elena. Rebekah’s smug smile radiated superiority. “Oh—Elena—there’s a splotch of blood on your shirt. Wonder how that got there? You should really be more careful. I see why Stefan’s up here and not you. Wouldn’t want you to get a papercut, would we?”
“I’ll show you a papercut,” Elena said, standing up.
Bonnie tried to defuse the situation by ‘spontaneously combusting’ the remaining paper inside the whisker basket. Grams’ pained face flashing behind her eyes stopped her in her tracks. A sharp jolt rippled through her skull when she tried again, making her grip her pencil so tight that the tip snapped against her notebook.
The crack caught the vampires’ attention.
“You okay, Bon?” Elena asked, eyebrows drawn together,
“Peachy,” Bonnie replied, grabbing one half of the pencil and placing it over her heart. She asked under her breath, “Do I need to snap it into thirds?”
Rebekah snorted.
Stefan sighed.
And Elena flopped back into her chair.
Tension successfully cut.
“Okay, kids, obviously there’s history here,” Ms. Hawthorne said. “As much as I love teen drama, let’s all take a deep breath. It’s the luck of the draw, okay? No special treatment here. It’s designed this way, so no one feels left out. Now, Stefan, Rebekah, how do you think this bickering makes Bonnie feel?”
Bonnie almost laughed at the concern and offered, “Oh, I’m totally fine going partnerless. Thanks.”
“I don’t condone exclusion in my classroom,” Ms. Hawthorne said. Did she blink back tears? Great. Someone clearly bullied this woman in high school and now she projected her issues onto the nearest tangible target. Bonnie. “Now one of you two will be her partner, and that’s final. But the choice won’t be down to either of you. Bonnie? What do you say? Who do you want to be your partner?”
“Why do I always get caught in the middle?” Bonnie muttered.
“My bad,” Stefan said, not-so-subtly nodding in Rebekah’s direction as he dropped the name-slip he stole at her desk.
Bonnie unfolded the scrap of paper and revealed a name scrawled in a familiar handwriting. Elena. Ugh. Stefan might’ve been dramatic about it but he was right. Elena and Rebekah? Talk about the worst possible scenario.
“Well?” Rebekah said, sauntering over and placing her palms on Bonnie’s desk. “Who shall it be? Saint Stefan or little old me?”
“Guess we’re partners, Mikaelson,” Bonnie said.
“Goodie,” Rebekah said, sliding the nearest combo desk close to Bonnie. “I’m so over their drama.”
Like she didn’t impale Elena with a pencil. “Uh-huh.”
“I know that look,” Rebekah said, narrowing her eyes. “You think I’m a wretched, heartless bitch. Join the club.”
“I don’t think anything,” Bonnie denied, doodling in her notebook with an ink pen. Black overshadowed the page. Creepy, wispy shadows that looked like they belonged at a death ritual. Yet she kept sketching, letting her subconscious throw up on the page. “Besides, I don’t have time for extracurriculars.”
“The point in this exercise is to speak freely,” Rebekah said, swiping the pen away.
Bonnie rolled her shoulders back, watched the pen spinning between Rebekah’s fingers, and said, “Right.”
“I won’t bury a pen in your chest if that’s what you’re worried about.”
Bonnie scoffed. “I’m not scared.”
“So, I’m not even a blip on your radar? Is that what you’re saying?” Rebekah asked, leaning in close and bopping Bonnie’s nose with the blunt end of the pen. “That may be even more offensive, Bonnie.”
“You like cheerleading, you’re average at physics, and you’re a big on family,” Bonnie listed. “What else is there to know?”
“A lot of things.”
“Like your crush on Matt?”
Rebekah’s nose scrunched. “I think that died the moment I sent him off that bridge, don’t you? I realized I didn’t like him much, anyhow.”
“Oh?”
“Spend nearly a century in a box and your judgment on romantic prospects may suffer temporarily. No matter. My taste is back and better than ever.”
“Do I want to know?”
“That’s the point of this exercise, is it not?” Rebekah asked, tilting her head to the side. “To get to know one another better?”
“I guess?”
“Your enthusiasm is infectious.” Rebekah’s voice dripped with sarcasm. “I’ll start. First, my physics is flawless, thank you very much. I’ve recently taken up baking in my new state-of-the-art kitchen. I notice you clench your jaw quite a lot. Baking a great stress reliever. You should try it sometime.”
“You’re lecturing me on my stress levels? Seriously?”
“Don’t think of it as a lecture and more as sound advice,” she said, actually sounding kind of genuine? Rebekah’s eyes locked onto Bonnie’s, and Bonnie couldn’t help but be struck by how pretty they were—how blue— how sincere. “You’re having heart palpitations even now with zero stressors. That can’t be healthy.”
“Zero stressors?” Bonnie repeated, scoffing at the thudding of her heart. She motioned toward the blonde. “Hello?”
“I am a sight to behold, I give you that.”
“I can’t with you,” Bonnie said, laughing at the girl’s ego.
“Oh, speaking of stressors, my brother “died” at the hands of your teacher. Mr. Saltzman was a threat to the rest of my family. There was only one way to take him out. Tell me you wouldn’t have done the same.”
“Can we not?” Bonnie asked, rubbing her temple. “I’ve got a raging headache. I don’t feel like being collateral damage when you and Elena brawl it out again.”
“I’ll have you know I tried burying the hatchet with her. I even invited her to—” she grabbed a flier and planted it on Bonnie’s desk, “—my anti-curfew party, which you are more than welcome to attend. Think of it as a clean slate. Let bygones be bygones. What do you say?”
Parties in this town never played out well. Not for Bonnie, anyway. Everyone thought they could kick back and destress and then someone’s body got drained of blood or a poor sucker got compelled to jump off a balcony. She got swept away to perform some emergent spell most of the time and didn’t even get to have one drink. What was the point?
Just when Bonnie was about to say no, she caught Rebekah’s fingers crossed. And Rebekah remained motionless too, as if her breath were trapped in her chest.
Huh.
What was that about?
“Okay, time’s up, everyone!” Ms. Hawthorne said, clapping her hands together before Bonnie could give Rebekah an answer. “I want you to tell me three things about your partner. First, their name, and two interesting facts about them. It’ll make it easier for me to humanize you when I’m grading your papers. Let’s start with Rebekah and Bonnie. Hopefully, it was worth the drama?”
“Ladies first,” Bonnie said.
“Well, if you insist . . .” Rebekah agreed.
Bonnie crossed her arms and leaned back in her seat. What could Rebekah say about her, anyway? That Bonnie successfully transferred her brother’s soul to another body—not once—twice? Or Bonnie had a habit of napping during physics class and Rebekah liked to throw balled up papers at the back of Bonnie’s sleeping head?
“This is Bonnie Bennett,” Rebekah said, starting off strong. “Aquarius. Some might say martyr. And she’s in desperate need of a stress detox. So, in the spirit of “teamwork,” I’m assigning myself the duty of making sure she has fun today. What say you, Bonnie?”
Bonnie did a double take and said, “Say what now?”
“Wow! Hold that thought, Bonnie. I need to capture this for my records. I can’t believe I hooked up a bullied student a new friend on my first day,” Ms. Hawthorne said, taking out her phone and pointing it in their direction. “Smile!”
Bonnie’s mouth dropped open and asked, “What is even happening?”
Rebekah smushed their cheeks together and posed for the photo. “So, that’s a, ‘yes?’”
“You’re not going to stop, are you?”
“Nope,” Rebekah confirmed
“Fine.”
“You won’t regret it.”
“Now, Bonnie, it’s your turn. Two facts about your new friend,” Ms. Hawthorne said.
“Stress bakes. Awful at physics,” Bonnie deadpanned.
An awkward silence stretched out, followed by Ms. Hawthorne’s cheery, “I’ll take it.”
Ms. Hawthorne moved onto the next pair. The next half hour went in the same vein. Except no one else got roped into being a pet project. Bonnie resumed doodling and occasionally peeked at Rebekah, who leaned back in her seat, humming low under her breath. The bell shocked Bonnie out of her spell. No one wasted time and rushed off to their next class. Rebekah stuck around, though, dragging the strap of her handbag over her shoulder.
“Unclench your jaw,” Rebekah said, tapping the side of Bonnie’s face. “Your car is a white prius, right?”
“Uh—yeah?”
“We’re leaving after gym class. You’re driving.”
With that, Rebekah left the classroom, not giving Bonnie a chance to argue. Bonnie didn’t have time to process because Stefan came over with an apologetic smile.
“Hey, Bon,” Stefan said, patting her shoulder awkwardly. “Sorry for throwing you to the wolves. I figured staying by Elena’s side was my best option today. Speaking of, uh, Elena’s emotions are heightened right now. She’s clinging onto anger, anger that’s honed in on–”
“Rebekah,” Bonnie finished for him.
“Exactly. You have gym together and I was hoping you’d keep an eye on them. You know, give them a little headache if things get out of hand.”
Gram’s pained face flashed in Bonnie’s mind. “The last time I did magic, my Grams, she . . . I got out of control.”
“I understand, but—”
“She got hurt.”
“Elena might get hurt—”
“You don’t understand,” Bonnie cut him off. “The spirits hurt Grams to punish me. I can’t let that happen again. So, no, Stefan. I can’t risk it.”
“Is there a problem here?” Ms. Hawthorne asked from across the room.
Stefan shook his head, headed for the exit, and said, “No. No problem.”
Bonnie packed up the rest of her stuff and came across the doodle she drew. She inhaled. Grams. A distorted version of Grams who pried apart two halves of a shadowy curtain. Black veins traveled all the way from her neck to the tips of her fingers. And her eyes. Her eyes were like shattered mirrors reflecting the pain of a thousand cuts. The dim glow from Grams’ eyes flickered a beacon in the darkness that was a silent cry for help, a plea for Bonnie to end her suffering. The violent imagery grounded Bonnie for a solid ten seconds before the familiar sights and sounds of the busy hallways distorted. An almost familiar warped lens settled in front of her eyes again.

The next parts of my theory.
Elena had a major impact on Elijah due to her unknowingly being the reason why he didn’t give Klaus and Rebekah what they wanted for the first time ever, the hybrid wanted a doppelgänger to break his curse and the latter wanted revenge for Elena’s actions towards her, Elijah broke his word for the first time since he wasn’t around to protect her even though he used his family’s sacred vow on Elena which is also something he’s never done before.
