Moustead + Animal Control AU
Jay didn't know how to do anything but follow.
After coming home again, he was the one floundering. With the divorce finalized and his brother halfway across the country, he had no choice but to follow along on the heels of his best friend. Mouse managed to get a job, one that paid enough to pay for an apartment. The space wasn't exactly meant for two people, with one bedroom, a small bathroom, and a kitchen that was barely big enough for one body at a time, but it was enough, temporarily.
It didn't have to be forever. It was just until he got back on his feet again, since he couldn't exactly go back to working in Intelligence, and whatever odd job he picked up didn't pay enough to live off of. He still had his truck, but delivering food around Chicago for less than minimum wage was far from ideal.
Then, he got lucky.
"You know, my truck partner got promoted. I can put in a good word, if you want to apply while we have openings." "As great as that sounds, I don't want to work for Animal Control." "Why not? You might even get to hang out with me all day. That would be fun." "Mouse, with all due respect, I already live on your couch. I don't think we could handle spending that much more time together." "Just apply. If you don't want the job, you can say no."
He felt stupid, filling out the same government form he was used to filling out just for a job that boiled down to cats in trees and stray dogs in alleys. It was ridiculous to think that he could have been next in line to lead the Intelligence Unit, with his wife at his side, and he didn't have any of it because he'd thrown it all away in the middle of an identity crisis. Surely stooping so low as to ride around in a white van all day couldn't really be better than what he was afraid of turning into before.
But Jay applied, and the job was offered to him, and, if he was being honest with himself, it wasn't that different from the army. He was in a truck all day, next to his best friend, and it was fun. They got to choose the music, and when they took a break, and where they got lunch. It even made carpooling easier. And, with two incomes, it didn't take more than a couple months to save up for an apartment that could actually accommodate both of them.
He just hadn't accounted for how much of the job had nothing to do with stay dogs and stuck cats.

Hi! So.... How is Zombie!Aiden doing nowadays? (As you can tell, I've found your necromancer au, and I'm hooked)
Tumblr media
A continuation of this from my necromancer!au. With the skeleton guys in the beginning (something that this Jaskier doesn't remember) it was more lighthearted. And it isn't the first time that corpses start to get reanimated it Jaskiers proximity too, but this time he pulled Aiden out of the afterlife and well- this is more of a warm bodies scenario and he is under Jaskiers thrall, if Jaskier likes it or not. lambert is so not going to be amused

Day 18 of DCA Promptober: Beast
He probably got out while he was in a stupor, he gets stupid hangry fresh after a shift and the local game are always sure to suffer for it
One of Sun’s worst fears is that one day the carcass he comes-to half-devoured is a person. Moon, Monty, and the rest of the glams have been diligent in watching over him on moon weeks for years, but things like this do happen and it haunts his nightmares how easy it is for him to potentially maul someone he cares about
Or worse: share his “predicament” with them

BEAST MODE 2.0
.
This is a single redraw what I wanted to do and see the comparison with the old drawing style that I have been working on over the years, the truth is I am happy to have a characteristic style for this feral boy itself, making it more brutal and epic! 👀
.
ENJOY!!!

sincerely, I need more of that Animal Control AU. just the wonderfulness of a guy named Mouse working with animals, absolutely love it
Aw, thank you! 💜
Honestly, that AU just came out of me rewatching Animal Control s1 (it airs on Fox, we don't have cable so I watch on Hulu) before s2 aired, and I just... I thought it would be really funny if Mouse was super chill about everything while Jay complained the whole time?
It also lets me use a headcanon that I've talked very little about? Because it's not relevant to most of my fics, but my headcanon of How Mouse Was Raised is. He was expected to get into a good university, and he did get accepted into MIT, and that wasn't just through good grades and a sport. He also packed his resumé with community service and volunteer work - in my head, half of those hours were at an animal shelter, working adoption days and helping out whenever else he was needed. And that doubled as giving him a good reputation for whatever gossip column journalist wanted to jump on when doing another write up on the Gerwitzes.
So, at least in my head, Mouse is really good with animals. Animal Control is a job he really loves because it connects him to that part of his teenage years that he actually enjoyed. That volunteer work got him out of the house for a while, and his mother approved of it, and it's just that time of his life that was... good? Before he dropped out of school and started to become a disappointment.
Meanwhile, Jay screams and worries when Mouse approaches a loose snake and confidently calls it a "friendly noodle."

