I had a dream last night that I was trying to translate something into Italian and I discovered that Google Translate had added several languages that weren't,,, actually languages?

Like they had one called 'Neurotypical' that took cryptic double-meanings and made them straight-forward, and they had one called 'Corporate' that translated bureaucratic bullshit into plain words, but the one that I remember most clearly was called 'Passive-Aggressive Asshole,' and it looked like this -

In the dream I also put in "You're so welcome" and it translated it to "You'd better be grateful, you fuck."

Hey guys don’t worry about why I’m asking this but say I am in the process of drawing Elden Ring characters as Disney’s the Robin Hood esc furries and I don’t have an exact list of what character would be which animal. Allegedly I already have a few of them planned out (most of the roundtable), but I would love to have idea thrown at me like spaghetti at a wall.

Every day im haunted by how much the ENG dub’s early misunderstanding of Xiao’s character massacred my close personal friend the “about us: drowsiness” voiceline. People who never play in CN don’t even know how endearing the original is!!! 😭 like

Even if you don’t understand CN I feel the difference is clear just in audio alone. What each of them convey about Xiao as a character is Completely different 😔 ENG Xiao sounds like he’s just snapping at you out of no where bc you spooked him by sneaking around in the middle of the night while he was on guard while CN starts with him having dozed off before startling awake and getting flustered you caught him being sleepy…!

I’m so sad a lot of people don’t know the original glory of sleepy Xiao voiceline (tm) and similar such things. I always reccomend anyone who likes Xiao listen to him in CN at least a little bc I feel it’s the only one who conveys this specific tragic gentleness to him that gets rather diluted in the other languages’ voice directions
