Shibusan was also selling Boueibu merch in August, including Ikaho collab merch until the end of September. Details here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
September 17th was Nanao's birthday. If you wanted this cake + cupcake set + macaron set in time for the day, then it should have been preordered until September 10th. This came with a bonus badge with the same design. The cake (which comes in 2 sizes - size 4: diameter: 12 cm, height: 5 cm and size 5: diameter: 15 cm, height: 7 cm) is in chocolate/chocolate cream and sponge/whipped cream varieties, with strawberries or yellow peaches inside for both (customer's choice), and the design is printed on to a sheet. The ink has a chance of running if you aren't careful. There are also Atsushi (preorder deadline: September 28th), Taishi (preorder deadline: September 29th), Kyotaro (preorder deadline: November 21st), Io (preorder deadline: December 10th) and Yumoto (preorder deadline: January 19th) versions. The cupcakes have a diameter of 8.4 cm, a height of 6.5 cm and come in a set of 4 - the cream on the cupcakes has matcha (green), chestnut (yellow), strawberry (pink) and chocolate (brown) and you can choose between black tea and orange peel/chocolate chip flavours for the cupcakes themselves. The macarons have a diameter of 4.3 cm, a height of 2.3 cm and come in a set of 6 - they come in strawberry (red), pistachio (green), orange (yellow) and chocolate (brown) flavours.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are also Christmas cakes + macarons (preorder deadline: December 17th if you want it by December 24th) and Valentine's Day cakes + macarons (deadline: presumably February 7th) which come with badges (2 possible designs, 1 can badge that matches the design of the cake you chose). The Christmas cakes only have strawberries, as opposed to the strawberries and yellow peaches of the Valentine's and birthday cakes. The cakes only come in size 5. The badges are 54 mm in diameter. There was also a 5% discount applied to preordered Christmas cakes between November 6th and November 12th 2023.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Shibukawa collab finished in September 2023. The crepes and drinks sold well. The collab page doesn't exist anymore, but there is a message from Shibukawa City: "To all the fans, thank you very much for coming to Ikaho time and time again. Look forward to the day we can hold another collab✰."

I came across this cool success story on reddit by u/celestial-form. It is worth a read.❤️
A long success story
Here is the summary of my wonderful experience of consciously visualizing myself into a drama that later materialized.
I was 11 years old, living in Tehran, Iran, my birthplace. I was a very strange child with an abstract, sort of a metaphysical mind. I was very perceptive and questioned every area of life. One day I was observing my life and suddenly came to the conclusion that I don’t like my life. I didn’t like the country I lived in, I didn’t relate to the culture and I knew I couldn't thrive there. As I was a very imaginative child I told myself, what if I can escape this reality in my imagination?
The same night I lay down and before sleep, I decided to experience what it would be like If I lived in a different country and went to school there. As I am laying down I hold steadfast to the joy I would feel if I actually lived somewhere else. I couldn’t specify the country but i could specify the wonderful feeling of ahh, my wish has finally come true.
I resided in that feeling, and I even remember my attention wandering off into randomness but I brought it back and again held it steadfastly on the wonderful feeling of my desire being my reality. I dropped into sleep while holding the feeling and I found myself in a vivid dream (imaginal act). I was sitting in a classroom, there were black people and blonde people, and girls and boys were sitting in the same room (this doesn’t happen in Iran). I was sitting in the last row of the class on the right end of the room and I was observing my classmates. Suddenly I had an overpowering feeling that “omg, I live here, this is my classroom, this is my home.” and I had a feeling of certainty that this is a different country from my hometown. The dream was so intense and vivid that when I woke up I had to take a moment to realize that was a dream. I was so certain that I was living there with all of my being until I awoke and realized it was just a dream and I was terribly disappointed that it was all a dream, I nearly wanted to cry.
Fast-forwarding to age 12, my cousin from Germany calls to ask my Mom if she’d be interested in applying for the DV lottery program for a chance to win a U.S. green card. She said oh it must be a scam but if it’s free we will apply. So, all of us 3 members of the family applied and let it go. My mom kept saying oh this is probably fake, nothing is gonna happen. But since it was free she thought well we don’t have much to lose.
