Okay phew I think I'm almost out of the Tutorial Stage of the game? Let's hit some of the important stuff.

While exploring, found a TV World Replica of Saki's family's business and got attacked by shadows, so yep, we have a persona and we use it by destroying a card. Again, it's very edgelord, but I did prefer the Evokers, but again: this game seems to be going for other stuff thematically, so it's fine.

Also the animation of Reverie's first summon was pretty good. And our battle music is def okay. It's not FeMC's theme, but its good.

Teddie immediately callin' us Sensei for being so neat and cool. Flattery will get you everywhere, buddy, and by "everywhere" i mean "still ranking higher than Chie on the tier list."

Exploring TV World--

does it ever get a name? In P3 we had Tartarus-cum-"Tower of Demise." TV World is kind of meh. We need something stylish and cool and fitting into the mythological kitchen sink of MegaTen.

I may be a little bit obsessed with that one meta that said that, in regards to Tilda, Aloy represents the side of Lis that was confident and willful, while Beta represents the side of Lis that was more fearful and insecure, the one she tried to hide, and that's why Tilda wanted Aloy and not Beta. Anyways (and yes this is actually an OC post, surprise!) I wonder what would happen if we applied the same principles to the Marukis :)

Artekai is clearly Takuto's spirit of rebellion. His stubbornness. His persistence. His righteous indignation at all the injustices that have been committed against him and the people he loves. His will to do what he believes is right no matter the cost. His desire for recognition and respect for his ideals. His willingness to sacrifice everything for his goals. His martyr complex. I definitely think it's worth noting how at some point they both believed they had been literally chosen by the universe to fix the world.

Now, it gets trickier with QT because QT has no redeeming qualities and Takuto is the perfect man ever. But some might say that QT represents Takuto's authoritarian tendencies. His controlling behavior. His insistence that He Knows Best. His pursuit of a society where everyone is perfect and happy literally all of the time, and his dissatisfaction with anything lesser than that. If it doesn't fit his idealized view of the world, it's a flaw in the system and must be corrected.

But it's also about the loosening of his moral compass, about believing that the end justifies the means, about letting your desire for peace and order corrupt you and all that you stand for. I think it's monumental that QT compares Londra to Azathoth when he first sees him (rip Azathoth. If someone compares you to Londra you should simply kill them.)

If QT is law and Artekai is chaos, then I guess they can still be Megaten characters despite being twice removed :) idk I've never played it. But I heard there's stuff about law and chaos in there. Yea

im a fan of everything megaten and its my main fandom! all my old art is still on my twt, im into all persona games (primarily p2 duology, theyre my favs <3, p3 is a close second fav), all mainline smt (primarily iv apoc and 1) + dds, desum, sh, desu, raidou kuzunoha and more + spinoffs! Saw that you liked Digital devil saga, what would you say your favorite character would be and general impressions you had of them?

Though I’m also curious about your experiences with the game as well, DDS is probably my favorite megaten games along side SMT 2. The style of the PS2 era SMT games are one of my favorites as it really portrays Kanako’s art style (which I collect anything embedded with his art).

Would have to say my favorite DDS Character is 100% Cielo, he is my husband fr. The English dub always confused with sudden accent when he like “awakens to his awareness” I suppose is how I would work it. But his goofy self is so cute.

I always did wonder what happened to his IRL counterpart but amusing with what happened to the other children in that project, I think it’s safe to say what happened to this poor individual 😔.

Among other games where the demon artist was active, I also enjoyed Devil Summoner Raido Kuzunoha. I do miss his character-design in the newer games, but I guess Soejima's art goes better with the times.

I have only ever played the english versions, that's why I don't know what parts they butchered, but I can only imagine. Still, I enjoyed it all and cried.

My two favorite characters are Gale and Argilla. They both have amazing VA's and I love the angst and tragedy surrounding them.

Argilla was pretty much love at first sight and after the game progressed, I mostly felt sorry for her, but yeah, she fits my type: nurturing, badass female characters.

Gale I didn't like at first, but when his feelings awakened, daaamn. It turned around quite quickly. I enjoyed his interactions with Cielo a lot.

What I found quite creepy was Heat's obsession with Sera. It's a 12-year old 🙈

but i’m enjoying playing kirby games lately! i think the lore is interesting but i’m still kinda new to it and don’t know much. i’m currently playing forgotten land and hope to play more games after it! i don’t really consider this a “fandom” though since i don’t care for shipping or and i don’t have brainworms for any specific character.

i’ve also recently enjoyed megami tensei (specifically, shin megami tensei V) and always have at least a passing interest in the series. megami tensei 2, persona 2, and shin megami tensei 1 have the most staying power for me. megaten and devilman are probably my “forever interests” even though i can go a while without touching them. in general i like nintendo games and RPGs!

What really kills me about the Woman's Encyclopedia is the Walker chooses to make Kali the "triple goddess" of hinduism even though Shakti would've been a much better choice for it as an actual tripartite female divine entity that is also a much bigger presence in hindu religion than Kali (even if the whole "archetypal triple goddess" thing is still bullshit)... and honestly, i feel the most likely reason for this is literally Kali's depition in Indiana Jones.

