Unfortunately, the boi went himbo mode for a second and decided to throw a bat at Monty-boi (that missed) instead of the gun I immediately picked up from under the table, but that’s okay…we just need to retaliate and tend to our lovely little niece. ❤️

Apparently, The Stupendium’s songs are great for my neurodivergent brain. I have been hyper-fixated on The Apex (Hitman 3 song) for about a week now, and Vending Machine of Love (the Only Cans theme song) somehow makes me happy stim like crazy.

Edit: I forgot to mention that their suit from What a Fowl Day (Untitled Goose Game song) gives me serious gender envy. How dare they look so snazzy in that costume? It's really not fair.

I may not have anything for real Zilch directly, but I do have songs involving both Zilches! In the few seconds they'd see each other off-screen, I have scraped out so much from their short-lived dynamic.

I was first introduced to Predator & Prey by Griffin Puatu and Jonah Scott by one of my buds who said it'd fit Hitman Zilch, and I realized there's even more to it! Real Zilch comes to terms with his death to the hitman, trying to reason with his untimely demise as just the natural order of things. He was caught unaware by the apex predator and the circle of life continues on without him, maybe even getting a sunlit glimpse of the animal that the hitman truly is.

Brutus by The Buttress is definitely the most unique instrumentally of the bunch, as heavy as a song literally titled 'heavy' can be. This reads as a take on Hitman Zilch and Yomi's dynamic actually, where the hitman is in constant agonizing conflict with his devotion to Yomi, reassuring he loves his director but at the same time wishing he could share in the same power he wields and hating that he'll never be loved as much as he loves Yomi. And so, the hitman takes out all this inner turmoil on the unfortunate target of the real Zilch, hoping that the Amaterasu Express Massacre will earn him the love he obsessively desires from his director.

The Actor by Everything Everything has formed yet another of my strange speculations on the Zilches dynamic. This falls into the same idea of 'real Zilch accepting his fate' that I mentioned before, but this goes deeper into that concept. The real Zilch wants the hitman to carry on with his shared identity, perhaps hoping that he could live vicariously through him in whatever afterlife awaits him. The real Zilch remains optimistic no matter the absolute horror of the situation and what the hitman will carry out using his identity. A blind trust when he has nothing left. Choosing life over death despite it all.

i’ve given in and made a TADC character... only it’s not really original and instead based on another interest of mine, hitman: world of assassination.

everyone, meet toby! (more commonly known as agent 47, or the apex predator.)

Toby knows not how he got inside the circus, nor how to escape, just like anyone else. However, what makes him actually confusing is that he carries around hundreds of weapons-turned-toys, despite his cute looks, and always finds himself threatening someone. Where does he even store those things?

He has a gun, but it fires confetti. He has explosives, but they turn to glitter. He has syringes with poison, but they turn to water or even antibiotics for digital ‘diseases’. He has a lockpick, but it turns to a gummy worm when it tries to be used. He is not having a good time.

His fuzz and eye color and shape change based on his emotions. Yellow is the default, black is for any negative emotion, white is for dizziness. He also puts on a monocle and hat if he feels quite fancy. Red is for anger, and if he ever sprouts horns and wings while red, run for your life.

He has a tense relationship with Jax, having been coldly welcomed to the circus by his sadistic self. He does not engage with Gangle and Pomni, as he considers them cowards. He occasionally talks to Ragatha and Zooble, as they seem the sane ones around here; he talks with Ragatha about their world, and with Zooble, to criticise the others.

He is friends with Kinger. He finds his presence calming, or rather comforting.

He doesn’t know what to make of Caine.

Toby wants to escape, as does anyone else. But does he have what it takes to return to his life in the outside world? Does he even want to? Maybe life is safer inside the circus.

Toby doesn’t know it, but he’s risked it all out there. The circus is as good as it gets for him.

So stay inside, Toby.

TRIVIA

his personality is only loosely based on his old self, agent 47; once he enters the circus, he begins to act more and more uncharacteristically, or at least simply let out his emotions more.

his appearance is based on the rubber duck explosives in-game.

his name is based on his alias of Tobias Rieper. he subconciously remembers this and chooses the name Toby.

however, he doesn’t choose his name right away. it actually takes a lot of insistance from Caine and a lot of time for him to choose a name.

his relationships with the others change over time. if it’s for better or for worse, that’s another thing.

if his relationships were to improve, he would become somewhat of a father figure around the circus, especially for the scared shitless Pomni and the sarcastic Jax.

if they were to worsen, he would seclude himself so much it would drive him insane and lead him to abstraction.

if thrown, he squeaks like a rubber duck. Jax has made this discovery and is incredibly pleased by it. Toby isn’t.

he is soft to touch because of his fuzz, but his skin is rubber.

he doesn’t know how to take care of his fuzz because he was bald. seeing he can’t seem to take care of his so-called hair, he begins to suspect he is bald in the outside world.

extreme anger can not only lead to a terrifying appearance, but also make him explode, and just like his bombs, he explodes into confetti. however, he immediately regenerates.

he is often teased because of his age by Jax, but he is the most athletic and agile out of anyone in the circus and makes sure everyone knows it.

he would help someone even if he didn’t like them. maybe except for Jax... but he would help even him, would the situation call for it.

Kross

Kross has a complicated family... his father was once the most feared hitman In all realities. After years of killing people for a good pay Kross father retired and wanted his son to follow the same career as him.

Kross never liked this idea he always thought that killing was wrong and he always was a pacifist, so instead of killing people he decided to do the opposite, save people.

Kross still pretty young but he plans on working for the Reality medical organization one day.

if you're curious about how he met Mot and the others, Prid had gotten hurt on one of many adventures and needed help immediately and Kross helped her, Prid saw potential in him and decided to bring him along with them.

