ive made a few of these bingo sheets and theyre fun so i decided to make one not just for e3 but also JUST for splatoon 3 (not just for e3 but for like the whole lifetime of the game). also heres my updated list of characters id like to see in smash, ordered generally by which id like more and/or think are the most realistic

since min min got in i took out helix, and since i couldnt decide whether to add in waluigi or madeline i added another row (realistically i dont think any indies are getting in but i threw some in anyway). also i was like “oh yeah maybe theyd put in a gen viii pokemon” so i threw in hatterene since thats one of my favorites.

also as for waluigi (and shovel knight for that matter) i think it would be nice to see an assist trophy get in just to break that rule. also i remember being super surprised he wasnt in brawl (back then i thought he and wario were equally important) and even though that was based on a wrong impression ive still felt like he should be in there ever since

xenoblade chronicles x is one of the only wii u games left that they could port (aside from ones that wouldnt make much sense like splatoon and ssb4) so i guess that might as well happen sometime. also monolith soft might be doing something else besides helping with splatoon 3

im not ready for metroid prime 4 (im over halfway through mp2 and therefore the trilogy as a whole) but it’s been a while, they might show it and it could even come out this year

the upgraded switch is obviously going to be called the Nintendo Switch ͥ  since they already did the ds lite so theyre clearly naming everything in the family after the ds family, theres absolutely no flaw in this logic. idk if theyre showing it, but unlike 2019 they didnt say they werent showing new hardware (just that they were showing software, which could be taken as denying rumors, but they sometimes specify when certain things arent being shown)

Making a Stupid  Despair Apocalypse AU with the Ahoge trio bc why not?

Ok so where to start hmm oh! Backstory!...kinda

-The Boys are essentially childhood friends to lovers(?) Hajime knew Makoto while he was in kindergarden and Haji was in 1st grade and Shuichi being the smartie kid in class, he was transferred into the same grade as Haji. But they, still hung out bc Haji was that kid that always got on yellow in class and Shuichi was along for the ride with Makoto’s weird luck its amazing they got through primary school.

-Middle school rolled around and they all kinda lose contact because you know everyone trying to determine what HS you get into and stuff and its stressful. With Haji working hard to get into HPA, Mako honestly just floating along and Sushi starting to get more involved with his Uncle’s cases they don’t see each other alot but they always make sure attend each others BDays and have a end of summer hurrah vacation. 

-FInally Hope’s Peak Academy! (Whoa!) Hajime in the Reserve Course, Makoto is in the Main along with Shuichi. So they start to hang out again and everyone is catching feelings. Too bad those feelings aren’t enough to keep Hajime from undergoing Izuru Kamukura project. 

- Both Makoto and Shuichi start to get worried as they usually took like walks and stuff to and from the reserve the department and dorms and just hung so where did Hajime Hinata disappear to?

-Izuru Kamukura can’t get any freaking sleep because in the back of his mind something keeps nudging on and on about a Makoto and Shuichi? what are these things and why does he keep thinking about them?? WHO ARE THEY???

- The despair twins bust Izuru out and he begins his hunt for the mysterious names. Luckily he get his hands on both of them before things go down the drain in HPA. 

- The two recognize the face and overwhelmed with both fear and relief as ‘hey our crush is safe but like he doesn’t look so friendly anymore uh oh.’ and Izuru all like ‘come with me if you want to live’ and they do want to live and see if they can get hajime back as they recognized his face but they don’t know why he’s calling himself Izuru??

- He takes them a location ( I was thinking The ndrv3 building but its not hope’s peak it like a sorta abandoned underground mall, shopping center, business stuff and apartment type building) and commands that they must stay as the apocalypse is coming and for some reason is deeply concerned for their well being.

- Shuichi is sorta hesitant but is too shy to speak up about it, so its Makoto who gets into an argument with izuru, saying that he needs to get his family, his classmates before its too late if the apocalypse is truly happening and want to go back out and bring them. Izuru rejects the idea which start an argument between the two which snaps the Hajime out of Izuru.

- Hajime tries to reason and calm Makoto down but in the heat of the moment Makoto storms out and goes to retreat  his family and his classmates. So its just Shuichi and Hajime in the building, the two try to make the best of whats happening. Being a detective Shuichi does ask for the deets and Hajime tells him what izuru knows but refuses to let Shuichi go. He feels as if he already lost Makoto and he doesn’t wanna lose another person he cares about deeply.

Now this is where this thing spilts into two different paths: 

One path is when Makoto gets captured by some despairs who give him to junko so then he goes through the killing game and its not until they leave HPA and is back into the Apocalypse (with the other 5) that he meets up with Shuichi and the occasional Hajime/Izuru

The other is when Makoto eventually comes back... not looking so hot. Dude got a limp and covered in wounds and blood and oop... He collapsed! Hajime was a lil hesitant to let him back in which offended Shuichi enough to bitchslap him and talk some sense into him. When Makoto wakes the trio talk it out and agree to stay in the building. Hajime turns into Izuru and leaves for awhile and comes back leaving Makoto and Shuichi to fend for themselves, its hard but they get used to it eventually that doesn’t mean they come back unscaved. They also have been looking for Komaru and have been watching the killing game. 

This also really stupid but I was listening to this song and made me think what if they went surfing in the apocalypse???(I specifically thinking of Shuichi and him going overboard to the beat of the music at 1:24) SO DUCK IT MIGHT BE THE APOCALYPSE BUT THE THREE WENT THE BEACH AND HAD A GOOD TIME.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Hi guys and Happy New Year! I figured today would be a good time to post this as it is the beginning of 2021 and there’s some things I’d like to set straight after thinking about everything over the course of 2020.

⚠️ CW: Mentions about suicide attempts, mental health stuff ⚠️

So, first things first:

1. Game of Cat and Mouse

-I know. I know that it’s been a year since I’ve updated that fic. It’s been a year since I touched anything Saiouma or DR-related period (excluding that Goblin AU one-shot I did for Saiou Week). I’ve gotten asks, comments on said fic, and even a post tagging me on Twitter about when I’ll be posting the next chapter for Game of Cat and Mouse. The answer? I don’t know. I honestly don’t know when the next chapter will come. 2020 has been a total shitshow for me, just as it has been for everyone else. No matter how hard I have tried to get motivated to work on it (rereading my fic, talking about V3 with my friend Jhayde, etc), by the time I click on the word doc, all of my motivation just disappears and I go to work on something else instead. The fate of Game of Cat and Mouse along with my other Saiouma fic, requests, etc, will be stated below.

