Gamer Girls But It's Murderous (VannyxSelf Insert) Masterpost
Tumblr media
Staff, one of the night guards at Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, has a problem: a woman in a rabbit costume keeps breaking into the building, and her night guard partner Vanessa refuses to believe her. It's fine - the rabbit doesn't seem to be doing anything nefarious (unless she counts the constant flirting), and she's probably more trustworthy than Vanessa anyway...
All Gamer Girl related content including asks and non-comic posts can be found unsorted in the “#gamer girls but its murderous” tag.

FNAF SECURITY BREACH RUIN SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT
1: I really like Cassie, more than I expected to. One of my issues with FNAF was that the human characters don't really feel like characters in the games, more like prop pieces. But Cassie genuinely feels like a character that I want to see get a happy ending.
2: I went in expecting that if I saw Eclipse, he'd be a bastard, and instead was pleasantly surprised. He's my scrunkly :].
3: I really love the Roxy redemption we got!! She was genuinely kind and gentle with Cassie and I loved it.
4: I kept expecting the V.A.N.N.I mask to turn Cassie evil at some point, tho I did enjoy the return of Helpy.
5: At first I was soul crushed when I saw what had become of Freddy, but I saw online that he was a prototype and not good ol' Freddy, so :]
6: Pour one out for Monty I guess. Dude forgot he wasn't a real alligator.
7: Bonnie enjoyers got fed at what cost
8: Yeah no, I refuse to believe Gregory left Cassie to die.
Why would he guide her to the elevator in the first place if he was just gonna kill her off? He went through hell to make sure Freddy was ok, and he knew that guy for less than a day, he wouldn't leave his best friend to rot.
(maybe this is the inner Gregory fan talking, SO WHAT)
The Mimic wasn't shown to be destroyed, just escaped from, and we don't know how much control it had over the Pizzaplex, especially after Cassie freed it. Maybe it was what sent her crashing down.
Or that freaky rabbit (which I'm pretty sure is Afton) hacked the elevator to keep her down below (will elaborate on)
9: I believe the shot in game featuring Vanessa and Gregory confirms that the Princess Quest ending is the canon ending, and y'know what? I'm ok with that, I like the ending, it's got three stars, and the Encyclopedia said that was Gregory's good ending, so I had a feeling it was gonna go that way.
BUT! In that ending, it isn't made clear if by playing the game we killed Afton, or we simply freed Vanessa.
So, what if that glitchy rabbit is Afton, but his vessel wasn't complete, so he got stuck in the system, and the whole 'Vanny Network' thing he set up to try to replace her.
(we don't know how long it's been since the events of SB, and if the three stars ending is the canon ending, then we also don't know what destroyed the Pizzaplex)
Maybe Afton was in control of the elevator, and used Gregory's voice to trick Cassie (like some people were theorizing before the dlc came out) into believing Gregory betrayed her so he could turn her into his replacement Vanny and get her to make him real again.
Are points 8 & 9 a desperate ploy to not have Gregory be an asshole? Probably
Will that deter me? Absolutely not
Also if there is an answer as to how the Pizzaplex got destroyed in the TFTP books, don't spoil please, I've only read Lally's Game, the main reason I know what the Mimic is that SuperHorrorBro kept mentioning it during his playthrough so I checked the wiki.
Also if there are more endings to the DLC, please be cool about spoilers! I've only seen what SHB posted.
Anyways, those are my thoughts on Ruin.

Tatort Saarbrücken/Ace Attorney parallels
To celebrate less than two weeks until FdG airs, I finally took the time to proofread this text about parallels between Ace Attorney and Tatort Saarbrücken that I wrote almost a year ago and then somehow forgot to post. Enjoy!
I have recently noticed that there are a lot of parallels between the relationship between Miles Edgeworth and Phoenix Wright, and the story of Adam Schürk and Leo Hölzer, so I decided to write them down. I have no idea if there is any overlap between these fandoms at all, so probably no one else will care about this but whatever. This should go without saying, but this has spoilers for the first Ace Attorney game, and the first three episodes of Tatort Saarbrücken. I’m also aware that all of these overlaps are most likely a coincidence, but I wanted to compile them anyway, because I thought that it was really interesting, and maybe someone else will think so, too.
You may ask: Who are these people? I will try to summarise their stories first, and I will go into more detail later:
Let’s start with Phoenix and Miles: They were in the same class when they were nine years old and became friends after Phoenix was accused of stealing someone’s lunch money, when Miles was the first one (and together with Larry the only one) to stand up for him and defended him in the subsequent class trial. A few months after that, Miles’ father Gregory, a defense attorney, is murdered and Miles vanishes (he is adopted by Manfred von Karma and presumably moved to Germany, but Phoenix doesn’t know that). Years later, Phoenix reads a newspaper article about Miles becoming a prosecutor, and he decides to become a defense attorney to meet him and find out what happened to him.
They meet again when Miles prosecutes Phoenix’s second case as a defense attorney after not having seen each other for 15 years. After working two cases together, Miles is arrested as a murder suspect, and Phoenix defends him in court, even though no one else wants to defend him and he is almost the only one who is on his side. In this trial, he finds out that Manfred von Karma, the prosecutor in the current case, murdered Miles’ father 15 years ago after he got a penalty because of him. Then, he decided to adopt and mentor Miles, only to frame him for murder 15 years later as an elaborate revenge on Miles’ father. By uncovering this, Phoenix saves Miles from being convicted for murder.
Now to Adam and Leo: They became friends after Adam defended Leo from bullies at school. Adam’s father was physically abusive towards him and beat him regularly. One day, he catches Adam and Leo hanging out together and beats Adam up so badly that Leo thinks that he’s going to kill him, and decides to step in by hitting him on the head with a spade. Adam’s father falls into a coma, and Leo and Adam burn the garage to hide the crime. A few months after that, Adam vanishes, apparently leaving Leo to think that he has died.
Later, they both become police officers, Adam in Berlin and Leo in Saarbrücken. Adam returns to Saarbrücken, and they reunite after 15 years. After they worked on two cases together, Adam is arrested because he is suspected of murdering his father. Leo works hard to investigate his case, even though he technically isn’t allowed to, with their colleagues refusing to help him at one point and maybe even believe that Adam really is guilty. In the end, Leo manages to prove that Adam’s father killed himself and disguised his suicide as a murder to take revenge on Adam and Leo for putting him into a coma 15 years ago.
Sounds familiar? Here are all of the parallels and overlaps between those two stories that I can think of, maybe there are even more that I didn’t catch:
They met and became friends in school. Both pairs only became friends after one defended the other from bullies.
Shortly after something happens to his father, one of them disappears suddenly. Incidentally, in both cases, the one who disappears is the one who saved the other one from bullies.
Adam and Miles disappear after something happens to their father; Adams father falls in a coma, and Miles’ father is murdered
They both reappear after 15 years, during which the other one didn’t know anything about their whereabouts (Phoenix knew that Miles had become a prosecutor, but only a few years before they meet again).
Phoenix and Adam both altered their careers to see the other again; Phoenix starts studying to be a defense attorney after he learnt that Miles became a prosecutor s that they could meet again in the courtroom, and Adam accepted a transfer request back to Saarbrücken.
Both pairs meet again in their workplace, though Adam and Leo work together now, whereas Phoenix and Miles stand on opposite sides of the courtroom.
Not long after they reappear, both Adam and Miles are framed for murder by their abusive father.
The other one fights for them, even though they are (almost) the only person on their side, and everyone else is against them.
Both Adam’s father and Manfred von Karma have committed crimes in the past and framed someone else for it: Manfred killed Miles’ father and both framed the bailiff for it and manipulated Miles to blame himself; Adam’s father robbed banks with a friend, and one of them shot someone in one of these robberies. Said friend took the blame for both the robbing and the shooting, and never revealed the identity of his accomplice to the police.
Tatort Saarbrücken episode 3 is literally Turnabout Goodbyes, the fourth case in the first Ace Attorney game. Miles and Adam are both framed for murder by their father figure as revenge for something that happened in the past. Their respective partner takes their side and fights for them, ultimately revealing their innocence.
They are also both happen after they worked together for two cases.
Again, do I think any of this matters? No, but I realised that these parallels exist and had to get this out of my system. And I had fun writing this. If you notice even more parallels, please share them!

Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Reviews Episode 4-12: Crocoduel (Plus an OC!)
Oh baby, another Juleka episode! And with her as a hero instead of an insult to Clownkind! I think Luka's a big part of this episode as well!
I think I've seen those animations before.
Julerose in the first few seconds! Yippee!!!
That was one of the worst lies I've ever heard.
Lovers, ideally, not buddies. I refuse the Adrienette gravy train. It's like if gravy was bad.
I refuse to believe Luka and Juleka are twins. You cannot convince me. I can barely buy them as siblings, honestly. Luka has to be two years older than Juleka and they're half siblings because I doubt Deadbeat Stone would wait even a year to ditch Anarka for fame. My father and his father shared the same birthday, so Luka and Juleka can too!
As always, Juleka is being disrespected.
Oh my god, Marinette is using her braincells outside of Ladybug!
Fuck. Marinette is cooking. She knows she can only be down bad for Adrien. She knows she'll only hurt Luka.
"Talking garbage can? Awesome." Alright, that's the best line of season 4, if not the entire show.
How is Marinette hiding in that garbage can anyways? Is she just noclipping in and out of it or something?
Jagged doesn't even seem aware of Juleka's existence. I can feel myself growing more right. He only seems to acknowledge Luka as his child.
"Hey Juleka, can you make sure your brother isn't at his own birthday party? Thanks."
Oh baby! People apologizing for doing crappy stuff!
Japed
Roblox Flamethrower noise
Oh hey. Woman with Mylene's VA.
You have the space powerup. Which is being forgotten for plot reasons.