Next year comes and we get a phone call from my cousin in Germany. “I have good news and bad news,” she says what is it. K (me) has won the lottery but you can’t go with her because she’s a kid. If you had won you could take the entire family and kids under the age of 21. My mom was excited but also disappointed. She said well it’s ok, we’ll send her alone so she can finish her high school and college there.
Fast-forwarding again, a year passes and my family applies for the lottery again in hopes that they might win. And surely, my mom wins just a year after I had won. I was prepared to go to the U.S. alone, I had an interview appointment at the U.S. embassy in the UAE but we had to cancel it because now that my mom has won, she can take her 13-year-old child with her. So, exactly this happens. We go to the embassy and my mom and I get an American Visa added to our Iranian passports. they said once we enter the U.S. they will send us a permanent resident card in the mail.
So, I come to the U.S. with my newly divorced mother. I spoke English fluently almost with no accent. I am now 15 years old and entered my sophomore year in high school. One day I am sitting in my world history class, in the back of the room on the far right end row and I’m observing the room when suddenly I feel, “I have been here before.” I was sitting in the same exact spot I sat in and some of my classmates had blonde hair and others were black which is something I could never have in Iran.
I just want to point out, that at the age of 11 I had no access to Neville's teachings, I didn’t consciously know what I was doing, I just intended to escape my life in my imagination and I did it at night before sleep and I intensely focused on it because I was so deeply in love with the idea of living in a different country. I didn’t think about what country or even what it would look like, I only resided in the wonderful feeling that my wish is true and I held the feeling so intensely that I fell asleep to it and my subconscious mind put me in the exact drama that would resemble the feeling as completely true. My subconscious dreamed the scene automatically. I didn’t pick it.
Another point is, after that, I always had a sure feeling in my heart that one day I will live in a foreign land, even a psychic had told my mom that she sees suitcases packed and we are leaving the country. I was 12 at that time. my mother thought she was talking nonsense.
From the story that I have shared here, you may be able to tell that I personally nor my mom didn’t lift a finger to make it happen. It all came to us, my cousin offered to fill out the application for us, and she did everything. And my mom kept consciously doubting, she said it will never happen, this is a scam and such words but my subconscious conviction and imagination were far more powerful than the doubts of the conscious mind (i personally didn't think it's gonna happen either, I just had a feeling one day I'll live elsewhere. When we actually won it felt like a miracle. My parents were in the middle of a divorce, they sold the house and all our stuff, I and my mom moved in with my grandparents and suddenly we had good news about moving to the U.S. and everything was at the perfect time. I can even say, it was mathematically perfect timing and the orchestration was done so smoothly and effortlessly. like, an extremely fine work of drama.
I moved to the U.S. at the age of 15, which is 4 years after the visualization experience. Now, I am 24 and received my American passport 4 years ago. Since age 22 I have been consciously manifesting and using the law. Before that, I didn’t have any practice or technique that would allow me to “direct” the law. I manifested a 7 figure business and healed my shoulder injury all from the state of being half asleep. From the drowsy state between complete sleep and wakefulness.
The last thing I want to add is that you want to replace your feeling of attachment to an idea with the feeling of conviction and certainty that it is already done. It is the present reality. Instead of the worry feeling of “what if it doesn’t come true?” reside in the feeling of, “ahh, how wonderful that I am this…”.
It is truly about changing your concept of yourself. Even when you worry and have anxiety around your life you are still in the center of the universe with the divine. And always remember that you have these wonderful capacities because you are God’s child. As he said “yee are made in his image.” that means, the wonderful mind of the creator of this wonderful drama of a universe resides within you. Therefore as he dreams, you can dream too. It’s just about controlling your mind and feeling. And remember, the cause of all our suffering is that we have lost touch with our true Self which is one with the Lord of the universe.
Take this affirmation with you:
“I know that God’s power is limitless; and as I am made in His image, I, too, have the strength to overcome all obstacles.”
and, always, always, always, focus on the feeling of the wish fulfilled before falling asleep.
Here's the link if you wanna read it on the app :- 🔗🔗🔗

Hehehe. Sure. ;)
"First of all: she has a green card or visa or whatever is needed for her to stay in the country. Just like VK did.