2. DR fandom + BNHA fandom

-So, I’m sure you all have noticed a shift in fandoms. I’ve been writing more for BNHA than I have been for DR (NDRV3, to be more specific). It’s because right now, I honestly don’t have any motivation to write for the DR fandom. It’s just not there anymore. Ever since what happened with me and my suicide attempt, it’s been a struggle to get back to the me that I know I am. And 2020 has honestly made it ten times worse. It’s a miracle that I’m still writing fics at all. I love Danganronpa, I really do. But right now, my heart’s just not into it. So, from here on out, I’m going to be leaving the fandom for some time. I do have intentions to return, since everyone’s been so nice to me and this might be the best fandom I’ve been a part of. I also want to finish Game of Cat and Mouse. But with how I am right now, it’s just not possible. So, Game of Cat and Mouse along with Love on Aisle Four will be put on hiatus until further notice. As for requests, they will be closed until further notice. For the ones that I’ve accepted: I don’t think I’ll be able to finish them. I really do apologize for having you wait so long only to hear me say that the requests will not be completed. Again, I really and sincerely apologize *bows*

In regards to BNHA: I find that writing Bakudeku is somewhat cathartic? When my depression started hitting me hard, I couldn’t write anything and it terrified me that I might potentially never be able to write again. The first thing I wrote after so long? Katsuki teaching Izuku how to cut an onion. It was so simple, so mundane, but it brought me joy for the first time in a while and I deadass cried in the facility I was at after my attempt. Ever since then, I’ve just...gravitated more to BNHA and Bakudeku. So, I’m going to stick with this fandom, even if it’s a huge one and I barely get noticed 😂

(I have spoken to some nice and encouraging people, though! So, I guess that’s a positive)

3. Other things to go over

-Like I mentioned before, 2020 was horrible from start to finish. It’s been horrible for me and for everyone else. My mental health has taken a huge hit and every day has been a struggle to keep myself from spiraling into self destructive thoughts and to stay positive. It’s hard. But, I want to try. I want to try and get better and feel happy. So I’m going to be focusing on the things that make me happy. I’m going to work on things and WIPs that I want to work on because it has felt like I’ve been doing things for the sake of others. I want to do things for me now, so I hope you understand.

I’m also going to be doing some pre-spring cleaning (I’m calling it that because it’s still winter) on my AO3! I’m going to take down some of my works that I haven’t touched in some time (I’m still thinking about what I wish to do with my ONS works like Seoul Lights and IASWASB, so those will stay up). I am also going to be changing my username once I get my fic for the Bakugou bang posted (I hope the name hasn’t been taken) and it will also be the last time I change my username since I’ve been tweaking it in the past. The username I have in mind is one I’ve really grown into over the past couple of years and I think that that’s the username for me. If I don’t get the one I want, I’ll either use something close to it or maybe my Twitter username, idk yet.

I...think this might be all I have to say? I’ll reblog this post with additional info if I need to, but otherwise, it’s a wrap! Again, I want to thank you all for the support and love you’ve given me in the DR fandom! It means so much to me. Like I said, I want to return eventually, but right now is just not that time. Hope you’ll looki forward to what I’ll be posting in the future, especially if you ship Bakudeku too :D

4 - As of this moment my favourite character has to be Ouma because I'm not gonna lie, I always have a soft spot for characters who just cause problems on purpose. My favourite character does change depending on which day it is though shfkd Ouma might be my all time favourite character but I also love Kaito, Tenko and Miu too!

7 - It has to be a split between the 1st trial from the third game and the 5th trial from the third game. I like the 1st trial because of the plot twist in it and also how unique it was and the same can be said for the 5th trial. The 5th trial was also the only trial I started to feel really emotional when playing ahaha

10 - I think I'd be the Ultimate Sleepy Person because I like to take naps a lot lol

16 - My absolute BROTP is Rantaro and Ouma *stares at Missing* because idk man, I think if Rantaro lived longer I think him and Ouma would've had a brotherly relationship

19 - I honestly have a couple of underrated characters. Obviously my first pick is Ryoma because honestly he is so good and he just like, died before he got some solid good development. I also think Angie is underrated too. Parts of ndrv3 were rather rushed so I think characters like Ryoma and Angie didn't get the development they deserved

22 - Ultimate Robot!!! Kiibaby needs more recognition ahaha

26 - Gonna have to be brutal and say Kaede's was absolutely savage

29 - Literally everyone in drv3 deserved to live but hear me out, in some alternative universe where there was enough antidote I really think Ouma would've been an amazing character to keep alive. The entire theme of the game was truth vs lies and to have him miss out on the sixth trial was so sad because I would've loved to see his reaction

42 - I quite like Tsumugi. She fits the role of the game very well. Her entire character is supposed to be plain and I know that can be seen as boring but!!! I quite like her. I wish she had a bit more development and wasn't so obvious. Her death was also really sad tbh

46 - Hmm...my unpopular headcanon would be I don't think the pregame personalities are as edgy as I've seen them be portrayed

47 - I headcanon that Kiibo is actually a person but due to medical reasons he could've join the game. However, he made a brief cameo appearance at the start (hence the human Kiibo at the start of the game.) This person actually created Kiibo

51 - Hmm...I don't actually hate any of the characters. I think Tenko might be a good answer for this because at first she was a little overwhelming but after a while I grew to really like her!

59 - I loved the gambling scene where Kaito just loses all of his coins and cries on the floor. Absolutely iconic (especially with Ryoma and Ouma in the background sdhgddgs)

65 - Truth be told I knew all the spoilers for the 3rd game when I played it. I think the only deaths that caught me off guard were Kiibo's and Tsumugi's as they were rather sudden

71 - Characters I relate to are Tenko because I was once in a class that was full of only boys and one other girl and I was like hoo boy (I also got called Tenko once too asdfdgdas) I also relate to Kaito too since he always helps people and doesn't know how to ask for help and aaaaaaaaa

100 - Makoto: seems okay, very hopeful 7/10

Hajime: Honestly I'm not gonna lie I haven't seen much of the second game but all that I know is that he's always angry or something and drinks orange juice idk 5/10

Komaru: Did I spell her name right???? She seems pretty cool, yells into a microphone and was the first female protagonist 8/10

Kaede: You know what I think if she was the protagonist for the entire game I would've loved ndrv3 a little bit more 9/10

Shuichi: I have nothing against him and I used to adore him so much but after thinking about him more, I think he would've been better as the sidekick character. He is relatable but idk man, I think his character development might've been better if he stayed as Kaede's sidekick and ended up being the chapter 5 victim or culprit??? (I have so many thoughts about how things could've been different in the game truth be told aaaa) 7.5/10

part 1 of ??? - intro to the au and going into angie’s and kaede’s story

Okay! I’m deciding to call this the Flipped!AU. Why? I’ll tell ya why! All of the NDRV3 characters (except ONE theywhowillnotbenamed >:( ) have this fabricated backstory, right? Well, what if A) this was the character’s actual backstories and B) in some point of this backstory something changed that caused them to go to a whole different career path. A... flip of a switch so to say... Heh, heh, heh. 

