It’s Over (X-Men)

Why did I read Christmas stories thinking it would cheer me up?  It had the exact opposite effect.

“Did the two of you tell your parents everything that happened this week?”  Two faces beamed up at Nightcrawler, one blue with fangs, the other rounded with blue eyes.  “We did!” a duet of cheerful voices called out.

“I told Mommy about acing my test this week.”  One voice was brash and confident.

“And I told my parents about the new friends I made.”  The other was softer and uncertain.

“Gut, gut.  The two of you can go wait in the car while Daddy tells your parents about grown-up things, okay?”  When the 2nd grader and the kindergartener had happily returned to the car and gotten out of the wind, Kurt turned to the three gravestones in front of him.  Four of the roses from his bouquet went on the grave of his late wife.  The other eight were laid on the headstone that said ‘Kitty Pryde.  Beloved friend and mother.  She will be missed.’

Having done that, the German turned to stare at the one grave he hadn’t honored.  “I thought I was fine, as long as she was happy with you.  But you couldn’t even manage that, you piece of shit?

“All the fighting, all the times we saved the world.  Watching her geek out over every new thing in the world of electronics or shame a mob just by talking to them.  Letting her coax me into the spotlight, into becoming a leader.

“But who am I now in this world without her?  Petty and dull and full of doubts.  Oh, what does it matter, it’s already done?  Now I’ve got to be here for your daughter and my son.”

Kurt’s shoulders slumped and his voice lost the hard edge of anger, though it was still saturated with bitterness.  “You’ve won and she chose you and she loved you and she’s gone.  It’s over, isn’t it?  Why can’t I move on?”  Yellow eyes narrowed one last time at the gravestone and his fangs flashed into a snarl.  But in the end, all the energy drained out of the current leader of the X-Men.  He turned around and trudged back to the car, carefully putting on the mask of stability that the two children inside needed on.

He couldn’t afford to grieve, not while they depended on him.

Her fingers are so soft and careful against his face that it’s amazing that he can tell that they’re there at all. And being drugged up on morphine for the pain in his hands from that shrapnel in the explosion his world’s Iceman had set off–being able to feel anything at that point was a miracle.Miss Pryde is trustworthy. That is also a miracle to recognize, out of his head with groggy memories surfacing with the liquid happy and numb rushing through him by way of an actually sterile IV.He can’t remember the last time he had the need to have someone else trim his facial hair. Maybe it was on that porch in Alaska with the wolves howling at the quarter moon, with Linda taking scissors meant for fingernails to his face while waiting for the water to boil for their tea. Maybe it was the night after that sudden flooding in the “safe” zone for the people of his world, after pulling them out of collapsing houses and the topmost branches of trees; Bobby had said, “You look way older than you are. It’s creepy. Want help with a trim?” Kurt groaned from the relief of the last of the beard he had grown in the medical bay falling away, Kitty’s hands easily picking up the long hairs and depositing them in the trash. Wiping away the excess that had fallen around his head and breathing steady while making sure he was comfortable.When she picked up the scissors and began her way back upstairs, he had the lack of enough of his usual mind to ask ‘why?’She turned a little and addressed him pleasantly, eyes ghosting over him and answer honest, “Logan doesn’t notice small things like what makes people comfortable. It didn’t seem like he was going to cut your beard when you didn’t ask for it, but in all the time you’ve been here, I’ve never seen you with more than a few extra whiskers. It seemed worth it to try.”Red eyes, sliding closed with each word she gave freely, blinked at her and he wasn’t even surprised at the answer to that leaving him of his own volition before he could second-guess himself; before he fell asleep for what must have been the tenth time in just the last day, “Thank you.”

“I mean...you took that guy down in less than 2 minutes and...didn´t break a sweat, that´s hot” Ariel states to a now very amused Kurt Darkholme. Peace and rebuilding does not mean Utopia and crimes still happen and Rogue is now the one leading the X-men who are dealing with the tragic of weapons (Apocalypse de-power many mutants and a mad scientist managed to take those powers and turn into weapons) “Not bad for a man of your age” she concludes.

Kurt Darkholme is not phased by this line in the slightest. “Yeah, way better than the new students. Wanna know my favorite thing about you?” Kurt Darkholme asked as they are about to end with the boss of this organization. Rogue gave then license to kill the person (the new Era is peaceful and laws are in place to stop the anarchy to take over)

“Of course”

“Your smile”

“Really?”

“Yeah...we´re about to kill this waste of life and still have this pretty smile”

“Awww”

And well, the boss of the organization is not saying aww at this exchange. Now, the boss is not saying anything.

Hi hi to the mun,

No, imagine how hilarious it would be if Azazel for all his flaws decide that taking over the world is not important and just fucks off. The whole ONLY KURT CAN END AZAZEL is now pointless. Then what Destiny?

Technically, Kurtty mun, that's exactly what happened during Krakoa.

Like for real. I'm gonna ask you to rewind a lil' far back, as far back as the Moira timelines and many lives reveal. Now tell me.

How many of these worlds had Nightcrawler dead ? How many of these had Azazel take over the World ?

Most of those lives end with mutants dyings, including Nightcrawler. None had Azazel takeover and it's implied he never even tried back then. It was always someone else like Apocalypse (implied AoA) and yet Destiny let those worlds of death and destruction happen anyway (Maybe because those let her stay with her victim ? After all, it was her main motivation to even make Kurt since Azazel would have prevented that).

Let's move forward a bit : After Madelyne builds the Limbo Embassy at the end of Dark Web, Azazel canonically fucks off there. He's actually been chilling there for months and hasn't been at paradise island long before the 3rd Hellfire Gala and Fall of X.

What does it mean ? It means during Nightcrawler's horn phase and the mutants being infected by a magic illness, Azazel had nothing to do with it. It means when Sins of Sinister happened and the World fell into chaos in a big takeover, it was because of Mister Sinister, not Azazel.

