watching the last episode of Infinite Darkness and hearing Patrick call Leon a hero at the same moment as Leon is having to grapple with the guilt of partaking in yet ANOTHER government conspiracy/cover up and then having Claire tell him "that outfit doesn't suit him" in reference to that decision he makes, only futher compounding the feelings of self-loathing at the things this job is forcing him to do, a job he didn't even WANT, a job he was blackmailed into and can't walk away from, because if it's not Sherry's safety being used to keep him in check, then it's the crippling feeling of responsibility and sense of duty that keeps Leon from walking away from it all !!!!!!

speaking of d. h. lawrence 🥴 on the advice of my thesis supervisor i will (once again) be focusing mostly on his work ("stick to what you know" isn't groundbreaking wisdom but it is really good advice for someone who is writing a final thesis, i.e. a text that is meant to showcase your expertise. 🙃)