Elijah’s scared of how intense his feelings are for Elena since acknowledging them means admitting them which would lead to any and all enemies of his and his family, not to mention Katherine’s enemies since almost everyone even her best friends confused the two except Elijah who would know instantly since he’s known Katherine for 500 years before he knew Elena, using her against him. That’s why he kept her at a distance, so she’d be safe. He’d rather her be happy with someone else who wasn’t him than her being chased down forever. Him using his family’s sacred vow in the letter he wrote her is the biggest clue of his feelings while also using that as an excuse to be around her more without anyone asking questions since his word and his family’s sacred vow are the two things he tries not to break.
His love for Elena would mean the possibility of him losing her and that’s something he can't afford to do, but they can't stay away from each other for long. He knew it was Elena and not Katherine which is why he took the opportunity when it was there for you to take. Not to mention the fact that they are drawn to each other like magnets, but tries to stay away because he likes to be in control and him being afraid of his own feelings for her is new territory for him after losing two previous love interests since Tatia and Celeste both died. He never let anyone know his family history and yet, he told her when he’s known her for months at the time. He doesn’t want to lose her which is why he’s distancing himself from her when that is the worst thing he could do. Elena is the doppelganger and people have already come after her. She's safer with him than she is with Stefan and Damon.
Elena's just as in love with him as he is with her because she always goes to him for safety, she kept the letter until she turned off her emotions unless she secretly still has it and just said that to see what his reaction would be, she knew he’d save her, she kept trusting him with her family and she wanted to tell him Esther's plan, but couldn't because Esther and Finn were standing within ear shot and the former probably would have k1lled her if she did tell him.
After Elena leaves, Elijah has a flashback about Katherine who says, “true love isn’t real unless it’s returned” before she asks him if he agrees. He says that he doesn’t believe in love-I think it’s possibly because of Tatia and her death-before Katherine asks him that if people cease to believe in love then why would they want to live?!?! I also noticed he says that caring for another doppelgänger is a common mistake he’s told and that he won’t make it again-which I believe is a lie from the look on his face-AFTER he has the flashback of himself and Katherine that I previously mentioned-shortly after Elena comes back and DURING that scene he has another flashback of Klaus telling him that love is a weakness!!!!!!!! I like to think that when he had the flashback of himself and Katherine is when he realized that he’s in love with Elena. The flashback of him and Klaus about how love is a weakness tells me that Elijah decided to push his feelings for Elena away and ignore them, partially because of Klaus.
I believe he fell in love with her when they were in the car, he wonders if and hopes she feels the same way when he remembers what Katherine said about true love not being real unless it’s returned before he just says fuck it due to Klaus saying love is a weakness.
She probably fell in love with him since the day they met, but didn’t realize it until she got his letter.

Do you think Stefan turned his humanity back on in 3x12 when Elena told him about 3x10 kiss?
Based on his reaction, and her reaction to his, this moment says so much. Considering this was the moment she was telling Stefan that she was moving on with Damon and this was her closure, the whole I'm not sorry it happened just sorry you don't know line. CLOSURE. Until of course he created the wedge in 3x14. I just realized (in 3x14) that Delena were fighting over process, new relationship and all BUT Damon was actually in the wrong (sleeping with someone else). Stefan however, as master manipulator should receive an award. I don't blame Damon for Rebekah, he prefers vampires at this moment in his timeline. He's not interested in possibly non consensual, compelled relationships because he's changing. And Rebekah is super hot.
Just seems as if in that 3x12 moment, Stefan was remembering, like you mentioned in a recent post that he would remember the things he saw when he didn't care. And also very much bringing into focus your narrative of Elena as a toy to Stefan. He picks her up and puts her down as much as he possibly can.
He tells Damon that he hasn't had human blood since the Stelena Wickery Bridge event, alluding that he turned it on then. Blatant lie because he is still so cold and threatening to Elena UNTIL he finds out about Delena kiss. His humanity reared it's ugly head when he realizes Elena was moving on.
I could write an entire post on Delena's 3x10 kiss.
No. Stefan already had his humanity when she confessed to him, he just didn't let it all back in. His humanity flickered in 3x8 when Mikael took Damon's heart in his hand, then Katherine got him to flip it in 3x9 for the sake of saving Damon. It was Katherine and Damon that flipped Stefan's switch... much like Damon and Matt flip Elena's. Stefan's response to Elena's confession in 3x12 is more about choice and consequence. He wanted Damon and Elena together, and did everything he could for the sake of that happening. Now that he's home... now that he has his humanity and he's fighting against Klaus, he has serious pain and regret for his own choice. He knows he's as much to blame for Delena's kiss as they are. Stefan is upset because he got exactly what he wanted. Now he doesn't want it. As I often say, he treated Elena like a toy before he treated her like a broken toy.

Stefan snorts. "The disdainful act would be more convincing if you haven't slept with all three of us already."
I thought he didn’t remember his relationship with Elena so how did he know he slept with Elena?
well, there are two ways to look at this:
The Watsonian perspective: the theories that can be explained in text:
a) Stefan is referring to their hookup at the warehouse concert when he includes himself. He doesn't mean they literally fucked, he means she was about to fuck him (she was-- Stefan already had his hands in her underwear when they were interrupted and she was eager for him), and he's being knowingly imprecise in order to make a cutting remark that still rings true. Interestingly, Elena does not challenge him on this-- because she knows he's being literally true and is forgetting in the moment or because she understands what he says may as well be true from his perspective
b) some of his true memories are bleeding through here since he's riled up-- maybe Rebekah did a lousy job of compelling him. maybe it's just a situation where his unconscious mind can summon those memories but he can't consciously integrate them or understand them.
The Doylist perspective: the theories that can be explained from my authorial perspective-- keep in mind that I wrote this like 3.5 years ago, which was another planet where I wasn't even pregnant yet and I just sort of whiled away my long hours of solitude happily writing fic-- I can't really remember what I was thinking, I can only guess:
a) maybe I knew it was not really true (the watsonian option a) but I thought the line was interesting so I decided to leave it there anyway to stir the pot
b) it's a screw up. I'm a flawed human writing this extremely unwieldy fic with no beta or anyone to proof read or fact check me, so I just forgot and put that in there
c) I've changed my mind over the past few years about what Stefan remembers exactly and have forgotten that I ever changed my mind. There have been a lot of asks about Stefan on this blog, and I have pretty much answered that he doesn't remember that he and Elena were lovers. But maybe in my original framework from a few years ago, he knows they slept together but doesn't remember being IN LOVE. and maybe I forgot that was my original angle. That's plausible. I had pretty severe memory fog during my pregnancy and the first year postpartum, which I why I basically didn't update. Couldn't keep anything straight. The text could support that reading, even now, though, which is an interesting one, I think.
What is my personal interpretation though?
I think it's an interesting incongruence that I decided to wrote, maybe realized it didn't make sense, and then left it in because it was too interesting not to. I seem to have a vague memory of wringing my hands over this line and deciding I liked the interplay.
All this being said, I say a lot of things on this blog, but there is so much room for change as my thoughts on this story and my reading of it evolves. I am sure I have contradicted myself before, and will do so again many times over before this fic is finished. It's a work in progress, and part of that means that "what things mean" evolve over time too. I try to give myself as much wiggle room as possible because there are myriad things where I have changed the plot or changed what a character meant by an earlier line way later and was able to get away with it.
Finally though... what it means is ultimately up to you. I love answering questions about this fic, and talking about it in general, but hopefully the text can support numerous interpretations. Choose the one that feels most fun to you-- and if there's another option you've thought of, that I didn't mention here-- hey, maybe that's the one! Your reading is your reading. 🖤

Chapter 5: Just A Little Game
Pia thanked Kol sarcastically as he opened the door to The Grill and motioned for her to step through.
“Of course, my lady.” He snickered behind her.
Pia froze immediately after entering the establishment. Her heightened senses were instantly assaulted on all fronts; cheap lighting made her scrunch her eyes, the smell of onions cooking in the kitchen made her grimace, the noise of the 23 customers grated on her nerves, the feeling of a slightly sticky floor from a spilt drink under her expensive red bottomed shoes caused her to sigh in disgust, the taste of the cheap beer being served turned her stomach… but most of all?
The sound of the little doppelganger made her blood boil.
She quickly had to remind herself that it wasnt her, but one glance over to the booth that the teenager occupied with her friends made her want to vamp over there and rip out her pretty eyes. Those pretty eyes that had haunted her for centuries. Those pretty eyes that had fooled her brothers on multiple occasions. Those pretty eyes that had caused so much heartbreak.
Kol, who noticed how tense his sister suddenly was, wrapped his arm around her waist and squeezed lightly. He eyed up the table that had caught her attention as he spoke. “We can leave, if you aren’t ready.”
“No.” Pia painted on a smile and sauntered over to the table, inwardly laughing at the dark-haired vampire that stood protectively in front of the brunette girl. She bit her lip and looked him up and down. “Hello.” She said calmly and extended her hand in greeting as he clenched his fists.
“Let me guess, you’re the rejected sister?”
“Oh, ouch. That almost hurt my feelings… let me guess, you’re the weak-willed vampire that decided he’d go for the human since Katerina wasn’t interested any longer?”
“Let’s just g-”
“Ah, Caroline. Of course, you’re here.” The young vampire paused as Pia addressed her. She didn’t want any trouble, she just wanted to get Elena out of here. “You do get around, don’t you?” Pia teased with a wicked grin.
"I'm surprised that your lover-brother has let you out." Pia let out a laugh as Damon's sarcastic tone made bubbles of excitement rise in her stomach. She could already tell that he would be fun to play with. He acted like he was invincible, but he had proven on numerous occasions that his heart was delicate and easily wounded – from what Rebekah had told her. Kol, sensing that his sister’s playful nature had just been triggered, walked over to the nearest humans and began compelling them to leave. They didn’t need an audience for this.
"Why did you come here? Surely you can see that you're outnumbered." Stefan's even tone interrupted her thoughts and she cocked her head to the side and observed him. He was quite attractive, but something told Pia that he was already back under the influence of his group of friends.
"Already back on the bunny hunts, Stefan? That is disappointing. With everything Nik told me, I was expecting someone with a bit more oomph!" She walked closer to him and put her hand on his chest; his heart pounded beneath his skin and revealed his current stress-filled state. He was hanging on to humanity by his fingernails. He just needed a push in the right direction. "You know, I've never really turned it off. There’s just another part of me that starts to scratch inside my skull after a while… I think you’ve heard of her. I cannot imagine what it must have been like as Nik took away all of your control… perhaps you can become my little friend and show me how dastardly cruel you can be?"
It was the clenching of Stefan's fists that made Damon vamp forward, grab Pia by the throat and throw her across the bar. Pia's laughter rang out from the heap of wood that had once been a table until her body had crashed into it. She pulled shards of wood from her hair and sat up with a grin as a deep laceration in her forehead was already knitting itself together.