Azazel did jack during SoS and probably died, like everyone else on Earth back then from Doom to Wanda to Namor. He literally didn't do anything like usurping control over Sinister's Empire which should be possible if he was so power hungry and powerful as Destiny's vision implies. Yet that's not what happened.

Post SoS is even funnier in that aspect because the whole World got taken over by ORCHIS. And what did Azazel do ? Get hired by Madelyne as part of her makeshift superhero team of Dark X-Men, to not even deal with ORCHIS but rescue their captured mutants and help those scattered around. Azazel didn't react much to the World not being his to dominate, like it wasn't important to him at all.

Azazel then dies at the end of Dark X-Men without ever meeting with Nightcrawler, his Nightcrawler, our Nightcrawler, again.

You know the meme of "Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing" ? This is Nightcrawler. For all the premeditation in his conception, life, personality, ambitions and motivation, genetic makeup, friend/family relationship, team affiliation, for all the suffering he had to undergo, every calculated move Destiny secretly put him through,

It was absolutely pointless because it has been proven time and time again (Moira's lives, PoX, SoS, ... Which all depend on 616) that the way Azazel acts would never lead to anything shown in Destiny's vision.

The saddest part is, you bet your ass not even in the worlds where Azazel doesn't do a takeover would Mystique and Destiny treat Nightcrawler well or raise him. You bet your ass not even in those worlds where Azazel is chill does Nightcrawler ever find out the truth of his parentage. You bet your ass that in none of those worlds would Mystique and Destiny ever care about him dying. After all, they didn't care when he died in Days of Future Past and that death IN 616 was all on them.

In all of those worlds, Mystique chooses her pimp over Nightcrawler. In all of those worlds, the pimp only has him to keep her victim, who's happy to be with her and forget about him. In all of those worlds, Nightcrawler is useless, uncared for and worthless to both and they knowingly let it be while they live happily with their replacement child.

You cannot make this prophecy into a bigger joke and lie on Destiny's part that, while Azazel was an X-Men, Nightcrawler was on a 'find yourself' journey (this is a person who's been retconned to have been conceived to always be good and focused and never change course of who he is yet he spent all of Krakoa being ooc for no reason and doing immoral stuff) by pretending to be Spider-Man during a world takeover by the bad guys that don't have superpowers.

It was during a takeover by a powerless anti-mutant group who captured a monstrous bamf dragon that eats mutants that Azazel dies.

So I had to take a step back to really think about this one because as much I hate prophecies in a story, I can overlook as long it makes sense. Like if you tell me in this fantasy land the only person who can defeat the big bad is this kid bc she has the magical sword...ok, I suspend my disbelief and accept it.

With this retcon...its really hard to do that. Because the implications are either there to spit Kurt or Spurrier is really incompetent. The pimp creates a means to prevent anyone (in this case, sole Azazel)from being together and then...thats it. The kid doesnt matter and it can die as far she cares.

Also...how Azazel would prevent them to be together?

I´m now imaging Azazel, in Destiny´s mind, hissing at them and the grow up women need a toddler to protect themselves....THIS IS SO PATHETIC.

If Azazel is this big deal why they dont end him right here and there?

N/A: Kurt Darkholme is a magnificent angel/bastard.

Ariel will hardly see say she is the most beautiful woman in the world, but, privately, she never really dream in being in such position...Woman that are too pretty tend to suffer the most in history.

And now Ariel is feeling that in her skin as Piotr Rasputin deems Kitty Pryde as the most beautiful woman on earth and is worthy of bearing his children, of course, his idea of courtship is basically killing any person she has any contact.

He almost murders Doug Ramsey, a boy that has 14 years old, because Kitty spend time with the teenager and help him to cope with his pain( Ariel is a heroine and defeated Apocalypse along with the X-men)

"Any news about Doug?" Ororo asked breaking Kitty from her trance.

"He is still under surgery. Dr Stranger told me he is out of danger but he´ll need therapy and more surgeries...it was a miracle that Doug gets out alive" Kitty confessed.

"Indeed, Kitten, I won´t excuse Piotr´s behaviour here, the man is a damn right lunatic and all I can say is ...we fought together once, if you need help, don´t hesitate to ask"

Kitty only hugs Ororo and makes an odd confession. "It may sound stupid, but, sometimes I think I have a guardian angel. Cyclops think I arrive at saved Doug in the last minute, but, it wasn´t me...I arrive there but Doug was already out of Piotr´s grip and the man was shouting something about the demon, angels to nothing..."

"Well, Kitten...let´s be honest, we X-men have seen weird things"

Meanwhile, Piotr Rasputin is have to deal with the "angel" a demon with azzure fur and scarlet eyes who has no qualms in killing as the "angel" rip Piotr´s arm apart.

"Last words?"

"Kitty is MINE!"

"If you wanna go with that" and Kurt Darkholme cut his head off. His first assignment is proving to be interesting. He can protect this Kitty Pryde better than any angel wishes to.

"Why Belasco give me this task I´ll never know but I´m starting to enjoy it"

Vampire au

N/A: An sort of mix of Dracula and Hellsing here. Kurt D is too cool to not be both. Also, this is an AU so mutants are here walking and talking and still going on the same social norms as the humans, now, I´d not know all the details on the Victorians social cues...so, I´ll make things up, but, hey, those are fucked up times so...yeah.

Victorian England is a period that is inspiring many writers to write romance, even though, ironically, most of the romances about ladies seeking marriages comes from nobles men.

Romance is a mechanism and hardly is a matter of the heart. Kitty "Ariel" Pryde can testify how Victorian England can be devoid of colour and full of rules.

In fact, the only excitement is when a new neighbour moves to the two storey house in front of Kitty Pryde, the house is pretty old, always give a haunting impression and many jokes the ghost of the past live there waiting for the master to return. Of course, is just a silly legend.

But, someone living in this old house is enough to make many people gossip. Rumour has it and is a very reliable source, a count of Bavaria is coming to stay the season in England and many women are interested in this aspect.

Yet, Ariel(as many like to call her) likes to point out no one knows anything about this man or if he´s really going to live here, and she has to admit is really boring have to gossip about a possible non-existent person.

