I want to hear your thoughts on Aarmau. It's low-key become a fixation for me because everyone has their own wildly different takes and yet they're all the same take somehow and I for one would love to hear what you have to say on the matter

Okay I'm sorry for my inconsistent posts recently, life's been crazy and whatnot. But I def wanted to respond to this.

AARMAU CAN SUCK MY BALLS

I think my hatred mostly comes from how much I love laurance 🤤 and just how Aaron's character was written in MCD. It's so obvious that Aaron stole all of Laurance's planned plotpoints. Having the endgame with Aph, sacrificing himself for Garroth and returning as Shad's host. That whole plot would've gone so much better if Jason hadn't butted in because he was jealous of blocks.

I think Aaron's character CAN be written well. Therefore, Aarmau can be written well. I love Aarmau in Mystreet. Mind you I haven't watched it in years. I think Phoenix Drop High is so weird. The age gap is so so uncomfy, but I like how Aaron's personality is written, probably the best out of all the series. I like dorky anti-social Aaron who's still this protective and strong guy. It goes well with Aphmau's personality throughout all of the series.

It's just so hard for me to get on the Aarmau train, because of the way Aaron was brought into the series, and all the havoc it has wreaked onto my favorite characters and plots. However, I don't think Aarmau should be erased. I think it should've been written differently. I love both of the characters, and they have so much potential to be great. I just think they need to be taken care of by better writers.

People who say Jess' writing was peak during MCD are just nostalgic, they're the gen wunners of the fandom ifykyk.

BECAUSE it clearly peaked when she was writing the angst fest that is fcu for mys!aphmau, it genuinely is heart wrenching to me to watch the hussy note episode, and when she wrote mid!Ava, sure Ava's just another self insert but I like the detail that instead of making this character that's explicitly supposed to be human, not be called Aphmau. It's a brilliant way of separating that universe from mcd/mys's universe.

Analyzing Ein.

I despise Ein wholeheartedly simply because of the mayhem he's caused the characters in MyStreet. But regardless I think Ein has more character depth than Aaron.

It sucks to admit because I love Aaron(Jason as a voice actor simply. You gotta love his voice.) But damnn Aaron's character has like zero depth. His whole personality is just 'Oh no my eyes' 'I have daddy issues' and 'I'm obsessed over aphmau'

EIN ON THE OTHER HAND >>>

Now let's analyze Ein starting from PDH s2 :)

Before he moved to PDH, he was from a Western wolf tribe. There, he was an Omega and we can assume he was bullied and didn't have it easy there. That's why when Aphmau, literally the FEMALE ALPHA, started being nice to him, he started to develop a small little crush.

I personally think, and still think he wasn't using Aph to his advantage to become Alpha Male. He was probably just overwhelmed by the affection he felt from Aph given his past. However I can't help but feel like the whole thing was just the tiniest bit rushed.

But then after he became alpha male he probably felt a sense of power that he'd never felt before, driving him to go all 'yeah you all suck bow to me peasants'

Throughout MyStreet s4, Ein had gotten a lot more evil. We don't know what happened to him during the times when he was off-screen during MyStreet s1-s3 but like- dude. Chill. Youre trying to kill everyone simply because Aaron beat you up, you didn't get to be with Aph, and you got kicked out of Pdh, losing your title of alpha in the process.

By the end of s6, Ein was no longer as relevant other than to anger Aaron and create drama and plot.

I also really wanted to point out that Ein likes blue. It's not relevant but-

There is an unbelievable amount of hypocrites when it comes to fans of Mystreet, and it’s so frustrating.

They continue to beat the already dead, and probably mutilated at this point, dead horse that is PDH/Mystreet!Aaron and refuse to let anyone forget it.

But the moment you point out how PDH/Mystreet!Gene was just as bad, if not worse, they either bring up Aaron and what he did or openly admit that they choose to ignore what he did.

Like dude, wtf? So you go all in on one character’s terrible actions but openly admit you turn a blind eye to another character who did the exact same thing?

And it’s not just Gene, it’s other characters too!

“Garroth and Laurence constantly disrespected Aphmau’s boundaries and forced kisses on her, then immediately told her to not say anything.”

“Gene literally had Sasha and Zenix try and take pictures of her for him, while being a grown ass man out of high school and her still a minor. What the hell do you think he was doing with those pictures?”

And these people may as well be saying “Well, Aaron was tryna get with her when she was a freshman and he was a senior, so whatever facts you provided is now invalid.”

Dude, we all know that! No one will let us forget it! But you can’t just keep bringing that up whenever someone points out your favorite characters did equally or more horrible things!

Hell, there’s been times where I’ve brought up the actions of characters from Diaries characters or variants and gotten that same argument used on me despite it being different series.

At this point, every time someone wants to bring it up, I want to reach through the screen and smack them. Shut the hell up, quit excusing their shitty actions and behavior and bringing up what Mystreet Aaron did to dismiss what your favorite characters did.
