Too I’m sick and need entertainment so could you please recommend animated films you think are grossly underrated and need more love so I can go watch them?

1. Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs

It didn’t get much traction when it first released because some ad campaigns for the movie misrepresented it and made it look very problematic. But, the movie itself is an absolutely adorable little film about self respect, societal fat phobia, and what it really means to love someone else and yourself. It’s also pretty funny and has Patrick Warburton in it. Also, it’s makes for a fun game of “point out the scenes where they traced over mother gothel” because they legit did that for the villain in some scenes. But she’s not that important so like who cares?

2. Minions

Everyone was too fuckin mean to this movie because animation brats have their heads up their asses this movie is funny and creative and has some fantastic characters there is not a dull moment on screen.

3. Osmosis Jones

Again, folks are too mean. This is a good watch it’s solidly paced and really fun and also has the most insane story behind a music track written for the movie.

4. Cars

“But it was so obviously made to sell toyyyyyyys!!!” Yeah so was Toy Story and y’all still can’t stop jizzing yourselves over it. I seriously implore anyone to rewatch this film it’s a lot sweeter than you remember. Genuinely put a tear in my eye at one point. Yeah it’s not the most original concept for a story but like, nothing is. Everything is something else just enjoy yourselves.

Rewatching Osmosis Jones for the first time since Grade 7 science class and damn this Frank guy is stupid and lucky. He took a coughing pill and that somehow literally saved his life.

The days when he was a puppy, chewing on osteoblasts and sleeping in a pile of a few thousand siblings, before it ever occurred to him that his dreams might not come true. Also stuff with Thrax, both the cozy and boring (late nights watching hideout TV) and the less so (the first time he held his own against a pack of guys with guns and butterfly knives and they both realized that his days of needing Thrax's protection were over.)

B) What inspired you to create them?

We rewatched Osmosis Jones in my server and I've had a vicious crush on Thrax since grade school and decided fuck it, gonna fly close to the sun and make a self-insert. But within like a day or two he was already off and becoming his own character, and I'm glad he did. It's been fun watching him grow!
