if i had a nickel for everytime a book spent a quarter of its chapters spending time waiting for stannis to strike, and multiple chapters where a keep is full of people whispering rumors upon stannis' march, i'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

Someone made a post about how it's a shame that the triumvirate don't have all three shirt colours. And I agree! Simplest way would be to reimagine sciences as part of the ships operations, so just make the science shirt red too and give that to Spock, but instead I'm gonna take the colours as intended by canon
💛 McCoy 💛 💙Spock💙 ❤️Kirk❤️
Captain McCoy? Wild. Totally different show. Spock as his 2IC would be CRAZY but I love it. Kirk as engineer works very well, he loves the ship and has a more holistic sense of battle than McCoy cos McCoy's all about saving lives
💛McCoy💛 ❤️Spock❤️ 💙Kirk💙
Captain McCoy is still fucking with me lol, but this with Kirk as 2IC makes more sense. They sit down, head together and figure out the ethical approach, and Spock rocks up like "you barely understand how this ship works". I think actually id make Spock weapons not engines here, just cos the pacifist culture constantly breaking his own vow cos McCoy or Kirk was in danger is so juicy
💛Kirk💛 ❤️ Spock❤️ 💙McCoy💙
Functionally canon. Could take Spock as engineer but I'd miss Scotty. Giving him a role like crew management makes sense as a red shirt, it's operational. First Officer wears red cos they do the roster and management stuff. Maybe he wears a blue shirt once a week to do his science stuff part time. McCoy is still doctor here ofc
💛Kirk💛 💙Spock💙 ❤️McCoy❤️
Now we're having fun. Spock has his dual role as XO and science chief. McCoy is the engineer! It's a similar vibe to his doctoring except he prioritises the ships pipes instead of the crew
💛Spock💛 ❤️McCoy❤️ 💙Kirk💙
This feels like suuuuch a wildcard lol. Spock's captain. I'm not even sure who the xo is here, I think it makes more sense for it to be McCoy in an operations role while Kirk is full science nerd coming in with some facts. Except McCoy has no interest in command. Maybe he's doing it in more of a union-y way, like they gave captain Spock the first Vulcan in Starfleet an xo who will argue the emotions of the crew as paramount just to make sure he doesn't go so logical it's cruel. I think in this version, Kirk makes most of the decisions anyway cos Spock and McCoy are so at odds and need a tiebreak vote
💛Spock💛 💙 McCoy💙 ❤️Kirk❤️
Functionally canon but with Spock and Kirk flipped. Different show, more tension between Spock and McCoy cos Spock tends to make rash, logic heavy choices in canon already as soon as Kirk's not looking, but I think the relationships are similar

As i've stated before i've wanted to make a Viva Piñata iceberg, and while i've enjoyed putting stuff on it and writing down some info on each point i need some help with putting more stuff on here! I'm sure some of you have some neat things, theories or rumors that would go on here, do send those my way (preferably with a explanation, too)
Explanation on each point can be found below
The TV show - Some people’s first exposure to the franchise was the TV show, made to go alongside the games as a sort of advertisement. It was made by 4Kids and had a total of 2 seasons, starring the 4 main characters: Hudson Horstachio, Franklin Fizzlybear, Paulie Pretztail and Fergy Fudgehog.
Rare games easter eggs - There are plenty of easter eggs to other Rare games throughout Viva Piñata, the easiest ones to note are the broken arcade cabinets found in the first game as well as the various nods to Banjo Kazooie - such as the Bird and Bear statue, Mumbo statue, Breegull backpack and Bottle’s Glasses. Stardos is Dastardos - The game never tells you this directly, but it’s an easy and obvious conclusion to make.
Twingersnaps and Fourheads - Without using a guide or looking it up you may actually be baffled on how to acquire these piñatas in game. There is no obvious hint in game to tell you to hit the Syrupent egg before it hatches on the third bounce, which means you either have to figure it out through experimentation or by looking it up.
Leafos False Rumors - Leafos is meant to give you good advice to help you out while you play the game if you talk to her, however not all information she gives is true. Some rumors include putting a Badgesicle in water will turn it into a Sweetooth, feeding a Doenut to a Pretztail turns it into a Mallowolf and so on. None of these actually work.
Piñatas aren’t permanently broken - When a piñata is broken it is magically repaired, at least when on Piñata island, reforming at the edge of a garden when broken at one. It is stated that piñatas are repaired after having been sent to parties, which would potentially mean that piñatas only magically repair themselves when on the island.
The PC Port - Not very well advertised, there was a PC port released for the first Viva Piñata game. There are a couple of differences between the port and the original Xbox 360 release, which are touched upon later.
Piñatas are genderless - Technically no piñata is given a gender in game, all piñatas function the same. While in the show gendered piñatas are present it could potentially be that piñatas are naturally genderless and then if they are sapient can choose genders which fit their identity.
Burger king toys - A bundle of burger king exclusive plastic toys of piñatas were made and sold alongside the children's meals, some of the piñatas were Elephanilla, Sparrowmint, Goobaa and so forth. These toys are nowadays rare and sought after by people who collect the very small amount of official Viva Piñata merch that exists.
Wildcards - Wildcard piñatas are unique piñatas that have a feature which makes it stand out next to others of its species. There are a total of 3 variants of wildcards per piñata, some being exclusively gained through trading piñatas online. In the original game wildcards were extremely rare and there was only one variant, while they were made easier to acquire in TiP.
Both the games and show are canon - Just what it says, according to the creators both the games and show are canon to Viva Piñata lore. This makes for some strange implications, but that is for later.
TiP Fence Glitch / Exploit - A sort of well known glitch often used while playing Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise. Fences normally do not stop Ruffians and Professor Pester from entering your garden, as they simply destroy them when they’re in the way. However, if arranged in a specific pattern in the area next to the volcano they enter from, the fence will make them permanently stuck. They will be stopped at the very edge of the garden at the fence, unable to properly enter or do anything. This can occur unintentionally as well in both the original game and TiP, as sometimes Ruffians and Professor Pester get stuck on seemingly random things and become unable to do anything.
Domesticated piñatas becoming un-domesticated - A strange difference between the original game and TiP is the fact that you can no longer buy domesticated piñatas from the Paper Pet’s store. Instead of being purchased they simply appear in the wild like any other wild piñata, whether this implies that these piñatas are no longer considered domesticated or is just a game design choice is unclear.
Piñata cards - In Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise there is a function which is called Piñata Vision, which utilizes the Xbox Live Vision camera. By scanning the card you can get the piñata or item displayed on the card, some of these cards feature the developers in the form of a piñata and characters from other games.
Language Dubs - The PC port of the original game has a lot of language dubs, translated into languages such as Dutch, Swedish, Spanish, Chinese and more. Some of these do not extend to the UI oddly enough, while for the majority of translations all of the game’s features are translated accordingly, with the exception of piñata names. The language chosen is determined by the language set for the computer, so if you want the game in a specific language you’d need to change the language of the computer before installing it.
PC port graphical downgrades - Oddly enough the PC port has some graphical differences compared to the original Xbox 360 release. Mostly the graphics being downgraded, even on the highest settings, such as the lighting and texture resolution on objects and the environment.
Some piñatas are sapient, others not - Because of the fact that both the show and games are canon makes some things kind of weird. Though even if the show wasn’t canon this would still be a thing - as thanks to the existence of Langston and some of the show characters appearing in the DS game. Most piñatas in the games act like animals and cannot speak, however in the show and with Langston they are very much as sapient as a human. What causes a piñata of the same species to be sapient or not? Why does no character in the game acknowledge this strange difference? We don’t know.
Magic is real - In the Viva Piñata universe, at least on Piñata Island, magic exists. Seen in the form of Leafos and Jardinero summoning items, Jack transforming items into other things, Seedos and other characters teleporting and both Dastardos and Storkos being able to fly. There are other examples of magic, nobody really explains why magic exists or to what extent it is used or capable of being, but simply something that is commonplace on Piñata Island. If magic exists in other places is unknown.
The DS game - Known as Viva Piñata Pocket Paradise, the DS game came out after both the original game and TiP. It features a mix of piñatas from both the other games, however not all of them, because of the limitations of being on the DS. It is pretty much just another Viva Piñata game where you tend to a garden, now using the touchscreen to use your tools and so on.
How the fuck does the family not recognize Dastardos as Stardos - A strange phenomenon considering at least Jardinero considers Dastardos familiar, but apparently none of the other family members have been able to figure out that Dastardos is in fact Stardos. Whether this is them just being very oblivious or not it’s still sad that they can’t even recognize their own family member after being corrupted. This is also even more strange considering Dastardos lives literally across the garden from his family, how have they not been able to tell by now?
Langston taking over the position of authority in piñata central from Jeffe - Apparently Jeffe used to be in charge of the piñata central and was later kicked off his position and replaced by Langston, this is to reflect how Jeffe was originally planned as the head of the piñata central before being replaced by Langston as influenced by the show. Why he was kicked off his position is uncertain, but theorized to be because of the fact that he turned into a piñata or half piñata from ingesting too much candy - though why this would influence him being kicked off i’m not sure. Maybe he abused the central for his own gain?
“They all wear masks, some are just more elaborate than others” - A statement from a developer when asked about the masks worn by the humanoid characters in the games, whether they’re their actual heads or some kinda mask. This was meant to clarify that all the human characters are fully human, however it still leaves some things unanswered - such as if they are masks then why can we not see Fannie Franker’s face inside the mailbox on her head? Or what does that entail for the Ruffians whose bodies are pretty much completely covered in their masks.
Squazzil name debate - A reference to how in game Leafos mentions that the name for the Squazzil was debated before you, the player, arrived at the island. Being apparently called Nonsquirrel as they were trying to figure out a name for the species. Whether this is true or not is uncertain, as Leafos does state untrue rumors sometimes.
The side characters in P-Factor - P-Factor is a minigame in TiP that is you showing off your piñata in a contest against other players or npcs. This minigame features both already existing npcs, such Leafos for example, as well as some made exclusively for the minigames. Some of these npcs include Maxime, Babochka, Nana Urf and more. They also make an appearance in the Great Piñata Paperchase minigame, however they are much more prominently presented in the P-Factor minigame.
Unknown blue flower - There is a blue flower which appears outside of the garden space as a decoration in the original game. This blue flower is not a flower which appears anywhere else, and cannot be planted in the garden either. Most of the flowers and trees found outside the garden space are plants that are available for the player, but this one flower is unique in that it isn’t part of those plants.
Leafos might be a lesbian - As it is very much implied that Leafos is the one who writes the entries for the items, objects, characters and piñatas in the journal one can glean interesting information and thoughts about Leafos. In the entry for the Pink Flutterscotch there is the sentence “A girl (that I may or may not have liked) once told me that the Pink Flutterscotch reminded her of a kiss.” Some people take this as an implication that Leafos may be a lesbian and or bi, which i personally think would be neat.
Unused piñata concepts - There are plenty of piñatas that never made it into any of the games, as one would expect. Examples of piñatas that never appear in the game but had concepts made for them are a Giraffe, a Platypus that would’ve been acquired by breeding a Quackberry and Sweetooth together, a Hammerhead shark with a sour form and a Kangaroo. A goldfish piñata was also part of concepts, however this piñata does appear in the game - as the fish in the bowl on Miss Petulas head.
Banjo Kazooie Mountains - One of the rarer (hah) easter eggs to spot in the original game, in the distance across the swamp where Seedos lives one can see a mountain which has Banjo and Kazooie carved into the mountain. This is much easier to see in the Xbox 360 version compared to the PC port, because of the higher resolution textures.
Silent piñatas - Every piñata is voice acted, or are they? One might notice that there are two, well technically eleven, piñatas that are completely silent. The Flutterscotches and Motdrops are fully silent, not making any noise. Why this is is uncertain, as other bug piñatas do have noises, such as the Taffly and Sweetle. It may be because normally no noise is associated with butterflies or moths in real life, or it may be because these piñatas are meant to be more akin to decorational than a “proper” piñata.
Dragonache flying away glitch - A glitch which is easily done in game, by making the dragonache engage in a fight with another piñata and using the menu to send it off from the garden. By opening the fighting view, which can be accessed to monitor the fight separate from the normal camera view, it will focus in on the two piñatas. The camera will become strange as the Dragonache flies away from the garden, letting you see out of bounds and see details otherwise obscured by things in the background around the garden. I recommend doing this after having done at least one mandatory fight beforehand, as you are forced to watch the first fight that occurs and will unable to do anything till it is finished. Thus if you do this glitch while forced to watch it you will be unable to access the rest of your garden for quite some time.
Giant Zumbug glitch - Not certain if a glitch or hack, there have been reports of a giant Zumbug in TiP which is acquired through unknown means. This giant Zumbug can be sent through the Xbox Live service, but more than that is not known.
Professor Pester is legit evil and fucked up - Even though he’s presented in the show as a bumbling idiot of a villain, he has done a lot of fucked up shit. Not only does he employ Ruffians to mess up other people’s gardens, including Jardinero’s garden, he is also the reason why sour piñatas exist. Making a sour goop which is used for creating sour candy, it is a candy which makes anyone who eats it sick and possibly corrupts them - this is evident in how he corrupted Stardos by giving him sour candy. He may have rather bland goals as a villain, simply wanting complete control of the piñata island and its piñatas, but he’s done some pretty messed up stuff to try and accomplish this goal.
Extra color variants - All piñatas, except for the Flutterscotches, have three color variants that can be acquired by feeding the piñata specific things. However, there are piñatas that have more variants than others, through being caught in the Pinartic or Dessert Desert, and then feeding those the same things. This will cause them to gain a different tint of color compared to their normal counterparts, as thanks to having a different default color because of being from a different region.
Giant and tiny seeds - You can gain a plethora of things from the mine, which includes seeds. Sometimes when the mine uncovers seeds there is a chance for the seed to either be bigger or smaller than normal, these seeds work exactly like their normal sized versions, but sell for different prices. The size difference can vary wildly, with really big seeds and incredibly tiny seeds that are hard to see.
Ivor has two mouths - Something that may be easily missed, but Ivor Bargain does as a matter of fact have two mouths. One for each “face” he has, for when he’s a beggar and a merchant, he can flip between the two by spinning his head, flipping his head up or down. This is a little freaky, and completely glanced over in game, left unexplained why he has two mouths or can flip his head upside down with no consequences.
Leafos is vegan - A very recent thing which has been observed through the rare cookbook that has been released, which features an array of rare game inspired recipes. Recipes which are vegan or vegan friendly are marked with “Leafos vegan approved”, which implies that Leafos is vegan.
Humans can become piñatas rumor - In game this is presented in TiP with Jeffe, which is a human piñata or a half human half piñata, he states “If you eat enough candy and pull a face in the wind you'll become a piñata, I never want to see another piece of candy let alone a piñata full of it.” as part of dialogue during P-Factor. We cannot confirm whether this is actually true or not, but if Jeffe’s statement is true then it would imply that humans can turn into piñatas. This in turn creates a lot of questions, such as why does this happen? Has this happened to people outside of Piñata Island? Is this something exclusive to just the island or candy from the living piñatas? Can this happen with animals as well?
Tamed sour piñatas reverting via mail - A gameplay mechanic which is not commonly seen is the fact that tamed sour piñatas can revert back to a sour state. This occurs when you send a tamed sour piñata to a player which hasn’t unlocked the tamed version of that piñata, when the piñata is taken out of its mailed box it will be the sour version. This happens in all the main games, including Pocket Paradise as well.
Dastardos and Seedos special interaction - I have not personally seen this interaction but many have reported Dastardos and Seedos having an interaction with each other in game. If people want to elaborate on this or have footage of it that’d be great.
Viva Piñata Candy Stash - There are a few piñata games which aren’t widely known, for example this Adobe Flash tower defense game developed and published by 4Kids TV, known as Viva Piñata Candy Stash. This game features Professor Pester trying to steal the player’s candy using Ruffian robots, and to stop him the player builds towers invented by piñata characters from the tv show.
Piñata mascot suits - As part of promotions and promotion material there exists mascot suits of some piñatas, such as the Horstachio, Pretztail and Fudgehog. Whether these suits are kept in storage somewhere or have been thrown away we do not know.