"Better stick with my books then, at least, I´d know there´s a character there" Ariel is on the balcony of her house, the young woman is blessed to be born in a good and open mind family(many wanted Kitty to marry when she hit 14 but her family manages to dodge this situation until she´s older enough)  a long-suffering sigh escape her lips "alas, I know, soon enough, I´ll have to marry, I wish something more exciting would happen, more exciting then a new neighbour"

Absently her eyes travel to the old house and watch a pair of scarlet eyes in the window. A man with azure fur and a grimace as visiting card caught her doe eyes and the woman suddenly forget her old book, who is now laying on the ground, the old house has really a master after all.

The scarlet eyes have no pupil or iris and Ariel didn´t feel time pass down, until, her mother put her hand on her shoulder telling is dinner time, and when Ariel looks back, the scarlet eyes are gone.

Jean Grey is the daughter of a wealthy family, in fact, is safe to say the Grey are so wealth to the point only the Royal family can rival, so, this makes Jean a very suitable wife to be and many, many men try to gain her affections.

Warren Warrington is the chosen one. A young bachelor who is following the decor of the engagement with all the letters, to the point, Jean and Waren, can´t see each other alone.

The Greys once hearing that the Count is in town and living so close of them, decide to throw a party in his honour, as the costume goes, of course, and Kitty Pryde has to admit, she´s too curious to see the Count.

("No one ever saw him, said he´s too ugly" "I heard he´s too handsome" "Too old, bet he has no hair in his head and wears one of those wigs" )

The man arrives, much later, when the full moon is shining in the sky without any cloud, wearing fine clothes, a smirk on his face and his eyes, still scarlet as she remembers. No pupil, no iris, and wearing a new type of glasses, one called googles, that give an orange mix with his scarlet eyes.

The man is terribly late, and the Greys show displeasure in this fact, even if he´s a noble, however, his snarl like a smile is enough to prevent the count to be scowled.

"Guten Nicht, Am I late for the party?" the count looks with a bit of mock to the surroundings. Women were separated in one corner and men in another and all are wearing far too many clothes.

Kitty, in her own little space, saw how the count´s mouth twitch upward in a mock fashion, but, maybe the others didn´t saw or care, and many mothers went to the Count to introduce him to their daughters, and, without any regards to proper education or social norms, the count just refutes saying he´s not feeling well.

"I´m a bit hungry" Kitty heard him speak with his Bavarian accent, the south Bavarian tone, and notices how the man´s teeth seem too sharp, but, her muses aren´t that important. "I´m afraid, I need to drink something, is there´s any good Bloody Mary?"

"Bloody Mary?" Kitty asked now gaining his attention and the fury of many mothers wanting to marry their daughters. Is a bit uncommon to drink Bloody Mary at this hour?  And, the guests already dinner, so, why the count is hungry? Didn´t he eat? "I´m afraid Lord Williams already drink all the Bloody Mary" Kitty speaks in a light tone and she is not lying here "but, I think there´s wine here..."

"Wine?" the count is pondering for a moment "yes, that would be gut" and then he introduces himself amused by everyone´s reaction, if the foreign man wants to be the eccentric one, Kitty can join in the harmless prank. The man kissed her hand and this didn´t go unnoticed.

"Ladies, we´ll be the scandalous thing to drink wine, fret not, I´ll return the good count Darkholme in one piece" Kitty promised to the old ladies and Kurt Darkholme is far too amused.

"You shouldn´t kiss woman´s hands like that" Kitty lightly chastised as they are drinking good wine. "be prepared for tomorrow thousands of old ladies suddenly visit your house to talk about their daughter, oh, what surprised they are single" Kitty jokes and knows very well she´s breaking a protocol here, yet, she´s not caring. Later, her mother and father may chastise more seriously(but, this has to be the only time something fun happens in the Grey´s parties)

"You, English folks, are very funny to me, I´m here to have a nice vacation and I think I've got a nice place" Kurt speaks smirking and showing his teeth, they are really sharp. Kitty shakes her head. "by the way, can you tell me more about the fine people in this party? You seem to be a very reasonable person"

"Thank you, Is a cross I have to carry." she jokes and gives a small sum up of who is who. "And look, I must warn you right away, Jean Grey is engaged to Lord Warrington and this is their celebration party" she explained in the best she could, but, she must have failed as Kurt starts laughing pretty hard, almost dropping his goblet.

Kitty, not wanting to be too defiant or gain attention, put her finger on his lips, this makes the laughter ceased, while, his scarlet eyes are amused. Kitty´s finger has no glove, nothing and is touching his cold lips.

"Oh, this is a party? Oh, I´ve much to learn" Kurt Darkholme states once Kitty takes her finger from his lips.

"Yes, you´d! And, why are you here? count Darkholme?" Kitty asked the man, still gazing at his scarlet eyes.

"I´m here to have fun, Katzchen, and please, don´t call me Count Darkholme, I´m not that old" there´s a hint of a smile on the corner of his mouth again. "Can I ask a question?" the woman nods "are you here with somebody?"

"A husband?" Kitty asked again and shakes her head. Piotr is giving strong hints to want to be her husband and Kitty is giving strong replies of how she feels about that. A big NO. _______________________________________________________________

The men in the corner have enough of their private conversation and take Kurt Darkholme to their side to enjoy a nice chat as a man do. Cigars were distributed and talk about God were offered and Kurt gives a smile for all of them.

Bobby Drake or as he prefers to be called, Lord Williams(Is a name his father gave to him as he inherited the big house of the family), seems very upset the good wine is over and makes some comments about the person who steals it. "Count Darkholme, that woman has no right, I tell you, no right to take my wine" and the man is getting mad and madder. "I´ll teach that woman a lesson"

Count Darkholme only smiles. "Is life worth losing for wine?"

And Lord Williams, not minding the smiles of Count Darkholme nor the other men rolling their eyes at this childish act, replied. "Of course, is worth even die for good wine"

The party is over and people are going home, no one saw Count Darkholme´s carriage, yet, the man is no longer in the house. No one saw Lord Williams either, but, the man must be drinking with colleagues or with one of his girlfriends.