"That was great!" She applauded the oldest Salvatore making him frown. Why wasn't she attacking him yet? "Oh, Damon, you do not disappoint. Perhaps it would be better if Nik had his best friend back and then you can become my pet? I think we could have a lot of fun together.” With that her smile dropped and she raced forward to stand in front of the two siblings; Kol appeared by her side seconds later with a dark glare.
"You truly are stupid, aren't you? You think that you are important enough to place your hands upon my sister, Damon? Do you wish for me to kill you slowly?" By this point Elena had been ushered out of the grill by Caroline and Bonnie, Pia did not miss this and sent the doppelganger a look over her shoulder.
Pia glanced back up at Damon in wonder and bit her lip whilst swaying from side to side like a cat about to jump on a mouse. We really could have some fun, darling. As though she agreed with her own thought, Pia nodded and pounced on the dark-haired brother. Kol immediately grabbed Stefan's shoulder and threw him into the bar; bottles and glasses rained down on top of him as Kol leisurely strolled over to where he was.
Pia aimed a hard punch to the side of Damon's head which was returned shortly after. The hybrid quickly got to her feet as did Damon; a growl left her lips before she dove at him again. Her legs clenched around his waist and she locked his head under her arm. Damon tried to shake off the small female but found it impossible to get her to let go as she squeezed her knees into his ribcage. Pia tightened her grip and smashed her fist into his back a few times with a smile. This was fun!
"Agh!" Kol and Stefan exchanged punches before Kol picked up some of the broken glass and threw it at his opponent's face. Stefan fell backwards against the bar and struggled to clear his vision. Kol gave him no chance to recover and sent a powerful fist to the side of his head; as Stefan hit the floor, a second hit made him gasp as Kol kicked him so hard that he slid a few feet away from him.
“I expected mor-” Stefan cut off the Original’s taunt and dived forward, spearing Kol into one of the tables. Both men panted and scrambled up off the floor whilst holding their sides as their ribs healed themselves.
"Come on!" Stefan met Kol halfway and blocked the blow that would have knocked him back down. "Is that all you've got?" Stefan taunted as he broke the hand that Kol seemed to favour when fighting; he followed up his attack with a rough uppercut and this time the older vampire was the one that was sent back into the bar and onto the broken glass.
Pia's body crashed into another table, breaking it into pieces as Damon stumbled backwards away from her. She was breathless for a few seconds as pain shot up her spine like a red hot poker. Now, she was annoyed. "You can do better than that." She hissed before quickly standing up and landing a hard kick to the man's abdomen. His body was propelled backwards and he let out a yell of pain as he met the hard ground and skidded back into a wall. Pia gave him no time to recuperate, pulled him back up to his feet and threw him in the opposite direction. Damon groaned in pain as he hit the floor and landed precariously close to a broken table leg that threatened to pierce straight into his side. He heard the click of heels approach him and quickly tucked the makeshift weapon under him for future use. The hybrid appeared in an instant and straddled his waist. "I thought you'd do better." She smiled as her amber eyes broke through the blue and her fangs dropped. Tauntingly she pressed her lips to Damon's throat and laughed to herself as he swallowed hard; his hands came up beside his head as he made no move to touch her and begrudgingly surrendered. This was far too close for comfort.
"Okay, let's talk about this…" Damon's voice had lost its confidence as he mentally relived the last time he had felt werewolf venom run through his veins. He did not want to repeat that experience if he could help it.
"Talk? Okay, then." Pia did not remove herself from his neck and instead licked some blood that dripped down his jawline. She giggled to herself as his stubble tickled her tongue. "Why Elena? Don't you think it's weird after all of the Katerina business?"
"Elena is not like Katherine." Pia hummed and sat up so she could look down into his blue eyes.
"Hmm, let's see about that. She's got in-between two brothers? Check! She's already had them both in her bed? Check! She thinks the world revolves around her and her problems? Check! People have died trying to protect her? Check! She sounds pretty damn similar to me."
"Elena is not like Katherine." Damon repeated, although his voice had lost some of its conviction. He wasn't blind; he could see the similarities just as much as he could see the differences. "There's one thing that is drastically different: Elena doesn't enjoy breaking hearts and causing misery."
"Neither did Kit for a time." Pia couldn't even believe that she was defending the bitch, but somehow she felt like she had to. Other than Elijah and herself, no one else would ever remember the innocence that Katerina had once possessed. "It's my mother's fault, you know? She destroyed our humanity, and because of Nik's need to break his curse; we in turn destroyed Katerina's. It's a vicious cycle and I have no doubt that we will somehow be the cause of your precious Elena's humanity crumbling as well."
"I won't let that happen." Damon took her moment of distraction to plunge the shard of wood into her side. Pia cried out in pain and stumbled away from the younger vampire as her hands grasped at the stake lodged into her ribcage. "I won't let you win." He jolted to his feet as the hybrid let out a vicious laugh, pulling out the stake as blood gushed down her dress.
"Oh, really?" Before Damon could blink Pia kicked his legs out from underneath him and sat on his waist yet again. She grabbed his right hand, the one that had grabbed the table leg, and bent it back until a satisfying crunch echoed around the room and it dangled at an awkward angle completely dislocated. "I was trying to be civil."
“Enough!” Elijah’s voice rang out through the destroyed bar causing Pia to huff petulantly. Nik appeared beside her with a frown; he outstretched his hand and motioned for her to take it. Unfortunately, Pia wasn’t in the mood to obey, and so with the elegance of a feline, Pia rose to stand by herself. She sent a wink to the Salvatore at her feet and walked towards her elder brother. Her innocent smile made Elijah's blood boil so much so that he pinned her to a table by her throat in a blink of an eye. "Leave, Damon." His cool stare bore into Pia who squirmed underneath her brother's tight grip.
Klaus, unable to believe how his sister had snuck out from under his nose, turned his attention to Kol who had let go of Stefan and thrown him in the direction of the exit. "How dare you! You know that she was not allowed out of the house yet!" Klaus shouted at Kol who smirked from where he was perched on the dishevelled bar; the younger sibling took a sip of bourbon from one of the few intact bottles and shrugged his shoulders. "She could have been hurt!"
"Oh, please, Nik! We both know that Pia is more than capable of looking after herself… besides, Damon threw the first punch at our beloved sister."
"He did what?!"
"Now, is not the time, Niklaus." Elijah interrupted the conflict and made his way over to his brothers; his hand was still around Pia's throat as he kept her pressed back against his chest. "You should not have allowed our sister to lose control, Kol."
"She hasn't lost control, she was merely letting off steam. Don't be such a killjoy, Elijah. No was going to die. It was a game. We were making sure that Team Doppelganger knew exactly who they were up against. They need to be kept on their toes. This is the only way we’d make sure they knew we were serious."
"And, you…" Elijah turned Pia to face him, his hands harshly gripping the tops of her arms. "…was this just a game to you also?"
"Well, I may have wanted to nip Damon to see what he was made of, but he looks like far too much fun to kill. I wouldn't have let him suffer for very long."
'I wouldn't have let him suffer for very long.' Elijah swallowed and stared down at his sister in disbelief. Was that supposed to make him feel better? "Do you apologise for causing such a mess?"
“Kol compelled all the humans and we can replace all of this. I need to be allowed to breathe, Elijah. I didn't slaughter an entire village!"
"Don't you see how much danger you put yourself in?"
"Oh, why don't you just dagger me and get it over with? That is what our family does best, right?" Her uncaring tone and look of defiance in her eyes proved to be the last straw. A loud crack echoed around the grill as her neck was broken and Pia's body fell. Elijah caught her in his arms before she could hit the ground.
"Rebekah, help Kol to clean up this mess. Myself and Niklaus will take care of Pia." Elijah gave his youngest brother a disappointed look before disappearing from the grill with Klaus in tow.
"Why on earth did you allow for this to happen? Everything was just getting back to normal." Rebekah frowned and huffed as she began to clear away one of the tables.
"Pia was climbing the walls at that mansion. She needed her freedom."
"Had you only asked then we would have come out together. She needs stability.”
"So, you're taking Elijah's side?"
"Elijah knew that the distraction of getting her relationship back on track with Nik was blocking any thoughts of leaving the mansion and confronting Elena and her merry band. She needs us to help control the outside world so that she can ease herself back into normal life; she may hate being under house arrest but you know that it is for the best. There are far too many dangers out here for Pia to just be let loose."
"You never took such precautions with me."
"We did not let you just run outside though, did we? Kol, we can’t just let this happen. It will be like decades ago when Mikael was tracking us and you were causing havoc. It risks exposing us to him. We all know that he will go after Pia in order to break Nik. We need to be smart.”
Kol looked at his feet for a second before helping Rebekah move a large chunk of wood.
"Shut up." Rebekah smiled slightly. That was as close to Kol saying sorry as she was going to get.
-----
Pia groaned and rubbed the back of her neck as she woke up. She moved her head from side to side and let out a deep breath as the soothing crack evened out the awkward pain that had been shooting through her bones.
"How do you feel?" Elijah's voice echoed from beside her. She was in her room, lying on the bed with Klaus perched next to her and Elijah in a chair to her right. She glanced down, in an effort to avoid Elijah’s stare, and noted that she was now dressed in her silk pyjamas and the blood had been cleaned from her skin.
“I just couldn’t resist. The pull I felt when looking into Damon’s eyes became too much. I just wanted to…”
“You wanted to what?” Klaus asked despite being nervous of the answer.
"I just- I needed- no, I wanted to feel free again. I have been daggered for centuries and then when I wake up, you keep me under lock and key. I'm only allowed to go out to exercise my wolf but as soon as I am back in my body again, my need to be free as a vampire is still there. So, yes, maybe I made a mistake in going out with Kol, but he gave me a chance to not feel detained so I grabbed it! Can you blame me for wanting to go outside again? I wanted to feel the breeze on my cheeks and the sun caressing my hair. It's not enough to just be let out into the gardens no matter how many beautiful flowers you put around the gazebo."
"Yes, but we have so many enemies here; Elena and her friends would do anything to destroy us, Mikael is still out there somewhere and then… then there is the beast that our mother created to kill us. We can see and keep watch on Elena, but how are we supposed to know when Mikael or Alaric will suddenly appear? What if you were out there on your own and none of us knew where you were? We could lose you within seconds and not even know about it."
"Do you want me to lose you so soon after getting you back?" Klaus was so close that his lips touched her ear as he spoke; his arms encircled her so that she could not wriggle away.