hey mango! how would you say the boys fit into the five man band trope? not just in their current group, but in the two trios they were beforehand. i'm really curious, and I have a hard time figuring out what patton is in either combination
Well, that is an interesting question, with some interesting answers >:)
First, let's make sure we're working on the same definitions:
Leader — Center of the team! Rallies the other characters around them without too much difficulty, tends to take charge of the team and give orders, often also makes the plans. Usually the defacto protagonist, but not always; they can also play a mostly support role, complimenting the rest of the team by finding ways for them to bounce off of each other.
Lancer — A foil for the leader, and usually their second hand! They contrast the leader, and typically have a complicated and/or deep relationship with them, since they must have opposing characterization. They must challenge the Leader, but don’t have to be antagonistic. Often, they are allowed to be more evil/morally dubious than the Leader, since they function as a contrast. Just as often, the Leader and Lancer can switch roles back and forth depending on the situation!
Heart — The emotional glue of the team! Responsible for keeping everyone else grounded and bound together. Compassionate towards their teammates and aware of their needs and feelings, but not always nice. An advisor to the Leader, and the most common second hand, if it’s not already the Lancer.
The Big Guy — Tough, loyal, reliable, and notably impressive in a specific martial/combat skill (usually strength). Don't have to be physically "big," just more individually powerful/capable than the rest of their teammates (though the Leader can be an exception here). Usually a tank or one man army, and sometimes a point man, but not always. Usually a foil for The Smart One, though they can be the same character.
The Smart One — Notably the most intelligent member of the team! This intelligence can be specialized or general, but it is a defining part of their team role. They give exposition, make plans, and usually are better at predicting the enemy's plans. Usually a foil for The Big Guy.
The Sixth Ranger — A semi-wildcard who usually joins the party later than others. They are not as tightly knit into the team as everyone else, and are usually Lone Wolf types, or were previous to joining the band. They function as a powerhouse ally, who can step in as an additional Big Guy or second Lancer. More morally dubious than the rest of the team (even more so than the Lancer), and generally one of the most capable individual fighters, which also makes them prone to the Worf Effect and/or late game betrayals.
Tag-Along Kid — The small child that somehow joins the party and is dragged into their shit! Can function as a primary or secondary Heart, Smart One, or Big Guy if they are competent, but they can also be dead weight and/or a potential repeat captive of the villain’s.
Ok, so now that we’ve got that down, lets start from the beginning! (Only doing groups of 3 or more people, no duo dynamic analysis here)
When Remus and Virgil semi-forcefully adopt Janus into their group, Remus acts as their Leader (used to playing the role for Virgil and Roman), Virgil as their Big Guy, and Janus fell in as Remus’s Lancer. Remus tended to do whatever he felt like in the moment, impulsively start fights, and let Virgil engage on the surface as if he was still working under Underdark rules, while Janus liked to plan his every move, rely heavily on diplomacy, and tried to reel Virgil back. This combination was clearly not the best for them, and made them a very ineffective team.
Janus leaves the team for a while to handle some personal mission. When he returns, Janus demands to be recognized as the team’s new Leader. The other two have no complaints, and quickly fall in place behind him; Remus becomes the team’s Heart, and Virgil becomes Janus’s Lancer while still being The Big Guy. In opposition to Janus’s scheming (often, at first, making plans without telling anyone what they are), patience, and total lack of battle prowess, Virgil is in no way a talker. Instead, he’s fiercely protective, brash, violent, and incredibly capable in battle. Virgil and Janus switched Leader/Lancer positions whenever they ventured into the Underdark, and Virgil slowly but steadily taught Remus to be an incredibly skilled warrior, allowing him to be a second Big Guy. With Remus to keep their emotions in check, Virgil’s dedication to honing the skill of their team, and Janus’s emphasis on leaning the party towards patience and diplomacy, the three quickly grew to trust each other absolutely.
Markedly, they do not have a Smart One. To the shock of absolutely nobody.
Then, Logan and Patton meet Roman! Logan is instantly recognized as their trio’s Leader and Smart One, at least by onlookers, with Roman as his primary Lancer, and Patton as a secondary Lancer / their Heart. Logan is somewhat challenged by Patton’s distaste for professional diplomacy, Patton’s higher emotional intelligence, and Patton’s refusal to be open with his feelings (Logan is much more of an open book and Patton frustrates him), but he’s much more challenged by Roman’s refusal to ever use his brain when he could instead go apeshit and play Protagonist. Logan is well aware that he functions best as a team player and supportive coordinator, but Roman likes to think himself a Lone Wolf Hero, and refuses to defer to Logan when he thinks his own plan is better. Which is all the time. Patton tends to listen to Logan’s instructions out of respect, but also isn’t afraid to defect from Logan’s careful plans when he sees fit.
Unlike J/R/V, they do not have a foundation of trust: Logan doesn’t trust Roman or Patton to listen to him (because they don’t) or to keep themselves safe without him hovering over them. Patton doesn’t trust Logan and Roman to have his back when he needs them (because they haven’t), or to not claw each other’s faces off while he’s not looking. Roman is afraid that Logan and Patton don’t really respect him (because they don’t), and doesn’t trust Patton and Logan to work well with him anyway, so he would rather they just sit back and let him do his thing. They stick together because they are best friends, and Patton and Roman are certain Logan will get himself killed without their protection, but they don’t actually function as a cohesive team.
Notably, they do not have a Big Guy. But, then they are joined by Virgil, their Sixth Ranger! Virgil refuses to be absorbed into their team at first, keeping himself at a distance, but still does his best to protect them with his superior battle prowess. Eventually (largely due to the Whisper’s and Patton’s meddling) he starts to feel more comfortable engaging them as actual teammates, and he is starting, very slowly, to lean into a new role as their Big Guy. Then Aninsliee joins the group, and, of course, she is their Tag-Along Kid!
Then, finally, Remus and Janus join the party! But, this causes some problems...
Remus joins as the team’s Big Guy, but Janus is still determined to be the Leader. Remus seconds this, and still acts as if Janus is his leader, refusing to respect Logan. Virgil is still functioning mostly as a Sixth Ranger, but the more comfortable he grows with the return of Remus and Janus, Virgil will fall into his old role as their Big Guy, also deferring to Janus over Logan.
Patton refuses to engage with Janus and Remus quite the same as he does with Logan, Roman, and Virgil, so Patton is quickly being edged out as the team’s Heart, being replaced by Roman, who has fully embraced Virgil & Annie, and also trusts Janus and Remus (though Remus is on a very fine line with him). Patton is now a sort of tertiary Big Guy.
Janus is Logan’s new primary Lancer, as someone who both contrasts his characterization in almost every way and explicitly challenges him all the time, on purpose, for fun. Logan is still the defacto Leader & Smart One, though Janus is pretty transparently attempting a party coup under his nose...
~
So, TL;DR
Remus, Janus, and Virgil pre-breakup:
Janus — Leader
Remus — Heart, Big Guy
Virgil — Big Guy, Lancer
(No Smart One)
Logan, Patton, and Roman pre-Virgil:
Logan — Leader, Smart One
Patton — Heart, Lancer
Roman — Lancer
(No Big Guy)
Present Time:
Logan — Smart One, Leader
Patton — Big Guy?, Heart?
Roman — Heart, Lancer?
Virgil — Sixth Ranger
Janus — Lancer, Leader?
Remus — Big Guy
Ainsliee — Tag-Along Child