Alright, after three and a half seasons of being disrespected with akumatizations, Juleka finally becomes Purple Tigress. I think it's my favorite design and powerset. The ability to generate energy is surprisingly versatile. She can jumpstart cars. She can make ludicrous amounts of heat.
Have Hawkmoth's quips been weaker lately? It feels like they have.
Bellissimo. Juleka is now my favorite character.
Aaaand they had to end the episode with absolute and utter friendzoning. I will rage about this until the end of time or when I write a fic or two about it. Lukanette disrespect.
So yeah. If you noticed in the title, I have an OC to talk about. A Miraculous OC. That goes against the canon in this episode because I refuse to believe it.
His name is Gregory Steel. I think he changed his last name to not be associated with his old family. He has a black 2000s boycut covering his left eye and a goatee that shouldn't look too bad on him. I imagine his default outfit being some jeans and a black T-shirt for the Seattle grunge band he plays bass for, Screaming Crow. He's also a music teacher.
In 2000-2001, he met a French-Canadian woman named Anarka Couffaine, who was tired of big celebrities and wanted to settle down with her infant child. The two hit it off, going inbetween raising a child and working smaller gigs for cash. They even had a child together. However, on that new child's first birthday, the two had a falling-out, albeit one with good communication and the two are still friends to this day. Anarka moved to France to live on a boat in freedom while in the modern day of 2016 Gregory now is married and has two nine-year-old twins: a boy and a girl. Still, he does pay child support and give birthday and Christmas gifts to his other two children, Luka and Juleka. He also does come to visit but infrequently. He doesn't have that much money.
In a hypothetical rewrite, instead of this episode, Gregory decides to come over to Paris on his kids' birthdays, only to see Jagged the deadbeat trot on over and act like he's ever been a loving dad, even worse is the bias he's giving for Luka while ignoring his little darling Juleka. You can probably guess where this goes: Hawkmoth akumatizes him into Screaming Crow, a giant one-eyed crow that screams and attacks Jagged, Purple Tigress still gets introduced because she's the best and I love her and I want her to be the third permanent holder, and so on. I'm pretty sure Marinette and Luka have broken up by now but at the same time Marinette is starting to date Kagami. Or maybe they're still dating.

TELL ME LITERALLY ANYTHING ABOUT THE SUN SETS IN UTAH AU I NEED MORE HEARTS ACTUALLY ANYTHING UHHHH UHHHHUHHHH ANYTHING THANKS
TAKING THIS AS AN OPPURTUNITY TO TALK ABOUT OUR STAR LIZZIE!!!
The story is mostly about her, after all.
Elizabeth is WAAAYY closer with evan in this au. At least she becomes closer. When they're young its the same "shed rather be with her dad" business BUT!
When Cassidy moves away elizabeth notices how much it rips evan up (she was literally his only friend) and she kind of. feels a whole lot of sudden sympathy. which is weird for her (LOW EMPATHY AUTISTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and suddenly she's fiercly protective of him. They grow really close but this of course ruins her relationship with Michael. She never held that against him a lot though, she wanted to believe that he was just angry sometimes! he'd get over it! because she didn't really understand how much it affected evan
of course evans mental health was still horrible and his life wasn't going good and, well, things happened between him and mike, some harsh words were exchanged, and they erm. got into a fistfight. that michael won of course, i mean hes much bigger than evan. and that evolved into michael fighting with william and everything escelated way too fast for liz to catch up with and the next day michael was gone without a trace. he stayed missing for a while before william got ahold of jeremy who confirmed he had michael with him.
and liz was DEVASTATED. bc this sucked! her brother just up and left and refused to contact them at all and refused anyone who reached out to him!
But life goes on and she moved on. its not like he was dying right? right? and without mike, she was convinced things would be calmer, so she felt fine to leave for college. Evan didnt feel the same but she assured him itd be fine and left anyways. which nearly came back to bite her but gregory happened and!! whatever!!!
shes happy she loves college but she misses home a lot!! still havent decided why she comes home but she does eventually! and everythings different and confusing and hard to deal with and she really does just dig herself into a hole because she doesnt know where to go. her family is broken and they all seem intent on keeping it that way so shes lost yk?
i reeeaally dont wanna spoil too much about mike's arc because a) its not something i wanna just. drop here and b) i love it very dearly. you know how i am about michael. But I will say she did her best to stop it but she is only one person, so its hard and everythings hard for her but she'll leanr to be okay!!! i believe in her!!!
FUCKING LIZZIE APPRECIATION I LOVE HER SO MUCH

Gregory Horror Show: Twisted Fate
Chapter 1: The Boy in the Green Tunic
A boy with blonde hair and a green tunic wakes up in an unfamiliar place. Last thing he remembers is trying to force himself to sleep by knocking himself out with his shield to meet a special friend in his dreams. But this wasn't his dreams.
As he walked forward through the unfamiliar wooded area, he came across a large building, dimly lit with lights at the sides of its doors. Above its doors were letters attached to the building that read "Gregory House". Despite the dread he felt from this place, he still entered anyway.
Inside the house, he was greeted by Gregory. The old rat that runs this hotel. The boy was getting more uneasy by the second, yet he proceeded. He began to have a feeling that this was no dream. Gregory had already given the boy his room before he knew it. Leaving him with the words: "Enjoy your stay... Forever"
Now the boy knew something was definitely wrong. He then heard the yowling of a cat from the room beside him. He got curious and decided to investigate. This is when he confronts Neko Zombie. A cat who has all been sewn up but surprisingly enough, the most hopeful guest in the house. Not for themselves.. but for others' escape. The boy had easily realized that Neko Zombie wasn’t a threat. Which made explanations easier on his part. He warns the boy about the nightmarish and dangerous guests around the house, all trapped here just like him. And this is when the boy learns that he had accidentally ended his life short after hitting his head with his own shield too hard. He wanted to escape reality.. but this wasn't exactly what had in mind. Neko Zombie ensures the boy that there is a way out. He knows there is. It's just that nobody has been able to successfully escape until not too long ago with one of the longest staying guests in the house. The boy begged for more answers as to why he's here when all he wanted was to find "The only one who cared for him", but This is all Neko Zombie could inform for now. And the boy went to get some rest.
The boy was suddenly awoken by an approaching voice... "Do you know who I am? They call me Judgement Boy!~"... He climbed out of bed and quickly investigated the source of it. It was the 3rd of the Judgement Boy clones! He had stopped in his tracks upon seeing the boy before him. He bestowed his judgement: "You are a young boy, stressed by the struggles of reality. You believe your family hates you and you refuse to communicate with them, instead finding your greatest comfort in your sleep."
"Will you one day come to accept reality and talk things out with your family? Or will you continue to force your dreams?"
The boy replies: "I..My family doesnt love me. My dreams are more important, I have someone there I want to meet."
JUDGEMENT
The heart drops.. and shatters...
The Balance of Truth says: "And look where that got you. You continued to force yourself to sleep until you eventually killed yourself due to blunt force. Stuck forever in this hell of a purgatory.”
“It was your choice. Now you get to live with it."
The boy doesn't seem to care. It seems that being careful for what you wish for, wasn't on his to do list.
Then suddenly from the end of the hallway came the small pitter patter of Gregory's grandson James, with a pair of chain pliers! He begins climbing up onto the Judgement Boy clone to the top of its hat and begins to squeeze the blades of the pliers onto the chain that keeps it aloft! The clone struggles to get James off of him. Flailing, swinging, spinning. Nothing was working and that little brat held on with all of his will power, until finally.
SNAP
CRASH
The clone was snapped off of his chain and sent plummeting to the floor below. Its heavy metal body making a loud crash sound. The boy began to feel bad for the clone after the situation escalated so quickly. Though James was then soon caught sight of by Gregory but he ran off before Gregory could restrain him. He saw the dazed clone lying on the floor and was about to make an attempt to call the prompters until the boy suddenly made an offer to carry it back to the Judgement Factory himself! Gregory was confused, considering that the Judgement Boys weigh 10 tons and this small boy who was only a few inches over 3 feet was volunteering to carry it all the way back to the factory! That was until he did just that! Gregory was left flabbergasted and albeit quite shaken, seeing this child carry such a weight! He let the boy pass as he brought the clone back to the Judgement Factory. Once he entered, the other clones looked in surprise and confusion. This alerted Judgement Boy Gold as he had entered the center of the room. He had assumed that the boy had done something to get the 3rd clone off his chain, until the clone was quick to explain that it was James who had done it. The boy quickly dropped the clone and ran off when seeing the quickly approaching golden scale.
Soon enough, an argument would ensue in the Judgement Factory between the 1st and 4th clones, which was pretty common. But this ended up with Gold being involved, for he was in the room as he administered controlled shocks to them both multiple times to get them to stop! But there was one thing that he would say that the clones would never forget...: "MAYBE GREGORY WAS RIGHT."
"YOU CAN'T BEAT THE FUCKING ORIGINAL!"
"MAYBE IF JASPER WAS STILL HERE I'D BE A LITTLE MORE SANE!!!"
Meanwhile the boy retreated to his room once more. Outside in the halls, two mischievous guests who took on the forms of human children began to scuttle towards the new guest's room. Gregory was quick to stop them in their tracks, until they convinced him that they'd do no harm to the new guest. The boy heard the conversation outside his room and quickly attempted to barricade his door. But he quickly realized this was futile since the doors open outward. Not inward. And with that, Guest Boy and Guest Girl were quick to enter the room. The guest children would proceed to berate and taunt the boy, bringing down his Hope's of escape.
"I have..I have a person to find that means a lot to me-" the boy says before Guest Girl interrupts.
"AWW, He has a motive, too!"
Guest Boy follows up: "And look where that got you. Did you go on some sort of quest to save a princess or something and died in a dungeon? HAHA!"
The boy would've liked to go out that way. But that wasn't the case here. He made it look like he really just died for nothing. Though the boy replies.
"Thanks for assuming, y' big loser. I've done more than your hands ever will in your entire life."