"No, I know…" Pia was exhausted as she felt the pure emotion that was pouring out of her brothers' pores and soaking into her skin.
"I'm sorry for breaking your neck." Elijah murmured as silence fell over the room.
"I'm sorry for not thinking." Pia muttered with a shy smile that her brother returned.
"Let's forget about what happened today."
"Agreed." Pia whispered as she felt Klaus cuddle her even tighter. She just wanted to sleep now. A yawn left her lips before she could stop it.
"I will leave you both." Elijah kept his voice quiet as his brother seemed transfixed with how close Pia was letting him be with her. It had been a long while since he had seen such a happy, untainted smile grace his face. As long as Pia remained true to her word, then he would let this one incident go.
-----
“Come on. This is the perfect opportunity! We take out the newest sibling and go from there.” The eldest Salvatore seemed certain that they could take down the Originals once and for all, but as always, his little brother was there to stop his fun.
“Damon, it’s not that simple. We did not see what happened when we left!”
“Elijah burst a blood vessel, that’s what happened.” His sarcastic tone rang out as he argued with his brother.
“Look, we’ve fought before and somehow managed to make it back to being on the same page. Who is to say that they can’t? It’s not the first time that they’ve seemingly broken apart in front of us!”
“This is different. You saw the look on Elijah’s face.”
“Yeah, I recognised that expression for the amount of times I’ve aimed it at you!” Stefan clenched his hands into fists and took a deep breath before releasing them. Damon could be so frustrating when he wanted to be. “Let’s just wait until Bonnie figures something out, alright? Lashing out now because they’ve had an argument will only put everyone in danger. For all we know, they could have reunited as soon as they got home.”
“Or they could have pushed each other further away…” Damon drawled as he left the kitchen with a lazy smile on his face.
“Don’t do anything!” Stefan’s voice rang out full of frustration making his brother laugh.
Siblings… who needs them?
-----
Pia had been fretting all night. She had spent a few hours resting with Klaus, but ever since she had awoken she had been anxious. Her brother sat on her bed watching as she paced around her bedroom; her fingers fiddled with the ends of her hair and she bit at her lip.
“Pia--”
“I know that you are disappointed, but I can’t say that I did not enjoy myself earlier. I-I understand that you think keeping me here is for the best… but I cannot stay within these walls until you deem it safe for me to be let out. My urges shall only get stronger and it will be harder for me to fight them.”
"I understand. I’ve trapped you and I shouldn’t have. You’ve always been a free spirit.” He caught Pia’s hand and pulled her to stand between his legs. “I’ve also met Damon on multiple unfortunate occasions and I understand just how frustrating he can be.” His dimpled grin made Pia let out a soft laugh.
"Why are you so calm?"
"Because you are my mate and I have failed you far too many times. My wolf is beside himself to see you so upset when you need not be. It's not the first time that they have witnessed us fight each other… and we shouldn't have kept you locked away here... I should have known that Kol would do something to set you free." Immediately her gaze locked onto Klaus, pinning him in place as he became enraptured by her amber eyes.
"Don't blame Kol. I was just as much at fault." She hissed at him before willing away her hybrid features.
There were a few moments of silence in which they both just looked at each other. Klaus wanted nothing more than to wrap her in his arms, but judging by how tense her body was, that was the last thing she needed. So, instead, he kept the conversation flowing and asked a question that had been burning within him for a while. "If you had wanted to go out, why did you not ask me?" His voice was quiet making Pia’s shoulders slump forward. It was one of the rare times that he sounded vulnerable and worried about the reply she would give.
"I- I wanted to be free for a little while. I would not have been free with you because you would have been looking over your shoulder at every moment to see if someone was coming too close to me. Kol was the simpler choice out of all of you.” Nik exhaled as he listened to her words.
“I always thought that I would be your first choice for everything.”
“There was a time when that was true, but much has happened since then.” Klaus nodded solemnly.
“I shall make it up to you. I swear it.” Pia smiled softly and cupped his cheek with her hand.
“One day at a time. Niko. Let us take it one day at a time.”
Pia left her brother in her room, allowing him to have a moment to gather his thoughts, and made the journey to the living room where she had heard whispering. Kol and Rebekah were both sat on the same couch and speaking quietly. All talking stopped as she entered the area.
"Well, if it isn't troublemaker number 2."
"Number 2? You know that I am number 1, Rebekah." Pia dropped onto the sofa opposite them. "What happened today must never be repeated."
"Ugh, don't tell me that the fun police got to you?" Kol, as always, seemed annoyed by his older brothers’ attempts to make them all behave.
"Kol, I shouldn't have done that today. We shouldn't have done that."
"Why not? It's not like you didn't enjoy it."
"I did enjoy it, but that isn't the point. Just because we can do something, doesn't mean that we should."
"Honestly, I am looking at you Elijah, but you look an awful lot like Pia these days." Kol joked as he saw the familiar scowl cross her face; Rebekah hid her laughter behind her hand as Pia raised a brow at her younger brother. They all knew how serious it was, but somehow, Kol always wanted to find the funny side.
"This isn't a laughing matter." Pia smoothed down her skirt and looked at her brother seriously. "We have so many enemies beyond these walls that losing control like that is not an option anymore."
Klaus and Elijah silently approached their siblings. Klaus sat next to Pia and gripped her hand; he gave a single squeeze which she returned just as tightly. Elijah sat on another chair to the left.
"We had made so much progress over the last few weeks. Let us get back to that.” Elijah spoke up as he watched his youngest brother carefully. He was fidgeting which meant he was either ready to get up and run or begrudgingly agree with them all.
“I do not believe it will last.” Kol argued with a frown.
“If it doesn’t, then at least we tried.” Pia sent him a smile that made him groan. “We said ‘always and forever’ so let’s show everyone that we actually mean it.” Rebekah nudged him as he huffed and nodded to them all.
Pia looked to Klaus and saw him staring back at her. He slowly moved forward and pressed a single kiss to her forehead before leaning back. She sat still for a moment as he waited for her reaction. Pia let out a deep breath and moved her head to his shoulder; nuzzling herself against his warm skin.
Let’s try again. No one ever got it right immediately.

traitor
↳ you were stefan's significant other, but lately, he has been distant.
stefan salvatore x reader
warnings: small angst
part count: 1/?
you had been dating stefan salvatore for a year now. he made you very happy. he was kind, affectionate, honest and caring. he was everything you looked for. the man of your dreams embodied on a man. you had started dating the salvatore after his break up with elena. they had dated for a long while, you had always been in love with stefan, but for the sake of his and elena’s happiness, you compressed those feelings.
but, their relationship didn’t work out. and stefan found himself falling in love with you. you two were a match made in heaven. you complimented each other so well. you loved him deeply. jealousy had never been a problem with stefan, as he kept your feelings into consideration, and never gave a you a reason to doubt him. but, lately, that hasn’t been the case. stefan has been strangely distant, he doesn’t talk or look at you the same way. you wondered if he had fallen out of love, or if he was going through something and didn’t let you know.
“i’ll go with elena, then. damon, you can stay with y/n.” stefan said, gaining your attention. you almost frowned at his words. he had been spending more time with elena lately. that wasn’t a problem, of course. elena was in constant danger. and you were a vampire, you could protect yourself, compared to elena. but you haven’t spent time with your boyfriend in so long. you couldn’t even remember the last time you kissed him.
“oh, he won’t hurt her. he needs her alive.” damon said, pouring himself another glass. you nodded your head along. stefan crossed his arms in front of his chest.
“you know we can’t trust klaus, damon.” stefan said, damon nodding in agreement. they were heading towards the mikaelson mansion, to a dinner elijah had invited them to. in hopes of making a deal. stefan had one of their caskets, since it supposedly contained the weapon to killing klaus. so the mikaelsons wanted it back as soon as possible.
you actually didn’t think the mikaelsons were as bad as people made them out to be. you and rebekah were good friends, before elena daggered her. you thought they weren’t as terrible. yes, they did horrible things, but so did all of you. what made them different? maybe you thought this way since klaus fancied you. he has had interest in you ever since he first saw you. you liked the attention he gave you, how nice to was to you. but you were spoken for. your heart already belong to someone.
“alright, then. be careful, please.” you said walking closer to them. you locked eyes with stefan. “and if the deal is good, please think about it. maybe all of this isn’t worth it.” you said, looking at elena as well. you saw stefan shaking his head, disagreeing with you. you sighed.
“i love you, take care.” you said gently, leaning over to plant a sweet kiss on his cheek. he looked at you, and gave you a small grin; before leaving the house with elena.
“mhm.. trouble in paradise?” damon asked, teasingly. he relaxed in his seat, while you sat across from him. you laughed a bit at his tease, before shrugging your shoulders. you didn’t even know what was going on.
“it seems like it, doesn’t it? i don’t know. he just feels so.. far.” you said, tilting your head, trying to find the right words. damon nodded, furrowing his eyebrows.
“and looks like it too, let me tell you.” he said, making your heart break slowly. so you weren’t crazy. others can also notice it. something was going on. you nodded sadly. damon soon noticed your state and shook his head.
“okay, let’s not be sad. why don’t we just eat and have a few drinks?” he asked, trying his hardest to cheer you up. you smiled up at him and nodded. damon and yourself were very close to one another, you would even call him your best friend. you were extremely thankful for him. he smiled and stood up, extending his arm to ask for your hand. you took his hand, and you both headed towards the kitchen.
============
“so you didn’t take the deal?” damon asked, annoyed at his brother. you sighed, sitting down, looking at the brothers argue. elena stood right next to stefan. they had just gotten back. you and damon had a great night, you ate delicious food, talked and laughed. and now, you were watching the brothers argue.
“they were playing with us, alright?” stefan replied, annoyed. damon shook his head, walking even closer to stefan. you stared at them, scared they’d start punching each other sometime soon.
“that’s bullshit, stefan. tell me the real reason why you didn’t take the damn deal.” damon said, his jaw tightening. stefan looked furiously at damon. you stood up, just in case a fight broke out between them.
“because he wanted elena to marry a human, so she could continue the bloodline and he could make more hybrids in the future.” he said, your eyes immediately going to him. damon looked at him, confused.
“that sounds pretty good, if you ask me!” damon said, taking a few steps back, annoyed. “isn’t that what you wanted? for elena to live a long, peaceful, human life?” damon asked, grabbing his glass and finishing his drink. you just kept your eyes on your boyfriend, wondering the same thing. the deal was a good one. elena would get to live her life, find love, have children, all she ever wanted. you couldn’t understand.
“or is it because you want her to have that life, but with you instead, brother?” damon said, as he glared at stefan, still angry. your heart ached. that was probably the reason. you looked down at your feet and let out a breathless laugh. stefan scoffed.