I ain’t gonna talk about the two characters on this blog cause their backstories and what makes them different from their OG counterparts is something that ya’ll gotta ask yourself. So, I’ll just stick to characters that probably aren’t going to show up on this blog.

Being the person who watched someone online play NDRV3, I really don’t know as much as other people! So, what is a girl to do? She looks in the Wiki. Looking into the DR Wiki for that good old fabricated past lore brought some interesting things up. Things like that fact that Angie’s home island has plants that are known to attack people. Um, WHAT? 

I never knew that, and I feel like those goddamn plants need to be in the spotlight! So, let’s weave them into Angie’s backstory, eh? But hooooow? Well, Atua is really important to Angie, so let’s rip Him away from her via the power of attacking plants!

In the Flipped!AU, lil’ Angie, the prophet of the island god Atua, is attacked by one of these plants and forgets EVERYTHING. Her name, her status, and the main man Atua Himself! The islanders see this as Atua rejecting Angie and shun her to the wild jungle because if their God doesn’t see her as suitable then why should they?

Now Angie is like less than ten years old in this wild ass jungle. Kind of a big yikes. Don’t worry, she totes survives. And with that survival comes the total hatred. People who she doesn’t even remember just discard her like just because their stupid (every time she disgraces Atua, she flinches but she doesn’t really understand why) god said so? Fuck them, and FUCK THOSE PLANTS.

Yea, that’s right. She hates those things, especially now she’s in the jungle where they live. It was because of those plants that she’s in this mess! Grrrr!! And with hatred comes the desire to wipe them off of the planet! She sets up a hut and via her childhood friend who tries to help she studies her little brain off to eradicate these plants. But it’s hard to do when these things when the plants you're dealing with might not even be plants, so hell why not study all the plants and how to kill them to see if something works.

Studying all the plants? Whoop, whoop, we got ourselves a SHSL Botanist! After using her friend to send a letter to a scientific journal about a correction, Hope’s Peak Academy sends her a letter and a free ride to their academy (because killing games don’t exist in this universe. a weird little game about them does tho OWO). Boom! This feral botanist is on her way to becoming a true Ultimate!

If I were to make a sprite edit for her character (which isn’t saying a lot because I don’t change their clothes at all sksksk), then I’d just dirty the swim top, make her jacket white, exchange the paintbrushes for vials, and make all the clothes look like its been through a tornado. Oh and have her hair more shaggy and long as she really wasn’t able to get proper hair cuts (if I could even achieve that with my basic sprite edit skillz)! I’m not sure what else though. Tbh, I’m more of a backstory person than a costume design person.

Personality wise, she’d be insanely bitter with some serious walls around her heart. But at the same time, she just wants human connection so she does a total Gundham and makes excuses for a classmate to be “useful” and be around her. Standing next to a person (god forbid someone she finds slightly attractive) gives her a high, I swear. Her speech would be blunt and short to the point with a possible stutter because I’d imagine an incident that gave her amnesia might mess with some language things.

Hgggggh, god it feels so good to put this on paper! Or online text? I don’t know. You know what doesn’t feel good? Me, Mr. Stark. Not doing the thing you love to do! Bad segways are bad, but Kaede’s situation isn’t that good too.

Lemme read you something straight from the wiki. “Since she was a child, Kaede has been playing the piano so much so that she would forget to eat and sleep at times.” Forgetting to eat and sleep. Forgetting to eat and sleep. Hmmm, I can use that!

I like when there are consequences for actions, and this time the action is that Kaede goes too far. She really immerses herself in the piano and gets hospitalized as a result. This has been like the fifth time this has happened, so the doctor says NO MORE PIANO. 

Did you hear that? 

That’s the sound of 9-year-old Kaede Akamatsu’s heart breaking.

Kaede feels empty without her beloved piano. It’s been her whole life up into this point, so she tries to fill that void. A little bit of art? How about some writing? Gardening? Cooking? Building? Studying? Acting? She does it all. And, honestly, she’s only decent at all of the skills above and she still feels as empty as ever. 

Apparently, that’s enough for Hope’s Peak Academy as they invited the supposed girl who can do everything. And thus, the SHSL Jack of All Trades came to the school. Or maybe something shorter. Eh, I’ll figure it out.

Sprite edit would be to make her clothes into dull tones. Erase every reference of music and piano if possible. If not maybe draw x’s over these? Anyway, in place of these have a bunch of badges all over her clothes, one for each talent she’s half-assed in. Lowkey just realized her talent is the shitty version of Izuru’s sjafksdflkj

Like her clothes, her personality would be like her OG self if some pulled back on the reins a lot. Dull, bland. Not very fun to be around tbh. However, being in Hope’s Peak and away from parental supervision would probably make her personality slowly (and I mean slowly it’d be pretty unrealistic if she snaps back to her ndrv3 self immediately) go back to original, especially when her class surprises her with a cheap piano from the Japanese equivalent of Craigslist. She’d cry so much seeing that thing.

ndrv3 HPA AU (Class ‘79) notes~

I’ve only ever been posting snippets of the their silly school life (without following a chronological timeline of events) so here’s some context of how I characterized the ndrv3 kids (essentially the same personalities but with some tweaks) and maybe some info on the relationships in my comics. Implied and outright spoilers, apparently. The rest under the cut.

Kaede Akamatsu: The ‘protagonist spotlight’ mostly falls on her. Personality-wise, she’ll still be the ever cheerful, charming and kind Kaede (with a toned down self-righteousness) but with a dash of her pre-game personality which is being mistrustful and to an extent, condescending. 

Angie Yonaga: Angie is still Angie, but with added eccentricities. Since she her character design kind of implies she’s from an island in the West (okay, Hawaii) which is part of America, she’s going to be referencing memes and western culture.

Kirumi Tojo: Her maid shtick is a conscious effort for her. She has selfish whims and insecurities deep down that calm, collected and altruistic persona that she tries to project. (in-game Tojo was just too one dimensional, ugh)

Tenko Chabashira: She mostly maintains her enthusiastic, down to earth, protective (of the girls) nature but she won’t be too vocal about her aversion towards the MENaces (it was so overdone in the game to the point of being annoying) and with a short temper. Will probably have a sad or comical (still can’t decide which lol) backstory about why she dislikes DEGENERATE MALES.

