Porcelain bjd: Latest works May 2023 and information about available and made to order ball jointed dolls

Hi everyone! Custom orders are currently closed but some dolls are in process right now and will be soon available. You can check the process in my FB or IG or to reserve them if you like what you see. Jen, Kyra, Blossom and some sweet goblins are available right now at the Etsy shop. I am not sure when I will be reopening the custom orders. I have many projects on the go, some by request but others are personal ones and it is time to dedicate some more time to them, some are in process since last year and others are even more old !

Cosas que tenés que saber sobre las Pullips (para comprar y que no te estafen):

Las Pullips no son BJDS. Internacionalmente se considera solo BJD a los muñecos y muñecas que (indiferentemente del material, resina, plástico u porcelana) están unidos internamente por un sistema de ELÁSTICOS (cuerda elástica redonda). Y, su función es ser “customizables” (por regla general no vienen en caja ya armados sino que la idea es que crees de cero tu propio personaje, las Pullip (Taeyang, Dal, Isul, Byul, etc) vienen en caja ‘ya armadas’ con un set de ropa y personaje determinado, y no están unidas por elásticos, entonces, no son BJDs).

* Modelos y Copias chinas:

Los modelos de Pullip varían con el tiempo. No solo la forma de los cuerpos sino la forma de las cabezas. Todas las pullips ORIGINALES tienen sistema de movimiento de ojos, pero (por ejemplo) algunas de modelos viejos pueden mover los ojos, y abrirlos y cerrarlos, pero no pueden “dejarlos cerrados” ya que la función se agrego en posteriores ediciones.Hay cabezas que se venden SIN el mecanismo de los ojos (prácticamente la parte mas cara en toda Pullip), y son porque el dueño anterior las “desarmo” y vendió el mecanismo de ojos por separado, o, porque son cabezas marca “Angel Gate” (o copias similares). - Angel Gate NO es original. Son copias chinas de las Pullips/Taeyangs/etc. Y se usan generalmente en cuerpos “sueltos” que la gente consiga. No traen maquillaje de stock como las Pullips reales. Si la cara esta pintada, es a mano, y no de fábrica. Cuídate que no te vendan una copia Angel Gate como una Pullip original. Si te venden una ‘AG’ o ‘Angel Gate’, el precio debe corresponderse al de una copia sin importar que tan bonita sea o que tanto se parezca a la original.

* Accesorios:

- Lo mismo si la muñeca tiene toda la ropa/accesorios originales, incluida la tarjeta de identificación, el stand para pararla (suelen venderse por buen precio sueltos así que posiblemente el vendedor te diga que “no lo tiene” y/o “viene sin stand” con tal de no dártelo) y la caja así este abierta (los zapatos son de las cosas que mas se cotizan, y los vendedores suelen darte toda la ropa pero sin los zapatos, y si no tienes mucha idea, crees que es un buen trato y luego te das cuenta de que no era así). Los “chips” de los ojos son intercambiables, los originales (así no te gusten) elevan el precio de la muñeca. Si te los dan con chips alternativos que no son los originales, deberían cobrarte menos. - Lo mismo pasa con la peluca, las pelucas de fabrica de las pullips se pueden vender por separado a mas de AR$ mil pesos argentinos aquí en el país, por lo que muchos vendedores te la dan con “una peluca hecha en casa” lo cual no tiene nada de malo siempre que el precio que te cobran se corresponda con una pelu de fur cosida a mano en sus casas...

* Cuerpos:

La mayoría de los dueños de Pullips cambia el cuerpo “de stock” (el que viene de fabrica) por un cuerpo “Obitsu” (casa japonesa) porque son mas durables y posan mejor.Todos los cuerpos de plástico tienden a desgastarse y quedar “sueltos” en las articulaciones (si no es que directamente se rompen). Si compras una Pullip usada (ya tenga su cuerpo de fabrica o un cuerpo Obitsu), cuídate del estado, de que tan “flojas” están las articulaciones y si los pies/manos tienen manchas de tinta (un problema muy común por la ropa que usan las Pullips, los Taeyangs, las Dal, los Isul, las Byul, etc.), si tiene manchas, el valor de la muñeca tiene que ser menor.

* ¡Cuidado con los grupos Argentinos!:

Que no te cobren de mas y te digan “ve a aquella persona que te lo arregla” (practica muy común en los grupos de Pullips y dolls de este país, ya que todas están ‘en combinación’, una te vende la muñeca usada fallada/rota, y te manda a su mejor amiga a que te cobre por arreglarla, y a su otra mejor amiga a que te haga ropa, y así sigue la lista.., por lo que la muñeca que creías te estaba saliendo “barata” te termina saliendo una fortuna al sumar todos los “servicios de reparación” que pagaste a las “amigas” de la persona que te la vendió en mal estado diciéndote que “no era nada y se arreglaba fácil”).Llegado el caso es mejor que compres una Pullip nueva y sellada a algún vendedor que la tenga o que la hagas pedir por tu cuenta a algún importador asegurándote así que la muñeca esta en buen estado y recibes lo que estas pagando.

* Hice esta lista para una persona que quería comprar una pullip y me pareció que seria útil subirla aquí también para que todos tengan una idea de que y cuanto les tienen que cobrar y que no se pasen de vivos y les den gato por liebre, cosa que desafortunadamente en los grupos de Pullips y BJDs de Argentina pasa seguido.

Finally finished!! This is a personal version of these beloved characters, Jen and Kira from the original Dark Crystal movie, made by request of a customer, inspired on the characters created by puppeteer Jim Henson and concept artist Brian Froud. For to create these dolls we sculpted two new bodytype and head molds, the boy mold is called Alvar, and the girl's mold name is Eglantina.