Guest boy retaliates in a harsh tone: "I mean I've roamed this house for nights on end running away from its guests and ruining their day just to collect souls for Death himself. And that's just my afterlife! But I'm guessing YOU'VE done something way more special than that?"
The boy was quick to attempt and prove him wrong.
"...Yeah. I've saved the world. Several times. I've never done something with selfish intent."
Though, this is exactly how Guest boy had hoped he'd reply. He laughed.
"You sure about that? Seems to me that you've been taking a lot more time to yourself than actually living your life. You could've had so much to look forward to!
But it seems like you would have rather spent the rest of your life dreaming than actually living.
Be careful for what you wish for!~"
This angered the boy even more. Making him want to lash out at the two guests. But they soon left after they succeeded in making him furious. He began wishing to himself. Wishing he had died a different death than this one that he Is constantly forced to regret. This went along for a good few minutes as he stared at the necklace around his neck bearing a star shaped charm. Though soon enough, he would re-enter the halls once more.
He could overhear Gregory talking to someone in the hallways.. a chef with a very large blade, a shrouded face with red eyes, and a hat similar to a candle at the top with a bright flame. Hell's Chef. Gregory seemed to be speaking with him about the absence of Cathrine and how a replacement for medical care will be needed. Hell's Chef didn't seem too keen on this, but obliged anyway. He shoved himself past the boy, followed with a rude remark.
The boy continued on his own way, until both of them were stopped in their tracks! A man in beige business attire with the face of a clay haniwa doll was rushing down the hallway! He bumps into Hell's Chef, dropping his suitcase as it splits open, sending papers flying everywhere! Hell's Chef only scoffed and walked off. But the boy noticed that the Haniwa Salaryman's hat had fallen off! He advised Haniwa about his hat as he had finally finished picking up his papers. He walked over and put his hat back on before thanking the boy and handing him a strange business card. Soon enough, he was on the move again, rambling about being "Late for work"... The boy was left confused, but soon enough continued to walk along the hallways.
He would then begin to hear the small sobs of another child! The boy began to rush to find the source before he spotted a little girl with a tattered green dress and red braids, sitting against the wall and crying. The boy confronted the somewhat puppet-like girl, asking if she was okay. The girl claims she had lost her dolly and can't find it anywhere. The boy offers to help the girl find her doll as they both continue through the halls. With the boy leading the way, he accidentally entered the mummy family's room! Mummy Papa gave a kind and hearty welcome to the new guest as Lost Doll stayed close by. They were then greeted by Mummy Papa's son, Mummy Dog as well! The boy was confused about the mummy family's obliviousness to the weapons piercing their heads, but quickly dropped it after Mummy Papa began to speak about his "headaches”. The boy asked if either of them had seen a doll around, though neither Mummy Papa or Mummy Dog had seen it. Mummy Papa has suggested asking the Fortune-Teller Frog for advice on the missing dolly. Soon afterwards, Mummy Papa began to get another one of his headaches before taking out the medication he had for it. Mummy Papa hadn't eaten breakfast that day and decided if Hell's Chef had anything, leaving the 3 children alone in the Mummy family's room.
Mummy Papa was on his way to the kitchen before bumping into Cactus Gunman, who was looking for his sister to help him snag some of his weapons back from Guest Boy and Guest Girl. For not too long ago, they had stolen some of his firearms. Mummy Papa claims that those kids had also stolen his previous bottle of medication for his headaches. They soon enough went separate ways, wishing each other luck before Mummy Papa reached the kitchen. He had spoken to Hell's Chef and he got started right away to cook something up for Mummy Papa. During that, they continued to talk.
Meanwhile, the boy, Lost Doll, and Mummy Dog decided to leave back into the hallways to look for the missing dolly, only before being stopped by Cactus Gunman! He claims that he and his sister have been looking for the Boy. Looking to duel with him! He tosses a gun to the boy, as he stares in bewilderment. Until suddenly familiar rapid footsteps and voices came from down the other end of the hall! Guest Boy and Guest girl had snatched up the two weapons meant for the duel! They began to make a run for it, before the boy took out a grappling contraption and grabbed Guest Boy, pulling him back! He was now being held at sword point by the boy! His eyes were glowing a slight tint of red... At this point, Mummy Dog and Lost Doll had run off. Cactus Gunman would begin to snatch back his weapons, but accidentally fumbled one of his guys and shot the boy in the arm. Though.. he didn't seem phased by it very much.. but he began to grow drowsy. And fainted. His grappling contraption letting go of Guest Boy. The two guest children had decided to make a run for it, only after one of them had snatched one of the guns that Cactus Gunman had dropped upon his misfire. A few seconds later, Rose, the guest who had previously arrived here, now only being distinguished by her rat-like form, similar to Gregory, his mother, and james. As well as the stink of cigarettes, along with its smog that followed her and obscured her face. She stated the obvious before her, not all too amused. Her monotone personality wasn't very pleasant to be around. Soon after, Cactus Gunman had spotted Mummy Papa's medication that the guest kids had previously stolen! Rose advised Cactus Gunman to return the medication to Mummy Papa, as well as getting the boy's wound taken care of. Rose offered to help get the firearms back while Cactus Gunman dealt with what he was told. They went their separate ways after he asked Rose to keep an eye out for his sister. When they were out of sight, the 2nd Judgement Boy clone was gliding through the halls, also catching a whiff of Rose's stench..
Cactus Gunman had caught up with Mummy Papa in the kitchen, handing him back his medication. Mummy Papa's concern quickly moved to the Boy who was still injured. He took off one of his own bandages and washed it off with soap and water, proceeding to wrap it around the boy's wound.. disgusting.. but I don't think it matters very much in purgatory. Cactus gunman had soon enough brought the boy back to his room and ran off to find his sister.
The boy would find himself in a strange and gloomy looking void all around him, before he heard the slight ringing of a bell. And before him floated a skeletal figure with a strange hat and a scythe.. Death himself. He assured the boy that the injury he sustained wasn't fatal for he can't die twice here. As Death introduces himself as the one that is the gateway to sending souls to the afterlife, the boy mentioned how he was banned from the afterlife. This sent Death into a bit of confusion as he double checked on this fact and.. it was indeed true. This boy couldn't enter the afterlife at all if he died! Which was strange for someone so young.. Death pushes the topic aside for now and explains why the boy is here.
"You're here because you died with something weighing heavily on your soul. The stresses of life and balancing family and work, everyone un-appreciating cooking or singing, forever searching for lost artifacts beneath the Earth, and a double homicide with the final family member dying of heartbreak...those are just a few of the residents Gregory keeps under his decaying old foot."
"You, my friend, are now under his foot, and he's gonna keep you there forever unless you can get out."
Death had then looked into the boy's known info. His name.. and how he died. Accidental suicide by trying to knock himself out.
He begins to explain to the boy that compared to everyone else, he has a real good chance at escaping.
"You died because you're focused on one person you meet in your dreams... And to get out...the main key is finding those who care about you."
"They've been around you and yet you simply didn't see it, constantly chasing someone who only exists in your mind. If you can find those people and reach out to them, you have the best shot of leaving since Haniwa Salesman!"
The boy tries to explain that everyone he knew in his life hated him. He believed that the only one who cared was this person he could only see in his head.
"That state of mind is what got you here in the first place, kid, and unless you wanna stay here and leave those people grieving, you're gonna have to try a bit harder than what you're doing now."
The boy then replied: "Grieving?.. Why would they cry about me?"
Death nodded,
"Yep! One of them is keeping your body close like a damn bodyguard. I can't say who, and I can't exactly drag you out to show you. but if you want a tip, kid? People in the TV screen are a lot closer than they appear."
This confused the boy. He tried to pry more answers from Death, but only got so little. Something about fish, an Angel/Devil Dog, moods, a bridge of light, Gregory taking on a new form, lastly Gregory's biggest weakness: his mother. This was a lot of information for the boy to take in at once. He was trying to understand it all!
The boy asked one last question.  "...Okay...that's...it? How will my soul clear?"
"Once the weight is lifted off of it! You remember those who love you for who you are!"
And before they knew it, the room around them began to fade..their time was almost up.
"...Looks like you're about to come too soon. Wounds heal quickly in the hotel, and the flintlock only hit your arm. Before you go, I have one more thing to say. Give a man a fish, his memories remain foggy, teach a man to fish, and his mind will be clear again!"
The boy would wake up in a bit of a confused daze before Lost Doll would enter his room to see if he was okay. She wanted to continue looking for her dolly, but was also worried about the boy's injury. But he quickly brushed it off before Hell's Chef had entered the room, bringing food to some of the guests. He had noticed Lost Doll and thanked her for her help with cleaning dishes before  going back to looking for her doll. And conveniently enough, he had found it in his kitchen! Lost doll was delighted to see her dolly again, hugging it tightly and thanking Hell's Chef. She had also thanked the boy for his help in finding the dolly as well. Something that had been happening for quite a while.. is that a few of the guests here have been reminding the boy of other people he knew.. though, he couldn't exactly pinpoint it. Lost Doll had left with Hell's Chef to pass out lunches to the other guests, once again leaving the boy alone. He began to eat his food to pass the time.
Later on, when the boy had finished, his door suddenly opened on its own! Following this, a blue glow began to fill the room, followed by the sound of static. A glowing skeletal fish with a television for a face had floated into the room.. roaming.. before it faced the boy. The tv had begun to display something, the whirring was almost unbearable to listen to..before it became a more tolerable sound, followed with almost blurry silhouettes. The audio was somewhat audible, only a few bits were able to be made out. The tv is in black and white.
"Please
So
Sorry I
Cant
Take th- is
Gui-  lt I"
But out of everything, what rang out clearly after was "IM SORRY" via.. many different, familiar voices... until it had finally ended with: "I want to be with you, Under the starlight"
...and then it fizzled out. He was caught off guard by this. But... couldn't stop looking. Couldn't stop listening. He kept hearing words of sorrow. Words that made him feel... selfish. But why? Was he wrong, was...
