Of course this was approved by your loving husband. While he helped take care of matters more political, you stepped in to handle more of the hands on matters. It worked out perfectly, you thought; you could help humanity and your husband by taking a stand. By no means were you a Captain yourself, but with your skill in taking charge, you might as well have been lately.

Organizing a stack of papers in your hands, you met the eyes of each of your squad members with a smile. With a quick reassuring nod to Eren, you began.

“Captain Hange has been given permission to start experimenting with Eren’s shifting abilities. We’ll be riding out tomorrow further into the countryside to keep out of the eyes of the public. “Those orders would come from me, Bozado.”

“I was on my way to do just that, when an annoying conversation happened to catch my ear.” Levi took a step forward and placed his hands onto the back of your chair. Shooting you a quick reassuring look, he turned his attention to his squad.

“I’m the one to put Y/N in charge while I’m gone. If you’ve got a problem with that, then you’ve got a problem with my judgment. Care to elaborate on your issues, Bozado?” Leci raised his chin slightly, a silent challenge for the younger man to keep running his mouth. Gulping hard, Oulo tightened his salute.

“N-no sir! It’s just…We’re accustomed to taking orders from our Captain, not the second in command.”

“Well you’d all better get used to it. Cause if you’ve got a problem with my wife, then you’ve got a personal problem with me.” Levi threatened coldly, taking a moment to look each member of his squad dead in the eyes as they turned their attention elsewhere in fear.

All color drained from Oulo’s face, and his arms dropped to his sides. “W-wife?” he nearly whispered, shaky eyes shooting glances between the two of you.

“Yes, wife.” Levi’s tone was dangerously low as he removed his grip from the back of your chair. Walking around you, he stopped by your side and spared you another look. His eyes softened immediately as he searched your face for any sign of discomfort. Finding none, as you never felt any in your husband’s presence, he spared you a fleeting smile with his back turned to his squad.

“You’re doing wonderfully, love. I trust you to lead them for a bit while I’m gone. I’ll return soon.”

Much to everyone’s immense shock, he sealed his whispeded promise with a soft kiss to your parted lips, taking a moment to savor the blissful contact before he pulled away and faced his squad once more. His expression was back to being cold and calculating as he considered his next words carefully.

“I’ll be on my way now; but if I find out any of you dare speak to Y/N like this again, you’ll be speaking with me. Understood?”

Everyone nodded their heads in immediate understanding, shifting their gazes rapidly between the two of you.

“Good. Now; follow Y/N as you would me. I’ll be back tomorrow.”

With that Levi spun on his heel and strode out of the room, leaving the levels of tension in the room much higher than when he first entered. Gulping nervously, Oulo silently took a seat and barely managed to shoot you a more apologetic look.

“You never told us you were married…Married to him of all.”

Purposefully fidgeting with your wedding band, you offered him a small smile. “I suppose it just never came up. Perhaps or perhaps not per his request. But either way, we are heading out tomorrow morning for experimental training. And you heard my husband; no bullshit, and this will all go over smoothly according to plan.”

Rain, In Your Black Eyes is a difficult music piece because it doesn't really allow breathers, it's a music that only grows in intensity and as such requires skaters with certain maturity and experience to pull it off. The parts where music does slow down are cut abruptly and if you're not a skater with really good musicality, and sense for interpretation you just get completely separate pieces that do not connect well into a narrative. Simply said, it's a program that's too easy to fall apart. Yuma is a skater who is able to carry the tension of the music and make it into a complete, well-rounded program.

I've been a fan of his since I got to see him skate in person at JGPF 2019 where he didn't even medal, but 2nd to Shun who literally won, he was the most memorable of the 6 junior men. However, through these few seasons that he's been competing in the senior ranks, I've liked his programs but never enough to let's say put them on a top 10 programs of the season list (including all disciplinnes). Until now. I'm utterly obsessed with both his programs this season.

He has always been a skater of a classical approach to his skating, just like Caro, and I think it really shows that he's been working with her, and how much it's helping to shape him as a complete skater.

Nothing to say about his technique except that it's textbook, and the program is composed in such manner that jumps and spins give it just right amount of momentum. I have the opening 4S rent-free replaying in my head ngl. I am amazed at his control of all his movement, everything has a purpose. There is no empty walk in the choreo, everything is detailed and planned to the movement of his fingers. His lines are sublime, don't even get me started on his extensions...

I'm not sure how this is supposed to be a "recovery season" when he's skating like this!

Summary: Rain, In Your Black Eyes is a difficult music requiring disciplinne and maturity, and Yuma is able to perfectly translate power of it into movemet without getting overwhelmed. He has improved so much, and I'm looking forward to seeing what more he's capable of.

For weeks now he’d watched as Gunther, as well as his cadets Eld and Oulo, approached you. What started as a casual conversation always led, at one point or another, to an over zealous compliment or a sickeningly flirtatious remark.

Levi had grown tired of watching from the shadows as others approached you as he could not.

He’s wanted for so long to be able to say to you what his subordinates did. To be so calm and smooth with you as they were.

It's 4 AM here and I can't fall asleep and I thought about Levi, as usual.. And I thought about how popular he must have been before (yknow, in the early seasons). How did he deal with women (and sometimes even men) flirting with him? How does such an awkward man gets out of those situations??

Also he could easily ignore those advances when outside but when those come from noblewomen at official gatherings and he has to play nice??

i don't think Levi would even realize when someone's flirting with him💀his understanding of social cues is bad and his awareness of them is even worse. excessive giggling, blushing or nervousness around him would make him uncomfortable. i'm imagining these images:

ironically his awkwardness would put most people off. i think most ppl who flirt with him would've only heard of his greatness and reputation, but then they see him off a horse (short) and up close (very grumpy) and especiallyyyy noblewomen would lose interest then.

but what if the flirting was insanely obvious?? what if someone complimented him?? he would probably just grunt and shrug, unsure how to respond other than that. levi does not care what people think of him lmao💀it's not his loss if someone gets offended.

obvious flirting annoys him, and he finds any excuse to get out of that situation. or he just walks away tbh. man especially if someone finds an excuse to brush up against him or touch his shoulder, he's going to get rude and brush off the invisible dirt when he walks away.

(which honestly same. with Levi's complete lack of experience with physical contact ever... and his lifelong lonlieness... it would feel icky for him to be touched by most people. he's real)

at galas and balls and such, i think the extent Levi can be "flirtatious" is agreeing with whatever the person is saying and sipping champaigne. he's so stoic and disinterested-looking by default it'd be impossible to tell whether he's actually listening lmao.

if a noblewoman or man is flirting, he'll muster a 'thanks', and probably glance around for Erwin, Hange, or someone else he can have an excuse to go find. Petra is his fail-safe in case of dancing.

so all that said, i think that last thing is impossible. Levi simply wouldn't seem close to anyone at one of those things. reader/whoever also ought to know he's way too awkward even to pretend to be lmao.