“you know that’s not it, damon. stop it, alright?” elena started, a bit annoyed herself. you grabbed a glass and poured yourself a glass of bourbon, soon after, drinking it full, as you stared at elena and stefan.
“i’d have to forget all of you, and i don’t want that. i don’t want to have to forget you to be.. happy.” she finished, and damon sighed. you nodded. you could understand her. you knew how stubborn elena was. you knew she would never accept a deal like that if it mean she’d have to forget everything that has happened.
“then, what are you going to do now? with the stupid casket?” damon asked, finally relaxing and calming down his anger. you stayed quiet. stefan shrugged his shoulders.
“i talked to bonnie. she’s gonna try to open it.” he said, damon humming in response. you had so much in your mind. overthinking so many things. you felt a headache begin.
“i’ll just head to bed. today was a long day.” you said, grinning a bit a damon, earning one back. you nodded and walked past stefan. he looked at you, worried about you. he was worried of what you could’ve understood from what just happened.
you walked into your room, and took a shower before heading to bed. you were hoping stefan would come after you, to talk things out, to explain himself. you just thought he’d want to clear the air. but he didn’t. you waited and he never came knocking on your bedroom door. you almost laughed at yourself. you turned off the lap right next to your bed and fell asleep.
===========
it was the next morning. you slept well, as if you really needed the rest. maybe you did. after getting ready for the day, you headed downstairs. where you found stefan and damon. stefan seemed to be on the phone with someone. you looked at damon confused. damon mouthed the word ‘klaus’ to you.
“i’ll never tell you where it is, klaus.” stefan said, looking at you, smiling a bit at you. you did the same. you stood by the door frame, using your hearing to listen into the conversation.
“oh, you might want to.” you heard klaus say, being as cocky as always. you almost smiled, his cockiness and confidence was something you liked a lot about klaus.
“you see… you might not want the lovely y/n to know what has been going on between elena and yourself, now, do you?” you heard klaus said, your smile immediately going away. your heart was beating out of your chest. you looked at stefan, hurt and so confused. what could have klaus meant by that?
“you don’t know what you’re talking about.” stefan said, his eyes pleading with yours. there was no way stefan and elena would have something going on. he would never hurt you like that. he promised to never be the reason for your tears. you heard klaus chuckle.
“are you sure about that? i wonder what she would think if she knew you both have chosen to rekindle your relationship.” klaus said, tears started rolling down your cheeks as you stared at your boyfriend in disbelief. damon looked at you, full of pity and anger for his brother.
“return the casket, stefan.” klaus said, before hanging up the call. stefan slowly put the phone down, his eyes never leaving yours. his eyes started to water as he watched you, breaking right in front of him.
“what did he mean, stefan?” you said, clearing your throat and wiping away your tears. "he's lying, isn't he? you would never... you both would never do that to me, right?" he shook his head and tried walking closer to you. you shook your head, raising a hand up, signaling him to stop walking.
“he's lying, isn't he?” you raised your voice at him. he bit his lip, looking down at his feet, shaking his head once again. you gasped softly, looking over at damon, whose eyes were full of compassion for you, and confusion. “for how long?” you said gently. stefan kept his eyes on you, a few tears leaving his eyes.
“a few months.” he replied, knowing he had to be honest with you. you nodded, a few sobs finally leaving your mouth. you felt so pathetic. god, how could you be so stupid? stupid enough to think that he would actually love you more than her, that you’d mean more to him than her.
“but y/n.. i didn’t meant to hurt you.” he said, trying to get closer to you again, where damon held him back.
“a little too late for that, don’t you think?” damon said softly, holding him back. damon knew you best. and he knew you needed space. you tried wiping your tears once again, only for more to come out.
“why couldn’t you just be honest with me?” you cried, maintaining eye contact with stefan. he bit his lip, regretting his decisions. “how could you?” you asked him, your voice breaking midway. you were so shocked, and so humiliated. how could they do this to you?
“y/n..” stefan tried saying, but you interrupted him. you didn’t want to hear excuses, or meaningless words from him. you didn’t want to hear him apologize when you knew he wasn’t really sorry.
“don’t.” you said, turning your back on him. you wiped your tears once again, and walked towards your room, where you made a small bag. you couldn’t stay there. elena also lived with all of you, you couldn’t stay there and be around them. you weren’t strong enough. you laughed sadly as you thought of all the times stefan probably went to her room at night. and how he probably was with her last night while you waited for him.
you finished your bag and walked back downstairs. you grabbed your keys and your phone. the brothers looked at you. damon knew you couldn’t stay there anymore. he understood you. but stefan, he couldn’t let you leave. he knew he screwed things up. but he hated the thought of you being in possible danger.
“where are you going? don’t leave… please.” he said, following right behind you. you soon stopped walking and looked up at the man that broke your heart. you stared at his watery eyes, that stared at you full of pity and regret. he hated the fact that he hurt you like this. you knew he regretted it, but at the same time, he probably didn’t. he loved elena. it will always be elena. you were just a place holder for her. you weren’t enough. not for him.
you opened your mouth to say something, but you had nothing else to say. you turned back around and walked out of the salvatore mansion, feeling stefan’s eyes on you. you got in your car and drove away. you had tried to stop crying, but it was like waterfalls kept falling from your already swollen eyes. you drove for a long time. you don’t know how or why you got there, but you arrived at a house. you had nowhere to go, and only thought of this place. you soon walked up to the front door and knocked a few times. someone opened the door and glared at your weak state. their eyes widening as they noticed the tears on your cheeks.
“oh, love.” he said, opening the door wider, allowing you to come inside. you walked in, and wrapped your arms around him. he embraced you into his arms, his hand holding your head closer to his chest. you hugged back almost immediately, and cried against his soft chest. you needed to be held, you needed to let it all out.
you were completely heartbroken. you never would have thought stefan would do this to you. you knew you were not elena, but you thought you’d be enough. you thought you’d be the one, for once. stefan made you feel as if you were the only one, he treated you so amazingly that you couldn’t even imagine him being in love with anyone else but you. guess he was just an amazing liar.

Since my phone is being a complete birch and can't for some reason let me reblog with a commentary I'll say what I think here.
Where do I start? I devour this fic the moment I saw it was posted. Everything about it is better than what we had in season 5. You're a master in writing these characters, and i also believe you're a great writer in general.
Ah the relationship between Stefan and Katherine was so well constructed, i was at the edge of my seat wondering if my boy would finally just succumb to his desires. Like i have a hate-love relationship with them but like Stefan it's okay to want something for yourself even if it's destructive.
I love the way Stefan also ended both Damon and Elena, like damn my boy didn't have to burn them.
Also speaking of Elena, part of me was so irritated with her like you chose Damon!! You don't get to slut shame Stefan nor worry what he does in bed the other part was like yess go get your man girl.
Damon is Damon, every line he said i imagined him wiggling his eyebrows or opening his eyes that's how accurate you did the character.
And the Stefonnie crumbs were also beautiful.
Now to the sexy parts, dudeeee you're a magician. You're what the writer of 50 shades thinks she is. I LOVE IT, i felt like Elena i wanted Stefan thirsting over me like that.
Thank you for giving us this, Zal. Hopefully it let's me reblog so you can have more notes and maybe motivate you to write a part 2? Hehe
I laughed because you complained about your phone being a bitch and your phone was like, I think you mean I'm being a tree.
I'm glad you thought the relationship between Katherine and Stefan was well-constructed because I definitely wanted to show her getting into his head and basically just being relentless enough combined with his predisposed desire so that when they start playing games, it's because he's already succumbed and he's already battled inclinations that are coming like showing up at the bar or the thought of going on a date as payback.
I also wanted to feature Bonnie a bit more because I realize that sometimes Caroline takes the wheel in my fics and I was like playing with the idea of Bonnie bearing witness to all of this and also staying the hell out of it like uhhhhhhh because again, when Elena is having her internal freakout about Rebekah, it's Bonnie who's there and notices.
The sex scenes were definitely interesting to write especially because originally I wasn't going to put an SE one in there but I was like I think it would be a good contrast to SK and to Stefan's mindset with each woman/each scene. I was having this conversation about how there is definitely an intensity to Stefan but like a deeper intensity just beneath the surface and it comes out in different ways depending on who he's with so writing that with Elena vs Katherine was cool.

I love your post about Hayley and Cami and how they’re both unnecessary characters who serve no purpose but further Klaus useless redemption plot in TO. But since you’ve said that Hayley will be appearing in TBBW, albeit briefly, I want to know if she will have any feelings for Elijah. I don’t think she will have any feelings for Klaus or him for her. In canon they had no romantic chemistry and were only together one time while drunk. Plus Klaroline is OTP! But if she has feelings for Elijah and tries to seduce him, he somewhat reciprocates, things could get a hella of a lot interesting. Especially with her being a morally grey and untrustworthy character.
I also wonder who the other Orginal Siblings will fall in love with. Finn died in love with Sage and Klaroline are OTP, but I would love to see Elijah and Katherine getting together. I always shipped them WAY more than him with Hayley. Also l loved Marcel and Rebekah love story, so would love to see them reunited in NOLA at some point. As for Kol, I have mixed feelings about Davina from TO and kind like and hate her. But would love to see who you think he’ll end up with.
I doubt I'll pair Kol with anybody. Similarly, I wasn't too keen on the Marcel x Rebekah storyline. She's techincally his adoptive aunt, and the writers used the romance as a reason to pit both of them against Klaus---Marcel has enough of his own issues with Klaus without needing to add an unnecessary doomed romantic storyline to the mix. I just think it works better if he was a part of the family in his own right, rather than because Rebekah ended up having feelings for him.
In that same thread, Rebekah's not going to paired up resolutely, though there are going to be some Stefan x Rebekah moments later on. There's also moments of Elijah x Katherine in TBBW already, and I'll probably allude to it again later too. But again, it's not an end all ship, not set in stone, they're not soulmate yada yada etc. Yes, the siblings are going to see other people, have other flings, but the likelihood of them of finding their true loves all at the same time is next to zero.
Not everything needs to be a romance.

BITTERSWEET - CHAPTER 5
MASTERLIST
CHAPTER 5: | I WILL WAIT FOR HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES |
“I can’t believe we almost had a threesome with Damon." Lorena remarked as Rebekah and she were walking, "And that you didn’t tell me the whole plan.”
Rebekah chuckled, “I didn’t tell you because you would never say yes to that plan.”
“You tricked me. I could’ve said no when we were standing in front of him.” Lorena pointed out.
“At least everything turned out great, without either of us sleeping with him.” Rebekah stated.