"Was I wrong?"
Gregory had suddenly entered the room, interrupting the boy's train of thought. He tried to reason with Gregory, hoping he'd understand his thoughts.. But.. he only brushed it off and walked away. This when he knew.. he had to get out of here. He heard a familiar and raspy voice speak to him through the wall. It was Neko Zombie! He was telling the boy that now was his time to escape. If he spent another night in this place, he may be doomed..
"...But what about you?!" The boy asked..
"Don't worry about me.. I have nothing and nobody to go back to.. But you do.. you don't have to do anything for me." Neko Zombie replied.
The boy was reluctant.. but there was nothing that could be done. But he now knew what he had to do. And he finally knew why. There are people in his life who are waiting for him. And he couldn't waste any more time. He said one last goodbye to Neko Zombie before dashing out into the halls.
Meanwhile, Gregory was back at the checkout desk.. but something felt off. Like he was being watched by a certain someone..
"Oh, don't tell me that old bitch is already starting to figure it out...!" Gregory thought to himself...
"I heard that Gregory"
A familiar and sinister voice echoed within Gregory's head. He knew very well who it was. He tried to lie and say that he was talking about Fortune-Teller Frog. But she wasn't buying it.
Gregory Mama had immediately sent Gregory to her room to confront him about what had been happening.
"I-It's not like the new guest is going to get far! So many have tried to escape and so many have failed!" Gregory chuckled in a panic before realizing who he forgot...
"All except for one." Gregory Mama snarled.
"ERK! R-RIGHT! D-Don't Don't you worry! W-We'll find a way to get the Original Judgement Boy back! I-I promise!!!" Gregory quickly replied, trying to get out of this situation.
"Well, YOU BETTER! AND THAT CHILD TOO! I can already see him slipping from your grasp! And don't think I've seen other guests going soft as well. YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AND YOU BETTER BE QUICK ABOUT IT!" Her voice boomed across the room, making the shelves shake and the bottled souls click together. She lastly whacked Gregory on the head with her staff. Gregory cried out in pain and quickly ran out of her room. He began to inform the other guests of the boy's escape attempt. Some complied, some were reluctant. Though Gregory always knew how to get through to them.
Before the great chase begins, The boy had bumped into the 2nd Judgement Boy clone. The boy was nervous because he didn't want to face another judgement.. but... this wasn't what the clone was here for. He wasn't even supposed to be out of the factory this late either! And Gold nor any of the other clones currently know of his absence.
"You....You're from the world that OG was taken to...right? Though I guess he'd be going by something like his real name or JB or something like that...H-How...How was he doing..? Was he happy?"
This question caught the boy slightly off guard!.. he suddenly realized why these scales looked so familiar now… Not too long ago before he ended up here, a new member of a secondary family he was a part of had shown up, which he now saw shared a striking resemblance to the clones.
"...He... When I saw him, He was. He was with his friends... I wanted to be like him, honestly... with friends, family... and someone to love." He replied. But suddenly retaliated.
"But why is it so important to you?"
The boy could see a smile on the clone's face.
"Heh....Good for him....After the hell Gold and the others put him through… He deserves it..."
He looked around, then looked at Toon again
"Look, Escape won't be easy, especially not with Gregory and some of the others after you now...Escapes have happened before...Salaryman...Rose...Even those two troublemaking kids...They all tried to escape...But in the end, they just came back..."
The boy responded: "But I..I don't want to come back. I want to see my parents again..my siblings, my friends..!"
The clone nodded to him.
"Then resist...Resist the call that tries to bring you back...Otherwise your escape will prove fruitless...You'll grow bored of your life back home, and would dream about returning to this cursed hotel...."
He then looks around in a panic.
"You need to go now. I've given you your instructions...whether you choose to listen to them or not is your choice..."
After their confrontation had ended, the boy continued to dash down the halls, before he noticed he was now being chased by a crazed Lost Doll. As he continued to run, Hell's Chef had stopped him from ahead. As he began to dash towards the boy, their blades clashed! Hell's Chef was impressed by the Boy's strength and liked the challenge. Lost Doll began to tug back at the boy's hair, leaving him open for Hell's Chef to attack! But the Boy suddenly grabbed one of his bombs and threw it down in between them, swinging his head to fling Lost Doll off of him and run off. With Lost Doll in a daze, she was not able to follow, leaving her with Hell's Chef who was angered by the smoke emitting from the bomb's fuse. He hit the bomb with his blade, causing it to explode! The explosion flung Hell's Chef's blade toward Lost Doll, cutting her strings and immobilizing her. Hell's Chef became immobilized as well due to the blast of the bomb blowing out his candle.
The boy was on the run again, until Cactus Gunman suddenly appeared In front of him! He wasn't letting him get away without his duel. And this time, he brought Cactus Girl with him! He attempted to take a shot at the boy. Though unfortunately for him, the boy still had his shield! He knocked the bullet back, sending it through Cactus Gunman's sombrero. He tried to fire again, but hit Gregory who was just now approaching in the ear! As the three were distracted, the boy ran off again. Cactus Girl snatches the gun and begins shooting at the boy, but somehow he manages to dodge the bullets through dumb luck. The boy taunted them before James then tossed a device at him! He wasn't aware of what this device was, but assumed that James was helping him, so he threw the device towards Hell's Chef who had knocked over Cactus Gunman and his sister while rapidly approaching towards the boy. The device landed onto Hell's Chef, but that didn't stop him from approaching, confident that he was faster than the Trap Mouse. They boy had then quickly ran off into the basement storage rooms.. he was safe for now, but only for a little while. He had to get out. And fast!
Then suddenly, a bright light began to glow close by.. a fairy! One that was similar to ones the boy was familiar with from back home! It was leading him somewhere.. and he followed. The fairy led him into a strange, bright, and almost dream-like room... The fairy called out to someone it only referred to as "her". A dog looking similar to an angel descends in front of the boy!
"Hello! I am here to guide you to your final destination!"
"You are..?" The boy replies.
"Yep! All you need to do is go through that door, and meet death himself!"
A door appeared before them, with a sign above that read.. "Heaven or Hell".
"...Uh… alright! I.. I can trust you on this, I guess.." The boy said. A bit reluctant about the situation.
"Go on! It's your time!" Said the dog anticipatingly.
And with that, the boy opened the door and sprinted right in. Right as the door closed, Gregory raced into the scene! He demanded to know where the boy had gone in a panic. He then noticed the door and the dog before glaring..
"You...YOU LET HIM ESCAPE?!" He exclaimed.
"Ah... the bridge of life." The dog chuckled maliciously..
"Good luck catching them... Because it's no longer my problem."
Gregory growled, it was time to take matters into his own hands! He closed his eyes...and let his TRUE power show.
Meanwhile, the boy was sprinting across a bridge made of some sort of light energy. Running for his life..
“Where do you think you're going?!” Cried out a familiar voice from behind him! It was Gregory, now in a giant ghost-like form, chasing the boy down!
"HOME! TO MY FAMILY!" The boy shouted, determined to escape this hell once and for all!
"There's nothing out there for you but cold, harsh reality! Don't you remember why you came here in the first place?! To see someone you were looking for!!!" Gregory beckoned, desperately.
Death had then appeared before the boy, encouraging him.
"You're almost there, kid! You've got a one way ticket back! Keep that train going!"
"NO! HE CAN'T ESCAPE! I WON'T LET HIM!!!" Gregory shouted as his ghostly form continued to chase after the boy.
He kept running and Gregory continued to plead and plead.
"PLEASE, JUST THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR DOING!"
"I DO KNOW WHAT I'M DOING! I'M GOING HOME TO APOLOGIZE AND BE WITH THE PEOPLE I MISINTERPRETED AS BAD..!!" The boy retaliated, running faster.
"ALL YOU'LL FIND OUT THERE IS MORE PAIN! PLEASE, RECONSIDER AND COME BACK TO YOUR ROOM!!!" Gregory continued to plead.
"YOU HAVE PEOPLE WHO CAN BE HEROES HERE, BUT NOT ME! AND IF YOU WON'T LET ME LEAVE, I'LL BREAK PAST THAT POINT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY." The boy screamed. He wasn't going to let himself get taken back. Not after he's come so far.
"PLEASE! DON'T DO THIS!!!!" Gregory calls out one last time.
"IM
THEIR
HERO!!!"
The boy takes a leap of faith, toward the blinding light ahead of him! Gregory shouts, trying his absolute best to reach him! Death glares down at Gregory…
"I think this train is at full capacity. please come again another time."
With a twirl of his scythe, he cuts the bridge connecting Gregory and the boy. And Gregory begins to fall.
“Your ticket was invalid anyway.”
Gregory called out as he fell into the nothingness below. "GRAAAAAAAAH! I-I'LL KEEP YOUR ROOM READY FOR YOU, MY FRIEND!!!!!!"
The boy opened his eyes... being held in the arms of his sister, surrounded by family and friends... and a very strange face.. his own. Dressed in a blue conductor's outfit. That fairy.. was from him. He was saved by another version of himself.
He was gifted another chance to be his family's hero.. by himself.

//still. talking about sun in hw2.
//okay to stop gushing and actually talk about sun's character I think all its new lines REALLY hammer down the fact that it was never supposed to watch children. that much was revealed in the books (i believe,) that it was supposed to be an ACTOR -- but in hw2, they're a sassy, passive aggressive, impatient perfectionist, and those are all qualities you DON'T want in a babysitter, especially one watching children as young as toddlers. it uses phrases like "you lack vision" and "avant-garde" and things of the like. clearly, their original position as an actor weighs far heavier on their personality than their current job -- however, it still does do its best to be an attendant. i love the fact that sun is the perfect example of a robot being denied it's purpose; because of its AI, they're able to suck it up and deal with it, and their job performance is FINE, but its so far out of its element that they can't be the ideal caretaker.