Honestly though, Fallout New Vegas is totally the most politically conservative of the modern single-player Fallout games.
Like, New Vegas give you four choices in who to side with: the fascist military dictatorship of the Legion and the dictatorial oligarch Mr House are portrayed as pretty negative options, but it’s the final two options that really hint the games’ leanings.
First, we have the NCR. The New California Republic. A functioning democratic state. But while the game does display that the NCR have good intentions, it also portrays them as morally inflexible, incompetent, hampered by corruption, and bloated with bureaucracy.
And then you have what the game calls the Wildcard route. Despite the name, this is the default route of the game: it’s the route to completion that will always be available, no matter what choices you make.
The Wildcard route creates what is called an “Independent” wasteland. As in, every community in the game remains independent of one another. New Vegas tends to valorize this sort of independence, self-reliance, outside of the oversight of a larger state.
The argument can absolutely be made that New Vegas promotes libertarianism.
In comparison, while Fallout 3 forces you to take the side of the Brotherhood of Steel, it’s a Brotherhood that has reformed it’s ways, and sets out to help the people of the Wasteland rather than rot in isolationism, a very Arthurian-style might-for-right. The game sees you defeating the remains of a fascist dictatorship that seeks to exterminate those it doesn’t see as “pure”, and the ultimate goal is to provide the people of the Capital Wasteland with a source of free, safe, clean drinking water.
I wouldn’t go so far as say the game skews socialist, but it absolutely has a very clear message that working together and helping the wider community at no profit to yourself is a great good.
Fallout 4, meanwhile, is even more interesting. Once again, four factions vying for control of the Commonwealth. You have the Institute, which once again is quite isolationist and fascist; you have the newly-regressed Brotherhood of Steel, now a fascist dictatorship once more; you have the Railroad, which is more focused on equal rights for synths than any idea of government...
And then you have the Minutemen. Once again, the default option who you can never (permanently) piss off, no matter your choices.
However, in this game, your default option isn’t “independence and self-reliance for everyone”, it’s the exact opposite. While they drape themselves the patriotic trappings of the old world, their approach couldn’t be more different: they’re a collection of small communities, coming together to share resources and act in mutual defense of each other. It’s all but hammered home that the Minutemen are the beginnings of new democratic state founded in the principles of mutual aid.
They’re also the only faction willing to coexist with the others: the other three factions require you to wipe out two of the others, the Minutemen being spared in all endings; while the Minutemen ending only requires destroying the Institute. The Brotherhood of Steel can also be optionally destroyed with the Minutemen, and they ultimately have no beef with the Railroad.
So your default ending is the destruction of at least one fascist group with aims at regional domination, by a mutual-aid coalition of communes. That honestly sounds pretty left-wing to me.

The Masked Singer Season 6 Episode 2 Recap: Group A Wildcards, Back to School Themed, Let’s Meet New Students Baby and Hamster (Commentary & Guesses)
Hello my internet friends and welcome (or welcome back) to Ana's Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, recap every single episode of The Masked Singer. So, this is technically the 2nd part of the premiere episodes’ recaps, since both of these episodes aired on the same week, back to back. So yeah, let's get started, shall we:
Ok so same ones as last time performed (minus the 2 who got eliminated), which were Pufferfish 🐡, Skunk🦨, and Bull 🐂, plus 2 new wildcards, Baby 👶🏼 & Hamster 🐹 and 1 of them was revealed who was...
*DRUMROLL PLEASE*
Ms. Pufferfish 🐡
Tumblr media
Performance: So, she stuck with the Tik Tok song theme, and performed Levitating by Dua Lipa and DaBaby (yup, she did rap again), which felt like a repeat of her 1st performance. I feel like she is WAY BETTER than singing these overly played Tik Tok songs and that's why she went home honestly, and I know the internet is up in arms about her leaving this soon, & I get it but I honestly wished she would've chosen a way better song that really showcases her range, like Bull does. Even though he picks songs that a lot of people know, they make sense & actually compliment his voice/showcases so many things he can do vocally, while the songs she chose were too one note for me.
Having said that, she was revealed to be by no one's surprise at all (well maybe the judges but they're always slow):
Toni Braxton (in a mask)
Tumblr media
First of all, yeah not surprised... Moving on, she was wearing a mask under the costume's mask wow (because she has lupus so that means her immune system aka the system that tries to keep you from getting sick is weakened because it thinks everything even healthy cells that are part of your normal bodily functions are dangerous so they destroy them... Long story short, covid& lupus are not a good combo so she wears a mask as added protection). The thing about masks when you are singing (which is why most singers take off their masks when they sing), it makes your voice muffled and not as clear sounding no matter what mic you use. So yeah her voice might have sounded a tiny bit muffled but it was great considering. Was it the biggest upset in masked singer history? No, Tori Kelly getting eliminated in season 4 was, but this might be a close 3rd (2nd is a tie between Jesse McCartney not winning season 3 & Jojo not winning season 5). Anyways, let's talk clues:
Now, onto our remaining 4, starting with our OGs and ending with our 1st wildcards of the season:
1. Bull 🐂
Tumblr media
Performance: This time around, he sang What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts and god damn the man got range, he started the song with a whistle tone run thing idk what’s called but it was punchy and amazing! He used a song a lot of people are super familiar and showcased a ton of rasp and range to his voice, from high to low notes he hit. I’m obsessed with this performance, it was probably my favorite of the night!
For my guess, I am still sticking with (and will fight anyone who disagrees, that’s how sure I am, my mind isn’t changing here):
Todrick Hall, ladies and gents and non-binary folks
Tumblr media
Ok, I’ve known about Todrick for years, so much so that I didn’t even need someone to explain to me the clues (usually I do some research on the celebs, because I am not a celeb expert by any means, but he is the one I have done the least research on), like I figured some of them on my own which very rarely happens (if I see another ex Disney or Nick star, it will happen again possibly). Having said that, let’s look at them sweet (almost sweeter than the donut he is holding in that picture) clues that seal the deal for me (which as you can probably tell from the title are back to school themed):
Marched to the beat of his own drum in high school= he was openly gay in high school which was probably a bit rare in Texas
Disney concert hall= 2 things: before Idol, Todrick actually worked as a cast member at Disney World in Hollywood Studios and one of his most viral videos on his YouTube channel (and one of the ways I discovered him online) was called Evolution of Disney, which currently has 13 million views.
Cheerleaders in his locker clue= he actually really was a cheerleader in high school
2. Skunk 🦨
Tumblr media
Performance: Ok, so I take back everything I said in my last recap here, because her performance of It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World by James Brown was a total 180 from her last performance! Like this was the kind of performance I was expecting from her, and she delivered in all her soulful, diva goodness! She sang this song to filth, it was the perfect song for her voice because it showcased her range and you can tell she was connected to the song, showcasing emotion from under the mask. It was fantastic and I really hope she sticks to these kinds of songs honestly because she is so good, like I hope they don’t make her sing super current pop songs, because she isn’t pop… anything rock, soul, R&B, or even funk works amazing with her tone. You can tell this isn’t her first rodeo performing so having said all that…
I am going to also stick with my initial guess for Skunk, who is:
Faith Evans
Tumblr media
Alright yeah, I’m sticking with it, the voice is so similar (I used this video to voice match) but let’s get started with the clues:
Got a full ride scholarship and had to leave due to unexpected circumstances= yup, Faith left Fordham University to have a baby
Forced to take a different path= ended up singing backup in LA and moving there which in turn got her recognized by P Diddy
The vase with a D on it= she was on R&B Divas
3. Hamster 🐹
Tumblr media
Performance: Yay a new wildcard! His first performance was Oh, Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison and you can tell he’s a great singer but he’s putting on an impression (a very good one may I add) but is a comedian like he isn’t a professional singer, he’s a comedian or actor who can sing granted but is trying to do impressions to throw the judges for a loop… but I see through you Mr. Hamster…. NOW I see through you, even though at first you did confuse me as well. He was ok though, nothing insane or shocking, I predict he might go home next in this group (depending on what the new wildcards sound like and/or when the next wildcards will be integrated)
I'm gonna say I think Hamster is...
Rob Schneider (better known as Elle King’s dad)
Tumblr media
Alright, so again I had to do some voice matching because I have heard of him (mostly as Elle King’s dad haha) but never really heard him sing… if you watch him singing with his daughter, I can hear the tone and he might be putting on an Elvis style impression (which I have heard from a lot of people on the internet that he does those kinds of impressions in his stand up because he is a huge Elvis fan), but let’s look at them clues:
Famous Friends= he was on SNL and has multiple famous comedian friends like Adam Sandler & Chris Rock
Alcatraz Island= he’s from San Francisco, Cali
Locker clue is a baseball bat= hinting at a movie he was in, Benchwarmers
4. Baby 👶🏼
Tumblr media
Performance: Ok, so I had to leave the most shocking one one for last, because this one threw me for a loop. At first, he was doing the baby voice and I was like this guy sucks he’s a goner…. and then he Barry Whited me with You’re the First, the Last, My Everything, and my jaw dropped (yes I did use Barry White as a verb, I’m so sorry Barry White, you are amazing, may he Rest In Peace, like no disrespect but it is his song so I tried to do something funny there… might have not worked out how it did in my brain, but I am too far gone now). Like I didn’t expect that voice coming out of that giant creepy thing you see pictured above this unnecessarily long commentary. Even my mom was shocked, and she don’t get shocked a lot…. Anyways, onto my guess:
This might sound like a dumb troll guess, but I genuinely think Baby is...
Larry the Cable Guy
Tumblr media
Ok, ok, ok before y’all gang up on me and tell me “Ana, that’s such a Ken guess!,” I am gonna defend myself and say 1. Well Ken is now in the lead for the Golden Ear so anything can happen, and 2. Just hear me out, you’ll understand why when I explain myself. I feel like no other celebrity except Mr. “Get er Done” would put on a giant baby costume that’s borderline creepy, have an accent like that, and sound like Baby Mater from Cars (if you don’t believe it, just watch the performance, I’ll link it here and everything for you). Anyways, here are the clues that convince me and hopefully might convince you guys:
Replaced Arnold Schwarzenegger in a movie= Larry starred in the direct-to-video sequel to one of his comedic hits “Jingle All the Way.”
Locker clue was failing a driver’s ed test/reference to high speed car chases= reference to his success as the voice of Mater from the Disney movie Cars
Anyways, that’s it! Tomorrow is Group B’s first performance and I can’t wait to meet the new group! I’m so excited! See you guys this weekend and I hope y’all enjoyed this recap! Don’t forget to like and comment and do all the internet things. Follow me on Twitter too, it’s @photolover82 just like this page, where I live tweet the show if you wanna check me out there! 👋🏼 Bye guys!