And second: having a kid BE BORN in the US specifically means the kid gets a US citizenship! That’s why (illegal) immigrants do it!!! 🤷🏼‍♀️"
Not at all! She has now working visa for maximum 5 years deliver by Myanmar consul probably and delivered by her mother agency. She must won a green card somehow (by green card lottery) but I truly doubt that she has one. Maybe? Maybe not. If she had one, she would be on the process of getting US citizenship now. And yet she is still holding her 'Asian' passport.
After that period of 5 years visa must be renew and she needs to apply again with new modeling job on her list and new portfolio. If she had only a few or none she will not get it. If she quit modeling there is no chance to get any working visa. Models are working as entertainers there.
And second, baby who was born at US is automaticaly an American. But her or his parent is NOT!!! And she could be send away to the country where she come from wirh her child. Especially when she has no money, no legal financial support or no legal visa to stay there. Child residential status is another story. If it was so easy like that all immigrant would be pregnant out there. And they would stay there safe. This is not so easy. America is a tricky country. You need a good layer to make it happen like that! Hahahahaha. Study topic better next time. Carefully! 😆😆😆
Illegal immigrants can stay only by >legal marriage< there. Not by giving a birth at US territory. It may give you some kind of a chance to stay there longer but with no rights as legal citizen. And child has nothing to do with that. American law is harsh.
Do you know why Emma is married??? That's why! Because having a baby with her partner does not gurantee she could stay there and working legally as single mother from Australia but having a US baby with Tom.
So keep your fantasy to yourself, K. 😎
You have no idea how it works there. America is tough. Biurocracy at best.
***
SUUUUURE EL needed to marry a millionaire to stay in the US. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Run along now, you're starting to piss me off. 🤨

4 Dec 2022 | Asato Yuya 35th Birthday Event
Tumblr media
Yuya’s birthday event has always been a special fan event that I look forward to in December each year since being his fan. I've participated my first birthday event in 2018, and the second in 2019.
Ever since the pandemic struck in early 2020, I have not physically met Yuya as borders closed to overseas travellers.
Although I have participated in several online fan meetings (2020 Photobook 1-to-1 Virtual Chat, 2021 Code 1515 ZOOM call), I am glad that border restrictions lifted somewhat this year so I could fly to Japan and participate in person AND on the actual birthday itself too!
~ 2nd Session ~
As I could not reach the venue in time for the 1st session, I only applied for the 2nd and 3rd session.
We had to report to the venue in two batches according to our assigned number (mine was 70) so I decided to chill at the nearby cafe with coffee to calm my anxiety.
When it was about time for me to head to the event hall, I confidently showed my Singapore identity card and I managed to head in with no issues!
The gifts were collected by the staff and taken away immediately to the back room, but I have no doubt that the gifts were safely received by Asaty.
Tumblr media
At the start of the event, the MC reminded us of the house rules before calling Asato Yuya out from backstage.
I was bracing for myself to start crying but instead, his infectious energy brought a huge grin to my face and it made my cheeks hurt!
Assay came out in his bright green screen suit (lmao) which I found super amusing because I started thinking of what I can photoshop over the fabric oops!
Tumblr media
① Cross-talk
Asaty and the MC had a little banter about his hoarse voice, and his birthday NicoLive broadcast the night before.
It was then cake time, and we all wished him happy birthday!
Tumblr media
②Fan Q&A
The emcee had a list of questions shortlisted for this section. And the 1st question selected was his kanji of the year: 興 (which he forgot how to write and the MC had to come over to teach him how to write it.)
Question 2 was from an fan-friend of mine, “Which country would you like to visit? For myself, I would like to visit Australia and Singapore." --- Asaty said he'd like to visit Europe. And that although there were lots of museums, he is not a fine art person. He then demonstrated his short attention span looking at art. However, he said interactive museums like Zoos or Aquariums interest him more.
And to my surprise, my question was picked! "Asato-kun's English pronunciation is really cute. Please hold a conversation with the MC in English!"
MC: What time did you go to bed last night? Asaty: 3...o'clock! AM! MC: What time did you wake up? Asaty: 6...o'clock! AM! No more please!
At this time, the whole hall was laughing so hard because he was struggling to hold the conversation. Asaty then talked about how he loves translator apps, and when he was talking about the soccer match with his western uncle, his uncle was kind enough to write in English and provide a Japanese translation below each line to help him.
