"Did Luo Binghe love Shen Yuan or Shen Qingqiu, the persona he crafted to present to the world? Shen Yuan is essentially stuck pretending to be a person he's not for possibly the rest of his life, never being able to fully be who he really is again."
SHEN YUAN DID NOT GO AROUND THE OOC LOCK MULTIPLE TIMES, CONFUSE THE OTHER CHARACTERS WITH "HIS" SUDDEN AND OBVIOUS CHANGE, TURN THE WHOLE QING JING PEAK INTO A HEALTHIER PLACE FOR THE KIDS, FIGHT THE SYSTEM AND THE SITUATIONSHIPS OF THE STORY TOOTH AND NAIL, SHOW BINGHE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND KINDNESS, SAVE LIU QINGGE'S LIFE AND BEFRIEND HIM, COME UP WITH A MASTER PLAN TO COME BACK TO LIFE IN CASE HE DIED, SACRIFICE HIS LIFE FOR BINGHE, DO WHATEVER IT TOOK TO HELP AND SAVE BINGHE, CHANGE THE WHOLE STORY FOR THE BETTER, AND GENERALLY EARN LOVE RESPECT AND ADMIRATION NOT ONLY FROM BINGHE BUT SEVERAL OTHER IMPORTANT CHARACTERS, JUST FOR YOU TO DOUBT BINGHE'S LOVE FOR HIM AS A PERSON, SAY THAT HE CAN'T BE HIMSELF, SAY HE CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT FEARING RETRIBUTION FROM THE SYSTEM, AND REDUCE HIS AGENCY TO THAT OF A NPC IN HIS OWN STORY.

It's weird, Eddie thinks. When Eddie and Steve holds hands, they intertwine it together. However, almost always, Steve ends up untangling it, his hand creeping up and holding him on his wrist instead. It makes Eddie feel like a child, with a mother holding on to him.
He thinks it might be his rings, thinks it might be annoying Steve. But then, he remembers Steve telling him how much he loves them.
He thinks it might be because he sweats when they hold hands for too long. But then, he remembers Steve trying to hug him after work and telling him he couldn't care less if Eddie's sweating or smells like oil.
He thinks it might be— no. He doesn't— Steve might be ashamed of him? And doesn't want to be seen with him, their hands slot together so perfectly the whole world may crumble? No. That's definitely not right. Steve is open to the people who matter, tells Dustin of their last endeavor, tells Robin about how good Eddie is to him, tells Hop that Eddie is good and kind and everything to him. He kisses him in the Wheeler basement, slots his head on his shoulders in between the empty aisles of Family Video, takes Eddie in his arms in the trailer in front of Wayne. That can't be it.
Eddie finds out in the middle of a campaign. Steve, Robin, Max and El hanging out on the sides while the boys busy themselves with defense and strategy. He didn't mean to look Steve’s way, but like a boat, his eyes will always find his lighthouse, bright and guiding in the dark.
Steve is holding Max's wrist, just like he always does with him. At first, it's weird because Max doesn't really like prolonged physical touch. They stay like that for half of the game, whenever Eddie looks back, Steve's hand is still wrapped around Max's wrist.
When Eddie calls for a break, and Steve rushes upstairs to help the boys get a snack, Eddie sits beside Max.
"Hey, Red." Max gives him a nod of acknowledgment as she reads the latest comics.
"Can I ask you a question?" Max hums in agreement, eyes still glued on the page.
"Why was Steve holding your wrist like that?" Max freezes, eyes looking up to meet Eddie's. Eddie is aware of how it sounds like, so he word vomits, "I— I am just curious. He does the same for me and I've never understood why."
Max squints at him behind her thick glasses, "It helps him calm."
Eddie tilts his head in confusion, "Calm?"
Max takes his hands, wrapping a hand around his wrist, just directly above where his pulse is, "When he found us after the Upside Down, we were barely alive. Now, he feels our pulse and it's a reminder that we're alive, we're okay. It calms him down, helps him stay in the moment."
It hits him like a bucket of cold water. How Steve makes it his mission to burrow his head on Eddie's chest, directly above his beating heart, his hand always wrapped just above his pulse, Steve staring at his eyes first thing in the morning like he's looking for something in it.
It's a reminder that Eddie's alive, that Max's alive, that they're all alive and that they get to live and breathe in peace without the impending doom looming over the edge.
Eddie never brings it up. He lets Steve hold his pulse, splay a hand on his chest to feel his heart, lets Steve fall asleep to the sound of Eddie breathing.
Eddie's never gonna bring it up. Steve can do it for the rest of their life for all he cares.
It's the least he can do.

This isn't targeted at anyone in specific, in fact most of the fanartists in the fandom do not have this issue, which I love and am so relieved to see, but please, for the love of god, draw Sammy plus/mid size.
Sammy is some of the only plus/mid sized rep I've seen in tv that puts ZERO emphasis on the "comedic relief" of her being bigger than the other characters, she's a badass woman who knows how to fight and lived through two dinosaur infested islands without her weight playing any negative parts in it, and that is so relievng to see as a plus size person.
Fat people aren't hard to draw, look up references, look up tutorials, there are plenty, hell she's not even that big to the point where it is drastically different than drawing a skinny person (because yes, while I wouldn't say drawing plus sized characters is hard, it is definitely different) but it is so easy to not draw her with a waist smaller than her neck.

