Crossing Worlds: Antoni Tàpies, September 11, and the Unspoken Power of Architecture

On September 11, 1923, the artist Antoni Tàpies was born—a figure whose work would be defined by the symbolic power of the cross. Fast forward to September 11, 2001, the world witnessed the tragic destruction of the World Trade Center, designed by architect Minoru Yamasaki.