“But I think deep down you actually wanted to sleep with him again.” Lorena said, smirking at her.
“I did not.” Rebekah was quick to protest.
Lorena raised her eyebrow at her, “I don’t believe you.”
“Well believe what you want.” Rebekah replied.
“Are you going to send my stuff over to my new house?” Lorena asked her.
Rebekah shrugged, “Or you can come tomorrow morning and take them.”
“But Klaus will be there.” Lorena told her.
“Why don’t you two just have a make up sex and get this over with?” Rebekah suggested.
Lorena gave her a look, “Bekah..”
“I know I’m right. You two should just get over yourselves and do it.” Rebekah spoke determinedly.
“So you want Klaus and me to get back together?” Lorena questioned.
“Well I never had anything against that..” Rebekah told her, “Or at least get everything out of your system with one night of mind blowing sex. It will do you both some good.”
“That’s not gonna happen.” Lorena assured her, “And you better send me my things.”
“I’m not going to.” Rebekah said firmly and turned towards her, “If you really don’t want to see him, Klaus and I will go to find Finn tomorrow morning and then you can come.”
Lorena gave her an annoyed look, “You could’ve said that right away.”
Rebekah only smirked.
・ • ・ • ・
When Rebekah sent Lorena a text that she and Klaus are not at home Lorena left to the Mikaelson mansion to get some of her stuff that she left there. Lorena walked up the stairs and in the study room she saw Sage and some girl reading a book, Lorena didn’t know who she was but she saw her around.
“Sage.” Lorena greeted her, “Waiting for Finn?”
“Yes. Rebekah and Klaus promised to bring him back here.” Sage told her, “You live here with them?”
“Not anymore, I just came for some of my stuff.” Lorena replied.
"Why not? I thought you and Rebekah were best friends or at least Damon told me that." Sage said.
"Well, it's not because of her. Klaus and I are not on good terms." Lorena replied.
Sage nodded in understanding, "I wonder why. Klaus is not the easiest person to be on good terms with."
"That's something we agree on." Lorena told her, then pointed at the girl who was sitting on another couch, "Who is she?"
"Just some witch, Klaus told me to keep an eye on her. She needs to unlink them." Sage explained.
"She better do what she's told, or else.." Lorena spoke.
"Klaus already threatened me, you don't have to." The witch spoke.
Lorena glanced at the witch, "It's called giving you motivation."
"Well, you definitely are part of the Mikaelsons." Sage remarked.
Lorena chuckled, "Yeah, I've learned from the best." she told her, "Anyway, I better get going before he comes back."
Lorena was half down the stairs in the foyer just as the front doors opened and Klaus threw Finn inside. She didn't dare to move a step closer to them.
"Let's get his blood and get on with it." Rebekah said following him into the mansion.
Finn lifted himself from the floor, "You can't force me to help you."
"Oh, I most likely could, but why force when I can persuade?" Klaus pointed his hand toward the staircase and as if on cue Sage came down, whilst Finn looked up.
"Hello Finn." Sage greeted, smiling warmly at her long lost love.
"Sage!" Finn recognized her immediately and rushed to embrace her.
"What do you know, true love prevails." Rebekah remarked and glanced at Lorena.
Klaus' eyes followed hers and landed on Lorena, but he quickly looked away as he got a message on his phone.
"It does occasionally have its uses. Easier than torturing him." Klaus responded to her remark while writing a message back.
"Lorena and I have something to do. What do you need from me for this spell?" Rebekah asked.
"Just your blood and your blessing." Klaus grinned, "Where are you two going?"
"I have some unfinished business with Damon Salvatore and Lorena is going to help me." Rebekah informed him and Lorena walked down before leaving with Rebekah.
・ • ・ • ・
When the two of them kidnapped Damon they returned to the mansion. Rebekah clamped bear traps around Damon's wrist and hanged him from the ceiling.
"Maybe you should have hanged him upside down to drain him from vervain." Lorena commented.
"No, I will torture him slowly." Rebekah said as she picked up a knife from the table, then walked around Damon, "You pretended to be interested in me. And then you almost slept with the two of us only so you could steal my thoughts. Ever since then I felt this incessant need to one-up you." She ripped open his shirt and cut Damon's chest with a knife. He groaned in pain.
"You want to compel me to be your boyfriend?" Damon asked.
Lorena laughed at how stupid he sounded, as Rebekah told him, "Actually, I'd rather compel you to kill your brother. Or Elena. But, since vampires heal, bleeding you may take a while. We should probably stick to the major arteries." She cut Damon's neck, he bled profusely.
Then Klaus entered a room, smiling delightfully, "Well.. look what you've caught. If you're trying to bleed him of vervain, don't you think it would be easier to hang him upside down?"
"That's what I said." Lorena said.
Rebekah glanced between both of them, "I'm perfectly capable of inflicting pain, thank you very much."
“Well, excuse me, it's not like I have any expertise in the matter." Klaus rolled his eyes sarcastically.
"You know, why don't you just leave us and go and manage your witch?" Rebekah shooed him away, Klaus grinned before leaving.
Rebekah turned back to Damon, but spoke to Lorena, "See I think he cooled off so it's safe for you to come here."
"Uh, trouble in paradise?" Damon asked looking up at Lorena, "What did you do?"
"None of her damn business." Lorena snapped at him.
Damon felt a knife dig into his skin and he tried not to scream. Rebekah repeatedly stabbed him.
"Let's go and get something to drink, I'm feeling thirsty." Rebekah said as she put the knife down.
"Are you sure you're feeling thirsty for a drink or for me." Damon remarked with a cocky smirk.
"Don't worry Damon, we'll be back in a couple of minutes to continue." Rebekah replied before the two of them left.
She poured them both a glass of whiskey before saying, "I'm going to play with his head a little bit."
"Yeah, show him how it is." Lorena encouraged her.
After some time Rebekah and Lorena walked back to the room where Damon was, he was asleep but he suddenly woke up when they walked in.
"Uh, you bitch." Damon winced.
"It's not fun when someone messes with your thoughts, is it?" Rebekah told him.
Actually, I was having a pretty good time in there." Damon replied.
"Mmm, well I hope you were nicer to Elena than you were to me." Rebekah hummed.
"Oh, come on, I couldn't have hurt you that bad. You didn't really think I had a thing for you, did you?" Damon said and Rebekah looked hurt, "I get it. If Klaus bossed me around for a thousand years, I'd probably be pretty desperate for attention too."
Lorena grabbed the knife from the table and flashed at Damon stabbing it right into his stomach in one quick movement and he screamed, "You don't get to talk to my best friend like that. Understood?" She twisted the knife and he screamed more.
・ • ・ • ・
Later, Rebekah and Lorena came out of the room as Klaus was escorting the witch out of the house, "Aw, leaving so soon?" Rebekah commented.
"Sister, be nice." Klaus warned.
"Thank you, Bonnie." Rebekah faked a smile, waving her fingers shyly, "See you in physics class."
"Oh my god." Bonnie gasped out as her eyes fell upon Damon in snares in the room that Lorena and Rebekah just walked off to.
"Yeah, you'll have to excuse the mess. Apparently Damon hurt her feelings. Go on, help him. Save the man who turned her mother into a vampire.” Klaus said with a coy smirk.
Bonnie looked at Damon again and then the pain and anger of what he did to her mother rose to the surface, “Just get me out of here.”
“Very well.” Klaus agreed and escorted Bonnie out. Then he came back to the room where two girls were still torturing Damon.
“Maybe I should punish you for hurting me.” Lorena heard Klaus whisper as he stood behind her.
Lorena turned around and moved a step back, “Kinky, but I’m not interested.”
“You wouldn’t have a choice if I decided to do that.” Klaus shrugged.
“Just to remind you if you forgot, you were the one who hurt me first.” Lorena reminded him.
“And you slept with my brother.” Klaus spat out.
“Didn’t expect that one coming.” Damon remarked.
“Mind your own business, jerk.” Lorena turned to him and dragged a knife across his chest, “We all know how you look at Elena. Isn’t she your brother's girl?”
Damon groaned in pain but didn't say anything else.
Rebekah sighed before speaking to Lorena and her brother, “And I'm tired of you two bickering about the same thing, over and over again when I know that both of you want to get into each other's pants.”
“Seriously Rebekah?” Lorena shot her a look, “We can’t just smash and think that’s gonna fix things.”
“Right, I tried that method in 1972, but it didn't work out as I wanted to.” Klaus agreed with Lorena.
“Well at least you two agree on something, that's progress.” Rebekah told them, “And it was different then, she wanted me back and you wanted her. Now I’m back so that only leaves one thing.”
“What are you now, a therapist?” Lorena asked her.
“Maybe a couple therapy would do you two some good.” Rebekah suggested.
The conversation between the three of them was cut short when they heard Stefan shouting for Klaus.
Klaus exited the room and Lorena and Rebekah followed him, “Oh good, a hero. What do you want?” he asked.
Stefan dropped the duffel bag with the stakes and Klaus' feet, “I'm here to make a deal.” he stated, “Eight stakes made of white oak. The part of Wickery Bridge that you forgot to burn.”
Klaus looked over at Rebekah and Lorena, seeing the stricken look on their faces he released that both of them thought that they burned all of the wood.
“That's impossible.” Rebekah said confidently.
“Actually it's not. Finn is dead.” Stefan said casually.
Rebekah looked appalled, while Stefan avoided her eyes, “You killed my brother?”
Stefan chose to look at Klaus instead, proposing a deal, “Damon in exchange for the last eight weapons that can kill you.”
“And how do I know there aren't any more left?” Klaus questioned, raising his eyebrow at him.
“Because there aren't.” Stefan answered simply.
“Let's be certain, shall we?” Klaus asked, a murderous glint in his eyes, then he walked over to Damon, “Leave.”
“No.” Damon denied.
“Go on. Leave.” Klaus said again.
“Nik, he's my plaything not yours.” Rebekah objected, but Klaus simply ignored his sister.
Klaus grabbed Damon by the throat and compelled him, “I said, go home.”
Damon started to pull a wrist out from the snares, peeling the flesh off of it in the process. He screamed in pain.
“Alright, stop, stop, stop, before you hurt yourself. Well, seeing that he can finally be compelled. Now.” Klaus grabbed Damon by the throat and compelled him again, “Minus the stake that's in my brother, how many more stakes are out there that can kill me?”
“Eleven.” Damon answered through gritted teeth.
“Eleven! Really? So, not eight then.” Klaus exclaimed with fake excitement.
Rebekah looked at Stefan disappointed, “You really shouldn't have lied.”
