finally! ref sheets for both my mcs from pixelberry’s classic games: blair (she/they) from high school story and claribel (she/her) from hollywood u.
pixelberry was awful at tracking/making the timeline clear back then so i set their stories at their third year of high school/university, which would be 2013 for blair and 2014 for claire (so, when the games were released). that's it! (i dont know what else to say)

ive been disillusioned with a lot of the left for a while, it's nice to at least see that other ppl see it now, though the reason why kinda fucking sucks.

guess who didnt realize/forgot others could see their profile on roommate websites and got messaged by someone asking if i was still looking for a room when i dont actually plan on moving until much later this year 🙃
#multiple reasons i cant move sooner: health insurance. phone. not enough money to sustain myself yet#i did check anyway tho and the apartment offered was. a LONG 2 bus rides away from campus & my work#so even if i was looking. itd have very likely been a no just for that unfortunately (im hoping to cut down on commute time not increase it)#i did feel a lil bad tho and IMMEDIATELY paused my account 😅#i only created them bc i was getting a feel for how those sites worked more than anything#and also seeing if i could find someplace cheaper than $850/month since thats all my sib found and#that is an entire month worth of paychecks#i do not plan on spending that much on rent alone. i need to eat AND id like to still have something for things i enjoy#anywho i wished her luck but uh yeah im gonna have to tinker a bit more. see whats there to hide my profiles for now#or maybe just openly tell people like 'i actually cant move until much later this year ive only just been familiarizing myself w these sites#so unless you can wait that long...' bc i dont wanna waste people's time nor my own yknow?#anywho#amber's shit you can ignore

I never understood Europeans bitching about (North) Americans and their obsession with ancestry until I read the comments on an archaeological article on Facebook 🥴 People will shove their ancestry DNA results down your throat when the conversation has absolutely nothing to do with it 😭
#I don't care that your 462nd great-grandfather was King Fucknutz XIV#Why are you telling people this when it has nothing to do with the article posted#And the thing is it's not even direct lines they brag about#They'll be like 'i'M reLAtED tO dICKwEAsLE III" *posts ancestry DNA screenshot*#Like my dude fill out your family tree you won't be so smug once you see how all of those lines cross 💀#I seriously will never understand why people will tell strangers who they're related to/descended from#My ancestry tree is private; I don't need people knowing who I am or my family is or from whom I'm descended#I'm pretty skeptical of anything that can tell you your DNA comes from x country in the world#It just means that you have a similar genetic profile to a sample of people living in a certain place#You do not inherit every single gene from every single ancestor#That's not how crossing over works#Not to mention that some genes are present only on the Y chromosome#So someone who's XX can neither inherit them nor pass them on#Also some genes are part of mitochondrial DNA#Which is inherited from the mother and the mother only#Mishka'a Ramblings#Also genealogical work shouldn't be about ego and bragging rights#It should be about discovering and connecting with the people who came before you
