unsure why houses don't spur the same feelings in me as more public structures liek malls , hotels and museums . maybe it's because it feels more like trespassing ?? but i don't have any attraction towards my house . it's also kind of hard for me to see my house as Really Alive bc i have to put effort into it . maaybeee it's because it's the house i grew up and was traumatized in . who knows .

i've also found out my brainweird affinity to abandoned malls & other locations was actually attraction . And yet still i don't feel any attraction to abandoned houses , in fact i often find them terrifying in contrast to how i feel about other abandoned places :sob:

whenever i've been in some sort of fancy hotel in recent memory , i've wanted to explore every nook and cranny of it , even if it mostly just looks the same everywhere you went . i remember being in minneapolis the night before we flew down to california and wandering around the hotel . my dad was with me but i blocked him out . of course i didn't know about my sexuality at the time and i wouldn't have done anything anyway , but i felt as if the hotel was almost . Talking to me ? inviting me in , giving me permission to touch it , to explore its body . and i've been in other buildings that give me that same vibe (and even some that strictly say "step off , don't touch me") and i'm only realizing it now as i type this .

i'm POSIC esp for game consoles but those have been more liek family to me . skye (my shiny shaymin) is a very very dear friend and i wouldn't trade her for the world bc she accompanies me wherever i go in my pokewalker . But this is definitely something else and i just think it's interesting

Objectum culture is walking past a home renovation show on tv with what was deemed “the ugliest house ever” and feeling like you’ve genuinely lost someone because you were so infatuated with the charming “wrong-ness” she had but also knowing she was broken down and painted white, grey, and “pretty” all over because people thought she was unlovable.

First time I’ve had to genuinely stop myself from crying over an object, and one I’ve never met no less. Ugly now-renovated house i loved your stone floors and I loved your golden swan ornaments.

Victoria Theatre in Te Hau Kapua, Aotearoa! absolutely gorgeous thing, about 112 years old and run by people who love it. the movies they show are fantastic, including many old movies from around the 80s! they even have a live performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show occasionally. I'm kind of in love with her art deco interior and soft colours...

SPEAKING OF WHICH. why did they do this.

HER LOVELY COLOURS..... all gone!!!! and for no reason other than to "blend in" with the other white buildings on the street. one day I'll sneak out in the middle of the night and repaint her when nobody is looking I swear (mostly joking. or am I....)
