since in total drama rama Cody and Duncan became friends in the end and Duncan’s parents are also cops in the future , someone should write a fic or a fan comic where they arrest Sierra for being the biggest red flag on the planet to Cody

Hoo boy time to share my long ass hc again

So right at the beginning of ROTI we see Sierra hugging Cody tightly right? Sierra also mentions during AS that she uses her phone to contact Cody and the reason she started having hallucinations is because Mal broke her phone and she no longer had a way to reach him. Wether some people like it or not, this proves that Sierra and Cody remained in contact during the ~year and a few months in between WT and AS. I hc that they’re both from Mississauga, just opposite sides of it, so with only a ~45 min drive between them they had no issues seeing eachother after the show ended & hung out super regularly after WT. Sierra def calmed down a bit overtime and as he actually got to know her as friend and not just “weirdo who harasses me nonstop” Cody just ended up liking her more and more. He had plans to ask her out, but then she got called back for All Stars while he didn’t and didn’t get the chance. He watched the season and was rightfully horrified at Sierra’s behavior, but realized that Sierra’s biggest problem was that she was attached to him to an unhealthy degree and clearly there was something wrong for her mentally. We know from his contestant bio Cody is rich af and gets a huge allowance, so when she returned home from AS Cody put his foot down and said he was going to enroll her in therapy to help her get better and she agreed that was probably a good idea. Therapy not only helped sierra find out she was severely autistic but also taught her important strategies and coping mechanisms for her childhood trauma that led her to being the way she is (I have a whole separate hc about that if anyone wants to know) and overtime actually did make significant improvements. She still loves Cody more than anything else, but she learned the importance of, yk, realizing he has boundaries that she needs to respect. Around 1.5-2ish years after she started therapy Cody determined she made enough improvements and asked her out, and given they were both dedicated to putting in the work to make the relationship healthy it lasted & at the time of the reboot they are married with 3 children.

Being realistic, gen 1 is probably never coming back to total drama outside of cameos; I can certainly see them doing another speaking cameo with some of the more popular characters like what they did with Owen if the reboot ever gets a third season but I’m very doubtful we’re ever gonna see sierra or Cody again and if we do it’s gonna be a like, split second cameo. In the hypothetical scenario that Cody and sierra were to both come back for another season, I really wouldn’t want coderra to become canon unless they at least mention sierra being enrolled in some kind of counseling AND she never does anything shitty to Cody at all during their seasons run. Making Coderra canon without Sierra being called out for her problematic actions doesn’t exactly send the best message.

I do plan on tagging this with the TD tags and stuff so for anyone seeing this who doesn’t already know me, DNI if you can’t respect the fact that I ship fanon coderra, thanks

General Opinion over said character: Sighs. Sierra’s such an interesting concept. We all know this. But then they pared her with Cody. And, I get the concept, I get why they would want to parody the fandom’s love of Cody and stereotypes of boy band fans, but it’s too much man. It’s too uncomfortable, too creepy, too much of a nightmare situation for Cody to be in. It makes both characters so much worse. And I dare say Sierra’s a fun character when she isn’t thinking about Cody. But she gets so bad. She’s terrible in France, she’s terrible in China, she’s terrible in All Stars (what an insult to take her character in that direction when she could have been free of Cody).

Fanon Sierra is good. I see the vision, I partake in the vision from time to time even.

what are your favorite and least favorite ships?

I might ruffle some feathers, sorry:

Favorite Ships:

1. Jacsee - I think I've stated why so many times so I won't even bother explaining again, or else we'll be here for hours.

2. MacSanders - They're super underrated. There's no way that they WEREN'T together during RR. Their chemistry in the show seems a lot more than just friends. The way MacArthur was like, "I play nice with you allll the time" like c'mon lol they're dating. Honestly I wish there was more content of them. You can never get enough MacSanders content.

3. Nowen - When I joined the fandom I saw them as a BROtp (I used to like Noco) but then my love for Nowen grew along with my love for the fandom, it's very contagious :) I think they had wonderful chemistry and @realitytvpros has FANTASTIC artwork of them (that's another thing, the fan art for Nowen is wonderful)

4. Crimsonennui - the best canon ship of the show, hands down (I think Jashawn and Lyler are probably the next best ships) even though they are very monotonous, you can obviously tell they love and care very deeply with each other; they don't need to show this with exaggerated PDA (like some couples) and having some dramatic spur-of-the-moment kiss - it is very obvious that they're in love.