//and i think that's why its so high-strung and anxious, especially around children like gregory and cassie. they're actively working against its own programming ALL THE TIME. its perfectionism and need to be in control at all times manifest in its cleaning. keeping their space -- their set -- EXACTLY how they like it, down to which plastic barrel goes where in the stack.
//and honestly? aside from the fact that sun is responsible for whatever happens to their daycare kids (something they only seem to worry about because IT will get in trouble,) I think THAT'S why the thought of the lights going out freaks them out as bad as it does. because it knows when the lights go out, MOON is in charge, and sun doesn't like that. sun doesn't like losing that control. this anxiety is also present in hw2 -- but what's interesting is that it toys with the idea, and even THREATENS to turn off the lights themself, after the player makes it upset enough. after the player refuses to listen to them. and these lines are delivered casually at best, and on the verge of snapping at worst.
//anyways there's no conclusion to this post. im just thinking about them.

Engage's villain deep dive : Rafal, depressive atoning dragon
Tumblr media
Oh boi, do you'all actually hate me or ... ? anyways, let's break him down.
But because of rules, spoliers ahead !!!
Rafal is one of the other Sombron/Xenobron's child and possibly an alternate version to one of Alear's half sibling in Elyos (though it's a bit of a touchy subject) , even if in this world he isn't family to his Alear.
Like all of Xenobron's children, he had a twin but this twin died a long time ago and when he was too young to remember so he was the only Fell child to be all alone in an environnement surronded by pair of twins. He became friends with his half brother, Nil, whom he strangely ressembled a whole lot. But during the parralel war of 1 000 Nil died in a battle and Rafal switched his place with him, making believe he died as he promised dying Nil to watch over Nel and that's what happenend, 1 000 years of assuming Nil's identity. One day, Xenobron noticed he was able to awake Emblems and approached him, promising him that he would become his heir and additionally, took advantage of this to curse the dragonstone he shared with Nel. Then once Altlear and Xenobron killed each other, operation ressurection of Papabron began and then it unpacks with the whole Fell xenologue events until Nel dies to save him and him, remorseful ends up a ressurection session like Lumimi did with Alear until she woke up 1 000 as atonement and the two move in our Elyos.
Alright, let's begin
1- Rafal is a shetty written villain/forced antagonist
Tumblr media
If you want to explain Engage's internal writing problem, Rafal is probably an empitome for it. While his support proves him to be an excellent character, the DLC story is so lame that he is forced to be the antagonist although his motivations barely makes him one. Not to excuse his actions (since he himself refuse it) but it's probably because he is such a sheety villain he works so well as a redeeming one cause if there is one thing you can give him is that 1) he is actually a threat in the DLC (brrr;;;;; map 5) and also 2) he is a well written character when HE IS ALLOWED TO BE HIMSELF but we'll go through it once I am done explaining the crime he commited.
According to the devs and his support with Ivy, he didn't killed everyone but only 1) The royals to turn them into Corrupted, the only consenting victims being Ivyalt
Tumblr media
And he also admitted to have killed all his remaining siblings
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he ... well cause Nel to die but she came back so... does that count ? idk
One thing for sure, he did a lot of awful thing he himself is ashamed of and once you beat the sheet out of him, he goes on redemption arc
Now one thing a lot of people wondered is : isn"t it a bit easy that Alear forgives him like this when he say stuff like that ?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, let's find out !
2- Rafal's way of speech.
Ok, so there's something important about this guy when we speaks of transalation. The localization tended to make him seems more arrogant in the eng compared to the jpn version because the jpn version can use prounons to convey Rafal's arrogance whereas the eng version has to rely on a choice of words rather snobbish in order to make him seem haughty. You probably had noticed that Y.Chang switches between two tones to signify that he is Nil or Rafal. Well, Takuya Eguchi does the same, but he also swtiches prounons. I really wished I could share the audio of the JPN dub but tumblr won't let me so I'll just link two video so you can compare how he speaks differently when he is Nil and when is Rafal.
When Rafal speaks as Nil, he uses boku/僕 i kanji form to showcase it's an adult man speaking as opposed to young boys who either uses katakana or hiragana, which is Nil's case when we see the recollections flashbacks as he speaks entirely in hiragana. Boku is considered to be a masculine way of saying I but is less informal or viritliy assertive as ore/俺 which is used by both Gregory and Griss, it is also considered to be a form used by character with a kind temparement so Rafal uses it whenever he speaks to impersonnates Nil due to wanting to fit with Nil's kind nature.
However, when Rafal speaks as himself, he uses ware/我 which is a peculiar case when speaking of japanese pronouns. It's an archaic form of refering to one self since it's more common in old japanese and it's use is more literary if anything, but to be fair, japanses in anime and video games and sons is drastically different then japanese spoken in real life. Regardless, it's a form that is often used by character who consider themselves important due to either being 1 000 year old or having the statuts of a royalitie or a kami. Rafal being a proud character, there is nothing surprising as him using prounons that makes him looks arrogant. However... guess what ? Sombron uses the same prounons as Rafal. Yep.
Tumblr media
And that's not all. If you compare Rafal's way of speaking using a lot of "zo" and "ga", to Sombron's, you'll realize that Rafal speaks the exact same way as Sombron. The way someone speaks is a reflection of his own mind and apprehension of the world. When i said : "when HE IS ALLOWED TO BE HIMSELF" I am refering to the fact that in the whole Fell Xenologue he plays 2 role, and his speech reflects that. During the great portion of the Fell Xenologue plot he pretends to be Nil like he did for 1 000 years. But he also wasn't being himself during the second part and begining of the DLC since he was possesed/cursed (literaly this time) and because of this... he really does speak like Sombron
Tumblr media
Doesn't that remind you of someone ? And while Sombron and Xenobron are different person and that they might have different objective, they still speak in a similar manner hence there is nothing surprising as Rafal saying things that are similar to our Sombron even if he isn't his actual dad but just the alternate version (please bear with me ? ik that the Fell Xenologue's plot is downright stopid but hey). Rafal is definitely emulating his father and in the game, it is portrayed as being due to Sombron's curse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the game during those scenes, he has the animation showing him bowing, like for when Veyle switched her personailty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright, not to be that "JPN dub is superior to ENG dub" person because 1) it's false, 3H and Engage gave us impressive VA and Y.Chang is doing an amazing job but.... can we talk about how in this scene Takuya Eguchi looks like he is at the verge of his life ? I am serious, his acting makes Rafal's possesion sounds even more obvious then in the JPN dub . Not to mention, that the localization sorta missed the point because in the jpn he says "My chest hurts, always, always !!"
Tumblr media
Yep you guessed it, that's why his chest hurts.
The fact that he speaks like Sombron, bore HIS wishes rather then his own, that even the dragon form he had looked quite similar to that of Sombron as opposed as his regular Fell Dragon form more alike to Nel shows that he is indeed under Sombron's influence, even more then the simple case of possesion
3- Possesion as a metaphor
Look, I am not saying that Fe is the kind of series where I expect the writer to use "possesion" as a symbolic device rather then a way to explain why they force a traumatized kid to be a forced antagonist and other then an obvious trope beloved by Kaga except instead of another damsel in distress, it's a pretty boi. (#RafalistheLyonarchetypeofEngage) However with the elements I mentionned earlier, it's obvious that the Sombron's spell goes along to show how a victim of parental abuse can be robbed of their agency and ends up interiozing and emphazing with their abusers, and in the case of Rafal, he is like Veyle since his long lasting abuse, inferiority complex, self validation issues and lack of love lead him to feel alone. Must I remind you that once he lost his twin he was all alone for a long time in an environnement consistuting in Fell children comploting against one another, making him an easy prey and he like Nil was traited as a failure except that Nil followed pretty much the same thing as Alcryst that is to say that his belief in being weak, he accepted it as truth and was rather self depricating, whereas Rafal never wanted to accept it and as a result, sought to prove his worth in return for a proof of acknowledgment. Like I mentionned in my Zephia dive about Sombron sharing his definition of family was like a "curse" that sealed Zephia's fate, Sombron telling Rafal how he would be a suitable heir for him was the curse as it was the proof of worth, the acknowledgement he was desesperately seeking for and even Nel's love wasn't enough because ...
