I'm going to cheat and list pairings because I love all of them so much.

1) Jeandré (+Sam in certain universes)

André is such a perfect Cardiophile and mixed with the breath play and knife kink? Perfect. Also my FE medical universe, perfect.

2) Rosquez

A new one, but Marc is a huge cardiophile, and Vale being "the doctor" is a perfect opportunity for some good cardiophilia. The cardiophilia potential for all of MotoGP is so strong.

3) Maximilian and James

Choosing a number 3 is so so hard... So hard. My mind actually went blank because I suddenly forgot all of my favourite paintings.

But our nurse Max universe is so perfect and I love the idea of Max navigating cardiophilia and the challenges it brings in his job and accepting it, but also the soft intimate moments too.

Gloria's Diary

Salim asked me to our school's Senior Dance and I accepted, of course! I can't believe it's finally my turn to attend with my boyfriend after I was the one who told Sal to ask Mary to his dance in the first place. I wore a beautiful yellow patterned dress and Salim looked dashing in his suit. The gym was transformed with balloons and streamers. I spent a lot of time with both my friends and my boyfriend. Dancing with him felt like a dream!

We stole away out back to the courtyard and he told me, "I don't know how I got so lucky to have you, Gloria. You're beautiful, smart, confident, friendly— and I don't know what I'm going to do after school."

"We're only seventeen, Salim," I told him. "We have time. The night is still young. Will you help me make it last?"

And he did.

With both hands he rubs on his temples trying to reduce the pressure of the headache that was threatening to render him useless, no that he had much magic of his own left and the shadows had gone entirily quiet which was unsettling after having them whisper about him for many years now. they had become his companions. with a deep sigh she turns to the other who had been standing in silence with him, he was thankful for it but they had to cover some ground before things got out of hand. "as my emissary, i a feel slightly bad for saying this because it shall be a lot pressure, but you're up." he gives him a tight smile. "we should approach them if we can find them, make sure we are in a peaceful situation."

Julissa nods in understand8ing, "i see, i too make a habit of missing meals, more on purpose of course, besides i think the food tastes much better in the kitchen, much warmer too." she begins getting hungry as she thinks about it, always the one with an insatiable appetite. "not really, but it is pretty, one cannot complain of the luxury and comfort we are being offered when we were unexpected visitors." she shrugs. "what about you?"

Xavier smiled nodding at her. "Well, I would love that. I am afraid I went out, got lost, and missed dinner before I could find my way back." He shrugged. "So, are you finding enough things around here to keep you entertained?" He asked her. He made small talk. He was normally all for it, but right now his mind was elsewhere, where he couldn't say, it just seemed to be wandering and that was how he got lost. Part of that he blamed on having seen a certain High lord across the room earlier, the other part just not being at home and while he felt more comfortable here, he missed home.

And if that's what somebody needs to hear in order to move forward, then I guess saying such things has a purpose. But it's looking pretty shitty for anybody living in Ukraine and to me, it comes across as disrespectful to the people whose lives have been lost in no small part thanks to what goes down in US elections.

I needed somebody today who would say not only that this is not okay, but this is *really* not okay.

Thank you for this. I can't help but write what I feel, even if some of it hasn't been the most optimistic message to send. There is a reality that we need to come to terms with in order to find some way forward. I'm pissed off and I'm disgusted with this country, so I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing because it is therapeutic for me right now and I'm too old to go around punching and kicking people.

I do want to say that I'm also cognizant of the fact that some people just need some time to allow this reality to settle. I certainly don't want to add to the stress or darkness that some of us are feeling right now. There is no denying that this is fucking terrible, but we will regroup and find a way through it. It won't be easy and we're going to have to fight, but I don't want anybody to think that there is genuinely no hope. There's always something that we can do, even if it seems bleak.

If I'm writing something or somebody else is saying something that you're not ready to hear, it's okay to do what you need to do to remain healthy. These posts are going to be here whenever you might feel like reading them. You can and should step away from this if you just need a fucking break. It doesn't mean you're any less ready or willing to fight this battle than anybody else. Even if Trump and the rotten MAGA cult takes control of every lever of power, you can gain a personal victory by not allowing them to completely crush your faith in the future. You can be depressed and despair, but do not give up. Do not give them that power over you. We will find a way. We will get through this. We will figure out what it is that we need to do and who we need to back and how we need to attack, but taking care of your personal health and well-being is more immediately important than the bigger political battle or the next step in the resistance. Take care of yourselves first and we'll still be here and ready to eventually harness this anger and frustration and fucking disgust to defeat the MAGA movement and Trump's Christian nationalist personality cult.

The main thing, though, is that if you're really having a tough time in the immediate future, step away, take some time, go for a walk, read something that has absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump or American politics (if you need suggestions, I always have book recommendations!), and regroup. Again, we'll get through this, and as goofy and weird and ridiculous as Tumblr can be at times, there's always a community of people on this site willing to listen and help each other when we're struggling. So, if you are having trouble getting to tomorrow, reach out because there are scores of people here who will help get there with you.

The Future of the Family Madrigal

Inspired by @hannahhook7744's AU, here's what my new Madrigal family tree looks like, roughly twenty-six years after the events of the movie.

I used the scrapped characters from the Encanto Artbook, as well as some early versions of existing characters to round things out.

EDIT: Added two additional kids, to bring Dolores and Mariano's kid count up to five.

First Row: Pedro Madrigal and Alma Cadenza

Second Row: Félix Castillo, Pepa Madrigal, Alejandra Delgado, Bruno Madrigal, Julieta Madrigal, and Augustín Rojas

Putting a character and familial guide under the cut, because the tree is m e s s y

Alejandra is Bruno's wife, and Miranda, Amelia, and Sofía are their daughters.