Himiko Yumeno: Mostly the same with her in-game personality but isn’t dismissive of human interaction. Apart from her “I’m a mage, not a magician” gag, she’s suspected to be always on drugs by most. Secretly stays up late a lot to watch k-drama.

Maki Harukawa: Still anti-social and uptight but it won’t be because of her talent (which is outright revealed to be Ultimate Assassin)… she just hates talking to people her age (lol). Also, her backstory won’t be the same in-game coz that seemed intentionally sad in context, but it’s strangely out of place in a peaceful AU like this. She’s still from an orphanage and serves as an elder sister figure. She was physically conditioned and trained to be an assassin but it turns out it was just a complicated plot to make her a Motion Capture stunt girl for an Assassin’s Creed game. So yeah, she hasn’t really killed anyone in real life but she physically (and mentally??) can, if desired.

Tsumugi Shirogane: She won’t think she’s a plain jane nor will she make an effort to remain a ‘wallflower.’ She’s into a lot of fandoms, naturally. She also stans Junko Enoshima (who isn’t a Despair junkie btw) and makes vague references about “being in a reality show,” (wink, wink)

Miu Iruma: Same ol’ Miu, but will try to make an effort to be likeable. Also has standards, so no she is not going to do lewd things with Teru Teru-sempai.

Shuichi Saihara: Since no one has to die for his character development, it’s going to take awhile for him to remove his hat. At first, he’s still meek and unconfident but not codependent on Kaede. Also adding a dash of his pre-game personality, him being an avid fanboy of all things detective (stans Kyoko Kirigiri, has a sizable collection of Nancy Drew Books and Detective Conan manga etc). Struggles with depression at times.

Kokichi Ouma: Compulsive lying is dumbed down and has his limits with his intentional assholery. His genuinely caring personality will also peek through a lot and he won’t vehemently deny it that much.

Rantaro Amami: Carefree, easygoing and fabulously gay big brother figure of the class. Makes vlogs in the style of Bear Grylls’ Man VS Wild. He also references the Danganronpa franchise plots (except V3) in his stories of his adventures.

Kaito Momota: Still quite sexist but it’s more because of upbringing rather than intentional. He doesn’t just suddenly develop an incurable, deadly disease but he has Tuberculosis (hence, coughs a lot). And, he’s very competitive (his pre-game personality repackaged).

Ryoma Hoshi: Mostly detached and stoic but not depressive and unfeeling. I’m tweaking his backstory a bit coz an ex-con that has served prison time going back to high school is a bit weird (and I don’t want the “HPA pulling shady shenanigans” shtick). His family has been murdered and all he has left is the family cat (that he gets to keep in the dorms) and he’s been pursuing leads about the mafia responsible for it. He’s basically a Sasuke Uchiha here. Anyway, he’s wise but vindictive. Fortunately, he doesn’t want to serve justice with his own hands.

Korekiyo Shinguji: Doesn’t have a sister complex and definitely not a compulsive serial killer here. He’s already got an interesting, creepy persona. Miyadera is alive, but still sickly and would visit him often to bring him home-cooked meals. Unsurprisingly has a fascination for see-saws.

Gonta Gokuhara: still the best boy best boy best boy raised in the mountains He won’t be too gullible here and would even join in roasting Kokichi.

Keebo Idabashi: He’s the Ultimate Robotics Engineer since he’s not a robot. Spent most of his life sheltered (even from the internet) so he’s shy and quite socially inept. Always gets very defensive of his talent.

And now, for the platonic and romantic ships~ I actually multiship but in this AU I’m going to stick to one ship for a particular person since I’m personally not keen on polyamory. (please don’t burn me on a stake)

Kaede||Shuichi: Saimatsu BROTP; in fact, they refer to each other by first name. I didn’t want this to be an “OTP” here since Saimatsu was mostly set up and situational in-game because of Shuichi’s codependency and Kaede’s desire to break him out of his shell, though undeniably they do have a really good chemistry together. Really, I love Saimatsu just-- let them explore their options. (I’m also just bitter I couldn’t flirt more using Kaede after Chapter 1 ;w;)

Kaede|Kirumi: I’m not inconspicuous about it actually lol idk I just see a good chemistry between them. Also, think of the mom jokes since they’re both the class moms. And while my comics tend to jump back and forth chronologically, if I was going to write a fic– their relationship is a slow burn with lots of pining

Shuichi|Kokichi: Their love hotel scene oh my god Kokichi really has it bad and that little liar is a good match for Sai, he facilitated his growth in a (twisted) way but this is an AU so yeah. Beforehand, Kokichi has a slight interest in Rantaro.

Maki|Kaito: This is a canon-ish ship that had a weird development too, but again, they have a nice chemistry too. I wanna explore that normal, potential development between them (also, I’m not sayin they’re both necessarily straight coz this is a straight ship lol).

Himiko|Tenko: There’s just… a lot of potential cuteness in them, even though they were kind of dysfunctional in canon. The fact that they’re polar opposites when it comes to physical activities gives me enough cannon fodder for their tandem. And Himiko being involved with Tenko can really help her a lot (like when the latter’s death in-game impacted her so much).

Kaito||Kokichi: Sort of a Oumota reference lol Chapter 5 gave me an inkling of their dynamics together and it was nice to see that Kaito gave Kokichi a leap of faith despite all his atrocities. So, I think they’d be good friends in the AU, just laced with a lot of badmouthing and insulting each other.

Rantaro||Tsumugi: Mastermind and Survivor solidarity~ They’re good friends in middle school before entering HPA.

Miu||Keebo: They’re both socially inept techie nerds sitting at the back of the class so finding friendship with each other isn’t far from happening. I lowkey shipped them in the game but I haven’t decided in this AU yet~

buanyway as I obsessively play the talent development plan mode (+monokuma’s test) I can’t not think about an au that’s basically that but More because I have a problem. Thoughts so far:

-So like the Talent Development Plan everyone’s just students at HPA, and there’s no despair apocalypse. But everyone’s in the same year (I assume that’s the implication of being able to talk to any of them throughout the whole 3 years).

-HPA is still studying talent but like, they’re less bonkers about it. Like, still maybe a bit ethically questionable at times, but definitely not conducting illegal human experiments in the basement this time. But they will happily teach other people’s former human experiment subjects. Also, rules about ultimate talents are a little more lax - you can have multiple people with the same shsl title. And we’re gonna say there’s one shsl luck per homeroom instead of just per year.

-For our characters’ year there are 4 homerooms, 16 students per homeroom.