“So, should we send you your brother piece by piece or are you going to hand over the stakes willingly?” Lorena said to Stefan in a dangerously calm voice.
“I'll get you the other three.” Stefan swore.
“Yeah, that'll be nice." Klaus nodded before raising up his finger as a matter of factly, "Or since you lied, maybe I'll just compel your brother to chew out his own tongue.” he suggested.
“What is wrong with you?” Stefan shouted at him.
“What is wrong with you?! Do you really have no appreciation for me? I have given you someone to hate, to loathe, a target for all of your anger; so you don't have to turn it on yourself. I have given you life purpose, as your friend.” Klaus laughed, before adding, “I really think you should be thanking me.”
Stefan rushed at Klaus and pinned him against a wall with a white oak stake in hand.
Suddenly Lorena lunged towards Stefan grabbing the back of his throat and twisting his arm that was pointed at Klaus.
“Step down, or I’ll gladly kill you and your brother.” Lorena growled into his ear and Stefan loosened his grip on Klaus and he took the stake from his hand.
Klaus looked surprised at Lorena as she moved away from them, thinking about what took over her body to react like that.
Then he said to Stefan, “Now you only have to get me the other two.”
Rebekah rolled her eyes, “This is ridiculous.” she said before she walked over to Damon and released him from the traps. Damon fell to his knees.
Klaus walked towards her, “What are you doing?”
“I brought him here. I get to release him. My rules now. Bring us the stakes and you both live. Take her brother as a sign of good faith.” Rebekah said as she picked up the duffel bag with the stakes and left.
Lorena started walking towards the door but Klaus grabbed her arms, not letting her go just yet, then looked at Stefan, “Bring us the stakes. All of them. Or I will wage a war against everyone you love. I hope I'm being clear.”
Stefan nodded and sped off with Damon.
“Klaus.. let me go.” Lorena said quietly.
Klaus tightened the grip on her arm, “Why did you do that?”
“I-I don’t know.” Lorena replied uncentrain, not meeting his eyes.
“You acted on an instinct. You were afraid that he’s going to hurt me.” Klaus pointed out.
“I don’t want you dead. I never did.” Lorena quickly told him, then she turned to look at him, “Please Nik, just let me go.”
Klaus gasped in surprise and gave a longing look before saying, “We both know that we belong together, but I’m not going to force you, instead I will wait. For however long it takes.”
Lorena was touched by his words and her eyes filled with tears so she moved them away from him and looked down at the floor and as soon as he let go of her arm she vamp-speeded away.

I have a prompt for you if you can. Not sure if you watch Legacies, there’s an episode where Lizzie makes a wish to a Jinn that Hope is never born. In this alternate universe, Lizzie won the Merge, Klaus flipped his switch 2 years ago in grief and started a war with the humans leading to Triad publicly hunting all supernaturals. Enemy #1 is Klaus and his vampire wife Caroline Mikaelson. I’d like to see a Klaroline fic of this AU please.
Prompt part 2. I have some personal thoughts on this alternative universe but itS totally up to you if you go with them or if you come up with your own. No Hope means no Hayley, means no Elijah dying. So why was Klaus grieving? No Hope means back in TVD S4 the witches had no way of luring him to NO so he stayed in MF eventually wearing Caroline down into a relationship. Josie and Lizzie were like his daughters and when they merged he and Caroline both flipped the switch in grief of Josie.
Tears Will Never Dry (angsty)
“I failed them.” Her voice was so small and defeated. Curled up as she was in the armchair, Caroline looked blankly out the window. Though she had a perfect view of Bonnie talking through some witchy herbs with a despondent Lizzie out in the courtyard, her eyes didn’t seem to register. It was like she wasn’t even there.
Klaus, who once proudly professed he had no heart, felt something break inside him for he knew nothing could truly comfort her. He had failed her. So he offered what little he could, what he held onto when she was so far away. “You love them so completely, you could never fail them,” he vowed, and he’d never meant something so much. It took all his strength not to pull her into his arms, to close the distance she wrapped around herself so tightly. “You will help Lizzie through this, and—” The lump in his throat made it hard to speak, not that he could bring himself to say the name she cried in her sleep. “—you loved her to the end.”
Tears trickled down her crumpled face. “It’s not supposed to happen that way,” she croaked. “Mom and Dad loved me to the end, too. Their ends. Now, I have to live with her being gone. Forever.”
It used to be a promise between them, sweet and tempting; on her tongue, the word sounded sour. Helpless and desperate, Klaus kneeled at her feet. He pressed his mouth to her knee, hands wrapped around her legs like a lifeline. “Tell me what I can do. Please, sweetheart. Let me help.”
Blinking down at him, she let her fingers card through his hair. Her smile was sad, apologetic. “It just hurts so much.”
And he knew it was too late.
The club was a dangerous idea. They were meant to be in hiding, and it defied sense to flaunt their return to New Orleans in a favorite haunt. But the girls were having fun, and Klaus was loathe to break up the party with sense.
He was tucked into the quietest corner of the VIP lounge, high above the din. Lizzie and Caroline, meanwhile, danced in the crush of the crowd, the pounding beat far too much for even a vampire’s ears. They laughed as they bumped into each other, and a smile curled his lips. It was good to be home.
Their little family was still grieving Josie’s loss after two years, each in their own way. Caroline preferred enjoying the lighter side of life, aided by a lack of human sensibilities. Lizzie alternated between reveling in her magic and loathing it for the too dear cost, just as she hated her mother for flipping the switch and loved having her as more of a friend. Klaus...
Klaus was just trying to keep the game interesting.
“Careful, friend,” Marcel warned, offering him a fresh drink as he dropped into the next chair. “Your humanity is showing.”
“She’s not paying me any mind, we can speak freely.” He turned to his old friend, a son that was lost and found, then lost and found again. How he wished he could grant such a miracle to Caroline. “Tell me about Triad.”
Clenching his glass, Marcel looked grim. “My nightwalkers keep disappearing, and even the ones with the GIft,” he murmured with laden meaning, since vampires had learned to hoard the secret of lapis lazuli and the safety it provided, “have mentioned being followed. Davina hasn’t risen far in the ranks of the organization yet, but she thinks a big move is in the works.”
He grit his teeth. “And?”
“The ‘vampire wife’ is whispered around the place. Often.”
It was a fight to loosen the tension in his body, but a necessary one. He raised a toast to Caroline, who tried to coax him out to the dance floor. He shook his head, charming enough so as not to rouse her suspicion. “I assume a kidnapping then.”
“At the least,” Marcel agreed. “Whether they want information from her or to use her against you, torture is to be expected. The switch might be a benefit to her if it comes to that—”
"It won't." His tone was final, even as he held his smirk. The ladies were too busy laughing off those bold men trying to dance with them to read him from afar. "She's been through enough."
Noticeably quiet, Marcel just sipped his drink.
“What, Marcellus?” Klaus bit out.
With a measured glance toward him, he shrugged. “The switch... She’s not really going through anything, and she hasn’t for years now. And thinking you’ve flipped yours, too? You’ve created a comfortable little world for her to avoid the pain, maintaining it to keep her safe without her knowing. What happens when the illusion shatters?”
He gave a careless flip of his hand. “She can’t turn it off twice.”
“If you say so.”
It wasn’t a new argument to Klaus, not when Stefan, Bonnie, Elijah — even Rebekah — had implored him to rethink his grand strategy for Caroline to party away the worst of her pain. At the very least, he could be honest about his own, relatively intact humanity. Instead, he let her enjoy the lighter side of life without tempting a worse outcome should she feel the need to punish him for trying to fix her. After all, she’d done much the same when her mother died.
The subterfuge was messy but necessary, especially with credible threats against her in this war the humans insist upon waging. His ear was attuned to the array of heartbeats throughout the club, the loud music not enough to dull his hybrid senses. Vampires had a slow, dull throb when compared to the hearty pound of a werewolf, not that they’d find themselves in the Abattoir without some pressing business that was sure to involve him. Same with the witches, and only Lizzie’s let out the fast-paced thrum of both full blood and magic.
Humans, though, they seemed to be threading in from the edges of the crowd — and aiming for the blondes at the center. Feeling the world slow around him, Klaus launched himself down from the balcony, mindless to the vampires hurrying to get everyone out of his way. None of them caught the true danger, however, until the strobe light caught on the wooden stakes being pulled from jackets.
Klaus managed to snap three necks before they got close, but Caroline was too busy blocking access to Lizzie to notice the woman stretching a strong arm toward her. Feeling like he was underwater, he watched as Lizzie’s fear overwhelmed her, and the hand grasped around her mother’s wrist glowed red. Pain seemed to lance through Caroline, and she lost her focus to fend off the attack she still hadn’t seen coming.
The familiar scent of her blood filled the air, and all Klaus could see was red.
Later, he would confirm that the scratch down Caroline’s back healed perfectly, that she’d survived the bold offensive he hadn’t stopped. Even later than that, he would acknowledge his plan had been far from perfect, without even the veneer of success to defend it when her humanity was eventually restored.
But in the moment, the thought of losing her to his own carelessness was too much. Clearly, holding onto his humanity wasn’t working the way he’d envisioned; in fact, his rage at the sight of a stake piercing her skin felt like a liability. He processed this in the span of a second, and by the time the human’s bloody head hit the dance floor, his decision had been made.
The world already saw him as a ruthless monster. He might as well give it to them, and he’d make them bleed for daring to harm her. He didn’t need his humanity for that.
With his fangs bared and blood dripping from his hand, he certainly looked the part. When Caroline met his eyes, however, something must have alerted her to the change. Having torn the stake from her back and moved Lizzie to the safe space between them, her head tilted to the side as she appraised him with a new appreciation. She gave a sharp grin of joy and arousal, her tongue slipping from beneath her fangs to wet the corner of her lips. “It’s about time.”

Back Off: A Kol Mikaelson Imagine
Request from Anon: Can you write and imagine where the reader is kol's girlfriend, they met in New Orleans before he was daggered and is really close with his siblings more than with hers because they always choose the girl that they have feelings instead of her, so when she comes to Mystic Falls with the Mikaelson's and meet Elena she has a lot of troubles with them because of her, and Kol is always there to help her and back her up against her brothers.
This is it. My 101st imagine. Let’s hope this (potentially) next 100 are as good as the last! Hope this is okay for you lovely, and enjoy x
It had been over a century since you had last since your brothers, having left Mystic Falls after growing tired of your place at the bottom of their list of priorities. No matter what trouble you were going through, no matter how much you just needed your big brothers, Damon and Stefan Salvatore would always choose someone else, the latest woman that took their fancy.
