so many people just hear "dick was a cop" and go "eww im gonna pretend i didnt see that" and like. if its just bc you cant handle the subject matter thats one thing, but often times its just. performative. especially because the actually storyline is so much about dick trying (and as far as ive gotten to reading so far, failing) to make a change in the system and be a "good cop". it's an extremely heavy but genuinely very interesting storyline. dick does find other "good cops", but they're very much the minority and usually keep their heads down, because cops are bastards and will ruin the lives of "fellow officers" who try and do things right. they try to frame dick for murder at one point and everything.

I don't know what's supposed to be "insufferably annoying" about a woman like Lana when largely keeps to herself unlike 98% of hit artists out there but you can call out her crazy stans without dragging her unnecessarily. Don't know why people can't defend a woman without making an effort to tear her down in the same breath.
look, i love lana's music and her artistry. i also do think there are ethical ways to separate art from the artist and enjoy the work of problematic people and where you draw that boundary is ultimately a quite personal decision.
that said . . . if you can honestly look at her little "question for the culture" fiasco and not understand why she's a teeny bit insufferable, idk how to help you, beloved

so important to approach every story with the conviction that the antagonist is right. attolia was in a bind she literally couldn't help it. as for sasha putting work before a friendship is sometimes what you have to do to survive; a stone heart is just necessary at that point. do perfectionist freaks have no rights. delilah? well really what doesn't building a lesbian coven of witches from scratch give you the right to do.........

As much as I’m enjoying Andor so far, and as much as I love Mon Mothma, and as much as I’m enjoying Mon Mothma’s story so far...
I admit I’m a little disappointed.
I feel like, with her husband and daughter now involved, they’re headed towards a story where something goes wrong (of course), and Mon realizes that all along she should have been paying more attention to her family, and this becomes some big regret of her life.
And that’s...
It’s okay, I guess.
But what I really wanted to see, what I liked about the Mon Mothma that existed in my head, is a woman who chose to dedicate her life to her career, and more than that, to the galaxy, whole-heartedly and knowing that she wouldn’t have a family. I want to see a woman who not only chooses work over family, but is happy with that decision. No regrets, full steam ahead.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that on screen.
And I’m disappointed I won’t see it now.
Oh well, that’s what fanfiction’s for. Might just have to write it myself!