-Classroom A is the NDRV3 gang, with the shsl versions of themselves being the real versions of themselves. Some changes to backstories are in order - like Kirumi is still a super maid but she’s probably not the de-facto prime minister of Japan, and like i’m keeping in my order for the same changes to kork’s background that I ranted about before, etc - but they’re personalities are basically the same. Rantaro is the class’s shsl luck since survivor isn’t an applicable position, but he still does a shsl amount of traveling and adventuring. Maki is definitely listed as the shsl child caregiver. Miu is probably actually an augmented human but records on illegal experiments are sketchy at best.

-Classroom A is definitely barely contained chaos at all times, with Kaito and/or Kaede doing most of the containing. “Or” because neither of them are immune to being baited into the fray. Homeroom teacher is Koichi Kizakura, which is no help in controlling the situation.

-Classroom C is the SDR2 crew, -Hajime and +Sato (who is not in the goddamn reserve course goddamnit). Chiaki’s a real person a la DR3. I hated that and them being one homeroom class in DR3 but this plot isn’t going to DR1/SDR2 so it’s fine.

-Chisa is their homeroom teacher. Class C is a lively and dynamic bunch, and they most notably have most serious drama. When someone has a problem with someone else shit gets real really really fast.

-Classroom B is my B-sides, aka hpa students from other DR media that I want in here. Hajime and Izuru are not actually B-sides but they’re in this class. otherwise, current roster includes Yasuke Matsuda, the weird octuplets from dr0 but they only count as one student because they are pretending to be one student as the shsl bodyguard, the student council president from dr0, ryota mitarai, and natsumi kuzuryu (who is also definitely not in the reserve course!! Fuck you!). Also, I don’t actually know anything about what’s canon for santa shikiba, but unless something makes me decide otherwise I’m gonna stick him in here. Also, in naegi makoto’s worst day ever or whatever that was called, there was a female student originally selected to be shsl luck instead of him, and I don’t know if she actually had a name but in any case I’m gonna use that tiny bit of obscure trivia to build a character to be this class’s shsl luck. Which brings me to 9 people, so I’ve still gotta come up with some - probably gonna review the student council to pull some from there, and also see if I can think of anyone else.

-Hajime and Izuru are different people for the sake of having them both available like in the talent development plan. Though i haven’t actually played as either of them, so I don’t know if there’s any sort of explanation given/if they’re ever implied to exist at the same time. Current convoluted story I’ve come up with for my au is they’re identical twins, and they were born conjoined at the head. At some point they were surgically separated and Hajime was fine, but Izuru was not. At which point some sketchy (but incredibly skilled) neuroscientist on the surgery team was like, hey, this is the perfect opportunity. And so maybe he kidnaps Izuru after faking his death or maybe not but in any case he DOES step in to try save Izuru’s brain but also like, make him a superhuman genius talent machine at the same time, because why not. I’m thinking the kidnapping thing because maybe it’s a longer experiment that involves multiple surgeries and raising the kid in a specific way and also changing his name to izuru kamukura before he’s eventually stopped and izuru is returned to his birth family and it’s all very awkward. But anyway, the other point is that Hajime still doesn’t have a shsl talent, but he gets an exception to attend HPA’s main course because this is the more lax HPA and if there’s anything better for research than and augmented genius human, it’s an augmented genius human with a non-augmented identical twin. It’s still maybe a bit too convoluted though. Also I haven’t decided if they wear the normal HPA uniform or if Hajime has to wear the reserve course uniform and so Izuru wears it too, because fuck you (and then in the meta level I get 2 maintain that classic izuru aesthetic).

-Idk who the homeroom teacher is for Class B but former hpa student Miaya Gekkogahara is definitely employed as an assistant teacher for them. It is definitely on purpose that the ex-shsl therapist and the shsl neurologist are in the classroom with Izuru and Hajime. Anyway, other students sometimes find this class intimidating/scary, but that’s just because there are several intense aloof/arrogant assholes in the class and one snake person, or snerson, that seems capable of being in too many places at once.

-Classroom D is just the DR1 gang. I can’t decide if Junko is like herself but not obsessed with despair or if she’s like herself but not determined to cause the apocalypse, just invested in her personal despair. Also mukuro definitely gets to attend class as herself, not disguised as Junko like in the talent development plan that did not want to make her a new set of sprites just for their bonus game.

-Their homeroom teacher is the phys. ed teacher that makes a couple appearances in DR3. Class D notably becomes a very close friend group. The other students mostly don’t notice day-to-day, except if a) you go to talk to someone in their homeroom before class begins and you have this inexplicable feeling like you’re intruding or b) it’s the school festival or some other event that pits homeroom-based teams against each other. Class D gets reeeeaaaaallly intense at these competitions (and works together frighteningly smoothly).

After reading so much of ur metas about how Ouma isn't evil and is very caring and empathic, I forgot something. Ouma sees the killing game as a, well game right? But I'm not sure why or if that's really true. If anything, due to his hatred against killing, wouldn't he be the one most against seeing the killing game as an actual game? And wasn't it stated that Ouma was the first character to see the killing game as an actual game? Idk why this but that feels important.. or maybe it's not?

This is a really good point to bring up anon, and a greatquestion! If it seems like Ouma’s stance as a whole on the killing game andgames in general is a bit contradictory, it’s because… well, it is!

Ouma is a pretty contradictory character overall. Ratherthan being solely a “good person” or a “bad person,” he’s a well-intentionedperson aiming to end the killing game but willing to do extremely morallyquestionable things in order to do so. He claims he “hates jokes and lies” onseveral occasions, yet at the same time embraces them and in fact needs “gentle lies” in order to cope withthe harshness of reality. Considering that almost the entirety of his design ispresented in “blacks” and “whites,” it’s highly ironic that he himself as acharacter is largely morally grey.

He does view the killing game as a game to be played andwon. Kodaka also did confirm that he’s the first character in the series to doso. And yet, it’s also true that he resents the suffering and killing he andhis classmates are subjected to, and hates the audience and the ringleader bothfor getting off to it all. This discrepancy is something that’s alluded to insome of the earlier chapters, and is shown the most prominently in Chapters 4and 5, with his whole “I’m the big evil ringleader” speech.

A large part of it boils down to the rift between the façadeOuma wears in front of his classmates, and his true feelings and intentionsabout things. In-game, there’s rarely a moment we see him with his façade loweredentirely. Even when he does put his act on hold for a few moments, or let a fewglimpses show of what he’s thinking, it’s largely because he knows the othercharacters will just think he’s lying anyway (and something Kodaka knew theplayers would think, too).