Next morning, one of the maids of the Grey household, spit Lord Williams dead in the wine cellar, attacked as an animal would and left to rotten in next to the finest wine. This news is a hot topic in the city. Along with Count Darkholme.

Rebellion comes in many forms, and, clearly Ariel most be the most rebel person in London as she often is reading even though, according to the social norms, is not respectable for a woman to read.

In fact, Kitty Pryde often is seen in the library with a good book in her hand and a hairpin in the other, you see, men think a woman should have the basic education, but, shouldn´t be here in the library. This is a place for men.

Kitty notices she´s going to be late, again, thanks to a good book. So, she is walking calmly with her pin in hand as men don´t always are that respectful to a woman who reads.

"Miss Pryde?" the male voice of the Count jolts the woman, but, she feels at ease, Kurt Darkholme never seems to mind how "rebel" Ariel is. "Strolling under the moonlight?" Darkholme asked showing his teeth and makes quips how the night is beautiful.

"Oh, no, not really, I was lost to time thanks to this book" she points the green cover book with a smile" and you?"

"The night is too beautiful to stay inside" and his smile seems far too feral to be humane, but, Kitty is fascinated by his scarlet eyes, it may be her silly impression, but, her eyes seem to get an even deeper shade of red. "But, I´d think I owe you an apology" Kitty is confused and Kurt continues, "you told me thousands of mothers would come to my house to make me meet their daughters...I didn´t believe in you. I´m sorry"

Kitty laughs amused. She remembers faintly, how a woman of her position isn´t allowed to laugh like that in front of a man, yet, Kitty is not caring at all.

"Don´t think too poorly of those mothers, Kurt" she speaks once she got her laughter over. And now, a sad smile creeps on her face "we, woman, live in a very cruel world, this is what we have been taught to do and is hard to think outside the proverbial box."

"Well, you seem to think outside the box, Katzchen" the man replied amused and offers to escort her home. The conversation about gender continues and Kitty notices how Kurt seems to enjoy making fun of the situation.

"In Bavaria is different?" she asked already seeing her house from the distance.

"You can say that," Kurt replied amused. Once, Kitty is greeted by her maid save and sound, Kurt adds swiftly "Save and sound, Katzchen, now, be careful next time, there are many strange things happening in this city and I don´t want nothing bad to happen to you" and with that the man politely retrieves himself.

The maid guides Kitty to the dining room, where Cameron Pryde, is talking in a hushed tone with his wife and now with his only daughter. "Normally, I would share this information with you, as is very delicate, but, I believe you two must know" and Cameron takes no time in giving the bad news "Fred Dukes is murder"

"Well, I hardly think anyone will miss him, the man was creepy and eat anything that he could take his hands on" Terry Pryde replied and Kitty knows stories of cannibalism involving Fred aka Blop.

"Yes, but...the curious part is that a shark eats the flesh of the already dead Fred, after an investigation, turns out someone drink the blood of the man and then feed to the shark, the one Dr Loius is studying, if the poor man wasn´t in another state people would suspect him"

"Well, I never like this Dr...bring a shark here? Is a silly notion" Terry replied again and Kitty mentions, once her mother stops ranting about how Dr Louis is a bad man, how many there are many stories of people with less blood than they should be.

"I´m afraid, Kitten, this is also real, the police has no idea on what to do, several women have been found drained of their own blood" and Cameron comment on the first case and Ariel somehow remembers the first day Kurt Darkholme arrives a woman lost her blood.

Jean Grey is now anaemic. Is news that many, many people are talking about with a genuine obsession. Her fiance is trying to find a cure, and no one seems to understand how a healthy woman is almost on the verge of death, well, they don´t seem to care for that aspect very much.

"A party?" Kurt Darkholme asked as once again they are walking together, more to gossip about, and more to talk about among them. A secret jokes among friends. "Oh, like that joyful party?" the snide is visible on his face and Kitty cracks a smile.

"No, think something extravagant, now add more 10x the extravagance, those are the engagement parties, the one you went to was a mere meeting, you see, the Grey´s parties are so amazing that even the royals show up and people even make their appointment with the seamstress to get something to upper hold the party" Kitty explained with a dull expression, even her dear mother is in this fever, having the seamstress stress out for a perfect dress to Kitty. Something pink is quickly charted away and is promptly refused by Kitty. She prefers blue over pink.

"Oh, another dull party then" Kurt´s own dull face mirrors Kitty and it makes his red scar even more visible. "And how is this Jean Grey?"

"Oh" Kitty rolls her eyes "she´s the perfect example of woman, in fact, she´s not scandalous as me, her fashion is on point and never would wear something so forbidden" she jokes earning a chuckle from Kurt Darkholme. "See, Jean Grey would never show her neck as I do. What a virtuous woman"

"In comparison, your neck is much more lovely than hers"

"Thank you, my good Count, at least, you have good taste"

Jean Grey´s health is restored thanks to the miracle of blood donation, however, Jean Grey is a bit different and has been seen with many men and woman in her chambers. Has been using different outfits, far too revealing and has acting strange.

Before Jean Grey would blush and smile at the mention of motherhood for her, now, she recoils in horror and there´s a witness that saw a woman too similar to Jean murdering a baby.

Warren is gathering a group to help to unravel what´s happening, and to everyone´s shock, he asked Kitty Pryde for help too. Jean and Kitty aren´t closet friends in the slightest, but, in Warren´s mind, Kitty´s is discreet and good with people, and maybe, Jean could have confided something with the brunette.

They meet Jean Grey, she was in a crypt of her family, drinking the blood of a child and being half naked, not an appealing image to anyone. Especially as her teeth are now fangs and her eyes are dark as her soul.

"A vampire?!" Warren speaks in fear and tries to fight the woman he once loved, but, Jean replied sweetly. "Warren, my sweet angel boy, I´ve never loved you. And now, I´m free" and Jean Grey drains his blood.

