okay but jayce's eyes in this scene where is meets viktor and just- everything
the first time he sees him jayce is genuinely in shock, he's surprised his eyes are widened and his pupils shrink in shock for a moment and for a second its like he actually sees viktor and the scene is a lot warmer, it feels warmer as well
Tumblr media
but the next time we see his eyes the background and everything gets colder a lot colder and they're narrowed, his pupils seem to kinda return to normal and while his eyebrows are tilted in anger just look at his eyes. there's something soft in them and especially the one on the right of the picture (jayces left aka the one thats kinda covered by hair). like it kinda looks like he was to cry or is about to at the very least, although this could just be a trick of lighting.
Tumblr media
but his eyes look kinda similar to the one in the scene below (NOT THE EYEBROWS). the expression is similar cause it looks almost sentimental. it looks like he's breaking down like he's about to cry and its so raw. the lighting is different and yes you could argue that those are just his eyes but they tell so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then after viktor is dead his eyes seem to harden fully once more because as he was shooting he didn't see viktor he saw something else, something that he now killed which yknow... yeahhh he still looks traumatized as hell-
anyways when he was shooting viktor he didn't see him, he probably saw the hextech or- hell he might've saw the future and traveled back in time to stop it. he might've saw what viktor had become, something controlled by the hextech and knew the only way to stop it was to kill it

i legitimately do not know what to do because i can’t say anything because if i do it’ll start an argument and im already on the brink of a goddamn panic attack but i also don’t think i have the room to say anything because i was okay with it. but that’s the key word: was. i shouldn’t have to say anything given the fucking circumstances. but I also don’t want them feeling bad or being upset with me for saying something. i don’t know why they would be upset with me. they always find a way.

please i love you i'm begging you bring back suspension of disbelief bring back trusting the audience like. i cannot handle any more dialogue that sounds like a legal document. "hello, i am here to talk to you about the incident from a few minutes ago, because i feel you might be unwell, and i am invested in your personal wellbeing." "thank you, i am unwell because the incident was hurtful to me due to my childhood, which was bad." I CANT!!!!
do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!

“Slopsquatting” in a nutshell:
1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal, that’s how you get math packages and stuff but
2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but
3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So
4. Now the LLM code points to malware.

because here's the thing here's the thing the question was not "would you be more surprised to run into a fairy or a walrus" the question was "would you be more surprised to find a fairy or a walrus AT YOUR DOOR" and while no, i do not believe in fairies and would be surprised to know they EXIST i would NOT be surprised to find one at my door. HOWEVER, if a WALRUS shows up at my door i have to contend with the fact that a walrus somehow made it to my apartment specifically and knocked on my door for god knows what reason. i would be more surprised to know that a fairy EXISTS, of course, but NOT that they're at my door, do you get me?

i’ve started getting so unreasonably cranky at those posts that are like ‘i’m sick of [aspect of popular media] someone should make [opposite thing]!!!’ by people who don’t seem invested in the idea they’re pitching as anything beyond a subversion of the norm. like ok. i see where you’re coming from but where are you actually going. look me in the eyes and give me one good reason you think that story concept is possible to pull off

this is not instagram or whatever other like-based social medium, likes don't matter that much, your experience is not shaped by an all-knowing algorithm, but by you and reblogging is the lifeblood of this godforsaken corner of the internet
if you love tumblr and if you want to show your appreciation for the creators of the content here, you reblog

I think the invention of the term "traumadump" has done discussion of mental health a lot of harm. I keep seeing discourse vs whether or not it's okay to talk about heavy topics with your friends, and like... I feel like there is a very big and important difference between my definition of traumadumping (ie. Frequently and habitually diverting your conversations with others towards your own misery, often with the goal of focusing attention and sympathy towards yourself at the expense of those around you, and without recognizable effort to reciprocate your empathy towards those you are speaking to or to ensure their comfort) VS the mere act of having heavier conversations with those around you. I've seen a lot of backlash to the idea of traumadumping as a concept lately (they paywalled human connection etc etc) but I think it's worth recognizing there is absolutely a kind of behavior that can create a negative feedback loop with this stuff. Especially if you navigate a lot of spaces in social media, it's not uncommon to find people dropping really heavy stuff on complete strangers unprompted. Idk, I think there's a degree of nuance to be had that's maybe getting a bit lost due to everyone having different definitions of what it means to "trauma dump."
