-the nightwings in renewal are living in anarchy rite neow. its going pretty good for them tbh theyre kinda chilling i guess

-the sandwing kingdom is NOT doing as well as renewal is. around a third of the dragons think that thorn is unfit to rule and onyx has siezed the scorpion den and taken leadership of the rebels; theyre calling themselves the 'serpentcoil rebellion' and onyx has a sick crown with an onyx rattlesnake on it,, shes letting dragons from any tribe join her little rebellion but obviously they have to like. swear loyalty and shit. its pretty crazy yall

-the chaos in the ice kingdom has pretty much settled down. the ~20-25% of the icewings that WERENT asymptomatic have pretty much died out and since asymptomatic dragons are 'immune,' they're actually doing pretty good!! snowfall has taken advantage of her tribe's immunity to send healers to the sky, rainforest, and sand kingdoms. renewal is currently rejecting icewing aid

-literally nobody knows whats up with the mudwings. anyone who goes into that kingdom does not come out

-i alr said this in another post but ruby (who has crazy military strength) wrote to coral like 'yo dawg. send seawings to pantala and let them know about the situation' so she sent shark moray and some other dragons and now that theyre in pantala queen jewel and the silkwing assembly were like 'you guys cant go back for now btw. or else you guys might get sick' so theyre just there for now (coral is getting antsy..)

Ello! Can you draw my boy, urchin? He’s a sea/ice hybrid with hive Heritage. He also has a animus girlfriend called bintarong, who’s a sky/rain hybrid. He lives in possibility and he grows flowers. All of his little spikes are poisonous, but that’s ok because bintarong accidentally Enchanted her scale to be invincible, like turtle did. Urchin has insomnia, and they have a pet sulfur crested cockatoo. His favorite food is oysters, and her favorite food is mangos.

Wings of Fire Dragon Guide, Part Three: RainWings and IceWings

This is a RainWing, or rainforest dragon. Their scales can be any color of the rainbow. They can camouflage, have prehensile tails, and can shoot shoot acidic venom from their front fangs, which only a relative's can neutralize. They live in a hidden city among the trees of the Rainforest Kingdom. Their diet consists of mainly fruits, such as pineapples, coconuts, bananas, oranges, mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, etc., but they if it came down to it, they could eat meat, they just prefer not to. Their names can be such as:

Fruits: Pineapple, Coconut, Mango...

Rainforest plants: Liana, Mangrove, Bromeliad, Orchid...

Rainforest animals: Python, Bullfrog, Tamarin, Kinkajou...

Grand or beautiful adjectives: Handsome, Exquisite, Dazzling, Grandeur, Glory...

This is an IceWing, or ice dragon. They have pale white, pale blue, silvery, pale purple, or even opalescent scales. They can withstand freezing temperatures, withstand bright light, radiate a chill from their scales, have serrated claws, and can breathe frostbreath, which when it used on a dragon or plant, can freeze an area, and if untreated, will cause the area to blacken and die. They live in the tundras of the Ice Kingdom, and their diet consists of artic and antarctic animals, such as seals, whales, caribou, polar bears, and orcas, and have been known to eat moss and seafood such as crabs and fish. They have had a hierarchy, which is the Seven Circles for the nobility. They used to have animus dragons, but their last one eloped with a NightWing, and one of their eggs hatched the first NightWing animus (and the most dangerous one) Darkstalker. Their names can be such as:

Arctic and antarctic animals: Narwhal, Mink, Polar Bear, Caribou, Penguin...

Wintery conditions: Arctic, Permafrost...

Winter weather: Snowflake, Hailstorm, Blizzard, Whiteout...

White gems: Diamond, Crystal, Opal...

Ice formations: Glacier, Icicle...

Cold landscapes: Tundra, Fjord...

Words that mean white: Alba, Hvitur...

I’m stil having some challenges when it comes to channeling the animu and mango style with art since a lot of it has exited my visual library over the years. I’m not too disappointed but I’m still searching for a look that compliments my strengths cuz stuff like cell-shading and clean lines is not really my thing! The work I make professionally tends to be very organic and hand-made.