4- Rafal has identity crisis and syndrome of the imposter
Must I remind you that Nil died when he was a CHILD. This means Rafal had to see his brother and only friend died when he was CHILD but that he accepted to remplace him as a CHILD. He cast away his identity when he was still a CHILD. He accepted to be someone he wasn't when he was a CHILD. Do I keep going on or is it clear ? If you recall, he said "I made belived I was the one who died that day, I was in a way". And why ? 1000 of acting as someone you aren't, this might make you ask thousand of existential question; and this happening at the time he was still a kid, a person in a process of building his identity. But that's only the tip of the iceberg, really. The real problem, the reason why he couldn't accept Nel's love is RIGHT THERE
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The reason why Rafal cherished and hate his time at Lythos at the same time is so obvious. The reason why he feel like Nel's love isn't for him is also obvious. Because he isn't Nil. Sure, he is Nel's half sibling, but he isn't her twin brother, her one true half, the one she cherished and wished to protect, the one for whom she betrayed her own Father even though it may have ended her life. All she did, was out of love but nor for him as Rafal but for Nil, her dead brother. And even though Rafal promised Nil to protect Nel and made her happy and even then wished for her happines since he came to think of her as her true neesan, he can't help but feel guilty because "It should be Nil not me who has that" is exactly what he means by "that treasure is a stolen one" even if it was Nil's dying wish. His inner self hatred, validation issue and so on and so on cannot make him feel like he deserves Nel's love since it's directed to someone else. He knows that when Nel looks at him, she doesn't see Rafal, but Nil. She doesn't see him as who he is and he doesn't have the right to be himself, not for Nil's sake, he can't be loved for he is because he has to pretend to be someone else. Which hurts even more as Nel, the person he love most doesn't acknowledge his existence since she think he is Nil. So of course, even with Nel to protect him and love him, in truth, he never felt more alone because he felt like she never saw him, which made him even more vulnerable to Sombron's machination and worsen his wanting to prove his worth. Because (yes I know it's not Xenobron, it's our Sombron but point still stand)
Tumblr media
If you remember what I said commenting it, our Sombron knew that his children were feared and hated and entirely dependent of him. The situation in XenElyos being not so different (*cough, cough, the Firenalt sibling and other clearly having hostility to the Fell twins cough*) with whatsmore siblings hating each other and ready to stab each other's back and him feeling even more inferior due to knowing he will never be loved like Nil is and that each of Nel's gesture are actually directed at Nil made him even more dependent of his abuser. What'smore, remember Wounded Pride ? His personal skill ? Well, remember that even if he had this skill only when he was pretending to be Nil... it still representative of Rafal as a whole since his own pride got wonded many times. And this is because of this that he was under Sombron's influence on two level 1) the possesion spell 2) his emulation of Sombron. It's also quite the deal that the word Sombron told him as he was casting this spell on his chest makes it happen at the same moment, hence renforcing the impression that the possesion is here to show that it's not only because of the spell he is under Sombron's influence, but also because of all he's been through, Sombron's shadow still soar over him and the possession spells can hence be seen on a double level. He almost BECOME Sombron, having the same wish, same speech, same freaking dragon appearance. Even if he still had some of his agency and that unlike Veyle he doesn't got "what happened o - o ?" once the spell is broken, he was still essentially under Sombron's influence
5- Nel's breaking the spell on 2 level
Tumblr media
Alright, if you recall to break the spell Nel had to break her own dragonstone which can only break because... she dies.
Ok now, remember all that I said about Rafal wanting someone to acknowledge his existence and all i said about how he gave up on Nel being this person. Well, Nel's sacrifice broke the spell AND on a second level definitely freed Rafal from Sombron's influence because this was literaly the biggest act that one could do for him. What's more Nel revealing that she always knew his real identity (andthusmakingeverythingthathappenedfallflatsaidshewithrepressedanger) made Rafal realized that all of Nel's kind gesture towards him were really genuinely for HIM and not directed at a Nil whose sister and identity he stole according to him, that Nel was seeing him and acknowledge his existence, that she always returned the love he gave her. All of this was enough to make Rafal realized he don't need Sombron cause remember what he said when he lost ? "If i can't carry out father's ambitions, I am useless". What's more;... he always had suicidal tendencies
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He wanted Nel, the person he loves most, his sister to end his life. In truth, what he truly wanted was Nel's love but he still felt like he didn't deserved it because he is an impostor, he stole Nil's sister, he stole what belong to him etc.
Tumblr media
That's the face he made as he though Nel was going to kill him. FREAKING SMILING. Dear God.
But Nel dying to free him from Sombron's influence made him realized he was indeed loved (Nelisbestgirldon't@ me); This made him come back to his sense when he could have gone as far has literaly becoming his dad and like I mentionned we saw him as both Nil and Evil Nil/Sombron 3.0 hence the actual reason why the DLC failed his characterization (unti the snap moment) is because he wasn't being himself in literaly all sense until Nel's stabbed herself, until he snapped. I mean remember whe first saw him as Nil, then as whatever creepy face he made in the nigthmare that is map 5 and even as he spoke to Nel we don't see his actual face, he is shown from behind, eyes closed, and then the spells begin to strike back until Alear pops up and we see his damaged face
Part 2 to see more

Im gonna be real with you, I don’t know shit about political ideology specifics. I don’t know much about communism/capitalism/socialism outside of basic high school tbh.
But I’ve always found it odd how there’s so many passionate communism defenders (especially living in western nations). If communism is so great, then why are there SO many people who ran away from their countries after communism was put into place? Or hell, not even ran away. I’m a first gen American and my social circle is mostly other first gen Americans. One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of people, or people’s parents, return to their home countries after finishing school, raising kids, or making enough money from a certain career. The only people who I’ve never seen return to their home countries, and outwardly have no interest in it, are the ones coming from communism.
Heh I appreciate your candor. But I'll admit the preview for this in my activity made me hold my breath lol
Sadly I find myself mentioning A LOT as to how we got here.
Unfortunately, this is actually one of the stages of genocide (as popularized by Doctor Gregory Stanton) called 'Denial' and totally continues to work even if those governments no longer exist. But it is stoked by those who want to pretend communist atrocities didnt happen. Combined with the Red Scare era which did NOTHING except make people believe now that it was these poor little communists being shat on by western capitalists. The red scare which created Boomers that loudly claim communism to be unAmerican which creates many millennials and younger to rebel against the previous generations by deciding hey communism was cool actually if it upsets that asshole generation. Or they realize some of their political opinions align with communism so communism has to be cool right? Without realizing it's pretty much human nature you're going to agree on some level with some- thing or -one terrible politics wise.
They do not read past Communism 101. But it's hardly an anti-commie's fault right? They see 'workers of the world UNITE' and they go 'hey YEAH!! Capitalism SUCKS but here's a thing saying everything I do so I'm not wrong!! it's the detractors that are!" But they fail to continue to read where Comrades Lenin and Marx literally call for blood. They want the red=communism to be literally blood. They say over and over and over again that there are too many people, that we need to lessen numbers, that it doesn't matter who we kill so long as communism is installed. Anyone against communism must pay with their lives! How is that better than capitalism then??? how is it not siblings with fascism?
But if you're going to say I'm this thing, you should know more than just a few blurbs about it right? Politics wise, anyway I guess. And no, this isn't gatekeeping. We're talking politics not fandom.
But yes, most of the vocal anti-commies I meet either come directly from a formerly communist country or are the offspring of those who fled communism. But NO commie questions why this could be. Your average anti-commie is in fact just a Red Scare War Hawk Republican, obviously. We're all just patsies of capitalism. It can't POSSIBLY be because we know the blood commies have on their (Red) hands.
It's absurd. All these people have to not only be lying about atrocities but also apparently lying about why they left and refuse to return. All these people coordinated with different cultures in order to tell Tom DIckhead communism isn't that great. And yet it takes little convincing when it comes to other things. We agree fleeing other things is viable. We don't agree people fled communism. Somehow?? I'm a first gen American born and raised here because my birth mother FLED COMMUNISM in Ukraine. If communism did not exist, I would've been born in Ukraine. But I'm wrong because tom Dickhead said so.
As an aside, I will NEVER forget the time a commie said 'you just don't like communism because you hate to see people of color winning', completely ignoring how many MILLIONS of people of color were MURDERED by communists. MILLIONS more people of color were murdered compared to white folks. Tell me, comrade, how is that 'winning'? No one hates Pol Pot for 'winning', they hate him for murdering Cambodians and Vietnamese and everyone who was against his government. No one hates Mao for 'winning', they hate him because his Great Leap Forward was more like trampling on a long line of weaker innocent people. Millions of them. None of them had to die if he hadn't ignored people who said his great leap wouldn't work out too well. Among a number of other reasons the death toll was so astronomical.
When you think of a refugee/asylum seeker from the 60s and 70s, what do you see? Is it not overwhelmingly someone fleeing from an asian country or eastern europe? You know, where communism was in spades?
But yeah. I have many thoughts on this lol like it takes so much mental gymnastics for insisting why we have so many immigrants from "Old country" who never went back there that it makes my back hurt. As you said, a lot of people work in the US for a bit then go back for various reasons. But what about those from communistic countries? Oh, certainly they also sent money back home but that was literally so their family could join them away from that communistic hellhole they came from. Kind of ironic that to get away from communism you need to shake hands with capitalism but that's not the point here. It's just simply not possible to call it 'coincidence' and move on. It's not our fault commies can't seem to grasp the simple answer because there is simply no other legitimate answer besides 'compared to where they came from the US is a cakewalk'. Another on the list of 'things commies refuse to fully think about because then they have to face their own almost religious belief in communism'.

Idea 1: Vanessa quits her job
This idea is based on my interpretation that the Vanessa we see in Security Breach isn't really her; it's Vanny controlling her. Vanessa's consciousness is there, but all that she can do is just watch, like viewing your own life through an old television.
So after the 3-star ending, Vanessa would be left with a job that requires skills that "she" technically never had. She can't just pull up Vannys memories (which i have her being able to do because extra pain :D) because the memories of how to do that job are suspiciously gone, almost as if they were taken by Vanny just before she "left" as a final "f*ck you :D" to Vanessa.
So now all Vanessa has left are her own memories of watching herself push random buttons that do random things. It would be like trying to learn how to fly a plane solely by watching someone else do it.
Vanessa also realizes that she'd have to still assist lost children after hours, a thought that truly scares her. It's not because she doesn't like children, no. In fact, I believe Vanessa used to work really well with children due to her former position as a video game tester/coder.
It is also stated in the game in one of the logs that you can find that she was not recommended for a position as a security guard, so it just makes sense for her to leave afer being freed.
So she would put in her 2 weeks notice, but not before working out some special deal with the plex that allows her and Greg the gremlin of chaos to visit the pizzaplex whenever they want and for any length of time.
As for what job she would try to go back to? It would be her old job of beta testing and coding. She was evidently very good at it based on those cut AR emails. It might sound like tempting fate, but I think that Vanessa would be a heck of a lot more careful this time if she was put back on the VR project. That assumes that the project is still even active.
That way she can make sure that what happened to her, never happens to anyone again.
(I'm very sorry I haven't responded to the rest of your messages. I promise I haven't been ignoring you. School/work just sucks sometimes. I sincerely apologize).
Anyways....I love this theory. But can you imagine?
Vanessa leading a team of newly hired beta testers.
She takes the term, "internet safety" to a whole other level.
"Vanessa, why are there so many antivirus programs on our computers?"
"Because why not?"
VR headsets are 100% banned. If they aren't, I can see Vanessa refusing to put one on.
