Been wanting to draw Dante's kids lmao so here they are <3

idr if they have canon ages..? but in my mind [Mayumi] is 9-10 and Dmitri is 13-14. Nicole and Dante had a fling during the start of the time skip, but after a year or two her father fell very ill and she needed to return to Scaleswind and step up as Lord. Little did she know that she was already pregnant when she left for home, however she got too caught up between first-time motherhood and first-time lordship to return to Phoenix Drop and see Dante again.

After she left, Dante was kind of a wreck; to him, Nicole was just one more person who'd abandoned him, even if he knew logically she had a duty to uphold and no say in the matter. Nana had been right by his side this entire time, but after this event she and Dante became very close, ultimately falling in love and getting married. Mayumi cam into the picture withing a year or two of them being married, and the rest is history.

I haven't thought much beyond that lmao but I think these two are the silliest billies for real <3

Born when Dante and Nicole were still in high school, Dmitri was raised primarily by his dad and grandmother for early years of his life. After his dad got full custody of him, Dante and Dmitri, alongside Dante’s girlfriend, Nana, would move into a house together. He has a younger half-sister in Miiko, and sees Nana as his mom given his biological mother’s low contact with him.

I like to thing that after the MCD revial that Dimitri is Dante's kid, Nicole, Dante, and Nana become the best coparents ad biggest gossips Ru'aun has ever seen.

Dimitri switching custody? NAH! Dimitri going between houses to trade the tea? Right on the money. Nekoette joins him to because she is a lot stealthier and Nicole has her sneak around to gain information on her guards and advisors. It's the healthiest co-parenting relationship in all of Ru'aun.

Do you think Dimitri (in Mcd) would grow up with some mental issues after realising his parents are separated/not in love and are not like his friends parents?

Speaking as a child of divorce (my parents split when I was really little so I’ve never really known them together) he probably would but I don’t think they’d be PTSD level.

In my personal experience, I grew up with just a mom. My dad was never there and when he was I was ignored and treated like shit. He never cared or made an effort, Ive always known that.

Dmitri however, has a good father who loves him and wants to be a part of his life. Though Dante was absent for the first 6 years, it wasn’t his fault and I believe Dmitri will grow up understanding that and not blaming him. If he were to blame anyone I think it’d be Nicole.

Nicole knew, and did nothing to bring them together for 6 years. She actively avoided it. Though Dmitri loves his mother so much, I think he’ll always kind of resent her for that. Not to mention the fact that she’s lowkey physically abusive…