There were other questions asked but I could not remember them because I was already excited my question was picked.
③ Nintendo Switch with Asaty
After the Q&A session, it was game time. In the past, we used to play rock-paper-scissors and gesture games but this year it was Nintendo switch!
4 fans are picked by lottery to come up to challenge Asaty in each mini Mario party game. There were a total of 6 rounds or so.
Asaty shared that in the first session, he was defeated by his fans who were eager to thrash his ass in the game, and he told us to play nice because it was his birthday.
And some of the games were absolutely hilarious because Asaty is very vocal when he games, so he was jumping, shouting “Oi!!!!“ and staring at the daring fans who made him lose. I think this was the best segment they have ever done since I joined his birthday event! The chances of getting picked was about 15%, so many fans got to play!
On the 4th round, my seat number was called to join as the last player, and because I was kinda zoning out from the lack of sleep, my mind didn't register the Japanese number (70).
So I sheepishly scuttled to the front and was seated closest to where Asaty was standing, and took Birdo's game controller. Our game was quite hard and I didn't understand the game rule instinctively, so I started freaking out.
The patient staff was helping me throughout while I made all sorts weird distressed noises.
When I finally figured out the controls by accident, I shouted "oh my god!" when the face stretched - and Asaty snapped his head so fast to look at me.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I lost round 1 because I didn't realise that we were supposed to copy the sample face. I think Asaty sensed my distress and he offered to do round 2, saying that "It's too short! This game is hard!" Bless him!
I scored a bit better in the 2nd round but still got the lowest score, and the emcee ushered us back to our seats. I exchanged glances to silently thank Asaty with my eyes on my way back to my seat, but he was staring so hard (with a smile) instead.
④ Aisatsu (Greetings) Time
Before Aisatsu, there was also a lucky draw of an autographed event postcard for 5 lucky fans! Unfortunately I did not get picked.
Finally, to wrap up the event, Asaty gave a short thank you speech for us coming today, and that he was glad to celebrate his birthday with all of us this year.
The emcee then thanked Asaty and invited him to exit the hall, and he briefed us on the photo-taking session. All poses are assigned and we could choose 1 out of the 3.
Pose 1: Double peace sign
Pose 2: 35 pose
Pose 3: Finger hearts
I selected the 35 pose to commemorate his birthday!
⑤ Phototaking
We were ushered row by row outside the hall to wait for our turn to take photos with Asaty. We had to sanitize our hands before taking the letter paper of the pose we want.
I already knew what I wanted to say to Asaty, and rehearsed it a million times in my head. It really felt like I was going to meet a long-lost friend, rather an Oshi, so I wasn't as nervous as my first meeting in 2018 (I was so scared back then).
When the girl went up first in front of me, I could watch their conversation and got really nervous. I distinctively remember watching her and how she interacted with Asaty, it was a very polite conversation.
When she was done and Asaty watched her leave before turning his attention to me, I gave my biggest wave and shouted "Long time no see!"
Tumblr media
I remember his eyes going wide and he leaned forward, almost off his seat, "Pame-chan?!" he asked as if to confirm and as I nodded my head, he gave the biggest grin, replying "Thank you!" and his smile was so blinding!
Pamy: Long time no see! *waves wildly* Asaty: *eyes widen* Pame-chan?!! Pamy: Un! Long time no see! Asaty: *breaks out into the happiest smile* Thank you!! Staff: 35 pose please! Pamy: *holds up 3 fingers in left hand, 5 in right* Staff: No no, just 5! Asaty: *turns over to check* I do 3, you do 5! Pamy: OH!! Sorry! Staff: 📸 Pamy: (in English) I'm coming for the 3rd part! Asaty: Ah! *nods nods* Thank you! (I found out a few days later through the fan waiting behind me that Asaty pretended to understand my English, oof! That was brutal!) Staff: Okay, time is up! Pamy: *gets up and walks off* Your English conversation was super cute just now haha~! MC/Staff: *laughs* (walks off the photo venue) Asaty/Staff: YOUR POLAROID!!!! Pamy: OHHH! Thank you!!! Eheh! Asaty: *laughs and waves*
I then waited at the lobby for a fellow fan (our first time meeting), and we went for tea to wait for the next session to start.