But she will walk someone through how to properly move around in one.
Gregory (and by extension, Vanessa) get a free, all-inclusive pass to come and go from the pizza plex.
This was Faz Entertainment's way of avoiding a lawsuit.
It only works, because Gregory misses Freddy (and the others, but he'll never admit to that, at least not until later).
Vanessa is content in never stepping foot in any establishment that is run by Faz Entertainment.
She'll eventually get over this and join Gregory when he visits the animatronics.
Afterall, she's missed her weirdly sentient, robotic family.

Human, All Too Human
In praise of Ingrid Bergman. By Sarah Kerr "The Billy Rose Tribute to Ingrid Bergman" Museum of Modern Art, New York City Dec. 22, 1997-Jan. 11, 1998 Ingrid Bergman had the greatest downcast eyes in history. That's what I concluded, anyway, when I first fell under the spell of old Hollywood movies and started making up trivia questions about actors and actresses as if they were the Brooklyn Dodgers. I'm not the only one who feels this way, either. Mention Bergman to a female cinephile and she'll let out a sad, admiring sigh. Barbara Stanwyck and Bette Davis had more zing, Carole Lombard and Katharine Hepburn were wittier, Joan Crawford had a certain compelling insanity, but Ingrid Bergman felt. She got her greatest effects in Casablanca and Gaslight and Spellbound and Notorious by swooping her eyes down to the floor and darting them back and forth, as if watching a mouse scurry across the room. She was the classic example of an intelligent, dignified woman turned by love into a big fluttering nerve.
Tumblr media
O n the basis of triumphs like A Woman's Face, David O. Selznick brought her over in 1939. When she refused to pluck her eyebrows and had trouble slimming down (with a rather charming lack of vanity, she binged on ice cream and cookies to calm anxiety), Selznick introduced his new Swedish export as a wholesome Greta Garbo--what Garbo might had been like if she'd grown up on a jolly farm. There followed striking performances in a string of heavy-handed movies (Intermezzo, 1939; For Whom the Bell Tolls, 1943; Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, 1941) and then Casablanca (1942), which went so badly during the filming that everyone involved was sure it would be the bomb of the year. During the entire shoot, no one ever told Bergman whether her character, Ilsa, was supposed to be in love with her brave, freedom-fighting French husband (Paul Henreid) or with Rick (Humphrey Bogart), the American she used to love, who had turned into a bitter cynic. Bergman was naturally frustrated and confused--she considered leaving the picture--but her uncertainty translated on-screen into a gorgeously accurate portrait of the way lovers swing back and forth between longing and the fear of too much pain.
The story behind Casablanca is so often told that it wouldn't be worth retelling if frustration and uncertainty did not become the hallmarks of Bergman's high-Hollywood style. Sadly, perhaps, she was at her best playing a woman in love with a man who won't let her know where she stands. In Gaslight (1944), she was a loyal wife to suave Charles Boyer, who slowly poisoned her and led her to believe she was going mad. In two collaborations with Alfred Hitchcock, she helped nudge the filmmaker toward his darker, late style, which pivots around a self-possessed heroine whose resistance to love needs to be broken down--often brutally. Like a piece of fancy candy, Bergman had a tough and shiny outside and an inside of bubbling goo. In Spellbound (1945), she was an overly intellectual psychiatrist who loses her cool when she falls for a colleague (Gregory Peck) who may be an insane killer. But her greatest role was in Notorious (1946), as Alicia Huberman, a self-loathing, hard-drinking daughter of a German spy who gets coerced into espionage herself by a U.S. agent (Cary Grant). He's too proud to admit that he loves her, so he encourages her to prostitute herself and risk her life by marrying the head of a Nazi conspiracy. The ending, in which he realizes she's in danger, breaks into the Nazi's mansion, and finds her rotting with poison (but beautiful as ever in the haunting chiaroscuro), may be the most romantic scene ever committed to film. It's typical Hitchcock and typical Bergman: The heroine must be tortured before she can get her reward.
Tumblr media
Were the movies she made with Rossellini worth this nightmare? Sort of. Rossellini didn't believe in such hidebound concepts as "plot" or "dialogue" or "acting." For their first film together, Stromboli (1950), he asked Bergman to play a sophisticated war refugee who marries a poor Italian fisherman and feels trapped by his backwardness. He sent the actress to a tiny, parched island; surrounded her with amateurs; and told her to make the whole thing up. The result was simultaneously poetic and dull, natural and pretentious. The sound quality was terrible, the dialogue flat and awkward. But Stromboli was a little like an early personal computer: It was clumsy and painfully slow, but in its scriptless wanderings, it hinted at a powerful new freedom. A generation later it was cited as an inspiration by pioneers of the French New Wave.
Bergman made four more films with Rossellini; the two I have seen are intriguing and dull. Then they split, and she survived by performing on the European stage until the United States finally allowed her back in in 1956. She made a number of Hollywood films, a few of which MOMA showed, most of which are charming but disappointingly lightweight. Because she was so unfairly punished for the Rossellini affair, there's a temptation to elevate the reputation of her less celebrated films, to point out the bounty of interesting work that Americans have missed out on or ignored in favor of chestnuts like Casablanca. But I think she did her best and most unique work in 1940s Hollywood. When Bergman arrived, leading actresses were superwomen, admirable but hyperstylized, like Garbo or Hepburn. After 1949, the year she left, they tended to split into two equally fantastical categories: big-breasted bimbos (Lana Turner, Marilyn Monroe) and anorexic princesses (Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn). In the middle was the supremely human Ingrid Bergman, sane but soulful, vulnerable but always able to attract and hold the love of men and audiences, for the simple reason that she deserved it.

GREGORY OF YARDALE X READER HEADCANONS
Part 1 ➛ Part 2
Word Count: 605
TW: None
All characters mentioned are aged up
➛Gregory’s family is quite wealthy, and he makes quite a lot of money from his missions with La Resistance, so he loves to spoil you
➛ He loves to give you flowers, and you’d get a beautiful bouquet every other day with a romantic note attached in beautiful cursive handwriting
➛ Though sometimes he forgets not everyone has a 4.0-grade average, and you have to ask others what he was trying to convey
"Hey, Kyle?" You look over to your desk partner.
"Hm? Yeah, what’s up?"
You glance back down to the letter, "Whats bewitching mean?"
"Bewitching? Oh, it means like pretty."
Your eyes widen, "Oh! So he wasn't calling me a witch?"
➛ He would leave the notes in different places each time, sometimes your locker, school desk, or even your doorstep!
➛ If you do give him gifts in return, he’d keep them displayed on his shelf, or even in his pocket so he would have a memento of you while away on missions for La Resistance
➛ Proper British boy, will constantly be correcting you every time you spell colour without the 'u'
➛ Gregory’s such a gentleman, he’d open doors for you, pull out your chair,  anything for you!
"Wait, y/n!" Gregory blocks you with his hand.
You stop in your tracks, "What is it?"
His eyebrows furrow, "There’s a puddle in front of us."
You look down, "...so?"
"I refuse to get our shoes wet."
 He takes off his jacket, placing it on top of the damp ground below.
"Now we may walk ;)"
"Greg!"
➛You lent him your jacket because he got cold (-.-)
➛ Gregory believes he has the best of styles, often discretely flaunting his brand name clothing items
➛ He would often leave out his jackets or gloves for you to wear, or even buy you new closets outfits completely
“Gregory, what’s this?” You ask, gesturing towards your dresser.
He looks up from his book, glancing from you to the shopping bag on your dresser. “New clothes, I saw you looking at them during our visit to the mall yesterday.”
“I was... but you didn’t have to buy them for me!”
“You like them though, do you not?” He looks at you, confused
“I do, but, you still didn’t have to!”
He smirks, “Of course I didn’t have to, though I did.” He flips the page of his book
“I- but- you- ...Thanks.”
➛ No matter how tall you may be, Gregory always manages to one-up you, wearing those fancy high heel boots to be taller
➛ He definitely takes his height to his advantage, kissing and patting the top of your head
➛ Gregory's typically great at keeping his cool to whatever display of affection you may put on
➛He's just hoping nobody notices the blush on his cheeks
➛Especially if its in front of his friends
You see Gregory in the distance able to recognize that blond hair anywhere. He talks with broad gestures, while his colleague stands with his arms crossed, and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.
“Gregory!” You run up and hug him from behind, almost causing him to lose his balance.
“Y/n!” he looks down at you, a flustered smile plastered on his blushing face.
“Just wanted to say hi ;D” You smile back, enjoying how red his face got from the action.
You hear a snort in front of Gregory, seeing his comrade blocking his smile with his fist, shaking slightly at the sight of his uptight partner getting so flustered.
“Mole! This isn’t funny!” Gregory shouts, causing Ze Mole to shake even harder with laughter.
A/N: OMG I DIDN’T REALISE I WROTE FOUR PAGES WORTH OF HEADCANONS JKSDHFNNJCVKSU
anyways imma spread them out into separate parts, and hopefully post them throughout the week (ngl I’m scared if they’re too long nobody will read them)
I’ve actually had these written up for 3 months now, I’ve just been procrastinating posting this, sorry sorry, anyways, hope you all enjoyed my first post!

Hello can I request where draco in fourth year having a crush on a hufflepuff reader but acts as arsehole cuz he doesn’t know how to show affection , leading it to her avoiding him which makes him depressed about what did he do wrong ?
Hi love. Thanks for the request.💕
I love writing Draco x hufflepuff!reader stories! I am a sucker for a slytherin x hufflepuff pairing.
I added a few extra details here and here. Hope you like it. X
Hopeful (Draco Malfoy x Hufflepuff!Reader)
Word count: 2100 sorry got a bit carried away. 😅
Warnings: None. Soft!Draco being an absolute blubbering idiot.
Draco’s thoughts are written in green
Tumblr media
Spring had arrived.