You’d always liked New Orleans, so when you arrived at the beginning of the twentieth century, it was better than anything you could have imagined. It was made perfect when you met Kol Mikaelson, falling in love with the Original vampire, taking your place as a member of his family, of one that, despite their disputes with your boyfriend, valued you, took care of you, maybe even loved you.
For the first time in a long time, life was perfect. There was of course a moment when it wasn’t, when Kol had been daggered, and you had stayed away from the family for a while, dealing with your loss.
But that was all over now. Here you were, in the twenty-first century, back in the arms of the man you loved. It was just a shame your reunion had to take place somewhere you had vowed never to return.
“I’m sorry it had to be here,” Kol murmured into your hair, his hands running up and down your arms. You lay with your back to his chest, both of you having been removed of your clothes the moment you were left alone. “Have you seen them yet?”
You sighed, turning in his arms to face him. You studied every feature, every inch of skin, every glint in his eyes, every tooth in his smile. You had missed it, missed him. It was supposed to be a perfect moment, just you and him, and you joked with him about the mention of your brothers.
“Do we have to talk about them? Way to ruin the moment.”
“Oh, we were having a moment?” Kol smiled, sarcasm lacing his words.
“Well, I’m confused as to what we’ve been doing so far.”
He kissed you and any thoughts of your family disappeared. In truth, you had seen them already, even spoken to them. It was a quick hello, followed by the two Salvatore brothers trying to engage in conversation with you, no doubt, to allow them to express a dire apology, or criticise you for leaving. Their attempts were cut short when Rebekah came to your rescue, your brothers shocked and disgusted as they were informed of your association with the Mikaelson family.
But the way your brothers reacted didn’t matter now. And it wouldn’t until a few days later.
“Y/N, you’d better behave,” Klaus turned on you as you smoothed down your dress. Tonight was the Mikaelson ball and you knew your brothers would be attending, along with that girl who looked remarkably like Miss Petrova. You had hated her too, the latest in a long line of women who had been chosen over you. You had no doubt that Elena Gilbert- as you were told was her name- would be exactly the same.
“Who? Me?” You feigned innocence, earning a small smile from the hybrid. In reality, you had no plans to disrupt the evening, at least, not yet. You couldn’t say the same for Kol, who now walked in, placing an arm around your waist. You exhaled as he did so, his lips lingering on your cheek before turning to his brother.
“Trust me, Klaus,” the hybrid scoffed, “As long as those morons don’t bother us, we’ll be on our best behaviour.” As Klaus walked away, you looked up at Kol, a familiar devilish spark in his eyes.
“What are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking that should your brothers dare upset you, I’ll tear them apart.”
You placed your hands on Kol’s cheeks, placing a gentle kiss on his lips.
“And that is exactly why I love you.”
“I know.”
A few hours later, and you were in no doubt that Kol’s desire to tear your brothers to pieces would soon be appeased. Elena, that young lady whom you had taken an instant dislike to, had already cornered you, finding a moment when Kol left you alone to discuss what she had deemed issues with you.
“Damon and Stefan, they really want to make things up with you.”
“And so they sent you?”
“Well, no, not exactly, but-”
“But what happened between my brothers and myself is none of your business. And if you have any sense, which I highly doubt, you’ll run far away from me before I rip your heart out.”
“Always on the attack, aren’t we, Y/N? But I guess living with the freaking Mikaelsons hasn’t helped with that.”
You snarled at Damon, the eldest of your brothers having appeared to save Elena, his damsel in distress.
“I don’t know, Damon, I’ve always quite liked that side of her,” you fought the urge to smile as you felt Kol at your side, “Now how about you back off before this evening gets more messy than either of us want?”
You took a step back as the two vampires squared off against each other. Normally, you would have been the one to step in, to place your hand on Kol’s chest, to take him away to your bedroom so he could exercise his emotions in other ways. But this you wanted to see. As Stefan walked onto the scene, barely throwing a glance at you, you felt your heart beat faster, willing on Kol to finally make your brothers pay for all the hurt they had caused you.
But instead it was Elena who stepped in, her words warning your two brothers just who they were facing. And then you heard the words that really made your blood boil.
“She’s not worth it.”
You saw red. You grabbed Elena by the throat, pinning her up against the wall.
“Say that again.”
Of course, she couldn’t, your hand slowly cutting off her airways.
“I’m not worth it? Me? Honey, let me tell you something. I have lived my life being put at the bottom of their pile of things to care about, some girl just like you taking pride of place in their minds. But you know what I’ve learnt? Those girls just get replaced over and over again. That’s all you are, Elena, a replacement,” you drowned out the shouting of your brothers as they demanded you let her go. They were held back by Kol, whom you glimpsed at; he was smiling, his eyes shining, an expression that only spurred you on. “You’ll soon find out, Miss Gilbert, that if anyone’s not worth it in their eyes, it’ll be you. Me? I’ve found someone who actually believes I am worth it, who actually loves me. I’ll be just fine.”
You dropped her then, and your brothers scrambled to her aid. It was in that moment that you kissed Kol, hungrily, passionately, not caring who saw. Stefan’s cry of disgust snapped you out of the moment, but you were still very aware of Kol’s hand on the small of your back, memories of your reunion resurfacing.
“Him? Seriously?”
“Seriously. Now, as I said, it would be in your best interests to back off from your sister. Unless you want a repeat of what just happened,” Kol took a step forward, “Unless you want worse.”
From that moment on, your brothers no longer tried to approach you. Of course, there was conflict between them and the rest of your newfound family, but it was miniscule in comparison into what could have occurred had Kol not defended you, had you not defended yourself.
It had been over a century since you had last seen Damon and Stefan Salvatore, but because of Kol Mikaelson, you didn’t care if it was a century more.

Imagine: He purposely annoys you, so you decide to tease him in public.
Pairings: Kol x Reader
Warnings: teasing, orgasm denial(male), hand job, fluff
Words: 1078
Dating Kol is difficult at times. Sometimes he can be really frustrating to be with because he has the days where he's in a bad mood so he decides to piss everyone off but there is days when we go on cute dates or have chill days. Today he woke up in an aggravating mood, he refused to get up this morning and then when he did he was clingy whilst I was trying to get ready and when he got annoyed I wasn't showing him enough affection, he started to ignore me.
We had finally arrived at the grill for Klaus's birthday dinner. Yes, it wasn't special but it was special enough for us. I was sat between Kol and Stefan.
Everything was going fine so far. Everyone got what they ordered with no complaints. We were all chatting except Kol he was focusing his attention elsewhere. He still wasn't talking to me because I was more interested in everyone else at our table and what they had to say than watch him be childish all day.
I did get curious though when Kol was being to quiet, I turned my head and he was flirting with the bartender up at the bar. Luckily, Klaus called him back over before he went to far. Which, I would have to thank him for. He started to stare at the waitress's boobs that were dropping in front of his face, since she was putting plates of food down.
So I decided to get my own revenge. I picked my wine glass up and took a sip whilst Elijah was talking to me from across the table. I then used my other hand to brush his clothed member.
"So Elijah, how is the office at the minute ?"
"It's been okay, but it's not the same without you there full time anymore."
"Oh you know how much I loved working with you 'Lijah but it's been my dream to open my own restaurant. Now that I have, it's all quite surreal."
"No I'm glad you pursuing your dreams Y/N. If I did, I wouldn't be working for my father's law firm."
I felt Kol grip my thigh as I added more scandal to my movements by slipping my small hand down his jeans and boxers and caressing his big, hard cock.
I stoked over his bare manhood continuously whilst I was intrigued by a conversation Klaus had started with me. I heard his inaudible-to everyone except me-moans ringing in my ear and felt his large, streaked hand gripping my bare satiny thigh.
The skirt of my red summer dress riding higher and higher. I giggled, I let him relish in the false sense of dominance for a moment before rising my leg and crossing it over the other. Which allowed his hand to slip from my thigh. My hand slipping out his pants as he was about to climax.
His slight groan was ringing in my ears and his pout visible from miles away. I decided to slip my hand down his pants again and slowly jerk him off. I couldn't go any faster than I already was because it would educate everyone at the table, what was actually going on.
I continued to caress his cock slowly. His cock started to throb a little, a little cum trickled down my hand. I kept my slow pace, pumping him continuously. I then felt him throb erratically and a load of cum everywhere...his boxers, his cock...my hand.
I carefully took my hand back, smiling at what Rebekah was saying.
"I finally managed to get my degree Y/N, now I can start my own fashion company. Isn't that amazing ?"
"It is, I'm so proud of you, Rebekah."
I genuinely was happy for Bekah, she's worked so incredibly hard for this ever since she found out that's what started my career off, I have my own fashion company and I don't a lot of modelling gigs. Not to big but Rebekah has idolised me for it since she was a little girl. She's like the younger sister I never had, considering she is like 7 years younger than me. She's had an interest in it since she was 9 that was when I started working on getting my first degree and doing small modelling gigs.
Whilst I was wiping my hands on some wipes I had in my bag, everyone was trying to get Kol's attention. I couldn't stop giggling.
"Babe ? They are trying to talk to you."
He looked at me and pulled me into the most passionate kiss he's ever given me. Everyone was 'awing' at us, it made me blush.
"What was that for ?"
He smiled at me and cupped my face.
"I can't believe it's taken me this long to realise that you seriously are the most beautiful and perfect girl in the world. I will never find anyone even in a million lifetimes any more perfect for me than you. I love you Y/N Y/L/N."
"I love you Kol Mikaelson."
I couldn't help but collect tears in my eyes as I kissed him again.
"Since we are all confessing stuff. Me and Stefan want to make an announcement."
Rebekah stood up as she spoke. What more could there be to tell us than about her getting her degree ?
"We are expecting you all to attend the baby shower we are hosting next week...."
I couldn't believe the words coming out of her mouth. She's pregnant. Definitely understand why she waited to announce that. Of course everyone was happy except Kol, who was confused.
"For what baby ?"
Everyone groaned.
"Oh Kol."
"What?"
"Mine and Stefan's. I'm pregnant, Kol."
He was still a little confused by it all even when he was told, but eventually he was full to the brim with excitement.
Life couldn't be more perfect. My family was moving closer to me, so I could see them more than I do. Kol finally told me he loved me. Rebekah and Stefan were becoming adults, even after just getting married they were expecting a child. Elijah and Hayley were having their third child soon. Damon and Elena announce they were engaged. Klaus and Caroline finally started dating. Freya and Keelin, just had their first son Nick. Bonnie and Enzo got secretly eloped. Jeremy's still looking for love, but he's found a girl and believes she's the one. Everything was actually okay, for once.