Family: Mother and step-father travel around Eorzea with some other Kha as traveling merchants. Doesn’t speak of her father
Favorites –
Favorite food: Dumplings
Favorite drink: Eastern teas. Persimmon teas are a favorite
Favorite scent: The smell of the Shroud right after a storm has rolled through
Facts about Maxi:
⚫Maxi is by birth/blood a Dazkar, not a Kha. Her, her mom, and her grandmother fled the tribe when she was born. She was born out of a non-consensual act, and despises her birth father to this day for what he’s done to them.
⚫ The Kha adopted Maxi and her mother & grandmother after fleeing. Her mom fell in love with one of their merchants, and they were married when Maxi was only 5 years old. She is on good terms with her step-father, who has done all he can to help the women have good lives
⚫ Maxi was trained from a young age by her late grandmother, Ghoa in all the ways of Dazkar archery. Ghoa had the title “Butterfly of the Dazkar” in her prime, and taught Maxi what she could before passing of old age. After her passing, Maxi left for the Archer’s guild in Gridania to further hone her skills.
⚫  Due to not having a ton of money, Maxi spent a year or so waitressing/bartending/etc at various taverns and inns in Limsa and Gridania to save up coin to start out on her own.
⚫ Maxi lived at the Archer’s Guild once she joined, and was very studious while there. She spent about 2-3 years honing her skills in the ways of the Elezen and Miqo’te styles of Archery to compliment the Xaela style her grandmother taught her. This is where she met her close friend Seseta. After being drawn to the Skysteel project in Ishgard, Seseta gifted Maxi her hat, since the latter loved it. Maxi will still wear it to this day
⚫ At one point, Maxi was considered for the guild’s Bard project, since she was seen as one who was competent in planning and strategy. Maxi turned them down, citing she preferred to work alongside Bards, not as one. In reality, she’s tone deaf, and didn’t want to let that come to light
⚫ Maxi does have some form of aetherical affinity, leaning towards the lightning aspect. She has the raw talent and aether needed to become a healer, but Maxi has no interest in it at all. Instead, Maxi’s learned to use her aetherical abilites to modify her arrows and shots, being able to exploit magical weaknesses in her
⚫ Maxi’s travelling companion is her chocobo, Drumstick. She saved him as a chick, and raised him herself. Now they’re inseparable, and the chocobo hates leaving her side.
⚫ Maxi has one notable scar, three lines that run across her back. She sustained it from a mission gone wrong. A rabid direwolf got loose and attacked a small settlement. Maxi arrived just in time to see it attacking a child, and threw herself between them and the wolf. She saved the child’s life, but the beast’s claw tore up her back. After a couple weeks of recovery, she was able to return back to her normal life, but still has the scar to this day
⚫ Maxi is, by definition, a tomboy. Because of her upbringing, her choice in line of work, and what side jobs she’s worked, things of a fancy nature are foreign to her. She has a grand total of two nice dresses/outfits given to her, one by her mom as a birthday present, the other from a client as thanks for helping them with the food and bar for an event last minute. She doesn’t often wear either, but has been known to break them out for events when required.
RP Hooks (aka starting RP points) ––––
Archery: Maxi would be a known face around the Archer’s guild in Gridania. She’s known as good with a bow, and reliable to handle whatever job she’s given. Anyone who’s spent an extended period of time with the guild would have heard her name.
Side Job: Maxi has experience with bartending, waitressing, and general help staff with public functions. If you need someone to help with running an event in a pinch, she can help out
Xaela: Maxi has ties to both the Dazkar and Kha. She doesn’t know them all extensively or a ton of the tribal traditions, but she is open to learning from any other Kha or Dazkar she meets. Maxi especially wants to meet other Dazkar members, to learn more of the tribe she shares blood with.
Friends: Maxi needs friends, plain and simple. Where she got them, what they do, doesn’t matter. Let the girl have people to do stuff with. Either pre-established or new, doesn’t matter.
Wildcard?: If you have something you want to run by me, go for it.
Contact Information  –––
If you want to hit me up via Discord, let me know. I can pass off my username. Maxi is based on Balmung, but I can travel throughout Crystal no problem

Is using an appointment booking plugin for a WordPress website safe?
According to a 2016 research by Wordfence of hacked website owners, plugin weaknesses affected 55.9% of WordPress websites. That's how it makes sense! While the core of WordPress can be secure, plugins introduce a wildcard that the WordPress core cannot always compensate for.
One of the reasons WordPress is so popular is the ability it gives users to add any number of functionalities using plugins. Users can choose from up to 50,000 plugins accessible for download in the WordPress plugin. That's not even taking into account the plethora of third-party free and expensive plugins.
However, too much variation frequently leads to future issues. Rogue plugins and out-of-date plugins can all be used by hackers to get access to your website. Here are a few suggestions for keeping the web safe by deleting WordPress plugin flaws as much as possible to fix specific security weaknesses.
How can I look for bugs in the WordPress Appointment Booking Plugin?
The WordPress Vulnerability Index is a useful tool for determining whether or not a plugin poses a security risk. The service detects plugins as well as issues found in them. You can search for a plugin by name or alphabetize all plugin bugs. If you see a specific appointment booking plugin on the list, look for an update on the plugin listing page. If no patch for the flaw is released, you should disable the plugin for the time being.
Another option is to use paid services like Plugin Vulnerabilities to detect such problems in real time. You can also get an email notice if you're using a plugin that's at risk. When you receive a warning from this service, you are far more likely to be able to respond immediately. You can also spot these dangers by periodically conducting a search on your website. Plugin Vulnerabilities, for example, will not only scan for all of your installed plugins, but will also alert you to the most prevalent security vulnerabilities.
You can choose to get notifications about the risks that will undoubtedly arise. Hackers are attempting to target WordPress websites on a nearly daily basis. As a result, you must check for vulnerabilities on a regular basis.
The Plugins Are Being Tested
It may seem strange to install a plugin to verify your appointment booking plugins. There are, however, a number of WordPress plugins that can help you improve your security, and the two we'll look at here will scan the databases of WordPress bugs for you and notify you if you have any questionable plugins installed.
It's important to realize that these security measures aren't just plugin checks; they're both round security devices for WordPress.
Select the appropriate plugin
There is no such thing as a completely safe plugin. However, learning to identify and select excellent plugins before installing them will dramatically reduce appointment booking WordPress plugin risks. Choose required plugins from reliable marketplaces such as CodeCanyon, the WordPress Plugin Registry, or trusted third-party vendors. Each plugin is vetted by the WordPress registry before being made available to the general public, and CodeCanyon has its own testing procedure in place.
So, how can you determine whether or not a plugin is safe to download? Begin with:
Total User Ratings
User Reviews
Amendments and compatibility
Documentation and assistance were provided by the installations
When installing a plugin to your website, it's preferable if you keep the following things in mind:
You can install as many plugins as you like once you have the cloud infrastructure to support it. What's most important is that they're well-coded for plugins. However, one badly coded plugin can bring the entire website down.
The plugin is supported by the inventor and responsive to user needs, according to a portion of the live update log. Only a few entries in this section, on the other hand, may indicate that the plugin does not require any updates or enhancements.
There are hundreds of fantastic free WordPress plugins to choose from. But keep in mind that premium plugins have more responsive support and are compatible with the latest WordPress versions.
It's a good idea to practice downloading plugins only when they're needed.
Also, consider this: "Are all WordPress appointment booking plugins safe?" as a gentle reminder before going ahead and installing another plugin The answer is no, as you may recall. Are you looking for that particular plugin? Do you require the extra security hole?
Keep the WordPress Appointment Booking Plugins checked
An out-of-date appointment booking WordPress plugin is one of the most common attack vectors for hackers. Three prominent out-of-date plugins were discovered to be the root of 18 percent of hacked WordPress sites in 2016, according to a survey. It's important to highlight that while the plugin developers quickly corrected the issues, many users failed to update their plugins, resulting in a slew of hacked websites.
And even if you started with the correct plugins, if you don't keep them updated, you're still vulnerable. But how can you be sure that all of the plugins are up to date? Check your WordPress dashboard for an upgrade button as one option.