It could be felt in the cool and gentle zephyr that made the shiny new leaves on top of the once barren and dead trees rustle.
Daisies were in full bloom and the wind had managed to carry some of the petals away—making them fall to the ground, acting like a harbinger of the fast approaching summer.
Draco couldn’t be bothered if it was spring, or autumn or winter.
In that particular moment, all he wanted to do was get away from the Slytherin common room and Pansy Parkinson.
He had taken her to the Yule ball and things had sort of fizzled out afterwards. He couldn’t get himself to see her as anything other than a friend.
Having ran all the way to a far and secluded area of the Hogwarts grounds, Draco leaned against a tree trunk and panted heavily in an attempt to catch his breath.
“Are you—are you alright?”
Your voice startled him and he quickly stood up straight to look around.
You were sitting criss-crossed on the grass with your transfigurations textbook opened on your lap. Your shirt sleeves were rolled up and your yellow and black tie hugged very loosely around your neck.
“Fine.” He muttered as he slowly sat down noticing a single daisy tucked behind your ears.
After sitting there in complete silence for the next few minutes, he finally spoke up.
“What are you even doing here anyway?”
“Just wanted some peace and quiet to be honest.” You said, shrugging your shoulders. “It’s a beautiful day.”
Draco just hummed in response and kept staring at the daisy in your hair that swayed lightly with the breeze.
“What?” You asked when you noticed.
“You have—you have a twig stuck in your hair.”
“A daisy.” You corrected him as you closed your book and moved a bit closer to where he was sitting. “It’s a daisy.”
“Yeah I know that. I’m not stupid.” He said quickly. “But why?”
"Well, Daisies are essentially two flowers blended together in complete harmony." You said pulling the daisy out of your free falling hair before putting your hand forward to hand it to him.
“And?” Draco reluctantly took the flower from you and blinked his eyes in confusion.
“They are said to resemble innocence—true love even.”  You explained getting comfortable next to him.
“You believe in all that?” Draco scoffed, twirling the flower between his index finger and thumb. He couldn’t tell if the floral fragrance was coming from you or the air but it made him slightly queasy nonetheless.
“Merlin. No.” You scrunched up your nose. “It just gives me hope I guess.”
Draco gave you another hum in response. For someone who came up with snarky and sometimes witty comments on the spot, he found himself weirdly tongue tied.
“I know you were hiding from Pansy by the way.” You remarked, making a small smile pull at his lips.
“How come?”
“What do you mean how come?” You rolled your eyes. “Everyone can see that she is obsessed with you for some reason that I personally can't seem to comprehend.”
~~~~~
The next day during potions class, Draco slowly opened his book and started to absently doodle on it with his quill while Snape talked about the upcoming potions essay that had to be done in pairs.
Draco knew he should be paying attention but he just couldn’t get the interaction between you two out of his head.
And just when he took a deep breath and decided to focus, a familiar scent started to fill his lungs up.
Fruity, almost spicy notes of strawberry and pink grapefruit mixed with gardenias, vanilla and musk. It felt like someone had tossed a huge bouquet into the room.
He knew it was you without even bothering to look up from my book.
"Ah, Miss y/l/n. Late again." Snape muttered. “Five points from Hufflepuff house.”
You quietly sat down next to your friend with your head hung low and Draco fought an unexplainable urge to give you a hug.
"The essay must be done in pairs.." Snape said.
Great.
"Ronald Weasley and Gregory Goyle."
This is exactly what I needed right now. Thanks Snape.
"Blaise Zabini and Hannah Abott."
The last thing I need is someone weighing my essay down.
"Draco Malfoy and y/n y/l/n."
What?
You turned back to look at Draco and gave him  an apologetic smile and he didn't understand why you kept smiling at him. It's not like the both of you had suddenly formed an unlikely bond with each other.
Draco scowled at you in return and quickly raised his hand. "May I work on my essay alone?"
"No. You may not Mr. Malfoy."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You and Draco had been studying in the library for almost an hour. Because you were quietly sitting next to him, his elbows and knees slightly brushed yours every few seconds and as much as he hated to admit it, He secretly enjoyed it.
Contrary to yesterday, Draco was trying very hard to make a conversation with you. You seemed somewhat offended that he had asked Snape to work on the essay alone.
“I am happy to do most of the writing if you can look up all the ingredients.” You offered.
You don’t have to do all of that yourself. I am happy to help with the writing too. Is what he should have said.
“Fine whatever.” He said instead as he reached for a copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi.
That night, Draco stayed up tossing and turning in his bed before giving up on getting any sleep for the night.
He lethargically walked towards his dresser and put his hands in his blazer pocket pulling out the now dried and pressed daisy from the other day.
Taking a deep breath, he put the flower in between the pages of his copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi.
You were drawing him in, undoing him, unraveling him even.
He knew that.
But did you?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Draco! Open up."
His head jolted towards the door and He quickly walked over to open it.
You stood on the other end with books tucked in your arms, wearing your denim shorts and a plain white tank top—looking like summer personified.
The more time he spent with you, the more he started to notice your quirks. Like that the way your skin glowed as the days got warmer.
Compliment her. Do it. It’s not Difficult.
“Did you do something different to your hair?”
“Uh—no why are you asking.”
“It just looks a bit strange.” He commented wanting to slap himself.
"Okay, well are you going to let me in?" You questioned, wondering why he was blocking the way and asking you about your hair.
Why did you have to wear that God damned tank top-
"Sorry?" You asked stepping inside making his cheeks burn when he realized he wasn’t meaning to say that out loud.
"Just shut up and get back to working in the essay or whatever it is that you were doing." Draco grumbled feeling embarrassed as he grabbed some fresh parchment.
Okay. Focus. The Strengthening solution requires...
You stretched a little and pushed your hair away from your face.
several days to mature...
"Staring is rude Draco." You suddenly interrupted his thoughts as you set your eyes on his—peering right into his soul.
Draco felt like he was giving you some sort of power over him and the possibility of you using that power and leaving him heartbroken made him feel so very vulnerable.
He couldn't take the vulnerability a second longer.
 "I don't think we should study together anymore." He blurted quickly standing up. “It's for the best.”
"Huh?" You stood up contorting your face in total confusion—wondering just what you had done to piss him off. "What's wrong Draco? Did I do something wrong?"
"Leave. Now." He muttered with his teeth clenched.
Please don’t go.
"Just go—leave please."
You couldn’t help but feel a sharp sting burning your insides as you gathered all the books that were on the floor and ran made your way towards hufflepuff dormitories with tears threatening to flood your eyes.
As soon as you ran off, he punched his wall and muttered out the plethora of angry curses when the impact bruised his knuckles.
~~~~~~~~~~~
During the following week, Draco failed to show up to any of your shared classes after you had refused to talk to him after what happened.
Even if you did manage to see him walking down the halls or walking with Crabbe and Goyle, you noticed that he looked like he hadn’t eaten or slept in days.
On a Tuesday, Draco looked at the Hufflepuff table during breakfast and when you caught his eye, all you did was look away.
Everyone at school had their opinions about him—most of them weren’t good opinions.
But when you were with him under that tree, he seemed different. His smirk was more playful than condescending. It managed to charm you in a way.
You took a final bite of your toast and gathered all your books, walking to your Potions class.
His seat still remained empty and you shook your head, trying to snap away from the thoughts of him as you flipped open your book.
Only it wasn’t your book.
You didn’t remember writing on the margins and making annotations on your book.
Running your fingertips along the pages, you flipped to the very first page of the book.
D. Malfoy was written in ridiculously neat handwriting and you shook your head when you realized that you had grabbed his book with you that day by mistake.
And just when you were about to put his book away, something fell from in between the pages and fell onto your desk.
It was the daisy you had woven into your hair the other day. Even in its dried state, the petals remained intact like her had done something to keep them that way.
When class was finally over, you made a quick beeline towards the slytherin dungeons, bumping into people along the way.
~~~~~~~~~
“Some hufflepuff girl is standing outside the dungeons asking to see you.” Theo shrugged when he saw Draco at the common room sofa. “Says it's urgent.”
He felt terrified yet so elated as he quickly stood up and made his way outside.
“Here’s your book.” You said taking a step towards him. “You never told me what’s wrong by the way.”
“Thank you.” Draco quickly took his book from you and stared at the ground.
“Why did you stop talking to me y/n?”
“You told me to go away—If I remember correctly.” You said shaking your head at him. “Tell me Draco, what’s wrong?”
“Everything.” He said quietly, meeting your gaze.
"What do you mean?"
"You make me feel all weak.....and smiley...and I hate it." He looked at you with agitation.
"Weak?" You ran your  fingers through your hair in confusion.
"And your ridiculous white tank top." Draco half yelled.
"What's wrong with my top?" You asked, raising your voice slightly as if you had had enough of this.
"Nothing is wrong except for the fact that you look stunning in it.” He blurted involuntarily. "It is absolutely distracting when one is trying to study!."
He watched you open your mouth in shock and close it. Before he could spend another minute trying to solve the riddle that was your expression, you grabbed him by his tie and placed your lips on his.
His brows furrowed as he kissed you back tenderly. Tasting the sweetness of your lips—pouring out every bit of suppressed passion and adoration he felt for you with his lips.
There was something so strange and euphoric about finally kissing someone he had been longing to kiss for so long.
Something so magical about holding the person that fits perfectly into his arms.
Freaking Finally.
He was slightly disappointed when you slowly backed away, but the glow on your skin and the glossy ness in your eyes made him smile.
"I guess I'll leave before I realize the consequences of what I have just done." You said softly as you held his face and placed a small peck on his lips.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day, you found a tiny box and an envelope on your desk when you woke up. Your roommate let you know that Draco Malfoy had stopped by late last night when you were asleep and half begged and half threatened her to leave the box on your desk.
You slowly opened the box and found a bedazzled and whimsical looking daisy necklace, encrusted with gems.
A Daisy for my daisy.
You give me hope.
