Marsha Warfield

911 fox fans know her as Antonia 'Toni' Wilson, mother to firefighter Hen Wilson. I believe Hen first mentions her mother in a chat with Bobby in (2x11) and Toni herself arrives in 4x07.

Marsha is a comedian and an actor, born in Chicago. She received her big comic career break in 1977 as a member of Richard Pryor's controversial TV sketch show.

She also appeared in Soul Train and in the music video for Gladys Knight's "Men".

Marsha was a long-running star in Golden Girls spin-off 'The Empty Nest' (see left) as a grouchy doctor, and as the tough, no-nonsense bailiff in the sitcom 'Night Court' (see right). She hosted (and executive produced) a daytime talk show 'The Marsha Warfield Show' that did not get renewed [1990, IMDb page]. That set included a basketball hoop, and she'd shoot a 2-pointer at the beginning of every episode.

Her 2019 comedy tour was "tackling issues including politics, being black, coming out as a gay woman, and her affair with pizza." A quote about her protracted coming out is found on her wiki.

She most recently appeared in a comedy variety special 'Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration' [snippet]. Also in the latest series of 'The Upshaws' and a sequel of 'The Night Court'.

Hi,

I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.

I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.

I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

She is supposed to start over, find people she likes and create a network of people they can use to gain control of high society.

“If he backs out of the deal and you’re pregnant, you’ll be married off to that Republican in New Jersey, Evita.” Tiago warned and she dismissed it when she saw her gringo walk into the ballroom.

“He won’t back out, I’ve seen it. Your godson will be youngest President of the United States, mark my words.” The witch couldn’t help but give her groom her most radiant smile.

And sure enough, the wedding is an affair to remember.

All the who is who of Boston and even New York and the Pope himself blessing the union. She is decked out in the family ruby parure, and Eva is sure Boston is out of red roses because Jack bought them all for her.

They aren’t in love, but something tells the witch its just a matter of time.

How could it not, they were perfect for each other?

Their honeymoon in Florida had been wonderful, and for the rest of their stay in Washington DC, they make good use of Abraham Lincoln’s bed. A reward for giving the First Lady good news regarding the ill health of President Wilson after Eleanor Roosevelt confided in her about Eva’s clairvoyance.

Jack had not wasted a moment to show how proud he was of his woman for scoring them such an invitation and continued to teach her every trick every whore had shown him.

When Eva hears it again, Jack is drunk as hell.

He had gone out to some club he took over and celebrated like old times. Jack had risen high, but he missed the violence, the adrenaline and danger of his former life.

Mainly because the last time she truly let herself fall in love with someone, they married her cousin and led her to a downward spiral so awful she let herself get caught in hopes Carranza would just shoot her already.

“Yeah, wouldn’t be here with you if I didn’t, sweetheart.” He answered honestly, inhibited by the alcohol and totally going to forget in the morning when he wakes up with a hangover from hell. “You’re the only one I want since that day in the church.”

“Even now that I’m pregnant with twins?” Eva teased him enjoying the show he was giving her.

He’d lost his shirt on the stairs, kicked off his shoes just inside the bedroom and tossed her his undershirt as she waited in bed.

“Even pregnant with the future president of the United fucking States of America and his VP.” He answered gesturing for her to undo his trousers only for her to refuse.

He did try to fuck other women, after all.

“I love you.” He said in a whisper once he got in bed with her.

“Tell me when you’re sober, Jack.” Eva responded and he promised to do so. Good thing he won’t remember this in the morning.

Nothing succeeds like excess. That seems to have been Ken Russell's motto, well displayed in The Boy Friend. As I watched it, I thought the first parody of Busby Berkeley's kaleidoscopic production numbers for Warner Bros. musicals was brilliant. The second was entertaining. The third was ... well, maybe the law of diminishing returns had set in. The original stage musical was a campy sendup of the kind of musical comedies that P.G. Wodehouse, Guy Bolton, and Jerome Kern used to create for the Princess Theatre and later in the 1920s: tuneful light romances with silly plots. But for the movie, Russell superadds a campy sendup of the backstage movie musicals of the 1930s, borrowing plot and even dialogue from 42nd Street (Lloyd Bacon, 1933), hence the Berkeley parodies. I first saw The Boy Friend around the time of its first release, and enjoyed it. But watching it again now, I found myself looking at the clock after the first hour and a half passed. The version I had seen in the theater was the one MGM had cut by 25 minutes; the restored version runs an exhausting two hours and 17 minutes. That said, there is much to enjoy about Russell's movie, especially the vividly colored production design by Tony Walton and costumes by Shirley Russell (the director's wife). The presence of the great Tommy Tune in the cast is also a plus. The Sandy Wilson songs are pleasantly hummable, and the interpolation of two songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed that were featured in Singin' in the Rain (Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly, 1952) is nice. But a little camp goes a long way, and piling camp on camp can be tiresome, especially if the camp is done the way Russell does it: with a smirk rather than a wink.