That façade is something Ouma wears very deliberately, likea mask, in order to pursue his objectives. A lot of his dialogue even early onheavily implies that he’s not having nearly as much fun as he pretends to,despite claiming to enjoy the killing game so much. One of the NISAlocalization lines that I really enjoyed from Chapter 1 so far was the linewhere he advises Saihara to just “hit the reset button on his feelings” inorder to be “happy and cheerful” again. The line stood out to me quite a lotconsidering Chapter 5 already all but confirms Ouma was pretty much beating hisreal feelings down with a stick while pretending to enjoy himself immensely thewhole time.

There’s also his speech in Chapter 2, when Saihara asks himwhy he had Gonta capture them all and bring them to his lab. He goes on a longrant about how games should “only be played in hard mode,” and how he “doesn’tuse the run-away option ever in an RPG.” He states pretty much word for wordthat he doesn’t just want to make it through the killing game, he wants to completelyovercome it and win (I think the localization went with “crush it,” which isalso pretty good).

He also drops quite a few other hints in this speech, includingthe fact that “death games like this are impossible to clear unless you makeyourself get excited about them.” He also says that he figured there was “nopoint in complaining,” so he decided to “look on the bright side and have funwith it.” This pretty much summarizes a lot of his mindset pre-Chapter 4, in myopinion. He very decidedly wanted to put an end to the killing game pretty muchfrom the start—and he also decided to try tackling it as a game in order topsych himself up about it.

The flashback scenes Momota provides in the Chapter 5post-trial also confirm that Ouma’s decision to view the whole situation as agame was little more than a coping mechanism in order for him to continuemaking progress. He directly states that it was “a lie he had to tell himself,or else he couldn’t have survived.”

Ndrv3 deals heavily with the idea of “lies” that eventually “become”reality as long as everyone believes they’re true. As a result, I think Ouma’s “lie”to himself was at least half-parts true. While he did hate killing andsuffering, and while he did want the killing game to end, I think theredefinitely was a part of him that enjoyed the hurdles and challenges of thekilling game from a game theory perspective.

His ability to maneuver strategically and treat things as agame is one reason I’m still fairly convinced his real talent might besomething along the lines of SHSL Chessmaster, or some variation anyway.Considering his design (the scarf especially), his name (made up of thecharacters for “King” and “Horse”), the emphasis Kodaka put on him as someonewho thinks of things in terms of “games,” and the fact that his ability to readand guess his classmates’ behaviors and dialogue reads very similarly toguessing an opponent’s move in a game, all signs point to the fact that he did,to some degree, think of things in very logical, practical terms. Again, thisis an extremely contradictory point to his very empathetic side, and is part ofwhat makes him all the more complex as a character.

In the Chapter 2 trial, Ouma has yet another speech that’spretty enlightening about his behavior, particularly when it comes to hisparanoia and way of viewing the killing game. He states that “in order toexpose a liar, you have to corner them psychologically”—it’s clear to see thenthat he definitely was playing the game by trying to read his opponents’ movesand putting himself in their shoes. This kind of chessboard thinking is yetanother common part of his game theory mindset; it’s exactly what he does lateron, trying to expose the ringleader by pretending to be the ringleader and forcing them to make a mistake with theirlies.

By Chapter 4, after forcing Miu and Gonta to die in order toavoid dying himself (and in order to avoid everyone else getting killed in theclass trial), I do think Ouma was extremely disgusted with that part ofhimself, however. What had seemed like a dangerous but maneuverable game forthe first few chapters became all-around horrible for everyone involved when hewas forced to stain his hands. Knowing that he and DICE were morally againstkilling makes the fact that he saw no other recourse in Chapter 4 other than tosacrifice two lives all the more striking—particularly when he has anopportunity to do the same exact thing to Momota and Maki both in Chapter 5 butopts to die willingly instead, unable to bring himself to make those kinds ofsacrifices a second time.

Ouma’s villain speech in the Chapter 4 post-trial reads withquite a lot of self-loathing on a reread. It’s hard not to look at his lineabout how he’s “someone who enjoys watching people suffer for no reason” andsee that he’s drawing more than a few similarities with himself and the killinggame audience that he hates so much. In forcing himself to act the part of thevillain, he was very well aware by that point that he had crossed too manylines to be uncrossed, and felt, in his opinion at least, that he was no betterthan the ringleader that he was trying to stop.

To sum it all up, he’s a huge mess of walking contradictionsfrom start to finish. He’s both shrewd and clumsy, analytical and childish,self-sacrificing and annoyingly bratty and self-serving. It’s very true that hedoes view the killing game through the lens of a much bigger game overall,which is one of the many things that helps him catch on to the fact that it’sall supposed to be a show for an audience to view much, much earlier thananyone else. He’s definitely able to think of even his classmates in terms of “pawns”or “sacrifices” to be made, as Chapter 4 shows—but it’s just as true that hedeeply resented this part of himself whenever those sacrifices grew too great,and that much of his talk about “enjoying” the game was a lie to help movehimself forward.

~ It was quite late into the night and Saihara was just finishing up something, his S/O is already asleep and his son was too well that is what he thought

~ He let go of his hand so that his son could get back into his bed, he quietly asked him if he could tuck himself in

~ The small child got back into bed wondering what his father was going to do, Saihara took ahold of his hand again and started to hum for a bit to relax his son to make him drowsy

~ He then started to quietly sing a lullaby even though it was quite calm and rather hushed it was still hearable since it was heard by tiny ears which had the effect of making him sleepy with his eyes starting to slowly close

~ It took a couple of lullabies until he was properly asleep but it was worth it

~ Saihara carefully got up letting go of his son’s hand and putting it in a comfortable position and walked out of the bedroom back into the corridor

~ He was smiling softly as he didn't think that would've worked as well as he thought it would be but he is glad nonetheless

Kokichi Ouma (Daughter)

~ He was already getting ready to head to bed himself until he heard some creaking outside of his and S/O’s room, he saw his door open a little bit and heard a faint gasp

~ The only person it can be was his daughter, C/N who was hiding behind the door after being caught by her father

~ Faint mumbles and footsteps could be heard from the other side and he wondered why on earth his daughter was awake at this time of night

~ So Ouma opened the door to find a very tired young girl on the other side with her teddy, she was obviously wanting something as she waited for a response to why she was up while she timidly held her teddy bear close to her chest

~ Her father asked her why she was up so late since it was way past her normal bedtime and she is not usually up at this time

~ She explains that she had trouble sleeping and she thought that her parents could help her which Ouma smirked and asked her if she wanted to hear him sing a lullaby

~ With a slight nod she smiled brightly at him even though he was joking about it but he couldn't back off now so he guided her back to her room through the dark hallway