Tumblr media
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~
~ 3rd Session ~
My seat was 34 this time round, so I was in the third row! The programme was largely the same as the 2nd session, and the MC reminded us of the house rules before ushering Asaty out.
Tumblr media
① Cross-talk
This time, Asaty changed into a dark navy suit with a turtle-neck sweater, and his hair was slicked back. He did a twirl and asked if we liked this outfit choice, and it felt very formal.
During the cake session, Asaty finally took a bite of the strawberry and a huge forkful of cake. It was really funny to see him stuff his face.
I think the cake ended up being too sweet so he had to ask for water to wash it down.
I can't remember what they spoke about during the cross-talk. But I do remember that he spoke about how he has been in Tokyo for 16 years, that he considers himself more of a Tokyoite than Okinawan.
② Fan Q&A
My question didn't get picked for this round unfortunately, and some of the questions he answered were covered in previous years' events - eg. his parents wanted to call him "Tokiya" but it only stuck around for 2 weeks before they changed it to "Yuya".
③ Nintendo Switch with Asaty
This time round, Asaty selected all the princess characters (Princess Peach, Rosalina and Daisy) while he played as Birdo (who annihilated him in Session 2) It was super funny because he got thrashed by his fans again, some of them had super aggressive gameplay!
In one game, it was some tank shooting game and one fan blasted his tank non-stop, and ended his game within seconds. We were all laughing so hard because she was brutal.
Because all the fans didn't hold back, Asaty was literally shouting: "Oi! Daaaaisy!! Oi!! Peeechy!! Oi! Rosalina!!"
My two Asaty fan-friends got lucky and could play with him again for the 3rd session!
④ Aisatsu time
Before Asaty gave his thank you speech, he drew five lucky numbers to receive the autograph postcard. Again, maybe my lucky streak has worn off and I didn't get picked but I got to watch him interact with the lucky fans!
When he hands over the postcard, he bows at his fans and really stares at them (with a smile) in thanks. It was really cute to watch! Again, thank you Mama Asato for bringing up and reminding Asaty to thoroughly appreciate fans.
Asaty gave his thank you speech, and thanked us for supporting him till now.
⑤ Phototaking
Once again, we were ushered out of the event hall row by row for the phototaking. I was in row 3 so I didn't have to wait long.
I selected the finger heart pose this time round because it looked cute.
Pamy: Asato-sensei, Thank you for teaching me Japanese! *deep bow* Asaty: 😆 Thank you! Staff: Finger heart pose please! Staff: 📸 Asaty: *leans over the Covid splash screen with serious look on face* Thank you very much for everything as always! Pamy: I'll support you from abroad! Asaty: When did you return back? Me: 2 weeks ago… (**I must have heard him wrongly because he shook his head) Asaty: No, when are you returning back? Staff: Okay, time is up! Pamy: Soon! I'll support you online okay! (Asaty was really scrambling to talk as I got up to take the polaroid and leave.) Asaty: Be careful when you return back okay? Pamy: *turns back to wave* I will! Asaty: 😊👋🏼
(** Return in Japanese, depending on the speaker could either mean return to Japan or in my instance return back to Singapore, so I misheard and the staff was also listening to our conversation so I panicked.)
I read in many fan accounts (and also observed with my eyes) that Asaty will watch your back as your leave.
So I turned and gave him the wildest wave and he smiled dazzlingly and waved back.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~
Tumblr media
Summary:
It's really been such a long time since I last saw Asaty in person, and I forgot how tall he was. His happy energy just spreads out when he smiles, and I really felt he was genuinely appreciative of his fans, especially those that stuck around for years.
I could recognise his regulars, and those who attended multiple sessions. Another fan was telling me unlike Rin Rin's birthday event (that you have to ballot for and they book a even bigger venue which made it very formal), Asaty's event was about 100-odd fans and has a more friendly-feeling.
Because of that, I'm grateful that a smaller event meant a cosier one, which we get a chance to play games with Asaty and also chat with him a bit.
I myself did not expect him to remember my name, maybe "Singapore fan" might jog his memory, but he caught me by surprise because I didn't have to even say my country or my name.
He remembers.
As he does to all his fans.
It was really an unexpected surprise, and something that I will remember for a long time.
Happy 35th Asaty!