Booknetic is one of the most secure appointment scheduling plugins for WordPress. Booknetic has a Helpful Hacker badge, which is crucial for the plugin's security. What exactly is the Helpful Hacker initiative?
People can use the Helpful Hacker software to complain to Envato about product flaws. The software is operational and is based on the following principles:
Reported complaints will be prioritized based on their impact on people, not on financial rewards.
Our neighborhood effect was the topic of a quick resolution, which was set for less than 72 hours after the report was generated.
Envato will report identified problems to the group shortly after the problem has been solved.
Responsible disclosure means giving us a chance to address the problem before it's revealed to the rest of the world. This ensures the safety and privacy of customers.
If you believe you have discovered a broad security issue in an Envato product, you can use the form to report it to the Envato market. Following resolution with verification and a target date, they will confirm receipt and follow up for comprehensive disclosure.
Booknetic is safer than other WordPress appointment booking plugins using this program. You don't have to be concerned about Booknetic's security. Simply download and install our booking plugin to begin using it. To see all of our features, try our Demo version.
Final words
But, for the most part, we know that these often used and acknowledged WordPress appointment booking plugins are reliable. They have millions of installs, valuable comments, and plugin creators who have worked hard to earn a solid reputation in the community by producing error-free plugins and giving excellent support.
Plugins are fantastic. They enable you to achieve amazing things with WordPress. However, plugins that are either poorly developed or out-of-date on your WordPress platform can expose your site to hackers.
By using the Booknetic appointment booking plugin, you'll reduce your chances of becoming a victim of WordPress plugin vulnerabilities.

hmmmmmm. thinking about b5 today. i think its like the closest to My Tastes Exactly a tv show will likely ever get but heres some points i think it couldve stood to improve. under the cut because its long as hell and so i dont spoil my friend whos watching it with me still lol. feel free to come and yell with me in the notes
love all the characters but i feel like jms had too many to fulfill too many specific plot functions. he really should have combined some and it wouldve fixed the issue of so many characters having to choose between complex inner psyche development and actually contributing to the plot. specifically i feel like marcus’ plot/dev could have been given to lennier and explained away as something he simply hid or was under oath to hide from everyone else. it wouldve cut down too the time jms needed to introduce marcus and used it to flesh out lennier and potentially other characters. love the british bastard to death but it was the best option i think. also ivanova should have been given the “telepathic equivalent of a nuke” plot after talia left. some kinda hand wave excuse where she gives her the ironheart powers. lyta i think has the issue of having literally no relationship with any main character at all besides zack which gives her the impression of being totally seperate from the rest of the show except when they need her to do telepath things. ivanova getting the plot instead fixes this issue. giving it to ivanova would have given her more depth to explore beyond her traumatic past relationships and more to do in the plot beyond being the commander when sheridans away
franklin got some amazing fucking development in season 3 but god with the s4 compression he got to do fuck all for the main plot beyond being an errand boy with marcus. i think the easiest solution would have been to let his dad be a major contender on earth’s side of the war. it doesnt need to be a huge facet i get that they were pressed for airtime trying to fit two seasons into one. even just a few scenes where franklin struggles with it wouldve been a huge boost for his character
i havent seen this part of s5 in like 6 years but god. garibaldi’s ending in s5 fucking sucks. i feel like jms accidentally wrote himself into a corner giving garibaldi a visible family in sleeping in light, operating under the assumption it was a quick character wrap up and he wouldnt have to develop it more, but then whoops s5 happens and now he was to write in how garibaldi famous rebel and wildcard somehow settles down into a nuclear family. in my perfect world his ending would have wrapped up either one of his two biggest plot threads, neither of which the edgars industry ending really addresses: his relationship with sinclair or his relationship with the psycorps. i am more inclined toward the sinclair one because its simply a huge facet of his character jms never addresses and we never let garibaldi deal with the on-screen grief of having his best friend, the reason hes even on b5, the one who gave him a second chance at life, abandon him without a proper goodbye. this might get into fanfic territory but god i would have loved to see a subplot where as hes going through the trauma of bester’s influence he throws himself into figuring out how to go back in time with sinclair. ending with him finally reconciling with that trauma and going into the time rift with a tearful goodbye to everyone else. other option here also would just be to resolve the psycorps issue instead. i havent thought about this one too much but i imagine it would just be a mercenary arc where he systemically destroys the psycorps from the inside out and it ends with him inflicting some ironic fate worse than death onto bester as revenge fro the internal block preventing garibaldi from killing him outright
s5 main plot in general was shit i genuinely dont think any part of it was good enough to justify its presence beyond maybe like one or two episodes. telepaths got enough development and moral quandry episodes throughout the 4 seasons we did not need byron’s vampire diaries ass. also dont care for the centauri arc there we already know the ending and londo is literally already the most developed bitch on the show he didnt need a whole half season arc seeing unnecessary build up to the character ending we've already known about since war without end. i appreciate what s5 is trying to do because so few stories deal with the aftermath of the main plot like b5 does here but we couldve gone a different route. im not claiming to know what the correct answer here was but personally i think the bureau 13 thread would have been interesting. u know that thing sheridan brings up randomly in s2 and its such an interesting thing to his character and we literally never see it again. yeah i think bringing up a secret evil society within earth gov/psycorps after we dissolve the current gov would have been a really interesting plot. a narn arc independent of the centauri also would have been interesting. idk i know jms was burnt out as hell and i appreciate the character dev we did get in s5 so im not too cranky about it but god the potential

🙊 - Opinion on Remus? Might as well have them all amiright (loving your essays btw)
🙊 - Opinion on Remus?
I’m glad you like them!
The short of it is this: I’m glad he is part of the series.
The long of it is this (this tends a little... discourse-y. Fair warning.)
Okay, my thoughts on Remus are somehow both kind of complicated and far more simple than my thoughts on the other Sides. I think that’s largely because the only substantial exposure we’ve had to him is one video, and that video was--in the show timeline--pretty recent. So there hasn’t been much time for canon to develop him or the “lore” surrounding him.
Like Janus--but to a slightly lesser extent--I find Remus fascinating from a character-concept standpoint. I like the idea of manifesting intrusive thoughts, and I think the idea of attributing that concept to some kind of “forbidden element of creativity” makes a lot of sense to me. I don’t, personally, agree or enjoy much of popular fanon when it comes to Remus, but canon!Remus? I’m really curious about.
Maybe it’s because of my own experiences with things like intrusive thoughts (I don’t know if they count as intrusive thoughts or not but I think that’s probably how I’d classify them?) but I don’t necessarily think that the healthy approach for Character!Thomas interacting with Remus is to give his voice equal merit to that of his other Sides. And I don’t know that Remus cares much about that, either. I think Remus wants to be allowed to say whatever the hell he wants without trying to be silenced, regardless of how the others react to that. So basically, I think Character!Thomas is on the right track for engaging healthily with Remus in the “Are There Healthy Distractions?” video. I totally understand where people may connect with Remus and have a different view on that particular stance, and no shade is intended to those people. I’m just sharing where I currently stand on that particular aspect of Remus’s character given what we know about him so far.
With that said, I think his introduction to the series set up a lot of important things about Thomas as a character as well, and began to develop some other characters’ arcs further. DwIT deals a bit with religious guilt (Catholic guilt in particular), that as someone who grew up Catholic... I relate to, and I think introducing that concept also gave us a hint at some of what informs Patton’s thinking and thought-pattern as well (a concept that was expounded on in more subtle ways in POF). Remus’s use of religious analogy and imagery was a very smart way to incorporate and introduce that concept, in my opinion. And I loved the over-all message in DwIT that thoughts are sometimes just... thoughts, and they don’t have to have greater merit or meaning or be a precursor to action. I think that’s actually a really important message to learn--intrusive thoughts or no.
When it comes to Remus’s relationship to Roman... I’m mostly just very open to where canon takes it, and interested in what that will mean for both Remus as a character as well as Roman as a character, given Roman’s very black-and-white binary thinking at the present moment in the series following POF. I don’t particularly expect some kind of “fusion” occurring between the two even if they come to understand one another and accept each other more (namely Roman towards Remus), but I suppose it’s possible. Anything, really, is possible as far as I’m concerned when it comes to Remus. He’s brand new.
It’s hard to have a dynamic opinion about Remus and his current/past character development because there hasn’t been development. He’s only just been introduced. I think there may be a lot we don’t yet know about Remus (especially as it pertains to his motivations, desires, and function), and I’m excited at the prospect of learning more. He’s as wild of a wildcard as they come--the possibilities are endless.

Hi! Since you are in the tf2 fandom,I've been meaning to ask, what are your tf2 headcanons about the mercs? Love ya!
Thank you sweet anon for this ask! I've been waiting for a reason to talk about my hcs. Love ya too!!
Scout
Bisexual as fuck, female leaning. If i had to divide his attraction by the sexes it'd be 60% female, 40% men.
Has autism, dyscalculia, and dyslexia.
He loves tall people though, specifically women. but if you can stare down at him he will melt into a puddle.
Please inflate his ego oh my god he will love you if you sweeten up his ego he'll lose it. Tell him hes hot/cute/handsome/strong/smart etc. Just smother him in love and you have someone who considers himself your very loyal friend.
Raised Christian, lost his belief in God in his teenage years. Still prays before battles sometimes out of habit.
Medic
Bisexual again, 50/50 true boy.
He can rap. Bro you look at that man and tell me he can't freestyle in German, he absolutely can.
Junji Ito vibes, likes to doodle guro-esque shit on the sides of notes he takes, favorite thing to sketch up is open cavities, body horror, and cuts/slashes.
Be nice to his birds and let him talk about them and he'll love you forever
^ this also applies to his profession. Ask him for a lesson about something, and he'll happily sit you down for a an hour school class about what you asked about. He'll be bouncing off the walls the entire time.
Everyone HCs him as Jewish and that's valid, but I can't see him as religious. I hc he was raised Jewish but as of rn he doesn't subscribe to any religion. It's not that he doesn't believe in any god or anything, he does. In fact he believes in many. But he just doesn't believe in a power higher than himself. His family is still Jewish tho
Pyro
Pyro's a total wildcard for me. I have my own Pyro ocs but my general idea for pyro can be tldr as: AMAB, either cis male or agender (depends how I feel), Sweet tooth, raised muslim, and secretly kinky.
Soldier
Depends tbh. But I see him as bi & trans! Post-op, has bottom & top surgery, but lowkey sexually insecure when he gets down to it because his cock doesn't function like a cis man's cock. Don't worry, just comfort him a little and he'll perk back up!
Autistic, special interest is American history.
Sleeps like a ROCK bro. After all the shit he does inna day? When he gets to his bed he is out.
Raised by bigoted Christians, so he can act a little bigoted, just remind him bigotry ain't very American and he'll stop immediately.
Speaking of religion he's ofc still Christian, but he doesn't rlly see God as god. He sees God as like a homie that's with him 24/7.
Spy
Bi, gn.
He's hard to get close to, but he has a soft spot for sweet women. If you're female, try showing him you care about him and take interest in him and his style, interests, etc. He'll let you in quicker than anyone else.
Calls everyone a nickname in his mind. Some French thing, writes in French about his teammates sometimes and always uses the nicknames as placeholders so if anyone who can read French reads it somehow they don't know who he's speaking about.
Thats all i got rn but ey if i think of smth I'll add it in