I don't know that I've ever encountered a character who simultaneously pulls on genuinely disturbing themes (genocide survivor + no worth, men covet and entitled to her body, self-harm implications) and is so completely discarded by the narrative as comic relief/filler doomed romance.

Not really? Bleach never piqued my interest and from what I've seen Naruto's lows are so bad they almost ruin how good the highs are so its not worth it

I’m thinking about the time when I was still in a toxic polycule last year when I publicly lamented (and still do) the fact that a lot of Japanese girl idol games/series are terrible when it comes to character diversity in skin and body type. Like, across the entire Love Live franchise, there’s only one girl that could reasonably be considered “dark-skinned” and she’s only just a side character, Aikatsu has like one background character, and Bandori and Project Sekai have like none. I can never really get into those series because of how little and effort they do, no matter how much gay shipping there is. So, to get back to the point, when I did, my girlfriends agreed it was bad, but tried to justify/handwave it off like it was just because Japanese isn’t as “racially diverse” or “progressive.”

And like, I think it’s funny how one of the people I dated in that relationship is a white woman who has never really left her 90+% white ethnostate of a Canadian province, acting like she knows a damn thing about Japan besides the shit she learned from her animus and mangos. Now she’s a VTuber who calls herself a “nekomata slime girl” and tries to act like she knows Japanese, it’s pathetic honestly. So you say Japan isn’t as racially diverse then? Ok, well that’s funny, because the Eizouken author said otherwise when recounting his experiences of growing up in high school, and even criticized anime and manga for not reflecting that diversity. So you say that there aren’t more trans characters in anime/manga because Japan isn’t a “progressive” bastion? Compared to what? The US? Where I am subjected to a daily news cycle of politicians wanting to strip me of almost all of my human rights? That’s not to absolve Japan of any of its many wrongdoings, but the fucking nerve and gall to talk as if you know everything.

I can only imagine the chaos in Tiny Talons au when reader gets just old enough to run around (I mean probably not well, and earlier then they should have but that’s hardly important) and they just keep trying to run away to find something who will understand them

Oh heavens! Yep, Tiny Talons Reader would want to do that. Let me try and explain the possible Wings of Fire ages for y'all (which is more-or-less a fan headcanon, which I will be using for the aus):

Imagine in the Wings of Fire world, with its three moons, that each dragon year is actually three human years. Let me put it in a chart-like form, as so:

Dragon | Human

• 1 year = 3 years old

• 2 years = 6 years old

• 3 years = 9 years old

• 4 years = 12 years old

• 5 years = 15 years old

• 6 years = 18 years old

• 7 years = 21 years old

After 7 years, a dragon is considered an adult, and starts to age slower. The oldest known dragon to live in the series without the aid of animus magic lived to be 110 years old... (So wouod they be, like... 330 in human years? I don't know)

To be fair, after 7 years, the ages kinda... get weird? Because a dragon in their 70s could still have kids, right? But they'd be older. But an elderly dragon is considered like, 90 years and up. So the ages are up to interpretation. Feel free to imagine them as you like.

In the Wings of Fire series, baby dragons have been known to be able to speak after a few days, but sometimes after a few months. SkyWing baby dragonets can fly at about seven to nine months old. Some baby dragonets can run and walk around, others have been more baby-like. They have teeth I think, when they hatch? So they're already able to eat some things like fish and mangoes.

For my 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AU (and 🥚Tiny Heir❄ AU) baby dragonets need extra help the first few months after hatching. They need to be held a lot, they need to be fed every few hours, they need nap times, and are a bit wobbly on their feet until about four months old (which by the age theory would be 1 human year for a dragon). I'm making them a little more in need of nurture and care, but trying to stick to the faster growth of dragons.

For my 🥚Tiny Talons🐉 AUs, let's put it like this: baby dragonets, once hatched, need lots of attention and care and surveillance for the first four months to year of their life. They're small, they're weak, and can't do a lot on their own. They can walk, yes, but they can't fly, they can't hunt, they can't talk besides a few baby words if at all, and they have the limits of well, a baby. A dragon baby's limits, so not as long or quite as helpless as a human baby.

A lot of this I had to add in, as not much information is given on baby dragonets, so this information is what I know from the series, my own personal thoughts and headcanons, and what headcanons the Wings of Fire fandom have used.