Hi, so I know you’re originally from Türkiye (see - doing my bit 🤭) and now living in NYC. It’s been my dream since I was little to live in the US and specially New York but I keep talking myself out of it because even though I’ve loved visiting on holiday, it’s like a really big step to move abroad alone. I would still love to do it in the future so just wanted to ask, when you made the move, did you already have a job lined up or did you go for studying and just ended up staying? and how did you find the initial move/how long did it take for you to feel at home over there? Anyway, hope you and your doggo are doing okay 🤗
I don’t want to talk too specifically about myself in that regard because I don’t reveal certain things online for privacy reasons. And none of you even know my name for that reason.
But I will still try to answer your questions. You definitely need one of these two venues: finding a job which will provide you a work visa or coming here as a student. One requires luck, the other money. Also, I don’t know which country you are from but you can apply for Green Card lottery (while you are still at your own home country). The green card lottery is done every year and you can apply as many times as you want, and it is 100% about luck hence the name “lottery”.
I didn’t feel any particular culture shock because I was already very into US culture since I was a little kid , so nothing about it surprised me really because I already knew everything about it through movies and TV shows and documentaries and so on. And I am a very independent, introverted loner , so doing this on my own was not a big issue for me but I know certain people who can’t be away from their family for too long or who needs people’s support around them may be having a harder time with moving to another country on their own .

What is a green card
On this page you will read detailed information about Green Card Eligibility.
As an immigrant seeking lawful permanent residence in the United States, you may be wondering if you qualify for a green card and how to navigate the application process. With over one million green cards issued annually, determining your eligibility is the critical first step. In this article, you will learn the different paths to qualifying for permanent residency, from family-sponsored to employment-based applications. The step-by-step guide outlines everything you need to know to successfully complete your green card application, including required forms and documents, processing times and fees. Gain valuable insight into this complex process so you can pursue permanent U.S. residence confidently.
What Is a Green Card?
A green card, also known as a permanent resident card, is an identification document issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that proves you have permanent resident status in the United States. As a green card holder, you have the right to live and work permanently in the U.S., apply for U.S. citizenship if you meet certain eligibility criteria, and receive benefits like Social Security and Medicare.
Permanent Resident Status
Permanent resident status allows you to live and work in the U.S. indefinitely. However, it is not the same as U.S. citizenship. As a permanent resident, you must renew your green card every 10 years and you can lose your status if you move out of the U.S., commit certain crimes, or are found to be inadmissible or deportable under U.S. immigration law. To become a naturalized U.S. citizen, you must meet the eligibility criteria, including living in the U.S. as a permanent resident for at least 5 years.
Applying for a Green Card
There are several paths to obtaining a green card, including through family sponsorship, employment, humanitarian programs, or the diversity visa lottery. The process typically involves filing a visa petition, application forms, documents proving your eligibility, and an interview. The time it takes to get a green card depends on the category under which you are applying and processing times, which can vary. Once your application is approved, your green card will be mailed to you.
In summary, a green card provides permanent resident status allowing you to live and work in the U.S. long-term. While it does not make you a citizen, as a green card holder you have the opportunity to naturalize after meeting certain requirements. The process of obtaining a green card will differ depending on your individual situation and the category under which you are eligible.
Green Card Eligibility: Who Qualifies?
Family-Based Green Cards
If you have a family member who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder), they may be able to sponsor you for a family-based green card. The categories include:
Immediate relatives (spouses, unmarried children under 21, and parents of U.S. citizens over 21)
Unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. citizens
Married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens
Brothers and sisters of U.S. citizens over 21
Spouses and unmarried children of lawful permanent residents
The process involves filing a family-based visa petition, application forms, and supporting documents. The wait time depends on the category and country of origin.
Employment-Based Green Cards
If you have a job offer from a U.S. employer, you may be eligible for an employment-based green card. The categories include:
EB-1: Priority workers (extraordinary ability, outstanding professors/researchers, multinational executives/managers)
EB-2: Professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability
EB-3: Skilled or professional workers, unskilled workers
EB-4: Special immigrants (religious workers, employees of U.S. foreign service posts)
EB-5: Immigrant investors
The employer files a labor certification and I-140 immigrant petition to establish that there are no qualified U.S. workers for the position. You must then file adjustment of status or consular processing application.