Guns were shot as Jean Grey and no success, however, the sun is setting and the first rays of the sun are enough to make Jean Grey hurls in pain and slowly turns into dust.

No party at the Greys ever again.

"At least, the vampire is dead," one of them said, but, Kitty knows the history is not over.

Kitty arrives in the old house, the residence of Kurt Darkholme, and is greeted by the man drinking sangria aka Bloody Mary. A smile plays on his face and Kitty is gazing at his scarlet eyes again, not as red as they were in the past.

"Jean Grey is a vampire" she speaks not minding the protocols and never will.

"I know" is his reply.

"Many people have been killed and had their blood drained"

"I know" again, is his only reply.

"And...are you a vampire too?"

"Yes," Kurt Darkholme does not deny.

"Are you going to hurt me?"

"No" he replied again.

"Why are you here?"

"Honestly? To have laughter at people, your social norms are a joke for me, but, meeting you makes the experience better, Katzchen, I want to ask something and only you can answer that" Kurt Darkholme then replied in a soft tone with a Bavarian accent far too strong to be ignored "do you want to come with me? I can´t force you"

"Didn´t you ask this for Jean as well?" there´s a hint of jealousy in her tone.

"No, Jean was an accident, I drink her blood, but, she didn´t drink mine, so, she was never a real vampire, in fact, the whole experience only wake what she repressed for so long. To turn someone into a vampire the first vampire needs to share the blood, is almost like a marriage, but, with blood"

Kitty closes her eyes and asked. "It will hurt?" and this is a question that answers almost everything.

The Prydes are surprised and happy when Kitty reveals to engage with Kurt Darkholme. Even if the engagement was too soon, it does not bother them, a year from now, Kitty Pryde will be Mrs Darkholme and the Prydes are so happy that their daughter will be a countess. No questions will be made.

Beauty is a trait many begs to receive. Wisdom, power and a good heart are secondary, you can read, you can train..but if you´re ugly then the world will have its door lock forever, look at Hephaestus, the poor God is talent but ugly as sin. Raven Darkholme does not have time for ugly.

Aphrodite, Mystique or Raven are names fitting for the deity that can be anything and anyone. Her beauty was sung with devotion until it was not and now...her temples are empty, no sweet aroma, no flowers, no sacrifices and Raven is left wondering what happened.

It can´t be a war, even in the deadliest war, people have time to worship Raven...why her temples are empty?

Raven Darkholme´s spies were sent to understand why her temples are empty, why no one is singing her name and why no one is wanting her blessing. For a moment, Raven was sure her Ex was involved in this plot, yet, her spies prove wrong, for a brief moment, Raven wishes her Ex- was involved in this.

“Repeat carefully what you just told me” Raven is rubbing her temples in her blue form and gazes at the spies “I sure must have heard wrong”

“No, my Goddess, the humans found a human so beautiful, in their words” the spies added carefully “that they believe she is superior to you”

Raven is not happy by this revelation in the slightest. Her face is hardly one to be mistaken by anything but pure fury “what´s her name?”

“Katherine Anne Pryde” a male voice is shouting the name of the woman riding in the horse as his life depend on this scream. Both are in a race and Katherine is winning as the race effortless, it does provides some joy for the woman to know she's still a competent horse rider despite everything. “I won” Katherine with her short curly hair and doe eyes replied to the man, who is disappointed. To her relief the man leaves and goes the certainty that tomorrow more suitors will bang on her door.

“You save me from another one” Kitty said and give a sugar cube to the horse. She gently pets the horse named Lockheed, over the course of the end of Apocalypse´s rule, Kitty Pryde has to gain popularity in a way she never expected.

Kitty Pryde´s warrior name is Ariel and Queen Jean asked Kitty to help in the war, the exchange for such valuable help, Kitty has a nice home now and that should be enough, however, Kitty´s prowess on the battlefield make many Spartans and men look at her in approval. Once learning Kitty was never engaged to Piotr(and killing said man) her fame shines even against Mystique.

“You're the only male in my life who isn´t crazy! I don´t get, why they want to marry me? Why bestow me with this damn title of the beautiful woman ...if they only want to chains me to their will?” Kitty replied and Lockheed didn´t offer a word, only a nice touching on her head.

King  Logan watches Kitty enters back to the limits of the city with a longing smile, Kitty Pryde is a woman that really pay attention to any men, Logan is married to Jean, but, Kitty Pryde is proving to be a true warrior...Could he make Kitty as his mistress?

A queen must be a real warrior, yet, Jean Grey was not a warrior, per se, Logan married Jean out of whim and they fought against Apocalypse...eventually. Jean did call for help and right now, she wished she hasn´t. Logan is watching Kitty again and drooling at the sight of this woman, instead of the great Jean Grey, for a moment Jean thought in killing Kitty here and there and bath with her blood, yet, Jean saw this woman fight.

Blood and organs and bones being tossed and throw easily by Kitty´s hand as she was the one to kill Apocalypse while Jean just watches...Oh, she is done watching now. If she does not have the power, Jean will get the power to get rid of Ariel for good.

“Oh, Aphrodite, goddess of Beauty” Jean is praying on her temple, so long forgotten as the male audience are seeking Kitty, her husband is there lavish her with gifts that should belong with Jean, he is fucking her...Jean is sure. “Help me get rid of this parasite, she wants to ruin me, help me to take the life of Kitty Pryde”

“Ah, so, not everyone is in love with this little woman” Jean look up and saw Aphrodite in all her blue glory and feels blessed, Raven, for her part pretend to not notice Jean´s admiration gazes “I think we have a problem with Kitty Pryde and your husband is sure not minding the problem” a white lie can´t hurt anyone, well, not Raven. Jean is ready to collapse “ fret not, my loyal servant, I´ll take care of this, my son will give a faith worse than death to Kitty Pryde”

Kurt Darkholme is not having an easier day, first off, his mother orders him to kill a woman for, in her inane words, being pretty than her and Kurt Darkholme is a good son, however, using his skills to kill a mere human because his mother does not like competition really sour his day.

