i know that in the end we are all watching a tv show that is heavy on the copaganda and that’s a decision we’re all making but: i will never ever ever ever ever ever side with athena about the dennis jenkins issue.

that man rehabilitated, he bettered himself, he worked with and for his community, he did basically what we ask any individuals who offend to do. and he still got punished for it. and he’s still being punished for it today.

if you need a perfect example of a redemption arc look no further than dennis jenkins, and yet the narrative treats him as if he’s still in the wrong. and yet some people still believe he deserves to pay for something.

it’s sad to see that even in a tv show people still call for punitive actions for criminal justice involved individuals instead of more humane and restorative ones.

no but seriously the way some people choose to focus way more on what is happening purely on a surface level in a scene when there are so many elements that are at work to tell a story especially in a visual medium like television. well that is so bizarre. the subtext of something, the composition and framing of how characters are being shown and the implications drawn from that, the things being left unsaid, the acting choices, the character work done prior that informs it, all of this is just as important as what is physically happening and the dialogue being said. the ability to imagine a potential trajectory of a story is a valuable skill but it needs to go hand in hand with the ability to accept you can be wrong, especially if you’re deliberately not factoring in all the information. if you’re perfectly happy dissecting micro expressions otherwise, but when it comes to something you don’t want or like you’re acting like a good story is only told on a surface level and reading into it is insane and everything has to be spelled out to count, it’s pretty obvious you are being deliberately obtuse. and frankly that attitude is why a lot of people can’t seem to find enjoyment in the journey of the story or in fandom anymore and try to blame others for it

pick up driver came by for one of our cars and he was soooo pretty and soooo cute i’m gonna throw up…he had the prettiest greenish blue eyes and a short scruffy beard and dark blonde hair… so bc none of our salesmen were available to help him i had to wait with him…we chatted for a little bit he was the sweetest :((( he apologized for eating all the snacks and i told him he could have whatever he wanted </3 eventually our salesmen helped him but he came back to the front desk and thanked me for helping him with his english (he’s ukrainian) and said i was so kind and that he hoped he could see me again the next time he has a pickup ……i literally can’t stop smiling :’)

so torn between wether or not I wanna experience Chapter 3 and 4 of Deltarune on my laptop or on my switch. I want it to be my laptop but I much prefer the switch since I can have it anywhere and also the controllers work with me better than WASD do. Problem is: I’d have to add money onto my eshop account, money that I already have in my Steam Wallet. It’s so tedious to go to the store and get a giftcard and walk all the way back home and sometimes they don’t even have enough so I have to buy like three seperate ones instead of the one (1) and rub the code.. And I don’t have a credit card or PayPal or anything yet so I can’t just do it fast at home……UGHHHHH

okay I’m almost finished but another bit of mota dialogue that bothers me is in ep 4 when bucky is like all these new faces if we go down they won’t remember us etc. and buck is like “what does it matter?” and bucky is like “nothing I guess” is that even grammatically correct. it doesn’t sound like proper english to me like i’ve never heard anyone reply to that question with “nothing” it just doesn’t sound right to me