Other Green Card Categories
Additional green card categories include: humanitarian-based, widows/widowers of U.S. citizens, abused spouses/children of U.S. citizens/LPRs, victims of crimes, asylum/refugees, diversity immigrants, and certain former U.S. citizens. Eligibility criteria and the application process differ for each category.
In summary, green cards are available through family relationships, job offers, humanitarian reasons or other special categories. The eligibility criteria, wait times, and application process depend on the specific category. With patience and the right strategy, many individuals are able to navigate the system and achieve their goal of becoming lawful permanent residents of the United States.
How to Apply for a Family-Based Green Card
To apply for a family-based green card, you must first determine if you are eligible based on your relationship to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Once eligibility has been established, you will need to gather the necessary documents to file Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative.
Eligibility Based on Family Relationship
U.S. citizens can petition for green cards for their spouses, children (unmarried and under 21), parents, and siblings. Lawful permanent residents can petition only for their spouses and unmarried children. You must prove the family relationship with documents like birth and marriage certificates.
Filing Form I-130
The U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident family member submits Form I-130 to establish the qualifying family relationship. Required evidence includes proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence, as well as documents proving the family relationship like birth and marriage certificates. Biographic information, addresses, and signatures are also required from both the petitioner and the beneficiary (the family member seeking a green card).
Attending the Visa Interview
Once the I-130 petition is approved, most family-based green card applicants must attend an interview at a local U.S. consulate or embassy. Applicants should bring original versions of civil documents proving the family relationship, like birth and marriage certificates. The interview aims to confirm the details provided in the petition and on the application forms. Applicants should expect to answer detailed questions about their relationship, background, plans in the U.S., and other relevant topics.

Tumblr media
Excited to win Australia’s new lottery?  A new law has been proposed that will allow 3000 foreign workers to the country. This law was inspired by the green card system in the United States in which winners are given a pathway to citizenship.
“This is the first time that we’ve allocated part of our permanent migration allocation to a specific region – and it is revolutionary,” he said.
“The reason we’re doing it is a desire to build the people-to-people links with the Pacific, and one of the best ways of doing that is building our Pacific diaspora.”

Lozano Law Firm Gives Insights Of The Green Card Lottery
The Green Card or the Diversity Visa Lottery grants individuals and their families the chance to obtain a Green Card in the United States. It provides access to people who might not have had this opportunity through other means.
With the help of the immigration attorneys at Lozano Law Firm, this article analyzes the details of the Diversity Visa program. It includes your background, eligibility requirements, and the steps needed to participate.
Understand The Diversity Visa With A Lozano Law Firm Attorney
Not everyone is eligible for the Diversity Visa. It excludes immigrants from Canada, China, India, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. These countries send countless immigrants to the United States annually through different immigration channels. However, two exceptions exist:
If your spouse's country is eligible, you can apply together.
If your parents were not born in your birthplace, you can use their birthplace on the application.
Apart from being from an eligible country, you must also meet the education or work requirements. You should have either graduated from high school or accumulated two years of work experience within the past five years. Just ensure your occupation has the U.S. Department of Labor’s approval.
If you are married to a U.S. citizen, applying for the Diversity Visa might not be the best choice. It is because you can easily opt for a marriage-based Green Card. However, applying for the Diversity Visa is faster than other sponsorships if you have a non-spousal green card sponsor. Check out more Info here.
Ineligible Countries For 2023
For 2023, countries like Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, and Honduras are among the ineligible nations. It also includes India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, the United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
The Selection Process
Winners of the program are chosen randomly through a computer program. No country can receive more than seven percent of the total allocation. There are no exact selection dates, but usually announced by May of the following year. You can check your application status on the Diversity Visa webpage, provided you have saved your confirmation number.
History Of The Diversity Visa Lottery
The concept of the Diversity Visa Lottery traces back to the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. This system prioritized individuals with family or employment ties to the United States, significantly shaping the nation's demographic landscape. However, the creation of the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 allocated 5,000 visa slots for individuals adversely affected by the 1965 act. Over the next five years, this number increased to 15,000.
In 1990, the United States took a significant step to increase its immigrant population. They created the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program as part of the Immigration Act. It marked the beginning of the Diversity Visa Lottery, providing a yearly allocation of 50,000 Green Cards. Its objective was to control the dominance of immigrants from particular countries and open the doors to individuals from smaller nations.