Ok...B,E,G, I, V and W for TFA Wreck-Gar please :D
TFA Wreck-Gar
(Favorite) Body Part
He's fond of his antenna, which is sensitive, and his back storage, where he keeps his things. He loves fiddling his bot s/o's kibble, if they have any.
He's drawn to the parts of his s/o that are unique to them- beauty marks, bright colors, scars, stretch marks, damaged frames. Those are the parts of his s/o that make them who they are! Why shouldn't he like them?
Experience
TFA Wreck-gar is as inexperienced as they come, tbh.
The allspark fragment gave him a general idea of how his body functions, but nothing was outlayed in great detail. Ratchet eventually broke and explained the process to him when he kept asking, and Wreck-Gar took it surprisingly well.
He's a very quick learner even if he tends to be a little unsure.
Goofiness
When he's on the bottom, he's a total goofball and loves to make his s/o laugh to ease the tension. He isn't above pulling out props and teasing his s/o with them.
When he's on top, he's a little more serious. He tends to be more anxious and can try too hard to please his partner. If they can make him laugh and goof around, too, he'll feel much better about it.
Intimacy
He's still not great at comforting people and sometimes fails to account for personal space, but he's improving. He's very tactile himself and will happily cling to his s/o whenever he has the chance.
He loves kissing and hugging. It's still new to him, so it makes him ecstatic every time his s/o lets him kiss them
Volume
Inverse.
He likes to joke and talk, but the more he likes something or the closer gets to overload, the quieter he gets. Loud moans become soft, desperate groans instead.
Wildcard
He's incredibly strong. He could easily beat Lugnut, Starscream, or Blitzwing in a fight if he knew how to control his power.
He tried to learn everything about interfacing by googling it, but when he asked a human and Bumblebee about it, they freaked out and that's when he had to ask Ratchet.
He loves K-dramas and Mexican telenovelas.
All trash t.v., honestly.

Updated the iceberg with some suggestions + more stuff i came across during research~ Might be doing a video to go along with it, cause it'd be fun (i have been capturing footage, so it'll likely end up happening :3 )
Explanations for each thing can be found below:
-Level 1-
The TV show - Some people’s first exposure to the franchise was the TV show, made to go alongside the games as a sort of advertisement.
-Level 2-
The PC Port - Not very well advertised, there was a PC port released for the first Viva Piñata game.
This makes for some strange implications, but that's for later.
Jardinero and his family - In game a big part of the npc cast are Jardinero and his children, Leafos, Seedos, Storkos and Dastardos. They all play important roles in terms of the game mechanics, but also have their own stories which can be read about in the journal. The journal also mentions the character Mother, which is Jardineros wife and mother of their children. She is a seafaring adventurer that occasionally came to visit Piñata Island to see her husband and kids.
-Level 3-
Dastardos ghost theory - Because of Dastardos more ghostly abilities, such as floating around, being able to go through objects and not being recognized by his family, it is theorized he may either be undead or a ghost. The entry for the Dastardos shovelhead also implies this, calling him “untouchable” and only thanks to lining up to his frequency can the shovel hit him. This theory kind of makes the fact that Professor Pester being responsible for this even more messed up.
Extended / full version of Horstachio commercial - One of the more famous pieces of commercials to advertise the first game was the one featuring Hudson Horstachio, about to be broken by a couple of kids, that he offers a bunch of outlandish things to to convince them to let him down. There are apparently some different versions of the commercial which feature different things being offered, with a full uncut version that has all the offers in it.
Miss Petula’s neglectful parents - The npc that runs the Paper Pet’s store is Miss Petula, who often lets the player know she’s not very enthusiastic about her job. Mostly because her parents have left the store in her care, and don’t seem to communicate with their daughter much aside from grounding her, as she mentions it in her dialogue. In one of her dialogue lines when the player leaves the shop she ponders running away from home.
Accessories graphical glitches - Some accessories have graphical glitches associated with them, such as missing pieces or being misaligned on the model during certain animations. Examples of this is the ribbon being missing when a Ponocky wears a tail ribbon (in the PC version), or goggles on Chippopotamus not moving properly when their mouth is opened.
Seen in the form of Leafos and Jardinero summoning items, Bart transforming items into other things, Seedos and other characters teleporting and both Dastardos and Storkos being able to fly.
How the fuck does the family not recognize Dastardos as Stardos - A strange phenomenon considering at least Jardinero considers Dastardos familiar and so does Leafos to an extent (he is in the "family members" part of the journal after all), but apparently none of the other family members have been able to figure out that Dastardos is in fact Stardos. Whether this is them just being very oblivious or not it’s still sad that they can’t even recognize their own family member after being corrupted. This is also even more strange considering Dastardos lives literally across the garden from his family, how have they not been able to tell by now? Though, if the ghost theory is considered, maybe it’s understandable why they have such a hard time recognizing him.
-Level 4-
Langston taking over the position of authority in piñata central from Jeffe - Apparently Jeffe used to be in charge of the piñata central and was later kicked off his position and replaced by Langston, this is to reflect how Jeffe was originally planned as the head of the piñata central before being replaced by Langston as influenced by the show.
Squazzils name debate - A reference to how in game Leafos mentions that the name for the Squazzil was debated before you, the player, arrived at the island.
Viva Piñata Party Animals - A party game that stars the main cast of the tv show, it features a lot of different minigames and a mario kart-like racing minigame, kinda being a mix between mario party and mario kart except piñata themed. It’s very different from the other games in the series and has a lot of locations and items not featured in the other games as well.
Ivor in the wishing well - In TiP Ivor Bargain is strangely missing, with the items he used to sell now being purchasable at Cost’o’lots. Ivor can however be found residing at the bottom of the wishing well object, which you can purchase after playing through the credits sequence. By donating chocolate coins you can get him to speak and throw items from the well depending on what amount you throw in. It is hinted that Lottie was the one who pushed Ivor into the well, likely because she doesn’t want competition selling items to the local gardeners.
-Level 5-
Banjo Kazooie Mountains - One of the rarer (hah) easter eggs to spot in the original game, in the distance across the swamp where Seedos lives one can see a mountain which has Banjo and Kazooie carved into the mountain. This is much easier to see in the Xbox 360 version compared to the PC port, because of the higher resolution textures.
Silent piñatas - Every piñata is voice acted, or are they? One might notice that there are two, well technically eleven, piñatas that are completely silent. The Flutterscotches and Mothdrops are fully silent, not making any noise.
Money and Piñata duplication glitch - It is possible to duplicate money and piñatas by abusing the post office, by editing the contents of the boxes being mailed while they are shipped off. This can be used to quickly acquire master romance rewards and cut down on time spent making chocolate coins the normal way. This glitch appears to be the easiest to do in TiP, compared to the first game.
Fudgehog cutscene - On certain days of the month a different cutscene will play during the opening of the first game on Xbox 360 and PC, replacing the normal Horstachio cutscene. Instead it is a Fudgehog being broken to reveal the rare logo, though there is a bug in the PC port that makes the Fudgehog cutscene not play.
Pudgeon romance dance - An oddity among the rest of the romance dances is the Pudgeon romance dance, which is the only piñata to actually wear the required accessories needed for romancing in the romance dance cutscene.
-Level 6-
Mousemallow sounds - The Mousemallow makes interesting noises, which may seem strange for a mouse, as they aren’t squeaks. They go “chu” because the developer voicing them is from Japan, where mice are vocalized as going “chu” instead of squeak.
Cut baby piñatas - Originally piñata babies were meant to look different from their adult counterparts, instead of just being smaller. However because of time constraints this was cut.
Pitch black piñata variants - A once exclusive variant available through Piñata Vision cards, it turns a piñata completely black, even sour piñatas. This can be acquired without the use of cards through things like hacking or modifying the game’s files.
Piñata meat - Something mentioned in the journal and seen in the form of some piñatas attacking projectiles, eating piñatas in the form of eating their “meat” is apparently a normal thing on Piñata Island. Examples of this are the journal entries for Cluckles and Arocknids, which mention eating Cluckle legs, as well as the projectiles of Cluckles and Goobaa being chicken legs and mutton chops. It is also mentioned in in-game dialogue that Storkos eats piñata eggs if unable to deliver them, and other piñatas do consume piñata eggs. Are thus piñatas edible beyond just their candy? Or are the residents on Piñata Island cooking and eating paper mache animal parts and acting like that’s not weird?
Family mode - A mode found in the original game and TiP, which allows two people to play at the same time using two controllers. Simply done by connecting a second controller while playing the game, it’s originally meant for parents to be able to help their kids while they play without having to disturb the gameplay. This mode can be used to give yourself an edge in the early stages of the game in TiP, as the second controller will have the best tools available right away and is capable of things the first controller cannot, like filling a piñatas candiosity by performing tasks.
Dastardos and Seedos special interaction - When you’ve beaten up Seedos and gotten him on his bad side he’ll start to chuck weed seeds into your garden, and has a special interaction with Dastardos if both of them are in the garden while he is in his upset state. When Seedos has thrown a weed seed, the two of them will turn to face each other and do their laughing animation, presumably because both of them enjoy the chaos. Or maybe they have that slight family connection still? It’s rather sad though that Seedos only acknowledges his brother at all when he’s angry and upset.
-Level 7-
Viva Piñata Candy Stash - There are a few piñata games which aren’t widely known, for example this Adobe Flash tower defense game developed and published by 4Kids TV, known as Viva Piñata Candy Stash. This game features Professor Pester trying to steal the player’s candy using Ruffian robots, and to stop him the player builds towers invented by piñata characters from the tv show.
Petting piñatas - Exclusive to Pocket Paradise, you can pet your piñatas which makes them happy. Different piñatas like to be pet differently, and if petted the wrong way it won’t increase their happiness.
No 100% reward in first game - Both Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise and Viva Piñata Pocket Paradise have a reward / reward screen for completing the game fully, by getting all the available rewards for the piñatas and plants. However, there is no proper completion reward in the original first game, there are rewards for various milestones but none for completing everything.
Piñata mascot suits - As part of promotions and promotional material there exists mascot suits of some piñatas, such as the Horstachio, Pretztail and Fudgehog. Whether these suits are kept in storage somewhere or have been thrown away we do not know.
Ruffians helping Helpers - Unless you mess with your helpers just for fun, you’re unlikely to ever see this happen. When a helper of any kind is stuck because of a fence or being surrounded by objects, they will constantly keep telling you they’re stuck. If you let them stay stuck for long enough a Ruffian will spawn in, no matter if you have a Captain’s Cutlass or not in your garden, that you cannot interact with. They will wander over to the helper and free them by destroying the object that’s in the way. Leafos will then berate you with a notification, saying “Shame on you!” for being such a jerk to your helper, and that the Ruffian and helper are running off; the helper leaving permanently.
Ruffians speaking - Ruffians normally do not speak, only making various grunts, but do have dialogue seen in Pocket Paradise.
-Honorable Mentions-
Miss Petula’s cat eyes - Miss Petula has a strange animation in game where her eyes go from having rounded pupils to having slitted, cat-like pupils. This is likely because of her cat theme, but is still strange considering she’s supposed to be a human.
Rare variant of logo cutscene - There is a version of the rare logo reveal cutscene played when opening the game, that features the rare logo itself exploding with candy. This is played in certain versions of the game, likely because of the fact that both the Fudgehog and Horstachio cutscenes feature a sort of dismemberment via them being smashed into bits which can be seen as inappropriate in certain regions.
All the shops have slot machines - A strange detail is that all the shopping menus are made out of slot machines, which might seem odd since slot machines usually have nothing to do with shops or making purchases, more so being related to gambling.
Unidentified voice actors - A lot of the voices provided for the games go unnamed in the credits, however we do know most of the piñata voices are members of the staff and developers. The missing voice actors for the npcs are listed as “Voices provided by 4Kids” with no names attached.