~ He turned on her light so they both can see what they were actually doing and C/N got into her bed all tucked in while Ouma was beside her

~ He coughed playfully for a bit which made her giggle a bit and started to sing her a lullaby which made her calm

~ It finally soothed her into a sleep which brought a smile on Ouma’s face and he tip toed out hoping that she would stay asleep throughout the night

~ He gently closed the door and sighed in relief surprised that actually did work and headed back to his room so he could sleep beside his S/O until the morning

Rantarou Amami (Son)

~ It was quite late for him even he would admit that and he thought no one else was awake at this moment of time

~ He was laying down on the couch as he was just staring at the ceiling thinking about how he should head to bed soon since it was rather late and his S/O has already gone upstairs

~ That was until he heard footsteps coming down the stairs which he thought was his S/O but when he turned around he was greeted to his son who looked like he had bags under his eyes

~ After some minutes of awkward staring, Amami told C/N to sit down on the couch with him to explain why he was up at the time

~ He understood immediately when he heard words along the line of not being able to sleep properly and sighed

~ Noticing that his son looked tired and wanted to sleep but couldn't he thought of ways to help him go to sleep and decided it was best to sing him a lullaby because why not?

~ Helping his son up he held his hand while walking to his bedroom along the darkness of their home and Amami opened the door and signaled something that meant to get into bed and C/N followed

~ After getting himself tucked into bed, C/N asked his father of what was he going to do and with that question Amami muttered something before he started to hum quietly

~ He then started to sing a little lullaby he knew and get singing it until he saw that his son was fully asleep and snoring away into his dreams

~ Pleased with his work, Amami chuckled quietly before leaving the room without almost any noise and shut the door trying his best not to make a huge ruckus with it

~ He then proceeded to head to his own room where he slowly got changed headed to bed, falling asleep with listening to the faint sounds he can hear out of the window and the view of the trees swaying almost silently as well

Kaito Momota (Son)

~ He is normally up at this time of his daily routine of star gazing is scheduled pretty late but he didn't expect his son just casually sitting there on the sofa when he got back, at first he thought it was just a intruder a very small one at least but when his son turned around in fear

~ Yup that's definitely his son, It is 100% C/N not some intruder that was breaking into their house

~ But this brought up some more questions

~ Now he’s completely confused of why C/N up way later than usual and not in his bed, so he just sits down next to him on the couch and wraps an arm around him asking the question why aren't you in bed that sort of thing

~ He gets it when his son says he couldn't sleep and hasn't been sleeping or not well anyway for the past two days which is a major concern since he needs his sleep!

~ It takes a while of thinking of an idea to help his son get to sleep since every idea he tells him, C/N shoots it down by saying he has already tried that but then Kaito gets it

~ He carefully walks upstairs with his son on his shoulders trying not to make the stairs creak because no one wants noise at midnight, he continues to walk to the familiar door that belonged to C/N’s room and opened it and placed him on the bed

~ Sitting down himself on the floor, he helped tuck his son in while starting to sing a lullaby he knew, while singing he patted his son’s head and scuffed his hair a bit before he noticed that the lullaby was working since he saw two small eyes closing slowly but surely getting there

~ Once his son dropped off, he chuckled to him of how cute his son was and headed out of the room shutting the door as quiet as he could

~ Then he started to head to the room he and his S/O shared, got ready and fell asleep

~ He had to sing the lullaby a couple more times before his son was sleeping perfectly again which made Kaito proud of himself

Ryoma Hoshi (Daughter)

~ It was pretty normal for him to be just relaxing on the couch late into the night, it kind of came a routine that he did

~ He wasn't expecting anyone else to be down here but that's when he heard something in the kitchen he groggily got up and checked it out turning on all the lights to see his daughter with knocked over pots around her

~ An eyebrow is raised in utter confusion as his daughter tries to put the pots back while she's shaking and Hoshi stops her before putting them back himself and telling her to follow him to the living room

~ They both just sit down and he asks what he needs to know and apparently she sneaked down because she couldn't get to sleep and managed to get herself into the kitchen before knocking some pots over and hence that incident

~ He’s kind of surprised he didn't hear her come downstairs and see her head to the kitchen but he guesses he wasn't paying that much attention to his surroundings

~ More importantly about this problem C/N is having about not sleeping, hmmm

~ He has struggled with sleeping before so it's nothing new to him but how to make her go to sleep was something he didn't know

~ I mean he could always sing her a lullaby but that couldn't work, could it? Well she seems to like the idea of that so up the go upstairs as they head to C/N’s room as she’s ready to tuck herself in to hear her father sing her a lullaby

~ And hence he starts to sing a lullaby from the top of his head which seems to please C/N since after a while of singing different lullabies she had fell asleep

~ He was surprised that actually worked since he guessed it would've taken a lot more to get her to sleep but apparently not

~ But he’s fine with it as along as his kid is sleeping as happily as ever he's happy with it too

~ After that little commotion he heads to bed himself since it's about time he did so and just heads to sleep but lays there for a while looking at the ceiling thinking before finally getting some shut eye

Gonta Gokuhara (Daughter)

~ He was just about to head to bed with it being so late after his daily night walk to see the different kind of bugs which appeared at night, he was just getting tucked in before he heard some knocking at the door which belonged to his and S/O’s room

~ He wondered who it could be thinking it was some intruder but he opened the door to see his daughter there looking down at the floor

~ Concerned he kneeled down to her level and hugged her and quietly questioned why she was still up with panic in his tone in case something bad happened to her that he didn't realise just yet

~ After learning what was wrong with her he calmed down since she wasn't hurt but has been having sleeping problems which turned into an worry since that means his daughter hasn't been getting enough sleep that she needs

~ He comforted her for a while before an idea popped into his head, he told her that he would try to sing her a lullaby if that would help

~ She agreed to that so they both headed down the corridor to a small comfy room where a little bed was messed up but was neatened when C/N tucked herself back in

~ Gonta sat down next to her bed and held her hand before he started to sing a lullaby quite slowly so he didn't mess up

~ After a couple of minutes passed by, he heard some snoring which meant that C/N was asleep which made Gonta happy, he let go of her hand and stood up carefully as he could to walked out of the room

~ He went back to his own room and tucked himself in hoping that his daughter could sleep well for the rest of the night and keeping note of the lullaby that seemed to put her to sleep if she had any trouble trying to sleep again

Kiibo (Son)

~ He notices beforehand that his son looks more sleepy than usual so he just casually asked if he was getting any sleep which C/N shakes his head meaning a no

~ This made Kiibo quite panicky since he knows that children needs their sleep especially at a young age