Apply For The Diversity Visa
Participating in the Diversity Visa lottery is a relatively clear process. While most sections are straightforward, there are a few nuances to be aware of.
Country of birth. Mention the country where you were born, not your current residence. Use the current name if your country has undergone a name change.
Country of eligibility. It refers to your country of birth unless you use your spouse's or parent's country of origin.
Spouse. Include your spouse, even if they do not live with you and have no plans to immigrate.
Children. List all biological and adopted children, regardless of their age. Also, include stepchildren under 21, even if you are no longer with their other parent.
The Diversity Visa Lottery is open for entry each year between October and November. You can inquire from the Lozano Law Office to know more about the eligibility criteria.
Summary
Participating in the Diversity Visa Lottery offers individuals from less-represented countries to realize their American dream. If you meet the eligibility criteria, submitting your application could be your first step toward a brighter future in the United States. Remember to stay informed about the changing list of ineligible countries.

Navigate The Immigration Process With Immigration Lawyers
Immigration refers to the movement of people from one country to another. The people immigrating do not have citizenship in the country they’re moving to.
In the United States, immigration is a legal process. It’s necessary to ensure that the person moving to the country is qualified to live there.
The individual will need to bear the expenses imposed by the government, and their submission must gain authorization from the United States government.
Therefore, for those who are ill-prepared, pursuing immigration could lead to squandered resources, including finances, time, and energy. Hence, comprehending the intricacies of the immigration system is vital, and an immigration lawyer can offer valuable guidance in this regard.
Temporary Stay Vs Permanent Residency Not everyone who comes to the United States plans to permanently stay there. There are those who plan to only stay for a fixed period. For example, tourists usually only stay for a month or less.
A business executive who is assigned to negotiate contracts with business partners in the U.S. might only stay for a week or so. Contractual workers may only stay for a maximum of six months.
Those who plan to temporarily stay in the United States don’t have to undergo the process of immigration. However, they still need to obtain a nonimmigrant visa.
There are different types of nonimmigrant visas for business and tourism, study, and work. Those who plan to immigrate to the United States will need to obtain a green card.
Getting one is a part of the immigration process. It allows a non-U.S. citizens to have permanent residence in the United States.
This means that a holder can work and live anywhere within the country without restrictions. This is also necessary for applying for U.S. Citizenship.
Of the two, it’s significantly harder to obtain a green card. Hence, individuals opt for nonimmigrant visas if they don't meet the eligibility criteria, and may consider obtaining a temporary visa instead.
Thus, allows for an extended stay of several years in the United States. Additionally, during the duration of their stay, they could potentially become eligible for a green card.
The Different Types Of Green Cards You Can Qualify For
If you plan to stay in the United States as a non-U.S. citizen, you will have to know which type of green card you qualify for. For example, if you are a close relative of a U.S. citizen, you may qualify for a family-based green card.
You’re a close relative if you are the spouse, child, parent, or sibling of the sponsor. Immigrants to the U.S. also use employment-based green cards which are divided into five categories, namely EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, EB-4, and EB-5.
The first four categories emphasize the worker's skills that can benefit the United States. EB-5 focuses on investors who are active in the process of investing $1,050,000 in a new commercial enterprise.
The details of the immigration process will vary depending on your home country. You might want to seek the advice of an immigration attorney if you plan to take this route.
Refugees, asylees, as well as victims of human trafficking, abuse, and crime may qualify for humanitarian green cards. After receiving refugee status or asylum, individuals who remain in the country for a minimum of one year are eligible to apply for a green card.
If none of the aforementioned green cards are applicable to you, you may be eligible for the diversity lottery. Individuals who have been physically present in the United States since January 1, 1972, are eligible for a long-term resident green card provided they entered the country before that date and have not departed since. Summary
The process of immigration can be complicated for the unprepared. It costs time and money, so it’s ideal to get it right the first time. You may choose to apply for a temporary visa if you can’t qualify for an immigrant visa.
As you navigate the complex process of obtaining legal permanent residence in the United States, you may find that qualifying for a green card is a significant milestone. This can be a challenging journey, and seeking the guidance of an experienced immigration attorney can provide you with the clarity and support you need to succeed.