Jaxon Moretti shares our delusions. They are 627, a Reaper and a Sponsor. While they might be dynamic, sometimes they get unpredictable. They are a switch in bed, and homoflexible. They are into edgeplay & exhibitionism/voyeurism and want a dom/sub/switch partner.
Name: Jaxon Moretti Age: 627 years give or take, though he looks to be mid to late twenties. Species: Reaper (Rogue) Status: Sponsor [no rescue yet] Connections: None, all his family went to dust a long time ago +social, +quick-witted, +excitable, +curious -sarcastic, -stubborn, -manipulative, -unpredictable
Jaxon is a bit of a wildcard, having been around town for several years now and still somewhat a mystery to most people who know him. Most think him as little more than some strange creature who wandered in and went through the usual paces of earning himself a place there, and then eventually status as a Sponsor, very few can say they know more than the surface. Even fewer know his motives because he carries on with a sort of nonsensical air and a noted tendency towards mood swings at the drop of a hat. Depending on the type of supernatural creature some can sense what he is, some can’t, and for the ones who cannot he doesn’t make it a point of conversation because...really...who wants to hang out with a guy who probably off’ed your family or somebody you knew?
He is, of course, remaining in town as a means of survival. It’s certainly not the world outside that Jaxon fears so much as his own body failing him without what he needs to stay on his feet. The Sponsor idea was another dumped on him by default of being around a while, so far he hasn’t really attempted to take in any sad little wayward souls. It’s probably much better for them that way, honestly....there’s a lot of temptation in the idea of having someone alive around all the time.
He’s always thought himself to be mostly Agender, though for so long he was used to the idea of there only being male and female terms, so he still defaults to male for his own out of habit. His sexuality has wandered over the years, not fully aware during his mortal life that attraction to men was even an acceptable concept, time has given him room to grow. His interest is in men but his experiences have been varied and spanned genders and types of relationships. He’s at the point anymore where he takes affection and attention where it lies and doesn’t need to label things off; if he’s content he’s content and that’s all that matters. Technically he would probably be polyamourous, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t also want to be the center of attention...he’s just okay with that being with more than one person involved. In fact relationships often crash and burn badly for him because he becomes rather obsessive over people.
Since he grew up in poverty and general desperation Jaxon has a lust for nice things, expensive things, and his home reflects that. Lavish, exaggerated; comfort is absolutely something he indulges. He discovered a decade or so back that it isn’t just mortal life that keeps him energetic so said home has plants littered around, surrounding himself with that life. He has a hell of a time keeping them in check though, one would think his presence draining them would make the floral die out but quite the opposite really; they flourish. So much so that at times he has to weed out the ‘jungle’ before it takes over his home.
With a short attention span to entertain that home is also littered with whims and distractions; whatever crossed his mind as interesting at any given time. It’s practically an endless cycle of tossing out old interests and moving on to the next, most of them fueled by investments over the years because, really, he planned to be around as long as possible and likes the shifting odds of the stock market. Or he used to, once he grew bored of it he hired somebody to do it for him and doesn’t pay much attention to his investments so long as he at least has the money to travel and amuse himself.
Jaxon became a Reaper at the end of his mortal life, finding death one particularity vicious winter that took both his life and that of his family. His memories of before are only thin shadows at best, but the deal Death offered him seemed too good to pass up with the bitterness of his life feeling too short when the cold stole it. He hit a raw nerve with Death about a hundred or so years later when he decided to step outside the rules and accidentally ended a life that wasn’t supposed to be cut short. One would think that meant losing his job but, no, a contract with Death is ironclad. Even if the powers that be couldn’t take his job they could banish him from it, effectively cutting off the source of supernatural energy that keeps Reapers’ fragmented souls from dissolving into nothingness.
Faced with that lovely fate, he’s been keeping himself on the existing side of things ever since by doing what he was trained to do; find people whose life is about to end. The only difference now is that half-spent energy doesn’t go entirely onward with departing souls...a sliver of it is carefully tucked away to keep himself grounded in the world. He’s gotten better at it over time, anymore most people don’t even realize from one life to the next that a tiny splinter of themselves is...absent. The damnest thing is he’s noticed that people sometimes almost remember him, think he’s someone they knew but just can’t place. He’s not going to be the one to tell them that it’s because a part of his essence is fueled by what he took from them; most people wouldn’t be too thrilled.
Eventually those fragments run dry though, grow thin, and rather than let them entirely burn out he releases them knowing they’ll find their way back to where they truly belong. He’s not a total bastard, he wouldn’t let part of a soul fade away, he likes to think of it as just...borrowing for a while. Everybody is trying to survive, right? Why should he be any different?
Around once every few years Jaxon has to resort to more extreme means than his usual death-scavenging and needs to actually cut a life short before its’ rightful end. The spark of life when separated from a person is the only thing that can keep his own shattered soul from untangling. Of course he’s not foolish enough to do anything of the sort close to home, it throws up a nice, big red flag to Death and he doesn’t want to stay on the radar too much. Travel, find a random person, do what he needs to and then fall off the map until he has to do it again; it all comes down to survival. But those are the ones that stay with him, the ones who bury the memories of their life inside his head, ones that don’t leave him even when he’s moved on to the next.
//Powers/Magic// Since his banishment Jaxon hasn’t been able to act as a Reaper to his full extent but still retains some of his powers. Since Death is actually bound to honor his contract until he finishes the terms and he can’t finish those terms as he can no longer collect the agreed upon number of souls...he found a loophole of sorts that allows him to keep those abilities. The downside is he’s a free agent now, so to speak, and without Death’s direct power to keep his soul grounded he has to find ways to do that himself or risk not dying but entirely fading out of existence.
Death Inducement
Jaxon can’t actually touch somebody and kill them, that’s not what a Reaper does; their function is supposed to be to arrive at the time of a life’s end and remove the soul from a dying body if it happens to get stuck, otherwise they just hang around and make sure soul-scavenging creatures don’t snatch it up. That ability to reach into a person and grab hold of their soul though, as one would imagine, does kill them if it is removed so honestly it’s about the same difference. He has to willfully use the ability though, he wouldn’t just randomly brush against someone and they might drop dead. He prefers not to use that method when he has to end a life to prolong his own because very often he retains memories from that life and he already has enough of those haunting him.
Death Sight
Being able to sense when someone is very near to death is an important skill to him now since he has to be there to scavenge off that departing energy and steal a little of it for himself. He can, at any given point, study those around him and see the sort of gray haze that settles over their eyes when they’re bound to die soon, even if he’s not strong enough anymore to predict the exact time and place other than guess by how dull that haze becomes. Often, if he’s getting weaker, he’ll hunt down a target and stalk them until their life ends.
Death Knowledge
Another useful skill is being able to decipher the manner of death a person suffered, even if it was a long time past. To do so he must have access to a corpse or something that was in close and prolonged contact with their body at the time of death. Often this will happen as choppy memories of their life first, then the moment of death through both their eyes and the borrowed sight of whichever Reaper was there to attend to their passing. It’s a difficult power to use and very draining, plus it tends to leave Jaxon with migraines and nightmares for weeks in the case of violent deaths.
Invisibility
All Reapers can come and go via a thin veil that exists between life and death; this place is where they step outside the mortal world and travel through it unseen by living eyes. It’s not becoming invisible in the usual sense so much as an ability to simply not be perceived by those around them. Supernatural creatures lacking souls or already dead can still see him even in these cases, but anyone mortal or with an active life-force cannot. It’s also an instinctive state when he’s using his Reaper abilities to remove a soul; the dying cannot see him until the moment they actually pass, and even then it’s only for an instant.
Fear/Hallucination Inducement
An ugly side effect of being a Reaper is the need for people to fear you; if everyone welcomed death then people would never feel the need to live life with the sort of intense focus that makes change in the world. In Jaxon’s case it is a skill best used for getting people off his back when he’d not in the mood to deal with them; a little digging into their deeper terrors and throwing them into their face is usually enough to at least stun most. The other side of the coin is not so much fear as just outright delusional hallucination. Which he has to admit to being fond of himself now and then for the amusement it offers; sometimes he’ll mess with people and trigger strange visions in their presence just to screw around. He has to experience the altered state of mind with the person though, so at times it’s a risky shot to take.
Reaper Physiology
Not as much a power as a downside; when the stolen energy he thrives on grows thin he loses some of his pleasantly youthful glow and starts to look just a bit more on the corpse side of things; too thin, dead pallor, hollow eyes. He’s also not all that physically strong compared to many supernatural races, and no more immune to injury than most mortals. He heals faster with more energy to spare, but even worse case he can’t die naturally and sometimes that is a more horrifying thought than people realize, he is immortal in a skewed sense; there is no death waiting for him...there is only the slow fade of his soul into nothing that will wipe him entirely out of existence.