Fun Fact! How does this fucking work?
At any point, you might've wondered 'Hey how does this work geographically? Mob Psycho abides by normal logic and Saiki K abides by anime logic. How can they both coexist?'
and it's quite simple! For you see
Saiki's influence/manipulation over the world is still very much in effect in most areas. It just so happens that Seasoning City has a extremely large concentration of Psychics, along with a specific psychic that is immensely powerful. This concentration makes it so that Seasoning City is immune to what Saiki attempted to do. As Mob gets older and more psychics are discovered/born, this becomes more pronounced. Think of it a bit like how Adam from Good Omens affects Tadfield.
It gets to the point where's sort of an aura of 'normal' that follows the citizens of Seasoning City. For non-psychics, if they leave the city, they're definitely more resistant to harm than they otherwise would be, but strange occurrences, like the type that happen frequently in Saiki K, don't tend to happen to them much or they're kept to a minimum. (Though if they do happen, there's something in their mind that rewrites it to be normal.)
For people who spend a lot time around psychics like Reigen or Ritsu, before his powers emerged, it's even stronger. Their resistance to harm remains firmly the same as before with serious injuries healing a bit quicker as long as they stay out of Seasoning City. Their presence also tends to make the people around them a bit more normal in a sense. Injuries that they'd normally heal instantly from need a band-aid, items that they'd normally have no prob with are suddenly weirdly heavy to them (Ex: Cars, tables, etc) . Strange occurrences happen to them less but when they do happen, their mind don't bother rewriting it and just accept it at face value
But it's the strongest for psychics. For psychics, everything stays the same for them. They don't abide by anime logic and everyone within a certain radius of them abides by normal logic. This radius changes based on power level, Ritsu is roughly 20ft, Teru is 30-40ish, Serizawa is about 70ish, and Mob's is roughly 120 feet (and it grows whenever he uses his powers or is very emotional). As long as a person that's not from Seasoning City is within that 'normal' radius, they abide by Mob Psycho Logic.
For Saiki, he's immune to the Normal Radius due to being a psychic himself. Aiura and Torisuka are also immune to it but in a much lesser way due to being quite weak.
Teruhashi, however, is not a psychic. Take that as you will : )

ORV Characters Ranked by Least to Most Likely to Commit White Collar Crime
You guys said you wanted my ORV takes, and I try not to say things unsolicited, so I'll drop the good meta-analysis and literary criticism that I'm known for. For comedy purposes please pretend that ORV is American.
Omniscent Reader's Viewpoint characters broken down by likelihood to commit white collar crime, least to most:
Lee Hyeonseong: he's convinced that he's never committed a crime in his life. Intentionally, of course not. Unintentionally, he takes shopping for groceries extremely seriously, and is sometimes so wrapped up in the fruit inspection experience that he'll leave without paying. Due to his innocent face, bulk, and sheer confidence, he's never caught. In an economically thrifty maneuver, KDJ always sends him on snack runs for parties and texts him math problems while he's there. He insists it's like couponing. It's not couponing.
Jeong Huiwon: similarly, of course she would never choose to commit a crime. Also similarly, when KDJ says, 'Hey, wanna commit a crime?' she always participates. Since the crime is normally targeted at rich people, KDJ can usually morally justify it to her. She calls this harm reduction. It's not harm reduction.
Lee Jihye: would love to commit a crime in theory, almost never in practice. She has an idealized image in her mind of the ideal high school experience and it involves grand theft auto. However, the worst she ever gets is breaking & entering and trespassing, mostly because she didn't stop to wonder if the building was abandoned or not. She can't even shoplift from Claire's.
Shin Yuseung: the kind of kid who sets the dissection frogs in the school laboratory free. Looks up illegal exotic animal trading on the deepweb and sighs in longing. But exotic pet trading isn't very Animal Rights of her, so she just leaks information to the CIA and busts the rings. Lee Gilyeong convinces her to track down shady sellers on Craigslist and bust their kneecaps. Neither of them view this as significantly different from the dissection frog liberation. KDJ gets her a rescued exotic cat for her birthday as a reward.
Lee Gilyeong: self-explanatory.
Han Suyeong: she's been pirating media since she was eleven and has never stopped. World-class expert in pirating everything. She's the unsung hero who rips the CDs and games and puts them online. Runs the pirating websites. Has never paid for a webnovel or manwha or manga in her life. Despite this, she insists that pirating books is immoral and that people should support small authors. The FBI knows she exists and has been trying to catch her for years. She brags about this constantly.
Yoo Sangah: has committed tax fraud before, will commit tax fraud tomorrow, is currently committing tax fraud. Embezzles her company's embezzlement. Insists that she's only committing victimless crimes, mainly because she doesn't view business executives as people. Her ability to evade the IRS is mythological and it's how KDJ got a crush on her.
Yoo Junghyeok: does not understand adult life well enough to knowingly commit any sort of white collar crime. He is this high on the list because he enables and helps KDJ in literally everything he does, especially using his clout as an influencer. This is because KDJ has convinced him that these things aren't crimes, and he doesn't understand adult life well enough to figure it out.
Kim Dokja: has done every white collar crime under the sun. I can't emphasize enough how much crime he does. He's currently blackmailing SYS's college tuition out of a US Senator. HSY makes the shell companies and launders so much money with him. Alternates between running a pyramid scheme and a ponzi scheme depending on the month. Started a cult that one time but we don't like to talk about that. Runs the betting ring for YJH's esports games. Fixes the games. YJH does not know he does this, but KDJ splits the profits and Yoo Mia also needs a college tuition so he decides not to think about it too hard. Big into crypto and runs every crypto scam you can possibly think of, which is normally where the the ponzi schemes come in. Steals YJH's identity often. Somehow everything he does is technically legal. The only crime he does not commit is pirating. Exclusively targets the wealthy and ultra-wealthy and has never stolen money from a poor person. Sugar daddies all of his friends and pays all college tuitions. Anonymously yet obviously sponsors huge amounts of money to YJH's Twitch streams, mostly in apology for the ID theft. Would really rather be living a quiet life in a big house with all of his friends, but that big house ain't gonna pay for itself.