What's your favourite game in terms of character customization?

Ooo boy. I really can't pin it down to one specific game, because all games use their character customization systems very differently. That said, I'll give a couple of my favourites, besides just Splatoon.

One of the games I've had the most fun putting together outfits in is easily Final Fantasy XIV. In terms of high fantasy fashion, it is simply unmatched in both quality and variety, and its glamour system (which lets you swap the appearance of one piece of gear for another's) is so flexible and accessible that making cool looks for your character is a breeze, and considering just how much the game works to get you invested in your Warrior of Light and their story, it works wonders.

Hell, even in terms of modern fashion it has plenty of offer. Wanna dress as a barista? You can do that too.

Aside from FFXIV, another modern game I think has an incredible customization system (though not one I am actively playing anymore) is Warframe.

Rather than giving you a single character to use as a dress-up doll, Warframe is all about collecting the titular biomechanical androids which can be recolored, accessorized, or have their whole appearance changed with skins

Different areas of your Warframe's body are split into colorization zones, each of which can be repainted to your heart's desire. Combine this with Warframe's very particular aesthetic and it results in the opportunity for some incredibly distinct character designs.

Warframe's aesthetic isn't for everyone (it's certainly very fleshy) and being a free game it hides almost all of its customization behind a paid currency (that you can trade with other players, in fairness) but it has such a cool and unique vibe that I have to mention it.

I've gone on for long enough as is, but three is a better number than two, so I'll talk about one more game featuring who I believe to be video gaming's most fashionable protagonist: Hitman III

Agent 47's signature attire is the epitome of simple but stylish, and he wears it incredibly well, and the developers clearly had a lot of fun dressing up this particular dashing bald man too, because Hitman III has over 50 different suits you can unlock as your default outfit in missions, on top of all the disguises you can wear to try and get closer to your mark.

Naturally, the apex predator of the world of assassins makes all of these outfits work (especially the goofy ones) but my personal pick for the best of the bunch is probably the Scarlet Suit because like, I gotta be honest with you:

This is sexy as fuck. I love this suit so much that I literally commissioned a friend to draw my fursona wearing it. This is the peak, right here.

Haha. Looking through all the Kaleb Cross art while really sleepy and I'm like yeah let's use my limited brain power to write something extremely horny. No regrets tbh👍

What with being a PWP and very trying to be gender neutral, I couldn't insert much in here, but I have thought long and hard, a lot of times, about how Revrev was like before he was uploaded into a bot.

Idk but there's two lines that give us a glimpse into how he was before "he used to need a reason to kill, but now he's not that man anymore" regarding Revenant and "Kaleb Cross has no morals" so they are kinda contradictory but I'm trying to wrap my head around it

IMO I think as a human "he needs a reason" is just... "Hammond said the guy should pay" is a reason enough (and as Rev he just kills indiscriminately if/when he can). I also feel like he's sadistic with adults but the kids of his targets he offs quick and painless, sparing them the anguish of having their life flipped upside down, also it just reduces revenge-plots on him down the line (Loba lmao) considering he was rather old for a hitman (44?!?!?! old man) I do really believe he excelled in his job in all manner of aspects. I imagine he'd do stuff like social engineering (ding dong hello it's ur cable guy) and thus would be a rather well-rounded individual capable of a range of human emotion.

That's a long-winded way to say I do imagine Kaleb Cross kept some manner of relationships with others, probably a lover, or a bunch of them even. I don't think he'd commit to one and if it were only just one it wouldn't be sunshine and roses. Sex would be amazeballs, but he'd be toxic in all the other ways. I hc in this he doesn't remove his clothes during sex, especially when he's in his handsome hitman gear (the suit) kinda like his equivalent of a leather dom gear lmao but it's mostly a demonstration and immersion of himself in his element of power. That's how I imagined him here in this fic, he just completed a kill and he's sooo on top of the world and he's full of horny. Suit's on, dick's out.

In the Revtane fic I imply he did have a relationship too, and when I was writing this I imagine the "reader" and the relationship he had bittersweet memories of are the same. I always imagine if he were to have a relationship that the person would definitely know he's a hitman, would also be a part of the syndicate in a way or another (therefore somehow Outlands upperclass with a significant backing/power) and be familiar with the kind of sociopathy it takes to be on top. So, def it's a toxic relationship on both sides, but it somehow works. There's love there I GUESS but it's not a normal, domestic bliss kinda love... also yes I do really think he's gay af (even if a femme person dressed him he wouldn't look like that I s2g) but for delulu purposes I made it gender neutral

Anyway yes all that for a 1.7k word fic haha. I have so many ideas for the revtane fic I'm writing but I'm letting that one stew even more.

The Errors In Our Programming (Revenant X Reader)

hiya, what's this one about? i know idk the fandom but the title intrigues me 🤔

Hi!!

The fandom is Apex Legends (battle royale style game). Revenant was a hitman whose consciousness got transferred to a robot (takes place in like 2700s). He was used for a long time to continue committing murders as a hitman (he thought he was still human) until an error caused him to realize he was in fact a robot. That's all the canon stuff. There's more but it's not super important for the purpose of this explanation.

My story is about a girl who is living on one of the maps as a stowaway (King's Canyon in case someone who knows about it reads this lol). Revenant finds her and puts her up in a cave on a cliff where he can keep her until he can figure out what to do with her.

He ends up slowly falling for her. Canonically the guy is kind of a dick so him softening up to her is like sweet. He goes against some of his programming to protect her and the game makers manipulate him and all that good stuff. There are some twists that I can't reveal because it will ruin it if I ever get around to writing this lol. But "Errors in our Programming" has multiple meanings throughout the story!