~ So he offers many things that might help him go to sleep right before he goes upstairs to bed which his son turns down since he has already tried them before and he was unsuccessful

~ Then he says that he could sing him a lullaby which he knows he is bad at but hey it could work and he hears his son mumble that he hasn't tried that yet since why would you sing a lullaby to yourself so they both head upstairs together

~ Kiibo holds C/N’s hand all the way to the child's bedroom and opens the door for him which C/N removes his hand from his father’s and goes and tucks himself in with a very tired expression on his face

~ Nervously Kiibo grabs a chair from somewhere in C/N’s room and coughs awkwardly before sitting down on it to prepare singing the lullaby to his son

~ He starts and he just goes with it to be honest which he is not quite fond of his supposedly singing voice but if it's the only way it'll put his child to sleep so be it

~ Two eyes starts to flutter shut after about three lullabies in a row which makes Kiibo quite relieved since he managed to get his son to sleep

~ He puts the chair back to its original place and heads out to find a giggling S/O near C/N’s bedroom which means they obviously heard him singing which makes him very pink

Korekiyo Shinguuji (Daughter)

~ It was quite late at night and he was already in bed with a lamp by his bedside table reading a book until he heard some footsteps from outside his room

~ Closing the book and putting it on said bedside table he walked over to the door and opened it to see his daughter heading downstairs but stopping when she hears a familiar voice asking her what she was doing

~ She turns around and walks over towards her father nervous since she has just been caught and stood there in silence so he asked again which eventually he got a response of the lines of not being able to sleep

~ He chuckled as he gently took his daughter’s hand and headed straight to her bedroom which made C/N confused of why her father was bringing her to her room and not telling her off for being up this late

~ Since the door was already open they both trotted inside and Korekiyo helped his daughter into her bed and tucking her in as well, C/N asked him what he was going to do and he responded with saying that he was going to sing a lullaby he knew since that'll help her sleep

~ He sat down on the floor and started to sing softly with a calm tone which made C/N more sleepy at the minute

~ At the end of the first lullaby she was already asleep which made Korekiyo chuckle to himself before getting himself up and carefully closing the door to not to disturb his daughter’s slumber

~ He proceeded to go back to his room which his shared with his S/O who was soundly asleep as well and climbed into bed as well, grabbing some of the quilt and turning off the lamp he left on when he went out of his room

~ It was a pretty peaceful night after that little incident but that was fine, Korekiyo continued to sing lullabies to his daughter anytime she couldn't sleep

MAN I feel like I'm in the minority when it comes to the NDRV3 ending because I actually liked it? LIKE DON'T GET ME WRONG THE ENDING WAS DUMB but I'm guessing, for me at least, the good parts outweighed the bad parts? Idk I heard that the ending was bad even before witnessing it myself so I was expecting THE ABSOLUTE WORST but I came out of it feeling fine. IDK I FIND STUFF LIKE THAT INTERESTING

I’ll be honest, and I’ve said this before but, the v3 ending was not nearly as bad as I was expecting but it was still…not great.

I definitely see why people would like it, though. Personally the things that niggle at me niggle at me too much to praise it wholeheartedly and downplay the flaws.

Not to mention it requires you to fixate entirely on the theme and message and ignore the logistics. Some works can do that for me such as Your Name, but this one failed spectacularly at that. Still, if you can do that here, then more power to ya. V3 still ain’t brilliant storytelling mind you. It feels more like a draft if anything. I really, seriously felt like this game needed more time behind it.

I did like some things like… Saihara. Saihara was good. The performance by Megumi Hayashibara was fantastic. Love her.

Dream Danganronpa 6: Hope’s Name is also good.

Another one of those Update(tm) Posts

I feel compelled to make this, so here we go! We’re entering the final crunch of the semester, and I’ve got some days I’m working coming up as well, so here’s how things are playing out (or how I imagine they’ll play out).

Baines MMBC. Poll closed yesterday, don’t think I’m going to film today. I might save that for tomorrow or Sunday, or even during the week. Episodes will come out when I have the time, meaning they might not fall neatly on the weekends.

Newton LEPacy. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard this name, but it’ll be back in the near future. I binge-played it a few weeks ago to get Marina’s generation started, so when I post, it’ll be a Gen 5-runup before the generation starts. Won’t be posting until I’m comfortably through most or all of Gen 5, however, so I won’t lose interest in it again.

Simsmas Gift. To tell you the truth, I’ve been spending a lot of my time working on prep for this. It’s a lot to do, but really fun at the same time! I’m not sure how I want to do it, since my first thought was to do a “Twelve Days of Simsmas”, with a new gift each day starting on the 14th of December and ending on the 25th. May end up starting later, or just as one big gift. Idk yet.

Stardew Valley. While ending NDRV3 I started to get back into Stardew Valley! That’s another thing I’m doing right now as well.

favorite muse(s) you’ve written: @eirikc is still currently my favorite, but a muse that I’ve really enjoyed was probably some of my DR muses.

what inspired you to take on your current muse (that you are posting this on): Well, I didn’t know how this was gonna turn out, but I remember getting interested in Sacred Stones because I ended up pulling an Eirika from the Princess Box from way back when Heroes was still just a baby. I honestly had really no clue who she was so I ended up deciding to try out FE8 via my VBA, since I had the time and I was really curious about the older FE games (since I got into FE via stealing my little brother’s copy of Awakening) and honestly I just? fell in love with Eirika as a character. And decided to jump the gun a little, making a blog for her without having even finished the game, but honestly it was a journey for me, learning how to write her character while having a fresh image of her character in my head as I played along was a really nice experience. 

Eirika is a very inspiring person to me, someone who never gives up even with the odds stacked against her, even when she’s taken advantage of, she still keeps her heart in the right place, and grows from it. She’s a very strong person, admittedly someone that I look up to her character traits, and one of my favorite fictional characters ever.

what’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: I don’t really have a lot of ‘inspiration’ from writing as much as I do with art, but I’d just say all of my friends? They’re all wonderful in their own ways and I think it’s a great community to surround myself with and help to inspire each other.

favorite types of threads: I’m not rly picky? Shoot for the stars, follow your dreams type of person, so nothing is really something that I’m against anything, if I had to pick something it’d probably be just threads with interesting dynamics, with the characters working really well off each other, and make things that would be normal more interesting.

biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: MMMM If anything I’d say I struggle most with finding good ways to interact with characters without making them too awkward, especially with most of my interactions being with characters outside fe8, it puts my muse in a more situational spot where Eirika really isn’t in her comfort zone, and finding reasons for characters to interact I guess? Idk if that’s a good struggle but it’s something I face.