Introduction to Nymia/Colorverse
I mentioned making a post about that other secondary storyverse the other day, right? Well, here it is! (Fair warning, this is less of an active WIP than a concept I like to play with—I probably won’t create any finished product for this world for a WHILE. It’s more of a creative sandbox than a proper novel-in-the-making.)
TLDR; magical girls/boys in a fantastical 1800s steampunk-adjacent setting work together (with varying levels of success) to right the wrongs of the world they live in. Although they were all trained together for a few years in their early teens, it’s been a while since they’ve reunited, and they’ll have to contend with challenging geography, a generations-long war, and their own clashing ideologies before they’ll be able to start figuring out what the problem is. The whole thing’s 90% driven by my love of dramatic irony and secret identities.
Genre-wise, this is another fantasy, but it has a very different flavor from Feilan. It’s also a bit more mature in general, straddling the YA/NA line because of the ages of the protagonists. The timeline flipflops and some scenes are set during the squad’s Academy days as young teenagers, but the real plot happens when they’re in their early 20s. I wouldn’t say this is darker--Feilan gets super fucked up in places--but it’s probably going to feel a little less optimistic, and there are more shades of grey.
The Colors
Regardless of where in Nymia one hails from, everyone knows of the colors. You may know them as gods, or archetypes, or spirits, or ancestors, but their influence is ever-present and ever-powerful regardless.
The colors are manifestations of human symbolism and belief. They began as formless congregations of a natural energy that flows throughout the planet, and as early humans developed civilization and encountered them, they began to take on the traits of certain colors in the spectrum of light. They are influenced by humanity, and influence humanity in turn—more like primal forces of nature than thinking, feeling beings. Despite this, though, they have clear wills of their own and personalities. They’re sort of... human-adjacent, but ultimately something greater. Human mages are able to draw on the powers of the colors and cast magic based on their color of choice!
The precise meanings and powers of the colors vary by the culture and social class of the believer, but they are worshipped across Nymia, and plenty of patterns pop up. Unfortunately, most of Nymia doesn’t get along—of the four realms consisting the continent, two have been at war for generations, and the remaining two are somewhat isolated from both the warring countries and each other.
Each generation, the colors choose humans to wield their powers and enact their will to encourage peace and balance throughout the realms. These humans are called the Paladins. They’re not very well-known, though, because the last few generations of paladins were not strong enough to make a significant difference or achieve much of anything. This generation, those paladins are our protagonists! Which brings me to...
The Characters
This storyverse is WAY more character-driven than my other WIP, which is why I keep dodging around it and hiding from a plot, but the characters are the best thing I’ve got going here. I won’t beat around the bush, just introduce them.
Tumblr media
Talxin Zatruc is the Paladin of Red! He’s really short, he barely hits 5’3”, but there’s a lot of intensity packed into that petite form. Red is the color of plague, poison, decay, and death. As such, they tend to be vilified in most places, and redmages aren’t winning any popularity contests. To Talxin, though, red means something else. He was raised dirt-poor in the country by parents trapped in Elcrin’s broken legal system, and to them, red is the color of justice. All things are equal in death, after all. His red magic isn’t limited to just killing people. He’s not a very trusting person, and he tends to stammer a lot and bow out of conflict, but there’s a core of steel under his surface. He’ll cross any line if it means achieving a better world. He’s like, my way of protesting about how badass Anakin Skywalker could’ve been if the Star Wars writers gave a shit.
Tumblr media
Syzyga Lazuli is not in fact associated with the color blue! She’s the Paladin of Orange, who represents exploration, navigation, innovation, and human ingenuity. In her native country of Kelrie, she’s in constant demand fixing trade ships and assisting mapmakers, but her true passion lies elsewhere. Syz is an avid inventor, constantly creating new ways to make the world a better and more exciting place. Remember Master Builders from the LEGO movie? That’s basically what Syz’s orange magic does, it’s pretty cool. One of her trickiest creations is the wired mechanical “exoskeleton” she wears on her arms (cooler name pending), which compensates for an extreme hypermobility disorder she’s dealt with since childhood. Her ultimate dream is to create a functional flying machine—something that many orangemages have attempted, but none have succeeded in so far. She likes pointy things, stargazing, and using said hypermobile hands to occasionally one-up Nyrene’s attempts to freak people out.
Tumblr media
Soenya Arrenya is the Paladin of Yellow. The emoticon :} is an accurate summary of her personality. Yellow is associated with weather and natural disasters as a trickster archetype, but they are also a patron of underdogs and comedians. They’re one of those archetypes whose interpretations vary wildly by location. Soenya hails from a remote town in the northern Sapiran tundra, the kind of place where ice tornadoes are things that exist, and her notion of practicality is... we’ll just say, it’s a bit different from the city-dwellers’. She doesn’t have much concept of property damage (or property). She’s really flirtatious and will hit on just about anyone, which embarrasses her colleagues sometimes, to the point where most of the other paladins figure she’s just doing it to mess with them. She and Nyrene do NOT get along.
Tumblr media
Darrus Colere is the Paladin of DICK MAGIC Green, and I did NOT draw him buff enough in this picture. He needs to be like twice as buff and twice as Big. He’s almost 6’4” and deserves to be built like an Olympic deadlifter. Green is associated with healing, plant life, fertility, and sexuality. They’re one of the only two colors ever given a gender, as in Sapir Green also represents masculinity. Darrus is valid to fuck. Unfortunately he’s also easily flustered and a little bit dense, he tends to get strange ideas in his head and it takes a LOT of pushing to redirect him. He’s got inertia. Darrus cares more about plants than most people, he will run after you crying if you step on “his” grass. He and Talxin shared a room at the Academy as baby 13-year-olds and they’d fight constantly because Talxin kept accidentally killing Darrus’s houseplants with poorly-controlled red magic. Also, he’s genuinely terrified of Talxin, which in terms of sheer physicality is hilarious. At his core, he’s a very caring person! He expresses affection by lecturing people on your behalf. It’s kind of sweet. He’s from Kelrie like Syz, but the other side of the country.
Tumblr media
Anlied Atidae is the elusive Paladin of Blue. Raised in the upper echelons of Sapiran society, she’s still grappling with the extremely repressed behavior she was raised to exhibit, but even behind her veil of mystery she’s a strange and deeply thoughtful individual. Blue is the archetype of thought, philosophy, emotion, and the human mind. In Sapir, Blue represents femininity. Although private, Anlied is very sincere in her desire to help others. Her life of privilege and nobility tends to blind her to the reality she lives in, though, and even as an adult she is very naive. She’s all about the conceptual thought exercise of fixing the world but stalls short in horror when presented with an actual problem. Despite using magic that specializes in emotion and the mind, she has very little awareness and understanding of her own emotional experience. Rationality is prized above all else in Sapiran society, particularly in the noble circles Anlied grew up in, and it is considered taboo to express any kind of emotion outside of a Blue temple. As emotions are sacred to Blue, they should be shown to Blue alone. Some Sapiran royals will even veil their faces in blue fabric as the ultimate expression of non-expression. This culture.... this culture seriously messed with Anlied’s head.
Tumblr media
Nyrene Enkeli is the Paladin of Purple and the team’s most infamous wildcard. She’s tall, skinny, pointy, and an avatar of mayhem—literally. Purple is, among other things, the archetype of chaos. They also represent cycles, wisdom, and the passage of time. Nyrene really likes knocking people off-guard, and can produce an impressive variety of disturbing noises. She also swallows swords, spits fire, and juggles like a fiend. She’s the sole representative among the paladins of Nemmonay—an elusive free state off the coast of Kelrie that shelters pirates, outlaws, and a dozen other criminal elements holding each other together in a perilous state of organized anarchy. Nyrene is the embodiment of that trope where a character has to remove all their weapons, and holds up the line for 20 minutes picking tiny knives out of their hair and bootsoles. Upon first glance, she seems like she’s totally off her rocker. She says weird stuff that doesn’t make sense, and does weird stuff for shock value alone, and generally moves like a cat that’s seen a ghost in the corner. What she really is, though, is a bona fide genius. Nyrene’s purple magic allows her to travel through time to a certain extent, and she’s often balancing two or more perfect loops at once, with some really bizarre caveats added to make sure the streams don’t cross. She has a lot of ulterior motives. She considers Syzyga her best friend, because Syzyga is the only person who hasn’t panicked at the sight of spontaneous sword-swallowing. She really doesn’t get along well with Soenya.
Tumblr media
Pariya Spinel is the current Paladin of Pink, though she wasn’t the first in this generation. The OG pink paladin turned out to be such an unspeakably awful person that Pink themself appeared to strip her of her status. Pariya joined the group late and didn’t have much time to get to know the others, which she’s rather self-conscious about, but pretty much everyone likes her. She doesn’t have too much to worry about. Pink is a tricky archetype to pin down. They’re associated with creation, they’re the pantheon leader, and they have symbolic ties to space and the heavens. In practice, this means Pariya has the power to create things like energy constructs or even just simple objects. It’s a difficult and tiring power to use but has the potential to be super broken. Pariya isn’t very good with her magic, and she’s extremely anxious and self-conscious about it, to the point where her nerves may be preventing her from doing much of anything at all. She’ll get there, one day...
So, yeah! That’s the squad! Not pictured is Rovato, whom I’ve mentioned briefly on this blog before—he’s the main antagonist in this universe. He’s a paladin of Silver. Silver used to be part of the pantheon, once upon a time, but they’ve been forgotten over the last few generations for an assortment of reasons. Most of those reasons have to do with Rovato. As purple represents chaos, silver represents order, and the exertion of will upon the whims of the natural world. Silver once had different aspects in the same way the other colors do, and in Sapir they actually represented change and manipulation—this is the aspect Rovato exploits. He’s used some loopholes in the magic system to make himself into a near-immortal shapeshifter and he wants power and stuff. I’m still working out the plot, so this could change, but that’s what I have right now.
The general backstory is that the Paladins were gathered together by the elusive headmaster of the Academy, a school on an unclaimed island meant specifically to train each generation’s set of paladins and prepare them to bring peace to the world. While at the Academy, they were not allowed to share their real names or anything about their origins, so that they couldn’t judge each other for their differences and stuff. The paladins are spread across the continent to represent all four realms and every end of the class spectrum and the whole point of the team is to encourage unity. Can’t have them being racist at each other! Unfortunately, the status quo of the war between Sapir and Elcrin shifted dramatically during their third year at school, and they were sent back home before being allowed to learn each other’s names and origins and all that stuff. Now, approximately five or six years after the Academy disbanded, something is happening that can only be resolved by the paladins themselves. So now they have to get the team back together, and seek each other out across national borders and geographic obstacles and LOTS of weird culture clash. I’m still working on figuring out what’s happening. Like I said, the plot’s a work in progress.
And that’s that! I don’t know how much I’ll talk about these guys here, since the colorverse story has been on my back burner for a LOOOOONG time, and I still want to get through Feilan in the next century. But I wanted to introduce them, so I could talk about them without confusing literally everyone. They’re my second-oldest set of OCs after the fairies and I care about them quite a lot.

Maxi Kha - Roleplay Profile
Tumblr media
I am so out of date on how to do these, but I should get this out sooner than later with some kind of updated version. I sorta combined a few prompts that have been in my drafts for ages now into something. At least I can start with this and go from there
Appearance -
Name: Altani “Maxi” Kha (proper birth name being Altani Dazkar)
Gender: Female
Race: Au Ra, Xaela
Age: 28
Height: 4′ 10″
Eye Color: Bright Blue
Hair Color: Black, teal highlights
Notable Physical Features: Freckles on her cheeks, back scar from a workplace accident
Build: Small but athletically fit
The Facts -
Name Day:  23rd Sun of the 2nd Astral Moon
Occupation: Archer, stereotypical “tavern wench” on the side
Sexual identification: Asexual
Romantic identification: Biromantic
Alignment: Good
Relationship Status: Single. She’s found it hard to have any meaningful relationship when she’s not interested in sex

If you want to hit me up via Discord, let me know. I can pass off my username