Kali being viewed as some grand central figure of hinduism rather than a specific aspect of Parvati is a broader new age phenomenon I think, influenced mostly by “scandalous” accounts from the british colonial period, but given Walker’s research - or lack thereof - I wouldn’t rule out your joke as the real explanation of what’s happening here. Also I can’t believe you didn’t mention her baffling “Kali-Cunti” spelling, a poor excuse for a wordplay which Walker probably saw as clever or inspired but which borders on being intentionally morbidly offensive Some of my other personal “favorites” from WE not covered in @/eirijkrs’ posts about its impact on megaten are: -claiming Ahriman was originally “the Vedic god Aryaman, maker of "Aryans"”; Ahriman was Zoroaster’s personal invention, and has nothing to do with the Vedic Aryaman; as a matter of fact, the Vedic god is present in Zoroastrianism as Erman, a yazata in the exact same role as he had in the Vedas - that of a personification of friendship (source). Equating him with Ahriman is like insisting thought and tough are the same word... The Ishtar/Ashtar situation imo actually still warrants further splitting because neither of them is who Astaroth is derived from but I have a sneaking suspicion that if even mainstream scholarship often has problems with handling Ashtart/Astarte (ex. bible scholar obsession with claiming she was connected to or even conflated with Asherah which is... highly dubious; see Wiggins' A Reassessment of Asherah monograph for what's afaik the only detailed summary of the issue) a modern megaten take would be more horrendous than IVA Inanna. Still, separate Ishtar and Ashtart makes more sense than separate Ishtar and Inanna

So just imagine if in SMT2 Astarte was in Ishtar's place. Pretty cool, right? But then, after years of clamoring, Ishtar is added in SMT4A and you'll know how that goes. So what I'm saying is that everything would be the same except slightly better because the actual goddess subject to biblical polemic, and thus the fancy of later European demonologists, would be correctly named.

But yeah, say they correct this nowadays--the only Doi female design that's not ridiculous to some degree or doesn't depend on boobies is Red Lady! Who, because of the leaked trailer that happened as I was writing this, is also kinda sexualized! So Doi is like 0/10 on that front.

As it stands – do not control my character. Unless agreed upon or for scenery changes aka moving from one place to another. For the sake of timeskips, scene skips, etc this is fine.

Relationships: 

Don’t just assume a certain relationship to my character. You can always ask me and I’m totally fine if your character knows mine, especially if you're Black – or Overwatch, just don't expect them to be official lovers, friends or family. Everything else? Is fine. I won't forbid you to have a purely visuals based crush on Feral, for example. He has one on a certain Blackwatch member too, so there's that.

Please don't be intimidated by me. I'm as scared of you, as you are of me – probably more even.

On writing

Selectivity:

I'd love to write with everyone but my anxious mind and horrible self-perception causes me to turtle and avoid reaching out. Even more so if a try for interaction ends in being ignored. So, if you want to write with me – are interested in Feral, by all means, come at me, send a meme, as random as it may be as long as it isn't romance or smut related I'll figure something out – and likely return to bother you later on. Still, all things combined I can be counted as semi-selective.

Universes/Alternative Universes/Crossovers

Given Feral is already – in one way or another – an AU version of my main RP character I'll limit interactions to the Overwatch universe and/or my AU verses listed under verses. If your character still works in these scenarios – as in for Overwatch a somewhat dystopian futuristic setting that I always feel hesitant to call Cyberpunk, you're more than welcome! Just please don't be upset if Feral might call your Robot character an Omnic.

More on verses

As it is now I operate on the following principle: Each version of Feral has one main verse. What this means? Everything that happens in the Blackwatch Era is in one Universe, everything that happens in the Recall universe is also one universe, and so on.

Duplicates

If I ever happen to get into the situation to RP with duplicates of canon characters, I'll break the former rule and set up multiple verses to the time era. I might then set up Mains though.

Activity

Hi, I'm slow and my mental health is giving me hell. Together with my other problems I tend to not get myself motivated to write, so when I say I'm slow, I mean I'm really, really slow. My sense of time is all kinds of fucked up and 90 days can feel like a week to me when it comes to writing. I'm sorry about that. I'm not disinterested, just fucked up.

Length:

From one line to paragraphs it really depends, on my mood, the alignment of the moon, how much something triggers Feral basically. Most of my writing is his thoughts because I like exploring those, so if you are one of those 'If I can't hear it anyways it doesn't belong into the RP' kinda people, you won't be happy here. You don't have to match my eventual wall of text anyways – as long as it feels like you put effort into it, that is.

Shipping with Feral?

Is easier than you might expect – and oh so much harder than it will seem. He crushes easily, if you're after bedding him? Just be nice and he'll offer himself up anyways just to make your character stay. Pursuing romance however is a completely different deal. Your muse will have to work for it. It takes time, understanding and care. At least for the Blackwatch version. And due to the timeline of the blog, he will have lost your character one way or another in the Recall verse. Which is likely rather unlovable.

As a general note? Shipping is only enabled for Blackwatch Feral but I won't deny you the fun of trying to get Recall Feral back if you managed to win over his younger version

Feral is polyamorous. So if you're fine with polyamorous ships? Great! He likely won't have a problem with it. If you are not. Your character will have to explain it to him. So unless that conversation has been held, all ships will be in the same verse! Unless with duplicates of course.

How to pursue a ship:

See if the characters work out, just let it flow. Be courageous. If your muse tries to make a move on Feral and he doesn't want to, he will let you know. While it's really nice that people come to me and ask “would ship xyz work?”, I kinda feel like it's betraying the character. I'd rather let Feral have the choice than me.

Other blabla:

Feral's opinions aren't mine. Seperate RP from real life – meaning, if he hates your character, we could still be good friends.

I'm really awkward. I have a hard time talking to people unless they clicked with me or it is about one of my obsessions. Those being shadowrun, megaten, dragon age and some random animes I watched. But even those might not work at times.