Second, said the woman is not on an easy target as she is always moving and training with her sword or gauntlet.

Third, Kurt really thinks this is a stupid plan.

As he walks, invisible, along with Kitty, the man wonder why kill her, if mother is that upset, why not marry her with someone else? Killing someone for that reason feels wrong. As his muse goes on, Kitty stops her walk to see the King, well, the King is really blocking her way so she can only see him.

“King Logan” Kitty replied dryly showing her claws and Logan take that as an invitation. Kurt Darkholme knows a little about this man to not like him being this close of Kitty.

“Kitty, you can call me Logan” the woman is not inclined to attend this wish “and I see you win against another suitor” she remains silent and Logan smiles “and what a man has to do to have a woman like you?”

“Oh, if you want the details, first you need to drop dead, then you have to assume to be dickless and never again breath near me, that's very attractive qualities you can have” Kitty respond and Logan is a firm believer that No means Yes.

Logan is ready to grab and is ready to make his intention know “I can´t help thinking about you, you bewitch me, Kitty” Logan speaks with laced with lust. Kurt Darkholme is not impressed and has no problem in killing the king.

Of course, Darkholme didn't count the fact he's invisible and Kitty saw a man being impaled and is not taking this easier. Kurt Darkholme is trying to calm her down, but, the man is not really good to comforting anyone.

“Hey” his voice in the godly tone, something akin impossible to decipher “you're safe now, he can´t hurt you...go run” Darkholme speaks and Kitty looks around confused.

“WTF?” and Kitty leaves, not without adding this “whatever god you´re ...this is the worst way to comfort someone”

Raven is not impressed that her son did fail on the task nor that he killed Logan, however, this can be used. She can blame Kitty for Logan´s death. A devious smile grows on her blue face.

“Son, your mistake really help your mother” Raven speaks fondly at her son who is sharpening his blades. “That woman will die by human´s hands...oh, this is much better”

Kurt stops sharpening his blades and is not paying attention to her mother blabbing about Kitty´s blood and how her temples will be full again. Kurt thought about that woman and as much killing is not a problem for him...that woman does not deserve to die.

Kurt Darkholme teleports and go to Destiny,who was waiting for him with a knowing smile, Kurt Darkholme is here to charge a favour.

Jean Grey is happy and anger at the same time, a confliction caused by Kitty Pryde, her husband was murder by her, that's the only truth Jean can see. Kitty goes spreading lies as if Logan would rape her...that bitch, in Jean´s mind, seduce him and killed without remorse.

“It wasn´t me, it was one of the gods...I think, he never really give a name but he was following me around” Kitty explained “ he tried to rape me and if the deity or whatever didn´t kill him...I would have”

“PROVE ENOUGH” Jean scream like a loud banshee “you must be killed NOW”  one of her advisers whisper in her ear and Jean is now confused, this exchange last for a few minutes until she speaks again “it seems the Gods didn't forget you” Jean gives a mockery smile “you´ll be sent to be devoured by a monster” her maniacal voice is back but the adviser whisper again “whatever, you won't return here ever again”

She looks and even her most annoying suitors did not dare to go against the queen. So, this wasn't her home after all.

“Ok, I´ll go right away” she thought in running away, even as the advisor explain she will relocate to another place, the oracle saw in her vision the will of the Gods and they want Kitty to move, well, the Gods are very petty.

Kurt Darkholme decides to be invisible for reason he is not quitting getting, maybe, seeing a blue, furry deity with scarlet eyes and thirsty for blood won't be good to the woman's mind.  Or maybe...he's really shy.

The only people he talks are his family or maybe his henchmen, the man did not venture in the romantic path, let alone social, since the incident.

“I´m just protecting her until mother finds another human to torment” Kurt Darkholme explain to himself for the fifth time.

As the woman ventures in the house fearless(or doing a great job in posing as one) Kurt goes to great her, well, that's the idea, unfortunately, as she can´t see him they stumble against each other.

“Oh, hello” Kitty speaks as the deity is still invisible “I was hoping to meet my warden, how are you?”

“I'm not your warden” Kurt defends himself feeling insulted clear he's not a warden, right?

“You killed the king and then let me get the blame” Kitty explained “and then Gods so happen to send me here for supposedly killing the king”

“Wait, they blame you? I killed him with my own sword”

“There´s a trial and everyone was pretty much against me...you could have dropped down and said hello, but, I think they would sentence me to death either way”

“Uhm” Kurt is holding his neck “I was in another trial in Olympus” and then adds “if it makes any difference a guy was sentenced to eat his own organs by Zeus”

Kitty, in her time as Ariel, did learn the virtue of patience, sometimes the prey won´t arive today and you need to wait, as much this mentality can´t be useful in this new world, the core of the message still is useful to Kitty. Wait.

However, the woman has to admit she has been pretty patient with all this new commotion, yet, she needs to know what´s going on. The woman goes to the study room and knocks before phasing anyway(Kitty mentally laugh at the door, what is a door against Ariel?) and is greeted with Kurt Darkholme drinking beer and refusing to speak.

“Rockstar, I know you don't want to talk, I understand and I respect your privacy, I do, but, they send a huge present to you...you´re their heroes and the present is all around the kitchen, can you tell me what´s going on?”

Kurt Darkholme puts the beer down and looks at Kitty, his scarlet eyes only hold resentment at the situation. “Let´s say it was a present from mother that I really hate”

This does not explain everything, but, is something.

“Ok, can you take this present? Look, they won´t stop sending this present to the kitchen until you acknowledge them” Kitty now puts her hands on her hips “we can´t eat anymore because our kitchen is now a mini garden, and no, we won´t move out”

Kurt rubs his temples and inhale loudly and finally lift from his chair looking broodier than ever. “Fine, I´ll go accept the present...Katzchen, this never happened”

“Sure, as long our kitchen is back, this never happened” she replied and watches Kurt Darkholme walking towards the kitchen, she follows him, the man wants to avoid this as much he can.