Alejandra is a scrapped character who I think was supposed to be the original founder, and the Julieta Character's mother. She appears to be dead in the version of the story she's in, as we see her statue, but not her. I decided to make her Bruno's wife, as I think he deserves a scary sword wife who loves him and their daughters very much.

Miranda was an early version of Julieta, and Alejandra's daughter. Since the two look near identical, they kinda ended up being a package deal. Miranda is technically Bruno's step-daughter, but that doesn't really matter.

Amelia and Sofía are characters from a very early concept. I threw them in as Bruno's daughters, as I liked the idea of one of Bruno's kids having a 'bad' power.

Marcos is Camilo's husband, and Hugo, José, and Héctor are their sons.

There are so many early concepts of Bruno, that there are no less than three in this tree, and they all look different. Marcos is one of those early concepts, back when Bruno was a skinny twink with bright blue eyes. The name Marco was chosen from a list of potential names for Bruno.

Hugo is an early version of Antonio (there are also a lot of those here), one where he's older and selectively mute.

José seems to be from the same era as the twins, although he doesn't get any notes. He seems like he'd be Camilo's kid in any timeline lol.

Héctor is yet another concept of Antonio, but I thought he looked different enough from Hugo that it worked out. I picked the name as a reference to the movie Coco.

Leta, Andrés, Carlos, Avila, and Amada are Dolores and Mariano's children.

Leta was Pepa's twin sister originally, so I thought it made sense to make her her granddaughter instead.

Andrés is another Bruno, and I thought he looked the most like Dolores out of any of the concept characters. Andre was another potential Bruno name, so I named this version of him that.

Carlos is the infamous beta Camilo. Since Cami doesn't have any bio kids, I gave Carlos to Dolores to explain the simillarites. Plus, he does kind of resemble Mariano.

Avila and Amada are two of the four concept girl cousins in the artbook. Picked them because they have Dolores' ears and Pepa's teeth. @hannahhook7744 showed me a concept character from an early script called Amada, and we discovered that Alma's name was originally going to be Avila (in the 2017 version) so I picked those names. (Thanks Hannah!)

Juana is Luisa's wife, and Tomás, Rómulo, and Zoe are their children.

Juana is an early Pepa, back when her gift was indestructability. I paired them together just because Luisa needs a laid back gf to counteract The Anxiety. Her name is actually a beta Julieta name.

Tomás and Rómulo are a pair of twins that appeared only once in a family portrait. There are very limited boy concepts, so I snagged these guys too. Tomás means "twin" and Rómulo is the Spanish form of Romulus, a very famous twin.

Zoe is from the same era as José, Amelia, and Sofía. She's basically the poster child for Scrapped Encanto Characters.

Bubo is Mirabel's husband and Óscar, Beatriz, and Lidia are their children.

Bubo is Isa's scrapped love interest, but I'd already planned on having Isa stay single when I learned about him, so I ditched the OC I gave to Mirabel, and gave Bubo to her. They both have glasses, so I think they'd be cute together.

Óscar is the third Bruno, and the one who gets the Óscar name. I was originally using a different Óscar, but figured that this one looks the most like Bubo. The name is the most widely used name for beta Bruno.

Beatriz is a beta Mirabel, so obviously I made her her daughter.

Lidia is a Luisa, and looks decently enough like canon Mirabel and Bubo. Lidia was supposedly Luisa's name before it was Luisa.

Isabela has no partner, but Princesa, Fuega, and Mariana are her daughters.

Princesa is a bit of an enigma to me. I think she was supposed to be an aunt of some kind, maybe Augustín's sister? It's never made very clear. She's shown to be dating/married to a beta Mariano, and potentially the mother of the four girl cousins? Anyway, I aged her down so I could use her as Isabela's daughter.

Fuega was supposed to be Isabela's other sister/cousin, one who was jealous of her gift and 'perfect' status.

Mariana seems to be a veeeeery early version of Mirabel. The name also stems from an early version of Mirabel.

I have bios for all the kids, I just need to post them.

Casita made this decision to avoid bad memories for the kids: this reason is also why Yanamaria is faded and scratched out.

As for why Alejandra's parents are faded but not removed from the tree or scratched out? Well, she had complicated feelings on them even after Pedro's family took her in but she didn't hate them.

As for why Bruno's fake wife is on the tree despite not existing? Well, Casita had to cover up the fact the kids were adopted and it would look suspicious if she wasn't on the tree.

School's been going well. I always walk with Betsy and Naomi and we love to laugh together. Today Mr. Davenport made everyone give a speech in front of the class. Everyone was nervous but once I got up there I think I did a good job. Having an actress as a mother might've worked to my advantage.

Betsy and Victor invited Salim to study with us 'cause she says Salim is good at history and he can help us in Mr. Davenport's class. Not that I need much help, as my grades are pretty good. We did a lot more joking around than actually studying about the Declaration of Independence, though.

Given how thoroughly it's diffused into popular culture it's obviously not gonna go away for any reason other than being unfashionable, but I really do find that "Chudjack" grotesque.

Like, you guys know it's a caricature of a real guy, right? Patrick Crusius? A real guy who killed 23 real people?

I can't even imagine what it'd be like to have a loved one taken away from me like that, only to see their killer's image take on such a ghoulish half-life.

I am not interested in seeing memes where the icon of Patrick Crusius is depicted as a cartoonish stand-in for online reactionaries. I do not want to see subversive takes on Patrick Crusius where he is depicted as "redeemed". He murdered 23 people. He's still on trial (state charges) for murdering 23 people. On the federal level he pled guilty to 45 murder and 45 hate crime charges.