I find it baffling that Ms. Mayberry would sleep with the same woman who partially ruined her life, ultimately leading her to her current situation. Additionally, where are Martha's husbands and children?Did Ms. Mayberry and her husband get finally divorced during their time in Hell? The second Sapphire ship in over 3 years was merely filler. It seems unlikely that they'll be making a comeback, so what was the point in including them? While there are several official male relationships, there is only one official relationship between females, Charlie and Vaggie, and the background characters.
At least we got to see Verosika in the most recent episode, which was the only reason I watched it. I apologize for the rant, I simply wanted to express my frustration.
I'm thrilled that Verosika made a return. She throwing an annual party to help others heal from heartbreak. Her gentle, comforting demeanor with newly single demons is both charming and endearing. Even though she may be a little psychotic, it's impossible to hate her for it. I would love to delve into her background history and learn more about her rise to stardom, as well as her journey to becoming a famous actress. I hope she receives the same kind of attention and character development afforded to Fizzarolli, as she has so much potential that I can't wait to see explored. Her outfit and hairstyle changes are a visual treat, and her voice is much softer this time, which is a pleasing change. She has immediately become my new favorite character, my second favorite is still Millie and third favorite is striker.

As someone who started the Fallout franchise with 4 and is only casually familiar with the older entries, playing The Outer Worlds really opened my eyes to the level of satire i was missing out in by only playing the bethesda entries.
Like yeah, both of them do the “woah, cool retro future!” thing, but TOW uses that early 1900s retrofuture setting to sell this wildly satirical parody of an anarchocapitalist society. A setting which -despite being so balls to the wall- works because everyone in the world takes it 1000% seriously: “What do you mean ‘why do we pay rent on our own graves?’ It’s only fair to the company!” “Sorry I know i’m dying but i can’t accept medical assistance from you if you’re from a competing company”.

so was that legitimately fake outrage at Watcher being "greedy capitalists" that people are now gonna go watch the try guys who are doing the exact same thing?? where's the outrage at their wealth and how they spend their money? why does Keith get people just watching him eat at expensive restaurants, but it's terrible seeing Steven go to expensive restaurants to eat food? it's got nothing to do with "the try guys did it better!!!" it's the fact that you got so outraged because of how much the economy is in shambles and people can barely afford food, let alone another streaming service, and now suddenly it's a great thing seeing the try guys be able to improve their situation with one!! I thought the whole point was that we didn't need another one!! what is it???
it's just obvious that they've both done similar things, but people are taking more issue with the creators of colour for daring to grow and move forward. EVEN AFTER THEY ALTERED THINGS AND GENUINELY APOLOGISED even whilst being fucking eviscerated online. and instead of being helped and understood by their white friends, they get fucking shaded by their friends with a sofa joke and "not to name names" bullshit
what is it with people of colour being left in the dirt by their white friends and/or costars???

I’m going to be completely honest, it’s so frustrating to be a person of color in this community. I always see white shippers mainly interacting with white/light skin shippers then see a black or brown shipper being interacted in every blue moon or the bare minimum. it really says a lot on them as a person especially them being the same people who rb poc racial struggles/psas but just never take action. And even when someone gets vocal about their racial insecurities, some people would still miss the point and take offense. I know discrimination can’t be erased but this is the only community I’ve been that’s so casually racist and it’s just so tiring to see it get repeated. I’m genuinely so tired of white people talking over poc’s voices and make it about them. I’m tired of poc shippers and characters not treated like people whether they’re treated like animals or some sort of trophy for being respectful. Bipoc especially dark skin self shippers deserve so much better and I seriously wish for the better in the future or at least people doing better at actually listening and learning.
white people, I do not want to see “as a white person x , I’m white but x, we as white people x” or anything similar, do not make this about you.
Do not tag this as discourse.

Half questioning my memory of the post s4 era, half side eying a certain character, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there was ever a time when the Buddie fandom fully took the single “Evan” from the season 4 finale as Eddie receiving “Evan” privileges from then on. From my recollection, fics stayed mostly consistent with their uses of “Evan” by Eddie, perhaps just with an emphasis on important moments (love confessions, Christopher’s adoption papers, wedding vows, NDEs, etc.) after the finale. And I had to stop myself from wondering why that is because I know why. We all know. Because nobody wanted to use “Evan” in fics when Buck had just told his parents that people who know him call him Buck. So Buddie fandom heard that, accepted it, and uses it only sparingly. In canon and fanon, even Maddie only rarely uses “Evan” anymore, and it feels even less common for her to use post-Buck Begins (if at all, actually). So the fact that Tommy and BT fans tend to use “Evan” (at least, this has been my experience) is so utterly jarring. Buck told everyone his preference, and I believe LFJ has spoken about being told to use only “Evan” when referring to Buck, so I simply do not understand anyone who believes that BT is in love already or endgame. Yes, it could go the “Buck gave Tommy ‘Evan’ privileges off-screen” route, but then why push it off-screen? It would be a major allowance made for a new love interest, and a significant step in Buck’s character arc. Yet we see nothing of the sort. So why would anyone believe that’s what happened? The last we heard, Buck had told his parents and everyone else to call him Buck exclusively, with the minimal exception of Maddie (who was, for most of his childhood, his one and only lifeline and confidant). That sort of history and characterization is not ignored if there is not something very wrong with the writers’ room. It was not even ignored by a significant portion of the fandom post-season 4, although Eddie gaining permanent “Evan” privileges would’ve been a strong indicator of a Buddie endgame (had an on-screen explanation of Eddie gaining this privilege been released). It was not ignored, and it did not change the nature of Buck in fic nor fanon. So why in hell is the same not holding true for a brand new relationship like BT?