In the kitchen site, there´s Papa Smurf and behind him, there´s a garden, yes, Kitty wasn´t overreacting, the kitchen is a garden. Papa Smurf smiles proudly once Kurt is looking at him.

“Finally you come down, son” Papa Smurf replied joyfully and points at the big signal made by flowers and whatever cutesy thing smurfs uses and Kurt is gritting his teeth ”is a present to the hero who helps defeat Apocalypse and save our dimension, thank you, son”

“Stop calling me that, you aren´t my father, you´ll never be my father” Kurt Darkholme loses his pose and adds “Yes, I notice the signal, thank you, please, go away”

“You don´t want to explore the Smurf´s culture?” Papa Smurf asked and Kurt Darkholme gives a pretty sounding no. “your sister said the same thing, yet, we had high hopes for you”

“God does not exist” Darkholme states and the Papa Smurf along with the other smurfs are laughing. “truly Raven´s son” Papa Smurf answer. And with a snap of his finger, the mine garden is gone leaving the kitchen as it was.

“I want you to know, you´ll be always our hero, until our path cross again, Raven´s son” Papa Smurf then disappear. The kitchen is as it was, except, but one detail, one that Kitty points out.

The words: You´re our hero.

Are written in glitten, blue with flowers and Kurt Darkholme´s eyes is twitching and Ariel is really confused. She´s all up for people appreciating him more, but, there´s something more on this story.

Someone touches her hand and she saw the first female Smurf with a loud giggle hand, Kitty, a flower “My name is Smurfette if no one is going to say ,you´re my hero!” and vanish as Kitty is holding a blue rose.

“What the fuck?”

Kurt is still gazing at the words and decides he really needs to be drunk.

Rogue as the leader of the X-men can´t show favouritism to anyone, especially to her little brother, Kurt Darkholme, so when they receive a mission in the borders of Genosha to verify a wild animal that is scarying people, Kurt Darkholme is in the team.

The world is far different from the era when Apocalypse rule, in fact, the new generation has no idea what the battle was all about, Apocalypse to the new generation is just a meme and to the older generation is a reminder that even in the worst situation…the X-men are still there to save the day.

The wild animal is an experiment that Mr Sinister crafted during his time under Apocalypse and is a monstrosity. Nightcrawler has no problem in agreeing with Deadpool, just this once, as this monster is the hideous thing he ever saw.

Slay the monster was a daunting task. In the end, Deadpool and Nightcrawler finally put an end on the monster´s terror over Genosha.

“You’re bleeding,”  Ariel shouts incredulous as Kurt Darkholme is back at their home with a wound on his shoulder.

“Well, would you look at that; I am.” Kurt stated and Kitty Pryde groans tiredly not knowing if Kurt is being the “tough man” or if he´s that distracted to not see his own wound. “Sorry, Katzchen”

She has the first-aids ready and is already taking care of the wound, “You better be, Rockstar, next time I´ll go with you and make sure you come back in one piece” the tone is teasing and gentle.

“That will be fine, next time we´ll be together and you won´t be so lost as the last mission” Kurt banters back amused by her reaction. “Look, I wasn´t that lost, ok?”

“Whatever you said, Katzchen”

Bayville High School is a typical high school that you can find in any place in the US, except, principal Darkholme is a mutant and a terrorist(according to her enemies, of course) and she wants to get more control over her enemies, the X-men…that and give a bit of normal life for her kids.

She recalls that kids that know how to fight like Kurt or Rogue need a bit of normalcy, so, Rogue and Kurt Darkholme are enrolled as well to interact with the students under the false pretence is a mission.

Otherwise, those two wouldn´t let themselves to be in such a place. They are far too similar to Raven, sometimes.

Kurt Darkholme can speak many languages, yet, has no problem in making fun of strangers using German. No one can get what he´s saying.

Jean Grey can understand thanks to her powers, however, has no desire to know what Kurt Darkholme.

Kitty Pryde is watching as Kurt D is speaking one of his speech and merely sighs and speaks “He just asked if we´ll have homework” she speaks and gaze until his eyes smiling.

“Yep, Ichi spreche deine Sprache”  Kitty speaks and ever that day Kurt D and Kitty aka Ariel are often seen talking much to the X-men´s dismay and to Raven´s joy.

Apocalypse was defeated and with his demise, a new era has begun and humans and mutants are walking together, it´s almost a bad taste joke, the only way Professor X´s dream could be achieved is if the world ended.

Ariel aka Kitty Pryde is teaching at the mansion as a teacher and nothing more, long are her days in the battlefield(and she will not miss them, even if is deeply intricated to her core, where´s the limit between Ariel and Kitty?) and watches over the New Mutants and the survivors...of him.

Rogue is the leader of the X-men and is making the X-men move forward as they no longer are stuck in a past, no longer stuck in a war. Some members did quit, for example, Sunfire has a daughter now and is taking care of her and Nightcrawler is no longer activated.

"Miss Pryde, do you miss Nightcrawler?" a child asks as Kitty is looking at the empty room in front of her, a soft chuckle comes to serve as an answer as Kitty pet the girl´s hair. "I see Kurt every day, and I know he´s much happier with his new job, and in the end, that´s what matters"

The girl nods and then asked, "What is he doing now?"

Kitty thought for a moment and then respond. "Something he always wanted to do. Kurt Darkholme is a Shark babysitter" and the girl looks at Kitty as if she´s pranking her. Well, is better this way if she makes more question...she may be terrified of sharks and Kurts.

Meanwhile, on the local aquarium, a big commotion is being held as according to the RH and some older members, a new shark will be delivered to the aquarium and is a pregnant shark to make the situation even more amazing.

"Have you heard?" one of the ecobiologist in the area, a woman who is almost ready to get retired is talking with some of the volunteers, to be fair, the news is being given with more enthusiasm to one volunteer.

A blue man with scarlet eyes and rough faces, and now a moustache, and he´s the one who got most excited over the news. "Jahowl? Ein hai?" Kurt Darkholme speaks/asked in pure bliss and the old biologist let Kurt go to see the shark.