5. Alenoah - This is Larson's fault lmao. Honestly, Alenoah (the ship) has been growing on me a lot. Something that really makes me ship characters is fan-art, but especially fanfics. I'm a bookworm, so if I see someone write a story in which they bring two characters together and show them having awesome chemistry, it's very contagious and I'll start liking it, which is exactly what happened with Alenoah. Good writing really helped me enjoy the ship (check out @alenoah's fic Pretty Poisonous,you'll see what I mean)

Least Favorite Ships:

1. Gw//ody - I’m sorry, but this makes me incredibly uncomfortable. I don’t want to be mean, but this is based on personal things I’d rather not get into. 

2. Co//derra - Same thing as Gw//ody, though I do like platonic Co//derra after canon (see @td-worrisometruths for their stuff, it’s great!)

3. No//co - Surprising, isn’t it? I’ve come to the realization that most ships involving Cody aren’t very good. I used to like Cody, but then my love for him sort of diminished over time. Cody just isn’t that appealing to me. Also, there was this whole drama about one of the No//co artists drawing very... fetish-y art even though they’re 16. Also, I never realized when I first joined how bait-y the Big Sleep episode was. Then I came to the realization that Noah would probably make Cody cry. 

4. Tom//ques - Tom//ques is basically No//co, but Tom and Jacques are adults so people think it’s okay to fetishize mlm and write gay smut of them. Say what you want about No//co, but there had been some fics in which it was centered around building a relationship. I cannot say the same for Tom//ques. Literally the only Tom//ques fics I’ve seen were smut. Shipping the two most effeminate men on the show isn’t the progressive take you think it is. This is going to sound awful, but I can’t bring myself to like Tom//ques because some Tom//ques shippers went after me because I shipped Jacsee, calling me immoral for it, and claimed that Tom//ques was “supposed to be canon” so I’m erasing mlm. Besides, the superior mlm ship for Jacques is him and Ryan :) But I love a Tom//ques friendship. I’ve said this so many times, but platonic Tom//ques is awesome.

5. Sc//ax - I mean, it’s mostly because I see Scarlett as a lesbian (and I ship her with OC named Devin!), but even if I didn’t I just don’t understand the appeal. Someone compared them to Drakken and Shego from Kim Possible, which I get, but like... no lol (Even though I do ship Drakgo) Scarlett legitimately cannot stand Max, and Max says that “evil doesn’t date” so I don’t really see them as a couple, sorry.

I’m keeping this one as clean as possible as I know a few people I interact with seem to really like them. I don’t really like Sierra or Cody so I don’t particularly care for the ship regardless of all the drama around it being toxic. I vaguely remember seeing posts and Discord messages saying how the ship could have been handled that focus more on their impact as a couple that seem promising but overall they’re not really my thing.

Fingers crossed I tag this properly so it doesn’t come up in the positive tags for the characters and ship but please let me know if it does!

Generally I can accept others not liking the same ships I do but I stg some of the antis need to stfu.

"You can't ship them, it's not canon!" Does it look like I care. Do you even like having fun.

"You can't ship them, it's unhealthy/toxic!" Literally who cares. Toxic ships can be fun. And I'm saying this as someone who doesn't even particularly enjoy them.

"They don't have chemistry! They don't even interact!" Use your imagination then. The fandom is a sandpit and we're all in this together.

Antis are literally some of the rudest, holier-than-thou and frustrating people to be around. Why do they always have to cross-examine and insult people just because someone ships Coderra. You're not better than me because you don't like Duncney. Genuinely do they even like being in fandom spaces?

Sorry for the rant, antis just really get my goat.

honestly maybe im weird, but i kinda wish coderra happened.. but like in reverse. So it isn’t Cody hating Sierra and then liking her in the end. Instead, Cody likes Sierra in the beginning, they click.. and then it goes downhill.  A lot of pro-coderra takes I’ve seen are about how this is the one girl who loves Cody, unconditionally. And smth about him becoming a better person by accepting Sierra’s flaws? But I don’t think you should just accept your stalker’s flaws lol. And her being the one girl that likes you, seems more like “settling” and “desperation.” then anything else. But Cody is kinda desperate lol. So I’d like him to get with Sierra, and then realize that even though he appreciates her attention, that she’s really a creep and takes it too far. And on Sierra’s side, I think it would be cool if it was a “don’t meet your celebrities” kinda deal, or a commentary on toxic parasocial relationships, (or how fans kinda Assume the best of their idols, but their idols are... just people. You know?) And then they breakup and let each other go. And Sierra gets a life. Her own life - not one that’s completely centered around another person. Even in the World Tour finale, when she yells at Cody to not give up for the sake of his fans, she’s still doing everything for his sake and his win.  Also idk if anyone else has said this yet, but I find it kinda weird, that Sierra, a strong black woman, is setting her life down to serve a random white man, who she believes is superior to all else? Just another reason to not want them to actually get together in the end. So I’m okay with coderra happening (because it’d be interesting) but not coderra endgame.