The shark´s name is Blue and Kurt can admire the irony here, as the white shark is called blue and no one calls Kurt Darkholme blue, well, people here have a desire to live that Wade does not possess.

"Thank god you here" one of the biologists speaks ignoring his catchphrase("there´s no god")to Kurt as she continues "Blue is pregnant and is very nervous and we´re hoping if you could calm her down..we can´t help if she´s that nervous...and you´re the shark whisper" concluded the professional.

Kurt is talking with the shark and by no one, surprises is taking Kurt´s words as if Kurt is an old friend. In the end, they manage to help the shark easily all thanks to Kurt and his secondary ability to befriend sharks.

Late at night, Kurt is back at home, Ariel is making a coffee and gives a kiss on his check and then lips. "Still with the moustache?" she asked amused.

"Katzchen, you like it" Kurt jokes and sits on his favourite couch and is talking about his day.

"Uhm, a pregnant white shark? Do you have the names already?" Kitty asked sitting next to him. Kurt shakes his head, and adds "the babies are due to born next week, she was really hurt...some fishermen tried to kill her and failed, dumbkoffs"

Kitty chuckles at that, and then she adds as Kurt is resting on her shoulder(on those moments, Kitty likes to caress his hair and feel his presence. In those moments, nothing else matters) in a kind and amused tone" one of my students asked about you"

Kurt has his eyes shut and reply "did you tell the truth? That I´m now a merman and live with sharks? Katzchen, we rule the ocean" and as much is silly and dumb this joke is more than enough to make Kitty laugh.

"No, I told them you run away to join the Eurovision and they asked me what is Eurovision...I told that´s the point and now they are searching on old books what is Eurovision" Kitty respond making Kurt Darkholme chuckles amused. "Oh the old sacred books, yeah, how long they stayed there?"

In the seven seas, there´s a sense of freedom that it can´t be described. No rules apply here, well, not all the rules. The War machine abides some rules and one of them is to never take anyone by force. The last man who ignores this rule…is now an empty seat. Scarlet eyes watch as the empty seat is empty far too long.

Logan and Wade are busy drinking and eating with a bit more decor than when they are together in bed. The blackjack stands tall and proudly warning at the ocean and the sky they are here.

Tonight is a celebration, like any other night, successful pillage that went right. No carnage or blood necessary. A small colony was happy to give the goodies if it meant getting rid of Captain Blood eyes (a nickname no one uses to refer to him) and Kurt likes those missions(he can be fair with small colonies as such, after all, if he takes too much …the people won´t be able to produce more in the next season and is bad for his business)

Although, if he had to be violent…he prefers to take his anger on the empire. Cowards that sit behind the desk all day does grit on his nerves. As music is getting loud, and by music, it should refer to the bad singing of Wade´s part, Kurt Darkholme decides to deliver the dessert to his prisoner.

Is almost time to sleep, so, of course, the woman awakens.

No one mentions the absence of the captain. They knew better.

The prison cellar is as clean as it can get. One prisoner is at sight.

“Ahoy,” his tone is often laced with his Bavarian accent and often with an amusement that few can see and tell the story. “I brought you the dessert” a piece of cake can be seen and the prisoner looks at Kurt now. She looks at the captain.

Her doe eyes appear innocence as her petite form as well, yet, Kurt can´t be fooled by her looks. The man knows and saw how dangerous she can be. The other fellow didn´t get such luck.

“thank you, captain, very kind of you…it would even kinder if you let me go” Kitty replied gazing at her surrounders for a moment and back at the captain. Her voice is really worth of the nickname Ariel and even if it wasn´t…she´s alluring enough to make a man drown.

“Would prefer to drown on the ocean?” Kurt asked and Kitty didn´t say anything as the man gives the dessert to her. Lemon pie, how fitting. His scarlet eyes do make Kitty ponder about many things and sometimes, on the verge of sleeping, she would like to touch his face.

“Is the pie good?” The captain asked and Kitty almost chuckle, something inherently funny in that phrase that can´t belong to this scene. “yes, captain, it is”

“I want to ask something, something I think I never bother before, you know, I was busy with my profession” Kurt states calmly “when we attacked your ship…why you murder that man?”

Kitty wonder why he didn´t ask that sooner.

“Was he your lover?” a mocking smile adorned his face now “was he that bad in bed”

“I could live with a man that was a disappointment in bed, that´s why whorehouse exists. I can´t live with a children killer, so, that´s your answer” Kitty replied and adds “Am I to rot here until I die?”

“Do you know Piotr own me money, lots and lots of money” Kurt answer her and Kitty only nods. Only a fool would take a loan from the devil “rest assured, I don´t plan to hurt you in petty vengeance. As for your question, you´re a very skilful woman. A deadly killer and far too smart for the likes of Piotr”

“Hey, we should have met 3 years ago, then all my problems could have been avoiding. I stay with him because…people begged me saying it was my only chance” Kitty has a bitter tone now “and no, we weren´t married, thank god, but I regret knowing that man and to not have killed him first”

She thought the man would stop smiling with this admission. No one likes when women are more than a pretty sight to gaze. Kurt Darkholme disagrees.

“How about you work for me?” The captain asks in a cool tone and Kitty merely raise her eyebrow “all your employees have this treatment?”

“Yes, Wade was my prisoner at first” Kurt shurgs as he didn´t care where his crew come from, as long they are loyal to him. “Are you sure this is a good idea? I´m the Ariel…you know me” there´s a smile playing on her lips and Kurt Darkholme prefers a woman like that.

“Of course, because” now he whispers in her ear, the bars are inexistent at this point and the time and space do not matter “I can save you from your nightmares. Here there are few rules and no one cares about anyone´s past. You can be Ariel, Kitty or Katzchen if prefer”

The woman let the words penetrate her mind, her soul and think about her past life. A life where people forced her to be with Piotr.

“Can you save me from drowning?” she asked and all the captain did was to embrace her, only now, the woman realizes she´s not on the prison cellar(clean and in good shape, still, it was a prison cellar) as the answer is clear now.
